A elite tau fire warrior is lost in equestria he must travel around to see these strange lands and try to cope with the environment and survive at all cost and help protect this peaceful land. PS: this is my first story and i wanted to make a tau story for the site. (i will need one or 2 editors if you can spare time i would really appreciate it)
The battle of Kronus(Remade)(after 5 years i'm back!
The battle was raging, massive explosions every where, bullets fired left and right on the battle field there was a massive Necron army overwhelming the tau's last defense.
The Tau Forces they had been fighting well for hours until the Necrons came in full force. It was ShazO'Kias the commander of the tau on Kronus, he wears a XV22 battle suit with his burst-cannon mini-gun he had with him many of the remaining forces of tau squads of fire warriors and many Kroot packs that had survived the onslaught of the Necrons.
"All squads regroup and hold your ground we can not let a single one of them though we must push them back and win this battle!"said Shas'O Kais
"But commander There are just to many off them and we can barley hold this area!" Says a trooper close by who rises out of cover for second letting loose a few plasma shots form his weapon and then ducking behind cover again
"We can't give up just yet we must wait for reinforcements from the Sgt Cortex, just hold on a little longer Cortex should be close to getting the last of the Civilians off World."
" We will try are best commander!"
the battle continued for what seemed like hour's and with in time the reinforcements arrived with Sgt.Cortex and the many remaining squads under his watch. He was a elite fire warrior with the a upgraded battle suit with a Modified plasma rifle and a power sword he got from a dead imperial Commissar that he found on one of his scouting missions to the space marines base which was nothing but bodies and ash . The reinforcements were around 143 fire warriors,12 XV8 Crisis Battle suits, and 34 XV25 stealth teams members.
"Commander, Sgt.cortex has arrived with the reinforcements"
"Ah the reinforcements good to hear they have arrived ," ShazO'Kias and a few troops make there way to the transports carrying the last of the reinforcements. he goes up to Cortex and they both give a quick salute
"Sgt.Cortex it is good to see you again I was worried when I heard news of necrons being near the evacuation area" said ShazO'Kias as he looked around at the remaining troops.
"Same to you Commander.. and yeah.. lost about a 4th of my troops just to keep them away from the civilian transports leavening Kronus how goes the Battle?"Asked Cortex
"Not good, we have lost so many just to hold these lifeless machines back" Shas'O Kais said with a sigh
"That's not good to hear how many of the Necrons are left?"Asked Cortex with a bit of fear in his tone
"Many more remain, when we kill one they seem just to get back up and keep fighting! there may be no way to stop them. Their Monoliths are too strong and there forces keep coming no matter what I have tried.."Said Shas'O Kais
The battle field was covered in bodies and blood from the fighting, died Tau and Necrons litter the ground all over the city's main defense areas. they all lie on the ground lifeless dead, gone or shut down.
"This war has just been so much at once, we must retreat and leave this planet it is lost.." Cortex said with a sigh
"I know your right but we must..."Shas'O Kais said be fore he was interrupted by a fire warrior
"Incoming!"5 big green bolts hit the tau line killing a many of there troops most tired to jumped away, but only a few were able to and even then they were heavily wounded, many troops watching it happen were horrified at the death of there comrades by such a powerful blast
A blast from the Necron Monoliths got the attention of the two leading officers, The big floating base kept firing over and over again the building behind the two leaders as the build shook leaving big holes in the tau base one after another as it fired with no delay.The Necrons numbers seemed endless and unstoppable and in many of there hearts the tau knew there was no way they could win this battle but none said a word they wish to die in honor, even if most were quiet fearful of the upcoming death.
"Commander we need to get ready and evac! there coming in full force and we don't stand a chance!" cortex shouted as he fired of a few shots at a few necrons that straved too close, taking out a couple of the twisted machines with some well placed shots. a big stray green bolt from a monolith hit a nearby tower and the debris fall from high and smashed into the group crushing tau and necrons alike
"oh by the greater good.. there going to destroy everything..." cortex said in a shocked whisper as he started at the destruction just quickly as has he finished his words and turned around, a bolt of green energy flew by him barley missing him and hit the person behind him, he heard destructive round from the monolith pierce though skin, he quickly turns around and he sees that his commander is on the ground with a huge hole in his chest and he is bleeding profusely.
"Commander!" many troopers surrounded the commander Cortex and a few medical know how's of the group try to find a way to stabilize ShazO wounds but it all seemed imposable.
"..*cough*..Damn I let my guard down for only a second" says ShazO as he try's to get up
Cortex pushes him back down on his back " Commander your Hurt! don't move save your strength. we can try and patch you up" as he says this a green explosion happens to his left, he gets blown back and lands into a nearby wall of the broken tau building he feels sever burning on his left side of his body, even though he is in pain he slowly looks up and what he see horrifies him, he sees the last of his men that were guarding this area so well before falling apart quite quickly as the never ending tide of the necron horde slowly pushed the Tau's last guard line to its limit, left and right he sees tau desperately trying to fight back trying there hardest to keep the area safe but it all seems for not.
Cortex slowly rises and makes his way to ShazO'Kias the pain he feels in his left leg and left arm are agonizing he feels as if there are broken, but he pushes through it, he slowly makes his way to ShazO bullets and bolts are flying past his faces screams of pain and fear but he can barley hear it do to the sound of his heart pumping into his ears as he all but he pushes through to ShazO and falls down to his knees next to him.
"C-Commander.." he is met with only a shallow breath before he react or can say much else he is knocked away very forcefully, he lands his back he lets out a cry of pain from the force of the landing and before he can get up a cold metal foot puts its self on his chest and a cold and hollow voice whispers to him.
"Try...as..you…might...this...fight...was...a…hopeless..endeavor.." Cortex looks up and is met with cold lifeless green eyes staring back at him he try's to get a punch in with his good arm but his efforts are for not his hand is grabbed by a metal one and the his right hand is slowly crushed the bones in his hand breaking his yells of are loud he falls back to the ground and has a chance to see around him, he sees his troops all but a few let alive still fighting, he sees his commander on the ground the same position as him but the necron on ShazO is holding a specter and has a black cape on its back, his eyes widen../" that's a necron lord.."\ he looked back to the necron above him it was a holding weapon he was Familiar with a spear of green energy with a axe blade on the end he looked up and the necron its appearance was like the body of a warriors but it was covered in a silver tone and the body was more unique he knew of the necron it was the same one he fought at the ork stronger not long ago the Pariah necron Nakhtotekh!
"he...he...he.....he.....looks...like…I…got...you...now...Tau.....you.....escaped....me....once...before...but...not...this....time! Nakhtotekh cackles in a twisted soulless glee
"This...is...your...end.....as.....it...should...have....been" Nakhtotekh said in a metallic voice as it razed its weapon up axe side at the ready for a killing blow
"I hope... you... burn for... this you.... soulless monster.."Cortex said through a weak voice
the weapon Connected and all cortex saw was darkness

Time ??:?? Location: ???????' Date ??/??/???? Status: 100% Suit status: 100% when he first awoke he was surprised to see trees there green leaves slowly moving in the wind. "I-I'm alive but how? wasn't I just on a battle field? and where am i now?"he looked body to see he was in perfect health and his armor and weapons worked good as new once he checked his weapons he got up and had a look at his surroundings it was dark and filled with strange sounds he tried to use his comm but he was met with nothing but static.
"This is Sgt.Cortex of the fire warrior caster reporting in." he was met with silence
"Shas'UI report!" still nothing
then he remembered see his fellow soldier die one after, his commander bleeding on the ground, the necron that ended his life.
/" it seems I am alive.. but my men the commander.. they all are dead.. how did I survive?'\ he thought to him self sorrow over coming him as he clutched his fist he punched the ground and then let out a sigh
" I need to find food, water and a Shelter soon I need to find out where I am and get in contact with the the Tau.." He checked his gear, made sure he had every thing and then set off into this new strange world he found himself in
He was slowly sneaking throw this strange place and he was trying to be as quiet as he could be as he quietly walked through this strange place , he then came a cross what looked like a tree with a house in it he walked towards it to find a strange creature
He looked inside the tree to see it was a library covered with books an equine that was walking about, and there was aslo a small little creature. He couldn't get a good look at the small creature but he could tell that the equine was colored lavender and had a horn on its head
(Hhhmmm what is this creature and what is the small one ? i will listen in to the conversation so i can see if i can get some information on where i am and see if there are hostile or not)
"...Twilight calm down it might have been nothing"(so that is the equines name Twilight)
"I can't spike i am sure something strange happened in the Everfree Forest"(so The Forest i came out of into this town is called The everfree forest)
"It could have been nothing"Said Spike
"I think we should get the girls for this one" Said Twilight
"I don't know if....."(The little creature was interrupted by a static sound
"What's That?" Spike asked
(oh this is not good why must this stuff be bugging out on me now?!)
"Hey whats that!"The creature pointed towards the window that cortex is looking through
The Sgt made a run for it to try to get away but The equine Known as Twilight started chasing after him
"Hey Stop right there!" her horn started to glow a purple glow and a barrier appeared had around Sgt.cortex trapping him in place
"Spike go get the girls i will stay here with this Strange Creature" Spike gave a salute and ran of
"So what are you exactly?" The Sgt stood silently not saying a word
"Hello do you happen talk?" she asked more calmly he turned to face the equine
"Yes i do little equine, now what might I ask is this?" he pointed at the Barrier
"Its magic and might i ask what are you?"Said Twilight
"I am a Tau fire warrior from what is called the Tau empire my name is Sgt.Cortex and don't worry i am not here to harm any of your kind"said the Sgt.
"Well nice to meet you Mr. Cortex"she said as she lowered the barrier now knowing that he had no evil intentions
"My name is Twilight Sparkle"She extended her hoof
"A pleasure to meet you Miss Sparkle" He shook her hoof
"Oh how Kind of you just call me Twilight"said Twilight
"Who was the little one with you bye the way?" Cortex asked as the 2 were walking back to the tree structure
"That was Spike my assistant"Said Twilight as a few blurs were moving towards them
The 2 of them saw a group coming towards him, the little one know as Spike had come back with 5 more of these strange equines one had a orange coat with a blonde mane and she was wearing a cow boy hat that i had heard humans had worn those, the next one was yellow with a pink mane and a pare of wings she was behind the orange one, next was a white equine with a purple mane and had a horn like Twilight after her was a rainbow colored mane equine she had a cyan coat and was like the yellow one, she too had wings and the last one was covered in pink and was bouncing around a lot she look like that stuff humans eat what was it called again?. But his train of thought stopped when the cyan one charge at him like a rocket.
"Hey back away form her!" the cyan one yelled said as she charged at the tau Warrior he reacted fast as he blocked every hit she throw at him, he then moved out of the way she was fast but he was Trained for the situations from all the training he had in the past be through. She was shocked at the speed he had in him, he pushed her away but made sure not to harm her.
"Wait stop he is not evil" Twilight said as she jumped in between the Tau warrior and her friends so they couldn't get to him
"Twi are ya sure about this" asked the orange one
"yes he has not tried to harm me at all and he very is friendly it would seem"Twilight says with a small smile
"Then way did he try hit me!"Yelled the rainbow one
" i was fighting In self defense i do not mean to harm someone unless i have too"Said Cortex
"Okay I trust ya since Twi does but so you do one thing and i will Buck you to Appaloosa and back " he noted to remember that just in case, but before he could continue his line of thought, the pink one had jumped in his face and started to speak so fast that he could not understand much of it at all of what she was saying.
"Hi-my-name-is Pinkie-Pie-and-what-are-you-some-kind-of alien-or-something-Do-you-like-party's?!he was a little started at the action she would have continued if not for Twilight quieting her done with her foreleg.
"Well any way my names Applejack" she held out a foreleg and he shook
"This here is Rainbow dash" she pointed to the cyan Pegasus who just stayed Silent and glared a a little at him him
"This is here Rarity" she pointed to the white one
"Its a pleasure to meet you darling" she held out a hoof and he shook hers
"Might i ask what is that you are wearing"she pointed to the suit
"Well this is my Armor i have had for a very long time i use in many combat situations "that word caught at Twilight's ears
" Did you say Combat?" Twilight asked
"Yes back where i came form there where many battles and wars i will tell you all about it another time"he looked over to the yellow Pegasus
"May i ask what is your name?"asked Cortex
"i...am....Fluttershy" she said quietly
"Her names Futtershy" Twilight said "she can be a little shy sometimes but once she gets to know you she will be not so frightened of you" he just nodded
"Shall we go into the library and continue this talk?"Asked Cortex
"That is a great idea"said Twilight as The Six mares,one baby dragon and one Tau fire warrior began the walk to twilight's library
The six ponies and the Fire Warrior had returned to the library with out waking the city the door to the home was a bit small but he got in easy he thought it would be a lot harder for a space marine to get in he chuckled to the thought as they got in they they all took a seat the chairs were a little small for him so he sat on the couch.
"Hey spike could you get the parchment and quill so we can send a letter to princess Celesta Please"Asked Twilight
"Sure thing twilight"he said as he went to get the parchment and a quill
"So Cortex what kind of creature are you and who did you say you worked for?"asked Twilight
"Sure i can tell you, i am a Tau of the Tau empire there many Caste of my people , there Caste of the Tau,Kroot,Vespid,Nicassar,Gue'vesa (Human), Galgs, Ranghon, Tarellian, Ji'atrix, Hrenian and Demiurg and we serve the great elder Aun'Va, Master of the Undying Spirit."he said in praise for his people. Spike had returned to the room with a parchment and quill in his claws he opened the parchment and stared writing
"Dear Princess Celesta' " i am very sorry for the late message but i would like to inform you that we have met a creature called a Tau he is called Cortex and the other amazing is that he can speak the same language we do. He also does have a rank he was in a army but he is not hostile and he is a very kind soul he seems to be a expert in speed and combat and his species seems so fascinating there is just so many stuff on him i need to learn also try to learn his own native tongue. and we would like to get a letter back as so as you can" 'From Twilight sparkle'
"Spike if you please"asked Twilight
"Sure Thing Twilight"said Spike as he with drew flames and the note looked burned
"why would you destroy your note with fire?"
"Huh oh!,no its magic he used to send the letter to her"
"Magic.... strange things happen I guess i wish my Kau'ui was still around too bad there gone" he said as he spoke to him self
"What was that you said Cortex?" Twilight asked
"oh its nothing you need to worry about" he said
"so all we do now is wait for a replay for Princess Celesta to send back a letter and-" a letter appears from spike and twilight beings to read the letter and her eye widen at what the letter said
"oh no oh no oh no oh no! Princess Celesta is coming here i have not completely cleaned up the library and she will be her any minute" just as she said this a bright light appeared in the library and there standing in the the middle was a White equine that stood a foot higher then Cortex him self she had wings longer then then rainbow and fluttershy and she had a horn longer then twilight or rarity's and her mane flowed as if it was blowing in the wind
"Hello my little ponies" she said in a soft voice they all bowed except for Cortex she then look toward Cortex's way" and you must be the Tau i believe" she said with a smile " Yes i am and you must be Princess Celesta its a pleasure to meet you" he said as he held out his hand" Same to you Cortex its a pleasure to meet a new creature as yourself" she said as they exchange a peaceful meeting, after a bit of time of Cortex telling about his past life the horrible tragic battle that happened and how he happen to arrive in this strange world and of his race there many forces, weaponry and tech level Cortex got a lot of information for his own thoughts about how each of the equines or ponies as they are called have each something called a element of harmony, like Rarity as generosity, rainbow dash as loyalty,Fluttershy as Kindness,Pinkie as laughter,Applejack as honesty and Twilight as Magic, and he learned of Celesta's role too to know that she is a goddess has lived 1000's of year's is immortal and can move the sun. What power and also to know she can move the sun and to know she has a sister that is almost the same and can move the moon.
"Amazing and you all protect this land?"he asked
"Yes we do but we don't have to worry a lot about dire situations and all the time"said Twilight
"Well i guess its time for me to leave i shale return at another time but royal duty calls" she said as she was about leave
"i would would to you talk again Cortex but i must take my leave and i would like to here more about how he is coping and how his life is going in in you some letters if that's ok with you Twilight " she said
"Of course i can Princess Celesta" said Twilight
"Goodbye my fateful student i will here of what happens on your adventures" she said as she teleported away
" Also Cortex i will be throwing you a party tomorrow"said pinkie as she left, the others said there goodbyes and had left tell there was only Cortex,Twilight and ,Spike had already gone to sleep during the long talk with the princess and so Twilight let Cortex stay at her place, she went of to her bed and cortex took to the coach and a chair do to the couch being to small
"well i guess everything is going better then i had thought i still worry over the Kau'ui and the La'rua of the Tau and the rest of my Shan'al fire caste soldiers they may have all died the day when we were attacked by the Necrons well i don't know what i could have done about that i wonder what happened to the Ethereal and Shas'o Kais and the others well i guess i worry tomorrow" he said as he drifted to sleep
Cortex awoke to the sun shining down upon him as he awoke to find himself still on the very small house from the look of it it seems to be around 6:30 or so, so he started to look throw his equipment and one of the objects he could not believe what he was seeing it was a tau commander Microburst Fragmentation Launcher, a powerful weapon only given to those that wear the XV46 Vanguard Commander Variant Void Battlesuit one of the most powerfulest weapons in the tau army he continued to look through his bag he also came across some EMP Grenade's along with some photon grenades and a Equalizer in there too also with his Pulse rifle he had as his first weapon he had earned joining in the empire in the past he remembers the times he spent with his La'rua before he became a Sgt and right hand man to Shas'O kais

Cortex sat on the edge of a tower as he watched many tau of the civilians pass by all in tow with there lives where not in danger at all in the world, if the empire were to fail... he did not wish to think of this, then he is surprised by a voice that camefrom behind him in the tower, he looked back and saw Shas'O Or'es'Ka the commander that went and battled in the karava system he goes to battle in an XV22 Stealthsuit. Similar to O'Kais, Or'es Ka's suit can be outfitted with a Flamer, Missile Pods, a Jetpack, a Stealth Field and a Shield Drone as upgrades. it also has a Multi-tracker, Shield Generator, and a Marker Drone distinguish his suit from that of his predecessor, as well as his use of such weapons as a Fusion Blaster which can stun vehicle crews and a Cyclic Ion Blaster that is a potent anti-infantry weapon.
"hello young warrior what troubles you?"he said in kind manner
"Well commander Shas'O Or'es'Ka i have been troubled by what may happen to the rest of the warriors battling on Kronus and i wish that i could battle with them so i could help them in there time of need: said cortex with a smothered expression
"its a fine thing to think of helping are fellow warriors in the field of battle but be cautions of what you say cause the battles are long and had especially against those humans and the ork barbarians and the soulless necrons but we fight for the Greater good and the peace of the universe" said the commander in a serious tone
" But i will see if i could put a word in for you and you team if you wish Young soldier" said the commander
"That would be very kind of you commander"said Cortex as the commander walked to leave the tower but stopped and asked "may i know your name soldier?" asked the commander as he turned around
" its Pvt Cortex Commander"said cortex, Commander stood still for a moment and said" well good luck in your duty Pvt.Cortex i may see you again someday" cortex saluted the commander good bye as he left, cortex was shocked to be speaking too one of the highest ranked commanding officers especially commander Shas'O Or'es'Ka the commander of a air caste force and one of the bravest.
Past end
Cortex was shaken out of his thoughts by Twilight coming down from the 2nd floor along with spike them both just looking tired for what looks like ether less sleep or they just slept wrong, ( from what i can tell i believe the reason is spike is tired cause he is at younger age and i believe twilight is like that cause of lack of sleeping) he thought" well good morning to you two" said cortex in a calm manner, it surprised Spike a little along with twilight they looked in his direction and sighed Twilight spoke first" oh hello there Cortex you startled me a second there we just came down to get ready for you to visit the town today so everpony can meet you in person cause the news had probably already spread knowing pinkie she has a party ready by now"said Twilight "well now that were up would you like something to eat" she said "i guess i could get a salad then and some water" said cortex "That's fine with me also i would like to ask what do your people eat any way?" Cortex stood up and started to speak of what tau eat" well my race it is mostly Vegetarians and very little do we eat meat, we would only eat meat for some festivals we would have had celebration's by my race only really eats as Vegetarians and not much more he said, while he was talking she was taking notes on everything he would say about his own people. and after a long breakfast they walked out of the library and set of to visit the town only to find it was empty Twilight knew where this was going as if this was normal to her and it was but cortex did not know and so they continued there walk which lasted for like 10 minutes until they reached a place at looked all pink and brown and white like (what do the humans call it candy? no,ice cream? maybe. i guess i will go with that.) he thought. they made there there way to the door and opened it to only see darkness (huh this is not the most strange thing i-) but before he could finish he was surprised by about what seems like the hole town in this one place, the pony called pinkie jump from the group of ponies and asked "so-do-you-like-the-party-do-you-do-you-do-you!" she asked with a happy smile on her face." i must say it was most unexpected i have to say its a good party as you say' pinkie grew even happier for the comment then he had a look towards the crowd it was had many ponies some did not mind he was not form here some were curious and some may seem a little scared, but do to the elements of harmony being friends with Cortex they all seemed calmer then he thought they would be around a new being, well the party went on with a flow and it was a very fun party for Cortex he had met many of the towns residents like two musicians one was called Vinyl Scratch and Octavia melody, Octavia is very talented musician in a soft type Which is calm and lovely and Vinyl Scratch makes music that makes the hole place shake literally shakes the place i also me a pony by the name of Lyra heartstrings and her friend bon bon Lyra is a musician as well and bon bon seems to run a candy shop he met a bit other of the others but one strange individual had caught his eye a few times someone that had a hourglass on his back side( i wonder who that is) Cortex thought after the party the place was a hole mess after wards the only ones left were Spike,Twilight,pinkie,fluttershy,applejack,Rainbow Dash, and Rarity along with Cortex they were all cleaning up the mess from the party Cortex Decided to help them cause of the nice party the through for him not to long after the place and been cleaned up and almost all had left as Cortex, Twilight and Spike were about to leave when rainbow came to talk to cortex
" all i wanted to say cortex was to apologized to you about before"she said as she rubbed the back of her head
"there is no need to be sorry my Cyan friend i have forgiven you already so you don't have to worry about it " said Cortex. Rainbow dash sighed in relief and took of towards her house and so Twilight and cortex walked back to the library with spike asleep on Twilight's back after about a 5 minute walk they made it back there Cortex ducked so not to hit his head on the door frame Twilight said her good nights and went to bed spike in tow. Cortex laid down on the couch to think "(sigh) i still worry about all of my fellow troops in my caste i know a lot of them died along side me but how did i live throw that i died to the Necron lord himself he killed me in cold blood i don't even know what Happened to Shas'O or the ethereal i guess all answer's come in time" he laid down and went to rest for the night
Cortex awoke once again to the morning sun shining down upon his face. he got up and proceeded to the kitchen to be able to get a glass of water form Twilight's fridge, he walked into the kitchen to see Spike sanding on a wooden stole cooking breakfast, making some type of flat food i believe it was called pancakes? ah i don't know i never lived much with the humans cause but they were very grateful to be joining us on the tau empire those who quit following that so called emperor.
"Oh good morning Cortex did you sleep well?"spike asked
"yes my sleeping was alright i just came down to get a glass of water to help start my day: said Cortex as he opens the fridge and pulls out a water bottle, he opens it and drinks it about half way before putting it in his pack and siting down at the table and starts a conversation with spike
" So Spike form your perspective how crazy is this town to you?" he asked as he sat in a wooden chair to think
"It mostly depends on what problems starts it, may get out of control or it can start small end quick before it gets really bad" Spike says as he finishes the pancakes and puts them on a plate and sets them down onto the table.
" But everything works out in the end"Spikes says happily as Twilight enters the room to gets to make a bit of green tea as she yawns, she notices spike and Cortex and walks over to join the conversation.
"Good morning Spike, good morning Cortex" Twilight says in a good mood, as she gets her green tea and sits down at the table as she levitates 3 pancakes over to her and she begins to eat them. they all enjoy a nice meal tell a knock comes at the door, twilight goes and answers it to see Lyra standing there with a Startled expression.
" Twilight we need you to come to the town hall, there is a meeting going on about a very strange white round thing has crashed in the Everfree forest!" she says in a hurried tone cortex walks up
"Did they see what is was that crashed in this forest?" Cortex asked with curiosity
"They say it looked like some type of white metal object it was giving off a strange blue glow" she said, but right after she finished Cortex was ruining as fast as he cloud Towards the forest at high speeds that would have made rainbow dash impressed, Twilight tried to follow after him only for not as he was already in the forest. she decided to go to the meeting to see what was Mayor Mare wishing to say.
Cortex never had run so fast in his life as he ran past ever Tree as he followed his radar towards the crash, he arrived at the crash site to see something he never in his life would have seen, there right in front of him was none other then a crashed barracuda of the air caste,
"i cant believe that this....."He says as he look at the crash sight from the looks of it the interior was destroyed it was in very bad damaged it looked as if it may never work again but it can be salvageable, so he went inside to see if the ship has anything left to find, this ship had many tools and equipment, tau tools littered the metal floor and some craftsmen papers lay with a few weapons, along with a few tau soldiers lying dead 2 on the floor and 2 in the cockpit,("yes... they are Air Caste i will need to make them a proper barrel ground so that they may rest in the afterlife") he thought as he continued through the ship as he came across the door to the armory or what remained of it any way.
he used his power sword and cut down the debris in his way so that he can get into the armory, most of the weapons and equipment were damage and looked like it would no longer work, he then noticed a drone in the far corner of the room it looked to be able to be fixed so he took out a tool box and begin fixing the drone back to its old self, after around maybe a hour he had got the drone started and all of its functions up and working.
"PROGRAMMING ONLINE, OBJECTIVE UNKNOWN...." the drone spoke in its robotic voice
"Well X-45 you can now come along and work with me" Cortex said in a casual voice
"OBJECTIVE ACQUIRED, NEW MISSION FOLLOW, PROTECT AND FIGHT ALONG SIDE SERGEANT CORTEX" the drone said once again in its robotic voice cortex nodded and the two went to bury the bodies of the air caste warriors
"May you find peace in afterlife"Cortex says in a sorrow and calm voice, he then hears some rustling in a near by bush he takes cover behind the tree with his drone, he sees creatures that look like the equines but... are much different, Black skinned, with holes in there legs there around 6 of them and they are all wearing some type of armor around them, he then sees one much bigger then the others move out for the woods.
"This is the thing that crashed in the everfree my Queen" the blackish equine said to the taller one
"Good... so what is this strange white thing any way?" The big equine asked('she kind of looks like the Celesta but i don't know if she is hostile or not' )cortex thought
" We are not sure my Queen but its been give off a very strange power reading of some type of power from it" he said once again
"Hmm.. power maybe it could be one for the hive to grow stronger, let us return to the hive for now i can sense some of the ponies coming are way we must not be found out just yet at lest not tell the wedding happens." the armored ones nodded and they all disappeared in a flash of green magic
"so it was around here i think" cortex heard one of the ponyville citizens as he walked out just as a few of the equines got closer they all gasped in awe at what they were looking at, Twilight walks up to cortex and asks
"Cortex what is this?"
" This is a barracuda an air fighter from my races technology it was one of the best things to pilot sadly i don't think i can fix it" he said
"Well i could get the princesses out here and ask to see if they can help Carry it back to my home for you to work on it"she spoke then a loud robotic voice that came form behind her made her jump.
" SERGEANT ARE THEY HOSTILE OR ALLY?" the drone asks cortex as it has its sniper weapon pointed at Twilight
" Stand down X-45 there are friendly's" the drone then lowers its weapon and stands by
"Cortex what is that?" she asked in amazement
"This is X-45 a tactical drone that can use a shield,sniper and a scanning function" Cortex says
"well that's an amazing thing of tech i have ever seen.., also i should say its getting late, let us head on back home to rest for the night" twilight said in a tired manner
" You can go i will be with you in a bit" Cortex said, Twilight nods and her,her friends and a few others that came with here go back towards the town
Cortex stays there for a hour and searches throw the ship i bit more, but he only finds a few left working devices and to his surprise a stealth suit and a bit more ammo for his weapons and after he is done he heads back to town with X-45 following behind him he enters Twilight's home he goes to the couch, he lays down (" i wonder what i should do about the ship and the strange blackish creatures i guess i can look into it in the morning") he then falls asleep getting ready for the next time events
