Cadence made a mistake and plans on fixing it. However, fixing this mistake will be difficult since she has to face being dethroned for what she wants.

Cadence lied. It wasn't something petty, either. She lied when she said 'I love you', when she said her vows, and when she said 'I do'. She never loved Shining Armour, rather his sister.

After telling Shining and Twilight the situation, they work to correct this mistake. However, with over half of the nobles being against filly foolers, Cadence faces the ultimate price for her love, dethronement.

Weddings are supposed to be times of happiness and joy for all involved. It is one of those events where one can't help but be happy. The groom, the bride, the best men, the brides maids, the parents, and even the pony that bind the two. Each one can't help but be happy. But one mare, in one wedding, was anything but happy.

Twilight Sparkle had a forced smile on her face as she watched Cadence and her brother tie the knot, finishing the ceremony with a kiss. A small part of her wanted to object the wedding, but she didn't know the reasons behind it all so she couldn't really judge.

The lavender mare simply stood there, pretending that there was no pain, no anger, in the mare as she watched them get married for real this time. No changelings or spells attatched. It was a genuine wedding that Twilight hated, and with a passion that she masked very well.

Cadence caught her eye when she pulled back, giving a small smile. Twilight, just for a split second, let her mask drop. Her frown and eyes telling Cadence her true emotions. The pink alicorn winced and looked away, forcing a smile on her face as she joined her husband down the steps.

Twilight placed her mask back on and let her thoughts run wild in her head, her face stayed as cheerful as one would expect when their sibling is married. A thousand thoughts were thrown about, hooves of blame were pointed, and mental tears were shed as the pony's mind slowly deteriorated.

"I think we need a nice little chat, tomorrow." said Twilight as she followed the others towards the reception, her voice cold.

Cadence tuned out the conversations around her forever ago, only nodding, smiling, and sometimes laughing along at the correct times. Her mind was elsewhere as the wedding transitioned into the dinner afterwords.

The pink alicorn wondered why she was foolish and didn't tell Twilight ahead of time what was going on and why. But, then again, she barely had anytime to do anything but prepare for the wedding in the past few days before the wedding itself. Top it all off with the invasion, wedding, and possible explanation she would need to have with Twilight that night, she was going to need at least three days worth of sleep.
Her musings were cut off as Shining Armour lit his horn and gently tapped his wine glass with a nearby spoon. Once he had their attention, the stallion stood up infront of the crowd, a proud grin on his face.

"Fillies and Gentlecolts! I would like to thank you for joining us for this special occasion, despite the...set back we had yesterday." said the unicorn. Cadence willed herself to listen and silently prayed that he wouldn't end his speech the way she thought he would. "But despite all of that, I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to have my wife back by my side." Shining gestured for the mare to stand, which she did while throwing over a dozen curses mentally. And, of course, Shining ended his speech with a single kiss. Cadence quickly sent the exact amount of love required before breaking off with a fake grin.

Gods! Even during the wedding he tastes horrible! Why can't he be more like his sister? thought Cadence as she took her seat once again. As she did, the dinner officially began and the dishes were sent down the table. Cadence sighed as she watched Twilight silently dish her plate, passing the rest of the courses down without even looking at Cadence or in her general direction.

Once she had her plate dished up, Cadence went back to eating quietly, keeping an ear out for anything Shining might ask her as well as keeping an eye out for anything she might have to apply affection to. It was not her favorite job, but it had to be done if only to keep her secret a little while longer she would take the bullet.

Damn nobles. It seems like they only need a good amount of votes and they can overrule all three princesses. Doesn't help that over half are homophobes and I am a lesbian. mused Cadence. She sighed and went back to eating. The sound of giggling mares hit her ears along with a familiar laugh of a stallion. She looked up in time to see one of her least favorite nobles hitting on a group of mares at his table.

They are too cute for you, cousin. thought Cadence with a shake of her head. She could guess that Blueblood has hit on and probably laid half of the mares that sat in the room. She took a glance over at Twilight who seemed to be deep in a conversation with Shining, hiding her anger very well. God help his soul if that pompous ass tries to lay her. Then again, she did slightly wish he did for a few reasons. One was very obvious. It was going to be a long night.

Cadence stared across the room. The cake had been cut and shared, much to the disgust of Cadence. She admired Shining platonicly, but he was the worse kisser on the face of the planet. The moon had already by thrust into the sky only a hour ago when they started the actual reception.

Currently, she watched with hidden rage as her ass of a cousin leaned up against a table with his usual grin as he talked to Twilight. Said mare looked as if she was ready to rip out the stallions throat and geld him with the fork she held in her magic that was stuck in her slice of cake. Cadence took a deep breath and smiled at her husband.

"I'll be right back, love." she said in a honeyed tone. Once she turned away, she frowned and walked over to Blueblood, her magic preparing a spell as she approached him. A few things in life have ever been able to tick off the usually cheery alicorn, her cousin was one that succeeded every time, but there was only so much she could take before she felt the urge to geld the stallion.

Twilight saw Cadence coming and blinked, smirking a bit as she knew what was about to happen. She was still mad at the mare, but if she was going to rid her of the stallion at her table, she could put up with her for now before they had their chat. Approaching him from behind, Cadence finished her spell.

"You listen here, you insufferable plot hole." Growled Cadence, her voice of a deeper mare. "I know for a fact that she does not swing that way and would rather burn in Tartarus than to do anything with you. Now, kindly walk away before I take that spoon on the table and geld you right here, in front of everypony." Cadence smirked as she saw a small trail of yellow make its way down the stallions hindleg. Blueblood nodded frantically before sprinting away, a trail of pee following him.

Ending her spell, Cadence went to look back over at Twilight to find her gone. She did, however, find a small message scrawled on the table.

'You are still not forgiven.' Cadence sighed before placing her smile back on and trotting back over to her husband to excuse herself. She needed a nice long chat with Twilight. The pink mare scanned the reception area but with no luck.

There was a flash of light and Cadence turned her head to see a lavender head lay itself on a balcony above the gardens, the very balcony the two shared their first kiss only years ago. With a small smile, Cadence made her way back into the castle.

Twilight sat on the balcony looking over the gardens the reception was held in. A frown presided over her face as she watched the ponies below dance, laugh, and congratulate both the bride and the groom.

The moon was already high in the air by the time Twilight excused herself from the reception. She then decided to come up to a certain balcony with many memories held within. It was both refreshing and painful as thoughts of Cadence ran through her mind.

Her eyes searched for the pink mare that married her brother. Once her search came up empty, she had a good guess as to where the mare was, or at least where she was heading. She sighed and kept watching with a deep frown on her face.

"Thought I saw you up here." said a soft voice from behind her. Twilight chuckled.

"Wasn't really hiding. I was going to wait until after the wedding, but my questions can't really wait." said Twilight as she turned to glare at Cadence. The pink alicorn flinched at the gesture and went to stand next to her.

"You have to understand that I did what needed to be done and I had almost no contact with you for close to five months." said Cadence with a soft sigh. Twilight stared at her quizzically, waiting for her explanation.

"And what was it that needed to be done?" Asked the unicorn. Cadence sighed and sat on her haunches, making just her head visible for anyone back down in the gardens.

"The nobles are trying to keep up old traditions from hundreds of years ago. Tia and Lulu are getting looped into this and we each tried to fight it but got overruled." started Cadence.

"Basicly, we each have to marry somepony of nobility. Sadly, I could very well loose my title and gain political backlash if I admitted my sexual preference. I was forced to look over the Canterlot Nobles and I chose your brother, souly for the reason that I am very well versed with one of the family members." said Cadence with a smirk. Twilight gave a small smile.

"So, you were forced to marry Shining. But how did you two pull off that blast during the invasion?" Asked Twilight. Cadence laughed.

"I just made contact with him and added a bit of fuel to his love, but it wasn't my love for him that I used to fuel it, it was my love for somepony else." said Cadence with a big grin. Twilight giggled before wrapping her forelegs around the mare. Cadence eagerly accepted and held her close, enjoying the privacy the two had. However, Twilight frowned as a thought occurred to her.

"Caddy, how are we going to deal with this? We both know what our plans were before all of this happened." Cadence sighed and released her.

"I'm not sure. I was too scared to tell Shining because I thought he would reject when I told him I was dating his little sister. He is already aware that this was a noble enforced marriage but he doesn't know that I don't actually love him.

"Tia and Lulu are working to fix this problem by preforming a public vote. Once this happens, I can try and gently explain the situation to Shining and ask for a divorce. Hopefully, if he loves you like a brother should, he will have no problems with letting me give him up for you. I hope."

"Well, this is one heck of a problem." said Twilight, rubbing her chin with a hoof. The mare sighed and splayed back her ears, lowering her head. Thinking fast, Cadence came up with the perfect idea. Grinning, Cadence lowered her head to Twilight's ear.

"Tell you what, since Shining has to address the changeling invasion and plans to prevent further invasions, we can have an entire day alone, together, in my room." whispered Cadence. Twilight's ears perked up as crimson filled her cheeks and a goofy grin was placed on her face.

"I guess that is a good enough apology for forgetting to tell me what was going on." said Twilight, looking back to her marefriend, step-sister. Cadence put her hooves up defensively.

"Hey, as soon as I chose him the nobles were preparing us for a wedding! I barely had enough time to take a shaz let alone send you a proper letter!" Defended Cadence. Twilight giggled.

"I guess it's okay. I would have liked a heads up to create a plan, a back up plan, a contingency plan, another back up plan and-"

"I get it, love! You love to be overly prepared." said Cadence with a giggle. Twilight huffed but leaned into Cadence anyways. She searched over the crowd down below, not finding Shining Armour.

"Um, Caddy?"

"Yes, love?" purred Cadence, looking down at Twilight with a smile.

"Where is Shining?" Asked the unicorn fearfully, pointing down at the reception below. Cadence looked down towards the reception and looked for her now husband, searching. Her eyes widened as she came up empty.

"Shit! I need to go befor-" Cadence turned to run back down to the reception only to stop as she spotted Shining staring at them. Cadence blushed and stared at him, terrified. It didn't help that they were just married only a few hours ago and he finds her with his sister, acting like any other couple.

"W-what is this?!" Asked Shining, gesturing a hoof at them. His voice wasn't angry, just shocked, but it was enough to make both mares wince and look away. Both mares desperately tried to find a way to avoid the subject of their relationship.

"N-nothing." said Cadence with a forced smile. "We were just discussing the last few days and why she wasn't aware we were getting married until the day before." It was partly true. That is what they discussed, albeit with a lot more venom on Twilight's part and plenty of heart felt explaining on hers.

"But you called her 'love'." said Shining, glaring at the two of them. Both Twilight and Cadence winced as they realized that there was not much they could do to try and hide. They had a few options left, but what they used was the key.

"Uh...old habits?" Said Cadence sheepishly. Twilight fought the urge to face hoof as Shining glared at them. Cadence looked over at her marefriend, whom of which nodded and sighed as they turned towards the stallion.

"We may have been dating for the past three years, for in about a month." said Twilight, looking away from her brother. Cadence did the same to avoid his ever hardening glare.

"And you didn't tell me why?" He asked. Cadence bit her lip and sighed.

"Because I'm, gay, Shining. So is Twilight. The nobles would be calling for my crown and for her expulsion and Celestia would be powerless. Nintey percent of the noble circle are homophobes, giving them enough power to overrule the princess. We couldn't risk it." said Cadence.

"Not even when you chose to marry me?!" He shouted at her. Cadence winced as tears started to well up in her eyes. She dared to look over at the now seething unicorn.

"I was scared." She admitted, causing Shining to blink. The alicorn wiped her eyes with a feather as she continued. "I would need your blessing and I knew how protective of Twily you are. I was scared you would forbid me from her and possibly end up telling the nobles. I was too afraid to even broach the subject of homosexuality." The unicorns glare softened only a bit.

"So you were too afraid of me?" He shook his head. "What about that blast of love? Weren't you using your love for me?" Cadence shook her head.

"I just used love to help power the spell. My love for Twilight to be exact." She looked away. Twilight sat there, shifty in her spot as this all transpired. She sighed and looked up at her brother.

"Shining," she called, gaining his attention. "Please understand we didn't want any of this to happen. None of this. We couldn't do anything and were too afraid to. Please, you have to understand..."

"I understand." He said, glaring at her. "My only love never loved me back and lied to me because she was too scared that I would ruin her relationship." He sighed and turned around. "I will not forbid this, nor will I tell the noble circle, but I will be filing for a divorce the very second we get this mess figured out." The stallion stormed back into the castle, leaving the two mares to sit on the balcony. Cadence bit her lip and turned back to her marefriend.

"Come on. I think we should go rest." Twilight slowly nodded and stood to follow the pink alicorn, leaning against her side as they travelled towards the young mage's room, events from the conversation still playing in their minds. It was going to be a long road ahead.

Chapter One: Coming Out...Sorta

Cadence smiled lazily at the feeling of familiar warmth against her body. She giggled softly, burying her muzzle further into the pony-pillow, receiving a tired giggle in response. It felt nice to be able to sleep in a bed with her love once again and not pretend to be something she is not.

"Good morning, Caddy." said Twilight groggily as she rolled over, flashing a smile at the pink alicorn. The lavender mares head was lit up by the sun coming in from the window at the far end of the room, in front of the window. Despite her massive bed head, the mare's appearance was able to stun Cadence still. Smiling, the alicorn moved forward and planted a quick, passionate kiss on her lips, the first in a long while.

"Good morning to you too, beautiful." she said once she broke away. Twilight giggled and nuzzled the mares chest, enjoying the warmth of the mare as the alicorn's wing embraced her. It was these rare moments between meetings that they enjoyed their slight taboo relationship. Twilight never got why nobles looked down at lesbians so much.

The couple was so focused on the warmth of the other that they failed to hear the bedroom door unlock by a golden glow then push open. Celestia blinked as she saw Cadence in the room, for the pink alicorn was turned away from the door. She cocked her head and approached closer, careful not to disturb the slumbering alicorn. She froze as she heard a familiar giggle.

"Careful with those things, Caddy. You know I'm ticklish." said Twilight, who Celestia realized was on the other side of the bed. Cadence grinned.

"Ticklish? Oh, so if I do this... ". Twilight gasped as Cadence's feathers ran up her sides, causing her to giggle uncontrollably, earning a smirk from Cadence just before she captured her mouth in hers. Celestia blinked as she watched Twilight melt into the kiss, causing her to smirk.

"So, this is the mare you have been secretly dating for three years?" Asked Celestia, causing the two lovers to yelp. Celestia giggled at their reactions, shaking her head. I came to apologize to Twilight but I guess Cadence decided to first." The pink alicorn blushed and hid her face behind the purple bed sheets while the unicorn behind her hid behind her marefriend.

"Auntie, why can't you learn to knock?" Asked Cadence, peeking a lavender eye out from underneath the sheets. Celestia giggled and lightly shook her head at the alicorn.

"I wasn't expecting my niece in my student's bed. Now, shouldn't you be in bed with Shining?" Asked the goddess. Cadence winced and Twilight ducked further behind her lover. Celestia blinked, realization dawning on her. "He didn't..."

"Right after I called her 'love'." said Cadence with a nod. "He was furious, but he said he will keep it to himself and that he will file for a divorce the second all this is worked out. I decided it would be better to give him some room." Celestia sighed and rubbed her temples.

"Well, that simplifies things." said Celestia. Twilight popped her head out from under one of Cadence's wings, causing the mare to gasp in shock, staring at Celestia in confusion.

"What do you mean it 'simplifies things'?" Asked Twilight.

"Simple." said Celestia. "You tell the other elements of your relationship."

"What?!" Shouted the couple in unison, causing Celestia's ears to splay back in annoyance to the loud volume. She glared at them for a second before the ringing in her ears finally died down enough to allow her to talk.

"Now, if you'll let me explain, you will understand that you will need a few more allies in this upcoming battle of ours, if you would." said the Sun goddess, her ears still flicking in annoyance as a slight ring held in her ears.

"So you want us to tell the other elements to try and get this settled out?" Asked Twilight. Celestia nodded.

"More or less as extra measures for your cause. The more ponies we have behind us on this matter, the easier we will be able to get this matter settled." said Celestia with a nod. Twilight had another question on her mind, one that had been eating at her since Cadence's original explanation.

"Princess, why are you helping us, despite the obvious family issue?" Asked the lavender mare. Cadence looked back at her marefriend then at her aunt, equally curious. Their curiosity spiked as a shade of crimson added itself to her cheeks.

"Well, um...."

"You're gay too, aren't you?" Asked Cadence, shocking the other two mares. Celestia blinked before nodding.

"A bit bisexual, but yes." she confirmed, her cheeks becoming solid crimson. Twilight saw this and smirked.

"And who is the special somepony?" Asked the lavender pony. Celestia was turning such a solid red that even Big Macintosh would be impressed. The white goddess shifted and lowered her head a bit.

"Ramph..." muttered Celestia, causing Twilight to grin along with Cadence.

"I didn't hear you~" said the unicorn in a singsong voice.

"Rarifm...."

"One more time?"

"Rarity!" Blurted out the blushing alicorn, causing the bed's occupants to fall off, trying and failing to hide their amusement. Celestia glared as Twilight and Cadence rolled on the floor in laughter.

"Wh-when d-did you m-manage to turn h-her gay?" Asked Twilight between gasps for breath and her own laughter. Celestia squirmed a bit, well aware of her furiously burning cheeks, before she began. However, a knock on the door cut her off.

Rarity stuck her head in the doorway and examined the scene before her. A pink alicorn and a lavender unicorn occupied the floor while a heavily blushing Celestia sat a ways away from them. It took her a moment to figure out what was going on.

"You told them?" Asked Rarity, staring at her marefriend.

"About to tell them how I was able to get you to prefer mares, actually." said Celestia with a smirk. Rarity rolled her eyes as she entered, closing the door behind her.

"Tia, dear, that's hardly an interesting tale. Our first date, however, is very, very amusing." Celestia groaned and slumped to the ground.

"I still don't know how I burned a sandwich. A sandwhich! Plain daisy sandwhich and I somehow burn it!" Exclaimed the goddess, rolling on her back and throwing her hooves in the air, causing the other mares in the room to giggle.

"If it makes you feel better, I set cereal on fire once." admitted Twilight, causing the others to laugh.

"And that, my dear, is why all meals are cooked by me." said Cadence, bopping Twilight on her nose. The mare scrunched up her muzzle before sticking her tongue out at her, only to have it encased by the others lips as she closed the gap.

"I heard of Cadence's preference. I wasn't expecting Twilight to be her mare of choice, however." commented Rarity as the couple's lips parted, leaving a slightly dazed Twilight and a very satisfied Cadence in its wake.

"And is something wrong with the mare I chose to love?" Asked Cadence, cocking an eyebrow at the mare. Rarity realized her mistake and shook her head.

"Oh no, of course not! It was just a bit unexpected, is all. I never saw Twilight as the one to have time for relationships, to put it in her own words." Twilight shook her head to clear it of thoughts of Cadence before turning to the conversation at hand just in time to hear Rarity finish. "Though, I have to wonder, when exactly did you start this? I hope it wasn't when she was still just a filly."

"Oh no no no!" Said Twilight and Cadence together, shaking their heads. "It was actually a year before I left for Ponyville. We are telling the others, apparently," Twilight threw a look Celestia's way. "So we will clarify then."

"Should I mention both your families will be joining us?" Asked Celestia with a sheepish smile.

"You're inviting my parents?!" Exclaimed Twilight.

"You invited that pompous ass?!" Shouted Cadence. Both Celestia and Rarity found themselves holding their ears to try and rid themselves of the ringing brought on by the raised volume.

"I did, and for good reason. We need noble votes on this, if it means some backlash from the Sprakle and Blueblood households to get it, then we will work through it." said Celestia, care moving her hooves from her ears. Rarity nodded.

"As much as I would rather get the love drained out of me by changelings rather than sit in the same room as Blueblood, I agree we will need his vote on this. He does hold plenty of influence in the noble circle." said the alabaster unicorn, flipping her purple mane out of her eyes.

"Fine." groaned Twilight. "Though, I'm not too eager to face Shining today. He wasn't exactly happy when we told him." Rarity winced.

"Didn't take it well, I assume?"

"Very badly." said Cadence with a nod. "I should have never waited." Cadence sighed and placed her head in her hooves. Twilight scooted up to her and wrapped her hooves around her. Cadence leaned into the embrace as the group sat there. Finally, Celestia stood, Rarity following.

"We’ll leave you two alone for now. The meeting will be this evening at seven, we hope to see you then." said Celestia, turning towards the door. "I will make sure we win this battle, that I can assure you." The two left the room, leaving Twilight and Cadence in each other's hooves. Twilight eventually let go of her marefriend and gave her a peck on a cheek.

"You should go find Shining, ponies believe you're married, remember?" Twilight sighed.

"We are married, Twilight. It feels like I'm cheating on him even though I don't love him that way." said the alicorn, her ears splaying back. Twilight but her lip and brought the mare into a deep kiss, holding it there for a few seconds.

"It's okay, Caddy." said Twilight softly as she broke apart. "You couldn't predict it would all turn out this way, but it did. Now, head on over to Shining, I have some things I want to get done before tonight."

Cadence stood outside of the doors that led into her and Shining Armour's room, her throat closing up as she thought about the night before and how he reacted to the news. She didn't know how bad of a grudge he held, but she hoped it wasn't too major.

Knocking on the door, Cadence took a deep breath as she prepared for what could happen next. Finally, the sound of hoofsteps approaching the door could be heard as a rose aura encased the handle.

Shining Armour looked like he just recently got out of the bed. His two toned blue mane tossed a bit from sleep and his eye lids still heavy. The unicorn blinked before opening the door for her to enter.

"I'm guessing we weren't the only ones having trouble sleeping last night." said Cadence as she walked. Shining grunted as he walked over to the bed and sat down, staring at Cadence as she sat across from him. There was an awkward silence between the two before Shining spoke.

"Do you truly love her?" Asked the stallion, keeping his stare on the mare. Cadence blinked in surprise at the question, not expecting it that early.

"O-of course I do! I don't fake these things." said Cadence. Shining glared at her. "Okay, not counting the last week. But still, I love her and always will, if that's what you are worried about." Shining sighed and shook his head.

"I just wanted to know if you were true about your feelings. I'm protective of my sister and I don't want to see her hurt." said the white stallion. "Now that I know they are true, I will give you blessing." Cadence blinked.

"Wait, really?" She asked, confused. Shining nodded and stood with a grunt, making his way towards the bathroom.

"While I am hurt to learn my love was never returned, or at least how I wished it to be returned, I have to set that aside and get along with you for the sake of my sister." He casted a smile back at her. "A new start if you would." Cadence gave a small smile back. She gave a small cough and straightened her posture.

"Greetings, dear Gentlecolt, my name is Princess Mi Amor Cadenza. May I ask yours?" Asked Cadence with a little curtsy. Her face remained blank, but on the inside she was holding back her laughter. Shining chuckled before straightening his posture.

"Prince Shining Armour, at your service, my lady." said Shining with a small bow. The two held their positions for a few seconds before delving into full hysterics. Cadence had to keep herself from falling to her side while the still somewhat sleepy Shining Armour had to fight not to pass out.

"Heh, glad to see things starting to resemble normal." said Shining as he regained himself. Cadence nodded from her spot on the ground before rolling to her belly.

"Yep. I didn't want to spend the day with Grumpy Armour anyways." said the pink alicorn with a wink, causing the stallion to blush lightly and Cadence to break into laughter.

"Aren't you supposed to save your flirting for Twily?" Asked the stallion, trying to calm his blush. Cadence let out a happy sigh before shaking her head at him.

"She wouldn't care. Besides, we're married. I'm expected to flirt with you. Ponies will get suspicious if I only flirted with Twilight and not you." said Cadence with a roll of her eyes. Shining's face suddenly grew serious.

"How are you two handling this marriage?" He regretted asking as Cadence winced. It obviously was a very sore topic.

"Decent, I suppose. But...I feel like I'm cheating, Shining. A bit on you since I am married to you, but mostly to Twilight." She bit her lip. "There are provinces in Equestria where same sex marriage is allowed. We were planning on going to one of those places this year after breaking the news to our friends and family. Of course, the nobles had other plans."

"Is that all you two plan on doing in the future?" Asked Shining, sitting down across from the mare. Cadence blushed.

"We were thinking of foals sometime down the road." admitted Cadence. Shining blinked.

"Wait, how does that even work? You are both mares!" Cadence turned a deep crimson.

"Do you know the term hermaphodite?"

"Yeah. It's when a female has both a vagina and...a...dick....oh." Shining blushed.

"Oh, indeed. All alicorns are." said Cadence, her blush refusing to leave. "I may have asked Tia this when I became one. It's...disturbing when you suddenly have a cock hanging between your legs."

"And does Twilight know?" Asked Shining. He regretted asking by the devilish smirk on the alicorns face.

"She is very acquainted with it, yes." said Cadence, grinning. Shining groaned.

"I didn't need to know you rutted my sister." Complained Shining, burying his head in his hooves as Cadence broke out in laughter.

"Hey, you wanted to know if she knew I was a shemale, and I told you" said Cadence defensively. Shining rolled his eyes.

"Yes, but you didn't have to explain to me that she had it shoved somewhere."

"Mouth. Still have a cherry to pop." said Cadence with a wink. She laughed as a pillow rammed into her face.

"Was there a certain reason why you wanted to see me besides to explain me your sex life?" Asked Shining, his face a deep crimson. Cadence chuckled a bit before sitting up.

"Yes, actually. We are married so I have to follow you around. Oh, and we are meeting with both our families this evening." said Cadence.

"Why?"

"What was our conversation last night?" Shining paled.

"You are explaining to my parents and your cousin that not only are you gay and got married to somepony you don't love, but are in a very serious relationship with my sister?" Asked Shining.

"The other elements will be there, too, along with Tia, Lulu, and their dates. Poor homophobe Bluey is going to get a huge slap of lesbian this evening." said Cadence, shaking her head while surpress king her giggles. Shining rolled his eyes and stood up.

"Well, I'm going to take a shower and take care of the other work that needs to be done. You can hangout with Twily until the meeting." said the stallion, walking into the bathroom.

"Shining?" Said stallion stopped, looking back to find Cadence walking over to him. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Thank you for understanding."

"I thought you didn't like stallions that way." said Shining, blushing madly. Cadence chuckled.

"I don't. It's just a sign of appreciation, so you can put your sword back in its sheath" said Cadence, trotting over to the door. Shining blinked a looked down. He blushed before running into the bathroom and slamming the door behind him, drowning out the laughter of his wife.

Twilight fidgeted with her hooves as she waited in the dining hall of the castle. Cadence sat next to her with Shining on the otherside of the alicorn. Said alicorn had a wing around the unicorn in an attempt to calm her as they waited for the remainder of their guests.

Celestia cleared her throat from her position at the head of the table, Luna other right. On her call a gaurd walked in, shared a few quick words with the goddess, and left back out into the hall once again.

"Our guests will be arriving shortly. I've been told they have been picked up from their rooms and are on their way." said Celestia in a cheery tone despite being nervous herself. What was discussed in this room would affect their proceedings on getting gay relationships in noble ranks accepted.

For another ten minutes the five ponies sat in relative silence, waiting for what might come with bated breathes. Twilight could feel sweat form on her brow, only to have it wiped away with a pink feather. She looked up to see Cadence smiling down at her.

Just then, the door slammed open, giving hardly no time for Cadence to remove her wing from around Twilight as Blueblood strutted in with his head held high. From behind him strode in a pair of unicorns, each rolling their eyes at the white stallions antics, and finally by six mares and a small drake, Rarity looking like she was ready to rip off the Prince's head.

Blueblood took a seat at the other end of the table, across from Celestia, causing the regal alicorn's eye to twitch. Twilight and Shining's parents located themselves in front of the trio while the elements and Spike filled in the rest of the seats, Rarity choosing a seat next to Celestia with a neutral expression.

Once all seats were taken, a silence hung over the table as they waited for someone to start the conversation on why they were there. Celestia chewed her lip as she searched for what to say, only to have Blueblood break the silence with the most obvious question.

"Well, Auntie, what did you want to see all of us about?" Asked the pompous unicorn as he examined his hoof in a nonchalant manner. Celestia's eye twitched before she took in a breath and spoke.

"Now, I want to start off our meeting on a small...political note that the nobles have brought up to us three princesses as of recent." started Celestia, grabbing the full attention of Blueblood. "As the Sparkle household is obviously aware, the nobles have enacted an old decree that neither me or my sister have seen in over a millennia. As it states, all of those in nobility, minor or princess, must be married. Of course, there are some complications in this."

"And what of that do you mean, Tia?" Asked Blueblood. Celestia cast a gaze towards the side of the table holding her sister, Twilight, Cadence, and Shining, each nodding at her. She turned back towards the rest of the group before continuing.

"When putting down guidelines, you not only made it so that we must marry inside nobility, but we are, in fact, keeping a strict ban on gay marriages in the noble houses. One, if I must say, strips one of rank, am I right?" Asked Celestia. Blueblood nodded. "Then there, Blueblood, is the issue."

"Explain to me how it is." said Blueblood, leaning forward. Celestia was about to amswer when Cadence cut her off.

"Because me and Twilight have been dating for the last three years." A heavy silence fell over the room as everypony in the room stared at them in shock, excluding a few who already knew. Blueblood growled and slammed his hooves on the table.

"Anypony else not telling the truth about their sexuality?" Asked the stallion. Rarity moved closer to Celestia, Rainbow Dash looked away as she wrapped a wing around Fluttershy, brining the mare closer. Blueblood turned his attention towards Luna.

"So what, are you the only straight princess?" Asked Blueblood. Luna went to answer just as the doors were thrown open, an azure mare rushing in. She stopped in front of the staring crowd as she attempted to catch her breath.

"T-the Great and p-Powerful Trixie has....Celestia, third pony is difficult when winded. Cadence smiled as she figured why the mare had been called. Meanwhile, five of the elements of harmony were just realizing who entered.

"What the hay are you doing here?!" Shouted Dash, breaking everyone out of their shock. Trixie yelped as she suddenly had Rainbow up against her face.

"I do believe I was invited." said Trixie, pushing the rainbow maned Pegasus away.

"And who in tarnation would do that?" Asked AJ, narrowing her eyes at Trixie. The clearing of a throat brought everyone's attention to Luna, who had kept a rather neutral expression the entire time.

"I did, in fact. Trixie." Luna motioned for the mare to take the empty chair that Luna had kept between her and Twilight. As Trixie made her way over to her seat, Luna focused back on her nephew.

"Now, I believe you were asking if I was the only straight princess, am I right?" Asked the goddess, recieving a nod in return. "Yes, well, to answer that." Luna quickly moved and captured the unaware Trixie in a kiss, almost causing her to fall over on top of Twilight.

The azure mare blinked before she leaned into the kiss, holding it for a few seconds before Luna broke it off. Trixie blushed and took her seat once again. Luna smiled dumbly before turning to her dumbfounded nephew.

"I don't believe there to be any straight monarchs in this castle besides you, Blueblood." said Luna, gaining a giggle from a few of the couples and a chuckle from Shining Armour. Blueblood stammered before pointing a hoof at Shining.

"W-what about the wedding?!" He asked.

"It was real. I loved, or rather thought I loved Cadence, and we actually got married. It wasn't until during the reception when I caught these two," He pointed a hoof at the lavender and pink couple who just started whistling innocently. ",almost kissing. It was then that I learned of their relationship, Cadence's fear of me, and that Twily was left out of the dark of both my knowledge of their relationship and the wedding."

"But then why did you marry him in the first place?" Asked Blueblood. Cadence rolled her eyes.

"Because I was the first picked, dumbass. Oh, and I will still geld you if I catch you trying to hit on Twily or any of her friends." said Cadence with a wink. Blueblood paled visibly at that comment.

"That was you?"

"It was." Silence hung over the table, waiting for someone to start up conversation once again. Finally, it was Bright Light and Dawn Sparkle that spoke.

"Well, if both my children are okay with this...relationship, then I will gladly except it." said Dawn, her husband nodding in agreement. The three siblings gave each other before back at the mare.

"I'm still getting a divorce when this situation is handled." said Shining.

"He is still sleeping in a separate bed." Cadence remarked with smirk.

"I'm just glad this isn't some incestual three-way relationship." said Twilight with a shrug. There was a collective shiver throughout the room as they considered and threw out the idea. All eyes finally settled back on Blueblood, the fate of these relationships weighing on his shoulders. And he was aware of it.

"Well," he said with a sigh, casting a look at the three supposedly illegal couples. "I can't say I completely approve of these relationships, but you all are, in a sense, family, and I don't betray my family. I will keep my mouth shut, but I'm giving you a year and a half to get around the rules or at least change them. After then, I'm leaking information into the press." said Blueblood in a serious. Despite the hidden threat, there was a collective sigh as he overall accepted it.

"Well, as much as enjoyed this meeting, I think its time for all of us to spend some time with our loved ones before they must leave." said Celestia, standing from her seat. Everyone else followed suit, gave their good byes, and went their own ways for the rest of the night.

"That was...interesting." said Twilight as she and Cadence made their way back to her way. Cadence giggled and nuzzled her marefriend on the cheek.

"Indeed it was. I'm just glad we got that pompous ass to accept us." said Cadence with a roll of her eyes.

"You don't like him that much, do you?" Asked Twilight. Cadence scoffed.

"He was a self-centered plot when we were kids, he is still one now. Not much has changed in the last twenty years except his tactics for picking up mares." said the alicorn. Her ears perked up and she grinned down at Twilight, asking a silent question. The unicorn saw this and chuckled.

"How is it I fell in love with a sex addict?" Asked Twilight, shaking her head. Cadence pouted.

"Hey! I'm not a sex addict. I only stop by the library once a week to rut you." said the mare defensively. Twilight rolled her eyes.

"Yes, and that one night includes anal, blowjobs, 69, amd eating me out within a few hours. I can barely walk the next day!" Said Twilight. Cadence rolled her eyes this time.

"Can you blame me when we live in two separate cities? I mean, seriously. Before we screwed, what, every other night and that was either a quick hoofy or anal. Now I'm so sex deprived I have to milk you!" Complained Cadence as they stopped in front of their room. Twilight looked the doors up and down them at the numerous guards patroling the area. She sighed and pushed the mare inside.

"I'm putting a sound proof bubble around the room and limiting you to one round of each. Finally, you are cleaning the sheets in the morning." said Twilight, climbing on the bed. Cadence grinned as she trotted up to the other mare and locked their lips together, slowly guiding their bodies to the bed. After a few seconds when she was on top, Cadence broke the kiss with a grin.

"Deal."
