> A Great And Powerful Feeling > by bakersong > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Great Show > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- She was closing up her pie shop when a traveling wagon rushed past her and sent a bunch of flyers out. Curious she picks one up and noticed that it was for a traveling magic show, the star claiming to be the most powerful unicorn in all of Equestria. Though she chuckled to herself for a minute, she did want to see the show anyways. "Looks like somepony is interested in seeing that show." A voice said from behind her. "Oh, hi Tropic." She said turning around knowing who the voice belonged to. "Sup Cherry, so are you going to that show?" Tropic asked raising his eyebrow. "Yeah I am, though we both know who the real most powerful unicorn in Equestria is. I mean she only saved this town, and even Equestria itself from Nightmare Moon with her help." She replied with a smile. Her and Tropic have been best friends for a long time, they practically grew up together. They were next door neighbors for awhile before they moved out, but their friendship remained the same. Though they did try to date at a point it didn't work out between them. "Yup, yeah i'm just gonna go to see it just to see what kind of magic this show mare does." He said. "Well looks like we are on the same page then." She said and started to walk in the direction of the wagon went. "Come on you slow poke, I think it was headed towards the center of town!" "Oh you little cheater!" He called as he galloped to catch up. They quickly made their way towards the center of town having fun with their race, and by the time the got there a small crowd had already formed. But luck for them the crowd wasn't that big yet so they managed to get a front row spot. Not soon after more and more ponies started to show up, including the bearers of the so called Elements Of Harmony. "I think the show is about to begin." Tropic whispered into her ear. "I think you're right." She whispered back. --- "Come one, come all! Come and witness the magic of The Great And Powerful Trixie!" The wagon suddenly bust open revealing a stage and a blue unicorn stepped out, or poofed out in a more of a show off way. "Now you've all been graced with Trixie's presence she will show you amazing feats of magic!" She then goes into doing some magic tricks, which included some pretty basic stuff that a lot of even young unicorns could do. But there were some neat little tricks, but most of those ones seemed to show up the mares who went up there. Though they couldn't say that they didn't deserve it a little, seriously this is what this blue mare does for a living. They had no right to say she's a big time show off, when they interrupted her performance and showing off their little tricks. But when she was doing a particular trick she couldn't help but to see a violet colored mare, with a dark red mane clapping her hooves together. For some reason seeing this mare clapping made her blush. 'Why am I blushing when I've done this performance at least a hundred times?' She asked herself as she focused on doing her next trick. But yet again her attention was drawn back to the violet mare in front after doing the trick and blushed yet again. This time they made eye contact though and she got a clear view of the sea blue eyes and nearly lost herself in them. But she quickly broke the eye contact and tried once again to get back to her performance. --- "Man though she seemed a bit self centered she was pretty good, and pretty cute to. Don't you agree?" Tropic asked giving Cherry a playful nudge. "Hey you gonna answer?" "Oh, what?" She asked breaking out of her thoughts. "I was just asking if you thought that mare was cute or not?" He asked again raising an eyebrow like he normally does when he knows what she was thinking. "Oh, umm yeah she was, umm cute alright." She said blushing and looking away. "Please, I know better. I saw the way you were clapping and cheering, and the way the two of you looked at each other. Love at first sight, no doubt about it." He said in confidence. "Hey, I just said I thought she was cute." She said in a pout. "Yeah right, with the way you were looking at her flank during the show? And don't even get me started on the little eye contact that you two shared in the middle of her show." He said. "That and I know she was checking you out as well." "She was checking me out?" She asked letting her fake anger slip a little in her excitement, and she remembered and put on her act again but she was already blushing. "Oh, yeah she was giving you glances all throughout her show. How about we head back and you two can talk?" He asked with a slight smirk. "You know what, just to prove you wrong let's go back. How about this, if me and her don't hit it off you buy three of my most expensive pie's." She said. "Alright, and what if you two do hit it off?" He asked. "Well what do you want then?" She asked back. "How about you help me with my practice flying?" He suggested, and she gave a nod in aggreament. "And by the way, I knew you liked her. Why else would you want to prove me wrong this way?" "Shut up." She said, which only made him laugh. "Come on, tell me how much you like her. You know you can't hide these things from me." He said after finishing laughing. "Well I think she's..." She mumbled something to quietly for him to hear. "You think she's what? You need to speak up." He said with his trade mark smirk. "I think she's hot okay?" She said looking away in embarrassment. "There ya go, now tell me do you have a crush on her or not since she's hot?" He asked in a very teasing voice. "Will you stop teasing me? Yes I do have a bit of a crush on her, but that's none of your business." She said pointing her nose to the sky. "So what will you do if she likes you back? Are ya gonna keep her after class to give her a special punishment?" He asked. "You know you're a real pervert." She said trotting ahead. "Yeah I know, but you can't blame me for wanting to know what your going to do if she shares your feelings." He said. "Well I don't know, maybe ask her out if she doesn't ask me out?" She said shrugging her shoulders. "I hope that does happen because it's to late to turn back now." He said pointing to the wagon that was now closed up, but a light was coming out of it. > The Great Talk > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As she stood there looking at the wagon she couldn't help but be nervous thinking about it. For some reason she had been instantly attracted to this mare, but usually she wouldn't have so much trouble asking one out. Though she was sweating, and shaking with nerves. "You know I was just kidding, you don't have to do this." Tropic said noticing how she was acting. "But you look like you've been struck by love's arrow pretty bad." "S-shut up and let's do this." She said giving him a slight glare. "Alright, you go on and knock i'll just hang out back here." He said giving her a smile. "Know, how about you go ask her out already?" "I wasn't planning on asking her out!" She exclaimed her cheeks flushed. "Oh please, I've known you for a long time. You usually ask anypony out that you have a crush on, but it looks like you want more than a simple date." He said teasingly. "Alright, I was kind of planning on asking her out. But only if she was interested, and no I don't want to do that!" She said regaining her confidence back. "At least not on the first date, not if she does want to go out with me." "Of course she would want to go out with you, even if she seems to be a bit self centered. Besides you have one of the nice's flanks in Ponyville." He said. "Why have been looking at my flank huh?" She asked this time glaring a glare of death at him. "Yeah, of course. You always run ahead of me so I have no choice but to look at it." He said a smirk coming across his face. "You know that I know you just let me win those, especially now that I know you only let me win to look back there you perv." She said. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to ask a show mare out." She then proceeded walking up to the door and she looked back as Tropic was still giving a smirk. It was then she realized he had just said all of that to give her confidence back. Giving a smile and shaking her head at how well he knew how to push her buttons she walked up and knocked. "Who dares to disturb the Great And Powerful Trixie!" A voice called from behind the door before it swung open, and the blue mare eyes widened in surprise. "Um, hi Trixie I was at your show I don't know if you remember me." She said a bit nervous. "Your the mare from the front row." Trixie said a slight blush coming across her cheeks. "What brings you by to see the one and only Trixie?" "Oh, um well I was hoping we could talk about your show and how amazing it was." She said giving a weak smile. "Of course you do! Who wouldn't want to talk about my show? Come in." Trixie said opening the other half of the door. "Wow, this is very nice. A lot more spaces than I thought." She said walking into the living area. "Oh, so your impressed then? Good as that's what Trixie aims to do." Trixie said giving her a smile. "You want something to drink, or maybe something to eat?" "Umm, do you have any orange juice?" She asked. "Yes, I think I do." Trixie said turning around giving her a little time to admire her flank, but she looked away in embarrassment. "Ah, here we are." Trixie then pulled out a quart of orange juice and held two glasses in her magic and she spun around to see the other mare blushing a little. Though she didn't know why but she felt a little self conscious and blushed. Why was this mare blushing like that, and why won't she make eye contact? "So um, what do you do. You already know what the great and powerful Trixie does?" Trixie asked pouring the orange juice into the glasses. "Oh, um I run a pie shop. My specialty is cherry pie though, kind of funny cause my name is Cherry Pie." At this both mares let out a slight giggle. "Yes, well most ponies seem to have names that match what they do. So do you want anything to eat with that?" Trixie asked. "Well what do you have?" She asked. "I have some peanut butter crackers, and some other food of course. Like I know I have some salads around here some where." Trixie started to dig around in her mini fridge. "Peanut butter crackers sounds good." She said with a smile. "Okay, as you wish." Trixie said opening a cabinet and pulling out some small packages of peanut butter crackers. "Do you like them that much that you have so many?" She asked also taking note of the many small packages. "Well, yes I do. But most of them are from fans who discovered that I loved them." Trixie said a small blush on her cheeks. "Ah don't worry, I won't tell anypony. If it helps, I love oranges just as much." She said with a wink. "Oh, so you said you make pie's?" She nodded in response. "So maybe I could come over and look through your selection, maybe we could um, uh..." "Go have lunch or dinner? Depending when you come over of course." She said trying her best to hide her excitement. "Yes, I think i'll be by in time for lunch. But uh, where is your shop?" Trixie asked. "Oh you actually passed it on your way here, but here let me draw you a little map." She said. "Do you have any paper quills I could use?" "Uh, right over here I think." Trixie answered and then pulling out a flyer and quill from a cornet. "This should do, just write on the back." "Okay." She said taking the quill with her mouth and while Trixie held the flyer to where the blank side was facing her she started making a small map. "And there you go." Spitting the quill out. "You can come by any time." She said with a wink, and before she turned around she saw another blush go onto the other mare. --- "So how it go?" Tropic asked as he saw her walking out of the wagon, and his smile turned into a frown. "Oh, Cherry don't tell me she..." "Me and her are going out for lunch sometime." She said after getting rid of the act she had been putting on. "That's great! So are you hoping to score with this one?" He asked. "In due time yes, but for right now I want to try to take things slow. I think that'll help me actually build up a relationship." She answered. "Well what if she makes a move on you?" He asked. "Then I guess i'll have to show her some of my skills won't I?" She asked a smirk on her face. --- "Eek!" She squealed. "I have a date with that Cherry Pie!" She was very excited for this was the first date she had been on in awhile, and the last one ended horribly. That mare only wanted one thing, and even though she put on an act of self centerness she was not a mare who gave herself to just anypony. They had to earn that right by treating her right. "Now let's see here." She said to herself holding up the map that Cherry drew. As she looked she recognized her wagon in front of the town hall, and there was a few buildings drawn. She was impressed that the earth pony had gotten so much detail on the map in such a short span of time. When she spotted a building on the map marked with a pie she knew that was the shop, but then her attention went to the bottom of the page. Right there was an x and o in the corner and she couldn't help but smile a bit at it , but that mare will have to do more than do something cute like this. She remembered as the mare was leaving she couldn't help but look at her flank, though she figured her flank had already been looked at. But for some reason she couldn't help but watch the mare as she walked out, she had a very nice flank though. > The Great Date > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As she woke up she couldn't help but smile to herself. She had a date today with that show mare Trixie, and she already had the date planned out if she showed up. But she still needed to work so she got out of bed before the crack of dawn and started to makehome made pie like she always did. After an hour or two she realized what time it was and switched her sign from closed to open, her smile never going away. Though it did get nervous as noon started to slowly come up, she had trouble remembering if she had told Trixie exactly what time she took her lunch break. As she thought about it she knew she hadn't told her anything like that, just that she could come over at lunch. But some ponies had different lunch schedules and she normally took hers right at twelve o'clock. She wondered if Trixie had a show planned for that time, or if she would even show up. Though thinking about Trixie made her blush from remembering last night. "Oh hey Cherry, you look rather happy today. Also kind of look rather nervous as well." Cherry turned her head to see Twilight Sparkle standing there. "Yeah, can you keep a secret for a a little while? I promise you won't have to wait long, it's just until after lunch and everything." She said looking at Twilight. Though Twilight only moved to Ponyville a little bit ago, thanks to Pinkie Pie she had made plenty of friends including Cherry. Even if they weren't as close of friends as the other five mares that seemed to always hang around Twilight, she felt confident in telling her secrets to her. But she always made sure they were ones that were only temporary secrets to make sure Twilight didn't feel any kind of pressure from keeping them. "Sure but you know I wasn't trying to pressure you into telling me or anything. In matter of fact I didn't even think you had a secret right now." Twilight said and then blushed a little. "Not that you don't have secrets I mean." "It's fine I knew what you meant, but yeah you know that show mare that showed up in town yesterday?" She asked. "Yeah, the one that talks in third pony and all. Seems to be a bit self absorb and all, why?" Twilight asked raising an eyebrow at the now very obvious nervous mare. "Do you have a crush on her?" "Um, uh, h-how did you know?" She asked blushing. "For one the way you were just talking about the show mare there seemed to be a very excited glint in your eyes, and also you blushed a little when I was talking about her. That and you just confirmed it, also I saw you go to her wagon and talk to her last night." Twilight answered with a smirk. "And knowing you, that usually means that you have a crush on somepony." "Oh, well not always! But yeah I do have a crush on her, in fact me and her might be going out on a date today." She whispered. "Really? So you already asked her out last night?" Twilight asked in a bit of surprise. "Actually no, I was going to ask but she beat me to it." She answered blushing again. "Well i'm glad that you got back into dating again, it's been what? Like a year since your last marefriend?" Twilight asked. "Yeah, but how did you know that?" She asked raising an eyebrow in suspicion. "Well for one I've never seen you on a date, unless you've been dating Tropic. But from what I hear you already did that and that's what made you realize your interest. That and Tropic actually told me." Twilight answered. "He did? Oh he's so dead when I see him again." She mumbled. "So you and Trixie going on a date huh? Never thought you were the type to go for show offs." Twilight said. "She's not a show off, I mean in a way she is. But it's her job to show off what she can do." She replied. "Okay, okay point taken. So after the show, how much did she show off?" Twilight asked again raising her own eyebrow with another smirk. "Look we only talked last night, and she wasn't that much of a show off. In matter of fact I think she just put on an act to most ponies even when she' not performing. But when I talked to her she seemed pretty normal." She answered in a stern tone. "Hmm, are you sure you didn't get an extra show?" Twilight asked her smirk growing as she leaned in over the counter, and Cherry leaning back smiled nervously and blushed. "M-maybe I got a look at her flank without her knowing." She answered averting her eyes. "So you're into flanks huh? Ever taken a look at mine when I wasn't looking?" Twilight asked. "N-no, I only look at the ones I have a crush on." She answered. "S-so um, do you need anything?" "Yeah, I would like to get one of your cherry chocolate pies." Twilight answered after letting out a giggle and moving back. "Okay, well I just made a fresh one so hold on while I get it for you." She said turning around and walking into the kitchen, but she looked back to see Twilight looking at her and blushed. "So you just made a fresh one huh? Sounds good to me." Twilight called from the counter. "Yeah, and here ya go. That'll be three bits please." She said holding out her hoof. "Alright, but I thought it was only two for me?" Twilight asked. "Well normally, but apparently I gave you your own show." She said raising an eyebrow, and Twilight blushed. "Um, yeah I was just uh, thinking and you happened to be in my line of sight when I started to wonder." Twilight said grabbing three bits from her bag. "Right, I guess I should be getting ready for my date. You know you're more than welcome to join us?" She asked. "What, no I was just seeing what Tropic was talking about." Twilight answered. "So what else did he say?" She asked her expression still cheerful but her tone filled with venom. "Well he uh, told me that he always thought that you had um, the nicest plot he ever seen." Twilight said her blush darkening. "Oh well that certainty was sweet of him, i'll have to make sure to thank him later. But you know if you do have crush on me, three ponies in a relationship is actually common." She said smiling. "Y-yeah I know, and no offense. But I don't like you in that way, not that you're not attractive or anything. It's just I don't actually swing that way." Twilight answered as she squirmed. "Fine, but if you change your mind tell us. Also tell Tropic I said hi and he better take care of those wings, or they might come up missing." She said giving Twilight a wink. "B-but how did you..." Twilight was stopped when the door bell rang and Trixie stepped through. "Let's just say he tell's me a few things as well." She said. "Now take your pie, and i'll talk to you and Tropic later." "Okay, bye." Twilight said and nodded when she walked past Trixie. "And what was she doing here? And what were you two talking about, and last who is Tropic?" Trixie asked. "She was just buying a pie, and we were talking about what I was doing for a lunch break today." She smiled at Trixie as she said that. "And Tropic is my best friend, and that was actually his new marefriend." "Oh, I would like to meet this Tropic then if he's your friend. Maybe me and him can also be friends." Trixie smiled back. "Yeah I think you two will get along." She said. "So um, are you, um ready?" Trixie asked after a moment of silence. "Oh, yeah just give me a second to put this apron back into the kitchen." She answered leaving to go back into the door to the kitchen. "Hmm, these pis all look delicious by the way." Trixie called. "Well if you want you can pick one and we'll have it for dessert." She called back and taking another moment in the kitchen to contain her excitement. Though why was she so excited that she showed up for a simple date? "A-are you sure?" Trixie asked. "Yeah, go ahead and pick one." She answered walking out of the kitchen. "Oh, well they all look so good." Trixie said looking at he display case, but then her eyes drifted to Cherry with a light blush on her. "So decided what we're having then?" She asked not exactly knowing where that gaze was actually going. "Oh um yes, I think this one." Trixie said pointing the Berry Banza Cream Pie. "That's a good choice, one of my most expensive and sought after pies." She said taking the pie out. "R-really? Then maybe I should choose another." Trixie said her gaze going back to what it was looking at before. "No it's fine really. Are you okay?" She asked. "Yeah, yeah just fine. So since I don't know this town very well, I hope you have a plan?" Trixie asked looking into her eyes as she did. "Actually I figured, so I already did make a plan. But it's a surprise, come on." She said pulling a basket out from under the counter and putting it one her back. "And what's that for?" Trixie asked though she had a good idea. "Well it's a surprise, come on already I want to get there soon to show you!" She said walking up to the door switching the signs again. "Show me what?" Trixie asked. "You'll see, so you ready?" She asked looking at Trixie with excited eyes that Trixie couldn't help but find completely adorable. As they walked together they started talking more laughing at each other's jokes, even the bad ones. A few starred at the couple but not the bad judging kind of stares, they stared at them with happiness. Especially some of the other couples around town seeing the new couple being so happy, even if this was only the first date. "So wait, he shoved a pie in your face and when he tried to take off you jumped on his back? All the while holding a pie in your hoof that you got from the table and managed to shove it in his face as your revenge even though he was flying?" Trixie asked trying to hold back her laughter. "Yeah not my brightest idea. After I did that Tropic lost control and flew us straight into a tree!" She answered rubbing her head at the memory of being stuck in the tree for a few moments, they literally busted through the tree somehow and took forever to get them out. "Haha, that's so funny. But I hope you didn't hurt yourself or him?" Trixie asked after finishing laughing with a little look of concern. "Nah, we were just fine. Though just a slight headache, though I will say that he might not have those wings for very long." She said. "Right, for what he told that Twilight girl right?" Trixie asked. "Yup, so looks like we're almost there." She said looking ahead of them. "So can you tell me where you're taking us?" Trixie asked again. "Like I said it's a surprise, I want this date to be just perfect." She answered and her eyes widening at what she just said. "I mean unless you don't think of this as a..." "No that's why I asked you out, though I wish I could have chose something for us. But don't worry i'm glad so far that I asked you out on a date, I've been having the time of my life so far. No pony has every treated me as nicely as you do." Trixie said her expression was sad. "Oh and why don't they? I mean you're a very nice mare and all, that and also pretty cute." She said slowing her pace to walk by Trixies side. "Thank you for your complement, you're also cute yourself. But the reason why no pony really treats me nicely is because either they think i'm just a show off with my magic, or if i'm dating somepony they only want one thing. For once I just want to date somepony who wants to take things slow you know?" Trixie asked looking straight into her eyes. "Yeah I know what you mean. In matter of fact that's how I ended up ruining some of my relationships. I didn't realize how fast I was taking things, but I learnt my lesson and promise myself that I wouldn't take things as fast as I did. Because of that you're the first one I've gone out with in a year, and I promise you that if you want things to go slow then I will do everything I can to make sure I don't try to rush things okay?" She asked looking down at the ground, and let out a surprised squeak when she felt a pair of lips on her cheek. "W-what?" "That's for understanding, and thank you." Trixie said looking at the ground blushing. "Oh, um. uh look we're here!" She said trying to take her mind off of what just happened, but she was already lost in her giddiness and thought to herself that she would never wash that cheek again even if things didn't work out. "Wow, this is an amazing view." Trixie said looking out from a hill top that had a single oak tree on top of it. "Yeah, it really is. I found this spot when I was young, always come out here at least once a week to watch the sunset like we're doing right now. As far as I can tell no pony else knows about this spot." She replied looking at the view, though it didn't feel like it they actually been talking for hours, and then she looked over at Trixie who had an awe expression and the suns gleaming lights reflecting from her eyes. "So you come here that often then?" Trixie asked, and then her eyes widened. "Sorry I thought I would pay you back for surprising me." She giggled at the expression Trixie gave her as she rubbed her own hoof on her cheek where she just been kissed. "I-I suppose that's only fair. So what, um did you bring in that basket?" Trixie asked smiling. "Oh, i'm sure you've already guessed that I made us a picnic." She said grabbing a blanket from the basket that was neatly folded and she unfolded it to lay out. "Come on, lay down I promise as long as you don't kiss me anymore than I won't kiss you anymore." "A-alright, so what um, did you make?" Trixie asked. "Well there's that pie you chose, then also some salad and a daffodil and rose lasagna." She said placing each thing out on the blanket. "They look very good, thank you for um, making it." Trixie said putting her hoof onto Cherrys, which made her blush. "So what do you want first?" She asked looking away to the view. "I think I want to try some of that lasagna first." Trixie answered. As they ate they watched the rest of the sunset, both couldn't believe that a lunch date turned into a dinner date. But it was well worth it as they kept stealing glances at each other while they talked. But as the sun kept getting lower the brisk night time autumn air made them shiver, and without realizing it they moved closer to each other for warmth until they were touching. "So, again thank you for the picnic and for being so nice to me." Trixie said. "It's no problem, next time you can do something for the date. Maybe show me some more magic you can do?" She asked nervously. "Yeah, I would love to go on another date with you. And maybe I will show you more of my incredible skills in magic." Trixie said making Cherry blush a little. "Oh I don't mean like that, I just meant.." "Oh just relax, I knew what you meant. But you're cute when you start to panic a little." She let out a giggle. "Well I suppose I have to get back to my wagon." Trixie said after they finished packing. "But that's so far away, how about you sleep over at my house tonight? I have a guest room you can stay in, and it's not that far away." She suggested. "You don't live at your shop like a lot of these ponies do?" Trixie asked. "Nah, I use that space for storage. I live on the outskirts of town, my brother gave me it after he joined the Royal Guard." She answered with a proud smile. "Well I suppose if you're offering, but remember your promise. Don't try anything." Trixie said playfully. "Only in my dreams." She said making Trixie roll her eyes. "You bet your flank only in your dreams." Trixie giggled. As they walked towards her house she couldn't believe things went this smoothly. Not that she would make a move on her of course, she wanted to take things slow as well. But it seems that Trixie is the mare of her dreams and she wanted to do everything in her power to keep her there. > The Great Hearth's Warming Eve > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- They laid down by the fireplace in her house warming up from spending a good part of the day outside making snowponies. Trixie and her had the best time, especially since Trixie was now living with her full time. She didn't give up her job but she stopped traveling and did shows for foals birthday parties now. But that didn't matter since they now had each other and they were spending Hearths Warming Eve together. Though they never thought it would get here so fast since they both agreed not to take things fast, but one thing lead to another and now they were living together. They were happy just to snuggle up with each other by the fire and contempt to just nuzzle each other. "So this is our first Hearth's Warming Eve together, what do you want to do?" Cherry asked. "Well I know that you said we didn't have to get each other anything, but I couldn't help myself." Trixie said with a smile as she levitated a box over. "Well actually I got you two things, but one i'll show you later. This one you can have now." "Oh, Trixie thank you! Speaking of which hold on, I also got you something." She said with a slight blush and went over to the closet to retrieve the gift. "Here, i'm sorry but I didn't get you anything more." "it is alright, all I need is your smile. And i'm sure that my other gift will be more than enough a gift for both of us." Trixie said, though there was something to her tone. "What do you mean?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "You will find out after we open our gifts and drink some hot coco." Trixie answered with a slight smile. "Alright." She replied, but just as she was about to sit down they heard a loud crash from outside. "What was that?" "I have no idea let's go check it out." Trixie said standing up going to the door. When they got outside they couldn't believe what they saw in Cherry's front yard. What looked like some kind of phone booth was sitting there making some kind of weird sound. They both just stared at in shock for a second before three ponies came out, two unicorns and and earth pony. One unicorn was brown with a darker brown mane and tail, his cutie mark was a spatula bent to what they guess looked like a musical note. The other unicorn was more gray with a black mane and tail his eyes were different colors, one orange, one blue, and they really didn't pay attention to his cutie mark because they didn't know what to make of it. The earth pony was also a brown color and had an hour glass as his cutie mark. "I told you not to press that switch Onyx." The brown unicorn said to the other one. "Hey he told me to Song, but hey doc where are we?" The one that they called Onyx asked the earth pony. "Well we're in Ponyville, a parallel Ponyville to be exact." The earth pony said. "So we're in another dimension? Great, how long until you can take us back to our own dimension? I want to be back in time for Hearth's Warming Eve." The one called Song said. "It'll only take me about an hour to fix everything. Oh good evening ladies, we hope we didn't interrupt anything did we?" The one called doc asked turning to the two staring mares. "Um, uh, who are you all?" Cherry asked. "Well you can just call me the doctor, and these two are just someponies I picked up recently. The brown one here is named Baker Song, everypony calls him Song for short. The grey one is named Onyx Illusion, though you can just call him Onyx. And we are very sorry if we ruined something." The doctor said and they realized that he had a weird accent. "Um, we were just about to open our presents." Trixie muttered. "Oops, sorry about that then." Song said slightly hanging his head as well as Onyx. "It's no problem, so um do you need any help?" Cherry asked. "Well do you think you could let these two in while I do some repairs to my phone booth?" The Doctor asked. "I rather not them get in the way and send us to another dimension." "Um, yeah sure. You did say it'll only take about an hour to repair whatever that thing is?" Cherry asked looking at the two strange stallions. "Yes, give or take. Hopefully with these two out of the way it'll take less thought." The Doctor answered. "Hey I told you I could help, I am two hundred years old after all." Song commented. "Now, not in front of these two wonderful mares. After all they seem to be kind enough to let you in while I fix the Tardis." The Doctor replied. "Fine, thank you by the way." Song said nodding to the two mares. "Yeah, thanks." Onyx also said. "Um, no problem right Trixie?" Cherry asked. "If it's okay with you, then it's okay with me." Trixie said nuzzling her. "On second thought if you two are busy, i'm sure the Doctor wouldn't mind if we hung out here." Song said after raising and an eyebrow. "No, no it's fine really. We weren't doing anything." Cherry answered both her and Trixie now weren't blushing because of the cold. "Are you sure? I mean we can just cast a warming spell on us and we'll be fine." Onyx said with a slight smirk. "So are you two coming in or what?" Trixie asked pulling Cherry back to the door. They followed them to the inside of the door and decided to stand rather than sit on one of the couches. The four talked a little bit the two stallions did their best to avoid talking about where they come from and how they met the Doctor. And soon it was time to leave. "Well it's been a lovely forty minutes, but I guess we'll see you all around in our own way." Song said before giving a nod and walked into the booth. "Yeah, bye." Onyx said also stepping into the booth. "Have a lovely evening ladies, and oh and early congratulations to you Ms. Cherry on your pregnancy later." The Doctor said and before they could respond he stepped inside and the booth started to make sound again and before they knew it the thing disappeared. "Well that was strange, I wonder what he meant by me getting..." She was cut off by a pair of lips. "You know, I think since they left it's time for your second present. Meet me upstairs in your bedroom." Trixie said with half lidded eyes before she went back into the house. "Well, looks like tonight is going to be a good night." She said to herself already forgetting what the Doctor told her as she rushed upstairs.
