Many of the audience members were chanting their names in unison. After about a moment the entire the stadium was chanting their names. A smile of happiness was on the face of the exhausted Scootaloo as she stood close to a worn out Lightning Twister who was also smiling. The two held each others hooves as they waved to the crowd. "Let's hear it, one more time, for the awesome team of, Lightning Twister and Scootaloo!" an announcer shouted into a microphone. The crowd cheered as loud as they could as Lightning and Scootaloo thanked the crowd one more before going backstage. Once they were out of site of the audience, Scootaloo happily nuzzled Lightning for a moment as Lightning did the same. It's been ten long years since Lightning Twister was found by Fluttershy and he had come into the lives of his friends and family. The now sixteen year old stallion now had fully grown wings and had a much longer green mane and tail. While he still lives with Fluttershy he is much more independent. He no longer has a fear of storms and is much less shy than he was ten years ago but he still loves and cares for his mother deeply. He smiled happily as he looked into the eyes of his beautiful marefriend. Scootaloo was now seventeen and she also has fully developed wings and a longer mane and tail that match the style of her big sister Rainbow Dash. She and Lightning had quickly become the top flyers in both Ponyville and Cloudsdale when they each had won the best young flyers competition. Even after ten years she was almost the same Scootaloo that everypony knew and loved. However she had a much softer side to her but that's never bothered her. Lightning and Scootaloo looked around and saw that there was nopony around at the moment. The two tried to take advantage of the moment of privacy and tried to kiss. However before they're lips could meet they heard the voice of Rainbow Dash coming they're way. "There you two are!" she said happily as she approached them. "Nice job you two, another great performance I've never heard a crowd get that excited for an opening act." Lightning and Scootaloo both blushed. Ever Since they had each won the best young flyers competition. They had become an incredible flying team. They would go around to nearby towns and do small performances for other ponies. Eventually they're crowds became larger and larger. Rainbow Dash, who had finally became one of the Wonderbolts, had seen them perform in one of the towns and had suggested to her team that they be the opening act on their latest tour. Naturally, Lightning and Scootaloo were both excited when they found out that the team said yes. "Thanks, Auntie Rainbow!" Lightning said in his usual soft tone of voice that he still had, "Well we have about twenty minutes before we go on. Do you guys wanna hang out with us?" Rainbow asked Scootaloo shook her head and said, "Sorry, Rainbow, but there is something Lightning and I wanna do, before we leave for Canterlot tomorrow." Rainbow nodded her head in understanding. "Alright, we'll see you guys back at the hotel, just don't be out all night." Rainbow said in a soft yet stern tone that was directed to Scootaloo. Rainbow always let Scootaloo have her freedom, but she was still the young mares guardian and older sister. Scootaloo giggled and said, "Don't worry, we'll be back later." Rainbow smiled at the two and flew off to get ready for the show. When she was out of sight, Scootaloo's smile immediately turned to sadness, as she thought about what she and Lightning were going to do. Lightning saw the sadness in his marefriend's eyes and became concerned. "Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked with concern in his voice as he held her hoof. Scootaloo simply nodded her head. "They deserve to know about us, Lightning." she said softly with a hint of sadness. Lightning nodded his head and said, "Alright, let's get going before it get's dark." Scootaloo nodded once again and the two took off without another word to the ground below. After about fifteen minutes of flying they arrived at lone hill far away from town. As they flew, Lightning saw something on the ground and flew down to get it as Scootaloo watched him. When he came back, he had a single rose in his mouth. He gave the rose to Scootaloo and she held it close to her as they flew to the top of the hill. The two eventually arrived at their destination and land in front of the grave of Scootaloo's parents. Scootaloo took the rose and put on the ground in front of the tombstone. She stepped away from the grave and Lightning held her hoof as she began to speak. "Hi Mom, Hi Dad, I'm sorry it's been so long since I've seen you. I'm doing really well, I'm one of the best flyers in Ponyville and I'm even opening for Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts. But that's not the only thing I wanted to tell you guys." Scootaloo stepped a little closer to Lightning as he began to gently stroke her back with his hoof. "Mom, Dad, this is my special somepony, Lightning Twister. He's Fluttershy's adopted son. She found him in the Everfree Forest after he ran away from his Father. We met when we were going to school together with Appleboom and Sweetie Belle. He's a very sweet colt and I'm happy that he's my special somepony." Scootaloo Nuzzled Lightning for a moment with a smile on her face as Lightning did the same. Looking back at the grave, Scootaloo felt tears brim in her eyes as gently nudge the rose closer to the grave. "I know it's been ten years, Mom and Dad but I still wish you were still with me now." She said as she let her tears flow freely. "I love Rainbow Dash and I'm happy living with her, but I wish you both would would be with me. I wish you both were with me and Rainbow and I wish you could actually get to know Lightning and we could all be a family." she said as Lightning held her close to comfort her. "I miss you both so much, but I know you both would want me to move on and be happy. So I will, I'll be happy and I will make you both proud of me." She said before stepping away. Lightning now stepped forward and began speaking to the grave. "Hi there, I know you both don't know me but I want you both to know that I care deeply about Scootaloo and I would do anything to make her happy. I know how it feels to lose a loved one. I lost my real mother when she gave birth to me." Lightning fell silent as he began to think about his real mother. "I wonder if she's worried about me." he said to the grave as tears began to fall from his eyes. "I wonder if she's proud of the pony that I'm becoming." Lightning rubbed his eyes and it was now Scootaloo's turn to comfort him. "I promise you both that I will take care of Scootaloo I will be the best special somepony that I can be for her." he said as he held Scootaloo's hoof A gentle began to blow on the two ponies and the rose blew to Lightning's feet. He looked up at the sky and closed his before smiling. He could feel Scootaloo's parents comforting him, he could tell that they were welcoming him into their family. He then felt another breeze blowing on him, one that he quickly recognized. "I love you too, Momma." He said softly and happily as the wind began to cease. Lightning picked up the rose and put it back where it was placed. He and Scootaloo then left the grave and made their way to Ponyville. They eventually arrived at the park and they went to the tree that had their names carved into it. The two laid down under the tree and Scootaloo snuggled against Lightning's soft warm fur. "Thank you for coming with me today, Lightning." She said sweetly before kissing his cheek. Lightning smiled and kissed her on the forehead before speaking. "Your welcome, Scoots, and about what I said to your parents, I meant every word. I promise that no matter what happens I will always be here for you. There's no nopony else that I want to be with but you." Scootaloo felt tears sting her eyes before she closed them and kissed Lightning on the lips passionately. "Lightning," she said softly "Yes?" Lightning responded Scootaloo kissed him on the lips again and gave him a gentle and loving smile. "I love you" Lightning felt a small tear roll down his face but Scootaloo brushed it away with her hoof. The young stallion then brought her into a deep and passionate kiss that went on for what felt like hours. Scootaloo then rested her head underneath his chin and snuggled closer to him. Lightning just smiled and nuzzled his special his special somepony while he closed his eyes closed his eyes and replied softly. "I love you too, Scootaloo"
