Applejack woke without opening her eyes to the harsh morning sun. It had been a wild night. It started with Rainbow Dash coming over just after lunch. They competed for hours at races and apple tossing. Then the others appeared over the horizon. Pinkie had brought her party cannon. It was so like Pinkie--even with town mixer tonight at Pony Hall, she still had them partying till dawn the night before. Applejack was intent on staying in bed as long as possible that day to compensate. She didn’t care if Granny Smith shouted, or if Apple Bloom complained, or if Rainbow Dash nuzzled her neck. “Wait, what?!” Applejack sat up. Beside her was a snoozing Rainbow Dash. AJ shook RD awake. Rainbow Dash was equally shocked. She hit the ceiling. After she was finished rubbing the bump on her head, the two started arguing. The first theory was that this was some horrible prank, but the room was locked from the inside. The next theory had them simply collapsing with each other in bed, but the sheets wove a sordid tapestry of lustful actions. It was no use trying to deny what had gone on in that bed, for they could smell the sex on both of them. Despite this, neither could remember exactly what had transpired the previous evening after the party cannon started firing. Accusations flew over who did what to who. At one point they accused each other of spiking their punch with love poison. After they had shouted themselves silly, they were faced with the horrible truth. They had crossed a line in their friendship that should not have been crossed. Could this be an end to their friendship? An end to their competitiveness? The two silently walked downstairs for some coffee to discus their options. Reaching the kitchen, however, they found themselves face to face with Granny Smith and Big McIntosh, who themselves were having breakfast. The two Apples stared at the two guilty looking mares. “OH HI, Granny, didn’t see you there. I was just saying goodbye to my friend Rainbow Dash” “Yes, Big Mac, I was just saying goodbye to my good friend” “Indeed, we are good friends and she just happened to crash in my room which is totally normal for a friend to be doing.” “It sure is, my good friend Applejack, nothing unusual about that in any way.” “Surely! And we’ve had enough breakfast, surely, and we will be off now.” “Yes! We should surely be off, as two friends would do, under normal circumstances!” Applejack and Rainbow Dash darted from the room. Granny Smith turned her head slowly to Big McIntosh. “They totally did it.” “Eeyup.” As soon as they were safely out of the farm house, Rainbow Dash gave Applejack a stern pat on the back, “Well, I’m off. Thanks for the bucking!” “You can’t just leave after what we did!” pleaded Applejack. “Watch me!” Rainbow shot up into the air without the slightest hesitation. Applejack was not about to let this die. She had a lasso around Rainbow’s flank in a second flat. With teeth gnashed on the rope, she tried to pull Dash down to earth, but the pegasus just took off into the sky, dragging an angry Applejack through the air. Rainbow flung Applejack around town, trying to lose her. She tried dunking her in the lake, but that didn’t work. Then she tried dragging her through the apple orchards. It wasn’t long before she had collided with the CMC’s tree- mounted hideout. Applejack was stuck with her head in the window of her sister’s clubhouse. “Big Sis! I just painted that windowsill!” Apple Bloom marched over to the window. Applejack did her best to talk through the rope in her mouth. “Could you perhaps give me a little push?” “What’s the matter, Applejack? Have a lover’s quarrel with Rainbow Dash?” Sweetie Belle snickered. If her head wasn’t is such an awkward position, Applejack would have snarled, “Now don’t you mind none about that! You just give me a little push and I’ll be on my way. The three nudged Applejack’s nose until she was pulled into the sky again under pegasus power. Sweetie Belle chuckled. “They totally did it.” “You don’t think they really did anything do you? Rainbow Dash wouldn't do anything with a simpleminded pony like Applejack would she?! No offense, Apple Bloom.” cried Scootaloo. “Sweetie Belle? Did you just hear a chicken squawk?” Rainbow Dash continued to take Applejack on a ride across town. She made two passes past town hall, and gave a fright to the old ponies’ home. They finally both collapsed back at Sweet Apple Acres hours later. Applejack panted, “Would. it. be. so bad?” Rainbow Dash, too, tried to catch her breath, “What? Being. A. Couple?” “Am I so unworthy Rainbow? To be with a strong pegasus like you?” “Ah, who am I kidding? You’re an awesome pony, and I’d like to be somepony special to you, but I’m scared.” Rainbow Dash admitted, covering her face in shame. “Scared?” Applejack climbed to her feet. “What if it goes wrong and we break up? I don’t want to lose you as a friend,” Rainbow conceded. “RD, I promise I will always be with you no matter what. We are meant to be more, I just know it. What we did last night proves it!” Applejack said. Rainbow Dash rose and met the earth pony. “I guess you’re right. It had to mean something.” Applejack and Rainbow stared into each others eyes. Their old relationship was over, and there was a long and frightening road ahead of them. But they were brave ponies and they would rise to meet this new challenge. There eyes began to swell up with water and they kissed deeply and passionately. From there they both walked together to the Town Social. There would be snacks and chatter before the main meeting, giving them ample time to re-introduce themselves to their friends and neigh-bors as a couple. They weren’t sure how they’d react to this, but they stood together, unafraid. They no sooner walked into Pony Hall when Fluttershy flew up to them. Rainbow greeted her, “It’s good that you’re the first to see us here. We have something to say.” Fluttershy interrupted. “No! It’s me who has to apologize for last night. I was so terrible to you both, and in such a rough sexual way, too.” Applejack and Rainbow Dash both froze, then spoke in unison. “WHAT?!” Fluttershy hung her head in shame and continued. “I am so so sorry. I was so thirsty for a menage a trios that I took advantage of you both. The cupcakes made you both drowsy, so I lead you to Applejack’s room for some privacy. After a few hours of steamy action, you both fell asleep. I was afraid of what you might say when you woke up, so I flew out the open window. I was so ashamed to cut out like that. Funny, Applejack, you don’t taste like apples...” Rainbow’s and Applejack’s jaws hit the floor at the same time. Applejack quickly composed herself and demanded more answers. “Whoa nelly! Are you trying to make us believe that you did both of us in one night? At the same time? Prove it!” Fluttershy continued without blinking, “You like to be spanked and Rainbow Dash took my whole hoof into her.” Rainbow raised an eyebrow. “So that’s what that tingling is.” Applejack rubbed her sore flank. “You mean to tell me that RD and I didn’t do anything to each other last night?” “Oh, no, I was between the two of you the whole time. Please forgive me.” Rainbow Dash shot a deliberate stare at Applejack, and Applejack did the same to Rainbow Dash. Through gritted teeth, Rainbow Dash spoke, “We’re cool, Fluttershy, why don’t you give Applejack and I a moment alone.” Fluttershy excused herself and backed away slowly. The earth pony and the pegasus stared daggers at each other for a full minute. “How dare you toy with my feelings like that!” Rainbow Dash shouted. “Me?! What about you! You tried to run from it!” Returned Applejack. “I was trying to settle the matter, but you just wouldn't let it go!” Rainbow shot back at the cowpony. “Oh, that is it! We’re settling this with a race! Three times around Pony Hall! Now! No wings!” Fluttershy trotted to the opposite end of the room. Twilight was sitting there. She was flipping through her new copy of “Locks and Lockpicking”. “It is done,” Fluttershy whispered “I took the rap for you. They bought it.“ Twilight patted Fluttershy’s pink head. “Excellent my pet.” “OK, but you remember our deal, right?” Fluttershy smiled hopefully. “You’re not going to try anything with me, now. Right?” “Of course not, Fluttershy. Have some punch.”
