While Twilight visits the Crystal Empire she bumps into a sertain guard pony. Then, she finds herself slowly falling in love.
Twilight decided to spent some time with her brother and Cadence, but keeps bumping into a sertain pony named, Flash Sentry. Twilight tries to pay much attention to it but, she starts falling slowly in love with him. Will she take a chance with him. If your hate Flashlight then just don't read.
It's been a while since Twilight has spent time with her brother and Cadence, so she decided to go to visit them for a little while. She was packing in her room, when Spike came in. "Twilight are you sure I can't come?" Spike asked. Twilight sighed, this was the fifth time he asked that and she started to get annoyed.
"Spike, for the last time, im only going for a little while. I'm just going to catch up with my brother and Cadence, you'll be bored." Twilight told him. Spike pouted but knew she was right. "Besides I already asked Fluttershy to look after you and she already agreed." Said Twilight. Spike looked and Twilight and sighed.
"Fine," Spike said smiling. Twilight hugged him. "Don't worry I'll be back before you know it." Twilight told the baby dragon. Twilight got the rest of her things and walked out. She looked at her friends who were coming her way.
"What are you all doing here?" asked Twilight confused. Pinkie was the fist to speak. "You didn't think we weren't going to see you off, did you silly?" Pinkie said. "Friends watch friends off when they go on trips, especially when they're best friends." Pinkie finished. Twilight smiled.
"Well, then we better get going to the train station before I miss my train." Twilight said starting to walk, with her friends following her. When they got to the train station they said their final goodbyes and a group hug. When they let go the train had arrived and Twilight got on. When she sat down she waved at her friends until they were no longer in sight.
Twilight know looked at the window and started thinking about what she would do with her brother when she got there. her train of thought was disturbed when the train came to a stop and everyone started getting out. When Twilight got out she saw Cadence waiting for her.
"Cadence" Twilight said going over to hug her old foal-sitter. "Twilight, it's been a while." Cadence told her returning the hug. Twilight looked around and turned to Cadence. "Where's my brother?" asked Twilight.
"Don't worry he's at the palace waiting for us."Cadence told her. "Then let's not keep him waiting." Twilight said. Cadence nodded and they started walking back to the palace. when they arrived she saw a training course with some guards training, but what got her attention was a guard who was walking around the field.
Twilight couldn't stop looking at him and just smiled. Cadence of course noticed and gave a little giggle. "Come on Twilight, you can stare at your coltfriend later." Cadence said. This, of course, got Twilight's attention and she started to to turn red.
"He's not...im, just...I'" Twilight started to stutter. This made Cadence laugh a little. Twilight gave her a somewhat mad face. Cadence looked at her and placed a hoof on her shoulder. "It's alright Twilight, I was just having a little fun with you." Cadence said. Twilight smiled and rolled her eyes playfully.
"What? He's your first crush, it's cute watching you love struck." Cadence said. "I am not love struck" Twilight said walking away. Cadence smiled and followed Twilight.
They entered the throne room where Shinning Armour was waiting fr them. "Twily" Shinning said hugging his sister, who returned the hug. "How was the train ride kiddo?" Shinning asked. "Fine" Twilight told him.
"Twilight, why don't you go unpack and then we can go to the park and have a picnic?" Cadence asked. Twilight nodded and walked out. She went to the room she was staying at and started unpacking. When she was done she walked out the door and saw a Flash walking down the same hallway.
She hoped he didn't notice her and just kept walking, but he stopped and looked at her. "Hello, princess. I didn't know you were here." Flash said. "Yeah, I came to visit my brother. I just arrived an hour ago." Twilight said. Flash smiled.
"Well, I hope you have a nice stay, princess." Flash said bowing. "Twilight, you can call me Twilight." Twilight told him. "Twilight, that's a beautiful name." Flash said. Twilight's heart started beating faster. Dang it, how does he always make her feel this way, Twilight thought to herself.
"Well, I better be off. I'll see you around Twilight." Flash said. he kissed her hoof and left. Twilight turned red and stared at him until he was out of sight. Twilight then started to walk to the throne room to meet up with Shinning Armour and Cadence.
When she got there she was still a little red about what happened. Shinning Armour noticed this. "What's wrong Twily?" Asked Shinning Armour. "Nothing, I'm fine." Twilight said. Shinning wasn't buying it. "Are you sure?" He asked again. Twilight nodded. "Alright." Shinning gave up.
"Well, the chiefs finished making the food for the picnic so we should get going." Cadence said. They picked up the basket and started walking out.
When they got to the park all Twilight could think about is Flash. He made her stutter, made her nervous, and he made her heart race and yet she still liked being around him. She never felt the same way before, and she liked feeling like this. Even if sometime she couldn't even talk. Was she in love? She didn't know yet. She was going to find out though. Maybe Cadence could help her. She was the princess of love after all.
After Twilight got back from the picnic she went to the balcony and just looked outside. She was in thought when someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Cadence. "Hi Cadence. What are you doing here?" Twilight asked.
"Alright, start talking." Cadence told her. Twilight looked confused and didn't know what Cadence was talking about. "You were all spaced out during the picnic and it's like your in a different world." Cadence said clearing it up. Twilight didn't really know what to say. She knows she said that she wold talk to her about it but know she was starting to not be so sure about it. "Twilight please talk to me." Cadence told her.
Twilight sighed and decided to just come clean. "Alright, I kept thinking about Flash." Twilight admitted. Cadence smiled a little. "I just don't know what to do. He always makes me stutter and gets me nerves and then I don't know what to say, but at the same time I like the feeling." Twilight admitted. She gave another sigh and looked at Cadence. "What should I do?" Twilight asked her.
" Well, maybe you should get to know him. That will let you get an idea of who he is and help you know how you feel about him." Cadence suggested.
"How do I do that?" Twilight asked. Cadence gave her a look making Twilight realize what she meant. "I am not asking him on a date." Twilight said.
"Why not Twilight? Dates are suppose to help you two know more about each other." Cadence told her. Twilight looked at the floor. Cadence smiled. Twilight really liked Flash to be like this. "What are you so scared of Twilight?" Cadence asked her.
"What if what I feel for him isn't true? Maybe, I'm just scared of losing the feeling." Twilight said. Cadence got closer to Twilight and gave her a hug.
"Well, if the feeling is true then it won't go away." Cadence told her. Twilight looked at Cadence. She knew she was right. It couldn't hurt to at least ask him.
"Alright Cadence, I'll ask him." Twilight said. Cadence smiled. "That's great and don't worry, you'll be fine." Cadence told her reassuring. Twilight returned the smile and left to find Flash.
She didn't want to wast time or else she might stop and change her mind about asking him. She started walking around the palace until she saw him standing in front of the throne room door. "Flash?" Twilight said approaching him. Flash looked at her and smiled.
"Hello Twilight, do you need anything?" Flash asked. Twilight tried several times to get the words out but each time she failed. "Are you alright?" Flash asked her. Twilight was about to just give it up but she knew she would regret it later.
"Flash...I was just wondering if, maybe...you would want to hang out?" Twilight asked. She was really scared of what he would say. If he said no she would feel stupid for asking. Flash looked at her and noticed how nerves she was. He knew it must have been hard for her to ask.
"Sure, that sounds great." Flash said. Twilight was surprised and relived at the same time. "Does 7:30, tomorrow work? I know this great place that has great food." Flash asked. Twilight was too frozen to answer and instead she just smiled and nodded. "Great I'll see you then." Flash said.
"Yea, great." Twilight said. She smiled and then walked back to her room. She couldn't stop smiling. A few moments later she herd a knock on the door. She opened it and Cadence came in. "What are you doing here Cadence?" Twilight asked.
"I wasn't just going to tell you what I told you and not know what happens next." Cadence said. "So, what did he say?" Cadence asked looking at Twilight.
"We're going to a restaurant tomorrow at 7:30." Twilight told her. Cadence held back a little scream of joy. "Calm down Cadence your almost as exited as me." Twilight told her.
"I'm sorry, it's just that he's the first guy you've ever liked and I'm really happy for you. You grew up really fast and if I'm this happy for you imagine how your brother is going to feel." Cadence said. Twilight's smiling face quickly turned into a scared one.
"Don't tell my brother." Twilight quickly said. Cadence looked confused. "Why not?" She ask Twilight. "I told you, it might not work out and I don't want my brother looking at Flash any different if it doesn't." Twilight said.
"That's really sweet of you. Don't worry I won't tell him." Cadence said. Twilight smiled.
"tell who, what?" Cadence and Twilight turned around and saw Shinning Armour standing there. Twilight started to panic. "Nothing." Twilight and Cadence said at the same time. Shinning Armour looked at Twilight and then at Cadence.
"What are you two hiding?" Shinning Armour asked. He looked over at Cadence waiting for an answer but she didn't say anything. " What is such a secret? Don't you you two trust me?" Shinning Armour said.
"Calm down Shinning it's nothing to be worried about." Cadence said pushing her husband out of the room. "Good luck with the date." Cadence whispered to Twilight. Twilight smiled and closed the door after Cadence and Shinning Armour got out. ' that was a close call.' Twilight thought to herself.
She climbed in bed eager for tomorrow to come. She just laid there thinking about the next day until she slowly started drifting off to sleep.
Twilight woke up with a little joy and went to the dinning hall where Cadence and her brother were already there. "Good morning Twily." Shinning Armour told her.
"Good morning." Twilight answered. She sat down and started to eat. It was quiet until Shinning Armour spoke up.
"Twily, I have some stuff to take care of. I know you came so we can spent time together but I promise it's just for today." Shinning Armour told her. Twilight was relived to hear that. Now she didn't need to make up an excuse to leave.
"That's alright Shinning. Royal duties come first." Twilight said. Shinning Armour smiled happy about his sister taking it so well. after breakfast Shinning Armour went to his duties and Cadence caught up with Twilight. "Your welcome." Cadence told her. Twilight looked at Cadence who had a grin.
"What did you do?" Twilight asked Cadence who was still smiling. "Did you have anything to do with my brother being busy today?" Twilight asked her knowing well the answer.
"Maybe." Cadence said. Twilight wanted to be mad with her but instead she was really happy she did what she did. With her brother being busy he wouldn't get to suspicious about her leaving. She didn't like keeping secrets from her brother but it was only just for a little while.
"Well, since your date isn't until 7:30 maybe we could do something to pass time." Cadence said. "Like maybe go to the city fair. " Cadence suggested.
"Yea sure that sounds like fun." Twilight said.
Cadence and Twilight spent a long while at the fair until it was finally time for Twilight's date. Twilight went to her room to get ready. She was brushing her mane when someone knocked on the door. Twilight opened the door and saw Flash standing there. "Are you ready to go?" He asked.
"Yea, ready." Twilight said following Flash. "So what's the restaurant called?" Twilight asked.
"Delicious wonders." Flash said. "It's as great as the name sounds. All the best for a princess." Flash said. Twilight blushed a little.
"Come on, don't say that. I'm just the same as anypony else." Twilight said. They arrived at the restaurant and and when the staff saw Twilight they immediately gave her a table.
"Wow, it usually takes up to an hour to be seated because of all the ponies waiting. I guess being a princess has it's good sides." Flash said.
"Yea it does. But it also has it's down sides." Twilight said. Twilight and Flash kept talking for a while until their food got brought to them. "Wow, these portions are big." Twilight said looking at her plate of food.
"Yea, you always have leftovers when you eat here." Flash said. " hay, can I ask you something? " Flash asked.
"Anything. " Said Twilight not knowing what he wanted to ask her. But he looked serious and that made her a little nervous. She hoped it wasn't bad.
"Why did you ask me to do something together? Not that I'm not having fun but, I'm just a guard and your a princess. What actually made you notice me?" Flash asked her. Twilight didn't think it was time to tell him about the other world so she decided to think about something else.
"Well, for starters we kept bumping into each other. You also seemed kind of nice and I sort of...like you." Twilight said. She waited for Flash to answer hoping he didn't reject her.
"You really mean it?" Flash asked. Twilight nodded. "I actually like you too. Your a great mare and I just guessed that you would never notice me." Flash admitted. Twilight was really happy now. Flash liked her too and that made her feel great.
"I guess we we were both scared for nothing." Twilight said. Flash laghed a little "yea, I guess we were." He said.
After they finished dinner they walked back to the palace. Flash decided to walk Twilight to her room. " I had fun. We have to do it again sometime." Twilight said.
"Yea, we will." Answered Flash. Before he left he planted a small kiss on Twilight's cheek. She started turning red and Flash walked off. Twilight closed the door and gave a sigh. This was the best night ever and she couldn't wait for more.
It has been three days since Twilight's and Flash's first date and they are now officially a couple. Twilight decided that maybe it was time to tell her brother the news. The problem is, she didn't know how. She decided to think about it on the way to his office. When she got there she knocked on the door nervelessly. She opened the door and saw her brother sitting at his desk doing some paperwork.
"Hay Twily, what are you doing here?" Shining Armour asked. Twilight took a deep breath and spoke.
"Shining, I have been keeping something from you." Twilight said. This got Shining Armour's attention. He started to listen carefully. "I have been meaning to tell you that...I'm, dating one of your guards." Twilight said waiting for a reaction from shining Armour.
"Your dating one of my guards?" Shining repeated. Twilight nodded. "Since when? Why didn't you tell me? Is this what you were hiding with Cadence?" Shining started asking a million questions. Twilight felt like she was being interrogated.
"Shining Armour I want to answer but maybe you should ask one question and wait for an answer first." Twilight said. Shining stooped talking and looked at Twilight.
"Why didn't you tell me Twily? I thought we told each other everything." Shining said.
"Says the pony who didn't tell me he had a mare-friend or that he was getting married." Twilight reminded him. "Guess now you know how it feels." Twilight said. Shining Amour was about to say something but he deserved that one.
"Can you at least tell me who he is." Shining Armour asked.
"It's Flash, Flash Sentry." Twilight said. Shining Armour started thinking about that name. He had herd that name before. He was a new member of the royal guards.
"When did you two get so close that he asked you on a date?" Shining Armour asked.
"Well, I'm the one that asked him out on a date." Twilight said. Shining Armour looked a little surprised. Twilight noticed and got a little mad. "Yes, I asked him. Get over it. Is it really that surprising?" Twilight asked. Shining Armour just decided to not answer that.
"So how long have you two been dating?" asked Shining Armour trying to avoid the question.
"Three days, I think." Twilight said. Shining was a little happy that they hadn't been dating that long. It meant that she didn't keep it a secret for too long.
Shining Armour was about to speak when a guard came in. "Excuse me your majesties, but there is a letter for you." They guard said. Shining took it and started reading.
Dear shining Armour,
It has been a while since we have seen you. We decided to invite you, Cadence and your sister to catch up on things. Come by later today. Don't even think about cancelling, your not allowed to cancel. I'll see you later.

After Shining finished the letter Twilight decided to ask him something. "Um, shining, do you think that maybe I could bring Flash?" Twilight asked. Shining Armour sighed and put the note down.
"Well, if it means that much to you then...I guess you can bring him along. It gives me a chance to get to know him better." Shining said.
"Great, just don't scare him to much." Said Twilight as she hugged her brother and walked out. "No promises." shining whispered to himself.
After Shining finished giving soldiers assignments he started heading to the train station with Twilight, Cadence and Flash. While they were waiting in the train station Twilight was talking to Flash, obviously trying to calm him down. He looked really nervous. Cadence noticed Shining Armour looking at Flash and smiled.
"Calm down Shining. He looks like a nice pony. What are you so worried about?" Cadence asked. Shining looked at Cadence and and back at Twilight.
"What if something goes wrong?" Shining asked. "What if they don't work out. Twilight would be devastated. I don't think I would be able to see her in pain." Shining said.
Cadence could understand what Shining was thinking. She had the same worry but she had to admit that she liked seeing Twilight happy. "Shining don't worry. Twilight seems happy. You should be happy for her, just give him a chance." Cadence said.
After that Cadence walked into the train that just arrived. Shining Armour looked at Twilight who was smiling with Flash. He did seem good. Maybe he was good for his sister after all.
When the all arrived at Canterlot Shining decided to talk to Flash. Twilight and Cadence were a little behind them having their own conversation. "So Flash, how are you settling in the Crystal Empire?" Shining said trying to start a conversation.
"It's a great kingdom." Flash said. "You don't know how happy I am that you excepted me. I like trying new things and this was a good opportunity." Flash said.
"And what are your feelings towards my sister?" Shining asked.
"She's a great mare and I plan on doing everything I can to make her happy. I really like her and It's hard to imagine me without her after I met her." Flash said. Shining looked happy with the answer. They kept talking a little more until they reached Twilight Valet's house. Shining knocked and almost imitatively the door opened.
Twilight Valet quickly reached and hugged Shining Armour and Cadence. Then she turned to Twilight and hugged her too. "I'm so happy you all came. Your Father is waiting inside." Twilight Valet said. She was about to turn around but she saw Flash standing there. "And who are you?" She asked him.
Twilight went next to Flash and answered for him. "Mom, this is Flash. He's my colt-friend." Twilight said wrapping a hoof around Flash's hoof. Twilight Valet's face turned from confused to happy.
"How could you have not told me sooner." Twilight Valet said pulling Flash into a hug.
"It's good to meet you ma'am" Flash said.
"Please, your family now. Just call me Valet. My husband will be so happy to meet you." She said. She let them come in and Night light came walking down the stairs. Twilight went over to her dad and gave him a hug.
"It's so good to see you all. It's been forever." Night light said.
"Twilight has news to tell you honey." Twilight Valet said letting Twilight speak.
Twilight turned to her dad. "I came here with Flash, my colt-friend."Twilight said. Night Light looked at Flash. It was hard to tell what he was thinking witch made Flash a little nervous. He shook his hoof and gave a slight nod.
"It's good to meet you. I'm guessing your treating my daughter right." Night Light said.
"Yes sir." Flash said starting to feel a little less nervous. After everyone was finished saying hi, they all sat down and started eating dinner.
"So Flash, tell us a little about yourself." Night Light said.
"Well, I grew up here in Canterlot. My mom and dad separated when I was small and I have a new step-dad and a step-brother about the same age as me. I always wanted to join the royal guards when I was small. I did get in, in the end. That's actually how I met Twilight. I'm really happy with her and she really did change my world." Flash said holding Twilight's hoof.
Twilight smiled at Flash. "That's really nice Flash." Twilight said nuzzling him.
"You seem like a great guy. I'm glad that if our daughter is dating somepony, it's you." Night Light said. Twilight was happy that her parents really liked Flash. She looked at Flash.
"I think so too dad. " Twilight said. After dinner it was time for them to go back. They did have some stuff to do. Cadence went to her room, Shining went his office and Flash walked Twilight to her room. "Well that went well." Twilight said.
"Yea it did. I'm happy your parents like me. And I'm pretty sure your brother is starting to warm up to us being together too." Flash said.
"Yea." Twilight smiled. Flash started leaning in to kiss Twilight but stopped when Cadence walked by. They both felt a little weird. "I'll see you later." Twilight said.
"Yea." Flash said. Twilight got in her room and closed the door. She felt a little embarrassed. She had been dating Flash for a while now they hadn't had their first real kiss. But she new it would happen at the right time. Right now, she was just happy they were together. Everything was going to be fine.
Twilight and Flash were in the park having a date. Everything was going well for them. They were eating their small picnic and just talking. Twilight decided to get them some ice cream since the ice cream store was just around the corner. Flash was just staring at the sky until he herd a voice calling him. He turned around and saw a mare coming his way.
"Flash? Is that you? Long time no see." The mare said. Flash looked at her and suddenly got a sour look on his face.
"What are you doing here SnowSky?" Flash said.
"Wow, I can't believe you're still mad. I would have thought that you would be coming back to me by now." SnowSky said. "Is it luck or maybe destiny?" She asked placing a hoof on Flash's shoulder.
"It's bad luck, now get out of here."Flash said pushing her hoof away. "I'm here on a date with my mare-friend and we want to be alone." Flash said now standing up.
"I don't see her." SnowSky said.
"Then look behind you." SnowSky and Flash turned around. Twilight was standing right there. SnowSky looked at Twilight surprised. She couldn't believe that Flash was actually dating a princess.
"We better go, come on Twi, we promised your brother we would be back in 3 hours and I don't think he would be happy if we're late." Flash said pulling Twilight away signalling for her to follow. Twilight looked back at SnowSky giving her a glare and then walked away.
Once they were close to the palace Flash turned around and looked at Twilight. "Sorry about her. We used to date but then I broke up with her. I guess she just doesn't know that I don't want to see her anymore." Flash said.
"yea, I really don't like her." Twilight said. Flash looked at Twilight a little suspicious.
"Are you just mad at her because she was trying to come on me." Flash said. Twilight turned her head and stayed quite. "No way, you were jealous."Flash said. Twilight still said nothing and just stayed there quite. "Come on Twilight your being paranoid."
They both didn't notice Cadence watching them. "I am not." Twilight said defensibly.
"Then stop worrying. Okay? can you do that. For me?" Flash said. Twilight nodded and looked at Flash. "Good, see you later." Flash said giving Twilight a small kiss on her cheek. Twilight just stood there a little unsure. She was about to go inside until someone taped on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Cadence.
"Hay Twilight." Cadence said. "What was that about?" Cadence asked.
"You herd?" Twilight asked a little worried. Cadence nodded. "All of it?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, now, you still haven't answered my question. What was that about?" Cadence asked. "Why does he think your jealous of someone?" Cadence asked.
"I'm not!" Twilight said. Cadence was taken aback by her sudden outburst.
"Calm down Twilight, I didn't mean to upset you." Cadence said.
"Don't apologize Cadence. I guess I was just mad because Flash's ex came on him like if they were together. Maybe he's right and I'm just being parodied." Twilight said.
"Twilight what are you really thinking? I have known you for a long time and I know that you don't think that your being paranoid." Cadence said. "Are you sure your not just saying that to make Flash happy." Cadence said.
"I d-don't know what your talking about Cadence. If I agree with him it's not just to make him happy." Twilight said. She knew she was lying though and she knew Cadence knew too. Cadence got closer to Twilight giving her a serious face.
"What's really going on Twilight? Please tell me." Cadence said.
Twilight knew she couldn't hide it from Cadence so she decided to come clean. "I honestly don't know. I can't really help but feel that the spark that me and Flash had is not as strong as before. And when I saw Flash's ex get near him I guess I felt...threatened. I guess I think that if I agree with him and never get him mad everything would be fine." Twilight said.
Cadence looked at Twilight with sympathy. "It's alright Twilight I'm sure that that's not true." Cadence said reassuring.
"What am I suppose to do Cadence. What if the spark is dying is going out and I can't light it back up." Twilight said. Cadence felt sorry for Twilight and thought about what she could say to make her feel better.
"Twilight, do you have any guesses on why the spark is dieing?" Asked Cadence.
"I don't know. I'm still sort of new to this while relationship thing." Twilight said.
"Maybe the first thing you should do is talk to Flash. Let him know how you feel." Cadence told her. "Maybe you can work it out together."
Twilight decided to go talk to Flash a soon as possible. She was looking for him all over the castle until she found him. But when she saw him her heart broke in half. He was kissing SnowSky.
"Flash?" Twilight asked taking a step back.
Flash pulled away and looked at Twilight who looked like she was going to cry any minute. "Twilight, this isn't what it looks like. Really." Flash said walking closer to Twilight.
"Sure it isn't...I can't believe you would stoop so low." Twilight said.
"Twilight-"
"You know what, I don't care. Do whatever you want. You know why? Cuz we're through!" Twilight yelled before she ran off.
Twilight was in her room crying softly into her pillow. She couldn't stop thinking about Flash. How could he do this to her? She didn't do anything wrong. But it doesn't matter anymore. They're over. But it still hurts to much. Twilight was cut from her thoughts when she herd a knock at the door.
"Go away, I want to be alone." Twilight said trying to make her voice sound normal but failing. They knocked again ignoring what Twilight said. Twilight walked over to the door. "I said I want to-" Twilight stopped half sentence when she saw her big brother standing in front of her.
Shining Armour noticed Twilight's eyes red and puffy and immediately got worried. "Twily what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Shining asked stepping inside her room. Twilight leaped to her brother hugging him tightly and crying into his chest. Shining was surprised but hugged her back trying to comfort her. Twilight cried for about three minutes before she calmed down a little. "Twily, can you tell me what happened? What has you so upset?" Shining asked.
"Shiny, I'll be fine. It's nothing important." Twilight said.
"If it weren't important then you wouldn't be crying. Just tell me." Shining said.
Twilight took a deep breath and looked at her brother. "I broke up with Flash." Twilight said. When she said that she looked as if she was going to burst into tears any second. Shining just looked at her shocked.
"Why did you break up with Flash? I thought you said you loved him." Shining said.
"I did but obvious he didn't feel the same way." Twilight said looking at the ground.
"Why would you think that?" Shining asked.
"Because I saw him kissing another mare." Twilight said starting to cry again. Shining looked at Twilight. Seeing her cry made him really mad. This is the reason he was so nervous when they started dating.
"Don't worry i'm going to make sure he gets what he deserves." Shining said. Twilight pulled away and looked at him seriously.
"Shiny I don't want you to get in this." Twilight said.
"But Twily-"
"No, I can deal with it myself. I don't want you to treat Flash any differently, ok? I can handle myself. Promise me that you will not do anything." Twilight said.
Shining sighed and nodded. "Alright I promise." Shining said. "Do you want anything?"
"I just want to be alone." Twilight said. Shining walked out and Twilight immediately closed the door. She lyed on her bed looking at the ceiling, she was too depressed to even read. She just stayed there until she fell asleep.
Flash was walking around the garden back and forth. Twilight broke up with him. He felt horrible. He saw Cadence and walked towards her.
"Cadence, have you seen Twilight?" Flash asked.
"Yea, I saw her run off in the castle. Do you know why?" Cadence asked.
"Something happened and Twilight and I sort of broke-up. I'm trying to find her and explain what really happened." Flash said.
"What did happen that you two broke-up? You two seemed perfect for each other." Cadence said.
"This is what happened."
Flashback
Flash was walking to his post when SnowSky walked up to him.
"What do you want? I told you to leave me alone.Besides I can't talk right now, your going to get me fired." Flash said.
"Please your dating a princess, they wouldn't dare fire you." Snow said.
"Exactly, i'm dating someone so can you leave." Flash said starting to get annoyed."I thought I make it clear that I don't want to see you again."
"I know you don't mean that. Come on, i'm back you don't have to keep dating that...thing." Snow tarted getting closer to Flash.
"I don't have time for this and dare call Twilight a thing. I love her and you have to get that through your head." Flash said.
"You can't deny that you didn't miss me." Snow said before she leaned in and kissed Flash. Flash pulled away when he herd Twilight say his name. He turned around and saw Twilight who looked as if she were about to cry.
End of Flashback
"That's horrible." Cadence said.
"I know, that's why i'm looking for Twilight to tell her what really happened." Flash said. "She's probably really mad at me." Flash said.
"I'm sure she would understand after you tell her what really happened." Cadence said. "But if I were you, I would wait a little so that Twilight has a chance to calm down. That way when you talk to her she will be more relaxed."
"I guess your right." Flash said.
"Alright well, why don't you give her a few days. Maybe talk to her after then." Cadence suggested. Flash nodded and Cadence walked to Twilight's room. She obviously needed to be cheared up.
Twilight was woken up by a knock on the door. She got up out of bed hopping it wasn't Shinning Armour again. When she opened it and saw Cadence standing there.
"Hay Cadence, what are you doing here?" Twilight asked. Her voice sounded dull and plain. She was obviously not taking it well.
"I sort of herd what happened."Cadence said. Twilight looked as if she were going to cry again but held it back. "So I thought that maybe we should do something. You know, to get your mind off things. What do you say?"
Twilight finally gave a smile. It wasn't big, but at least it was a smile."Your not taking no for an answer, are you?" Twilight said.
"Nope. So come on." Cadence said pulling Twilight out of the door. Cadence decided to take Twilight to get some ice cream. When they got to the ice cream shop Twilight immediately froze. "What's wrong Twilight?" Cadence asked.
"It's her." Twilight said. Cadence still looked confused. Twilight noticed this and explained. "That's SnowSky. " Twilight said.
Cadence looked over where Twilight was looking and noticed a mare walking up to them.
"Hello princess. I just wanted to tell you that I feel sorry about Flash breaking up with you." Snow said. Twilight held back from yelling.
"I broke up with Flash. And that is non of your concern." Twilight said.
"Right. It would be terrible for ponies to know that the princess got cheated on." Snow said. "I guess the same old things get boring." Snow said.
Twilight got really mad now. She couldn't take it no more. "That's it." Twilight said before she tackled SnowSky to the ground.
Twilight leaped on to SnowSky throughing her to the ground. Snow tried to through her off but failed. Cadence decided to step in. She pushed Twilight off Snow and Twilight fell on the ground.
"Twilight stop it!" Cadence yelled.
Twilight ignored her and tried to hit Snow who dodged it. "Yea, listen to her Twilight. You wont want ponies to know that you, the princess, lost to me." Snow said. Twilight started to get even more mad. She through Snow to the pond that was next to them. Snow grabbed one of Twilight's hoof and through her in with her.
"As if I would ever loose to an idiot like you!" Twilight yelled. She levitated an ice cream cone from the shop and through it so that it landed on Snow's head.
"Real mature." Snow said. throughing it back at Twilight.
"Look who's talking!" Twilight yelled.
Twilight lunged at snow putting her head underwater. Snow managed to slip away and started to kick Twilight. Cadence was trying to tell Twilight to stop the fight but she was obviously ignoring her.
Cadence noticed that ponies were starting to watch and more were coming. She had to find a way to stop the fight.Cadence levitated Twilight and Snow to the ground and put them down. She wondered why she didn't just do that from the start. They both immediately tried to reach each other but Cadence stood in between them.
"Stop it! Both of you! This isn't how to handle it. Snow, you better stop before I do something that I might regret and Twilight, your a princess you shouldn't be acting like this." Cadence said. Twilight took a step back not taking her eye off Snow.
"This isn't over." Twilight said walking away.
"Who said it was." Snow said walking in the opposite direction.
Cadence caught up to Twilight and started walking next to her. "This isn't over?" Cadence asked.
"It isn't. She's going to be sorry for messing with me." Twilight said walking a little faster.
"Twilight if you do something to get even it's only going to make her want to hurt you even more. Don't do this." Cadence said. Twilight ignored her and kept walking. She was way too mad to be hearing this. She walked into the Palace and went to her room. She decided to get cleaned up and start packing. This vacation was not what she thought it would be and she just wanted to leave.
Cadence walked in Shining Armour's office. "Hay, can I talk to you?" Cadence asked. Shining Armour looked up from his stacks of paper and looked at Cadence. She had a somewhat concerned face.
"What's wrong?" Shining asked with a hint of worry.
"It's about Twilight." Cadence said.
"Is she still not taking her break-up with Flash alright? I don't care what she said, I'm going to make Flash sorry he ever hurt my little sister." Shining said getting madder with every word he said.
"First of all what happened with Flash and Twilight was a misunderstanding. And second that's not why I'm here." Cadence said. Shining looked at her with concern. "Your sister got into a fight with a mare."
"My sister wouldn't do that Cadence." Shining Armour said.
"Maybe she would if it was the mare that kissed Flash." Cadence said. Shining stood up and walked over to her.
"Please tell me that lots of ponies weren't looking." Shining Armour said a little hopeful.
"If I do then will it make you feel better?" Cadence asked playfully, but by the look on Shining's face she could tell he wasn't in the mood for jokes. "Alright, some ponies did see the fight and more started coming after." Cadence said.
"That's not good. There is no way that this is going to stay quite. The news will be out before we know it." Shining said. "I'm going to go talk to my sister." Shining Armour walked out of the room before Cadence could stop him.
He walked down several halls until he reached the hall that had the guest rooms. He knocked on the room Twilight was staying in but there was no answer.
"Twily? Are you in there sis?" Shining asked. But again, there was no answer. Shining decided to open the door anyway and saw Twilight on the balcony looking at the sky. "Twily, can I talk to you?"
Twilight gave a small sigh but didn't turn around to see her brother. "Cadence told you already. Didn't she?" Twilight said.
"I just don't understand. Why would you wast your time getting into a fight. You've never gotten into a fight before, other than when your trying to save ponies, but that's it." Shining said.
"I got mad, ok? She just got me really mad and I lost it. But I don't regret it." Twilight said.
"Twilight look at me." Shining said. Twilight felt a chill go down her spine. Her brother only called her Twilight when he was mad or serious about something. She decided to not push him and just did as he told. "Just because your mad at someone doesn't mean that you should hit them. Especially now since your royalty. Ponies are going to try and follow in your foot steps and you want to make sure that they don't follow a wrong step you might make." Shining said.
"Then how come you wanted to hurt Flash when you found out. You were ready to beat him up. Aren't you royalty too?" Twilight asked. Shining gave Twilight a glare making her regret what she said. "Sorry."
"the difference is I didn't fight him. You did get into a fight." Shining said.
"Alright, I got in a fight and it was wrong. I get it. Can you just leave me alone so I can finish packing my things. My train gets here early tomorrow." Twilight said.
"Your leaving?" Shining asked.
"Do you really expect me to stay after everything that's happened?" Twilight asked.
"I guess not. Have a safe trip." Shining said before he walked out of the room. Twilight started packing her stuff again until a scroll appeared out of nowhere. She opened it and started reading it.
Dear Twilight,
We found out that you had a new colt-friend. Why didn't you tell us? Pinkie Pie wants to celebrate and through you guys a party. We can't wait to meet him. Is he cute? Is he athletic? Brave? We need all the details! Be sure to wright back soon. And make sure and tell us when your coming back.

"How did they find out?" Twilight said to herself. Twilight wanted to tell them that she broke-up with him but she thought it would be better to tell them what happened in person. She rolled up the letter and through it in the trash next to her desk. She was about to call it a night when she herd a knock on the door. 'why can't ponies just leave me alone?' Twilight thought annoyed.
When she opened the door she saw the last pony she wanted to see. Flash.
Twilight just looked at Flash. She wanted to yell at him, hit him, tell him how much he made her suffer but she couldn't. All she couldn't, all she could do was look at him like an idiot.
"Twilight, please say something." Flash said. Twilight composed herself and looked at Flash.
"I have nothing to say to you." Twilight said with a hint of anger. "You should be happy i'm out of your life now-"
"I don't want you out of my life." Flash said taking Twilight by surprise. "I have been miserable without you. What you saw was a misunderstanding. There is nothing going on between me and SnowSky. Your the only mare I like." Flash said. "I...I love you Twilight."
Twilight let the words sink in. If she was confused before then this just topped it. "I...I, I just can't do this anymore Flash." Twilight said before she closed the door. She let herself fall on the floor tilting her head against the door. She let a tear fall down her cheek. She didn't know what to do anymore.
She got up and walked to her bed. She wasn't going to able to sleep tonight. She laid in her bed thinking about what Flash said. She couldn't stop thinking about him. She decided to let her go and try to sleep at least a little.
Twilight woke up early the next day. She couldn't sleep last night. She only got about five hours of sleep. She got all her bags and headed for the train station. She really missed her friends. At least there she would have some peace. When she got there she waited for the train. It seemed like forever. Finally, when it came she quickly got on only looking briefly behind before she got in.
The entire train ride home Twilight couldn't help but miss Flash. She wanted to forgive him but she didn't want to take the risk and let it happen again. When she arrived at Ponyville she got off and looked around. She really missed home. She was walking to the library when she herd someone yell her name. She turned around and saw Pinkie Pie running towards her. She didn't have any time to react because she was soon wrapped in a tight hug.
"Pinkie...can't...breath." Twilight said. Pinkie let go making Twilight fall.
"Sorry, i'm just really happy your here! We missed you sooo much." Pinkie said.
"I missed you girls too." Twilight said getting up from the ground.
"Aww, thanks. Wait, weren't you supposed to stay a little longer? Why are you here early?" Pinkie Pie asked. "Wait. I know why! You missed us so much and couldn't stand being apart from us." Pinkie said.
"Yup, yea. That's why I came back. Because I missed you all. No other reason at all." Twilight said going along with it. She felt bad about lying but she was too sad to talk about what happened right now.
"I knew it!" Pinkie yelled. "But you should have told us before you came. Now i'm going to have to throw you a party as soon as possible. I have a lot of work to do." Pinkie said before running of somewhere.
Twilight just smiled and rolled her eyes at Pinkie being Pinkie. She walked to the library and saw Spike reading a magazine on the floor.
"Hay Spike." Twilight said to the baby dragon. Spike looked up from his book and looked at Twilight. He quickly ran over to her and gave her a hug.
"Twilight your home." Spike said. "I missed you so much. But, don't take this the wrong way, why are you home so early?"
"Well, let's just say that there were a few problems." Twilight said.
"Problems? What kind of problems?" Spike asked.
"Just problems Spike. Can we just leave it there? I don't want to talk about it. These days have been a little ruff." Twilight said. Spike new Twilight really didn't want to talk about it so he let it go.
"Alright. While your here, why don't we go out to eat. You can tell me all about your new coltfriend." Spike said. Twilight stiffened when she herd that.
"Can we not talk about him either? I don't want to talk about my trip. Please." Twilight said.
"What's wrong Twilight? Why don't you want to talk about your trip?" Spike asked.
"I just don't Spike. The trip is he reason I came back, ok? I just want a break after all that's happened." Twilight said. Spike nodded. "Alright then, let's go eat." Twilight said. Spike followed Twilight out the door to a restaurant down the road. Twilight ordered a daisy sandwich and Spike just ordered some fries.
They were eating in silence until all her friends came in. They walked over to Twilight and sat down around her.
"Why didn't you tell us you were back sugercube?" Applejack asked.
"I just got here. I was going to tell all of you. But how did you know I was back?" Twilight asked.
"Pinkie Pie told us. She also told us that your party was in four hours." Rainbow said. "But enough about us. Tell us about your trip."
"Yea, and about the fight you got into." Pinkie aid.
"What?" Everyone said looking at Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie took out a magazine out of nowhere and put in on the table. Twilight took the magazine and started reading out loud.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle gets into a fight with mare. Who is this mare and what grudge is there between them? We'll make sure to give you the news as soon as possible." Twilight stopped reading and looked further and saw pictures of the fight and Cadence having to slit the fight.
"This isn't good." Twilight said putting the magazine down. Her friends looked at her waiting for an explanation.
"Is this what you didn't want to talk about?" Spike asked.
Twilight sighed and decided to come clean. She told her friends about Flash and SnowSky and the break up and the fight and everything else. Her friends looked at her feeling a little sorry for her.
"I can see why you didn't want to talk about it." Rarity said.
"Yea, I'm just scared of what princess Celestia will say." Twilight said.
"Hay, calm down. Maybe she doesn't know." Spike said. All of a sudden a scroll appeared and landed on the table. Twilight opened it and read it.
"What does it say?" Fluttershy asked.
"Princess Celestia wants to talk to me." Twilight said. "I'm dead." Twilight said putting her head on the table.
Twilight picked her head up and looked at Rainbow with an annoyed face. "How could you even say that? Now that i'm a princess i'm supposed to give a good example not fight with a mare and through her in a pond. What kind of an example is that?" Twilight said.
"You had a, sort of, good reason." Rainbow said trying to make it better but failing.
"No I didn't. I got in a fight because of something stupid she said. I should have just walked away. If I had done that then maybe I wouldn't be in this mess." Twilight said.
"Applejack put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder. "It's ok sugercube. Everypony makes mistakes. You don't have to beat yourself up because of it." Applejack said.
"I guess your right. It's just that this week has been very stressful. And now I have to deal with this problem. As if I didn't have enough problems already." Twilight said as she stood up. "I better go. I rather get this over with."
"How are you going to get there?" Applejack asked.
"I'm just going to teleport." Twilight said. "I'll see you all later." Twilight's horn started glowing and in a second later she was gone.
Twilight was walked into the throne room and saw a, not too happy, Princess Celestia and Luna. "Hi Princess." Twilight said a little nervous.
"I think you know why I called you here Twilight." Celestia said stepping down from her throne.
Twilight sighed and answered. "Yes, I know." Twilight said. Celestia gave Twilight the news article from the magazine she was reading earlier.
"I am very disappointed in you Twilight. This is no way for a princess to act." Celestia said. Twilight's ears flattened and felt really bad. Luna stepped down and walked in front of Twilight.
"Is there a reason that you got into the fight with the mare?" Luna asked.
"Yes, but it's not a very good reason." Twilight said.
"And what reason may that be?" Luna asked.
"She started saying awful things about me. And she's the reason that me and Flash-"
"He was...my coltfriend."Twilight said. "I forgot to tell you. We broke up. Something happened and I don't think he can fix it." Twilight said.
"And this mare had something to do with this?" Celestia asked.
"Yes, she did. I saw Flash kissing her. It really hurt. He tried to talk to me about it a day later. He said that what I saw wasn't what it seemed. He said he loved me and that he didn't feel anything for SnowSky. After that I closed the door. It was too much for me to take in." Twilight said.
Celestia felt a little bad for Twilight. She had obviously been through a lot. "I see. Well, that isn't any reason to fight this mare. Your better than that." Celestia said. "I will let this go but if it happens again then I'm going to give you a guard to make sure it doesn't happen again. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I do. And I promise that it will not happen again." Twilight said.
"Good. With that said, have you and Flash talked since then?" Celestia asked.
"No. That was the last time we talked to each other." Twilight said.
"Well, maybe it's time for you to hear his side. Everypony deserves the chance to explain themselves" Celestia said.
"What is there to explain? I saw what happened with my own eyes. There is nothing to explain. I know exactly what happened." Twilight said.
"Remember my dear Twilight, not everything is always as it seems. Maybe there is more to the story that you don't know. Maybe what you saw wasn't what it seemed. You could say that you know what happened, but how do you know it's true. You won't find out without listening to the other side too." Celestia said. Twilight looked at her knowing that it was true.
"I guess your right. I have been avoiding him and rejecting him. I never gave him the chance to talk." Twilight said. "I'll talk to him the next time I see him."
"That's good. Then you can tell me how it turned out. Well, I don't want to keep you here to long so now that everything is said, you can go but, please don't let me hear that you got into another fight with a mare because of a stallion." Celestia said.
"Don't worry. That's not going to happen again. i hope." Twilight said hoping she didn't hear the last part.
"Alright." Celestia said.
Twilight said goodbye to Luna and walked out of the throne room. She focused her magic and teleported herself back to where she started. She started walking out the door thinking to herself. 'Maybe the princess is right. Maybe I wasn't what it seemed. Maybe Flash has a good explanation for what happened. But maybe I could wait a little longer before I talk to him about what happened. Besides what are the chances that I'll bump into him soon.' Twilight thought to herself. She kept walking towards her library until she saw it in sight. She stoped dead in her trackes when she saw a familier pony with a blue mane and a yellowish coat. 'This stallion will just not give up.' Twilight thought to herself.
Twilight Sparkle was looking at Flash with big eyes. She actually missed seeing him. She walked over to him and the moment he saw her he smiled and walked closer to her. When they were face to face they spoke.
"I need to talk to you." They said at the same time.
"I'm so sorry about what you saw Twilight. But I promise that there is more to it." Flash said.
"No i'm sorry Flash, I should have listened to you and not just avoid you. It wasn't right of me and I want to apologize. Everypony deserves the chance to explain themselves." Twilight said.
"You don't have to apologize Twilight. You didn't know, it wasn't your fault." Flash said. "And I just really just want to tell you what really happened."
"Okay, but maybe we should go inside to talk about this." Twilight said. Flash nodded and followed Twilight inside. When they were inside Spike came downstairs and looked at Twilight and then at Flash.
"Who's your friend Twilight?" Spike asked.
"Umm, Spike. This is...Flash." Twilight said. She noticed Spike's face going from curious to mad. "Spike can you go out for a few minutes? Me and Flash have to talk." Twilight said.
"Are you sure Twi? Maybe I can stay here and-"
"No Spike. We just have to be alone." Twilight said cutting Spike off. Spike glanced at Flash and nodded before he walked out the door. Twilight turned back over to Flash and looked at him.
"Alright well, we're alone. You can tell me what really happened and I promise that I won't do anything or cut you off. I'll listen and pay attention." Twilight said.
"Okay well, Snow came to see me at my post. She started trying to convince me to break up with you and go out with her. I kept telling her I wouldn't do it but she wouldn't give up. When she saw you coming she kissed me. She probably thought that you would break up with me instead and it worked." Flash said. He moved closer to Twilight and looked right in her eyes. "I never stoped loving you. You're the only one I want." Flash said.
"Flash I-mmhh" Twilight couldn't say anymore because Flash kissed her on the lips. It was more passionate than any kiss they ever shared. Flash put his hoofs around Twilight's waist and Twilight wrapped her hooves around his neck. They suddenly heard the door open and pulled away. When Twilight turned around she saw her friends standing at the door with wide eyes.
"W-what are you g-girls doing here?" Twilight asked nervously.
"Spike told us you were back and we wanted to know how it went. Umm...did we interrupted something?" Rainbow asked.
"Of course we did Dashie, didn't you see them kissing when they came in? That's an obvious question." Pinkie Pie said. Flash and Twilight looked away with their cheeks turning red.
"So, who's he?" Rainbow asked.
Twilight turned to Flash who got the message. "I think i'll leave you to talk to your friends." Flash said as he walked out. When he closed the door Twilight's friends looked at Twilight with smiles.
"What?" Twilight asked.
"Nothing Darling we're just happy that finally found somepony that takes your mind of Flash." Rarity said.
"Yea, that stallion there looks like a nice fella." Applejack said.
"Actually, that was Flash." Twilight said.
"That was him? The one that kissed another mare? What were you doing kissing him? Not long ago you were saying how he broke your heart." Rainbow said.
"Are you back together?" Asked Fluttershy.
"Yes we are back together. It turns out it was all a misunderstanding. We forgave each other." Twilight said.
"Are you sure its a good idea Twi?" Applejack asked.
"Calm down. Yes, I am sure. Just give him a chance, he's really great." Twilight said. "Can you do that? For me?"
"Of course we can, but if he ever hurts you again you just tell us and we'll set him straight." Rarity said.
"I'll make sure i'll do that." Twilight said with a small laugh.
"So...we're guessing you want to spend the rest of the day with him." Rarity said.
"Yea, I really want to catch up with him. You girls don't mind right?" Twilight asked.
"Of course not darling, we are not going to stop you from spending time with your coltfriend. You go right on ahead." Rarity said.
"Thanks, i'll see you later." Twilight said as she walked out the door to catch up with Flash. He wasn't to far so she didn't need to really run. "Wait up Flash." Twilight said starting to trot next to him.
"I thought you were talking with your friends." Flash said.
"I was but I decided to come spend time with you. So what do you want to do?" Twilight asked.
"How about you show me around town. I don't really know anything about it and it looks like a nice town." Flash said.
"Then we better start now." Twilight said while she gave Flash a slight nuzzle. They began to walk side by side with big smiles on their faces. They were both happy that they were back together, life wasn't the same without each other.But now that they were together, everything was better now.
Twilight walked side by side with Flash showing him every part of Ponyville she could. They played around and shared jokes as they walked around Ponyville. They finally ended in a lake a little outside of Ponyville.
"So how did you end up living in Ponyville?" Flash asked.
"I came to just check on the preparations for the summersun celebration. But then I found out about NightMare Moon and I turned into a complicated thing. Long story short me and my friends found out that we represent the elements of harmony and defeted NightMare Moon with the elements. When we got back to Ponyville I realized I couldn't leave my friends so princess Celestia let me stay and live in Ponyville." Twilight said.
"That's nice. It's really peaceful and quit here." Flash said.
"Yeah. Well, at least when it's not being attacked by enemies and weird creatures." Twilight said.
"How often does that happen?" Flash asked.
"More than it should." Twilight said with a small laugh. "Though it has made me stronger."
"Really?" Flash said.
"Yes. I could even beat you." Twilight said.
"Is that a challenge?" asked Flash as he pinned Twilight to the ground. Twilight teleported out of his grasp and she was the one pinning him now.
"Maybe it is." She said.
"No fair, I don't have magic." He said as Twilight let him up.
"No but you do have wings." Twilight said.
"What does that have to do with anything?" asked Flash.
"That if you want to beat me you'll have to catch me first." Twilight said before she flew away.
Flash smiled before he took off after his mare-friend. He was a more experienced flyer so it didn't take long for him to catch up to her. He flew in front of her and caught her.
"Who's not being fair now?" asked Twilight as Flash still held her in his hooves.
Flash flew down with Twilight in his hooves confusing Twilight.
"Flash what are you-wait...no nononono. Flash don't you dare-"
Flash didn't listen and dropped her down in the lake. Twilight poked her head out of the water and looked at Flash. She teleported Flash out of the sky and he appeared in the lake.
"Ha ha." Twilight teased.
Flash splashed Twilight with water.
"Hay." Twilight said splashing him back.
It didn't take long for it to turn into a full out water fight. They played around just splashing each other for half an hour. Finally the got out and they were both wet from head to hoof.
"We better head back and get cleaned up." Twilight said. "You can stay with me for the night."
"Thanks." Flash said.
They both began walking back together side by side. Both with smiles on their faces just being next to each other. When they got to the library Twilight took a bath first then Flash.
"I have an extra bed you can sleep in. " Twilight said.
"Thank you." Flash said walking towards Twilight. He wrapped a wing around her and kissed the tip of nose making her blush. "I don't know what i'd do without you."
Twilight gave him a small peak on the lip and smiled. "Neither do I." Twilight said.
They were about to kiss when the library door opened and Spike walked in. Their face turned red and they pulled apart.
"Geez, can't you two ever keep your hooves to yourself." Said Spike. By the sound in his voice, I was obvious that he still wasn't too happy about Flash being there.
"Maybe we should go to bed." Flash said.
"Good idea." Twilight said.
Flash made his way upstairs and Twilight turned to Spike.
"Spike, give Flash a chance." Twilight said. "He's a nice pony."
"Yeah, he's so nice that he hurt you and broke your heart." Spike said. "I'm not to sure about him."
"It's bad enough with Shining Armour. Please just give him a chance. He might surprise you." Twilight said.
"...fine. But just for you. I'll give him a chance." Spike said.
"Thank you." Twilight said giving him a hug.
Spike and Twilight made their way upstairs where Flash was already in bed. Spike went to his bed and fell asleep fast. Twilight made her way to her bed and laid down not being able to fall asleep after a few minutes of just laying there.
She looked over at Flash on the other side of the room. She thought about whether or not she should go over to him. She finally made up her mind and climbed out of bed. She made her way to the other bed and climbed in.
"Twilight?" asked Flash a little confused.
"I...I couldn't sleep." Twilight said.
Flash smiled and looked at her. "Neither could I." Flash said.
Twilight climbed in next to him. He put a wing around her and she buried her head in his chest. She felt warm just being there laying next to him. She smiled as he planted a small and gentle kiss on her forehead making her stomach feel weird. He looked at her straight in the eyes and smiled at her.
"I love you." Flash said.
With those three words Twilight felt like tearing up. She wasn't confused anymore. She loved him and only him. The thought of losing him made her heart break. She looked at him and responded.
"I...I love you too." Twilight said with a soft smile on her face.
It didn't take long until they both drifted off to sleep happily in each others embrace.
