Prologue: A World of Dragons


It's another day at Ponyville and Derpy Hooves is carrying a huge package to the home of Twilight Sparkle, which is the library. After dropping the thing off, the crossed-eyed Pegasus pony knocks on the door.

Spike opens the door and answers, "Yeah, Derpy?"

"Package for Miss Sparkle," Derpy explains to Spike, her eyes move about a bit.

Just before Spike could speak, Twilight arrives outside, looking excitedly as she exclaims, "Yes! It's here, it's finally here!"

Twilight quickly signs for the package and paying Derpy before bringing the thing inside the package. Ben Mare is off on a trip to Canterlot with Nyx so they will be gone for a while. The pony smiles eagerly as she opens the package.

"What is inside the package anyway?" Spike asks Twilight puzzled. Something in the package sure got her all excited.

"Never mind, get the other girls. I want to show them this." Twilight explains to Spike with an eager smile on her face as she pulls some parts out as if ready to assemble the thing. "Take your time! This will take a few minutes or so to make."

Spike shrugs as he leaves the library to allow Twilight some time to get her machine assembled...

A while later, the rest of the Mane Six waits in the main room with Twilight and Spike near something covered by a sheet. Rainbow said, "All right, Twilight. You got us here, so what gives?"

"Why am I pulled away from my business for this?" Rarity ask Twilight impatiently.

"Ponies, ever wonder about other universes other than our own? If it shares the same timeline as we do but with different outcomes," Twilight ask her friends anxiously.

"Not 'dat Ah know o', no." Applejack remarks with a shrug.

"Well, prepare yourselves to see the possibilities; presenting...the Universal Viewer!"

Twilight removes the sheet, revealing some sort of huge machine with a monitor on it and a speaker. The ponies look at it in awe while exclaiming, "Oooooh!"

"So what is it?" Spike asks Twilight puzzled. What is this machine that her friend is so anxious on getting?

"It allows us to see other alternative universes! All I have to do is speak into the speaker, ask about any idea of universe and it will show up on the monitor!" Twilight exclaims excitedly to the ones listening.

"Ooooh, as if we can see into the real world where we are on TV and JusSonic is writing this right now?" Pinkie asks Twilight happily as she bounces up and down.

"...yes, let's go with that. Oh, imagine the possibilities! Go ahead. Tell me what kind of universe you want to see."

"Uh, here's one." Fluttershy said meekly. "Err, what if, when you were having your friendship report problem, you decided to come clean...about it?"

"Let's find out." Twilight said as she turns to the speaker and speaks into it. "Machine, what if, during my frantic search to find a friendship problem for my friendship report, I came clean to Princess Celestia about not having one instead of making a friendship problem?"

Soon the machine came to life, buzzing and making noises. The ponies saw something appear on the monitor, showing them some sort of universe as requested by Fluttershy...

"Wow!" Pinkie exclaims as she ate some popcorn when the show is over. "That's amazing."

"Yet so predictable," Rainbow remarks while rolling her eyes, "It changes one thing but the outcome is still the same."

"Okay, Miss Dash, you come up with a better idea." Twilight snaps to Rainbow, challenging her to come up with a better idea. The Pegasus pony pauses then glances at Spike, smiling.

"Okay, Egghead. Here's an idea. What if there's a universe where we ponies are dragons...and Spike here is a pony; Huh; How about it?"

"Let's see..."

Twilight speaks the request into the Universal Viewer...soon, the machine came to life as a show starts on the monitor...

Imagine a world where dragons roams along with sort of creatures and ponies are rarely seen or not. Imagine two dragons who rule them all...and one tries to repel centuries ago.

That indeed happened. On the moon in the current year, a dragon in armor looks at what used to be her home: Draconia

Moon Dragon looks furious. It has been thousands of years since her sister Princess Sun Dragon has imprisoned her year with the Elements of Harmony.

"Princess Sun Dragon...it's your fault...it's all your fault!" The Moon Dragon fumes furiously as she remembers what happens centuries ago...


Flashback


Lightning hits the lands of Draconia, the war between the forces of good and evil are drawing to a close. Moon Dragon glares at her sister, Princess Sun Dragon, both are in a major battle...but it looks like evil is about to win here.

"Sister...Princess Moon Dragon, please stop this, I beg of you." Princess Sun Dragon pleads to her sister, "If there's any good left in you."

"Forget it, sister, the weak and one who was unappreciated and ignored is no more," The evil nightmare known as Moon Dragon hiss at her sister. "You will soon fall and all of Draconia will be mine!!! Even the Ponies clan, what's left of them, must submit to me now."

"Moon Dragon, sister..."

"Shut up! I do not wish to hear another word from you! It's too late for any apologies, no hope left and all that!!! You have lost!!!"

The Dragon of the Sun looks down in sad. Her sister has felt unappreciated by the dragons, who slept through her night and ignores the wonder what she has done. Princess Sun Dragon tries to tell her time and again not to feel bad. There are those who appreciate Princess Moon Dragon's night. She just needs to give them a chance.

But Moon Dragon grew more jealous and hatred towards her sister, whose subjects begin to love more of her day ever since the fall of Professor Anarchy, a mad scientist alicorn who tried to bring chaos and madness to Draconia a long time ago. And so, through darkness and magic, she became a twisted version of herself.

"I'm sorry...please forgive me." Princess Sun Dragon said in sadness and determination as she uses her magic to uses the Elements of Harmony. The dragon must use this to stop her mad sister...at a cost.

Moon Dragon roars as she shoots out flames at her sister...but a force field from the Elements themselves blocks the attack. The Dragon of the Night charges in but by then, Princess Sun Dragon uses the Elements to make a rainbow and send it right at Moon Dragon.

The mad princess roars as the attack wraps her like mad, preventing her escape. Moon Dragon then finds herself being turned into particles as she roars out, "NOOO!"

"It's for your own good, sister. Farewell." Princess Sun Dragon said in regret.

"I HATE YOU!!!"

With that, Moon Dragon disappears, the particles are sent into the sky. Princess Sun Dragon watches as the remains head to the moon where they stopped: a dragon head appears in the moon itself. It is now Moon Dragon's home, forever and ever.

Just then Princess Sun Dragon yelps as something is happening to the Elements. They begin to fade color and turns into stone, landing right on the ground. The Dragon of the Sun saw her tiara disappearing from sight.

Princess Sun Dragon looks down in sadness, knowing what has happened: she and her sister are no longer connected to the Elements. The Moon Dragon because she has fallen to the darkness...

And Sun Dragon as she has lost her only friend...


End Flashback


Ever since that day, centuries ago, Princess Sun Dragon gave herself the task of raising and lowering the moon. The Moon Dragon was forced to watch, hating her sister for the 'wrongful imprisonment' and being stuck on the moon.

Yet, something else is inside the dragon, emotions of sadness, regret and love for her sister...but the darkness and hatred kept them at bay, releasing to let the true Moon Dragon come forth.

The Moon Dragon smirks sinisterly as she watch the stars move a bit. According to a prophecy that she saw in an inscription somewhere on the moon, the stars will allow the dragon to escape her imprisonment. And she will return to Draconia once more.

The Moon Dragon plans on capturing her sister and locking her up, as payback for what Princess Sun Dragon has done to her. And with the Elements of Harmony no longer connected to the two Royal Dragons, no one will defeat her. Eternal Night shall reign and so shall Moon Dragon.

"Prepare yourself, Draconia..." The Moon Dragon remarks evilly to her world of dragons. "For I, the true Queen, will return shortly..."

The Moon Dragon doesn't know it but there's still hope left...in the form of six Dragons...but that's for another time.

As the story truly begins, we see a book with a dragon head on it, opening up. The first pages say 'Once Upon a Time' then we see a beautiful country with the usual rainbows, castle and such. 

"Once upon a time, in the wonderful land of Draconia, there are two Royal Dragons who ruled together, making harmony throughout the land..."

We can see two dragons flying in the sky, one of them is a white female dragon and the other is a sapphire female one.

We now see the white one using her powers to raise the sun at dawn...with the other using hers to begin the night by raising the moon. We see them forming a Yin-Yang symbol via a sun and a crescent moon.

"To make this happen, the eldest uses her powers to raise the sun while the younger sister bring out the moon to begin the night. The two dragons kept the balance for the kingdom and their subjects, all different kinds of dragons."

Of course, things begin to change. The Moon Dragon saw the other dragons playing during the day time...but when it became night, all of them were upset. The little sister looks upset, feeling unappreciated...and jealous. With tears, she refuses to lower the moon.

"But as the years passed, the younger became resentful and jealous. While the dragons relished and played in the daytime made by her older sister, they shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the younger dragon refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn."

The older sister is seen trying to speak reason to her sister but she turns away in anger and disgust. The Moon Dragon's eyes open...turning evil. Black clouds pass her as she transforms into a black sinister dragon with turquoise eyes and insane armor of darkness and evil. The dragon scares the citizens as a new dawn of terror begins.

"The elder sister tried to reason with her but the bitterness in the young dragon's heart changes her into an evil monster of darkness called Moon Dragon. She vowed to not rest until the land is shrouded in eternal night."

The Sun Dragon knew that she has no choice so five powerful gems surrounded another one; she wore a crown and uses magic of the items themselves to stop Moon Dragon. The villainess screams in defeat as she is send to the moon, her shadow appears to it to this day.

"The Sun Dragon was forced to use the most powerful magic of the dragons known as the Elements of Harmony to defeat her younger sister, banishing her to the moon for all time."

Another page shows the dragon in the sky next to the sun and moon. With the Moon Dragon now banished, her sister must raise both of them, much to the awe of his fellow dragons.

"The elder dragon must now take the responsibility for the sun and the moon..."

"And harmony was kept in Draconia ever since." Another voice finishes. We see the book on the ground and who was reading: it's a purple dragon with a dark purple with a pink stripe in it hair as well as purple eyes. Her name is Twilight Sparkle, a student of the ruler of Draconia as well as the one mentioned in the book.

"'Elements of Harmony', huh," Twilight ask puzzled. She has heard of the elements but where has the dragon done so before. "I've heard of them, but where..."

Time for this Dragon to do some studying!

Chapter 1: Princess Sun Dragon's Request


Now in the world of Draconia, there are many types and classes of dragons besides the Royal ones living in the world today. They lived in harmony, but one type does not.

There are the Mind Dragons, which Twilight is one; generally the most intelligent of dragon classes with a particular gift for mind-based magic (such as telepathy and telekinesis), even if some are a lot better at it than others.

Then there are Storm Dragons. In general, the fastest and most agile fliers out of all the non-royal dragon classes, Storm Dragons can breathe ice and lightning as well as fire and have the ability to control limited amounts of air and water within a limited range (though some Storm Dragons are a lot better at that stuff than others).

There are also Worker Dragons. In general, the physically strongest and toughest of non-royal dragon classes and possessing the strongest flame breath, Worker Dragons also generally have the ability to control limited amounts of earth and fire within a limited range (once more, there ARE some that are a lot better at it than others).

And of course there are the Royal Dragons themselves: The most powerful, yet also rarest, dragon class period. Possesses the best abilities of all three of the main mortal dragon classes (Mind Dragons, Storm Dragons and Worker Dragons) combined and many times magnified. One of the best known examples is Princess Sun Dragon.

Of course, Twilight heard of another type of dragons: Changeling Dragons. Precisely as their name applies, these dragons are adept shape-shifters. They also have the ability to feed off love; the stronger the love they experience, the more powerful they become (potentially even powerful enough to perfectly mimic the abilities of particularly powerful dragons or overpower Royal Dragons in fair combat). In general, though, apart from their shape-shifting and love-feeding ability, their abilities are limited to standard dragon abilities (i.e. their strength, durability, eyesight, hearing, claws, teeth, flight and flame breath at precisely the level of average dragons and most Changeling Dragons don't have the class-specific abilities of Mind Dragons, Storm Dragons OR Worker Dragons unless they are feeding off love). However, given how powerful grown dragons tend to be AND the fact that Changeling Dragons CAN feed off love, it would still be unwise to underestimate them. It should also be noted that their ruler, Empress Metamorphis, IS much more powerful than typical Changeling Dragons even when she isn't feeding off love (she DOES have stronger versions of standard Mind Dragon, Storm Dragon and Worker Dragon abilities in normal form and her power when she isn't feeding off love is only slightly less than that of one of the Princess Dragons). Twilight has never seen any in their true form but heard that they live in another part of Draconia. She hopes that they don't try to come to Dragonlot anytime soon.

Twilight, wearing a book bag with the book in claw, is heading to the library in hopes to find out more information about the Elements of Harmony. Just then, three dragons named Twinkleshine, Minuette and Lemon Hearts, fellow unicorns. Not friends, no. Twilight doesn't want to make more friends because of her reading...and ore.

"Hey, Twilight, there you are!" Twinkleshine exclaims to Twilight, making her stop. "Listen, Moon dancer is having a party at the west castle courtyard. You're planning on going?"

"Oh, sorry, girls, but I got a lot of studying to deal with. No time, yes." Twilight said nervously. She doesn't want to go to any party or explain why. The dragon flew past the others, much to their notice.

"Ugh, does that dragon do anything but study? It makes one think she prefers books than actual friends, besides her brother and that pony Spike; Geez."

Twilight kept on flying quickly, mumbling, "Oh, I know that I've heard of the Elements of Harmony somehow..." The dragon kept on flying onward, passing by two dragons whose wave to her but Twilight ignores them.

Twilight arrives at a tower which holds the library, which is a second home for her ever since she became Princes Sun Dragon's student. The Mind Dragon slams the door open while calling out, "Spike, Spike, where are you?"

"Twilight, don't yell! I'm right here!" A voice groans a bit. Twilight turns to see the door swinging open, revealing someone that she slammed it into by mistake. It's a baby light purple with a light chartreuse alicorn, a pony with a green horn and purple wings, with a moderate sap green mane and tail, a greenish gray underbelly and light lime ears and chartreuse green eyes. His name is Spike, Twilight's pony assistant whom the Mind Dragon first met when he was an Earth pony was upgraded to alicorn status during an entrance exam to Princess Sun Dragon's Academy for Gifted Dragons.

"Found you, listen, I need you to get me n old copy of 'Dragon Predictions and Prophecies'." Twilight said as she head over to a case of books. The dragon then notices that Spike is coming up to her with a crushed present. "May I ask what that's for?"

"Well, if you must know, it was a gift for Moondancer, but it's ruined now." Spike groans as he drops the present. Twilight sighs in annoyance as she goes back to what she was doing.

"Spike, we don't have time for that right now! Help me, will ya?"

"But aren't we on break? We were supposed to have fun and you just want to make us do more work."

Of course, Spike could tell that Twilight isn't listening as she is using her powers to bring some books to her. The alicorn head to a ladder (he doesn't know how to fly yet) and climbs up it. May as well help his friend in finding what she's looking for.

"No, no, no, no, no! Ugh!" Twilight exclaims, looking through the books and getting rid of them, "Spike!"

"Found it, it's over here." Spike said as he took a book off a shelf with his mouth. The pony yelps as Twilight pulls both it and him right off the ladder, sending both onto the floor.

Twilight get the book from Spike and looks through it, grinning, "Ah! Good!" The dragon begins to read through it while her pony friend spots some books on the floors; must've fallen off the shelves when he fell. Typical, his friend is studying and Spike has to do all the work.

Spike picks the books up as Twilight looks through the pages, mumbling, "Elements, Elements...E, E, E...Here we go! 'Elements of Harmony: See Dragon in the Moon'," The Mind Dragon looks confused and worried. Does this has anything to do with the legend that she read earlier about how the Moon Dragon tries to take over Draconia but was banished by Princess Sun Dragon?

"'Dragon in the Moon; isn't that an old lizard's tale?" Spike asks skeptically while putting the books back into place. The whole 'Dragon in the Moon' story is legend in Draconia.

"Let's see...Dragon, Dragon...here we go!" Twilight exclaims eagerly. She found what she herself was looking for, "'The Dragon in the Moon, a myth from olden dragon times; A very powerful monster who wanted to rule Draconia, only to be imprisoned in the moon by the Elements of Harmony.'"

Spike kept listening to Twilight but was having trouble keeping his balance on the ladder. The dragon continues, "'According to legend, on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape and she will bring about nighttime eternal...'holy cow! Spike, do you got any idea what this means?!"

"Not really." Spike admits, but yelps as he lost his balance, sending him onto Twilight's head as his ladder falls to the other side. "Whoa!"

"Spike, take a note." Twilight said as she uses her magic to give Spike a paper and quill. Something must be done! After the alicorn slide off her back, Twilight continues, "It's to Princess Sun Dragon."

"No problem."

As Spike begins to write, Twilight spoke what he should put in the letter, "'My dearest teacher. My continuing studies of dragon magic have led me to discover, that we're on the precipice of disaster...'"

"Hang on." Spike mumbles as he is having trouble with a certain word which is 'precipice'. "'Preci...preci...'"

"Threshold."

"Thre..."

Twilight groans in annoyance, why must her assistant have trouble with certain words? The dragon tries again, "Err, brink?" Spike blinks at her in confusion. "Ugh! That something really bad is about to happen!"

Spike nods as he writes again. Twilight goes over to a hour glass that shows the image of the evil Moon Dragon, continuing, "'For you see, the mythical Dragon in the Moon is in face Moon Dragon and she's about to return to Draconia and bring with her eternal night. Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true. I await your quick response; your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.'"

"Spar...kle, okay, got it." Spike said with a nod as he finishes the letter.

"Good, now quickly, send it!"

"Wait, now?"

"Yes, of course!" Twilight insists sternly. She can't wait another second. Any delays and it could mean the return of Moon Dragon sooner!

Spike hesitates a bit, not sure if he should send the letter. The pony explains, "Not sure if I should do that since the princess is a little busy preparing for the Summer Sun Celebration and that's the day after tomorrow."

"Don't you see, Spike! The day after tomorrow is the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration!" Twilight exclaims, going close to Spike as she back them up a bit. The dragon looks at the sun in worry. "Yes, it's imperative that Princess Sun Dragon be told about this right away."

"Imper…impera..."

"Important!"

"Gah, okay, okay, fine," Spike yelps in alarm. His horn glows as he hits the note, sending it vanishing from sight. The alicorn has learned some magic which allows him to send messages to Princess Sun Dragon at any given time. "Oka, it's send but don't bother waiting for what you wanted."

"Spike, come on, the princess trusts me completely, he has never doubted me even once." Twilight said with a cool and calm face. After all, Princess Sun Dragon has trusted her reports so far, right? Just then a magic blast appears as a note appears. "Ha! What did I tell you? The princess obviously wants to take immediate action."

Spike clears his throat as he begins to read the note while a smiling Twilight listens, "'My dearest, most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. You know that I value your determination and that I trust you completely...'"

"Right..."

"...But you must simply stop reading those dusty old books.'"

Twilight gasps in shock and alarm. What is the princess saying?! That she doesn't trust her...on the Moon Dragon facts?!

Preparations are made for Twilight and Spike's flight to where they must go as according to the letter, the princess has already gotten a carriage for them to take.

As the two ready, they met up with Twilight's older brother, White Knight, a white dragon with blue hair who grins while saying, "You must be lucky that Princess Sun Dragon has asked you to look over things for where the Summer Sun Celebration is going to be at, Twiley."

"I still say that the princess should've listened to me." Twilight groans a bit.

"Relax, you will plenty of time to talk to her at the Summer Sun Celebration. I wish you luck, sis." White Knight said while hugging Twilight. "I betcha you can make some new friends."

Twilight looks down sadly while mumbling, "Or none at all..." She remembers the big reason besides her studying as to why she tried not to make friends.

Twilight and Spike heads over to the carriage, meeting up with a smiling dragon, a white Royal Dragon with long flowing light/green and purple hair, a golden tiara on her head, a golden collar with a jewel in the middle around her neck, and golden claws. She is none other than Princess Sun Dragon herself.

"Twilight, I wish you luck in the preparations." Sun Dragon said with a smile. "The instructions are in the letter that I send you."

"Princess, you must listen to me about..." Twilight begins to say in concern but the princess cut her off.

"I must be going. Good luck, my student." Princess Sun Dragon said as she flew off, most likely to prepare for the Summer Sun Celebration.

"But Princess!" Twilight shouted after her, but it was no use, the Princess Dragon had already left.

"Either she isn't taking your concerns seriously or the princess is up to something." Spike said with a blink. "She never blew you off before..."

"I got to prove to her that Moon Dragon is returning..." Twilight mumbles as she and Spike got into the carriage. Once both are in, the Storm Dragon Royal Guards pull the thing, taking them to the destination.

Unknown to them, Princess Sun Dragon was looking back in concern. The Royal Dragon knew that Twilight was right, that her sister is returning...but she has to pretend not to listen to her student so that she can find the magic of friendship inside to not only save Draconia, but her sister as well.

"Twilight, I hope you are still the one to save my sister." Princess Sun Dragon said quietly as she flew off once more.

Twilight groans as she sat in the carriage that the Storm Dragon Royal Guards are pulling, trying to figure out what to do.

Meanwhile, Spike chose that time to read the princess's letter back to her, "Ahem; 'My dear Twilight. There is more to a young dragon's life than studying, so I'm sending you to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this year's location, Dragonville."

Twilight glances as she saw some sort of country town up ahead. Must be Dragonville; why the princess chose this place for this year's Summer Sun Celebration is beyond her.

Spike continues the letter, "And I have an even more essential task for you to complete: make some friends." 

"Friends?" Twilight groans in disbelief while shaking her head. "Doesn't the princess remember why I chose not to make any more friends? Not since his disappearance?"

"Yeah, that Ben Drake guy." Spike said with a sigh. Twilight has told him this story many times before; that some dragon friend of hers has disappeared when some monster took him away. "But come on, that shouldn't discourage you from making more friends, right?"

Twilight shakes her head, not wanting to talk about friends right now. She has to figure out how to stop Moon Dragon or prove to her mentor that she's coming back.

"Well, Twilight, at least the princesses has arranged for you to stay in a library, right? Does that make you happy?" Spike asks Twilight, trying to show his friend the bright side to this.

Twilight pauses to think then smiles a bit, saying, "Actually...it does, you know why? Because I'm right! Okay, I will get the preparations done as soon as I can and then go to find proof to find the Moon Dragon's return." After all, the preparations shouldn't take that long to do, right?

"And you will make friends like the princess said, right?" Spike asks Twilight curiously as the carriage is about to land in town.

"One, she said to check on preparations and two, I am her student and I will do my royal duty. The fate of Draconia doesn't involve me making friends." Twilight scoffs a bit, making Spike sighs a bit. The pony is having more trouble as it is trying to convince his adopted sister that friends are important.

"Yeah, it is." Spike said with a sigh.

Soon the dragons came to a stop to allow Twilight and Spike to get out. The student grins while saying to the Royal Guards, "Thank you, sir," The two dragons roar a bit as they flew off, most likely to return to Dragonlot. 

Twilight looks around, about to head off to the first location. The Mind Dragon said, "I wonder where's the first place to go to at."

"Why not ask the other dragons? Perhaps they can tell us." Spike suggest to Twilight making her frown. "Come on, give it a chance!"

Twilight sighs but decides to humor her assistant. The dragon saw one dragon coming up to her, a female pink Worker Dragon with dark pink curly hair and blue eyes.

The pink dragon stops, making Twilight a bit awkward. Spike smiles as he insist, "Come on, give it a chance."

Twilight sighs then smiles while saying to the pink female dragon, "Err, hi there."

The pink Worker Dragon looked towards Twilight and Spike before she gasped in major shock as she leapt in midair, and then she zipped away from the dragon and pony, much to their confusion.

"What the hay is that about?" Twilight ask Spike a bit weird out. "Did I scare her?"

"Eh, female dragons, who can figure them," Spike remarks with a shrug, getting a glare from Twilight, "Well, minus you."

"Better, come on, we got a lot to do today." Twilight said as she got Spike on her back and flew off. There are a lot of preparations to check on before she can get back to finding proof of Moon Dragon's return.

Twilight and Spike flew over to some sort of farm area where the Mind Dragon must go to first. Spike checks the list that they were given before leaving Dragonlot which is the preparations that Twilight must check over.

"All righty, Summer Sun Celebration, Official Overseer's Checklist," Spike said as he begins to read the list. "First off, banquet preparations at Dragon Apple Acres..."

The trio arrives at a huge farmyard big enough to hold Worker Dragons in. Suddenly a yell is heard, "YAHOO!" Twilight and Spike are startled as they turn to see a Worker Dragon throwing her tail right at a tree, causing a lot of apples to fall out. It's an orange female dragon with green eyes, blonde hair on her head in a ponytail, and only wears only a cowboy hat. She shoots out a flame in triumph at her job well done.

"May as well get this over with," Twilight mumbles as the less she dawdles, the better. The Mind Dragon walks up to the Worker one with Spike, saying, "Hey there, good afternoon. My name is Twilight Sparkle..."

Twilight was cut off as the Earth dragon grabs her claw and shakes it both her own quickly exclaiming in a Southern accent, "Well, howdy, Miss Sparkle! Ah done pleasure 'ta make yer acquaintance! 'De name is Applejack, we here are Dragon Apple Acres sure like 'ta make new friends here!"

"Friends; Well, actually..." Twilight begins to say but Applejack releases her claw, giving her a wink.

"So what can Ah do yew fer?" 

Twilight's arm kept on shaking a bit until Spike manages to get it to stop; The Mind Dragon glares at her assistant who chuckles at this; Hoo boy.

"Well, I'm here to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration." Twilight explains to Applejack curiously. "So....any chance you're in charge of the food?"

"Sure do! Wanna sample some?" Applejack asks Twilight with a smile.

"Well, I guess as long as it doesn't take too long..."

The smiling Applejack flew off to a triangle and rang it like mad, calling out, "Soup's on, every dragon! Come on!"

Twilight and Spike gasps as a lot of dragons are flying to them. But they knew it, the two are dragged off to a table, getting dizzy and surrounded by Applejack and the rest of her friends.

"All righty, how about Ah introduce yew'all 'ta de' rest o' de Dragon Apple family?" Applejack asks eagerly. So these dragons are the rest of her friends.

"No, thanks, I really got to..." Twilight begins to protest but soon find herself being bombarded by the Dragon Apple family members who present her with some food of sorts.

"'Dis here is Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin; Red Gala; Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche; Apple Cinnamon Crisp..."

Applejack takes a deep breath for a moment then, after putting an apple in Twilight's mouth motions to two certain dragons. One of them is is big crimson colored Worker Dragon with sap green eyes, orange hair and is wearing a yoke while having some bit of straw in his mouth.

Another dragon is a child dragon with a golden yellow body and red hair that had a big red bow in it.

"...Big Macintosh, Apple Bloom and Granny Smith," Applejack said, finishing the introductions then motions to one final dragon sleeping in her rocking chair nearby. It's a very old pale lime colored female Worker Dragon with white hair, moderate red eyes and is wearing an orange scarf with red polka dots on her neck. This must be Granny Smith, "Granny Smitth, gittyup! We done got guests!"

Granny Smith snores a bit then wakes up, mumbling, "Eh, what; Soup's on? Oh, right, right, Ah is a coming, yeah..."

"Shucks! Ah done say 'dat they're part o' 'de family already!"

Twilight spit out the apple then gave a nervous chuckle. She doesn't want to be rude but the pony must be going already if she herself wants to get to finding proof of the return of Moon Dragon.

"Right, well the food situation is handled, so we will be on our way." Twilight said nervously.

"Aren't yew going 'ta stay fer bunch?" Apple Bloom asks sadly. Twilight saw a sad, dragon eyed look from the little dragon. She doesn't want to say 'no' but...

"Sorry, I have an awful lot to do and..."

"Awww..." The Dragon Apple Family said in sadness. Twilight looks and saw the disappointed looks on their faces. They got a new friend (in their minds) and she won't stay. It kinda made her feel guilty.

Spike smiles as Twilight sighs in defeat, "Fine." Everyone else smiles and cheers.

To Twilight, this is going to be a loooong day...

Chapter 2: Meet the Other Dragons


After a while of treats, Twilight and Spike finally leaves Dragon Apple Acres to the next destination. The pony glances at the list while saying, "Well, it's safe to see that the food's been taken care of. All right, next is the weather."

"Ugh...so much pie..." Twilight groans as she walks on with a full stomach. That pony has to endure a lot of sweets just to get away from those other members of Applejack's family. Spike glances into the sky as if looking for someone.

"Let's see...according to the list, a Storm Dragon named Rainbow Dash is supposed to be clearing the clouds..."

"Honestly? I think that Storm Dragon is doing a bad job. Anyway..."

Twilight didn't have time to continue as someone hit her very fast, sending the two crashing into a mud puddle. The Mind Dragon groans a bit as she find herself with a Storm Dragon on top of her. It's a light blue female dragon with rainbow hair and pink eyes.

The Storm Dragon got up and saw Twilight, chuckling, "Oh sorry, excuse me." The Storm Dragon flew upward, didn't see you there, egghead." The purple Mind Dragon groans in frustration. "Allow me to help!"

The Storm Dragon breaths out a cloud and breaths air on it, sending water right onto Twilight. Of course, while it got rid of the mud, it turns the poor dragon into a wet mess.

"Oops, overdid it. How about this," The Storm Dragon chuckles sheepishly. She then got rid of the cloud and flies around, forming a black tornado all over Twilight. "Yeah, that's it, my very own patented 'Rainbow Blow Dry'." Once the dragon is satisfied that she dry off the Mind Dragon, the Storm Dragon came to a stop, landing on the ground. "Now don't thank, you're welcome."

Of course the Storm Dragon looks surprised as she saw the result of her work: Twilight's hair is all puffy and messy like she just gotten out of the dryer. The one who did this tries not to laugh but does so anyway, falling to the ground. Spike laughs at his friend's hair as well.

"Ugh, typical; so you must be Rainbow Dash, right?" Twilight ask Rainbow with an annoyed sigh. That does explain the attitude.

Rainbow stood up, smiling proudly while exclaiming, "You got it! The one and only! Let me guess, you heard of me, huh?"

"I do know that you are supposed to keep the sky clear for the Summer Sun Celebration! My name is Twilight Sparkle, the princess send me to check on the weather."

"Right, sure, that will be done in no time, yeah. Just wait for me to finish practicing and I will get to it, okay?"

Rainbow sat on her back in mid-air, making Twilight puzzled as she wonders what this arrogant Storm Dragon is on about. The Mind Dragon asks, "What are you practicing for?"

"Come on, who else? The Wonderbolts," Rainbow exclaims eagerly as she points a claw at a poster hanging on a wall. It shows certain Storm Dragons in uniforms with lightning bolts on them. "Oh yeah, they will perform at the celebration tomorrow. I am going to show them my stuff."

"Wait, the Wonderbolts?"

"You got it."

"You're talking about the talented Storm Dragons in Draconia?" Twilight ask Rainbow in amusement. This Storm Dragon wants to join up with those guys?

"You got it." Rainbow exclaims eagerly. Twilight scoffs a bit then got an idea on how to get this dragon with an ego to clear the clouds away sooner.

"Give me a break. Why would they want a Storm Dragon who can't keep the sky clear for one measly day? Those Storm Dragons won't bother with someone like you."

"Hey, dragon lady, I could clear the sky in 10 seconds flat!"

"Prove it." Twilight said with a slight smirk. Rainbow has taken the bait and she didn't even know it.

Rainbow frowns a bit. She is going to prove this Mind Dragon that she could do her stuff and clear the sky in no time. As Twilight times her, the Storm Dragon flew up and clears the cloud with his fire breath and lightning very fast.

"Oh yeah, loop-de-loop and boom," Rainbow laughs eagerly as she sat down on a cloud, "Ha! How's that? 10 seconds flat! I would never leave Dragonville a-hanging!"

Twilight and Spike are both astounded and amazed. Rainbow was able to clear the sky in 10 seconds flat! Guess she wasn't all talk and no work after all!

"Looks like you're speechless, I mean look at her faces. You're a laugh, Twilight. Can't wait for us to hang out...if there's time; Later!" Rainbow exclaims. The Storm Dragon flew off eagerly to continue her practicing for the Wonderbolts.

"Cool, she's amazing!" Spike exclaims with a smile. He glances at Twilight's weird hair and chuckles, much to his friend's annoyance. Twilight grunts and flew off as Spike does his best to catch up. "Still, cool when you get to know it..."

Next up, the two are heading into Dragonville's city hall where Princess Sun Dragon is supposed to be for the celebration and to raise the sun. Another Mind Dragon is supposed to be decorating the place.

The inside of Town Hill looks wonderful and such; whoever is in charge is doing a good job. As Spike marks the list, he said, "Decorations." The alicorn looks up...then sighs lovingly. "Wow...beautiful."

"Yes, I agree, the decor is coming along nicely." Twilight said while glancing at the decorations and accessories. "Hopefully this should be good and I will get to the library very soon; Beautiful...and the accessories."

"I wasn't talking about the decor! I mean...her..."

Spike gave a loving sigh as he points to a dragon checking on the decorations. It's a light azure grey Mind Dragon with a purple hair and light blue eyes. The dragon is using her magic to check on the color ribbons.

"No, no, absolutely, no, no," The Mind Dragon sighs as she kept on choosing what ribbons to use. Spike sighs happily as he appears to be flying in mid-air, hearts came out of his head and in his eyes.

"Wow...so how's my mane? Is it straight?" Spike asks Twilight hopefully. The purple dragon arches an eyebrow at this. It doesn't take long for her to realize what's going on her: her baby assistant has a crush on this white Mind Dragon; Cute, sort of.

Twilight walks up to the other Mind Dragon as she spoke up, "Good afternoon, miss..."

"One moment, I'm 'in the zone' so to speak." The white dragon said, not seeing Twilight at first. She uses her powers to tighten the ribbons with sparkles. "Perfect, sparkles always work; Rarity, you are a talent indeed!"

Twilight can guess that the white dragon is talking to herself and Rarity is her name. As she turn around, Rarity herself spoke up, "Well, then, how can I help you....AAAARGH!" The Mind Dragon was screaming for a good reason: she just saw Twilight's poofy hair! "Dear goodness, darling; what happened to your coiffure?!"

"Huh? Oh you mean my hair, right?" Twilight ask, blinking a bit. "Well, long story but no time. Just let me check on the decorations and I will be out of your hair shortly."

"Out of my hair? What about YOUR hair?! Oh, this won't do at all! Something must be done!"

Rarity quickly pushes Twilight as Spike follows them, floating in mid-air behind the white dragon, sighing lovingly.

"Wait, where are we going? Hey, help!" Twilight protests in worry. This white dragon is even more crazier than Applejack and Rainbow!

Rarity takes Twilight to a shop that she owns, working her hair and giving her outfits to try one, despite the purple dragon insisting that she doesn't want any clothes at all. Rarity insists on it.

"No, no...too green, too yellow, too poofy. Not poofy enough, too frilly, too shiny." Rarity said, giving out clothes on Twilight while she 'tries them' out. Finally, the unicorn has some sort of sparkle clothes with jewels and such. "Good. Now tell me, you were going to explain as to where you're from, correct?"

Rarity begins pulling on the straps, tightening the dress, making Twilight yelps. It's hard to breathe with this thing on. What is this white Mind Dragon trying to do? Suffocate her?

"I've...err...been send from...Dragonlot to..." Twilight tries her best to speak while Rarity tighten the dress some more.

"What, Dragonlot?" Rarity asks upon hearing her, causing the Mind Dragon to release the straps and for Twilight to fall to the floor. As Sun Dragon's student got up, the eager Rarity flew over to her, "My goodness! Oh, I am so envious! Imagine the glamour and sophistication...why I always dreamt of living there! I cannot wait to hear all about Dragonlot. Oh, I can guess that we're going to be best friends, you and I."

Twilight's eyes widen in worry. Rarity wants to be her friend? The white dragon glances at the emeralds on the dress, making her frown and flew off, asking, "Emeralds? Oh, what was I thinking? Won't do! I will get you some rubies! Be right back!"

As Rarity heads off, Twilight decides to make a break for it. The dragon flew towards the door while screaming, "Come on, before she decides to dye my scales a new color!"

Spike sighs at Rarity though Twilight uses her magic to pull himself out of the shop with her.

Later, Twilight and Spike were walking through Dragonville as the latter was riding on the former's back.

"Wasn't she wonderful?" Spike asked lovingly. 

"Argh; Focus, Spike," Twilight groans in annoyance by the alicorn's love towards Rarity. She wants to get this list done so that she can get back to finding proof. "What's next on the list?"

"Let's see...music, it's the last one." Spike explains, reading off the last item on the list. Twilight sighs in relief; just one more preparation to check on.

Just then, the two heard birds singing and came through some bushes, seeing another Storm Dragon teaching some birds in a tree to sing. It's a pale yellow one with long pink hair and cyan eyes who looks like a cute one. 

A blue jay is singing a bit off-key, much to the Storm Dragon's notice as she said, "Oh my...everyone, err, please stop." The birds stop singing as the female dragon flies over to the one singing. "Excuse me? Not to be mean, but your rhythm sounds a teeny, tiny bit off." The bird nods in understanding. "All right, let's try again. A-1, a-2... A-1, 2, 3..."

"Hello!" Twilight calls out. This causes the Storm Dragon to gasp in fright as her birds flew off, startled, "Oh, sorry! Didn't mean to scare your birds off! I'm here to check up on the music and it sounded so beautiful."

The yellow Storm Dragon lands next to Twilight, looking away shyly while clawing the ground; the purple dragon smiles nervously, looking around. It's obvious that this yellow dragon is shy, not sure what to say.

"I'm Twilight Sparkle. What is your name?" Twilight ask the dragon with a smile.

"Uh..." The yellow dragon then begins to mumble a bit. "Mynameisfluttershy..."

"Sorry, what was that?" Twilight asked the yellow dragon, whose name is obviously Fluttershy but she spoke too softly for the Mind Dragon to catch it.

"My...mynameisfluttershy," Fluttershy mumbles shyly again as she backs away.

"Sorry, didn't quite catch that." Twilight said. Fluttershy whines a bit in sadness, the Mind Dragon feels bad. Perhaps it's not a good idea to continue the conversion further.

Just then, the birds flew back onto the tree, much to Twilight's notice. She spoke up, "Oh, well...your birds are back. So everything is in order. Keep up the good work."

"Thank you." Fluttershy said meekly.

"Okay." Twilight said awkwardly. Perhaps she won't get much trouble with this dragon. As she backs away, the Mind Dragon turns to Spike just as Fluttershy turns to look at the trio through her long hair, "Okay, so that was easy..."

When Fluttershy noticed Spike, she gasped in shock and delight as her eyes widened, "A BABY PONY!" She exclaimed loudly in delight, startling some of the birds into flying off the tree again.

Twilight yelps as Fluttershy flew past her, knocking the dragon away. She lands near Spike and exclaims in awe, "Oh, I have never saw a baby pony before, even an alicorn one! Oh, he's so cute!"

"Well, well, well!" Spike exclaims to Twilight with a smirk. About time some dragon gives him full attention.

"Oh, and he talks, too? I didn't know baby ponies could talk. That's...that's so wonderful...I just don't know what to say!" Fluttershy exclaims, flying into the air in joy.

Twilight got back up and quickly puts Spike on her back, ready to go before Fluttershy does something crazy. The Mind Dragon said, "Well, in that case, we better be going." The two begins to head off...with Fluttershy following.

"Wait, wait!" Fluttershy said as she started following Twilight and Spike, "What's his name?"

"Oh, my name is Spike." Spike said to Fluttershy with a grin.

"Hi, Spike. My name is Fluttershy." Fluttershy said in delight, making Twilight roll her eyes. "I still can't believe it, a talking pony! What do ponies talk about?"

"Well, whatcha wanted to know?" Spike asks Fluttershy with a grin.

"Absolutely everything!" Fluttershy squeals. Twilight's eyes widen as she groans in frustration. This is going to be a long walk/talk; the purple dragon just knows it.

Spike comment, "I started off life as an adorable purple Earth pony foal with a green mane and tail, but Twilight here upgraded me to alicorn status (though I was still a foal, I now had purple wings and a green horn) as her entrance exam to Princess Sun Dragon's Academy for Gifted Dragons. But when I asked if I had a family, the Sun Princess just said nothing, and well, Twilight was kinda harsh to me at times like I say maybe 10."

Twilight was a bit tired as Spike is finishing his story up to Fluttershy, "Aaaand, that's my story of my life until now. Wanna hear about today?"

"Oh yes, please do!" Fluttershy giggles. Twilight then sighs then smiles as the two has reached the destination: the library where Twilight and Spike will be staying at for a while.

"Oh wow, sorry! How did we get here so fast? Yes, this is where I'm staying at while in Dragonville!" Twilight exclaims, wanting to end this conversion ASAP. "My baby pony, poor dear, he needs his sleep."

"Wait, no, I don't. It isn't..." Spike was cut off as Twilight toss eshim off her back, sending him right onto the ground.

Spike glares at Twilight as she spoke in a baby like way, "Aww, wook at that. He's so sweepy, he can't even keep little wittle bawance." The purple dragon then gave an innocent smile to Fluttershy, in hopes that she would get the idea and leave.

"Oh, you poor thing," Fluttershy said to Spike in sympathy as she picked him up before she flew inside the library as she spoke, "You simply must get into bed."

Twilight, however, zipped into the house and pushed Fluttershy out, insisting, "Yes, yes, we will get right on that, goodnight." With that, the purple dragon closes the door right in the Storm Dragon's face.

The library looks dark and hard to see, but at least Twilight can see that no dragon is elsewhere.

"Geez, weren't you a bit rude to that dragon?" Spike asks Twilight in disappointment by his friend's action. "She was being nice."

"Sorry, I didn't want to but right now, I gotta convince the princess that Moon Dragon is coming and we are running out of time!" Twilight explains desperately to Spike. "I must be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy dragons trying to make friends all the time when I don't want any! Where's the light?"

Twilight got her question answered as lights are turned on...followed by a bunch of voices yelling, "SURPRISE!" The dragon jumps with Spike as in the library are now a bunch of balloons, decorations, followed by ponies!

A blower was in Twilight's face as she groans in annoyance; Just great.

Of course, who could show up at that moment than the first dragon that Twilight first met upon arriving in Dragonville...the pink one that is.

"Surprise," The pink dragon giggles much to Twilight's annoyance. "You see? I threw this party for you! My name is Pinkie Pie BTW! Oh, were you surprised? Huh? Were you, were you, were you?!"

"Ugh, you know, libraries are supposed to be quiet." Twilight groans in annoyance as she heads off, with Pinkie following her, chatting some more.

"Oh come on, how silly is that? I mean, what welcome party would you get if it's quiet? I can tell you two words: 'bo-ring'! When you got here, I realize, after you you were all 'hello' that, gasp, I never saw you before! If I never saw you before, that means it's because you're new! I know every dragon, and I mean every dragon here in Dragonville, and if you're new, that means you haven't met anyone yet! If you haven't met anyone yet, you don't have any friends!"

Twilight roll her eyes as she pours something in her drink in hopes to settle down. The dragon drinks it while Pinkie continues talking as she motions to the party, "Since you have no friends, you got to be lonely and that makes me sad! Then I had an idea which is why I went gasp! So I just throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party, inviting everyone to Dragonville! You see? You got lots of friends!"

To Twilight's dismay, the dragons that she met, AKA Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy appears with smiles on their faces. They want to be her friends? Just then, the Mind Dragon yelps as something inside herself begins to burn up...she turns round, showing a red face.

"Uh, yew all right, sugar cube?" Applejack asks Twilight in concern. The new dragon's face appears to be red, as if...

Suddenly Twilight burns more fire than usual as she became a flaming dragon and flew off in alarm. The other dragons are startled by this. What came over here?

"Awww, she's so happy that she's crying!" Pinkie exclaims happily, not fazed by what just happened.

Spike glances at Twilight flying upstairs in a hurry and saw what she put in her punch and takes it. The alicorn saw a fire symbol on the label and realize what his friend just put in.

"'Hot sauce'; I guess Twilight's fire breath got even 'hotter'." Spike remarks. He looks up just in time to see Pinkie grabbing the hot sauce, pouring it right onto a cupcake, much to his disgust, "Ick!"

The others look more disgusted as Pinkie eats the cupcake happily, not minding the hot sauce at all. Upon seeing her friends' weird out looks, she asks puzzled, "What? This stuff is good!"

The dragons chuckle and laugh a bit. That Pinkie Pie can be sooooo random!

Twilight groans as she does her best to get to sleep in her bed. Of course, one problem: the music and party was so loud that she's trying to use a pillow to drown out the noise.

And to add more annoyance to injury, Twilight still can't do research and find any proof of Nightmare Moon's return. This is not good at all! The Mind Dragon glances at the clock, groaning.

Spike came into the room, grinning with a lamp on his head while calling out, "Hey, Twilight! Pinkie Pie is playing 'Pin the Tail on the Dragon'. Wanna play? You loved that game!"

"Ugh, no! Honestly, all these dragons in this town are crazy!" Twilight exclaims to Spike in annoyance. "I mean, do you even know what time it is?!"

"Honestly, yeah. It's the eve of the Summer Sun Celebration, remember? The dragons have to stay up so they don't miss the princess raising the sun. I know you don't wanna make friends but come on, that dragon you spoke of would've wanted you to do so. Lighten up, it's a party."

Twilight roll her eyes as her assistant leaves the room. Her, make friends; the Dragon mocks what Spike said at first, "'Lighten up, it's a party'. Bah! Here I was hoping to find time to learn more about the Elements of Harmony...but silly me! The whole ridiculous friend making has kept me from it!"

Twilight sighs in sadness as she think back to the REAL reasons she prefers to have as few of friends as possible. The dragon never told anybody about the real reasons why she never made friends. The studying thing is the only reason that Twilight has told.

One of Twilight's real reasons is the guilt over - failing a certain friend named Ben Drake whom she was falling more - more than twelve years ago and figuring that, the fewer friends she has, the less the odds that she has to go through that guilt again. The only dragons that she made friends with so far are the princess herself, and Twilight's old babysitter Lady Symphony.

Twilight wonders where Lady Symphony was lately.

Twilight then turns around with her pillow, recalling the legend, "'Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape and she will bring about nighttime eternal." The Mind Dragon glances at her book which she took that explain the legend and looks at the moon with the image of the Dragon in the Moon itself. "Oh, I hope that the princess is right...I hope that it really is just an old lizard tale."

Twilight is worried as to what would happen either way.

Just then, Spike is heard calling, "Twilight, let's go; Time to see the sun rise!"

Twilight sighs as she prepares to head out. Hopefully the dragon can talk to Princess Sun Dragon and explains her worries to her mentor.

Chapter 3: Moon Dragon Returns!


Rarity's decorating of Town Hall was so beautiful, much to the notice of every dragon, even Twilight. Everyone is there, waiting for Princess Sun Dragon to raise the sun up for every dragon to see.

As Twilight with Spike on her back waits, Pinkie flies up to them exclaiming, "Wow, isn't this exciting? Are you excited, because so am I! I have never been so excited, except for that time when I saw you flying into town and I went gasp but honestly, who can top that?"

Twilight roll her eyes a bit then looks up front. Fluttershy conducts some birds that she was teaching earlier in their singing as a spotlight goes on another dragon at a podium. It is a female Worker one with moderate phthalo blue eyes, a light cornflower bluish gray with a lighter streak mane, a pale, light grayish amber coat, yellow spectacles and a white collar with a green thing in front. She is the Mayor of Dragonville.

"Ladies and gentle dragons; As the Mayor of Dragonville, it is my honor to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!" The Mayor announces making the crowd cheers. They have waited all this time for this moment and now, it's finally here! "In just a few moments, our town of Dragonville will witness the magic of the sunrise to celebrate the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce you all to our ruler of our land, the same dragon who gives us the sun and moon each and every day of the year. The good, the wise as well as the harmony of all of Draconia..."

Twilight glances at the moon for a moment then gulps as she could've sworn that the Mind Dragon herself has seen the shadow on the moon disappear from sight. That doesn't look good at all.

"Ready?" Fluttershy ask her bird friends with a smile on her face.

"And now, Princess Sun Dragon," The Mayor booms out. A fanfare begins to play as Rarity pulls the curtain with the spotlight going down. For a moment, the dragons expect their princess to be there to begin raising the sun...

Except for one problem: Princess Sun Dragon is nowhere in sight! This confuses Rarity. Wasn't the ruler supposed to be here?

The crowd gasps as Twilight gulps, "Not good, this cannot be good at all!" The purple dragon knew what's going on...and it isn't good at all!

"Dragons, try to stay calm! There must be a reasonable explanation!" The Mayor exclaims to the dragon whose looks worried and alarmed. Princess Sun Dragon must've has a good reason for being delayed, right?

"Oooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding, huh huh?" Pinkie asks excitedly. "Is she hiding??" Twilight on other claw suspects that her teacher isn't hiding or playing a game at all.

Rarity went into the back to see what's taking the princess so long. The white Mind Dragon flew in, landing on the balcony while exclaiming, "The princess is gone!" The dragons gasp in shock and horror. Their princess is gone?

"Wow, she is good."

At least, Pinkie Pie thought that's the case. But then she screams upon seeing something on the balcony itself: a cloud of purple smoke that appears to be laughing.

"Oh no," Twilight said, her eyes widen as something appears out of the smoke: a black dragon wearing armor. "It's Moon Dragon!" The Mind Dragon was right all along! The evil Dragon in the Moon has returned; the sight of the Royal Dragon gone corrupted causes Spike to faint and fall off his friend's back.

The dragons look horrified and stunned. They have no idea whom this fiend is that has taken the princess's face. Moon Dragon gave an evil smile while saying, "Ah, my beloved subjects. Oh, it has been so long since I've seen your sun-loving faces...well, some of them anyway."

"You jerk! What did you do to our princess?!" Rainbow demands furiously. She and Applejack fly up and try to attack Princess Moon Dragon directly (Rainbow using her lightning breath, Applejack using her fire breath and BOTH using their strength, claws and teeth) without success.

The villainess uses a magic wave to knock the two dragons to floor, taunting, "Foolish mortals. Did you REALLY think I could be defeated by brute force by the likes of you?"

Rainbow admits, "Given Applejack and I are two of the best athletes and fighters in Dragonville? Yeah. Kinda. I mean, a combo like what we just did could flatten any dragon short of a Royal."

Princess Moon Dragon taunt, "Your precious Sun Dragon already tried and failed to 'reason with me' and I imprisoned her someplace she can only escape in the extreme unlikelihood of my defeat."

Pinkie says, "At least she actually tried."

"Anyway, why do you want her? Am I not Royal enough for you? Do you know who I am?"

"Ooh, ooh! More guessing games," Pinkie exclaims excitedly, thinking that the Moon Dragon is playing a guessing game. "Let's see...err, Hokey Smokes? Wait, how about Queen Meanie? No, no! Black Snooty, Black Snooty!" Applejack has to stuff a claw in her friend's mouth to keep her quiet to avoid provoking the evil Royal Dragon from attacking.

"What; do I no longer count?" Moon Dragon scowls as she flew over to Fluttershy, scaring her and her animals, "Especially after my imprisonment for a thousand years?" The Royal Dragon flew over to the frightened Rarity and held her chin. "Tell me that you recall the legend. Did you not see the signs?"

"I did and I know who you are!" Twilight exclaims, getting Moon Dragon's attention. "You are the Dragon in the Moon...Moon Dragon!" The other dragons gasp in horror and fright. They've heard of that story, along with the holiday that was said to be named after Moon Dragon herself.

"So some dragon does remember me...then you know why I'm here."

"Well, you're here...err, to..."

"Remember this day, little dragons, for it will be your last! Because fro, now on! This night will last forever!" Moon Dragon laughs sinisterly as storm clouds appear overhead, frightening the dragons there, even Twilight who gulps in worry as Spike got back on her back, looking worried.

With Sun Dragon imprisoned, there appears to be no more hope in stopping Moon Dragon!

The Moon Dragon laughs sinisterly. Fluttershy comment, "Without sunlight, most plants can't survive. And, admittedly, while we ARE omnivores in the truest sense, plant eaters ARE still an important link in the food chain. Plus, we are cold-blooded and, with permanent night, it will eventually get intolerably cold." 

Princess Moon Dragon comment, "I can provide special plants that thrive on moonlight and magical heat to those who loyally serve me."

The Mayor isn't about to let her fellow dragons be manipulated into joining someone who is willing to make eternal night. She calls out to the Dragon Royal Guards while pointing a claw at the evil one, "Seize her! She knows where the princess is!" 

"Stand back, you fools," Moon Dragon shouted as the Dragon Guards charge towards her. 

The guards yelps as the evil dragon send lighting at them, then turns into a mist of smoke, swirling out of the hall. The good dragons look worried. Without their princess, the night will move on forever...and all their plants and good lifetime will be gone.

"Come back here!" Rainbow exclaims, trying to chase after the evil dragon but the mist got away. "Nighttime...forever..."

Applejack bitterly comments, "'Dis is a real gem of a mess!"

Pinkie, cheerfully missing the point, comment, "I LOVE gems; we can use gems as money, accessories OR food, depending on our needs."

Rainbow sighs in sadness...then notices Twilight flying away with Spike hanging on her back. The Storm Dragon asks suspiciously, "Hey, where is she going?"

Spike groans as he slept while protesting, "We gotta stop...Moon Dragon..."

"We will but you got to get to bed. You've been up all night, Spike." Twilight said as she fly up to the bedroom.

"You gotta let me come and fight...I can help." Spike said to Twilight with a mumble.

"Absolutely not, Spike! You are not going and that's that!" Twilight exclaims a bit harshly to Spike. 

Spike yawns, too tired to argue with Twilight about this further. The Mind Dragon put her pony assistant into bed while saying softly, "Sorry, Spike, you're just a baby pony after all. I promised someday to make it up to you..."

After making sure that Spike is sleeping, Twilight turns the lights off and heads downstairs to the library and begins using her magic to look through some books. The dragon is frantic. She got to find something that could stop Moon Dragon. 

"Elements...elements...oh, not good," Twilight groans as she tries to look through the books for any mentions of the Elements but to no prevail, "Ugh; how can I stop the Moon Dragon without the Elements of Harmony?!"

Suddenly, Twilight yelps as a familiar Storm Dragon appears, flying in front of her while demanding, "Okay, what are the Elements of Harmony? How did you know about Storm Dragon, huh? Are you a spy?"

Suddenly, Rainbow yelps as Applejack pulls her by the tail, sending her to the floor. As the others came into the library, Applejack said, "Calm down, Scales, she ain't no spy! But Ah betcha she knows what's going on; Right, Twilight sugar cube?" 

Twilight hesitates as the other dragons look at her, obviously wanting to know. Then the Mind Dragon sighs, knowing that she has no choice but explains herself now. Twilight knew that they will keep on insisting until she gives in.

You see, I read about the prediction, of how Moon Dragon is destined to return." Twilight explains with a sigh. "The only thing that can stop her is mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony...but I don't know what they are, where to find them...or what they can even do!"

"'The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide'," Pinkie Pie said aloud as she looked at a book.

Twilight look surprised as she flies to where Pinkie Pie has found the book, pushing the pink dragon aside. The Mind Dragon ask in shock, "Where did you find that?!"

Pinkie bounces by as she replied in a sing-songy voice, "It was under 'E'!"

Twilight sighs a bit. Unbelievable that one pony was able to find something when the Mind Dragon couldn't. Still Twilight takes the book out and opens it to begin reading.

Twilight read out loud, "There are actually MANY Elements - though only six MAIN elements. The main elements all require each other to work, but the bonus elements; though not technically necessary to work the other six and, in fact, useless without the main six; DO make the collective elements even stronger." 

Pinkie sneak in, "That last part must be foreshadowing for future adventures." 

Twilight continues reading on, "So far, only five Elements of Harmony are known. They are Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity and Loyalty." Her friends Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Rainbow listen carefully from left to right. "The sixth is the mystery. The last known location of the five Elements is in the ancient castle of the Royal Dragon Sisters."

Of course, as Twilight continues, not her or any one of her new friends saw that a familiar mist was watching from a window, "It is in a place known as..."

Twilight gulps as she and the others finished, "The Everfree Forest!"

The dragons arrive at the outskirts of a large strange forest, not one of them move. Most of them heard the legends of the place and anything that lives in there. They are hesitating. The dragons knows that the Elements needed are in there...but do they really want to go in there? 

Pinkie, of course, happily bounces on while exclaiming, "Come on, let's go!"

"Wait, hang on, stop," Twilight exclaims, causing Pinkie to stop in her tracks. "I like the offer of you dragons coming with me...but I prefer to do this on my own."

"No can do, sugarcube! No way we are lettin' any friend o' ours go into 'dat creepy place all by yourself!" Applejack exclaims in determination as she and the other dragons begin to walk to the forest. The place may be scary but they can't let their friend go in by herself to face the dangers. "We're stickin' 'ta yew like caramel on a candy apple!"

"Especially if there's any candy in there," Pinkie exclaims randomly. She notices Twilight giving her a weird out look. "What? Those things are good!"

Twilight sighs as she saw the other dragons going in the forest. The Mind Dragon want to protest but there's no point in doing so. She is stuck with these dragons so, after shaking her head, Twilight flew up to catch up with the others.

The dragons fly through the forest, looking around. This place is dark and spooky looking, Twilight wonders why the Royal Dragons would have a castle in a place like this...and she could've sworn that something is watching...

"So...have any of you dragons been here before?" Twilight ask the other dragons curiously.

"Heavens, no; why, the place looks absolutely dreadful!" Rarity exclaims with a shiver. "Even if we're dragons, this place is enough to freak us out!"

"Plus 'de jungle ain't natural at all." Applejack said with a cringe. "'De sun never shines here, magic almost never works an' there are things in 'dis here jungle 'dat makes yew wanna scream."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Twilight ask the other dragons nervously. Not one of them some familiar smoke appearing, causing shadows to come out of hiding.

Suddenly Rainbow came out of the shadows, smiling devilishly while speaking in a spooky voice, "Noooooo ooooooone knooooows! Wanna know why, huh?"

"Come on, Rainbow, stop it!" Applejack exclaims in annoyance. But her friends just slink towards Pinkie, Rarity and Flutterashy, creeping some of them out a bit.

"Because any one who comes in here...never comes out!"

Fluttershy comments, "This forest contains some of the nastiest creatures in all Draconia."

Pinkie puts in, "As well as this weird voodoo lady - or is that for later on?"

Rarity puts in, "The point is, like we insist before, Twilight, there is no way we are letting you do this alone."

Suddenly without warning, a fireball almost hit the dragons near a cliff, making them yelp in alarm. A bunch of Slicers, giant mantises, appears, roaring right at them.

"Whoa, watch it!" Rainbow exclaims as she claws at one Slicer, knocking it back. "Fluttershy, Slicers coming right at ya!"

"Oh goodness, oh goodness," Fluttershy exclaims as she flew in to save Rarity who was almost stomped on by a Slicer. Rainbow quickly uses her fire breath to assist Pinkie into chasing off more of those creeps.

"Wow! This is different than the actual version since Moon Dragon sent monsters instead of making a cliff since after all, most dragons CAN fly AND possess great enough durability where great heights wouldn't even be a minor problem." Pinkie exclaims happily. Her friends have no idea what she's on about and prefers not to ask about that right now.

Twilight uses her magic to fend off but more of those creeps kept on going after her. Applejack saw that she needs help as one Slicer knocks the Mind Dragon down.

"Hang on, Twilight! Ah is a-coming!" Applejack exclaims as she flew in and punch one of the Slicer away. That helps Twilight get up but more of those guys are coming.

"Oh, what do we do, Applejack?" Twilight ask in worry. Those Slicers are surrounding them all...and the others are too busy with their own Slicers to help them.

"...Twilight, Ah want yew...'ta git down an' not do anything."

"What?! Are you crazy?! You will need my help to fight these guys off!"

"No, Ah ain't crazy an' Ah don't need help." Applejack said to Twilight softly. "Yew will be safe."

"That isn't true!" Twilight exclaims to Applejack in an unsure way. How will she know that the Mind Dragon would be safe should she not do anything?!

"Listen...it may not make sense but what Ah will do next will save yew. It's a wise decision so git down...yew will be safe; 'Dat's 'de honest truth."

Twilight hesitates but her eyes gleam as if she wants to trust Applejack. So the Mind Dragon quickly ducks...then the Worker Dragon works as she shoots out a huge flame that makes a huge wave. The Slicers yelps as the attack hits them all, sending the mantis monsters packing.

"Phew." Twilight said with a sigh of relief. Applejack did it, she took all those Slicers out with one attack. If the Mind Dragon stood up at that moment, she may have gotten hit as well!

Eventually, the last of the Slicers was forced to flee in defeat, not used to fighting dragons. Fluttershy sighs, "Wow...sorry if I sound exhausted. I am not used to handling anything than a bunny or two."

Twilight smiles to Applejack who cracks her knuckles in triumph. The Worker Dragon was telling the truth, that she will be safe. Amazing…

Unknown to the dragons, a familiar wisp saw this, looking a bit ticked off. It isn't over yet so the thing flew up ahead...and hit some sort of monster in the shadows. It begins to roar while the thing begins to make duplicates of itself for some reason...

Chapter 4: Elements revealed


The dragons continue their way through the forest. They have survived one attempt by Nightmare Moon to stop them, but there will be more to come. As Twilight press on, Rainbow continues talking about the previous battle.

"And while we were busy with those other Slicers, boom! Applejack went super nova and save you in the nick of time!" Rainbow exclaims eagerly. "Heck, I didn't know that she could do that."

"Yew done never asked." Applejack said to Rainbow with a slight smirk on her dragon face.

"Anyway, I was there, I am grateful and...look, we gotta..." Twilight was cut off as a bunch of new creatures appear in the group's way, "Manticores!"

Indeed, there is Manticores right in the group's way, but Twilight is sure that these guys are smaller than dragons, but these ones are twice the dragon size. The Mind Dragon suspects that Moon Dragon must've been up to her tricks again.

"We gotta get by these guys!" Twilight calls out as Fluttershy looks concerned while staring at one Manticore.

One Manticore jumps right at Rarity who quickly dodges the attack and kicks the thing down. The white Mind Dragon remarks, "Take that you ruffian!" Of course, another Manticore roars in her face, causing her hair to go flying back. "My hair!"

Rairty gasps as she ran from the attacking Manticore. Fluttershy in concern spoke up, "Wait," But Rarity didn't seem to hear her at all.

The Manticore chasing Rarity yelps as Applejack got on top of it, beginning to ride the big guy like at a rudio. The Worker Dragon cheers while calling like a cow dragon, "YEEHAW! Get along, little doggie!"

"Wait."

Another Manticore swipes at Pinkie Pie who happily dodges it. The pink dragon slip one of the Manticores a packet of her special 'hot sauce so hot even most dragons (who usually have a very high tolerance for intense heat) can't stand it.' (The same hot sauce Twilight tasted earlier)

The Manticore that Applejack was riding threw her off, causing the Worker Dragon to call Rainbow, "Whoa, doggie! All yers, partner!"

"On it," Rainbow exclaims, saluting as she flies right at the Manticore that Applejack rode.

"Wait!" Fluttershy tries to call to her friends but again, no one pays her any attention. Rainbow flew around making a black tornado to fight off the Manticore but it slaps her with her tail, sending the dragon crashing to the ground.

"Rainbow," Twilight gasps as her friend lands in front of the group. More of the Manticores appear, growling viciously.

The dragons scoot their claws while the Manticores did the same thing with their paws. Then the battle begins. In addition to the dragons' strength, claws and combat breaths, they could also use earth and air control powers (in the case of the Worker Dragons and Rainbow Dash respectively), telekinesis (in the cases of Twilight and Rarity) and Pinkie Pie's party cannon.

Of course, in addition to the Manticores being super-sized and able to create duplicates, they also produce duplicates AUTOMATICALLY upon forceful defeat (i.e. you subdue one via brute force, literally five more take its place), as all the heroes except Fluttershy find out while doing the fighting. They ALL manage to subdue AT LEAST three EACH with their dragon strength, combat breaths and claws (which creates a small army). It looks like this fight is going to take forever.

Twilight groans, "Okay. This is bad. We subdued the first six of these Manticores and 30 more took their places. Then we overpowered THOSE 30 and we now have 150 Manticores to deal with."

Applejack snaps to Twilight, "Save 'de fancypants math; 'De fact is, we can't give up; Not wit' so much at stake."

"I'm not saying we give up. I'm just saying we try to come up with something smarter before we're too exhausted to deal with Moon Dragon. Trying to take down these monsters physically only creates more."

Fluttershy finally speaking up and getting the others' attention, said, "Not smarter; just kinder," This causes the dragons to stop their fighting, looking confused by what the Mind Dragon just said. She flew over to the original Manticore as he is waking up, "Oh, you poor thing. You aren't evil. You're just misunderstood." The Mind Dragon rubs her head on his paw. As everyone else at her, especially the Manticore, the Mind Dragon saw a thorn in the said paw. "And look, you have a thorn in your paw. No wonder you're so cranky. Now, hold still, I promise this will only hurt for a second and then the pain will be all gone." Fluttershy removes the thorn in the original Manticore, who gratefully licks her, calls off his duplicates.

As the Mind Dragon giggle happily by what the big guy is doing, all the Manticores except the original disappear and even the original shrinks back to normal size (which is bigger than a pony, but smaller than a grown dragon). 

"Awww, you are a little old baby kitty, aren't you? Yes you are, you are." Fluttershy said in a cutesy like voice. The other dragons smile. The Manticore is defeated...with kindness.

As the dragons go by Fluttershy and the Manticore, Twilight stays behind for Fluttershy who caught up, with her hair sticking up. The Mind Dragon, amazed, asks, "How did you know about the thorn in the paw?

"I didn't KNOW. I just strongly suspected. I AM, after all, a professional animal doctor. His anger seemed to be more based on pain than actual meanness. I just know that sometimes, all we need is a little kindness."

Twilight pauses to think about what Fluttershy said and smiles. She has shown real kindness. The Mind Dragon follows her friends as they continue their quest for the Elements of Harmony.

As the dragons leave, not one of them saw the thorn that Twilight removed changing into familiar smoke, looking a bit upset. Once again, her plan was stopped but Moon Dragon won't give up just yet. She goes after the female dragons once more.

Deeper in the forest, the dragons move on, trying to avoid hitting each other by accident and the other trees. Fluttershy pauses, recalling Twilight's argument with Spike (she and her friends overheard her before coming into the library earlier).

"Umm, Twilight, why were you harsh to Spike earlier on? He just wanted to help." Fluttershy ask Twilight in concern.

Twilight admit, "Okay, so maybe I AM sometimes harsher with Spike than I mean to be. But I'm only strict with him because I care that much about him. Yes, he's an alicorn, but he's still a kid. Really, I try not to be any harsher with him than a stern but caring parent would be. I'm just trying to be a responsible care-taker for him, though, as aforementioned, I admit that I probably DO sometimes overdo it. If we make it out of this, though, I promise that I'll try very hard to make it up to him."

"Have you always been harsh to him?"

"That story I prefer to wait for another day. Please, we got to focus on this mission."

Fluttershy nods in understanding though her thoughts were interrupted by Rarity groaning while shivering, "Argh! My eyes need a rest from all this muckening mucky!" Suddenly everything went dark. "Not literally."

"Not good. Why that ancient ruin could be right in front of us and we wouldn't even know it." Twilight said in concern. Unknown to the dragons, the same mist went pass them and into the trees. The dragon shivers a bit. "Brrr, the wind is getting cold." Of course, the gang begins to bump into each other.

"Oh, sorry; didn't see you there."

"Right here...ugh, it's cold." Rainbow said, shivering from the cold. The wind is getting mighty chilly.

Applejack heard a mud splash, causing her to lift up one foot while mumbling, "Hang on. Ah done think Ah stepped in something. Brrr, the wind is getting mighty cold." Suddenly Fluttershy screams in terror. "What? It's just mud an' a cold wind."

Suddenly Applejack jumps away as she realizes why Fluttershy was really screaming. One of the trees seems to came to life and shows a scary face. In fact, there's more like it! The female dragons scream in fright and cold. Obviously, another one of Moon Dragon's work as she whip up a VERY cold wind which makes the situation even scarier since dragons ARE cold-blooded.

Every one of the dragons screams in fright...well, not all of them...

To the dragons' confusion, Pinkie Pie was laughing while making faces at a tree and making funny noises. Twilight looks confused. What is that crazy dragon think she's doing?

"Pinkie, are you crazy?! Run!!" Twilight exclaims frantically to Pinkie.

"Oh, dragon girls, don't you see?" Pinkie asks her friends happily. The other dragons look confused as she begins to sing.

Pinkie: When I was a little dragon
And the sun was going down...

"Oh, tell me she's not." Twilight said in annoyance. Is Pinkie doing another one of her random acts again?

The darkness and the shadows,
They would always make me frown

"Yes, she is." Rarity said to Twilight sheepishly.

I'd hide under my pillow
From what I thought I saw
But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way
To deal with fears at all

"What is the way, then?" Rainbow asked in confusion.

She said: Pinkie, you gotta stand up tall
Learn to face your fears
You'll see that they can't hurt you
Just laugh to make them disappear
Ha, ha, ha!

To the dragons' surprise, after Pinkie laughs at a scary tree... the tree disappears from sight. The dragon even uses her flame breath to cool the air all around them. That sounds fun and amazing so the other dragons join in, laughing along. Even Twilight is having fun.

So, giggle at the ghostly
Guffaw at the grossly
Crack up at the creepy
Whoop it up with the weepy
Chortle at the kooky
Snortle at the spooky
And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna...
HAHAHAHA...heh...
LAAAAAAAUUUGH!

Soon all the scary faces disappear...and the dragons combined their six sustained blasts of flame, causing the cold wind to disappear. They then all land on the ground, laughing in delight.

"Wow, Pinkie." Twilight giggles a bit. "I can't believe that I'm saying this...but that was fun!"

"I know. That was fun!" Pinkie giggles happily. The dragons continue laughing until they recover and got up to keep on going.

Moon Dragon is nearby, fuming. She will find a way to stop those dragons. But after what she will do next, the evil dragon got some pony to visit...

Spike woke up and saw that Twilight is gone. The baby alicorn sighs but begins to get some chores. He hopes that his friend and the others will come back safe and sound.

As Spike was helping himself to a snack, a voice spoke up, "Little pony..."

"Huh? Who's there?" Spike asks in worry as he looks around, "Sun Dragon; Twilight?"

A puff of familiar smokes appears as Moon Dragon stood in the room, giving an evil smile to the dragon.

"Moon Dragon," Spike exclaims to Moon Dragon in shock and alarm. "What are you doing here?!"

"Coming to check on my future subjects of course! And I got to admit, I notice something about you when that purple unicorn who reveals me earlier." Moon Dragon said with a sly grin. "From the looks of you, you are her little friend."

"Personal assistant, but who's counting?" Spike asks with a shrug while getting back to work. "Look, shouldn't you be trying to make it Eternal Night or something?"

"Little pony, listen carefully! Aren't you worried that that dragon treated you like a slave?" Moon Dragon asks Spike madly. "You got to admit, she didn't bring you with her to try to stop me, leaving you here to do chores all alone."

Spike said to Moon Dragon sternly and in defiance, "Twilight cares for me."

"She cares about nothing! All you are to her is a slave. A pansy! A wussy! She keeps making you do all the hard work. Rearranging books? Honestly?! And that's not the worst, is it?" Moon Dragon hisses evilly to Spike, trying to get him to see that Twilight treats the pony like a slave.

Moon Dragon then made the whole room dark, leaving only herself and Spike visible. The pony looks startled as the villainess made images on all the times that Twilight was harsh on him, name calling and unintentionally injuring him. It likes that she never like him at all.

"Hoo boy," Spike said, seeing all those images. It's like Moon Dragon has picked into his mind, seeing what he has experienced before.

"You see?" Moon Dragon asks with a smirk to Spike, "Would you want to stay with someone who treats you like a slave, even injuring you?! But under my care, that would be different. You will never be treated like a slave; my subjects are treated equally under Eternal Night. You will get that equality but only if you join me. I can each help you find out who your true family are. Do you want that?"

"...no." Spike answers. This surprises and shock Moon Dragon. That isn't the answer she wanted.

"Pardon," Moon Dragon asks Spike with a deep frown.

Spike comment, "No. I know Twilight. Yeah, she has a hard time connecting to others, but she is not deliberately mean. She makes mistakes, sure, but she has never given me real reason to doubt she really cares about me. If anything, she cares TOO MUCH. And, yeah, she works me fairly hard, but she works HERSELF more than TWICE AS HARD. Besides, I may not be as heavily into books as Twilight is, but I've read enough comic books and seen enough cartoons to know a brainwashing attempt when I see one. And THIS definitely qualifies. So, thanks, but no thanks."

Moon Dragon screams, "You are a fool! You refuse my help?! Do you not even want to know who your true family is at all?!"

"She is my family, the only one I got, Moon Dragon." Spike said to Moon Dragon. "Have you thought about your own family during your banishment all these centuries; As in Princess Sun Dragon whom you imprisoned?"

Moon Dragon hesitates, some of her wants to harm Spike for even bringing up Sun Dragon...but the rest appears not to want to.

"You're lucky that your friends will fail and I am in a good mood...and when Equestria is finally mine, you will pay for not taking me up on my offer!" Moon Dragon hiss to Spike as she disappears from sight.

The baby pony sighs in worry. He hopes that Twilight and her friends find the Elements of Harmony and stop Moon Dragon before it's too late...

The dragons continue their way through the forest, Pinkie leads the way, but stops. Her friends crowd around her and saw that they are now in front of a river that is churning choppy, making it impossible to walk across.

"Any idea how to get across this," Pinkie asks her friends puzzled.

Fluttershy comment, "This shouldn't be a problem. After all, we can all fly." 

Rainbow put in, "Some of us much faster and more gracefully than others."

Suddenly the dragons yelp as a huge wave splash them. What did that? The females heard crying and came through the bushes. Sure enough, there's a purple sea serpent with orange hair and a mustache, half of it appears to been cut off in the water, the reason why it's impossible to cross because he was crying his eyes out while making his tail flop around.

"What a world, what a world!" The sea serpent sobbed.

Twilight looks concerned. Something has this guy upset. The Mind Dragon begins to ask, "Sir, if you don't mind me by asking, why are you crying?"

"I...I don't know! Why, I was sitting here, minding my own business when this tacky cloud of smoke whisked by me and cut off half of my beloved mustached! I look horrid!" The sea serpent explains to the dragons who doesn't seem a bit faze by the hair part. "And worst yet, I am starving! There isn't any fish in this river, they all disappear! No fruit or nothing!"

The sea serpent sobs some more while causing more water to splash onto the female dragons. Rainbow groans in annoyance, "You got to be kidding me!"

"'Dat's what 'dis fuss is about?" Applejack asks the sea serpent skeptically. She tell him, "Look, to be honest, while we do sympathize with you being starving, we DO have a world to save, which means we just don't have time to feed you right now. Rainbow, could you please freeze the lake AND this guy with your ice breath? We can thaw him and the lake out after we're done dealing with Moon Dragon, when we'll also have plenty of time to give him a proper feeding."

"Applejack, how can you be so insensitive," Rarity suddenly scolds Applejack then come over to comfort the sea serpent. "Why, look at him; Just wonderful luminescent scales."

"Yeah, I know." The sea serpent said with a sigh.

"As well as your expertly coiffed hair." Rarity complimented, making the sea serpent blush at the compliment.

"Yes, yes, I know." The serpent said while rubbing his orange hair.

"And your wonderful manicure." Rarity said with a smile.

"Why, yes! It's all so true!" The serpent exclaims with a gasp of drama.

"All of it is ruined with your mustache...and worst yet, you're hungry! You shouldn't continue having an empty stomach like this." Rarity said with a sad and worried look on her face.

"Hideous and hungry; Oh, I cannot move on like this!" The sea serpent sobs some more.

"Well, a crime against fabulosity as well as a hunger crime...I cannot allow both to go uncorrected." Rarity said in determination. She flies over and grabs a sharp scale from the serpent, pulling it right off. The sea serpent screams in shock and alarm.

"What did you do that for?" The sea serpent asks Rarity in confusion as the dragon held her scale in her hands. Her friends look confused, what is she going to do?

Twilight begins to ask Rarity, "Rarity, what are..." She was cut off as a sound of something being sliced is heard. The other dragons gasp in shock as the sea serpent groans dramatic before falling. For a moment, it looks like Rarity has stabbed him...

But in reality, Rarity has cut off her own hair, leaving it now shortened. With a smile, the Mind Dragon ditch the scale and use her magic to make the hair itself glow pink. It lifted up and attached itself to the sea serpent's ruined mustache.

The sea serpent looks surprised and happy upon seeing his new mustache piece...enough that he straightened up and cries again, this time in joy, "Oh, my mustache! It's wonderful..." He looks himself over in the water.

"Yes, you look smashing." Rarity said as she uses her magic to give a couple good-sized drums full of food to the sea serpent. "I was saving this for the trek but you need it more than we do."

"But your beautiful hair, Rarity," Twilight said in concern at Rarity's short hair. The white Mind Dragon has to give up the rest to help the sea serpent.

"Oh, it's fine, really. Short hair is in this season anyway. Plus...it'll grow back." Rarity said, trying to brave and not so upset while looking at her hair.

"So do mustaches." Rainbow whispers to Twilight making, her smile a bit. Just then, the Mind Dragon spotted that the river has calmed down.

"The river is calm, we can cross now! Come on!" Twlight insists as she begins going through the river. "That way, we don't have to use our wings and energy!"

Suddenly Twilight yelps as the sea serpent lift his tail up, making a bridge. He smiles while saying, "Allow me. It's what I can do to thank you."

The dragons smile as they cross the serpent to get through the river. Rarity has shown Geneorsity and it helps them continue on their way now.

The group moves on forward through the forest, they should be getting closer to the structure. Twilight then saw some sort of ruins up ahead, much to her eagerness.

"Yes, that's it, the ruin that held the Elements of Harmony, we made it!" Twilight exclaims excitedly. It's time to get to that ruin.

As Twilight fly towards the ruins, Applejack calls out, "Whoa, sugar cube; wait fer us!"

"We should almost be here."

Suddenly Rainbow stops in front of her, Twilight yelps as the Mind Dragon almost ran into her. The Storm Dragon said, "Listen, I think we may run into more trouble so how about I go fly up ahead and do some scouting? Just to be safe. I can come back very quickly."

"Are you sure?" Twilight ask Rainbow in concern.

Rainbow commenting, "I'm one of the few dragons to ever crack the sound barrier (even if it WAS only once - when I was seven years old)." The Mind Dragon mutters the last part to herself as she flew up ahead.

"Yeah, especially since we wouldn't need a bridge just like the actual series!" Pinkie exclaims happily, making the others look at her oddly. "What?"

Rainbow flew up, looking around. So far, so good; the dragon was about to call her friends that the coast is clear when a voice spoke out, "Rainbow Dash..."

"Huh? Who's there?" Rainbow demanded as she looks around, seeing a thick fog that surrounded the woods. The Storm Dragon prefers herself for any sign of trouble.

"Rainbow Dash..."

"Come on! I ain't scared of you! Show yourself, jerk!"

"We have been waiting eagerly for the best dragon all over Draconia." The voice said, much to Rainbow's notice.

"Who is?" Rainbow ask curiously, wondering whom the 'we' ones were referring to.

"Well, you, of course. Who else could it be?"

"Really, me; Wait, of course it's me. Who else could it be? Heh heh. Well, when you see the Wonderbolts, can you tell them? I was trying to be with those guys for like ever!"

"Oh, we won't do that...because we want you to join us the Shadowbolts!" The voice answers. Rainbow saw whom it belong to: a head of a trio of Storm Dragons who wear outfits identical to the Wonderbolts, only dark and sinister looking with different lightning symbols, that came out of the thick fog. The Storm Dragon blinks a bit as the one who spoke, the leader, spoke, "We are the greatest, the most powerful dragons in the Everfree Forest and soon all of Draconia! Of course, we need a captain. The most magnificent..."

"Yeah," Rainbow said with a smile, especially the dragon is referring to her.

"Swiftest..."

"You got it..."

"Bravest and fastest dragon there is." The Shadowbolts leader explains to Rainbow with a sly grin.

"Yeah, it's all you!" Rainbow exclaims with a slight chuckle. That dragon describes her to the max. What the Shadowbolts leader said made her more excited.

"We need...you."

"YAHOO, cool! Sign me up! Just let me get back to my friends and let us deal with Moon Dragon and we have a deal!"

"No, Rainbow Dash! It's either them or us!" The leader hiss to Rainbow, making her look shocked and alarmed. To her, it sounds like the Shadowbolts won't let the Storm Dragon into their group unless she do the unthinkable. "Abandon your friends or your dream. Which is it?"

Rainbow is worried and hesitant. She wants to be part of the most awesome group in Draconia...but would it mean abandoning her friends to do so? Would the Storm Dragon actually do it? What can she do?

Rainbow heard Twilight's voice, "Rainbow, what's going on?" The Mind Dragon looks through the frog and gasps upon seeing the Shadowbolts. Not good! It appears that Moon Dragon is trying to tempt Rainbow into doing something terrible! "No...Rainbow," Of course, the Shadowbolts leader see what she's about to do and made her own eyes flash, causing the fog to get thicker and harder for the Storm Dragon to hear her friend. "Rainbow, don't listen, Rainbow..."

Rainbow looks back but couldn't see her friends. She can hear them screaming and suspect that they could be in danger. Not good while Rainbow went over her choices in her head. What could she do?

"Well, we're waiting?" The Shadowbolts leader asks patiently to Rainbow. Finally, the Storm Dragon nods, giving her answer.

"You..." Rainbow said. For a moment, the Shadowbolts leader smirks, thinking that his group has did it, that the Storm Dragon is going to abandon her friends. That is until Rainbow continues, "I mean, thank you...for the offer but I'm going to say no. I gotta keep my friends safe, you know?"

The Shadowbolts look shocked as Rainbow flew back to the other dragons. Their plan to tempt her has failed. They frown and turn into the same smoke before going into the ruins. Looks like Moon Dragon has failed once more.

Twilight looks surprised as Rainbow lands in front of her and the others. The group smiles as they cheer for her. For a moment, the Mind Dragon has feared that the Storm Dragon would give in to the dark offer but she didn't!

"Hey, you dragons okay?" Rainbow asks her friends with a smile.

"We're fine...for a moment, I thought..." Twilight said with a happy smile on her face and a look of relief.

"Come on, I would never leave my friends hanging, no way!"

Twilight smiled. Rainbow has indeed cared for her friends, showing Loyalty to them. That's something that came into the Mind Dragon's head as they flew on further into the castle itself.

Chapter 5: Fight Against Moon Dragon


The dragons arrives in the ruins, looking amazement. The place is abandoned, haven't been used in years since the fall of Moon Dragon centuries ago. One thing's for sure; If the Elements of Harmony are here...

Twilight stares at a structure in front of the group. Despite the place looking run down, at least it held up five certain stone items in front of them.

"Whoa...come on, Twilight. Ain't what 'dis you've been waiting fer?" Applejack asks with a grin to Twilight.

"Yes, the Elements of Harmony! We've found them!" Twilight exclaims with a smile. Rainbow and Fluttershy flew up, picking up the stones and putting them on the floor carefully. "Be careful. We don't want anything to happen should they break." The Mind Dragon smiles a bit. At least now the dragons have a chance.

Pinkie begins counting the Elements to make sure that they've have them all, "1, 2, 3, 4...wait, there's only 5!"

"Yeah, where's the sixth?" Rainbow asks in worry as Fluttershy put the last stoned Element down. Something's not right. Shouldn't there be six Elements instead of five?

"According to the book, once all five are present, a spark will cause the sixth Element to be revealed." Twilight explains to the dragons as she lean down in front of the Elements. Perhaps if the Mind Dragon were to do this spark, the Elements can be used.

"An' what in 'de hay is 'dat supposed to mean?" Applejack asks Twilight puzzled, not sure what her friend means.

"Not sure but maybe...stand back. Not sure what's going to happen."

Twilight stands back and closes her eye. Her horn begins to glow a bit near the Elements. The other dragons suspect that the Mind Dragon is going to try to activate the Elements themselves in hope to use them.

"All right, come on, y'all, she needs 'ta concentrate," Applejack suggest to the other dragons. They all decide to head outside. Twilight will need concentration to figure out the Elements.

Of course, as the dragons went outside, purple smoke appears and heads to Twilight and the Elements. It's of course is Moon Dragon ready to strike. Suddenly it forms a tornado and picks the Elements up. Twilight open her eyes and gasp in shock as she saw what's happening.

Twilight's friends heard her as they rush back into the castle, "Twilight!" She needs their help.

Twilight can watch as the Elements are trapped in the tornado, the Mind Dragon exclaims, "The Elements!" She jumps in, Twilight must get those Elements back or all is lost!

Soon an explosion occurs as Twilight and Elements disappear from sight. Her friends rush up and gasp in shock. They were too late, their friend and the Elements themselves are gone!

As the dragons look around frantically for any sign of Twilight, Applejack calls out, "Twilight, where are yew?"

"Look!" Rarity gasps. The dragon points a hoof at a castle tower. Something glows brightly from the window. That must be where Twilight and the Elements are at now!

"Come on, we gotta help her!"

The dragon flies quickly to the tower. Twilight needs their help more so than ever. Suddenly Fluttershy gasps as a small army of supernatural warriors appears in their way, "Eep!"

"What are these things?" Rarity asks in shock and worry.

"Moon Dragon must've sent these creeps to keep us busy but no one is keeping us from our friend!" Rainbow yells furiously as she charges through some warriors knocking them down. "Come on! Our friend Twilight needs us!"

The dragons nod as they quickly fight their way through the warriors with their abilities and weapons. Twilight needs their help and no one, not even these guys, will get in their way.

Pinkie fires some sort of cannon at the warriors, sending them packing while commenting, "This party cannon is useful for more than just setting up parties in a hurry."

"Twilight, hang on. We're coming once we take 'de guys out." Applejack mumbles as she uses her Earth powers to send the warriors packing.

Twilight groans as she found herself in a different room of the castle. Suddenly, the Mind Dragon coughed, and looks up. She gasps as Moon Dragon is laughing with the Elements floating around her. The Mind Dragon is a bit scared.

"You are a weak little fool, aren't you, Twilight?" Moon Dragon ask Twilight in amusement. "You think the Elements could save you?! You are wasting your time!"

"I...no, I refuse to! A lot is counting on me! Every dragon is!" Twilight exclaims with a frown, trying to act brave.

"What, those dragons who consider you their friend but you wouldn't accept them?" Moon Dragon asks with a scoff. "Or the ones who you think are your friends? Please! You and I know that they are disappointed in you."

Twilight yelps as the room glows dark. The dragon looks surprised as she saw an image of Spike exclaiming, "You are a slave master! You don't care for me! You just treated me like a slave!"

Twilight looks worried as an image of her brother appears, saying, "You are a disappointment, Twilight. It's no wonder why you let our little brother down when you let that monster killed him. You're better off dead too."

Suddenly, Twilight looks sad as a brown dragon appears, saying, "You let me down, Twilight...you let that Demon Dragon take me. Why? I thought..."

"You see?" Moon Dragon asks sinisterly as the images continues shooting out insults. "Every dragon you know is disappointed in you, even that one whom you failed to protect."

"No...you're wrong." Twilight said, recovering. "You're trying to use tricks...even if I did some disappointment...and I acted harsh...I am not a disappointment. I do my best to help my friends, my family and my loved ones."

"You really are pathetic...but a determined dragon. It's no wonder why Sun Dragon spoke kindly of you before I imprisoned her. Perhaps you could be of use to my kingdom." Moon Dragon said thoughtfully. She comments, "Do you want to know what happened to your friend, young one? That brown dragon?" Hearing this got Twilight there as she gritted her teeth in rage. "Come on, I know all. I know what's happening on Draconia. Just join me and I will tell you." Moon Dragon said slyly. Someone like Twilight could be useful for her little kingdom. Of course, the Mind Dragon got on her claws and prepares to charge, shooting out flames. Moon Dragon roll her eyes at this. "You're kidding. You're kidding, right?"

Twilight's horn glows as she flew right at her enemy. Moon Dragon glares as she stops the Elements and charges at the dragon; Time to teach this reptile a lesson.

But as Moon Dragon got glower to Twilight, a flash appears. The evil dragon looks confused as the Mind Dragon has disappeared from sight, making her screech to a halt.

Twilight meanwhile appears near the Elements. The Mind Dragon makes her horn glow while saying, "Just one spark...just one..."

Moon Dragon turns and saw what Twilight's doing. How dare that Mind Dragon try to put one over on her! The villainess disappear, reappearing in front of Twilight, ready to strike...but then an explosion occurs, sending the Mind Dragon right onto the ground.

Of course, as Twilight got up, the Elements began to glow, much to Moon Dragon's horror. This cannot be! 

"No, no, no!" Moon Dragon exclaims in worry. Twilight smirks in triumph. Looks like she did it...

But to the Moon Dragon's shock, the light stops working as the stones fell to the ground. Twilight ask, "But...where is the sixth Element?! It should be..."

Moon Dragon laughs evilly. Looks like Twilight didn't get the Elements to work after all! With one stop, he hits the ground, breaking the rocks into pieces. The Mind Dragoon is stunned. Why didn't the Elements work? Looks like all hope is lost!

"Silly little dragon! You think you could defeat me?! Now you are lost, your princess and your sun are gone forever!" Moon Dragon exclaims as she send out lightning throughout the room. "This night shall last forever!!"

For a while, Twilight watch in horror, feeling like all hope is lost...but then she heard familiar voices coming from the stairway. The dragon turns as she hears the rest of the dragon calling while flying up to her...

Just then, Twilight gasps as a spark went off in her eyes. Of course, that's it!

Twilight gave out a smirk as if she knows something that Moon Dragon doesn't. The Mind Dragon does as she asks, "What, you think you can destroy the Elements of Harmony just like that? Newsflash, you are wrong! You see, the spirits of the Elements are right here!"

Sure enough, the other dragons appear near Twilight. Applejack comment, "Ah hope yew have a good plan, sugar cube. Because Rainbow an' Ah already know fro' VERY recent experience how tough 'dis gal is."

"I do...and you all helped!"

Suddenly something unexpected happens: the Elements' shattered pieces begin to flow and float into the air. Moon Dragon looks shocked. That shouldn't be happening!

"What's this?" Moon Dragon demands more than she asked.

"Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of...Honesty!" Twilight explains. To Applejack's surprise, she begins to glow as shards appear around her neck.

"Fluttershy, who tamed the original Manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of...Kindness!" Twilight explains as similar shards appear around Fluttershy's neck. "Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of...Laughter!" More shards appear around Pinkie's neck, much to her happiness.

Moon Dragon looks stunned as Twilight continues, "Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with meaningful gifts represents the spirit of...Generosity!" The Mind Dragon adds as Rarity sees shards appearing around her neck. "And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of...Loyalty!"

Rainbow grins as more shards appear around her own neck. Twilight continues, "The spirits of these five dragons got us through every challenge you threw at us."

"Wait, no, you still don't have the sixth Element!" Moon Dragon exclaims in alarm. She is trying to keep control of the situation. "The spark did not work at all!"

"On the contrary, the spark did work...a different kind of saprk." Twilight explains as she turns to the other dragons, making them smile. "I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all," The other ponies smile as their friend turns back to the evil dragon, "...are my friends!"

Soon something amazing happens: a flash appears as another orb appears, one that has a magic sparkle symbol right on it...the sixth Element. Moon Dragon gasps as she tries to shield herself from the glow.

"You see, Moon Dragon, when those Elements are ignited by the...the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth Element: the element of...Magic!" Twilight announces as the whole group glows brightly.

Soon the shards turn into necklaces for the other ponies with certain symbols on them while the last Element turns into a tiara which has the sparkle symbol that which lands on Twilight's head. The six ponies glow as a rainbow came from them, heading right for Moon Dragon.

"NOOOOOO," Moon Dragon screams in horror. The evil dragon tries to escape but the rainbow tries her, engulfing her in the power of the Elements.

The group glows on as Twilight opens her eyes before a flash appears...

Epilogue: Peace Restored


It was a few minutes later as the dragon woke up on the floor. They groan a bit. It was crazy but the dragons have done it, they have defeated Moon Dragon.

"Ugh, my head," Rainbow groans a bit while feeling her forehead with on claw. "I felt like something hit it with a rock."

"Everyone okay," Applejack ask her friends to make sure that they are safe and sound.

"Oh, my hair, thank goodness!" Rarity exclaims happily. Her hair has grown back as if she has never cut it out in the first place!

"That is absolutely beautiful." Fluttershy said to Rarity with a smile on her face.

"Well, I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised my hair grew back that quickly."

"I meant your broach. It's beautiful. It looks just like a precious gem."

"And yours looks like a cute butterfly." Rarity commented. Fluttershy looks down and sure enough, her broach has a cute butterfly right on it! Amazing!

"And mine looks like a whole bunch of party favors stacked together." Pinkie giggles a bit while opening her wings as she glances at her own necklace/broach.

"And mine looks like a lightning bolt. Awesome," Rainbow exclaims with a smirk at her own broach; She comment, "We came, we saw, We kicked her tail!"

"Dang Twilight! When yew talk about it earlier, Ah done thought yew were saying a bunch o' hooey...but Ah reckon 'dat we really do represent 'de elements o' friendship." Applejack said to Twilight with a smile.

"Yes, you are." A familiar voice spoke up. The dragons turn to a window, gasping as the sun lift up at last. A flash of light appears...along with a familiar that makes most of them bow to her. It's Princess Sun Dragon, she's freed of her imprisonment!

Twilight rush over and hugs the princess while exclaims, "Princess Sun Dragon! You're freed!"

"My faithful student Twilight, I knew you could do it, I just knew it."

"But, didn't you tell me that the story is nothing but a old lizard's tale?"

"No, I told you that you need to make new friends, nothing more." Sun Dragon explains to Twilight while the other dragons stood up. I saw the sign of Moon Dragon's return and try to speak reason, but it failed. I knew that you would be the one to have the magic inside to defeat her...but could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart."

Twilight smiles a bit as is her new friends. The princess is correct, the Mind Dragon haven't made friends since the disappearance of Ben Drake. And now that she did...friendship is really powerful in defeating the evil of darkness that is Moon Dragon!

"Now if only another will as well..." Sun Dragon said as she goes over to nearby. "Princess Moon Dragon."

Sure enough, on the remains of dark armor and smoke is another dragon, a Royal one with moderate cyan eye, a very light azure mane, a light phthalate blue coat, a magic aura of moderate cobalt blue and a crescent moon on a dark purple background who is just waking up. Princess Moon Dragon gasps as she saw the Dragon of the Sun coming to her, worried as to what she will do to her.

"It has been a 1000 years since I have saw you like this. It's time for us to put our differences behind us." Sun Dragon said as she sat down to Princess Moon Dragon gently. "Little sister, we were meant to rule together."

"Sister," Most of the dragons in surprise and confusion ask. Twilight knew that Princess Moon Dragon is Princess Sun Dragon's sister, from the stories and all. The sun dragon smiles as she got back up, hopefully.

"Will you accept my friendship?"

The dragons lean over. Will Princess Moon Dragon accept her sister's offer of friendship? Pinkie, leaning forward, yelps as she almost tripping, "Whoa!"

Soon something happens: Princess Moon Dragon got tears in her eyes, rushing over to her sister and hugs her. She exclaims, "Big sister, oh forgive me! I missed you so much!"

Princess Sun Dragon smiles happily, tears came in her own eyes as she hugs her sister saying, "And I miss you too." The sun dragon is happy; her sister has been freed of her corruption and is back in her life.

The Dragon Six smiles as Pinkie cry out tears from her eyes while blowing her eyes. This is wonderful; the Royal Dragon Sisters are reunited! The pink dragon stops crying and smiles while exclaiming, "Hey! I think this reunion calls for something..."

"A party!" Pinkie pops back up in Dragonville eagerly as dragons flew by her in happiness. All of Draconia is saved from Eternal Night; Moon Dragon is defeated and restored to her true self, a party is happening in Dragonville!

Princess Sun Dragon and her sister were greeted in Dragonville by a bunch of cheering dragons. Spike happily rush over to Twilight and hugs her, happy for her victory and relieved that she's all right. 

Princess Moon Dragon of course is worried on how the dragons would treat her because of what she tried to do...until two little dragons put a wreath of flowers around her neck, much to her surprise. It appears that the dragons of this generation are welcoming her back in light of what the former villainess has done. She smiles to her sister, relieved that all is well.

Princess Sun Dragon notices that Twilight isn't all that happy; she is staring at her feel in sadness. The princess goes over to the Mind Dragon while asking, "My faithful student, why are you sad; Are you not happy? Your quest is now over and you can return to your studies in Dragonlot at last."

"That's the problem...I have learned so much what it is to have friends, but now, I must leave them." Twilight said in sadness. Her friends look upset. They were happy to have her as a friend, but now it looks like she's going to leave. Princess Sun Dragon looks thoughtful. It wouldn't be right to force Twilight to leave her new friends...so it's time for a solution.

"Spike, a note please," Princess Sun Dragon instructs. Spike nods as he took out the parchment and pen, ready to write down what the ruler has to say. The Royal Dragon clears her throat while continuing, "I, Princess Sun Dragon, decrees that the Mind Dragon known as Twilight Sparkle will take a new mission for Draconia. She is to study the magic of friendship and reports her finding from her new home in Dragonville."

Twilight looks surprised then smiled as her friends crowd around her and cheers happily. The Mind Dragon is going to stay in Dragonville and be with her friends! This is great!

"Princess Sun Dragon, thank you!" Twilight exclaims in delight. "I will study harder than ever before!"

And so, a new day dawns in Dragonville, every dragon is roaring and cheering. With the defeat of Moon Dragon and a new dragon living in Dragonville, things have gotten better...

As we zoom away from town, Pinkie pops out while exclaiming to the camera, "Wow, is this exciting?! Are you sure excited because I sure am! At least now we actually gave a reason why the dragon version of Celestia didn't do anything to stop her sister. I have never been so excited...except for a time that I go gasp but I really mean..."

"Wow...that was wonderful!" Twilight exclaims with a smile as the show is over on the Universal Viewer in the library from when our story began. "What do you girls think?"

"I have to admit that was a pretty cool story. I probably wouldn't mind seeing more stories featuring our dragon counterparts from that universe." Rainbow said with a smile. The other ponies have indeed enjoyed the story, enough that they want to see more like it in the future.

"Yeah, but those are stories for other times. Anypony else have suggestions?"

"Yeah. I have one: I keep thinking back to your brother's wedding." Rarity said thoughtfully, recalling Shining's wedding from not so long ago. "What if you simply talked to Celestia in private concerning your suspicions about Cadance and waited until you had hard evidence before making any public accusations?"

"Or what if we failed to stop Nightmare Moon and had to agree to serve her in order to spare our families and friends?" Rainbow asks Twilight curiously.

"Or what if Discord had kept Celestia from sending your old letters back to you for inspiration and you had to take a cue from Batmare (i.e. spend years training yourself and designing and build weapons to stop Discord WITHOUT the Elements of Harmony)?" Fluttershy ask Twilight, coming up with another idea.

"Or what if Luna and Celestia BOTH flipped out an' became villains an' it was Discord an' 'de Changeling Queen 'dat were 'de good guys?" Applejack ask with another AU idea.

"Or what if we actually met Lorcan right after the mess with Garble and his pals?" Spike suggests, coming up with another idea.

Rainbow comment, "I keep thinking about how that jerk Diamond Tiara blackmailed the Cutie Mark Crusaders during the Gabby Gums mess? What if the Crusaders DID NOT gave in to that blackmail?"

"And I'll just bet there are a whole bunch of other universes (well, at least two) where we are super-heroes." Pinkie exclaims happily.

"Okay. Okay. That's enough ideas for now!" Twilight chuckles a bit to her friends. "Well, I think we've been here long enough."

"Right, time fer us 'ta go back 'ta what we were doing," Applejack said with a nod. "Dang nation, Granny Smith an' Big Mac is probably wondering where Ah am by now."

"Right and I am running behind on my business thanks to this show...not that I'm bitter mind you." Rarity said with a shrug.

The ponies say their goodbyes as they leave the library to back home. Twilight decides that after a show like this, she needs a quick snack from Sugarcube Corner. The purple unicorn left, leaving Spike alone to clean up (mostly because the dragon decides that he has no plans to leave).

Spike pauses then activates the machine. He then asks, "Okay, Universal Viewer, quick question...what would have happened if I didn't meet the gren dragon and had met another...dragon; A certain brother of mine?"

The Universal Viewer is activated as Spike takes a look at another show...which will be for another time.
