> Lightning Storm's story. > by Darkened Lightning Storm > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Getting home. (Hearths Warming Day part 1) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Do I really have to wear it Lowell..?" Lightning Storm complained and prodded the Mare-Do-Well costume that was decked out in hearths Warming Eve decorations. Usually, she wouldn't have minded wearing her MDW outfit. It was a part of who she was and what she did, but she found it bothersome and an embarrassment to look like Hearths Warming Eve tree grew legs. "Daring Do told me to make sure you were ready for the holiday party." Lowell said looking at the outfit obviously proud of his work. "Lowell... I think she meant that you needed to tell me where it was an when it was happening... Which you didn't do..." "Well whatever. I think your costume looks awesome and if you didn't have to wear it, I totally would." Lowell told Lightning Storm as she stepped into the tight costume and zipped it up. "Ugh, Rather this suit is shrinking or I need to cut down on Pinkie's cupcakes." Lightning Storm grumbled as she pulled the mask over her head and placed her hat on. "I have no idea how I'm going to get out of this thing... Ugh Lowell why'd you make me look like a walking ordainment? I'm supposed to be able to hide in the shadows and NOT be noticeable and be mysterious, not be spotted from a mile away!" Lightning storm grumbled as she and Lowell left the house. "LS, why the hay do you have to live in the Everfree forest? Why can't you live in town like every pony else? It's going to take us hours to get to Applejacks..." Lowell said ignoring Lightning Storms complaints about outfit. As the two friends trotted through the forest they started to noticed the snow picking up. "Oh.. That's right... There was a snowstorm scheduled for today... Buck! Oh.. And I live in the Everfree forest because I'm just cool like that." Lightning storm grumbled as she stuck out her tongue out at him, catching a couple snowflakes. "How could you forget about the snowstorm when you're the pony who takes care of the weather..." Lowell asked as he kicked at the snow while they walked. "Oi! Dashie took care of the weather today!" She glared as Lowell grew a smug look on his face. "Oh really, "Dashie" took care of the weather." Lowell laughed as Lightning's face grew red. "Shut the buck up...! I didn't mean to say Dashie! I.. Uh.. meant to say Dash...!" She spat at him and he just laughed. "Oh come on now LS, it's obvious to every pony you have a thing for her..." Lowell smiled at at as her blush worsened. "W-well it's obvious to every pony t-that you... You... H-have... A... Uh... " Lightning Trailed off and looked away from Lowell as he chuckled. "Storm, I'm pretty sure she likes you too. When are you going to make a move anyways?" Lowell asked but Lightning didn't respond. It was actually silent between them for a good 20 minutes, the snow had started coming down so hard that they could hardly see the ground beneath them. "Hey low!" "Yea?" "We gatta take a break, I can hardly see my own hooves in front of my face!" Lightning Storm grabbed Lowell and stumbled under a tree. Being able to see slightly better, she sighed. "This stupid MDW costume makes it impossible to see..." Lightning Storm grumbled as she ripped her mask off and shivered. "How the hay are we going to get to AJ's in this weather...?" Lowell sighed and huddled next to Lightning under the tree. "No... Bucking... Clue..." Lightning sighed and leaned her head back against the tree. As see looked around and tried to focus her eyes, she noticed a medium sized cave. She quickly nudged his shoulder and smiled. "Hey Lowell, I think I see a cave... Maybe I could try and make a fire and we could camp out there till the snow lets up some!" Lightning Storm quickly jumped up onto her hooves and cantered towards the cave with Lowell following behind silently. Lightning soon made a fire out of some twigs and pine needles they found on the ground and they ended up falling asleep. ~~~ Lightning Storm slowly started to wake up from her short 30 minute rest that seemed only like 5. blinking a few times, Lightning rubbed her eyes she noticed that she was still in the cave and not sleeping on the couch at Applejack's. As she looked around more, Lightning noticed that the fire was still going and Lowell was curled up in a ball, sleeping like a foal. She also noticed that the snow had let up some, and they would be able to see better. She slowly trotted over to Lowell and gave him a little shake "Come on Low, wake up. The snow let up some, get up." Lightning said as there was no response except for a growl. "Hey now, don't growl at me! We gotta get movin' if we wanna make it to the orchard by sunrise." She glared as lowell sat up sleepily. "I didn't growl at you..." He yawned and another growl rung through the cave. Lightning's ears shot up quickly as she slowly turned her head to see a giant grizzly bear. "oh buck..." Lightning muttered before the bear roared and LS and Lowell took off into the night. The snow was up to there knees so it was hard to run, the bear soon caught up and rammed it paws into Lightning Storm, it's claws clinging to her Mare-Do-Well outfit and ripping it off. The moment the outfit was ripped off Lightning Storm spread her wings and wrapped her forehooves around Lowell, quickly taking off and carrying him in the air. Pumping hard to keep them in the air, she flew high into the sky and above the clouds, landing on them. "Holy buck..." Lowell gasped as Lightning glared at him. "You didn't do anything! I was the one dragging your lazy flank up here! Your lucky that bear tore off my Mare-Do-Well outfit or else he would've eaten us both!" Lightning Storm laughed as the two started walling across the clouds. "Dang... this sucks I really wish my wings would heal faster so I could fly...." Lowell mumbled prodding his hoof at his left wing with a sigh. ~~~ Lightning Storm woke up to warmth and the smell of pancakes. she slowly stretched her legs and rolled off the couch, trotting towards the kitchen. After the whole bear incident they mainly stayed on the clouds until they got to the orchard, once they arrived Applejack gave them a long lecture and they went to bed. "Howdy Lightning, did yah sleep well?" Applejack asked from behind the stove as Lightning Storm gave her a sleepily smile. "Yea, you?" "Like always." "Every pony up?" "They're in tha dinin' room" "Thanks AJ." Lightning yawned again as she walked into the dining room and saw all of her friends. From her co-workers to her close friends and family, they all sat around a large table. "Hey every pony!" Lightning Storm smiled as she sat down inbetween Rainbow Dash and Lowell. Everyone had there own conversations going. Click, Dizty Do, and some mare were talking to Inkstroke and Unwanted about the foals, Silent Quill was writing in journal and showing it to Big Mac, The Elements of Harmony where having there own conversations among each other, The foals were sat a different table talking, and Lowell was deep in a conversation with Issac and a brown earth pony she didn't recognize. Rainbow Dash took notice in Lightning Storm and turned her head to her, smiling. "Hey Storm." She said as Applejack came out with two large plates of pancakes and other breakfast foods. As every pony started serving themselves, Lightning smiled back at Dash. "Hiya Dashie, sleep well?" "Yea, the guest bedroom was kind of cramped considering the fact I had to share it with a bunch of other ponies... I rather had been sleeping downstairs with you were it was only you, and not 15 other mares." Dash chuckled and she took a pancake. Lightning Storm did her best to hide her blush as she ate and chatted among the group. > Hearth's warming day (part 2) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Later that day~ Every pony was gathered around in the living room talking and laughing happily as the foals opened there presents and gifts were exchanged. lots of ponies had gone up and asked where Mare-Do-Well was but Lightning and Lowell simply told them she was off in Hoofington visiting family. Lightning Storm gulped and carried a brightly wrapped gift over to a certain rainbow pegasus. "Hey Dash." Lightning smiled as she put down the gift and sat next to Rainbow Dash on the couch. "Hey Storm, watcha got there?" Rainbow asked pointing at the gift as Lightning just simply picked it up and held it out towards her. "Merry Hearths Warming Day." Lightning said as Dash took the gift and opened it up slowly, revealing a necklace with Rainbow Dashes cutie mark made out of gemstones dangling from a golden chain. Rainbows smile grew as she blushed and turned to her. "Lightning... It's awesome... Thank you.." She told lightning as LS smiled back at her and chuckled. "Oh it's nothing really... Do you want help putting it on?" Lightning asked as Dash nodded and held up her mane some, allowing Lightning to clip the necklace around Dashes neck. "Thanks... Hey, I got you something too... It's nothing compared to your gift though.." Dash spoke quietly as she picked up a gift bag with her mouth and placed it down by Lightning's side. "Dash please, I'm sure what you got me it is 20% cooler than that silly old necklace." Lighting storm chuckled as her neatly took out the tissue paper and lifted up a picture frame. Inside the picture frame was a photo of them in there Wonderbolt's academy outfits on the last day. Lightning Storm felt herself grin from ear to ear as she turned to Rainbow. "Dash, I love it. I can't even believe you remembered this picture... It so long ago I hardly remember it." Lightning told her as Rainbow Dash simply shrugged and smiled. "How the hay could I forget where I met my best friend?" 3 years ago Lightning Storm laughed as Rainbow Dashes face grew a deep blush. "That's so not fair! You threw that cupcake at me on purpose so I'd slip and fall into Thunderlane!" Rainbow glared as Lightning Storm gasped through laughter. "You wish! I might have thrown the cupcake on purpose, but there's no way I could've planned the rest! Don't blame your clumsy-ness on me Rainbow Dash!" Lightning Storm said fell back off the bench and onto the cloud and Rainbow Dash started to laugh as well. As some ponies passed they gave the two weird look but Lightning Storm ignored it and wiped away laughter tears. Soon Spitfire had trotted up and gave them each scrolls. "Congratulations you two, you both had been chosen to be eligible to try out for the wonderbolt's when you become older, now go pack up your things, you both are permitted to head home." Spitfire nodded and flew off as the two hoofbumped and trotted to there dorm happily. "I can't believe we made it!" lightning Storm exclaimed as she placed her belongings in her bag as Rainbow Dash simply shrugged and put her things away. As they trotted out and stood at the edge of the cloud, they both sighed. "I.. I guess this is goodbye..." Lightning sighed and gave Rainbow Dash a hug, who quickly wrapped her forehooves around LS. . "It was nice knowing you... I hope you have an awesome life.." Rainbow Dash smiled as snowflake trotted by and she got an idea. "Hey snowflake! Take a photo will ya?" Dash called out to him and tossed him the camera. The two quickly smiled and a small click came from the camera as he handed it back. "Thanks snowflake." Dash smiled as he flew off. "What was that all about?" Lightning tilted her head as Rainbow Dash chuckled. "Now I'll always have a memory of our time here.... So, this is goodbye...?" Rainbow shifted uncomfortably as she stared down at the ground. "Yea.." Lightning sighed staring off into the distance. "Hey, Who knows? Maybe we might end up Wonderbolts together!" a beam of laughter shone in Rainbow Dashes eyes when she said that. "Maybe... But, till then... Bye..." Lightning Storm smiled as she and Dash hugged again and flew off in different directions. ~~~ "Heh... Remember how the next day we both entered the weather station at the same time? 'NO WAY. HOW ARE YOU HERE?!'" Lightning Storm laughed as Rainbow snorted. "Yea that was funny..." Rainbow Dash smiled and leaned back on the couch as Lightning Storm sighed. "Hey uh.. Dash... Can I tell you something..?" Lightning Storm said jumping off the couch and trotting towards the door as Rainbow Dash got up and followed her. "Sure, what's up?" Rainbow Dash smiled as the two mares walked outside and closed the door behind them. "Well uh... it's kind of an awkward subject..." Lightning Storm sighed and sat down on the porch. RD trotted up next to her and sat down next to Lightning. "Dude, try having to explain to your boss that you're her biggest fan. Trust me, nothing is as awkward as that.." Rainbow Dash smirked holding back her own laughter as Lightning Storm smiled. "Well uh, you promise you won't run away screaming...?" "I Pinkie promise. Cross my heart, hope to fly, heck, I'll stick two cupcakes in my eyes." Rainbow Dash said as she did the motions to the Pinkie promise and Lightning Storm sighed. "Well uh, you see.. The thing is... I'm.. A Fillyfooler..." Lightning Storm blurted out and turned away from Rainbow Dash. There was complete silence. Lightning Storm glanced back as RD and noticed that she was smiling, which kind of made her raise her eyebrow a little. "That's awesome. I'm a Fillyfooler too." Rainbow shrugged as she got up and jumped down the stairs, trotting down the dirt path that had been covered in snow. Lightning Storm quickly followed behind. A small light of hope lit up in Lightnings mind as she trotted next to Rainbow at a slower pace. "Hey RD..?" "yea?" "I like you. A lot." "I know, it's kind of obvious." Lightning Storm face turned red and she gave Rainbow Dash a look of surprise as Rainbow herself blushed a little and took a second to throw her head back and laugh. "Oh, you should see your face. It's priceless! Oh sweet Celestia I need to shock you more often, it's huilarous!" Rainbow gasped out from her laughter as LS's face was as red as a stop sign. Soon, Dash calmed down and gave a Lightning a crooked smile as she wrapped her left wing around Storm and whispered. "hey, chill out. Don't get so nervous. I like you too." Dash smiled as she pulled lightning closer to her with her wing and the two trotted down the snowy dirt road. > Mare-Do-Well > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Mare-Do-Well~ A few months later Lightning Storm woke up with a headache like no other. "Ugh... What the buck did I drink last night...?" She moaned and rolled over, going to stuff her face in the pillow and ended up stuffing it in rainbow hair. "What the..?" She grumbled and lifted her head to see a cyan mare. "O-oh... Right..." lightning storm smiled to herself remembering the events of last night as she brushed Rainbows mane off the pillow and lied her head back down. Rainbow Dash rolled over and wrapped Lightning in a full body hug making Lightning Storm giggle silently and press her nose to the sleeping mares. RD yawned and sleepily opened her violet eyes to find Lightning's sky blue eyes staring at her. "I wish waking up was always this awesome." Dash smiled and pressed her lips against Lightnings softly. After a couple short moments Lightning storm gently broke the kiss smiling as she brushed rainbows mane out of her violet eyes and kissed the cyan mares nose. "Come on, it's time to get up. I have weather business in Canterlot and you have paperwork you have to get done today and you also have cloud busting at 10. So, if you want breakfast this morning then I suggest you let go of me and let me ready." Lightning said before Rainbow pulled LS in for one more kiss and released the black mare from her legs as they both got ready. ~~~ Dash sat at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and a brand new edition of the "Equestrian Daily" newspaper as Lightning storm tucked her briefcase under if wing and trotted over to RD giving her a small peck on the cheek. "Don't forget to stop by the ESPS headquarters and pick up your paperwork, ok?" Lightning said as she nuzzled Rainbow's cheek as Rainbow fixed lightnings somewhat crooked suit. "Good luck Storm. Oh, by the way, Daring Do told me to tell you that you have a scouting mission after you get home. She said you could bring Lowell and me if you wanted to." Rainbow smiled as Lightning chuckled. "Ok, go tell Lowell that he can come if he wants, bye Dashie." Lightning waved as she walked out and flew off towards Canterlot. ~~~ A small sigh came from Lightning Storm as she trotted down the tile halls toward the filing room. "Damn... Why does every pony have to be in such a bad mood today... First the traffic in cloudsdaile is backed up for miles... Then the weather company goes crazy on me for being a minute late... Heck.. Even Shining Sun was in a grumpy mood... I hope Dash is done her paperwork... Daring seemed to be in on the bad mood too and I'd hate to see her get mad at Dash.." Lightning Storm mumbled to herself as she paused for a second and twisted a purple bracelet on her left hoof, making it transform around her into her Mare-Do-Well outfit as she cantered into the filing room. As she turned a few corners she expected to see Rainbow Dash standing there sorting her paperwork but instead she saw a brown earth pony burning files. She quickly dived behind the corner again and looked around for RD. As she looked for her the mare started to laugh and turn towards a wall that LS couldn't quite see. "So Rainbow Dash, you were saying that some pony was going to come and kick my flank? Well, I don't see any pony, and all I know is you know about me. So how about we get rid of you and throw your body were no pony will ever find it." The mare snorted and turned around to pick up a knife with her mouth. Lightning couldn't take watching this anymore as she sprung from behind the corner and jammed her right hoof into the earth ponies eye. "You stay away from her!" Lightning shouted the voice modcule in her MDW outfit made her sound like a demonic robot. It was then Lightning remembered that the earth pony had been that new quite recruit, Brightie. Brightie stumbled back and put a hoof to her eye as Lightning spun around to see Rainbow Dash, who was beaten bloody and tied up. Lightning quickly slid out a hidden blade from the sleeve in her MDW outfit an cut away at the rope. "L-lightning..?" Rainbow moaned as Lightning threw her mask off and tightly hugged her, soon realizing tears were flowing down Dashes face and she softly ran her hoof over RD's rainbow mane. "Sh... Don't speak... It's going to be alright... I promise.." Lightning storm softly kissed Dashes temple and got up to face Brightie. Something changed in LS's eyes, there original sky blue colour now had a menacing, dark blue, icy tone to them as gritted her teeth. "I'm going to make you bucking regret you were ever bucking born!" Lightning Storm shouted and drove her hoof into Brightie's nose, hearing a disgusting cracking noise. Brightie quickly stumbled and and held her blood-gushing nose in pain as Lightning turned around and bucked Brightie in the face, knocking her out cold. The brown mare fell down with a thump as Lightning quickly picked up Dash and gently rested the cyan mare onto LS's back at her galloped out of the filing room. She ran through the halls and quickly kicked the door to the medic's office, breathing heavily. The ponies working there quickly took Dash and went straight to work. After a couple hours of waiting, Daring Do opened the door in the waiting to see Lightning Storm in her MDW outfit without the mask on. A surprised gasp came from the black mares boss as Daring trotted over. "A-agent shad-" Daring had start but Lightning put up her hoof to silence her. "Don't say the name, please." LS turned away as Daring sat down next to her. "Is.. Dash.. Alright?" Daring asked her tone going softer than usual. Just as she had said that a nurse had come out. "Excuse me, Ms. Well, but Ms. Dash has requested your presence." The nurse said as Lightning nodded softly and cantered after the nurse. As she entered the room she saw the mare she loved hooked up to a couple machines. "Dashie..?" Lightning whispered as she trotted over to Dash and the cyan mare weakly smiled at her. "4 broken ribs, my hind left hind leg is shattered, and I can forget about flying for 3 weeks. But once everything heals I'll be good as new." Rainbow gave a light laugh and Lightning bent down and hugged her. "I was so worried... I thought she killed you..." Lightning said shoving her face into Rainbows mane as Dash stroke LS's mane lightly. "I thought you died a year ago Lightning." A voice sounded from behind her. Lightning quickly let go of Dash and turned around to face Daring Do. LS sighed and looked at her hooves. "I... I didn't want to be an agent anymore, ok? I was sick an tired of it. So I faked the death and ran off to live in the Everfree forest. It worked until I heard a rumour that my best friend had died... I felt like I had to come back and help... But... I didn't want any pony recognizing me... So I made a Mare-Do-Well outfit and... Here we are today." "I see. If you want to carry on your services as Mare-Do-Well you may. As for you Dash, I hope you get better soon." Daring said before trotting off. As the two mares talked silently they both eventually drifted off into a peaceful slumber. > Foals and wedding bells. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Foals~ Lightning Storm stared into the mirror at the sleek black suit that matched her black coat perfectly. She then quickly picked up a comb and stared to run it threw her gray and white bangs, trying to come up with the speech for Lowell's wedding. After teasing her messy bangs some, she put down the comb and sighed. The suit had been a gift from one of Rainbow Dashes friends, Rarity. "Ok Megan... We got this..." Lightning Storm told herself then perked her ears. "Whoa... It's been forever since I've used my real name huh? I wonder if Lowell is Low's real name or if he made it up like I did..." She chuckled lightly and heard a door open behind her. As she turned around she saw her cyan marefriend standing in the doorway smiling. "Well... You look... Awesome..." Rainbow chuckled as Lightning Storm smiled. "Hey Dashie. How'd things go with Pinkie?" Lightning asked as she walked up and gave Rainbow Dash a small kiss. "Good. We pranked ponies and told jokes and had fun like old times. We disorganized Twilight's entire library and she raged everywhere. She was like "HOW ABOUT I TURN YOU BOTH INTO BOOKS AND DISORGANIZE YOU! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE THAT?!" It was hilarious. Then we glued all the apples to the trees at Sweet Apple Acres and when AJ went to buck them, none of them fell off. It was so hilarious me and Pinkie laughed so hard we gave away our cover and I swear to Celestia, AJ is probably still out there trying to hunt us down." Rainbow Dash laughed as Lightning laughed along with her. "That's nice. Applejack is probably going to be askin' me where you are tonight. I'm headed over there to Foalsit so she and Lowell can go on a date." Lightning Storm smiled as she took off the suit and hung it up in the small closest. A small relaxed sigh came from Rainbow Dash as LS turned around to see the rainbow mare flop down on the bed and then patted the other side of the bed, requesting Lightning to join her. Lightning soon crawled onto the bed and wrapped her forehooves around the mare as Rainbow Dash wrapped her wings around her and snuggled next to the black Pegasus. "Hey Dashie?" "yea?" "Let's have a foal." Lightning Storm said as Rainbow Dash looked down at her as if she were crazy and moved away some. "A w-what..?" Rainbow Dash gulped as Lightning looked up at her softly. "A foal. Let's have one." Lightning repeated herself and leaned her head back into a fluffy pillow. "I.. I don't know Storm... We both have to work from sunrise to sunset and..." Rainbow Dash flattened her ears against her head as Lightning shrugged. "Then let's adopt one that's old enough to go to school. Please Dashie, Lowell and Applejack already have two fillies and one on the way and they're doing just fine." Lightning's bottom lip jutted out and she looked up at RD and pouted. Rainbow let out a small sigh. "It just doesn't sound like a good idea..." "And half of the stupid stunts you pull on a daily basis are good ideas? Think about it Dashie, the foal will teach us how to be better ponies or something like that." "But we technically can't REALLY have a foal... And I rather have a foal then adopt one..." Dash looked out the window with a sigh as Lightning sat there and thought. Soon a light bulb lit up in her head. "Maybe we could see if Twilight has a spell that could help us..." "You're not taking no for an answer are you?" "Noope!" "Fine. I'll talk to Twilight tomorrow and see what she can do. Way to make my life 20 percent more awkward than it was before." Rainbow Dash chuckled and pulled Lightning Storm as close as she could before kissing his cheek. "Yes! How does it feel to lose Rainbow-Loser-Dash!" Lightning smirked as Rainbow playfully glared at her and rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up and kiss me." Rainbow chuckled as Lightning leaned forward and closed the remaining gap between them. ~3 months later~ Lightning Storm did a last minute check over of Lowell's tuxedo careful then smiled as they stood and waited for Applejack to walk down the aisle "You ready man?" Lightning whispered too him as he gulped. "I don't know..." "Well, to late to turn back now!" She chuckled as the music started to play and the Cutie Mark Crusaders bounced down the aisle throwing flowers. After a brief moment Applejack walked down the aisle with her brother escorting her. Lightning looked over at Lowell and gave him a slight nudge as he snapped out of his daze and the unicorn priest had started to wedding. "We are gathered here today to..." ~~~ At the after party Lightning Storm had sat at the main table next to Lowell and Big Mac. She lightly smiled as she watched her best friend get cake shoved him his face by AJ and they danced. After awhile the camera stallion trotted up to her with a small smile. "Hey sweetheart, you got your speech ready yet? 'cuz my crew and I can't wait any longer." The stallion asked as Lightning nodded and poked Lowell, who was scarfing down his food. "Yesf?" He asked his mouth stuffed with apple clobber. "gimme your spoon you weirdo." " 'kay." Lowell said as he handed handed her the spoon and she tapped her glass with it, grabbing the attention of the room. “Good, I have your attention. Now, as we all know, we're gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Lowell and Applejack. I just want to thank you all personally for attending this wedding because it means the world to my best pony buddy Lowell. As for you Low, I just wanna say I'm so proud of you for marrying this amazing, honest, beautiful mare. It's obvious you both mean the world to each other, so for that, I'm proud--” Lighting paused for a moment to wipe a couple of tears away before continuing. “I also wanna thank you man. Without you, I don't think I would've ever met Rainbow Dash, so I wanna thank you for helping me find the light of my life. Ugh, can some pony hand me a tissue? I'm going to start crying in a couple of seconds.” Lighting chuckled as the room some what laughed and sniffled, there wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. Soon Lighting was given a tissue and she dried her eyes and carried on. Lowell on the other hoof just only had tears streaming down his cheek as he sniffled, kind words always get to him be for him or to another he was a sap for this kind of thing. “Low, I remember when you first introuduced me to AJ. At first, I thought well.. They aren't going to last another week and then you went off and decided to prove me wrong and now here we are today. I just can't believe that you got some pony as awesome as AJ to marry you... Now, I have some advice for ya. Rule one, The mare is always right. I have no idea how anything goes in your house, but no matter what, AJ is always right. Number two, happy wife happy life!” Lighting said as Lowell perked up some then looked to Applejack who only chuckled as the room joined in on a small laugh. “Well.. LS that should be no probs.....makin other's happy is what I do..” Lowell said as he lightly bumped noses with Applejack as there was a scattered aww's in the crowd. “Well, just so you know Low if you ever need a place to stay if AJ is mad with you my door is unlocked for you to come in and stay till she cools down. As for you AJ, Lowell's going to make a ton of mistakes, just remember no matter how much you wanna buck his face in sometimes, that he'll always love you no matter what. So stay strong you to.” Lighting finished as she wiped a tear away and sat back down beside Lowell. > Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can totally hurt me. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow Dash dragged Lightning Storm out of the farm house and into the barn, her magenta eyes boiling with anger and betrayal. "I can't believe you!" Rainbow Dash shouted tears wielding up in her eyes. "Rainbow.. I didn't mean to! I swear!" Lightning Storm ears flattened against her head as she held out her hoof, in response getting it slapped away. "Don't try your bucking excuses! I saw you kiss him!" tears started to stream down Rainbow's face as Lightning felt her anger start to build as well. "I didn't kiss him! He kissed me!" "Well you kissed him back!" "I.. I... Well it would've never happened if maybe you had stopped hitting on the other mares!" "Oh so now this is MY fault?! Lightning I wasn't hitting on other mares! You know I know better than that!" "Oh really?! Than explain the nuzzle you gave to Fluttershy!" "Please LS, she's like my sister! Do you honestly believe I would ever like her like that?!" "It sure as hell seemed like you did!" Lightning storm felt her anger overcome her sadness as Rainbow Flared her wings and glared. "You know what, what ever happened to loyalty?" Rainbow snapped her words soaked in anger. "I could say the same thing for you Dash. I thought you where the Element of Loyalty." "And I thought you where my marefriend! But apparently not anymore!" Rainbow snarled and Lightning Storm went silent, now realizing what happened. Rainbow Dash took notice in what she said and blinked, her face showing her regretted saying she had said that as the cyan mare quickly folded her wings and looked at her hooves. Tears slid down Lightning's face as she gazed at Rainbow. "So... Are we breaking up then...?" Lightning Storm felt the words just come out on there own, she was silently hoping Dash would apologize for yelling and hug her, forgetting everything. But, she knew that wasn't going to happen as Rainbow looked up to her tears dripping off her face. "I... Don't know... Are we..?" "I... Guess we are..." Lightning Storm could see the pain in regret in Rainbow Dash's eyes as Dash just nodded and walked out of the barn trying to hide her tears. Lightning just stood there shock finally washing over her as she sat down on the hay covered barn floor. "What... Have.. I just done?" Lightning whispered and she curled into a ball and started to sob to herself, not noticing the stallion behind her. "LS... Are you... Ok?" Lowell asked as Lightning looked up and almost tackled Lowell to the ground in a giant hug as she sobbed into his shoulder. "No I'm not ok you featherbrain! Me and RD just broke up!" She said through her sobs and Lowell sat there and stared down at Lightning then gasped. "You...What?!" He said backing away form Lightning Storm's hug as LS sniffled as stared at her hooves. "Everything is all my fault. I.. I can't even believe myself right now!" Lightning ran out of the barn and flew off to the forest, tears dropping off of her face as she flew. She quickly kicked open the door to her house and slammed it shut, sliding down it and hiding her head in her hindlegs as she sobbed. ~a week later~ Lightning Storm sat at the bar area alone, forcing down the contents in her mug. As she placed the empty mug on table, the bartender trotted over. "Give me another one of whatever the hay you gave me before." "Are you sure? That was your 7th mug and this is really hard apple cider..." "I'll pay you extra." Lightning shakily took out her bit pouch and threw thirty bits on the table. At first, the Bartender pony hesitated, but then he took out a bottle or hard apple cider and poured what was left in it into her mug. LS looked down at it and started to sip it slowly as the stallion put the bottle away and looked at her. "So what's your story?" he asked curiously and Lightning looked up at him. "What do you mean..?" "Obviously something happened to you. You can't just randomly come here like everyday for weeks and pay me 50 bits so you can down a bottle of hard apple cider and not have something happen to you. Now mind me for being nosy, but I gatta know." The bartender stallion called out one of the other workers and threw him his apron, giving him a wink as he trotted out and sat down next to Lightning. "I... I did something... Completely idiotic... I destroyed the trust the one pony I loved more than anything else in this stupid world... And I'd do anything... Just to apologize... Just to hold her.... Just to sit there and laugh with her till my sides hurt and I'm in tears... Just to wake up to her beautiful face and stare into her magenta eyes... Just to be with her one more time..." Lightning Storm looked down at her mug and sighed. She knew she was drunk again, why else would she be telling a stranger this? "Yeah, you really bucked up everything, you idiot." A voice that sounded like Rainbow Dash's came from behind her. Lightning's ears shot up and she turned around to see Rainbow Dash standing there, looking like a complete mess. Her mane was crazy and everywhere, she had black bags under her tired, glistening eyes, she looked like she hadn't slept in days and had been crying all night. "Dash..." Lightning had started up RD held up her hoof and gave her a glare. "Here's your one chance to apologize.. Make it worth my bucking time." Rainbow Looked away from her and looked a seat at the bar. Lightning just stared at her and Rainbow raised an eyebrow down at her and gave her a look. "You going to apologize.. Or sit there staring at me like a featherbrain." "Oh right! S-sorry... Dash... Look... You are, always have been, and always will be, the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was such an idiot for kissing Big Mac... I took you for granted and I swear on my life, it was the dumbest move I ever made and ever will make. I'm... So sorry... And I don't even know why I'm bothering... After what I did I wouldn't even forgive myself...So, I understand if you don't take me back... I get it..." Lightning Storm looked down at her mug as tears formed and slid down her face as she felt a pair of hooves thrown around her and a head shoved into her shoulder as Rainbow sobbed. She didn't need anymore words, neither did Dash. They both there sniffling in each others embrace silently as the night ticked on. > Flying and Fading Nights > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~3 months later~ Lightning Storm sat on a cloud as she watched a speedy black colt screw up his air dive. "No no no! Red Wing! Fold your wings, don't spread them!" Lightning yelled as she dove after the colt, going into free fall. She quickly caught up with the black colt and used her hooves to keep his abnormally bright red wings tucked by his sides. "Mooooom! I can do this on my own!" Red Wing grumbled and gently pulled away, adjusting his wings and holding his forehooves in front of him as he gained speed. Lightning Storm quickly caught up and passed him, going into a relaxed position as she plummeted towards the ground at speeds that could scare a wonderbolt. Mere seconds before she crashed into the ground, her wings unfolded and she lifted up, gliding centimeters above the grass. she watched as Red Wing unfolded his wings and landed with a THUD "You ok R?" Lightning asked glided over to the colt as Red Wing stood up can shook his head, smiling at his mother his eyes gleaming the excitement. "That... Was... Awesome! Did you see the way I almost landed that!" The colts wings buzzed with pure adrenalin as Lightning chuckled and saw Lowell cantering up with one of his fillies, Paint Drops. "Hiya Low!" Lightning smiled at her friend as Red Wing inched behind her slightly. "Hey Lightning... I need a favor... Could you watch Paint Drops for me?" "Sure! I even have a friend for her to play with... Red say hi.." Lightning smiled down at her shy colt as Red Wing stepped out from behind his mother. "Oh! When did you and RD get this little guy?" Lowell asked smiling a friendly smile down at RW. "We decided to adopt him a month ago considering Twilight didn't have a frickin' spell... But I'm happy I got this little rascal! He certainly turned my life around." Lightning smiled as Red Wing looked up at him and shifted uncomfortably. That's when Lowell stepped aside and gently pushed his daughter, Paint Drops, forward. Mumbling something into her ear softly. The young filly just flattened her ears and whispered something back to her father. After a couple seconds, Lowell smiled down at Red Wing as he spoke. "Hiya there Red Wing! this is my daughter, Paint Drops. Why don't you two run along and go have fun?" Lowell said as Red Wing shrugged and walked next to the filly in silence. Lightning smiled as she walked over and sat down under a tree, watch the foals talk. "So how old is she now?" "13." "Ah. Red's 14." "Huh. He seems shy." "I suppose... He'll just take awhile to adjust to you." "Cool, so do Scootaloo and him get along?" "Sometimes, but not always" As the two carried on with there conversation Lightning couldn't help but getting that feeling that your being watched, like someone was staring at the back of her neck and burning holes into her coat. ~~~~ Lightning walked through the everfree forest with an uneasy gaze. Something was different about the forest at night. Like the dark had it's own bizarre creatures never once seen by a pony eye. That's when out of the no where a black figure fell out of the sky and tumbled into the path, letting out a groan of pain. Lightning's ears shot up and she back up some, quickly pulled out a dagger from her bag and holding it in her mouth. The figure moved a little and rolled over, groaning in pain. That's when LS realized that this was another pony, she quickly ran over and picked up the black stallion, carrying him back to the house. ~~~~ Lightning lied the stallion down on the couch, checking over him. As Storm went back to check his wings, she gasped a little and moved back some. "Your.. Your a Bat Pony!" Lightning whispered as the glared over at her. "Yeah, I am. Do you have a problem with that?" "No. It's just... Oh never mind. Can you open your right wing?" Lightning watched at the stallion attempted to spread his right wing but ended up let out a small cry of pain and started to tremble. LS quickly examined the wing and found it was broken in 3 placed. "Damn. What did you do?" Lightning asked as she started to wrap the wing in an A.C.E bandage and the stallion looked up at her "I uh, fell...?" He avoided eye contact and LS raised and eyebrow. "But... Oh whatever. You won't be able to fly for a long time.. five months tops. You'll have to sleep here tonight, but tomorrow I'll contact somepony and see if they'll come get you. You're in no condition to be out on your own so, make yourself comfortable." Lightning spoke trotted into the kitchen and filled a kettle with water, placing it on the gas stove and letting it sit there to boil. As she cantered back over she heard the door open and she looked over to see it was Rainbow Dash. "Hey Storm. Where are the foals?" "Scootaloo is over at AJ's and Red's with some of his friends." Lightning smiled as she lit a fire in the fireplace. "Oh by the way, we have a guest." Lightning added on to what she said and Rainbow looked down at the couch to see the stallion. "Who the hay is he?" "The names Faded Night." The stallion looked up at her and smiled, and Rainbow responded with a raised eyebrow and a questioning look. "Ok, hi Faded Night, why the hay are you here?" "Your little marefriend's letting me sleep here 'cause I broke my wing." Rainbow Looked over over to Lightning, who was beckoning her to follow. The two walked into the bedroom and LS closed the door and sighed. "Look, I couldn't just leave the guy in the middle of nowhere passed out..." Lightning looked at Rainbow who sighed and mumbled. "Ok, when is he leaving?" "Tomorrow once I can get contact with some pony." "Ok..." Rainbow Dash nuzzled Lightning's cheek and sighed again. "Sometimes your too kind for you own good." "Oh shut up you." Lightning chuckled and kissed RD's nose before trotting back into the room. > Happy Hearts and Hooves day > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning Storm and Rainbow Dash sat together on the porch as the storm clouds above rumbled and rolled and the rain beat against the small roof like thing that covered the porch steps. Today had been a hectic day, for some pony had accidently let loose a tornado over Ponyville and Lightning had to stop it. Now both her and Rainbows job were on the line. But Lightning had a question to ask, and she had to ask it now. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? They both just survived a tornado together and they both possibly could get fired, so what better time to purpose than now! "Hey Dash?" "Yeah Storm?" "I uh... I have to ask you something really serious..." Rainbow turned to Lightning and tilted her head some in confusion. "Uh ok... Go ahead and ask..." Lightning took a deep breath, and began the small speech she had thrown together. "Rainbow Dash, you know that I love you more than anything in else in Equestria and I swear to Celestia there's no other pony I want to be with than you. I... I want to spend the rest of my life with you Dash, I really do..." As Lightning said the she pulled out the wooden box and opened it to reveal silver necklace with RD's cutie mark dangling made from solid gold. "Rainbow Dash?" Lightning smiled at her. "Y-yeah Lightning Storm?" Rainbow blinked now catching on to what was happening. "Will you marry me?" Rainbow Dash was silent, just staring at the necklace in shock. She finally shook her head regaining reality and smiled at Lightning. "Yes, I will." And with that, Lightning threw her forehooves around Rainbow Dash and hugged her tightly, feeling RD's forehooves slowly wrap around her and hold her closer. The two sat there like this for the longest time, just enjoying each others embrace. Just knowing that the other is there and will be there was enough to make Lightning happier than any pony else in Equestria. > Work sucks > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning sat at the desk typing in a series of numbers in a calculator as she drawed out a long sigh and held her head in her hoof. Lately things hadn't been going very well for the Rainbow and Lightning household. LS and RD and been promoted to the managers of the Ponyville weather team and it was Lightning Storm's job to take care of all the numbers while Dash got to lead the weather team. As much as Lightning hated math, she decided it was for the best that she take care of the taxes and handing out pay checks and such. "Storm... You in here..?" Lightning herd a voice call out. "In the office Dash...!" Storm's ears perked up as Rainbow Dash trotted into the office. "I've been looking for you all day..." Rainbow said with a sigh and she glanced nervously at the black mare. "S-sorry... I didn't mean to worry you..." LS smiled up at the cyan mare weakly as RD raised her eyebrow. "Storm... I don't recall you coming to bed last night or the night before that... When did you last sleep...?" "Uh... I... Um...No...?" Lightning stuttered before turning back to the paper and reaching for her calculator, in return getting air. She looked over her shoulder to see her unhappy fiancée sitting there holding the calculator. "You're coming to bed. Now. It's almost ten anyways." Rainbow sighed as Lightning gave her a pitiful look. "I need to finish this Dash... It's due tomorrow... Please... I promise I'll come to bed... Later.." "No. Now." Rainbow glared softly and Lightning flattened her ears and stared at the ground. "...No" "What?" "N-no... I'm finishing this..." "Storm please. It's for your health, not my benefit." Lightning Storm sighed and she got out of the chair and trotted next to her fiancée. Rainbow let out a relieved sigh and nuzzled Lightning. "You have to stop working yourself past your limit... It's not good for you... And you do it all the time..." "I can't help it... I feel like if I don't push my limits then I'll never find 'em... It's what I grew up on Dashie..." "yeah but you told me you hate your parents..." "I do it's just... They taught me a few valuable things in my life though..." "yes well THAT is not one of them.. If I would've let you work yourself like that any long you would've blacked out." "You don't know that..." Rainbow gave Lightning a 'oh really?' look an Lightning blinked and flattened her ears. "Your mad aren't you?" "..." Rainbow turned away pretending to ignore the black mare "...I'm sorry and I love you...?" LS smiled hopefully and Rainbow rolled her eyes and chuckled at the mare. "What am I going to do with you?" she chuckled and a grin appeared across Lightning Storm's face. "Weeeellllll..... I could think of a few things..." Rainbow only blushed and glared at her. "You need sleep." "Yeah yeah... I got it..." Lightning Storm chuckled and climbed into the bed, holding onto the cyan rainbow pegasus. No denying she loved holding Rainbow Dash, but no denying she had been working herself to death and need to take a break... Sadly, breaks are a myth to this poor pegasus. > Sneak Peek. CB< > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning squinted when she woke up to the bright lights of the hospital. With a small cough, she looked up to see almost everypony she ever knew. From her foals to Music and Gage, they were all there. Rainbow was right beside her, holding back tears. On the other side was Lowell who was also on the verge of tears as well. it was then, once she realized she was in a hospital, did she realize why everyone was here. "no.. No no no no.... I can't... No!" Lightning started to panic and sat up, causing RD's ears to perk up and she forced the black mare back against the bed. "I-it's going to be ok Stormie..." The cyan mare had told her, but LS just ignored her and a scared look washed over her eyes like waves against a beach. "No..! It's not! I'm to young to die! This totally isn't fair!" Lightning looked at Dash and a extreme amount of pain stabbed her chest as if somebody had impaled her heart with a dagger. "You aren't going to die.. P-please stormie don't say that..." Rainbow's ears flattened and LS sat back and gasped for air. "J.. Just tell me... How it.. Happened... P.. Please..." "Well" TO BE CONTINUED LAWL TROLOLOLOLO > Jenny > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning Banged her head against the wall as she looked over at the pony standing next to her. The pony had a dark grey coat, a black mane with a grey stripe running through it, and icy, dark blue eyes. "Give it up lightning. Your not good enough. You'll never be good enough." The mare smiled as Lightning rested her head against the walled and brought her hoof to her forehead. "nnng... I think my heads bleeding...." She sighed and stumbled past the mare, getting tripped by her and falling against the ground. Slowly and shakily, Lightning stood back up, glared at her, and continued to drag herself towards the bathroom. Rainbow Dash had gone with Applejack to Canterlot from some reason Lightning couldn't remember at the moment and Lowell was hanging around with some of the stallions. Lightning was left alone to do taxes and paperwork (like always). But she didn't mind, it never bothered her, at least, that's what she told herself. She didn't mind having to do all the hard work in the family, as long as they were comfortable she didn't care, all she wanted was Rainbow, Red, and Scootaloo to be happy. Lightning forced back tears as she grabbed a rag and wet it, putting it up to her head and then started looking around for Band-Aids in the drawer. Finally, she found a couple and gently put them of the place where she had busted her head. As she walked out of bathroom, she saw the black and white reflection of her waiting in the hall, sitting on her haunches and leaning against the wall. "Aw, are you going to cry?" she smirked. Lightning simply attempted to ignore the pony as she trotted past her and back towards the office, hearing the ponies voice call out to her again "Aren't you tired of this? It's pathetic. They're making you do all of their work while they run off and have fun. Isn't it bad enough the ESPS is shoving missions down your throat while you have piles of paperwork taller than you are when you are when you stand on your haunches? Lightning, you're only one pony, not twenty." "Jenny, shut up. You're only trying to make me angry." "Oh Megan, you already are angry. You just don't realize it. They're taking advantage of yo-" "No they're not." Lightning spun around and stomped her hoof. "Enough of this 'They're using me' bullshit. I signed up for this damn job and I'm going to do it whether you like it or not. You don't control me Jenny, I fucking control myself." "Fine then, sorry for trying to help you for once in your life!" "You're not trying to help me, you're trying to ruin my life! You always are!" "No Lightning, I'm actually trying to help you this time!" "And why the fuck should I believe you?!" "Because I am you." Then there was silence between the two. Nether spoke a word, they just held there stares at each other. Lightning didn't know how to respond. Should she just walk away? Or should she disagree? "You're not me. You're just a figment of my imagination. You're an imaginary friend that I've kept for too long." "Lightning, I'm real, and you know good as hell that I am." "Good as hell? Never heard that before." "Buck off." "Then leave me alone before I find a way to get rid of you." Lightning trotted toward the office, but Jenny blocked her path. "Go take a break. Now. You need one." "Jenny, get out of my way." "No." "Jenny! Move!" Lightning barked at her like a drill sergeant and what happened next she couldn't quiet place right awat, at first she thought Jenny had pushed her because she fell over but then felt an extreme amount of pain in her muzzle and looked down to see blood everywhere. Jenny had socked her right in the nose. "Have a nice rest, Megan. Take the break you deserve.." Lightning heard as she blacked out Lightning woke up on the couch with a throbbing muzzle and a concerned Rainbow Dash looking down at her. She moaned and spoke in a cracky, raspy voice. "What are you doing here..." "I got back from my trip yesterday... I found you passed out on the ground with your head in a pool of... I thought you were dead... I flew you to the hospital so fast I swear I almost cause a Sonic Rainboom..." "Wha... Wait wait... you were gone for five days right...?" "Yeah..." "I've been out for 3 days... I think..." LS winced as she went up to touch her nose and RD swatted her hoof away. "Don't touch it featherbrain. Somepony shattered it...it's broken in four different places and the doctors were surprised that it wasn't smashed through your skull... Who did that..?" "I... I don't know... " Lightning looked away from Rainbow as she said that, making it was obvious she was lying but Rainbow didn't catch on. "Well whoever they are, I'm going to kill them." Rainbow Glared at something and then sat down on the ground, next to the couch that LS had been resting on. Dash then leaned forward and nuzzled her gently. "I'm glad to see you're ok though.." "Yeah.. I'm glad you made it home safely.." The two talked for a little while till Rainbow decided to crawl up on the couch with her. The two cuddled for awhile and then soon fell asleep. Lightning smiled as she watched her Fiancée sleep, she always felt safe around Rainbow Dash. Like nothing could hurt her as long as she had Rainbow and Rainbow had her. she nuzzled Dash, and even though she almost cried from the pain, and buried her face into the warm ponies chest, soon drifting off to the warmth from the cyan Pegasus and the feeling of soft feathers wrap around her. > Brightie. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning sighed as she was lying in the rafters of a large meeting room. Down below her were not only the princesses, but some of the most important ponies in Equestria. And how much did Lightning Storm care? Hardly. She hated doing things like this, being a bodyguard. She was a bloody assassin, not some big tough earth pony stallion that got paid 5 bits an hour to foalsit a bunch of idiots sitting around a table discussing boring topics that meant absolutely nothing to her. For all she cared, doing taxes was more fun than this. But she had to, cause apparently her 'sworn enemy' was supposed to pop up outta nowhere and bop the princess one in the face. "Yeah right.." LS sighed as she chewed on the chain to her wedding necklace slightly out of boredom. Brightie. Just the name in general irritated Lightning. The unicorn who thought it would be funny to almost kill her wife and best friend. She bucked around with the wrong ponies. It had taken a lot of work to fight off the hoards of ponies who had it out for Brightie, but in the end it wasn't all that hard. Brightie was dead set on killing LS. "Why hello, Lightning Storm, I hope I didn't keep you waiting." Lightning didn't turn around, she knew the voice all to well. "I've been sitting here bored for a half an hour. I was starting to think you wouldn't show." LS smirked underneath her mask as she placed her fedora down. "And miss out on an opportunity to catch up with my least favorite pony? Who wouldn't come." Brightie laughed bitterly. Lightning stood up very slowly, facing Brightie. "So I heard you and that Rainbow maned skank are married now, how cute." Brightie slowly skipped from beam to beam carefully and lightning to restrained herself from cutting the mares heart out. "I heard you went fucking insane and sold your soul to the devil or some shit like that." LS watched her curiously. "You're doing it all wrong, don't you realize that. That demon or whatever the hell you got in cahoots with is using you to possess your body dumbass!" "I'm doing it all wrong? Oh- no, Lightning, Mare-Do-Well, you dear are doing it wrong. You see I'm invincible now. And your doing to die. I'll make sure it's a slow, painful one too." That's when everything unleashed. Brightie lunged at LS, who quickly dodged her first attack and kicked the mare into the beam. The insane unicorn quickly recovered and Lightning moved next. With one flick from her forehooves, her custom crafted hidden blades slide out and she gashed out Brighties shoulder. Brightie awkwardly dodged the next swing of the blade and swiftly pulled out her dagger. When she went to slash LS took a step back and fell off the beam, only to swing herself up behind brightie and dig both her hidden blades into the light brown mares back and dragged them down her flesh, leaving to long deep gashes in her back. Brightie spun around and attempted to jam her dagger into Lightnings neck but her failed as Ls swiftly dodged and the dagger ended up slashing the fabric on the midnight mares MDW mask. LS froze and anger flamed through her veins and boiled her blood; the fabric hung down some, reliving LS's now dark, icy blue eyes. Lightning storm sheathed her hidden blades and she managed to punch Brightie square in the gut and roundhouse kick her in the face. She then pinned Brightie down and repeatedly smashed her hoof in the mares face. "You motherbucking, cock sucking, needle-dicked, bitch ass, daughter of a broken condom! I mean honestly, that probably what your goddamn birth certificate is, is a fucking apology from the condom factory!" The voice modulator in Lightnings outfit made her sound like a demonic robot and her threw Brightie into the side of the building. She then Slammed into the younger mare and pressed her hoof down on Brighties neck, slightly chocking her. Lightning watched fear and panic course through Brightie's eyes as Lightning turn off the robo-voice and spoke in her regular voice. "You EVER make fun of my wife again. I will kill you. I will not hesitate to rip out your fucking heart out and pop it like a pill. The only time you speak of her or my family is in a good way. I will find you if you dare say anything else bad about them." "H-how.. Did you beat me?" "You said you sold your soul to a demon? Well guess what. I'm the devil." Lightning hissed and turned her voice thing back on, then threw bright down onto the main floor and cuffed her. She turned to Daring and nodded to her, and some ponies took brightie away. Daring trotted up to Lightning later the night, who had had poor stitches done to her mask. "Well done, Lightning." "Just doing my job Daring." LS sighed as she relaxed and turned off her voice modulator. "I uh... just want you to be aware, that almost everypony in the room heard your fight." "I figured." "Your Identity will still remain under tight wraps though, and your mask can be easily fixed." "... Nah, I kinda like it like this. I'll be fine."Lightning smiled some at Daring through her outfit who only smiled back. "Well, I suppose I'll be on my way. I'm sure Dash will be excited to hear about your day." and like that, Daring got up and left. Leaving LS alone with her thoughts and she flew off into the night, heading home to her cabin in the everfree.
