> Inkie and Blinkie of the Secret Sister Society > by TheOtherSideOfFluttershy > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue: Decommissioned > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia was sure to see that everypony that had ever heard of the society was brainwashed into believing it was part of a Nightmare Moon attack. She was sure that every subject was asked twenty questions all about that day, and she had each guard record it, look over it five times, then either add more of the chemicals to the pony or release them. She was sure that their brain processing state was at drunk level, and therefore unable to understand what was happening until it was too late. But she was not too sure to make sure each and every diary she had suggested keeping or any letter home was burned. And it was there that she was sure her mistake had happened. The whole group was a mistake. She had meant to have the group protect ponies and only severely injure, but never kill others. Celestia had built the society with Luna, hoping it would straighten out her sister's odd mood swings and mumbles. Celestia hoped that this society would help bring peace to the land. She started out simply with a sketch of an underground laboratory. The lab would also serve as a training school. The building would be sustained through unicorn magic from a powerful unicorn. There would be test labs, houses, classrooms, offices, and more to suit the needs of a growing teenager or tween. Celestia asked her sister to help come up with a plan for how the houses would be designed. Would they all be identical? Perhaps they would be prebuilt? Would the ponies have to share houses with other strangers? Luna suggested the student designing the house, then some unicorns creating it. Pleased with the idea, Celestia noted that down. Their planning went on like this. They would choice a place, come up with questions, and decide on an answer. This sometimes could mean a compromise in the design. A fountain could be placed in the middle of the "village" and shot water high and tall. But Luna wanted to remind the students their goal. In the end, a statue with water surrounding it was the compromise. The plan for the society was going well. Celestia knew her sister well enough that Luna would not like to be classing ponies. She left her sister to the job of designing the observatory, a job well meant for the Princess of the Night. Celestia wanted the ponies to have a fair way of learning. They would all begin in Dawn class. The class would consist of grade levels up into high school. When ponies reached high school, each would take a test. If you failed, your memory of the school would be erased, replaced, diaries burned, and you would be sent home to live a regular life. Based on your test, you would be ranked. Celestia went with four classes and the regular grading system. Since the test would be over everything they had learned, you would earn a A, B, C, or D. F means you failed. First class would be for the A students, Second class for the B students, Third class for the C students, and Fourth class for the D students. Each class had a test every month. Your score on that test may or may not affect your class. The higher the class, the harder the test. Each class was designed to make you better and to advance forward in the class. After four years of this, you would be sent to the Dusk class, which also consisted of the same classes, but with categories to choose from. Finally, all the preparations were done. The princesses were ready to begin creating this school. Choosing a remote area near future Ponyville, the princesses began casting spell after spell. Each spell was a spell of Starswirl's. Often, though not noticeable to the ponies of Equestria, the sun or moon came out late and was brought down early, leaving a period of darkness everypony assumed was night. The project slowly went on, and the sisters worked hard each day. It was a while before the main structure was complete, the structure that would contain everything. It was all underground, of course, as they had planned. There were some complications, but everything got worked out. Wanting to break from the tiring spell casting, Celestia called a day for just exploring their creation. Luna agreed to this, and the two spent the day together, bonding. "You did this section, sister?" Celestia asked when the arrived at the Observatory section. The ceiling was formed into an octagon, and beams shot out to the middle from each corner. Beams lined the edges, each one carefully engraved beautifully. It was plain, yes, but the most fantastic part of the main structure. "Yes. Why? Do you think I should change it?" Celestia smiled at her sister. "No, keep it. You did well on this section. I cannot wait to see what you have plan!" The sisters continued along the tour of the school, commenting about each room. By the end of the day, Celestia and Luna felt ready to finish the inside. The design itself would take three years to complete. Every room had to be specifically designed, painted, and inspected for stabilization. The village setting alone took a year. The sisters thought that the statue should be hand crafted. Therefore, they hired a pony to create a statue of their best friend. That took three months, but the princesses loved the statue. It was an earth pony looking back as facing forward. Their eye had a spark in it. The front left foot was raised. The pony was also wearing a scarf. On the scarf was written the names of past ponies who fought to during Discord's reign. The statue was to resemble to remember the past, but also head to the future. If you remember your past mistake, you will not make it again. The scarf resembled the time of harshness, and the brave ponies who stood up. The school wanted ponies like that. They wanted ponies who would protect their people silently, and who would spy on the enemy. Celestia created the water container, and Luna went on a quest to get the special Sky Water of Eternity. The water lasted forever, and always reflected the moon or sun. The quest lasted four months, and the water container (having been remade several times) lasted eight months. This was the final year, and as the two princesses set down the statue of the pony in the Sky Water of Eternity, they smiled, for the hardest part was done. The second to last part was the teachers. Every class would need ten teachers, not including the Dusk class and Dawn class. In all, over one hundred teachers were estimated in need. After little success, Luna suggested lowering it down to at least five teachers. Celestia tried pushing for ten, but in the end, they had at least five for each class. The teachers were trained to be very strong in every category, without lacking anything. It was important for the students to be well taught in order to advance. The top teachers were placed in First class. These teachers were the personal students of Celestia and Luna, and were all unicorns capable of performing spells as complicated as the ones performed to create the school. The last step was enrolling students. Celestia choose students who were smart, and willing to learn to battle. She did this simply with more spells that no one knows of. The spell she performed remains unknown, but she was able to find the correct students. Luna sought out these future students, leading them to the school their dreams and visions. The last student was Blossom Tree, a strong unicorn. She was greeted by tons more students, all ready to be apart of this society. All students were also mares. The school began one year before Nightmare Moon. After her return, the school was disbanded. But it wasn't because of Nightmare Moon. It was a disaster that no one was to remember.
