Prologue: Nightmare Moon's Defeat Again


Twilight grins as she looks at herself in a mirror back in her library. The mare could hardly believe it. She is now an alicorn and a princess! Who thought that this day would come? Twilight sure didn't. Perhaps it must be the next step in her studies that Princess Celestia told her about.

Twilight is still living in Ponyville of course but she is still wondering if she would move and do some royal duties. Her thoughts were interrupted by her friends who are aweing over her. Fluttershy comments, "You look like a princess...err, did I say that?"

"Oh yes, you did." Twilight said with a light chuckle. Ben Mare, Nyx and Phobos, who helped her during the cutie mark switch incident that led to her being a princess, are of course helping making a party in honor of the new princess. "Who knew that a messed up spell cast by me would lead to this?"

"I sure didn't. I know that you didn't mean to switch our cutie marks and our true selves and we aren't mad at you for that." Rarity said pleased. "Well, maybe a bit peeved but you know that."

"Yes, yes, Rarity, I do. Thanks."

"Man, wouldn't it be awesome if the rest of us were alicorns too!" Rainbow remarks with a grin to the others. "I mean, how cool would that be?"

"That would be nice." Fluttershy said with a smile. "Imagine the help that I can do with the animals!"

"Too bad 'dat ain't happening anytime soon." Applejack remarks with a nod. "Ah done would love 'ta see 'dat."

Twilight, hearing that, has a thought then said, "Actually....maybe you can see it! Spike, get the machine!"

"No problem, princess!" Spike exclaims, saluting Twilight as he head off to get the machine.

"Just Twilight would do, okay?"

"'Machine'," Pinkie ask eagerly as she hops up and down on all four hooves. "You mean..."

"That's right." Twilight said as Spike push in a familiar machine, "The Universal Viewer! And since the party won't be for a while, how about we have a little show courtesy of your new princess?"

"I would love a show on that thing regardless!" Pinkie exclaims as she got out popcorn and drinks for herself and her friends. "Ready, Twilight!"

Twilight nods as she to the speaker and speaks into it, "Machine? What if my friends and I were alicorns earlier...like say after we defeated Nightmare Moon and when we first met? Tell us."

The machine came to life as a show begins to show up on the monitor...

Nightmare Moon laughs evilly, with Twilight looking worried. Not good, the Elements are in pieces right in front of her. All is lost...

Until Twilight hear voices, turning to hear the other ponies arriving into the tower. The purple unicorn gasps as a spark went off in her eyes. Of course, that's it!

"You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that?" Twilight ask Nightmare Moon with a smirk. "Well, you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here."

Soon the rest of the ponies appear, standing nearby the smiling Twilight. Suddenly, to the evil alicorn's shock, the shattered pieces of the Elements begin to glow and float into the air.

"What?" Nightmare Moon asks in surprise. How could this be happening?

"Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... honesty!" Twilight explains. To Applejack's surprise, she begins to glow as shards appear around her neck.

"Fluttershy, who tamed the Manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of... kindness!" Twilight explains as similar shards appear around Fluttershy's neck. "Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... laughter!" More shards appear around Pinkie's neck, much to her happiness.

Nightmare Moon looks stunned as Twilight continues, "Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... generosity!" Twilight adds as Rarity sees shards appearing around her neck. "And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of... loyalty!"

Rainbow grins as more shards appear around her own neck. Twilight continues, "The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us."

"You still don't have the sixth Element!" Nightmare Moon protested, trying to regain control of the situation. "The spark didn't work!"

"But it did! A different kind of spark," Twilight said while turning to the other ponies, giving them a smile. "I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all," The other ponies smile as their friend turns back to the evil alicorn, "...are my friends!"

Soon, a flash appears as Twilight saw another orb with has her cutie mark on it appear, the sixth element. Then it glows as Nightmare Moon tried to shield herself.

"You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the...the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of...magic!" Twilight announces as the whole group glows brightly.

Soon the shards turn into necklaces for the other ponies with their own cutie marks on them while the last element turns into a tiara which has her cutie that which lands on Twilight's head. The six ponies glow as a rainbow came from them, heading right for Nightmare Moon.

"NOOO," Nightmare Moon screams as she tries to escape but to no prevail, the rainbow is engulfing the evil alicorn.

The group continues to glows as Twilight opens her eyes...

A few minutes later, the ponies find themselves on the floor, groaning but safe and sound.

"Ugh, my head," Rainbow groans while she feels her own forehead.

"Everypony okay," Applejack asks her friends hopefully.

"Oh, thank goodness!" Rarity exclaims upon seeing a happy sight. There's her tail, replacing the one that she gave to the sea serpent earlier. It grew back!

"Why Rarity, it's so lovely." Fluttershy comments with a smile.

"I know! I'll never part with it again!" Rarity said happily.

"No, your necklace," Fluttershy said, pointing a hoof at Rarity's neck, much to the uniform's notice. "It looks like your cutie mark."

"Ooh. So does yours." Rarity said, noting Fluttershy's necklace. The yellow Pegasi gasps as she saw that her own cutie mark is indeed on the necklace that she's wearing.

"Aw yeah," Rainbow exclaims, pleased while glancing at her pendant.

"Gee, Twilight!" Applejack said to Twilight with a smile. "Ah thought yew were just speaking a lot o' hooey, but Ah reckon we really do represent 'de elements o' friendship."

"Indeed you do." A familiar voice spoke up. The mares turn to a window and gasps as the sun lift up, a flash of light went off as a familiar alicorn appears in front of them.

As the ponies minus Twilight bows, the happy purple unicorn exclaims, "Princess Celestia!" She rushes over as the two ponies begin to hug in a pony like way.

"Twilight, my faithful student; I knew you could do it." Celestia said with a smile. She then notices and looks surprised.

"Princess; is there a problem?"

"It appears that defeating Nightmare wasn't the only thing you have done...but rather you all have...gotten some new additions to yourselves."

"What do..." Twilight begins to say but a familiar scream...of joy cut her off.

"Twilight, look at me!" Pinkie squeals. Twilight turns and her eyes widen as she saw Pinkie smiling at her head and her...wings? The mare looks shocked as she took a double look and saw that a horn is now on the Earth pony's head!

"Twilight," Fluttershy gasps in surprise. Twilight saw that her friend has a new addition to herself: a horn on her head.

And Pinkie and Fluttershy isn't the only one. Applejack now has wings and a horn, Rarity now has wings and Rainbow now has a horn! The cyan pony looks at herself, grinning while saying, "Oh yeah! Look at my horn!"

"Did the Elements of Harmony did this to you girls?" Twilight gasps in shock and amazement.

"We ain't 'de only ones, sugar cube!" Applejack exclaims with her eyes widen. "Look at yerself!"

Twilight blinks as she looks at her side...and discovers wings now on herself! This could mean one thing..

Twilight and her friends are now Alicorns!

Chapter 1: Newest Princesses?


It was an hour later after the fall of Nightmare Moon and the return of Princess Luna. But rather than return to Ponyville, Celestia took her sister and the newest alicorns back to the castle.

"Incredible, Celly," Luna said glancing at the new features on the Mane Six. "They are now alicorns...but how is it possible?"

"The Elements of Harmony must've changed them this way, incredible." Celestia said impressed.

"So we really are alicorns now? Goodness!" Rarity exclaims in amazement as she flew a bit into the air before landing. "I must confess, when we decided to come on and help Twilight, we didn't expect this to happen."

"Nor does Twilight become an alicorn so soon. When I watch her on her first day, I didn't expect her to become an alicorn until later on."

"So wait, you have my destiny decided for me?" Twilight ask Celestia in shock and disbelief.

"No, I didn't decide your destiny. That's for you to decide. Unicorns or any other pony became alicorns when they did the most remarkable thing in their lives." Celestia explains to her student clearly. "Saving my sister must've been it, though I was expecting something else."

"Just like in the actual series, right? Yahoo," Pinkie giggles making her friends sigh a bit.

"Sooooo, is there a way to reverse this?" Twilight ask her teacher and Luna in concern.

"I'm afraid once you become an alicorn, there is no going back." Celestia explains to Twilight with a sigh. "No one knows if it can be reversed as of yet. You and your friends may be stuck like this."

Twilight looks down. She doesn't mind being an alicorn but didn't want the destiny to be forced on her friends. Applejack on the other hoof smiled while saying, "Shucks, Twilight. Actually, we done don't mind. 'Dis could be a good look fer us."

"Yeah! I can fly and shoot down enemies with my magic!" Rainbow laughs as she fires a zap at Applejack, making her yelp.

"Why yew!"

Applejack flies after Rainbow as she sends a blast at her, only to miss and hit a wall. Fluttershy yelps, "Eeeek! Okay, it's only fun and games until somepony gets hurt."

"Oh boy, alicorn fight!" Pinkie exclaims happily as she flies to join in the fun of zapping her friends.

"Oh, you mares are acting like..." Rarity yelps as Rainbow zaps her by mistake. Narrowing her eyes, she snaps, "Oh...it...is...on!" The white alicorn screams as she flies after her friends."

"Girls, shut it, come on!" Twilight exclaims to the other alicorns as Fluttershy hides behind a potted plant, doing her best to conceal herself.

"Enough!" Celestia exclaims as she uses her magic to stop the flying fighting alicorns in the air, putting them back onto the ground.

"Awww, we were having fun too!" Pinkie exclaims with a pouty look.

"Look, you girls just became alicorns and already you are misusing your powers. Now, you must learn to master your new alicorn powers if you are to stay this way. Until then, you shall continue living in Ponyville until we send for you, understand?"

"Yes, princess," The six alicorns, even though Twilight and Fluttershy weren't the ones involved in the madness. This is going to be a long day.

Ponyville cheers at the return of the princesses. Celestia smiles as Luna look around in uncertainly, wondering how her subjects will teach her after all she has done to them. The Goddess of the Night looks surprised as some ponies put a wreath on her neck as if saying 'all is forgiven'.

"Fillies and gentlecolts, today is a special day for two reasons. 1, my sister has returned." Celestia explains to the ponies who cheers on. "Now then, you wish to meet the heroes who are responsible for that happening as well as saving Equestria from Eternal Night."

"Yes, let's say that they got some new...improvement." Luna said to the ponies with a chuckle. "Ahem, please welcome your heroes...and your newest alicorns!"

The ponies look surprised as Twilight and her friends lands in the center of them. They look around a bit nervous. The ponies are now meeting new alicorns, how will they react?

"Oooh, I am not comfortable with the stares." Fluttershy mumbles a bit, uncomfortable by the stares given to her.

"Relax there, Flutter. Things oughta be y'all right." Applejack said to Fluttershy though the former Earth pony is a bit uncomfortable herself.

"Whoa, Twilight," Spike exclaims as he rush up to Twilight, hugging her. "You and the other girls are alicorns now!"

"Yeah...does that disturb you?" Twilight ask Spike in concern.

"You kidding; that's cool!"

"Everypony, Twilight and her friends will be learning how to use their alicorn powers but until then, just teach them as if this never happen." Celestia said to the subjects with a smile. "Now then, isn't there a party that should be happening?"

"Yes, the fun shall be doubled!" Luna giggles a bit, the ponies cheer on, making the Mane Six sigh. At least their alicorn status is accepted...for now.

Unknown to them, a figure is watching, looking curious as he ask, "They're alicorns and wielders of the Elements?! Hmmm, interesting..."

The alicorns and Spike walked into the library with joyful smiles on their faces. They couldn't believe that the former saved Equestria AND gain new forms! Amazing! 

"Well, besides the whole alicorn thing, on the plus side, we get to stay in Ponyville with our friends!" Spike exclaims to Twilight with a grin on his face.

"That's true." Pinkie remarks as she uses her magic to bring in some cake. "Sooooo, have you ever seen an alicorn at work?"

"A few times with my teacher and maybe my foalsitter Cadance," Twilight remarks in recollection. "Haven't try it but then again, I've never flew yet."

"Wow, I betcha with my new horn, I can help more with the animals." Fluttershy said with a smile.

"An' apple bucking will be mighty better 'dis season." Applejack remarks with a smile.

"And I can also deliver my customers' dresses with my new wings without waiting them to pick up!" Rarity exclaims eagerly. "That's service."

"And I can make more parties this way!" Pinkie giggles.

"Girls, girls, I know you're all excited about being alicorns but let's not go wild until the princesses shows us how to use our newfound powers." Twilight explains to her new friends in precaution.

"Come on; let me show off some magic." Rainbow remarks with a grin at her new horn.

"Rainbow," Twilight said to her former Pegasus friend sternly.

"Ugh, fine. Okay, I won't go crazy with my new magic." Rainbow said to Twilight a sigh.

"Right, so will the rest of us, darling." Rarity promises Twilight with a nod while the others nod a bit.

"Good, we can only hope we can continue what we normally do and hopes that Ponyville can get used to new alicorns living in their town." Twilight said hopefully.

"I sure hope so." Fluttershy said meekly.

And so, the other alicorns continue living their lives as if nothing has happened. Of course, it probably won't take long for something to go wrong.

"Wow, big sis!" Apple Bloom exclaims as Applejack trots in. "Yer're a winged Pegas wit’ a horn!"

"Alicorn, sis, an' Ah is still who Ah am." Applejack points out to her sister, "All righty, time 'da git some apple bucking. Where's Big Mac?"

"He's right over 'dere, Applejack." Apple Bloom replied as she pointed a hoof to a direction.

Applejack notices Big Mac, getting a bit exhausted. The big sister ask, "Havin' trouble, big bro?"

"Eeyup; Getting exhausted wit' 'de apple bucking an' our family went on home." Big Macintosh said as he motions to a lot of apples.,"Got a lot 'ta work wit'."

"Dang; 'Dat will done take all day 'ta work wit'." Applejack said in concern. She will be at this job until nightfall!

"Well, why not use yer new horn power?" Apple Bloom asked, pointing out the horn on her sister's head.

"Great horny toads, no; Ah ain't ever use magic 'ta fix problems on our farm before!" Applejack exclaims to Apple Bloom with a frown.

"Ah know but yer're an alicorn now! Yew could git 'dis done in no time flat!" Apple Bloom points out to her sister with a smile.

Applejack hesitates then said, "Maybe...but Ah promised Twilight not 'ta overdo mah new magic."

"Actually, I may agree with Apple Bloom. Just use some levitation magic." Big Macintosh suggests to Applejack.

"Well...As long as Ah done don't overdo it." Applejack mumbles a bit. After all, it's just some levitation trick, right?

Applejack concentrates as she uses her new horn magic. Soon, the apples float out of one tree, landing in a bucket.

"Yeehaw; 'Dat's awesome, sis!" Apple Bloom exclaims to Applejack who looks impressed. She did that on her first try.

"Yeah...now let's see what happens when Ah do it while flying!" Applejack exclaims as she flew into the air and uses her magic to move apples from another tree, putting them into another bucket.

"Mighty impressive," Apple Bloom exclaims with a squee.

"Eeyup," Big Macintosh remarks in agreement.

"'Dat's nothing! How about Ah y'all do it at once?" Applejack asked eagerly as she goes into overdrive, using her magic to pull all the apples out of the trees.

That's when things went bad. The apples went flying out of control, hitting other trees and almost hitting the ponies.

"Yikes, look out!" Apple Bloom screams as she and Big Macintosh heads for cover.

"What in tarnation," Applejack asked in shock at noticing the madness she's unintentionally causing.

Applejack screams as she flies for cover behind a cloud. After a while, things calm down...but the area looks like a tornado has went through it.

Applejack, landing near her family who came out of hiding, looks embarrassed as she ask, "Yew think Ah done overdid it?"

"Ah think ya really did." Apple Bloom replied nervously.

Rainbow went back to her duty of weather control. The mare was clearing the skies and putting in some new clouds.

"Man, it's boring that I can't use magic to make this better." Rainbow mumbles a bit. She looks down, seeing some ponies getting a bit hot. "And those ponies sure look hot."

Rainbow got an idea; perhaps she can use a little magic to make a cool breeze. The mare focuses her horn's power...and makes a spell that send the said cool breeze throughout Ponyville.

"Oh yeah, I did awesome!" Rainbow exclaims with a smile. "Hey, maybe I can add a lot of rain in the clouds!"

Rainbow then flies around using her magic on some clouds, causing them to glow a bit.

"Very soon, it will rain and..." Rainbow begins to speak, but suddenly too much rain and hailstone came out of the clouds. "WHOA!"

The ponies on the ground scream as they run to avoid the hailstones, some of which are the sizes of boulders. Rainbow, in a panic works on trying to fix things, but ends up either making heavy blizzards or giving ponies sunburns.

"Hoo boy, Twilight isn't going to be happy about this." Rainbow remarks, looking worried for the mess that she has made.

Applejack and Rainbow aren't the only ponies having a big of problems. Rarity begins having problems of her own as she is working on some dress.

"Hmmm..." Rarity said thoughtfully. "Perhaps I could give it some notch..."

Rarity hums while using some magic to make her clothes come to life. The white alicorn smiles as she works on the clothes happily.

"My goodness; I didn't know why I didn't become an alicorn sooner." Rarity said with a smile. She is getting her dresses some faster.

Perhaps a bit too faster, some of the clothes are flying towards her, the needles end up missing and cause holes in the fabric.

"Oh my," Rarity exclaimed in surprise.

Rarity flies around, doing her best to get things under control, but her wings end up getting trapped in some goo stuff that flew, sending her right into a dressing room where some stuff piled up in front, trapping her.

"Perhaps I overdid it a bit." Rarity said with a whimper.

And of course, the new alicorns (besides Twilight) like Applejack, Rainbow and Rarity aren't the only ones who have trouble with their powers, so are the remaining ones. Pinkie smiles as she uses her magic to make cake and other desserts appear, flying around and serving the customers.

"Well, I gotta admit, this is an improvement for you, Pinkie." Mr. Cake said to Pinkie, impressed.

"Yes...but aren't you overdoing this a bit? Maybe you should try to calm down." Mrs. Cake said to Pinkie in concern.

"Awww, come on! Everypony else loves the new me! Don't you folks?" Pinkie asks the customers happily.

"YEAH," The crowd cheers on wildly.

"Yeah; Okay, how about some cannon fire?"

"Pinkie no," Mr. Cake gasps in alarm and shock upon hearing what the new alicorn just said. "No cannon! Because..."

Too late, Pinkie uses her magic to make more cannons appear...that only fires like mad. Soon what was once cheering gave away to screams of terror as they dodge to avoid the cannon fire that sent holes right through the walls of Sugarcube Corner and of course it also attacks any pony outside.

"FUN FUN FUN," Pinkie exclaims as she flies around happily but notices the terrified looks on her bosses' faces. "What?"

Twilight was busy, studying alicorns. It said here that the powerful ponies' magic can take time to master and longer to do unless trained with an experienced alicorn. Twilight figures she could ask one of the Royal Sisters to train her and her friends to use their magic.

"Spike, send a letter to the princess." Twilight said with a smile as Spike got the usual paper and quill out. "'Dear...'"

Suddenly Fluttershy flew in, looking worried as she exclaims, "Twilight, Twilight, you must help me!"

"With what; what's wrong?"

"Look outside!"

The new alicorns and Spike rush outside, two of them AKA Twilight and the baby dragon saw a horrifying sight. The animals, even the baby ones, are rushing throughout Ponyville like mad, causing ponies to run around in horror, with Rose screaming, "The horror, the horror!"

"Fluttershy, what happened?!" Twilight gasps to Fluttershy in worry.

"I...I am sorry. Some of my animals are trying to get used to my new alicorn form. I thought I would use a spell to calm them down. Unfortunately, I made a bright light...and they went nuts." Fluttershy said meekly, hiding behind her huge mane. "I'm sorry."

"Ugh, I told you not to go overboard with your newfound powers! At least the other girls..."

"DUCK," Spike screams as cannonballs and hailstones almost hit the group. They saw Rainbow and Pinkie trying to get the weather and cannons under control.

"Pinkie, watch your aim!" Rainbow scream then yelps as one bear almost claws her, "GAH; Fluttershy!!!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Fluttershy squeaks as she flew over, trying to get the bear under control but almost got hit by lightning, "Eeek!"

"Not my fault! Okay, it is, but still..."

"Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie!" Twilight exclaims in belief while dodging the madness. "Did you use your magic to try to make your jobs easier?"

"Uh...if we say yes, are we still in trouble?" Pinkie asks Twilight sheepishly making the purple alicorn groans in frustration. She warned her friends not to go crazy with their powers, but did they listen? No! What else could go wrong?

"Twilight, be a dear and give me some assistant!" Rarity is heard muffling. Twilight saw an unusual sight. There's the white alicorn trapped in fabric used for making dresses. The mare is having trouble in keeping her own supplies under control.

"Rarity, not you too," Twilight said to Rarity to despair.

"No worries, my lady, I will save ya!" Spike exclaims in determination as he jumps at the fabric, trying to rip it apart in hopes to free Rarity. Of course, a mannequin pushes him right off, sending the baby dragon onto the ground, "Ouch; or not."

"Great, almost all my friends have misuse or have been overdoing their powers! Let me guess, Applejack has been using her powers to work on her farm too, right?"

"Well..." Twilight saw Applejack, covering with applesauce remains from her apples, flying up to her, looking a bit sheepish. "Yew could say 'dat."

"UGH! Why the hay didn't you girls listen?! I told you to not to go crazy with your powers!!!"

"We're sorry." Fluttershy said meekly and in guilt. Even the rest of the new alicorns feel sorry for not heeding their friend's advice.

"We got tempted and...oh, we're so sorry, darling." Rarity said, still trying to escape from her fabric prison.

"But you got to at least do something, Twilight!" Rainbow exclaims frantically at the madness happening. "You're the princess's number one student. Don't you got any spell or something?"

"Allow me!" Twilight exclaims as she stood in one place and then her horn flashes, glowing with magic. Then she aims at the madness that is happening.

For a moment, it looks like Twilight has done it and things are showing down...WRONG! Things suddenly multiply like mad and go faster, smashing down building and attacking ponies. Even Rarity screams as the fabric tries to squeeze the life out of her.

"No good, we're in trouble." Pinkie said meekly. Twilight looks helpless and worried. If she became an alicorn years later, then the mare would've been better prepared. But now, her new home is in danger.

"ENOUGH!" A familiar voice booms. Every pony, even the new alicorns, looks up to see a familiar princess floating in the air, looking sternly and upset while glowing.

"Princess Celestia!" The new alicorns exclaims in surprise, relief and worry, the last part is because of the upset look on her face. They know why. Celestia must've heard about what happened...and is very upset indeed.

Celestia glares at what's going then her horn flashes, sending a wave throughout Ponyville. Soon the weather went back to normal, the cannons disappear, the Carousel Baroque supplies went back to normal, even the animals calm down, looking confused; The citizens of Ponyville calms down, happy that everything is back to normal.

Well, almost. Celestia lands near the new alicorns, giving an upset and disappointed to her student and her friends. They look away or down in guilt and concern.

Twilight and her friends are in trouble.

Chapter 2: Alicorn Training


Well, the good news is that the disasters made by the new alicorns has been calm. The bad news is that Twilight and her friends, the said alicorn, are in big trouble with the princess. They were told to wait in the library so that Celestia will talk to the Mayor over what happened.

A while later, Celestia arrives in the library, pacing back and forth in front of her students and her friends who looks guilty and sad. The princess sighs while saying, "I can't say that I am not disappointed. You were alicorns for 1 day and already you almost destroyed Ponyville. You're lucky that I convince the Mayor not to press charges or have you exiled just because it's your first time."

"Princess...I take full responsibility for my friends' actions." Twilight said to Celestia in sadness. "I warned them about going crazy with their powers...and only made things worst. Please, punish me, not my friends."

"Princess, it's our fault. We didn't listen to Twilight." Rainbow said to Celestia in guilt. "We used our magic when we didn't know how to control it yet."

"Right, and while my wings are an improvement, even they made things worse." Rarity said with a nod of agreement. "We were selfish."

"Yeah, I guess I got carried away with my fun." Pinkie said in regret, with her mane and tail flattened showing how sad she can be. "Don't take me away..."

"Or send us to the moon." Fluttershy said with a whimper.

Celestia sighs while saying, "Well, girls, you have all seen what happened when you can't control your newfound alicorn powers or misuse them. That's lesson one: use them wisely. Perhaps it was a foolish move to let you return home after becoming alicorns so soon."

"Yer're going 'ta banish us fro' our home?!" Applejack gasps to Celestia as the other new alicorns look worried. Will their ruler be forced to have them removed from Ponyville, all because of some mistakes beyond their control?

"No, you will still be living in Ponyville but you will need to go into training sooner than expected! Prepare yourselves!"

Celestia's horn glows as a flash appears throughout the room. A while later, everyone, even Spike, are gone...

Twilight blinks a bit as she looks around. She and her friends, as well as Spike, find themselves in some strange space full of stars and nebulae. Celestia stood there in front of the new alicorns, calmly as if being here before.

"Princess, where did you take us?" Twilight ask the princess as her friends look around in surprise, amazement or fear (mostly fear on Fluttershy's part). "What is this place?"

"This realm you are in is called the Infinite Realm, outside the timeline of Equestria." Celestia explains to the ponies calmly.

"So wait, so we're moving bound by time or something?" Spike asks Celestia in amazement. "Cool."

"But how are we breathing?" Fluttershy ask in a whisper, looking worried and concerned. "Are we...dead?"

Celestia of course gave a smile, explaining, "No, you are perfectly safe and can breathe. I brought you here to do some training with your powers. Normally, I was intending on taking Twilight here when the time comes...but after what happened, I think the rest will get that honor."

"Cool! So what, we're going to train to be princesses too?" Rarity ask Celestia curiously

"Maybe, but that depends on how well you all do."

"But won't our families and friends done miss us?" Applejack asks the princess in concern. "Ah mean, Ah know 'dat Ah done mess up on mah farm..."

"Relax, Applejack. We wouldn't be gone long, in fact we will be gone for a whole year here and still, time won't pass much out there." Celestia giggles to the former Earth pony. "I already contact your families and friends about the training and you will be gone for a while so you won't worry about a thing."

"Are we ready, sister?" Luna asks as she appears from out of nowhere.

"Princess Luna?" Twilight ask Luna, surprised to see the former Nightmare Moon and now the reinstated co-ruler of Equestria here.

"I have come to assist my sister in your training. Trust me; I won't be easy like some teachers do."

"Can I watch? And can I have some food as well?" Spike asks the princesses curiously. Celestia made some food for him to eat; the baby dragon takes some ice cream eagerly. "Thanks!"

"Oh Spike." Twilight giggles to Spike, shaking her head at this. "As usual, Spike can't keep his mind out of his stomach." 

"All right, time for the training to begin." Celestia said sternly as the training begins with the scene changing to a wasteland. "This place can change scenes definitely on my decision so prepare yourselves!"

"So let me ask, what are we doing here, princess?" Rarity asks Celestia in concern.

"This will be the first part of the training...and with no wings and horns!" Celestia exclaims as she uses her magic to put ropes around the ponies, covering their wings and put some collar on their necks, keeping their magic.

"Wait, what?" Twilight ask Celestia in surprise.

"For this training, you must build up to be alicorns. You shall start as Earth ponies. When you succeeded, we will move up to unicorns, then to Pegasi and finally to alicorn." Luna explains to the ponies in agreement.

"Seriously," Applejack asked with a shrug. "Well, if Pinkie an' Ah started out as Earth ponies, it's done easy fer us."

"Yes...except you got to catch us." Celestia taunts as she and Luna flew off, "You must catch up to us without use of wings or magic, my little ponies." 

"Ooh! A game of chase! Sounds like fun!" Pinkie exclaimed happily.

"But I've never done it without wings before!" Rainbow complains a bit. "How am I supposed to catch up?"

"Just try your best!" Twilight exclaims as she and her friends rush after the princesses. "If we must learn to control our alicorn powers, we got to work up to the alicorn level!"

"Well, sounds fair." Fluttershy said meekly as she and her friends, with Twilight putting Spike on her back without magic, follows the princesses.

The six and Spike continues rushing. Luna smirks while suggesting to Celestia, "How about we throw down some obstacles, sister?"

"Interesting idea," Celestia giggles as she drops some green slime onto the ground. "Watch it, ponies!"

"Eew, gross," Rarity exclaimed in disgust as she dodged the slime.

"Hey, no fair!" Pinkie protests while dodging the slime.

"Well, Earth ponies have to deal with this kinda stuff all the time." Celestia explains while using magic to make spikes (not Spike!) appears. The ponies jump over and move around them. "Impressive!"

"We learn fast!" Rainbow laughs while dodging a spike, "Hey, Applejack! Betcha I can beat ya to the princesses!"

"'Dat's a challenge? Ah accept!" Applejack laughs while moving around, chasing Rainbow with the others catching up.

"Whoa, slow down!" Twilight exclaims as she tries to catch up. "Hang on, Spike!"

"What do you think I was doing?" Spike asked Twilight while holding onto the pony. He looks up and gasps. "Look out for that..." The ponies crashes right into a rocky wall, with Spike falling off. "...wall."

The new alicorns look up to see Celestia and Luna above them on top of a cliff of the rocky wall. Celestia jokes, "How's the weather down there?"

"Princess, how are we supposed to catch up now?" Twilight ask Celestia in concern.

"You are Earth ponies for the moment, so I suggest you find ways to get up this rocky wall without magic or wings." Celestia suggest to her student and her friends with a grin.

"Why, that no-good, ornery bucker!" Rainbow shouted angrily as she started climbing up the wall.

"Rainbow, calm down; this is the princess we're talking about." Fluttershy said to Rainbow calmly while climbing up. "Besides, I'm sure she wouldn't mean to troll us...would she?"

"The princess has won the 'Best Prank Award' in Canterlot 100 years in a row." Twilight explains to her friends with a shrug while climbing upward.

"That explains things." Rarity said. Twilight yelps as she almost fell but the white pony caught her in time, "Careful, darling."

"Thanks." Twilight said as the ponies continue their climb. "Rarity, can I ask you something...between you and me?"

"Certainly, darling; Anything from a friend," Rarity said to Twilight with a smile.

"Uh, it's about Spike. I know already but...did you...I don't know...notice how goofy he is towards you?" Twilight ask Rarity curiously, wondering if her friend suspects the baby dragon's crush towards her by now.

"Oh, maybe...don't get this wrong. It's cute...but...I want to get to know Spikey Wikey before getting...further." Rarity said to Twilight with a wink of her eye.

"So how about you, egghead, got a special somepony in your life?" Rainbow asks Twilight. May as get some questions to pass the time while climbing.

Hearing this got Twilight off guard a bit. No one asked her that before.

"Err, uh...hey, we're there." Twilight said, blushing as she saw that she and her friends has gotten to the top of the cliff.

The alicorns glances at Spike who shrugs while saying, "Don't look at me. Twilight won't talk to me about it either!"

As the new alicorns gotten to the cliff, they see the Royal Sisters...having a tea party of all things. Luna, seeing them, said, "Ah, you all made it."

"Did we catch up wit' yew yet?" Applejack asked the princesses with a sigh.

"Yes...and you may join us." Celestia said with a grin. The ponies and Spike sigh as they prepare to head over...over for the princess to fire a blast at them.

"Hey!" Pinkie exclaims in surprise and alarm.

"Well, come on, you may join us." Celestia said to the ponies with a playful smirk.

Twilight can guess what this is: another part of the test. They have to get by Celestia's zaps to get to the table and with no magic and wings. Rainbow and Applejack tries to charge in but Celestia kept them back with her magic.

"Well, what are you ponies waiting for?" Luna taunts the ponies in amusement. "You may join us."

"Girls, listen up. We got to use trickery to pass this part of the training." Twilight whispers to her friends, making up a strategy. "Pinkie, can you make a distraction?"

"Leave that to me!" Pinkie said confidently with a wink.

"Okay, Rarity, do you see anything that can...make clothes that can hide us?" Twilight ask Rarity. "And a follow up: can you do dresses without magic?"

"My dear Twilight, I was doing dresses long before you show up. Of course I can do magic by hoof." Rarirty said to Twilight with a smile.

"Look, while Pinkie distract, we will sneak in. Rainbow, Applejack, when we get closer, you grab Celestia from behind." Twilight whispers to Rainbow and Applejack who nodded. "Fluttershy...can you be cute?" 

"Yes, I can." Fluttershy said with a nod.

The Royal Sisters watch as the ponies is in a huddle, whispering their plan. They'd love to see what the six will do to join them for tea.

Soon the ponies goes into break and zip off, leaving only Pinkie Pie. Dress making noises are heard, much to Celestia and Luna's notice.

"Hmmm, what are those ponies up to, sister?" Luna ask in amusement and interest.

"I don't know...they got some plan" Celestia said with a giggle.

"Okay, give us all your tea and cookies!" Pinkie laughs madly as she fires at the two alicorns with a party cannon. "I wanna fight for my right to PARTY!"

Celestia uses her force field to cover herself and Luna. This goes on for a few minutes or so. For a moment, it looks like nothing would come out of it. Luna however notices that part of an area...looks weird moving as if it's moving.

"INVADE!" A familiar voice exclaims as five familiar ponies came out of a dress that hid them all. Celestia looks startled as Applejack and Rainbow came behind her and hold her.

"Oh dear, help me, sister!" Celestia exclaims in pretend shock and panic.

Luna prepares to jump in but Fluttershy flew in front of her, giving the princess puppy dog eyes look, saying, "Please don't hurt my friends, Princess of the Night."

"Oh dear, the cute one...is too cute!" Luna exclaims, too 'paralyzed' by the cuteness. By this time, Twilight laughs as she jumps into a seat near Celestia.

With Celestia held down, she couldn't keep her force field up, allowing Pinkie, Spike and Rarity to jump into seats on their own; the remaining ponies jump into the remaining ones by the time the Royal Sisters recover.

"Oh yeah, we did it!" Rainbow cheers wildly. They have caught up with the Royal Sisters and joined them for tea! 

"Yes, you did." Celestia said proudly to the alicorns. "Congratulations, my little ponies. You have completed the Earth pony part of the training."

The ponies smiles while cheering. Spike exclaims, "Cool! So that's it? They have to chase ya and join ya in a tea party?"

"While we make it tougher to do so;" Luna explains with a proud smile. "Now you may join us."

"Thank goodness. We were wondering if you did that during alicorn training!" Rarity exclaims as she sips from a tea cup."

"Well, back then, the training...wasn't like this." Celestia admits to the ponies. "It was simpler. We just change it to 'spice' things up a bit."

"It worked." Rainbow remarks while Pinkie eat some cookies happily.

"So when will we do the next part?" Twilight ask her teacher curiously. She wishes for herself and her friends to get the training done so that they can go home.

"The unicorn part will be tomorrow." Celestia answers gently. "For now, just rest and relax; because from then on, things will get...harder."

"I kinda figured you would say that." Twilight said with a sigh as the party continues on. This is going to be one long training.

It was nighttime...well, wherever the ponies are as the alicorns all slept in a huddle. The Royal Sisters has chosen to return to the main reality, leaving Twilight and her friends for now.

Twilight is the only one not sleeping, sighing sadly as she looks up at the sky. This wakes up her friends who notice. Applejack ask, "Twilight; Yew okay, sugah cube?"

"I'm fine...well, not really." Twilight said while looking down a bit.

"You did fine in the first training. Why are you unhappy?" Fluttershy ask Twilight in concern.

"Girls...I'm sorry. I didn't want you to go through what we did; being alicorns when you should've gotten better, staying as you are and continue on with your normal forms."

"We already forgave you, Twilight. Isn't that enough?"

"I know...it's just....you went through some hard training like I did when I was student before meeting you. I felt responsible for what happened to my new friends." Twilight explains to her friends who listen in. "Before I met you, I didn't need friends...especially since..."

"Twilight...did something happen to your special somepony?" Rarity asks Twilight who went silent because of that. "I know you were caught offguard earlier by that subject. You can tell us."

"...yes, I did have a special somepony. His name is Ben Mare, an Earth pony. He and I used to go to the same school before I became a student under Celestia.

"'Ben Mare'," Rainbow scoffs in disbelief by the name. "Isn't 'Mare' a female pony term?"

"Rainbow Dash, quit it! 'Dat ain't ice!" Applejack scolds Rainbow before turning back to Twilight. "Tell us more."

"Us, come on, tell us." Pinkie said to Twilight with a warm smile.

"Ben Mare was a good friend, he has the nicest smile. He was often bullied or picked on by some foals, especially that jerk Boris." Twilight remarked, scoffing the name of a former classmate of her. "But Ben and I were...close..."

"Close as in special sompeonies?"

"Yes."

"So what happened to him?" Rarity asks Twilight in concern. "Why isn't he with you now?"

"I don't know. On the day that I became the princess's new student, he disappeared...I never saw him again. After that, I never dated or made friends out of fear that they too will disappear." Twilight sighs sadly as she looks to the sky of the weird dimension. "Somehow, I feel like he's watching me, doing his best to protect me..."

The other Mane Six members listen in, feeling sad and sorry for their friend. Applejack pats the purple alicorn on the back saying, "Don't yew worry, sugah cube. We won't be going nowhere anytime soon."

"Yeah, we will still hang around." Rainbow remarks to Twilight with a light chuckle. "And who knows? When your training is complete, you can use your powers to help you find your colt-friend."

"And we'll help." Fluttershy said gently. "Because that's what friends do. They help."

Twilight thought about what her friends said then smiles while saying, "Thank you. And you're right. We can do anything in our powers to find Ben and bring him home."

The Mane Six hug one another, Pinkie said happily, "Normally, this will be a time when I make a party...but since its sleepy time, I will save that for later!"

"Pinkie."

The ponies resume their bedtime; they need all the rest that they themselves can get for training tomorrow. Unknown to them, someone is watching from nearby, looking interested and amused.

"I had a feeling that they cause all the mess; Hmmmm. Maybe I can help them with their powers. Better get things ready." The figure said as she then heads off through a portal nearby, disappearing from sight.

Chapter 3: Unicorn Madness


It was morning or whatever you call it in the Infinite Realm. The alicorns and Spike were still sleeping as two shadowy familiar figures appear. One of them giggles, "Sister, looks like they're sleeping."

"Yes, it would be a shame to wake them up." The second sister said in agreement.

"Want to wake them up?"

"Yes, I shall..." The second figure clears her throat then screams in her Royal Canterlot voice. "WAKE UP!"

The group screams as Pinkie jumps into the air before falling, landing on Spike. The pink alicorn screams, "I swear, it wasn't me! It was an imposter who cuts Dashie into cupcakes!"

"What the hay is you on about?" Rainbow asks Pinkie uneasily by the screaming.

"Oooh, bad dream."

"Rise and shine, my little ponies," Celestia giggles to the ponies who are recovering from Luna's Royal Canterlot voice waking them up.

"It's flank kicking time!" Luna laughs a bit. She loves doing this kind of stuff.

"Ugh, couldn't you wait until we wake up naturally?" Twilight ask the Royal Sisters with a groan. "What time is it?"

"It's not sunrise yet but we decided to wake you up early." Celestia remarks with a smile. The new alicorns looks disbelief. The sun has risen yet?

"Oh dear, waking up early and without combing my mane does murder." Rarity said with a sigh while looking at her mane and tail. "I wish I can use my magic to fix it."

"Well, you're in luck. Today is the start of the unicorn portion of the training. You are now allowed to use your magic."

Celestia uses her magic to remove the devices on the alicorns' horns. Rainbow exclaims, "Man! Those things are cramping my style!"

"So how we will y'all be doing 'dis?" Applejack asks the Royal Sisters curiously. "Is there anything we gotta fight against?"

"In a moment; my sister will leave for a moment to raise the sun and do some duties for a while." Luna explains to the group. "I will train you in levitation in the meantime."

"Ugh, no offense but 'de last time Ah did 'dat, it didn't end well."

"Neither is for some of the ponies." Spike explains with a slight chuckle.

"Well, this time we will do it right." Celestia said as she motions to some barrels of apples nearby, "All right, Twilight? Will you kindly get us some apples; with your horn? And focus."

Twilight nods as she focus on some apples in the barrels, some of them came out of them. The fruit floats over to the ponies who grabs them and ate the fruit. Fluttershy said, "Wow...that was...amazing."

"Shows what you know." Rainbow remarks with a scoff. "Twilight has been studying magic all her life. We're beginners."

"I must leave for now but I shall be back soon. Luna? Take over from here." Celestia said as she teleports from the area, leaving Luna to do the alicorns' training.

"All right, time we begin. Applejack; you're first." Luna said with a grin to Applejack. The latter gulps in worry, recalling what happened before.

Applejack focuses a bit, getting some fruit out...then it went out of control and almost hit Spike, Pinkie moves him out of the way in time.

"Focus, Ms. Apple, focus." Luna said calmly to Applejack who tries again. The mare was doing good...but it hurts herself int he head. "You disappoint me. And you are one of the Elements bearers who saved me from the darkness?"

"Shucks, 'dis ain't easy fer a cowpony like me!" Applejack exclaims in frustration as she throws her hat to the ground. "Ah mean, Ah was doing farmwork all mah life, not magic or nothing. Ah can't git 'dis!"

"It's okay." Fluttershy said with a smile while nuzzling her friend. "We believe in you."

"Right, so do I. Believe me, I have trying levitating when I was doing magic but it was a few tries before I got it right." Twilight said to Applejack in agreement. "If Fluttershy say that we believe in you, then we do."

"You can do it, keep trying." Spike remarks as he pats Applejack on the back.

The mare smiles, her friends' encouragement has cheered her up. So Applejack tries again, causing more fruits to come out and heading towards her, Luna and Applejack's friends. To her surprise, the floating is in complete control.

"Well done!" Luna exclaims pleased as she took a fruit eating it. "I can see why your family is the best in Ponyville."

"Ah did it? Ah did it! YEEHAW," Applejack exclaims as she floats more fruit with control. "Looks like wit' mah friends' support an' encouragement, even 'dis former Earth pony can make magic easy."

"Who shall go next?"

"I will!" Pinkie exclaims as she happily uses her magic to cause all of the fruit to float out then she juggles them in the air without holding. "Ta da! Watch the Great and Powerful Pinkie juggle! Look, ma, no hooves!"

"Pinkie Pie, you are so random!" Rainbow giggles to Pinkie in amusement.

The training took a while to work involving magic, especially when Celestia came back to assist. Some ponies took a few tries but they have managed to get the levitation spell done.

"Good work, Fluttershy." Celestia said proudly as Fluttershy levitate a basket from one end of the field to the other. "You are so calm even when under fire."

"Thank you." Fluttershy said gently as she put the basket down. "When working with animals, I am calm as long as I'm not scared."

"Well, I think you have gotten the hang of the levitation spells."

"Yeah, it took a few tries but even an unicorn like me has done the impossible." Rarity said proudly as she passes an apple to Spike who takes it with a smile.

"Thanks, Rare." Spike said while biting into the apple.

"And now, it's time for the defense spells." Luna said seriously. "When dealing with attackers, you must defend yourself."

"What, no offense spells?" Rainbow asks Luna puzzled. If the alicorns have to defend, won't they need to fight back?

"I'm sure the offense will come later." Twilight assures to Rainbow, "Right, princess?"

"Right; for now, we will throw fruit at you and you must block the attacks." Celestia said as he and Luna stood next to one another, "Spike?"

"Right, out of the danger zone," Spike said as he moves away a bit to get away from the range. "Okay, be careful, girls."

"We're..." Pinkie yelps as she dodges an apple thrown by her by Luna's magic. "Hey, no fair, we ain't ready yet!"

"The enemy wouldn't give you time to prepare. You must focus and be prepare at all cost!" Luna exclaims as she and Celesia throws more fruit at the alicorn who either run or tries to use magic to dodge. "Keep trying, my little ponies!"

As the unicorn training goes on, two ponies were watching as the bigger pony says to the little one as she was getting a launcher of some kind ready, "Are you sure about this? Is this a little too much?"

The little pony then says, "To me it is not too much. Just make sure to keep loading this as I fire away. This will really give their magic something to truly be put to the test as they try to not get crushed." She then looks at the readers and says, "Not really but it is to just make it more tougher," The little one then fires the first shot and says to the bigger pony, "Please load the next one we got alicorns to train."

The big pony nods and starts loading. The two Royal Sisters sense something, smirking a bit.

"Well, never mind the apples; we got something bigger to train with." Celestia said with a giggle. The ponies turn and saw huge shots coming their way.

"Holy matrimony," Spike exclaims in shock and alarm.

"Watch out!" Twilight shouted as she and her friends dodged the blasts at first.

"Do not dodge, try to defend!" Celestia exclaims seriously. The alicorns took their advice to start and focus hard, causing shields to block out the blasts.

"There, you're learning!" Luna cheers on the ponies with a smile on her face.

"Come on, girls, we can do this!" Twilight shouted.

"Move it, Fluttershy!" Rainbow exclaims as she uses a shield to block a blast from Fluttershy in time.

"Oh, oh, my goodness," Fluttershy squeaks as she barely dodges in time.

The little pony firing watches on in amusement while the big one said, "Well, those ponies are doing well for beginning alicorns."

"I know! It's like they are meant for this!" The little pony exclaims eagerly.

The blasts kept on coming. The new alicorns manages to do well in defending themselves so far.

"Keep at it, girls! We gotta pass this test!" Twilight shouted.

"Yes, keep at it...you're being attacked on both sides!" Luna teases as she fires a lightning bolt at the ponies whose blocks both it at the blasts at the same time.

"What in Sam Hill is yew doing?" Applejack demands to Luna in alarm.

"When attacked by both sides, you must learn to defend both." Celestia explains as she flies up to fire a ray which Rainbow blocks.

"Oh I see, I get it," Spike said while watching on, "Pretty clever, attacked on both sides."

"So you wanna play rough, do ya?!" Rainbow shouted with a determined look on her face.

"Well, we can play rougher!" Twilight exclaims as she and her pals grow a bit. Soon a huge shield appears around all the alicorns, blocking out the attacks.

"Impressive." The big pony said in amazement as he saw what's happening. "This is much better than my own first time!"

"Yeah, and in 3-D," The little pony booms while wearing a pair of 3D glasses that appears to have come from out of nowhere.

"Try and beat that now! Nah nah nah nah nah," Pinkie teased the princesses.

"Impressive." Celestia said as the glow dies down, causing the ponies to land onto the ground. "Okay, I believe we can stop. You too, Golden Heart, your job is now done."

"Golden Heart," The Mane 6 asked in confusion and unison.

The mysterious ponies finally came out of hiding. One of them is a male brown alicorn with a golden mane and a golden tail with a gold heart cutie mark, wearing a golden plated chest armor, gold bracelets with green jewels and silver anklets with green jewels.

The other new pony surprised most of the alicorns but amuses Pinkie as it looks like her except both her mane and tail are flatten and she got a creepy look.

"Hi! Love the game of catch? It's Super Duper fun!" The little pony remarks with a smile.

"Greetings, my little alicorns; my name is Golden Heart, an ally of the Royal Sisters during the fight against Discord." Golden Heart said, greeting the new alicorns while bowing to them all.

"Nice to meet you," Twilight said with a smile.

"I must be seeing double!" Rarity exclaimed as she looked at Pinkie and the other pony that looks almost exactly like Pinkie.

"Why were you attacking us?" Rainbow asks the new alicorn while glancing at the Pinkie Pie lookalike. "And what's with the lookalike of Pinkie?"

"Oh, you mean Pinkamena?" Golden Heart asks Rainbow with a chuckle. "Not to worry, she's practically harmless."

"Just part of the test to keep your guards up," Pinkamena exclaims happily. "I am from another reality which is too long to explain in this AU fic."

"Hey, that's a coincidence! My name's Pinkamena, too! Of course, I usually prefer being called Pinkie." Pinkie said.

"Weird, weirdie, but fun, fun, fun," Pinkamena exclaims with a giggle. "Sorry that we gave you the scare; Just testing." 

"It's okay!" Pinkie said happily.

Celestia clears her throat while getting her students' attention, "Well, then, you have to learn to defend yourselves. Now it's time for the offensive...fighting back."

"Finally, some flank kicking!" Rainbow exclaims eagerly.

"Wait, would we be fighting you two...or Golden Heart?" Fluttershy ask nervously, fearing that she isn't enough to fight against experienced alicorns.

"No, you all will be confronting...each other." Luna explains, much to the alicorn's surprise.

"WHAT," The Mane 6 asked in shock as they all looked at each other. They have to fight each other?!

"No worries, none of you will be using lethal spells. Just spells to knock each other down." Celestia assures the alicorns with a chuckle.

"Right, we aren't aiming to kill anyone here." Golden Heart remarks in agreement. "We will pair you girls off. Let's see...Fluttershy and...Rainbow Dash."

"Eep," Fluttershy squeaked.

"Come on, Fluttershy. You must learn to stand up for yourselves, even against your friends." Rarity insists while pushing Fluttershy forward. "What if one day we fight an enemy we can't win against?"

"Well...I guess I can give it my try." Fluttershy squeaks as she moves up to stand into position.

"Try not 'ta be too hard on her, Rainbow." Twilight said to Rainbow sternly, wishing her friend not to be too hard on Fluttershy in the fighting.

"Don't worry, I won't." Rainbow said.

The two Alicorns stood in positions. Celestia request, "Now then, remember, knock your opponent down only. No lethal or major harms!"

"Take this!" Rainbow exclaims as she fires a blast at Fluttershy, who yelps and uses a spell to block it.

"Rainbow Dash," Spike exclaims to Rainbow in annoyance.

"What? I wasn't going to harm her!" Rainbow protests to Spike innocently.

"Err, okay...uh..." Fluttershy focuses and fires a spell, which went so quickly that it knocks Rainbow down to the ground, "Oh my. Are you okay, Rainbow Dash?"

"Am I okay?! Fluttershy, that was awesome!" Rainbow exclaimed in amazement.

"Wow, you did good, Fluttershy!" Spike cheers on, making Fluttershy blush a bit.

"All right, let's do it again." Luna advises as Rainbow got back up. "Only this time, Rainbow shall try to defend herself from your attack."

"Oh, I don't know if I want to do it again." Fluttershy said meekly, fearing the worst. "Is that any part of the training that doesn't involve attacking?"

"Well, I hate to do this Fluttershy but I got no choice." Rainbow said while clearing her throat. She then speaks in a mocking voice, "Fluttershy can hardly fly, Fluttershy can hardly fly, Fluttershy can hardly fly!"

Hearing this got Fluttershy angry and a bit hurt. "That... big... dumb... MEANIE," She yelled in anger before launching a blast at Rainbow, knocking her down to the ground.

"Whoa!" The other ponies exclaims in surprise.

"Have Fluttershy ever been this angry?" Twilight ask her friends in concern.

"Not normally, but whenever she is, she got something called the Stare." Pinkie explains to Twilight happily. "It's like having the devil stare right into you."

"Very good, very good," Rainbow said with a chuckle as she got back up, "Oh, sorry about the 'hardly fly' part. I just needed a way to get you riled up. No hard feelings, right?"

"Oh..." Fluttershy said, calming down, realizing that her friend was only pretending to tease her just to get her riled up. "That's okay."

"When angered or when your friends are in trouble, you will have the inspiration needed to fight back." Celestia explains to Fluttershy gently. "Remember, fight only to protect yourself or others, not to cause street fights."

"Right," Fluttershy nodded.

"And Rainbow Dash; while using technique is a good motivation tool, it's best not to push it." Celestia explains to Rainbow calmly. "The last thing you want is to push your friend too far into being...not like herself."

"Right," Rainbow said with a chuckle.

"Okay, next up...Applejack...and Rarity." Luna said, selecting the next two alicorns to square off.

The two alicorns in question walked up before getting into dueling position.

"All right, this oughta be good." Spike said with a grin as he ate some snacks. Seeing the mare that he's liking fight off another friend.

"May the contest begin," Luna exclaims sternly.

"Honestly, I am not into these kinds of barbaric fights. I am simply..." Rarity was cut off as Applejack fires a fireball past her, causing her mane to be a mess, much to her horror, "AHHHHHH!"

"Ah dunno, 'dat is a new look fer yew." Applejack remarks to Rarity with a mischievous grin.

"It...is...ON!" Rarity shouted before launching a magic blast at Applejack.

Applejack blocks the attack with her shield then fires a blast at Rarity who deflects it. Her friends and Spike cheers her on.

"Yeah, go for it! Go...oh dear, who do I root for?" Fluttershy ask her friends not fighting, worried as to whom to root for.

"Who cares? Just cheer for both!" Rainbow laughs as the duel goes on. Both ponies fling a spell and reflect it back.

"Ah like 'dis! It's like playing a game o' paddle ball!" Applejack jokes a bit while reflecting the next shot.

Rarity gave a mischievous smirk and bounces the next shot a bit different. This time Applejack miss, the shot hits her on the mane. When it's clear, Applejack's mane is in the same style as Rarity's.

"Now we're even, darling." Rarity chuckles a bit to Applejack using her magic to bring in a mirror, showing AJ's reflection in it.

"AAH!! Mah mane," Applejack screamed in shock.

"I don't know; it's a good look for you." Rarity jokes, mocking what Applejack has said to her before.

Applejack glares at Rarity then fires a spell, hitting her in the face. The mare now got a mustache on it.

"Shucks, looks like yew found a new way 'ta attract colts." Applejack chuckles a bit at Rarity. "Or mares in 'dis case."

"Oh, yeah," Rarity shouted before hit Applejack with another spell.

Applejack got hit…and is turned into a stallion. Rainbow gasps, "Whoa! I don't know why but I find Applejack cute for some reason!"

"Oh...my," Fluttershy said with a blush.

"Err, Applejack? Don't get this the wrong way...but you're a hunk." Pinkie remarks with a playful giggles. Even the Princesses giggle at Applejack's new form.

"Yew dirty mule," Applejack shouted in a male voice before she hit Rarity with another spell.

Rarity yelps as she was turned into a mule. Rainbow laughs as she fell to her side. Rarity scowls as she fires another spell. The bystanders move out of the way as both sides fires spells at one another.

"Okay, okay, ENOUGH! Cool it down, you two!" Golden Heart exclaims as both sides cease fire.

Soon Applejack and Rarity...are turned into filly alicorns, both of them are panting. Spike said, "Wow. Who is which now?"

"It's still me, Spike." Rarity remarks to Spike in a filly voice. Just then, Applejack trots up to her. "What? Want to charge at me?"

Applejack smirks...then hugs Rarity, much to her surprise. The mare exclaims, "Hoo doggy! 'Dat's a first time someone like yew has done gotten 'de best of me; 'Dat's respect in mah book!"

Rarity blinked a bit then smiled as she hugged right back, saying, "Why, thank you, darling. You aren't so bad yourself."

"Yeah, you look good, Rarity!" Spike is heard cheering. The ponies gasp and laugh as they see Spike...now a handsome stallion. Rarity must've hit him by accident during the magic flinging.

"Oh my, Spike...you look handsome." Rarity said with a giggle while blushing a bit.

"Really; Wow, thanks, Rarity; I didn't think you would notice." Spike said, blushing a bit; Looks like he has a chance with Rarity after all.

"Okay, I think it's time for the next duel." Celestia giggles as she uses her own magic to changes Rarity, Applejack and Spike back to normal, much to the disappointment of the restored baby dragon.

"Awww, man; I was getting used to being a stallion!" Spike pouts a bit.

"Spike, you just met her a while ago." Twilight explains to Spike calmly. "Just wait a while. You may get your chance."

"Yeah, kid. It's kinda sudden." Rainbow added.

"All righty, I believe I will choose the next round of fighters. My faithful student..." Celestia said as Twilight trots up, "And to make things interesting, Pinkie Pie."

Pinkie bounces in, smiling as she said, "Goodie; can't wait to have fun fun FUN!"

"Well, this oughta be interesting." Twilight mumbles to herself as she and Pinkie got into positions for a duel.

"All right, may the duel begin," Luna exclaims as the next duel begins. Twilight glares at Pinkie, preparing to think up something.

The mare then nods as she fires a simple spell at Pinkie...whose bounces a bit then moves to dodge. Twilight frowns as she quickly fire another spell at her but the pink pony kept dodging each one as if she knew what was coming.

"Ugh! Stop dodging and defend!" Twilight exclaims to Pinkie in frustration.

"Oh, I am defending!" Pinkie exclaims happily as she bounces a bit while moving her head around in a clock like matter somehow. "See? This is how I defend with my Pinkie Sense!"

"Pinkie what?"

"Oooooh! Right, you're new to Ponyville. My Pinkie Sense is like my warning system! And when my Pinkie Sense goes off, you ponies better listen."

"She's right." Applejack said to Twilight in concern. "'Dat's how we avoided getting hurt whenever her Pinkie Sense done goes off."

Pinkie's tail twitches a bit while she says, "Oh! My tail's twitching, my tail's twitching!" Some of the Ponyville gasps and heads for cover, much to Twilight's confusion.

"What are..." Twilight yelps as a familiar shot hits the pony, knocking her to the ground. "Ouch!"

"Oopsie! I must've missed a shot when I was firing earlier!" Pinkamena exclaims as Goldie sighs a bit.

"When my tail is twitching, that means stuff is falling!" Pinkie explains happily as Twilight got back up. "That is why I was bouncing, it allows me to show which way you're firing your spells."

"Ugh, thanks." Twilight groans a bit. "Are you sure it isn't because of your alicorn powers?"

"No way! I got my Pinkie Sense long before I became an alicorn, silly filly!" Pinkie yelps as her noses itches, "Uh oh, itchy nose."

Twilight yelps as a swarm of bees attack her, causing the mare to trot around like mad. Celestia giggles as she uses her magic to get rid of the bees. The alicorn remarks, "One rule: always listen to your friends. What they say may not make sense but it helps to do so for it will be helpful later on."

"Thanks." Twilight remarks while recovering to confront Pinkie. "Listen, why don't we continue this duel? And promise to defend or give me a chance to get some points."

"Okie dokie lokie," Pinkie exclaims happily as the duel thing continues onward.

Each time Twilight fires some spells as Pinkie defends or get knocks down by some. Each time, the former unicorn picks up what Pinkie Sense stuff shows what happens from opened doors to holes in the ground to sneak attacks.

Twilight fires a spell at Pinkie which knocks her to the ground. The mare grins while announcing, "Looks like I got one up on you, Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie got up then blows up like a balloon, bouncing around like mad. "Okay, what Pinkie Sense is that one?"

"Nothing! I feel like doing it!" Pinkie exclaims happily as she deflates herself before landing gently onto the ground. The mare's horn glows like mad, making her gasp. "Uh oh..."

"What Pinkie Sense is that one?"

"I don't know! It’s never done this before! This must be a whole new Pinkie Sense as if we're about to do something cool and unexpected!"

Twilight yelps as her horn glows which send a rainbow into the air. Pinkie's horn does the same thing, making another rainbow! The others, including the oldest alicorns, looks amazed and awe as two rainbows appear in the sky, wrapping around in a cool and expected kind of way.

"Impressive, nice work, girls," Golden Heart comments as the two rainbow disappears from sight. "That is cool and unexpected."

"Wow! Did you see that? We were like BOOM! And then rainbow and wowie!" Pinkie giggles as she hugs Twilight who smiles a bit. The mare hiccups a bit and backs away. "Yikes!"

"What now?" Twilight ask her friend, wondering what Pinkie Sense goes off this time. A lightning bolt appears and almost hits the alicorn, making her yelp. "Okay! Close one. Nice..."

As the ponies continue on, none of them saw a shadowy figure on a hill nearby watching. He chuckles to himself in amusement, "The princesses' students are doing well...but soon they will face the final part of their test..."

With that, the old stallion disappears as soon as he appears, preparing for when the final part of the training will begin...

Chapter 4: Speed and Gold


The new alicorns work for hours or so, practicing on their magic, some duel each other more than once and some flop. But Twilight and her friends kept on plugging away, determined to do their best to pass the unicorn part of the training.

It was an hour that Celestia spoke up, saying, "All right, while the unicorn training isn't over yet, I think we will put it off for now for the next part."

"As in the Pegasus part of the test," Twilight ask Celestia curiously, knowing that could be the case.

"Correct."

"Oh yeah, finally, some flying!" Rainbow exclaims excitedly, she can't wait to do some flying again. The ropes are magically removed, freeing the wings, but the collars are put back around the neck, preventing the new alicorns from using their magic. "Oh man!"

"To start things off..." Luna said as she uses her magic to make hoops appear. "Pass through these hoops. Rainbow Dash; If you can so kind..."

"No problem!"

Rainbow flew into the air and pass through the hoops with ease. The others watch in amazement or amusement. Spike comments, "Well, even when Rainbow Dash isn't clearing clouds, she is passing through hoops like a trained Wonderbolt."

"Yes, that is what she wanted." Twilight comments a bit while nodding, a bit proud of her friend. Rainbow lands on the ground after she's done, "Very good work."

"Thanks, Twilight! Nothing but hoops," Rainbow exclaims with a proud look on her face.

"All right, you ponies shall go through the hoops one by one." Celestia said with a nod, preparing for this part of the test. "Rarity, we shall start with you."

"Me?" Rarity gasps a bit to Celestia, a bit concerned by what the alicorn is asking her to do. "Your majesty, not to be rude, but I can't go through those kinds of hoops like Rainbow just did."

"Believe in yourself, Rarity. It takes more than speed to make it through them. It also takes determination and friendship."

"Yeah, you made it through the unicorn part like Fluttershy did!" Pinkie exclaims happily while patting Rarity on the back. "You can do this one."

"Yeah, I believe in you too, Rarity." Spike said, blushing a bit while making Rarity smile a bit.

"Thank you, Spike. Princesses, I shall give this my best." Rarity said with a slight giggle as she flew up into the air. The other alicorns watch their friend head to the hoops; Now to see if their friend has the confidence to do this.

The group watch impressed as Rarity flew through the hoops very impressed. Pinkamena exclaims, "Wow! She is Super Duper great!"

"Yeah, I know!" Pinkie exclaims to her double eagerly.

"Yeehaw; Yer're doing it, Rare!" Applejack exclaims to Rarity with a grin; Looks like her fashion friend is turning into a class flyer like Rainbow Dash is.

"Well?" Rarity ask as she got the hoops done, landing near everyone. "How did I do?"

"Very good, Rarity," Celestia said to Rarity proudly. "You did very good on your first try."

"Why, thank you, your majesty."

"Okay, Applejack, you're up next..."

In a cave somewhere in the Everfree Forest, an unknown figure pauses to think about what has happened: Twilight Sparkle and her friends are now alicorns, powerful demi-god like creatures. This may be a problem for when he tries to take Equestria or avenge someone close to him.

"How am I supposed to stop Twilight when she's an alicorn now?" The figure asks with an annoyed sigh. "I have been planning for years for my wrath...but with this happening, I may as well call it quits now."

"Oh, now, why must you be wishing revenge, Lorcan?" A voice spoke out, causing the figure known as Lorcan to jump in surprise. He turns and saw someone in the shadows, staring. A closer look cause the dragon to identify him, much to his surprise.

"You; But how can you still be..."

"Sssh; doesn't matter. What is this, your brother known as Spike isn't dead as you thought him to be."

"That's a lie!" Lorcan exclaims to the figure furiously and in denial. "I have heard the guards saying that Twilight blew him up!"

The figure chuckles while continuing, "Did they mean 'blew him up' in an explosive like way...or something else?" Lorcan didn't answer; he was a bit...silent. "There, you see? You jumped to conclusions because you believe that someone that you cared about is responsible for a loss."

"But that blasted princess took Spike away many years ago when the war with my father was over! I wanted payback for it and everything!!"

"I see...well, if you wish, I could help you with that...but at the same time, you can help me."

"Oh really? Give me a break, how can you help me when I know that you aren't the evil type?" Lorcan scoffs to the figure in annoyance. "How do I know that you aren't going to backstab me when it's over?"

"My friend...in the end, you will understand how vengeance isn't the answer." The figure explains to Lorcan sternly who listens in concern. "I shall help you but may not help you succeed. At the same time, you shall help me help Equestria's newest alicorns..."

"How; what do you mean?"

"Oh yes yes yes yes yes!" Twilight giggles as she flew through the hoops like a pro, landing near her friends in triumph.

"You did wonderfully, Twilight! Like a true Pegasus pony!" Fluttershy exclaims as she and the others gather around to congratulate Twilight for making it through the hoops.

"If I didn't know any better, I say you are on true Pegasi." Rainbow laughs to Twilight, grabbing her friend in a hold and putting the mare into a noogie.

"You were awesome, Twilight." Spike said with a smile then frowns at himself, "Oh man, I wish I could sprout wings so I can join you girls in the skies; really unfair to be grounded."

"Spike, I promise, someday you can fly." Twilight assures her little 'brother' while hugging Spike.

"You really think so?"

"Sure, would I lie? Wait; try not to answer that because I may not recall lying at some point."

"Shucks, yew probably won't be a lil' feller forever." Applejack giggles as she pats Spike on the back. "Hay, Ah wouldn't be plum surprised if yew git yer wings in a few wings or so."

"Right, and wouldn't I be happy to see that day." Rarity said, making Spike blush a bit. "Just don't grow up too fast, okay?"

"No problem, Rare." Spike remarks with a chuckle, thinking about how cool it will be once he can fly at last.

"Now then, if I may do this next part of the test..." Golden Heart announces to the new alicorns with a grin. "This will involving chasing but will also involves speed, determination and teamwork; Pinkamena?"

"Gold Wing, come!" Pinkamena calls out to the side as if summoning something. The ponies are surprised as a golden like phoenix flew into the air, flying around before landing on her hoof.

"Wow! Is that a phoenix?" Twilight ask Pinkamena and Golden Heart in amazement.

"Yep; this is Gold Wing, our phoenix pal!"

"Your task is that you must catch him...but Gold Wing is swift, cunning and agile so it will take more than alicorn wing power to do so." Golden Heart explains with a smirk, "Gold Wing! Fly off!"

Gold Wing flew off quickly. Rainbow smirks as she tries to get him but the phoenix was too fast, flying away from her as he flew off in another direction. The cyan groan, "Oh horse apples!"

"Told you, didn't I?"

"Well, come on, let's get him!"

"Oh it is so on!" Rarity laughs as she and the other new alicorns flew into the air to join Rainbow in chasing Gold Wing who flew off quickly. The chase is on!

"Spike, climb on my back, you would want to see this." Celestia offers to Spike who climbs onto the Goddess of the Sun's back. Pinkamena got onto Golden Heart's back as the ponies and dragon flew into the air. The chase is on!

Gold Wing continues flying off with the alicorns in hot pursue. Rainbow smirks while saying to Applejack, "Hey Applejack! Betcha 10 apples that I will get to that phoenix before you do!"

"Yer on, Rainbow," Applejack said with a smirk.

"Come on, girls, this is about teamwork, not a race." Twilight calls out to Rainbow and Twilight in concern.

"Awww, lighten up, Twiley, this is fun!" Pinkie exclaims while flying around chasing Gold Wing. "You are so much into those books; you don't know how to have fun anymore!"

"Right, lighten up, have some fun once in a while!" Rarity exclaims to Twilight with a grin.

The alicorns flew over, reaching an canyon. Fluttershy yelps as wind currents blew her back, "Oh dear! These wind currents are strong!"

"Be careful, my little ponies!" Celestia calls out to the new alicorns. "The wind currents hare strong."

"No problem! We can do this!" Rainbow exclaims as she flew forward but the mare yelps as large rocks got blown off the walls, sending them at her. Rainbow dodges. "Whoa! Close one!"

"The idea is to get past strong winds and unexpected attacks from out of the blue!" Golden Heart calls out in agreement.

"Better find a way, Gold Wing is waiting." Pinkamena giggles. Gold Wing is on the other side of the canyon, waiting for the alicorns to continue chasing him.

"How 'de hay are we supposed 'ta git by 'dis?" Applejack exclaims as the wind currents kept pushing her back.

"Just do your best!" Spike calls out to the ponies.

"Ponies, we gotta work together...grab my tail!" Rainbow exclaims to her friends with a grin.

"Err; you know that Spike is watching, right?" Fluttershy asked Rainbow uneasily.

"I mean grab my tail in an idea kinda way, Fluttershy!" Rainbow corrects Fluttershy with an annoyed sigh.

"Oh." Fluttershy said sheepishly before she grabbed Rainbow's tail.

"Now, ponies, grab on one another's tail!" Rainbow exclaims. Twilight grabs Fluttershy's tail, Pinkie grabs Twilight's, Applejack grabs Pinkie Pie's tail and Rarity is the last. "Okay, hang on and use your wing wind power, we need to gun this!"

The ponies held on and uses their wing wind power as Rainbow flew right through the canyon. Their combination made it better to get through the currents and dodging the rocks. Soon, they all made it to the other side.

"Oh yeah, cool! You did it!" Spike cheers on while watching the ponies with a grin.

"Wow! That was amazing!" Rarity exclaimed.

The ponies release one another as Twilight exclaims, "There goes Gold Wing! Follow that bird!"

"Ooh, ooh, title reference, title reference to another franchise!" Pinkie exclaims with a happy giggle.

The other alicorns chose to ignore their friend's usual randomness, laughing as they chase Gold Wing into a new area. They appear to be getting closer...

"Whoa, what's that?" Rainbow asks in surprise as they enter a new area that is full with tornadoes! There are thin ones, medium ones, even BIG ONES!

Gold Wing dodges the tornadoes with ease. Luna calls out, "Be wary, ponies! Those tornadoes have such suction force, if not is not careful in how to maneuver in them, you may get sucked in or even thrown out uncontrollably.

"Oooh, I thought they look familiar! These are easy for us former Pegasi!" Rainbow exclaims eagerly. She then saw Fluttershy yelping and flying to hide behind some rocks, "Fluttershy!"

"I'm sorry, those are scary." Fluttershy said with a whimper.

"Come on, Fluttershy, you can do with this." Twilight said to Fluttershy in encouragement. "We are right here if you need some help with the tornadoes."

"Well, okay." Fluttershy said meekly yet still worried. "But I don't know how we will get by these tornadoes."

"Oh, tornadoes are easy! Watch an expert like so!" Pinkie giggles as she begins flying. Her friends watch as the pink alicorn flew around the tornadoes while singing, "You spin my head right around, right around, when you go down, when you go down, down!" 

The alicorns, even the oldest ones, look amazed. Pinkie, making it to the other side, calls out, "Come on, my fellow alicorns; Do what I do! Try not to get sucked in or thrown out!"

"Okay." Fluttershy said nervously with a gulp.

"Fluttershy, I am right here next to you." Twilight said to Fluttershy, patting her with a wing. "Call me your wing buddy if you need help."

Fluttershy nodded and then took a deep breath before she flew off as she started singing the song and got around the tornadoes, much to her own surprise.

The other ponies laugh as they sing the song, flying around the tornadoes while being careful to avoid getting sucked in. The Royal Sisters, Golden Heart, Pinkamena and Spike watch this in interest.

"Ha ha ha; that looks like fun, laughing and singing in the face of terror!" Pinkamena giggles a bit at the scene.

"Yes, it appears these alicorns got their Pegasus training licked." Luna said in amusement. "But will they catch Gold Wing?"

"If they can learn to to work together and such...than perhaps they may." Celestia answers her sister's question gently.

Gold Wing kept on flying up ahead; the new alicorns do their best to catch up.

"Ugh! This is crazy. We have gotten through wind and tornados but still this guy is ahead of us!" Rainbow exclaims in annoyance as she flap her wings harder.

"Twilight, do yew got any ideas on how 'ta catch him?" Applejack asks Twilight in concern.

"And without hurting the poor golden birdie," Fluttershy ask Twilight meekly while in agreement with the cow alicorn. The other ponies are willing to do what it takes to catch that bird now.

Twilight do some thinking then glances at Gold Wing's movements. The mare then grins, saying, "Yes, I do got an idea. We won't be using speed to get in front of Gold Wing but to copy his movement."

"Do what? Copy what?" Pinkie asks, unsure as to what Twilight was referring to.

"Just do what I do!"

Twilight begins copying Gold Wing's movement; her friends got the idea and follows along, copying the movements. For a moment, nothing appears to be happening.

"Now," Rarity asks Twilight anxiously.

"Not yet..." Twilight advises her friends as the alicorns are getting to their target: Gold Wing himself.

"Now," Fluttershy ask Twilight meekly.

"Not, not yet...NOW!"

The new alicorn ponies use all their speed at once and soon catch up with Gold Wing. Pinkie grins as she tags the phoenix, startling it. The mare jokes, "Tag, we win. We caught up."

"Pinkie Pie, you are so random." Rainbow giggles to Pinkie in amusement. Everyone slows down as they all land on the ground below. "Still, we did it!"

"HEEHAW! We done caught up wit' yew!" Applejack exclaims to Gold Wing who flew around, making happy noises. "Yew are happy."

"Oh, I hope to see something like you at another time." Fluttershy giggles as she pets Gold Wing gently.

"The princess does has a phoenix of her own named Philomena." Twilight explains to Fluttershy with a smile. "Who knows? You may."

"Wow! You girls are awesome!" Spike exclaims eagerly on Celestia's back as the alicorns lands on the ground. "You caught him!"

"Nice work girls and you too, Gold Wing." Golden Heart said to Gold Wing who screeches a bit while flying over to a tree to get something to eat. "I gotta admit, it usually take days to catch up with him but you did it within hours."

"Well, shoot, thanks, Golden Heart." Applejack responds to Golden Heart with a grin on her face.

"So did we pass the Pegasus part?" Twilight ask the Royal Sisters hopefully.

"Yes, you did." Celestia said with a proud smile. "Of course, your training is not halfway done. You may have to redemonstrate what you learnt in the parts."

"But fear not, my little ponies. Soon you will have what it takes to be true alicorn princesses." Luna assures the new alicorns with a nod. "Do not work: work together, help one another, friendship is the key to completing the training."

"Well, it helped us save you from your Nightmare Moon self." Pinkie remarks to Luna while bouncing up and down, "Hay, who knows? We may surprise you...even I can surprise myself, which is surprisingly because I love to surprise myself which is..."

"We get it, Pinkie." Most of her friends interrupt Pinkie while they all laugh at once.

The ponies and dragon decides on taking a break for a while to celebrate the new alicorns' completion of the Pegasus part of the training. They got a while to go but the six mares will make it there. Unknown to everyone, the figure and Lorcan are watching on a cliff nearby...the dragon's eyes widen as he saw a familiar baby one hugging Twilight.

"Is that..." Lorcan begins to ask, he is trembling a bit in shock yet hope.

"Yes. It's the one you lost, my friend." The figure said with a slight nod.

"Have she told him about me? I don't think he did; why would my brother hang out with the same ones that took him and our mother away?!"

"The ponies aren't your real enemies, my friend. They are nice and helpful in some ways. Your father did what he did out of grief and anger."

"Doesn't matter," Lorcan said with a sigh. "If Twilight hasn't told Spike about me, I shall punish her in my way. And you aren't going to stop me, you old colt!"

"Perhaps not, I could help in some way...but not to destroy them. No, their hardest training is yet to come...and at the same time, by helping them, you can help yourself." The figure explains to Lorcan with a slight chuckle. It seems like whoever this 'old colt' is, wishes for Lorcan to help the fillies in their hardest part of their training in their own way, but at the same time he can also help himself.

"What? Help me with what?"

Chapter 5: The Final Part


Days passed on (or maybe hours) in the Infinite Realm. The new alicorns have to go through parts of their training again, going through being Earth ponies, unicorns, and/or Pegasi all over again. But although some has messed up, Twilight and her good friends kept on plugging away; And each time, the ponies are doing better and better than before.

The princesses, Golden Heart, Pinkamena and even Spike watch as the ponies duel one another in playful battle. Spike remarks, "Cool, Twilight and the others are doing well."

"Yeah, they are Super Duper fun!" Pinkamena exclaims with a creepy smile.

"I gotta admit, they have come far for when they first got here." Luna said impressed. "They have outdone themselves in all parts of the training."

"All but one, sister," Celestia said seriously. Luna knows what her sister means by that. "The final and most hardest part of them all."

"Yes...if they can complete and survive that, then the Elements of Harmony are indeed ready to be alicorn princesses at all."

"'Survive'?" Spike yelps in concern upon hearing what Luna just said. "W...what do you mean?"

"You will know well in time, Spike." Golden Heart said to Spike, using a wing to pat the baby dragon on the head. "For now, let's keep this on the hush-hush."

"Yes, as in ssssssh!" Pinkamena chuckles while shushing Spike a bit. Despite the reassuration, the baby dragon is still worried. To beat the final part of the alicorn test, Twilight and her friends may have to put their own selves at risk!

The new alicorns laugh as they gotten into a pile-on, piling right onto the ground. Twilight laughs, "Okay, I gotta admit, that was fun."

"See, Twilight?" Applejack ask Twilight with a smile. "It's good 'ta have a lil' ol' fun."

"Right, but reading can be fun too."

"Yeah, if you like being distracted from life," Rainbow remarks with a scoff. "So what do you girls think will happen once we go home?"

"I'm not sure." Twilight said thoughtfully. That thought never occurred to her until now. "I am thinking that the princesses may give us something to work with. Celestia controls the day, Luna controls the night and my old foalsitter Cadance deals with love. What's left for us?"

"That's easy! We are the Elements of Harmony!" Pinkie explains to Twilight happily. "So we can be the alicorns of what we represent."

"Please explain."

"Ah done think Ah know what's Pinkie Pie's on about." Applejack said with a smile. "Since we done represent 'de Elements o' Harmony, we can be alicorns o' what we represent. Ah is Honesty..."

"And I will be the Alicorn of Kindness." Fluttershy said gently, "Oh, and maybe some animals too."

"And I will be the Alicorn of Laughter!" Pinkie laughs as she made confetti fall from...someplace. Who knows how that mare does it?

"I will be the Alicorn of Generosity...of course I will still make clothes for all of my friends and fellow ponies." Rarity said gently while giving out some socks for Twilight to wear, "For you."

"Me? Alicorn of Loyalty big time," Rainbow, flying while on her back, say with a smile while eating some nuts, "So how about you egghead?"

"I will still be the librarian...but being the Alicorn of Magic does sound like a catchy title." Twilight said to her friends with a smile. "I guess this explains why we were all chosen to be the Elements of Harmony because being alicorn must be our destinies..."

"Are you sure it isn't forced onto us?" Pinkie asks Twilight as she pops up all of the sudden. "I mean, in the season 3 finale of our show, ponies complaint about how being an alicorn was forced onto you and stuff and..."

"Pinkie Pie."

"What?"

"Well, my students, the time have come." Celestia announces as she and the other alicorns, with Spike and Pinkamena riding before climbing down. "The last part of your test will soon arrive."

"So our training is almost over? And we will go home soon?" Fluttershy ask Celestia hopefully. "I mean, not that I hate this place. It's nice but I miss all my animal friends."

"We will be leaving the Infinite Realm soon. Luna, if you please?"

Princess Luna's eyes glow as her horn then throw out a zap, making a portal appears. Golden Heart bows down while saying, "Royal Princesses first...with that I mean the Royal Sisters."

"You are too kind, Golden Heart." Luna said as she and Celestia pass through the portal heading on back to Equestria apparently. "Elements of Harmony, we will be waiting for you to escape later."

"Wait for me!" Pinkamena laughs madly as she jumps through the portal after the Royal Sisters, Gold Wing flies in soon after. Golden Hearts laughs, shaking his head as he follows them.

"Can you believe it? We are going home for the final part." Rainbow said to her friends with a grin. "Are you excited?"

"Ooh, ooh, I am sooooo excited; I can't wait to throw parties for all of Equestria!" Pinkie exclaims, flapping upward with her wings. The princesses has removed the device and allows the girls used of their wings earlier.

Spike laughs while saying, "Come on, let’s go home."

"Yes, let's..." Twilight was cut off as the whole realm begins to shakes, the alicorns and Spike almost fell to their butts/flanks, "What the hay?!"

The portal shakes a bit and then collapses; Rarity gasps, "On no; our portal home!"

"Hoo doggy, 'dis place is falling apart!" Applejack exclaims in shock and worry. Sure enough, the Infinite Realm appears to be falling apart as if everything is collapsing into darkness. "Yew thinks Nightmare Moon is done coming back?"

"It can't be. We saved Luna!" Twilight reminds Applejack frantically.

"LOOK OUT!" Spike screams. He and the alicorns duck in time to dodge a ship that almost cut their heads off. "What is that?!"

"I don't know, but I got a feeling that whoever is behind this shaking and rolling is on that ship; Time to fly!"

Twilight uses her magic to get Spike onto his back before the alicorns flew up. And just in time as the whole Infinite Realm ground collapses soon after. The six (with the baby dragon) flew after the ship that fire out energy blasts after them. They move around, dodging the attack.

"Watch it, Flutter!" Rainbow exclaims as she pulls Fluttershy out of the way from a shot in time.

"Thanks, Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy said with a nod.

"Wait until I get my hooves on whoever is attacking us."

Rainbow may not have to wait for long as they lands right onto the ship. The seven find a figure in a cloak waiting for them in a throne room. He nods while saying, "Ah, welcome, Elements of Harmony. At last we meet."

"Who are you?! Why are you attacking us," Twilight demands to the figure sternly. "Did you do something to the princesses?!"

"Oh, Twilight Sparkle. You are just the way you are when I first met you."

"What?" Rarity asks in confusion before turning to Twilight. "Twilight, do you know this ruffian?"

"Oh, she did...she just met me...under a new face!" The figure taunts as he got his hood removed...Twilight gasps as she saw a familiar dragon face underneath it.

"You," Twilight exclaims furiously as she recognizes the one whom the mare knows all too well...from years ago, "You."

"Twilight Sparkle, it has been years since I met you and your little brother. BTW, did you tell Spike about me yet?"

"Little brother; and when the hay was I brought into this?!" Spike demands more than he asked, a bit more confused yet curious.

"You didn't? I'm disappointed...this will make me destroying more BETTER!" Lorcan yells out madly as he stood up and got two swords out, "En guarde!"

"Gah, I hate fancy words!" Pinkie Pie groans as the alicorns prepares themselves for their big battle.

"Bring it on, bub!" Rainbow shouted in determination.

Lorcan snarls as he swings around slashing at the ponies who uses their shields to block. Applejack headbutts him and hits him with a blast.

"Okay, why is yew wanting 'ta go after Twilight fer?" Applejack snaps to Lorcan sternly.

"For revenge; she took my brother and lied to him!" Lorcan snaps to Applejack as he fires a blast at Pinkie who dodges it by flying.

"Brother? What brother?" Pinkie asks Lorcan puzzled.

"It's the one she now calls Spike, you dumb pony!" Lorcan snaps angrily.

"Hey! Nopony insults Pinkie like that, you oaf!" Rarity shouted.

"Wait, did she just call..." Fluttershy begins to say, realizing what Lorcan just mentioned.

"What," Spike gasps in shock and disbelief upon hearing that.

"You stole my brother and never told him about me, didn't you?!" Lorcan snaps at Twilight, pointing an accusing finger at her. The truth is revealed: Lorcan's Spike's brother!

"I have to to keep Spike safe from you!" Twilight yells angrily. "You killed my own baby brother!"

"He did what?!" Spike asked in shock while glaring at Lorcan.

"Doesn't matter because once I get my vengeance, I'm taking Spike away so I can begins my conquest on Equestria...the same thing started by our father Tadaka many years ago!" Lorcan announces.

"Not if our new training has anything to do with it." Rarity pronounces as the ponies work together to make a combination attack, hitting Lorcan to his throne.

"If you were my brother, you wouldn't be doing all those evil things, you monster!" Spike shouted.

"I had no choice! Ponies ruined my life!" Lorcan booms as he fires bolts onto the deck.

"Oh, you could've at least moved on, find new friends and..." Fluttershy was cut off as Lorcan kicks her in the face, sending her flying across the deck.

"Shut up, you bucking crybaby!" Lorcan exclaims sinisterly to Fluttershy who fell to the deck ground hard.

"Fluttershy." Rainbow cried.

"Crybaby," Fluttershy asked before she narrowed her eyes as she asked again angrily, "Crybaby?!" She then raised her head and glared at Lorcan with her eyes wide with rage, "DID YOU JUST CALL ME CRYBABY?.!.?.!"

"No, I called you 'Susan'." Lorcan remarks sarcastically then snaps, "Of course I called you a crybaby, you brat!"

"Okay, you can make threats, insults us, even fight us...BUT NO ONE HITS FLUTTERSHY LIKE THAT!!!!" Twilight exclaims furiously as she suddenly turns into a flaming horse.

"I just did, egghead." Lorcan remarked cruelly. But suddenly, he was grabbed from behind by a familiar yellow alicorn.

"DON'T YOU EVER CALL ME A CRYBABY; YOU BUCKING MONSTER!!!!" Fluttershy yelled really loudly into Lorcan's face while giving him the Stare.

"Oh, please, no, not that, don't torture me, please..." Lorcan cries out. For a moment, it looks like the dragon is in serious pain... but then, he laughs sinisterly as he kicks Fluttershy in the face before jumping away, "Ha ha ha ha; doesn't work on me, baby!"

Suddenly, Fluttershy appeared behind Lorcan with a teleportation spell and punched him across the face really hard, sending him flying.

"Then the new and improved Fluttershy will surely work on you!" Fluttershy shouted, "You make me lose, I blow my fuse!"

"Let us handle him as well." Rainbow said as he flew around, hitting Lorcan a few times. Twilight jumps back with her back feet, hitting the dragon with a few bucking like skills.

"Great work girls, the training in handling Earth and Unicorn abilities helped out here." Spike cheers on.

"Not to mention, a little Pegasus skills." Rainbow Dash remarks eagerly.

"Do you think such fibble attempts of mere small alicorn might can stop me?" Lorcan remarks angrily to the ponies.

"Buddy, it sure looks like it pum-done did!" Applejack taunts Lorcan right in his face.

"Hmph...then try...THIS!" Lorcan snarls, backing away as he is back to do something with his mouth

"Watch out, he's about to breaths fire!" Twilight warned the ponies as they and Spike braces themselves for the next attack.

Then before anypony knew it, Lorcan unleashed a might blaze of his flames from his mouth to the mares. But during the moment, the Mane Six cast barriers to shield themselves from the attack & Spike, before they were knocked off the ship and into the air before regaining their position.

"Oh dear, that was close." Fluttershy said in relief. That Lorcan has almost got them there

"Quickly, let’s re-board the ship!" Pinkie Pie exclaims eagerly.

"How foolish, perhaps it's time I show you...what this vessel of mine in the Infinite Realm...CAN TRULY DO!" Lorcan shouted evilly.

Then Lorcan let loose with emerald bolts to cover the ship, and slowly made the thing pulse with a strange life. But that was the breeze compared to the storm that approached next? For soon, the ship under gone a transformation to become larger, more hard scale structure, and more...figure taking of a dragon. Then the vessel ship became just like that, a serpent dragon with arms with wing spans and guard shields off the claw wrist. The newest creation roared so loudly, it shook the entire realm.

"Eeek; A huge, scary dragon," Fluttershy exclaims in gear and worry.

"Um, guys, I think our problems increased!" Pinkie Pie spoke in a scared kind of voice.

From behind the mares and Spike, a strange swirling vortex was dragging many things within the Infinite Realm. Whatever it was or whatever it was doing, one thing was clear, it wouldn't lead the mares & baby dragon back home.

"Meet my living vessel voyage; Lorcan’s Rage! And with it...comes your doom, PONIES!" Lorcan proclaimed forth, as his station was now on top of the dragon ship's forehead where he sat on his thrown...to watch the ponies prepare for their end at last. 

"Come on! Twilight exclaims as the alicorns flew in...all but Fluttershy who stays behind, in fear. "Fluttershy!"

"I can't....I can't..." Fluttersh said in worry.

"What's wrong wit' yew, girl?" Applejack ask Fluttershy in concern.

"I'm scared of huge dragons." Fluttershy explains to her friends in a whimper.

"But you weren't scared of me." Spike said to Fluttershy in concern.

"I know...but...you are small and those big nasty dragons are...mean." Fluttershy said with a whimper. "I don't wanna..."

"Fluttershy, it isn't a real dragon." Applejack explains to Fluttershy clearly. "It's a dang machine driven by one who is small."

"SHUT UP! I AM NOT SMALL!" Lorcan, who overheard this, yells out angrily from his ride.

"Plus, he called you a crybaby earlier. Are you going to let him get away with that?" Rainbow points out to Fluttershy, wanting to rile her friend up to encourage her.

Fluttershy, hearing that, snort furiously while yelling angrily, "NO!"

The alicorns, with Fluttershy now toughened up, flies after though has problem with lasers and the missiles that are fired at the girls.

"How are hay are we gonna stop that varmint if that thing keeps firing so many lasers and shootin' off them spiky missile points?" Applejack asks her friends with a frown.

"We have to use every bit of our training for this, girls." Twilight said in determination.

"Now prepare to die!" Lorcan exclaims madly.

"Die? You want die? Okay, here's your die!" Pinkie exclaims as she users her magic to throw a huge die at the robotic machine, hitting it hard. "There's your die!" 

"Nice shot, Pinkie!" Rainbow said, "Random, but nice!" 

"And you are sooooo unfashionable!" Rarity comments making hair spray appears, spraying right onto Lorcan. "You need a makeover!"

"Gah, no, I don't need a makeover!" Lorcan exclaims coughing like mad.

"An' this is fer hurting poor Starlight!" Applejack exclaims as she hits the machine with various kicks.

"And for calling Fluttershy a crybaby," Rainbow yells out as she flew in and kicks Lorcan to the deck floor. "I have been defending her since Flight School and no one makes fun of my best friends like that!!!" 

"You laugh at me, I wrath at you!" Fluttershy shouted at Lorcan before she kicked him in the back. 

"Gah, my back," Lorcan exclaims madly.

"All right, keep it up!" Twilight exclaims as she prepares her horn for a major glow. "I got one spell that can send this machine out of commission!"

"We're on it, Twilight!" Applejack shouted as she, Rainbow, Pinkie, Rarity and Fluttershy kept attacking Lorcan.

Twilight's horn glows brightly, she needs enough time for this. Lorcan snarls as he kicks off the ponies, yelling, "No one will stop me from getting my revenge!"

"No one but me," Spike snaps as he manages to get onto the ship and tackles Lorcan. "Give up!"

"Are you crazy, Spike?! Twilight and her teacher didn't tell you about me sooner, why are you defending the purple brat and her kind now?!" Lorcan demands angrily to Spike.

"Lorcan, if I found out a long time later, I would be mad...but as it is now, you are a murderer and a terrible brother." Spike said to Lorcan. "But give up now and we can start all over, be real brothers."

"You really expect me to get along with a bunch of dumb ponies?! You're crazy!" Lorcan shouted.

"No, I'm crazy!" Pinkie exclaims, wearing a pair of Grouchy Marx glasses which has spinning eyebrows. "And I should know!"

"Then you leave me no choice!" Spike snaps as he kicks Lorcan to a wall, sending him down hard.

"Okay, a few more seconds..." Twilight mumbles a bit. "Okay, there. All right, ponies and any dragons who don't want to get hit, move!!" 

The ponies and dragon got out of the way as Lorcan tries to recover just as Twilight fires a huge blast from her horn. The villain yelps as he ducks for cover.

The dragon machine got hit hard by the blast, becoming weakened. The ponies cheer onward with Rarity exclaiming, "Yes, we did it!"

"Oh yeah, you did it, Twilight!" Spike exclaims to Twilight with a smile.

Suddenly, the area begins shaken up as the pullage got stronger. Rainbow yelps, "Yikes; Looks like we're getting sucked in!"

The alicorns (with Spike holding onto Fluttershy) tries to get pulled in but soon everyone as well as Lorcan got pulled into the vortex.

A while later, the heroes find themselves in a new realm of twilight. Pinkie is the first to comment, "Spooky!"

"What is this place?" Spike asks in concern.

"The princess told me about this in privacy. This is...the Land of the Dead." Twilight explains to her friends grimly. 

"The Land of the D-D-Dead," Fluttershy asked fearfully. 

"Usually a place of limbo between the living and the dead; I wouldn't worry..." Twilight said trying to assure her friends.

"Unless Lorcan is here," Rainbow exclaims in alarm. Sure enough, there's Lorcan in his cloak, the dragon has survived the blast.

"I must confess, you ponies are doing better...but now is the time for your fun to end." Lorcan remarks madly as he throw his cloak off. Suddenly, the dragon transforms into a bigger, teenage version of himself. He begins to glow while uttering, "Anger and hate...are supreme!"

The boost of difference from before caught the alicorns off guard. Applejack exclaims, "Boy howdy! Looks like Spike's big brother had gotten a bit stronger."

"Eep," Fluttershy squeaked as she hid behind her friends in fear.

"And now, my little ponies, my wrath will begin and end you all right here!" Lorcan exclaims madly as he prepares himself for a final assault.

"Lorcan, please stop it!" Spike calls out to his brother in worry. "This shouldn't have to be this way!"

"It will end this way! I won't have a bunch of blasted ponies who just became alicorns ruined everything father has planned!" Lorcan exclaims more madly. "If I have to destroy you to save our world, then so be it!"

"Not if we have anything to say about it!" Twilight exclaims as she and the alicorns, even the worried Fluttershy, prepare themselves. "Lorcan, you’re planning and rampage ends today! Starlight will be avenged!!!"

"Not if father will be avenged first, pony!!!" Lorcan snapped.

The alicorns flew around, dodging Lorcan as he slashes at him. Rainbow calls out, "Twilight, quick! Use your attack again!"

"I already used enough energy in getting rid of his dragon machine. I may not have enough to take him down fully." Twilight explains a bit exhausted to Rainbow. "If I used too much, I will be dead."

"And dead you shall be!" Lorcan booms as he send out fire breath at her. Pinkie pushes Twilight out of the way then uses a fire hose from...who knows where to spray water onto the dragon, "Gah!"

"No one harms my friend, you big dumb meanie pants!" Pinkie remarks to Lorcan sternly.

"Let's see if you can get me when I'm more than one place at once!"

Lorcan then moves around, making it difficult for the ponies to focus on hitting him. For some, it appears to look that he is in more places than one. The dragon laughs evilly as he unleashes a storm of lasers that the heroes try to reflect that's almost non-stop to the point of exhaustion.

"Not sure how long we can keep 'dis up, sugarcube." Applejack said panting a bit. "'Dis big feller is tuckering us out."

"I know and I am usually so energetic." Pinkie remarks with a groan.

"Good, let's see how energetic you are!" Lorcan exclaims sternly as he fires a wave that hits the alicorn. Twilight is left standing but the other alicorns are taken down. "And thus, it's between you and me, Twilicorn..."

"This cannot be happening." Twilight said in worry. She and her friends are failing...and just when the mare started to learn how important friendship is to her. Twilight didn't even spend more life, she didn't even get a chance to get if Ben is still alive!

"Oh, it is. You have taken Spike from me...but I will avenge that once I take you down!!!"

"NO!" Spike exclaims as he jumps in and hits Lorcan in the stomach hard, causing the big brother to roar in pain. "I won't let you hit her. Even if she didn't tell me about you before, it's all because Twilight cares for me."

"Care or not, I will destroy all ponies, in the name of Tadaka!" Lorcan snarls as he swipes at Spike who dodges and hits him with a huge fire attack. "What's this?! How can you get a powerful attack and at a young age too!"

"Hey, when my friends and loved ones, especially my big sister Twilight and Rarity, are in danger...I don't know either but I will do whatever it takes to stop you once and for all!"

The two brothers quickly do their battle, with Spike getting the upper hand even though Lorcan slashes at him with the blades that came from out of nowhere. The baby dragon's determination to save those he cares for from a brother whom he never knew about until recently filled his mind. Twilight meanwhile tries her best to recover, but how? If she uses another attack like before, there goes all her energy.

"Use the Heal, little alicorn." A mysterious voice spoke up, getting Twilight's attention.

"What? Who's there?" Twilight ask, wondering who just spoke. It wasn't her friends, Spike or Lorcan. That voice appeared to have come from out of nowhere! Who could it be?

"I am...a friend. Alicorns has a healing power which they used but not all could remember this ability. Think harder, my little pony and your friendship will not let you down..."

The voice disappears as soon as it was heard. Twilight is not sure who it was but felt like she should trust it, if anything to stop Lorcan, save Spike and avenge Starlight. The mare closes her eyes and focus on the friendships that she has gotten ever since Twilight and Spike first came to Ponyville, her new friends, her family...and Ben Mare.

Suddenly the alicorns, even Twilight, begins to glow. The ones on the ground woke up as Fluttershy gasps, "Oh my! What's...what's happening?"

"Looks like I'm feeling better!" Rarity exclaims in amazement as she got up with her friends. "But how is this possible?"

"The voice was right, I did it!" Twilight exclaims with a smile. Her friends are back up on their hooves, the healing power has done its job!

"What voice? Did yew heal us?" Applejack asks Twilight in amazement. "An'...is 'dat Spike fighting?" The other alicorns look amazed as they saw Spike fighting off Lorcan...and is winning.

"That's him. And it's time we help him like he's helping us right now!"

"Spike, be reasonable. I did what I did to save you...because I care." Lorcan said as he flew up, firing lightning zaps at Spike who knocks them right back at him, causing the villain to scream in somewhat pain.

"So did Twilight but at least she wasn't trying to kill ponies as well as her own siblings like you are!" Spike remarks to Lorcan sternly. "And unless you stop your mad quest soon, you can kiss whatever brothership we got goodbye!"

"All right...goodbye." Lorcan then fires a zap at Spike, hitting the baby dragon and paralyzing him. "Sorry, little brother, but I will have to put you down for good to save you from the ponies..."

"Not if we put you down!" Twilight exclaims as she fires a familiar blast at Lorcan. The villain screams in pain as the attack hits him hard, knocking the dragon down. As Lorcan got up, the villain gapes as he saw the alicorns back up and with familiar accessories floating around them.

"No, this can't be...you are weakened! You all should've gone down by now!"

"One thing that you and Nightmare Moon have in common...and it's that you're easily overconfident."

"And you're both meanies!" Pinkie exclaims as the ponies begin focusing on their being of elements. "And no one likes meanies who wishes to harm others!"

"As long as we have our friendship, you will never win!" Rainbow remarks in determination to the alarmed Lorcan. "And trust me, without friendship, you got nothing!"

"Spike is our friend an' we're done going 'ta help him!" Applejack remarks with a nod.

"Yes, you have cause enough trouble for one day, you big brute." Rarity said in determination as the alicorns put their horns together. "And it's time to put you down."

"Yes...please." Fluttershy said gently. Well, not her best determination phrase but then again, this is a kind shy pony we're talking about here.

Soon the horns form a single pointing edged that fire off their strongest united force...which in term is the force of the Elements of Harmony in the beam of a rainbow. The attack hits Lorcan dead-on by his chest, a strange light flashes around him. He shows himself struggling his arms out, but can feel his dark hatred fading away from the body, and then lets up afterwards with an almost agony of silent pain before it all ends with a blinding light.

The alicorns glow a bit, their eyes appears to be doing the same as all went white...

Chapter 6: Final Passing


The folks in Canterlot are minding their own business, apparently not expecting a thing since the return of Luna as well as the fact that six ponies are now alicorns. Nothing seems unusual...unless you ignore the flash that appears. The citizens of Canterlot gasp and run off to avoid getting hurt or worst.

When the flash disappears, six familiar alicorns and one baby dragon appears. One of unicorns in the crowd, Boris, gasps in shock, "Twilight?!"

"We did it! We're back home!" Rarity exclaims happily.

"Or we're dead," Rainbow said while pinching herself and glancing at the ponies. "Nah, we're back home..."

"And in Canterlot too; we're here and..."

The ponies then spot a familiar dragon body nearby, not moving. It's Lorcan, the villain who was defeated. He makes a moan groan sound that alerts that he's not finished yet. Applejack yelps, "Hoo doggy, looks like Lorcan is still moving."

The ponies remain alert then they saw Lorcan turning his head, opening his one eye with the scar...but Fluttershy notices something for a split second, saying, "Girls...I think I notice something...a change from him."

"Wait, are you sure?" Spike asks Fluttershy hopefully. Could it be possible that his brother has finally been saved?

"Yes, I think the Elements must've done something to him..."

Lorcan groans a bit before losing conscious again, leaving many to ponder what is occurring. Rainbow frowns while saying, "This guy is too dangerous!"

"Yes, we should keep him somewhere where the meanie won't cause any killings!" Pinkie remarks in agreement.

"No, we got to end the dragon's evil tyranny for good!" Twilight exclaims with a frown. The teenaged dragon has caused too much trouble...even kill her brother Starlight. Lorcan has killed Starlight, so this is personal. "If we keep him locked up, who's to say that he won't escape and do so again? He must be given what was given to Tadaka!"

Applejack and Rarity nods in agreement, even Rainbow and Pinkie believes that Lorcan must be destroyed for good. But then, as the alicorns prepare for a final attack on him while the crowd watches on to see what's going to happen, Fluttershy yells out, "Wait!" She rushes over and blocks Lorcan from her friends.

"Fluttershy, are yew plum loco?" Applejack calls out to Fluttershy in surprise. "Move it!"

"No, please, listen to me! When we hit Lorcan with our last attack, it somehow changed him into good."

"Lorcan changed into good," Rainbow ask Fluttershy with a scoff of disbelief. "You're joking, right?"

"I like a joke but this isn't funny!" Pinkie remarks to Fluttershy in agreeing with Rainbow.

"Fluttershy is right; I don't think that she is joking." Spike said sternly. Twilight and the ones who wish to end Lorcan couldn't believe it. The baby dragon and Fluttershy are defending Lorcan all of the sudden?

"Please, listen! Lorcan may look bad back then when he was trying to kill us but let's not forget Nightmare Moon! Luna was taken over by darkness of jealously to doing things that she had no control over. We freed her with the Elements of Harmony." Fluttershy said, reminding her friends of how the Mane six saved Luna from her Nightmare Moon self. "If we could Luna, who was first going to harm ponies from being mistreated, a second chance, we must help Lorcan shed light from the darkness that clouded him for so long...giving him things he lost and/or never experienced since then; feelings of friendship and love."

The Mane Six pauses, 4 of them think real hard. Pinkie said, "Wow...Fluttershy does have a point."

"Shoot, Ah may not approve 'de idea but maybe she is right...Lorcan should be helped instead o' being wiped out." Applejack said, agreeing with Fluttershy.

"Yes, the poor darling hadn't seen friendship or love which is why he was trying to kill us." Rarity said with a nod. "We should swallow our prides or other knowledgeable thoughts to trust our hearts on the case."

"Well, okay, fine, Fluttershy does have a point and I trust her for that matter." Rainbow said in agreement, "How about you, egghead?"

"No! Lorcan has killed Starlight! We cannot trust him!" Twilight protests as she quickly charges Fluttershy, charging up a magic with eyes wanting to avenge her deceased younger brother.

Lorcan woke up, seeing Twilight, preparing to finish him off. The teenaged dragon then asks, "Are you going to kill me, Twilight? I don't blame ya. Go on...please kill me."

"I waited a long time for this...Avada-"

"STOP!" The Mane Five and Spike yells out, grabbing Twilight, keeping her from using the spell that could end Lorcan once and for all.

"Hey, let go! I got to take out Lorcan before he destroys us all!" Twilight exclaims in frustration, upset that her friends would stop her.

"Don't kill the dragon! Please? What would it make of you then?" Pinkie pleads to Twilight in concern, calming the mare down.

"She's right. Also, what would such terrible act lead in your life, huh? What would we, your family and any other pony think?" Rainbow asks Twilight, causing the purple alicorn to think about that. If the mare kills Lorcan, what would happen then?

"And what about poor Spike?" Rarity pleads, making Twilight gasps a bit as she looks to the pleading Spike. "You're cared for him as a baby dragon. If you kill the last member of his real family, even after being relieved of the evil inside, you would end up slaying a good dragon before he can begin a changed life styled."

"An' what would yer special somepony Ben Mare think if yew do 'dis?" Applejack asks; Twilight looks down in sadness. "He wouldn't want 'ta love a murderer, 'dat's fer sure."

Twilight did much thinking, reliving old memories up to now. The mare isn't a murderer...as much as she wants to make Lorcan pay for taking Starlight's life away...this isn't the answer. Killing never was. The mare is a student of magic, not a psychopath from bad stories. Twilight then cancels the spell.

"You're right...Ben, Spike and you girls would never forgive me if I become a killer." Twilight said with a calm sigh. "My teacher would never kill someone, even a killer so an alicorn, it's time I let go of my old hatred. Killing Lorcan won't bring back my happiness or Starlight. Also, such an act may start another cycle in which Spike could enact his brother's role...seeing the loss of someone he loved..."

"Very good, Twilight, very good," An unknown voice spoke up as another flash appears. The ponies and the crowd gasp in surprise as it disappears, the Royal Sisters appear, along with Golden Heart, Pinkamena and Gold Wing along with a mysterious figure, the one who was watching them.

"Hey, we missed ya!" Pinkamena exclaims eagerly as she waves to the ponies. "We thought you lost when the portal collapsed..."

"You were right, old friend." Luna said to someone with a smile. "The ponies have passed."

"Yes indeed." The figure spoke up as he appears. It's an old gray unicorn with a white mane, a white beard, yellow eyes and a cyan blue with plain blue magician's hat and cape with stars and moons on it.

"Uh, who are ya? Some sort of wizard grandpa?" Spike asks the figure a bit clueless.

"No...it can't be...but it is!" Twilight exclaims, apparently almost squealing before she bows down quickly. "You're Star-Swirl the Bearded!"

"Uh, who," Applejack ask a bit confused, not sure whom Twilight is referring to.

"He's the father of modern unicorn magic, the most powerful unicorn in Equestria, he even has his own section in the library in Canterlot...but I thought Star Swirl died out centuries ago!"

Star Swirl chuckles as he explains, "One good thing about the Infinite Realm, it allows even an old unicorn like me to live on beyond my time...or move back and forth between times."

"Good work, my students, you have completed the final part of the test." Celestia said to the alicorns, much to their surprise. They passed the final part?

"Wait, hold on!" Pinkie exclaims as she took a glass from...whose knows where and drank some water before doing a spit take. "What do you mean?!'

"Lorcan attacked us before Twilight and the others could take their test!" Spike exclaims to Star Swirl and Celestia in bewilderment. How could the mares passed their final part if they never took it?

"On the contrary, Spike, Lorcan's attack was Star-Swirl's idea." Luna explains with a secret smile.

"What," The alicorn exclaims in shock and confusion. It was Star-Swirl's idea for Lorcan to try to destroy them; But why?!

"Let me explain. You see, for many ponies that are alicorns must do something not magic can do; the Judgment of Action. It is such a case that alicorns must pass judgment that will relief one's actions on the course they must take for the good on Equestria. Not only for its citizens, but for the one that is to be judged by such actions that were performed. For some, they must give punishments that seem like the right calling to which may lead to reforming and reflecting their actions; Or other times, giving them a chance when they are no longer clouded by such dark and evil actions...to be something better of themselves. And as of such was a test that the Mane Six had to overcome by an unexpected surprise, without even knowing it, and if their judgment was true...those that chosen wisely would pass." Star Swirl explains to the alicorns with a smile. "And you can guess what happened to those that chose incorrectly, failure."

"So...by not killing Lorcan...we passed?" Twilight ask Star-Swirl in realization.

"Indeed."

"But what about Lorcan; what is his role in this?" Rarity asks puzzled while wondering what Lorcan's role in the whole matter or did the formerly evil dragon known all along?

"It was redemption." Golden Heart explains to Rarity with a smile. "He was tainted with darkness, hatred and grief for too long. By defeating him and using the Elements of Harmony, the darkness is now gone."

"Speaking of which, it's time we see if Lorcan can forgive and move on." Celestia said as she trots up to Lorcan. "Lorcan..."

Lorcan, getting up barely, glances at the one who didn't told Spike about him, then demands more than he asked, "Why...why didn't you tell him, Celestia?"

Pinkamena gets in front of Golden Heart and gets in a battle stance, saying while getting her blade out, “I know what you done killer and if you dare hurt my big brother, I will rip you into pieces.”

“Relax, Pinkamena, Lorcan won’t hurt me, Celly won’t allow him to do so.” Golden Heart said to Pinkamena who sighs a bit.

“Fine, but if he makes a move, he’s mine!”

Celestia sighs as she explains, "I'm sorry, Lorcan...I felt like it was necessary to protect him by your darkness as that of your father Tadaka's. I feared he may decide to go to your side..."

"At least you should've told him. I felt betrayed and upset when I thought that your student took him away." Lorcan remarks with a sigh of betrayal.

"It doesn't matter now...your darkness is gone forever as well as your hatred." Celestia said to Lorcan gently. She's right; the dragon no longer feels the urge or need to destroy the ponies as well as wanting revenge. "Lorcan, ever since you were young, I cared for you like you we're my nephew; and how I crave those days back. Please..."

"Princess, he murdered my brother!" Twilight explains to Celestia with a sigh. She may no longer hated Lorcan but the mare has never forgotten what happened to Starlight.

"Oh? Lorcan, what did you do with the body?" Star-Swirl asks Lorcan with a look of curiosity and amusement.

"I...I..." Lorcan said then sighs. "I don't know. When Twilight escaped on that day, the body disappeared, I don't know what happened."

"So...there's a possibility that Starlight may still be alive?" Twilight ask hopefully. If Starlight's body was never thought, that means there's a chance that her little brother is alive.

"We will deal with that later." Spike said while coming up to Lorcan. "Lorcan, I am glad...I mean, I am peeved that you tried to kill Twilight and her friends...but glad that you are better now. At least come live with us. You don't have to be alone anymore."

"Yes, Twilight can have another brother, please please PLEASE?!" Pinkie asks Lorcan with an eager mad smile.

Lorcan pause then smiles while hugging Spike, saying, "Spike, you are like mom in any way. Very well...but I don't want any annoyances, got it?"

"Not from us, that's for sure." Rainbow laughs as the ponies laughs along with her.

"Right now, let's us pause the reunion and greet our new princesses." Celestia said with a smile to the alicorns. "Your training has been completed; you now have control over your powers...so I think it's time..."

The new alicorn princesses smile happily, they have passed the training; the six can now control their powers and their flying. It's time for a coronation to begin!

Everyone from Canterlot to Ponyville, Cloudsdale and the whatnot has gathered to greet their new princesses. Even Boris, who harassed Twilight and wanting her to be his since the colt and filly days, is there; normally he hates Earth ponies but since Applejack, Pinkie and their friends became alicorns alongside Twilight, he now has respect for them.

The ponies cheers as Celestia introduces the newest princesses who shall be living in Ponyville, this time, they shall use their powers wisely. Friends and family came to congratulate or welcome their new princesses.

At a party later on, the Mane Six smiles while Rainbow said, "Oh yeah, this is awesome!"

"Yes, so what shall happen to us now?" Fluttershy ask with a meek smile. "Will our lives ever be the same?"

"Well, our lives can still be the same." Twilight said gently. "But as long as we have each other as friends, we will overcome any future obstacle that could stand in our way?"

"Hey, you girls got your own destinies." Spike said as he and Lorcan came up, the former looks worried. "Don't I get anything?"

"Spike...you have been a good friend and a true brother. But just because we're alicorns, doesn't make us forget that. If you need help or a break, we will be happy to oblige."

"Wow." Lorcan remarks while rolling his eyes. "Here, I was worried you will end up taking advantage of Spike now that you are alicorns but I guess that must be paranoidia speaking."

"And you little Spikey-Wikey shall get your reward." Rarity said. She then surprisingly kisses Spike on the cheek, causing him to hold still like a statue. "You are just a true hero, helping us against your brother as well as a bit of saving him. You get a date from me later."

"Spike, Spike?" Applejack asks while waving a hoof in front of the dazed Spike. "Hoo doggy, looks like yew done paralyze him, Rarity."

"Is it my fault that I am like this?"

The ponies laugh at this while Lorcan slaps his brother, knocking him out of it as Spike sighs lovingly, "Wow."

"Well, girls, once we get settled into Ponyville, we got a new adventure waiting for us." Twilight said in determination while looking into the sky.

"What adventure is that?" Fluttershy ask Twilight, she and her friends are curious as to what the purple alicorn was referring to.

"We must find Ben Mare...I know in my heart that he's alive somehow. I must find him and bring Ben home!"

"And we shall help!" Rainbow exclaims as the other mares cheer on, "Friends to the end."

Twilight smiles, it's great to have great friends to help her out. The mare looks up to the sun, saying quietly, "Ben...hang on tight...I will find you..."

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting new day in the lives of the Mane Six Alicorns...

"So what do you girls think?" Twilight ask in the actual reality, smiling to her friends as the show came to an end.

"Well, that was amazing!" Rainbow cheers on as she, Spike and the other ponies applaud for the show. "Best what if show ever."

"Yep! Gotta say, we done look good as alicorns," Applejack said, thinking of her other self in the other universe. "Hoo doggy, Ah would look so darn fine!"

"Yes, it's a shame that we may never be alicorns." Fluttershy said with a sigh. The other Mane Six ponies feel the same thing. It's too bad that there may not be a chance of the other members of the Mane Six to be alicorns just like their friend.

"Who knows?" Twilight ask thoughtfully. "You all may be surprised yet. Spike...why not take the rest of the day off and see if Ben and Nyx needs help with the party?"

"Yes, madam. I need to stretch my tail a bit." Spike said, stretching his tail while going to the door. He opens it, motioning to Rarity, "Fillies first."

"You are so kind, darling." Rarity said as she and the other ponies leave the room. With all that viewing that they did, the girls need to stretch their legs and tend to other things like the party.

"See ya later, Princess Twiley!" Pinkie giggles as she bounces out of the library.

Once the Mane Six and Spike leaves, Twilight put the machine away, doing some thinking. It would be nice if her friends would be alicorns...so that way, the mare may not be lonely when time passed and old age could take them...Twilight has the Royal Sisters, Spike, Nyx and perhaps Cadance...but...

"Well, who knows? Life may surprise me yet. Everything's going to be fine." Twilight said with a smile as she leaves the library, turning the lights off before exiting.
