A article in the newspaper turns a nice day into one of panic for Twilight.
Cancelled, I eventually thought it was absolutely terrible.
On what began as a nice day, quickly changed into one of panic for Twilight Sparkle. She read a article about the predicted end of the world being a week away, even though the article says that it will not happen, because of all the research, the unicorn still has her reasons to belief in the prediction.
Characters will be added as they appear.
Rated teen for swearing and well, the plot.

The six ponies and a baby dragon on one's back ran as fast as they could while a tsunami was following them through Ponyville.
"TWILIGHT! TELEPORT US!!" Applejack screamed as hard as she could.
"I'M TOO TIRED! I CAN'T!! She responded
It was raining, a tsunami was about to hit Ponyville, the ground was shaking, small comets came down from the gray sky, giving some light to the scenary, screaming ponies everywhere. It all seemed to happen in slow motion for Twilight Sparkle. It was finally the day that she feared for a week now.

Seven days earlier...........
Twilight Sparkle woke up from a wonderful sleep, she had the most fantastic dream she could ever have. When her mind processed her surroundings she was a bit dissapointed that it was just a dream. Oh well, the real world was pretty nice too......for now that is.
The unicorn stood up and gaized over to Spike sleaping in his little bed with her big violet eyes. She stood there for a while, just looking at the little baby dragon with a smile. Life was good.
Her gaize later changed from the dragon to her window.
Even though it was autumn, it was a beautiful day in Ponyville. Celestia sun warmed the village a bit, birds sang, ponies seemed happy, the skies were completely clear. Beautiful indeed.
The pony's smile got even larger. She heard her stomach beg her for something to eat and decided to go down stairs and make some breakfast.
Twilight made herself some breakfast. Eggs, toast, orange juice. Delicious.
When she set her meal down on the dinner table, she got her newspaper from the ground in front of the library and sat down on one of the dining chairs.
The pony layed the newspaper on the table and read the frontpage article.
'It is now exactly one week away from December 21 2012. It has been predicted by the Whitebeards that that one day would be our last. This is ofcourse been proven wrong by scientists years ago. There is nothing to be afraid of. It is one hunderd procent certain that that will not happen.'
Twilight gasped as she looked concerned toward the newspaper.
"I totally forgot about that! Oh well, they said that it has been proven wrong by scientists scanning space and observing everything. But the technology has been greatly improved since then! What if all those old technology was not good enough to see a potential danger?!
She panicked, sweat was dropping from her lavender body and she paced around the room in thought until Spike came down from the stairs.
"Twilight." He said while walking down the stairs rubbing in his eyes. "I heard you screaming what's wrong?" as he removed his claws from his eyes the little dragon saw Twilight pacing around the room, yelling inaudible things.
"What's going on?" he asked as he reached the first floor of the library.
Twilight still kept yelling inaudible things, Spike was not even sure she was talking to him.
"HEY!"
Twilight stopped in the middle of the room and gaized her violet eyes towarda the little dragon. Sweat was still making the library's floor wet and her face was more serious than Spike had ever seen from anypony.
"THE END IS NIGH!!!" the lavender unicorn yelled at Spike and continued her last routine.
Spike kept standing were he was and looked at the dashes of lavender across the room in confusion.
"What are you talking about?"
The inaudible yelling became even louder than before, hurting the dragon's ears and she dashed through the room even faster than first.
"SNAP OUT OF IT!!" Spike yelled while his gaize went acros the room to follow the pony with his eyes.
"Just relax and tell me what's going on Twilight." he said with a symphatatic tone.
Twilight collapsed to the floor with her back, she was hyperventilated, the sweat kept coming and her entire body was shaking.
Spike ran over to the upset unicorn, sat next to her and placed his claw on the lavender shoulder.
"Just relax." he whispered to the the terrified pony. "Just tell me what is going on when you are ready."
The little dragon kept rubbing her shoulder to comfort the unicorn for a few minutes, which seemed like hours. The breathing, sweating and shaking all got better of the time and Twilight was finally ready to tell Spike what was going on.
After a few minutes of explaining, Twilight Sparkle had told Spike what was going on.
Spike bursted into laughing and fell with his back on the hard cold floor.
"I'm serious Spike! Stop laughing!" she yelled at her assistant who couldn't breath becouse of all the laughter. The unicorn rose up and sat on her haunches, gaizing at the little dragon who was still laughing and now was rolling around the floor.
Twilight felt anger toward Spike running through her entire body and felt the urge to just punch him in the face. But, well, it was a baby dragon. She choose something else instead and stood up.
"SPIKE! I AM NOT JOKING GODDAMNIT !!!" Twilight screamed into the air as hard possibly could as she stood on two legs. The unicorn did not care about the ponies who might hear her screaming outside. The scream echoed loudily through the library.
Spike stopped laughing and rolled onto his back. "I-I'm so s-sorry Twilight." he muttered out, trying to supress the urge to burst out into laughter again.
As Twilight returned to the library's floor with her two forelegs, the door behind her swung open and followed by hoofsteps.
"Twilight, what's going on, why are you screaming?" the voice asked calmly.
The unicorn slowly turned around and find out that the voice was from her friend Rainbow Dash. Twilight was still angry, she felt like her face could just melt of the heat and the expression on her face so evil that her friend thought that the devil just found his way inside the pony's body.
Rainbow Dash just looked at her friend evil face in confusion. She was actually a bit scared of Twilight now.
"Oh, hello Rainbow." the unicorn said normally, but with still the same face as before.
"Twilight." Rainbow said. "What the hay is going on? What got you so upset?"
Spike was still laying on his back on the floor, a bit shocked by what just happened and gaized towards the two ponies.
Twilight's angry looked softened a bit and pointed her hoof towards the newspaper on the dinner table.
"The front page." She said just normally.
Rainbow Dash walked over to the dinner table and looked at the front page of the newspaper and began reading.
"You mean this?" She asked her friend next to her as she was done reading and pointed her hoof towards the article about the end of the world.
Twilight sighed. "Yes Rainbow Dash. That." She said while she was face to face with Rainbow. Twilight could easily tell that Dash was trying to hold in her laughter as well.
Twilight's face returned to it's former expression. The urge to punch the cyan pegasus in her face came, just like with Spike. But she tried not to do that.
"WHAT'S SO FUNNY?!!" The lavender unicorn yelled into her friend's face. Another scream echoed trough the library.
Rainbow Dash's visible urge to laugh dissapeared suddenly and turned into a concered look.
"Twilight." she said calmly. "I'm sorry, but it says here in the article itself that the prediction has been proven wrong years ago, don't worry. Nothing's going to happen. Now just relax."
The unicorn face expression turned from evil to a just plain serious one.
"No time, Rainbow. I have to write the princess and warn everypony in town."
Dash's face changed to one of confusion again.
"Why? Nothing's gonna happen, Twilight. Like I said, they've proven it wrong, years ago."
The pony sighed.
"But the technology now is superior to back then. They probably didn't see a potentional threat because of the old tech. I must make them do another research and warn the princess plus everpony in town." She responded to the pegasus.
The cyan pony's face got a even more confused expression.
"Do you seriously believe that yourself? Don't be silly."
There was a moment of silence between the two friends.
"Rainbow." Twilight said. "Please leave my house."
"But, Twilight. You musn't scare people like that for-"
The pegasus was interupted before she could finish her sentence. Twilight started pushing the pegasus out of her house with her head from behind.
"Hey!" Rainbow yelled.
"Sorry Rainbow, but I need to make sure that everypony is warned and that I find a way to avoid us all from dying here."
As the unicorn finished her sentence she pushed her cyan friend out of th library and immediately shut the door behind her.
Twilight expected Rainbow to try and get in or just yell at her to open the door, but she saw the pegasus flying away through the window.
Spike was still laying on the ground, but got up when Twilight started talking to him again, while she was standing in front of him.
"Spike take a letter for the princess."
The little purple dragon sighed as he looked to the ground of the library.
"Rainbow already said it Twilight. Nothing's going to happen and you shouldn't scare everypony for nothing."
"Spike. Take. A. Letter." the unicorn commanded.
He sighed again.
"Fine, but you'll just get the same answer Twilight."
"Just do it, Spike."
"Okay, okay." he said reluctantly while he got his quill, ink and paper.
"Dear Princess Celestia,
It's now a week away from the day, that has been predicted by the Whitebeards, to be our last. A newspaper reminded me of this, I didn't believe it back then, but now I see that it may be possible
I know that scientist looked for potential threats, years ago. But since technology has been improved since then, I belief that scientist must research again, the technology might not have been good enough back then to find a potential threat.
So can you please get some scientists to do research on this matter? And do you know more about this? We don't have much time!
Your Faithful Student,
Twilight Sparkle."
Spike sent the letter away with his fire and his gaize returned to Twilight.
"There, so, just expect to read the same thing Dash and I have been saying to you." He said to the unicorn in front of him.
"Come on, we've got to warn everypony in town of this apocalypse." Twilight said to the dragon, changing the subject.
"Let's just wait for the letter Twilight." Spike suggested. " We can not warn these ponies for nothing. Even though I'm sure you'll get the same answer from her."
The expression on her face turned from serious to a bit angry.
"What if I am right Spike? Huh?" The lavender pony annoyed. " We can't just do nothing and wait till we all die."
Spike sighed.
"If you ARE right, then I think we shouldn't warn anypony either. We can't do anything about it and you don't want everypony to live their last week in fear do you?"
She looked angry at him and said: "If it is true -even though it is a possibility- then we just MUST look for a way to stop it or to stay alive."
The little dragon looked away, afraid to look the unicorn in the eye for what he was about to say.
"Sorry Twilight, but I didn't expect a very smart pony to believe this non-sense." he said quietly while looking towards the ground.
When her assistant finished his sentence, she began whispering to herself.
"Don't yell at him, Twilight. He's just a baby dragon. Do not do it."
"What was that?" Spike asked her when she was done whispering inaudible things."
The unicorn looked at him and gave a fake chuckle.
"Oh. Nothing."
When she finished her sentence, Spike suddenly belched out a letter, which fell to the cold library floor.
As soon as her mind processed that, she dashed to the letter, picked it up and began reading.
'Dear Twilight Sparkle,
Dear, there is nothing to worry about. Nothing will happen.
There is just no budget for a research that has already been done before.
Please don't worry and just go on with your studies, I also demand you not to warn other ponies, this could cause problems for nothing.
When Twilight read the last character of Celestia's letter, she collapsed back onto the cold and hard floor of the library. She lay on her belly, her hooves covering her eyes.
"Why doesn't ANYONE listen to me?! Is the research for the end of the world out of the budget?!"
The unicorn groaned after her last sentence and tears began to roll down her lavender cheeks.
Spike sat down next to her and began rubbing her shoulder again.
"It's all going to be fine, Twilight. Just believe that." He whispered, while there was a concerned look on his face.
After a few minutes of yelling, sobbing, shoulder rubbing and comforting whispers, there was a sound of a few knocks on the library's front door.
Twilight looked up with her watery eyes and responded.
"C-come in!"
The lavender unicorn gaized at the opening front door and her saw her five best friends walk in.
"Twilight! What's goin' on?" Applejack shouted as they all walked over to the sobbing unicorn and the baby dragon next to her.
She looked towards the floor and tried to respond.
"I-I d-dunno A-AJ...... the end of t-the world maybe?"
All the ponies sat down on the floor around the lavender pony and looked at each other with concerned faces.
"Yeah...Rainbow told us 'bout that." Applejack responded.
"Darling, there is just no way that the world is going to end next week." Rarity quickly added.
Twilight just kept sobbing and stayed quiet.
"Yeah." Pinkie Pie said with her high comforting tone. "Don't let such nonsense get you down. Oh! I know what will cheer you up! A party!"
"N-no t-time" She muttered back at the pink earth pony, while still looking towards the floor. "I must w-warn everpony."
Rainbow Dash sighed with a concerned look.
"I'm sorry Twilight, but we can't let you do that."
Twilight suddenly stopped crying and groaned.
"HOW CAN YOU JUST DO NOTHING WHILE THE END IS NEARBY!!!"
Fluttershy dashed to the kitchen out of fear and the others backed away from Twilight, including Spike
GODDAMNIT!! DO YOU PONIES WANT THE WORLD TO END OR SOMETHING!!!??"
"Uhm.....Darling, you really need to relax, we can get some medication if that helps." Rarity suggested with a soft voice.
"That. is. IT!" Twilight suddenly stoof up and ran through her front door, leaving five concerend ponies and one concerend baby dragon.
After a few seconds of silence there was somepony screaming outside.
"EVERYPONY!! THE PREDICTED END OF THE WORLD IS A WEEK FROM NOW!!! WE MUST FIND A WAY TO STOP IT OR TO TO STAY ALIVE!!"
It was Twilight Sparkle, obviously...
Her friends- excluding Fluttershy, who was still hiding- stepped out the library to see what was going on. Twilight was screaming into the air about the doomsday, many ponies had gathered to also see what the fuss was all about.
"Oh no..." Dash whispered to herself, while gaizing at the screaming pony.
"WE MUST STAND TOGETHER PONIES!!! WARN EVERYPONY YOU KNOW, THEY MUST KNOW ABOUT IT!! TOGETHER WE STAND STRONG!!!"
Out of the crowd suddenly came a response of a female pony.
"We all know that it is proven wrong years ago, you nutjob...." the pony said with a uninterested voice.
She growled into the air as hard as she could, it was deafening for all the ponies ears. It scared everypony around.
Her friends trotted over to her to stop her, but she was completely out of control.
They all got kicked away by the unicorn once they got close. Even Spike.
Once they all layed on the ground together Applejack whispered to her sane friends.
"Somepony must go an' get the cops."
"I'm on it." Rarity replied as she stood up and ran away.
Spike was crying in pain on the ground, he got kicked real hard in the stomach.
"FLUTTERSHY?!"
Applejack yelled towards the library to get the yellow pegasus to help them.
Twilight was still yelling things about the doomsday to the crowd of ponies
After a few seconds AJ spotted the timid pegasus in the doorway.
"YOU MUST TAKE CARE OF SPIKE!! HE GOT HURT!"
Fluttershy's gaize went from the orange earth pony to the baby dragon crying on the ground.
"Oh...my." She said softly to herself and trotted as fast as she could to the suffering dragon.
She sat him on her back and ran towards the direction of her cottage.
When the pegasus was out of sight, Applejack gaized over to the crazy unicorn yelling about things that won't happen.
"TWILIGHT STOP!! YER SCARING THESE PONIES FER NOTHIN'!"
Twilight's turned her head slowly towards the yellow earth pony and stopped yelling.
Her face was looking more evil than any living creature had ever seen. Applejack regreted stopping her at that moment.
As the lavender unicorn was about to speak, she was interupted by the shouting of somepony.
Three police officers ran towards the out of control unicorn along with Rarity. "Police, stop!"
"DON'T YOU THINK ABOUT STOPPING ME!! I MUST LEAD THESE PEOPLE!!" She screamed deafening into the air of Ponyville, she didn't even sound like Twilight anymore.
While she was still staring into the air, she was tackled by the officers.
The unicorn immediately got loose and stood up. Instantly the officers did too, but all got a kick into their stomach.
"YOU CAN'T STOP ME!!"
One of the officers laying on the ground grasped something from his side. A taser. Before Twilight could react, she got shot and immdiately collapsed onto the ground.
