> A Story Involving Sweetie Belle and Mega Man's Universe > by Kifstopher > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Story Itself > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It had been sixteen years since the nefarious Doctor Wily had been imprisoned. Mega Man has done his job of monitoring him in his containment very well. Doctor Wily's containment was about to come to a sudden end, due to a massive and inexplicable portal opening in his jail cell which somehow silently launched its occupant out from its bowels. Wily, clueless to where the portal came from, began to question the purpose of its existence, or why it shot a white mass out from the other side. He started towards the hole in space, only for it to shut in his face, still making no noise. He instead turned his attention towards the white object that had been launched from it Much to his surprise, the object began moving on its own, taking form slowly. He watched in horror as it made strange noises, such as bones cracking, soggy messes being moved, and strands being moved against each other. At long last, the object had successfully formed itself back into its true shape, a young white equine being, with pink and magenta hair, and a horn. He concluded from its short stature that it must be young for its species, and then proceeded towards it, hoping to make contact. The young unicorn, after literally getting herself together, had begun investigating the strange new place she was now in. She was greatly confused about her new surroundings, and soon noticed Wily making his way toward her. She screamed in terror at the strange being that walked on two legs, resembling an ape that's been horribly mutated. Wily stopped in his tracks, and then decided a different approach would be for the best, and he realized he had to do this fast, as her scream probably garnered the attention of the jail monitors. Wily instead tried being polite, and kindly offered her to come closer, giving reassurances that he was harmless. The unicorn eventually began walking toward him, only to run and hide under the nearby bed when the prison guards ran up to the cell to investigate what was going on within. Wily assured them that the screaming noise wasn't coming from his area and that the guards must have made a mistake. After convincing the guards to leave him alone, he went back to trying to coax the equine to approach him. It took some time, but eventually she came out from hiding and went towards Wily. As Wily knew from her screams, this being was able to communicate, so he tried to extract some information from her. She said her name was Sweetie Belle, and that she comes from Ponyville, and that she's confused on what caused her to be teleported into this new place. Wily took note of this information, then suddenly came up with a devious plan of action. He figured he could use her in some way to have the guards release him. He told her that he was wrongfully imprisoned, and that she should help him escape. Sweetie, having no alternative but rot in the cell with him, agreed to aid in his departure. It took some doing, but eventually Wily secured Sweetie on top of his head, covering his bald area with her, and told her to remain quiet. Wily called the guards over to his cell, and when they arrived, he states that Wily has escaped, having switched places with him in the cell. The guards bought it, and released Wily, being unable to recognize him with Sweetie Belle making a convincing wig and hideous cranial growth. Wily and Sweetie Belle had successfully left the prison, and entered the light of the city. It took Sweetie much restraint to gawk at the new, futuristic surroundings. Robots cleaned the streets, people flew about in tubes above the city, hovering vehicles flew through the air, and people used machinery to accomplish their basic tasks. Wily quickly made off to a back alley, where he had stashed a flying machine for when he had escaped prison, and upon entering, removed Sweetie from atop his cranium, then subverted her expectations when he threw her aside in favour of riding his flying machine alone, quietly dashing her hopes of having his aid in returning to her home. Wily's betrayal left Sweetie Belle alone in the dark alley, cold and afraid, with night swiftly coming. She utilized some nearby objects and made a makeshift bed out of cast aside newspapers and smelly objects retrieved from the garbage container nearby. She laid under the cold papers, thinking to herself about what she could do, and how she could do it. Being young, she couldn't utilize magic to attempt to recreate the portal that sent her there, and her unfamiliarity with the new world meant that she was unable to use its tools to get back without help, of which she had none. She eventually drifted into a stress heavy sleep, with nightmares constantly plaguing her dreams. She was awoken very early the next day, when she came face to face with what seemed to be a dog, but was made of metal. It was barking at her quite loudly, and which alerted a nearby policeman to her. She began to ask the officer a question, only to be disappointed when the officer called his dog back and walked off, thinking she was just a discarded pony robot and ignoring her cries for assistance. Feeling disheartened, she walked out onto the sidewalk. She had no idea where she could go, and due to her short stature, barely could see where she was going. She wandered about, occasionally tripping one of the tall beings around her, until finally she arrived at a bench and decided to take a break and sit down. While relaxing on the seat, she began to examine her surroundings for any indications of where she could get help. She noticed a large screen atop a building, advertising someone named Doctor Light and his research. She figured that he'd likely be her best bet when it comes to solving the mystery on how to get back, it'd be him. Using the city's commutes, as well as directions from helpful citizens, she was able to make her way to Doctor Light's laboratory. As she walked toward it, she was knocked over as the ground shook, and explosions happening in various places began appearing. Sweetie then heard a call from the lab, seeing an old man gesturing for her to come quickly inside. She got to her hooves and ran as fast as she could into the lab, trying not to fall over from the quakes occuring around her. When she came in, she was suddenly rushed into a strange chamber by the old man. She figured he was Doctor Light, and started to talk about her predicament, only for her to be cut off, as he began explaining his own situation. He said that his robot that he was to send to stop the attacker was currently disabled, having been the first thing that the terrorist had gone for in his barrage. Doctor Light then stated the form of attack that the city was under, an enormous robot, formed from a much smaller one named Guts Man, had been released upon the city by the notorious villain Doctor Wily. Sweetie Belle inquired about this Wily fellow, and when he described him to her, she suddenly realized he was the one she helped escape from prison. A massive feeling of guilt overtook her, and she began crying, knowing that the innocent people of the city now had their lives endangered because of her actions. Doctor Light asked her about what was making her cry, and when he got the answer, his immediate reaction only made her feel worse. The old man was furious to have such a criminal in his presence, but sensing her guilt, he instead began hatching a plan. He told her she could redeem herself by following his instructions, and that he could help her with whatever her problem was afterwards. Sweetie agreed, feeling that she had no other course of action. Doctor Light explained that he needed her help in eliminating the giant robot, and that he has a plan, so he had her come with him to get the necessary tools for what he had in mind. Going into a back room, he aquired a small number of gadgets, including a transmitter for her to use so he could communicate to her from afar, a strange machine that he attached to her stomach, saying it was to level out her bodily items for later, and a strange device that looked quite dangerous that he said that he would use. He led her outside, the quakes subsiding for a moment as Doctor Wily was announcing something to the city, but was inaudible at the distance they were. Doctor Light requested that Sweetie take a stance in the center of a field quite a ways away from him, as he began assembling a large object to use the strange device with. It took a bit of time, all the while Wily made his speech to the city in the distance. At long last, the machine was complete, and Doctor Light asked if Sweetie was ready. She wasn't aware of what she should be ready for, but she gave him the go-ahead to do what he was going to do. Using the big machine, Doctor Light fired a beam of light towards Sweetie, with her attempting and failing to dodge the ray's grasp. She screamed, and began to feel very odd, not unlike the strange feelings she had while reforming into a pony form when she first exited the portal. The beam had her floating in the air momentarily, keeping her still, but suddenly she felt the ground again. The strange machine around her began making noise, and then she began to feel her bones start to thicken and strengthen. She was also surprised by the sudden appearance of a bloody nose, caused by the machine making her rapidly produce blood and spreading it across her now expanding form, also taking moisture and using it to ensure her body has enough water to survive in a larger state of being. This odd feeling continued, as she looked out of the beam and noticed the ground moving away from her face at an alarming pace. She pieced together that Doctor Light's plan involved her being large enough to do battle with Wily's giant robot. She looked over toward the city, noticed its massive stature, and then began fearing how big she'd need to be to fight it. After a few minutes, in which Sweetie Belle had mostly kept her eyes shut from the bright laser's light, the beam ceased, and she took a look. She nearly screamed in terror at her new height, as she now would tower over her house back home in Ponyville. Her elevation made her a bit dizzy, and she had to keep herself steady to avoid falling over, being much heavier than usual, and the machine to strengthen her body wasn't a miracle worker. She attempted to make an estimate about her height in comparison to the lab nearby. She guessed she was something like fifteen or so meters tall, a scary height for a young filly to be, and much scarier to anyone below. She took a moment to get aquainted to being top heavy, and then sat down, carefully avoiding anything that might be under her. Doctor Light began reading instructions to her, first telling her to go to the city, obviously. Sweetie Belle did as she was told and made her way there, always looking to make sure she didn't harm anything or anyone that could be in the way. She recieved her next instruction while approaching the city limits, that is, to confront Wily and his robot. She walked through the city, finding it nearly impossible not to accidentally crush some things beneath her, until she found the giant robot, and Wily, who was flying around in his machine, rambling to the citizens. His speech was suddenly cut off, as her looked over and noticed the giant unicorn that was coming towards him an his robot, recognizing her as the one who helped him before. Wily, worried for his own safety, commanded the robot to attack Sweetie Belle, who, in turn, was instructed to fight back by Doctor Light. The robot lurched forward, and using its massive arm, smacked Sweetie square in the face, knocking her on her back. She hurried back onto her hooves, only to be met with another punch from the robot. Sweetie was catching on by now, and when she recovered, avoided the next swing, and tackled the robot, knocking it back a few street blocks. The robot then proudly displayed its chest, from which came several rockets, aimed at Sweetie. She ran to the side, hoping to dodge the barrage, and the rockets instead hit the building behind her. She took her foreleg and gave a big swipe, hitting the robot's head and throwing it off balance. it crashed through a building, but soon got back up, only it seemed to be less structually sound. The robot suddenly ran forward and tackled Sweetie, collapsing on top of her in an attempt to crush her. She felt immense pain, but push against and eventually threw the robot off, and using one last attack, crashed into the robot and began pummeling with her hooves. The robot was nearly bits when it suddenly exploded, blasting Sweetie several meters back and nearly breaking her face. She had won the battle, and saved the city, but passed out after the explosion. She awoke some time later, first taking note of the large crowd that had gathered around her. Being taller than buildings and laying down in the street garners attention, it seemed. She got up, avoiding those below as to not crush them, and made her way out of town, back to Doctor Light's laboratory. His transciever had been destroyed in the fight, but she knew where to find him. She approached the lab, and found Doctor Light standing out front, waiting for her to return. She said she had beaten the robot, but he already knew, having seen it from the distance. He also spoke of a device he had in his lab that could take her back to her home world, then ran inside to get it. When he came back with the device, he got to work setting it, taking less time than he did with the previous machine. While he worked, Sweetie Belle thought about things, and then suddenly realized something, but just as she began to ask Doctor Light, he used the device to send her back to Equestria. She successfully arrived in her home world, and had ended up in a large field, a bit away from Ponyville. She began walking home. Rarity had been busily running around Ponyville, looking for her younger sibling who had mysteriously gone missing a couple days before. She was back at her home, talking with Spike and Twilight, feeling awful and wishing her sister would come back home, and hoping she wasn't in any danger. Suddenly, there came quite a few quakes, and they began to wonder what it could be. Looking out the window, they found ponies running amuck, only for their view to be suddenly cut off by a giant white face looking back through the window at them. Rarity fainted, and Sweetie had to talk to Twilight about her size issue. Twilight said she'd look in the library for a solution. Sweetie decided to head home, and upon arriving, fell asleep next to her house. She was oblivious to the ponies in town who were busy running and screaming from the giant invader to notice. The End.
