In the town of Ponyville,
Beneath a moonlit starry sky.
A top a hillside under an oak tree,
Sat Discord and Fluttershy.

They both sat there beneath the tree,
Their wings wrapped around one another.
They sat together beneath Luna's stars,
They both happily smiled at each other.

Discord gave a toothy grin,
And Fluttershy nuzzled his neck.
As his cheeks glowed a shade of red,
She gave him an affectionate peck.

They sat together as two lovers,
It's hard to believe, but it's true. 
And if you sit and listen for a while,
The story of how, I'll tell to you.

Discord was the spirit of chaos,
and he was a draconequus,
Fluttershy was a shy pony.
Though that's not news to us.

Discord body reflected his nature,
It consisted of all sorts of things. 
Two different horns, arms and legs
Even two oddly paired of wings.

As Fluttershy, she was a pegasus,
Her coat pale-yellow, her mane pink.
Though she can seem timid at times,
She was much braver then much ponies think.

Her special gift helped her connect, 
With animals both big or small.
For she was the Element of Kindness,
Which isn't surprising at all.

Discord tried once before to spread chaos,
But now he's changed his old ways.
Though he hasn't stop pulling pranks,
Just like the good ol' days.

Fluttershy was the reason why,
His old ways had come to an end.
After showing him the way of kindness,
And what it meant to have a friend.

As the two spent time together,
Their friendship has always grown,
But soon Discord felt something new,
Feeling to him that was unknown.

He was the Spirit of Chaos itself,
So strange feelings were nothing new.
But this feeling was something different,
And why that was? He wish he knew.

What was this feeling that he had?
And also what was the reason why.
Was it really a coincidence,
That he only felt it around Fluttershy?

Why did his stomach feel full of butterfly?
Was it an illness, disease or something bad?
With his confusing feelings, 
This was starting to driving him mad.

One day, Discord couldn't take any longer,
And so for answer he went off to find.
To solve the menacing mystery,
Of this feeling that plagued his mind.

Discord decide to go to Twilight,
Since she was the smartest of the six.
Though along the way, he couldn't help,
But play a few harmless tricks.

After a few chocolate thunder storms,
Also a little horn and wings switcheroo.
Discord arrived at the Golden Oak Library,
Home to the pony he wished to speak to.

The door was opened by a little dragon,
And the mad creature casually strolled in,
Though Spike's face blushed crimson red,
'Cause of the thong Discord made appear on him.

As Spike ran off to remove an underwear,
Discord stretched his neck out, literally.
He expected to find Twilight deep in a book
But there was no sight of the pony.

Then suddenly Discord heard a voice,
Which came from upstairs.
It was the voice of Twilight Sparkle,
She shouted, “Hello, who's there?”

“Hello, my dear bookworm,” Discord cried out.
“I came here on this glorious day,
Because (though I hate to admitted it) I need your help
To chase some problem away!”



(Come now, author! I could write better poetry about dancing tables and singing plats pots! Okay, fine It's your poem, I suppose...)

Twilight appeared, a lavender unicorn,
As she causally made her way down the staircase.
“So what brings you here, Discord?” she asked,
She shrieked as he appeared in front of her face.

“I have this feeling,” he explained
“And most strange and alien it is to me,
But oddly, it only makes itself known,
When I'm around that Fluttershy pony.”

“I'm the god of Chaos, the master of strange,
But this kind of strange, it puzzles me.
I've been feeling like this for awhile,
Ever since I befriended that kind pony.”

“I feel my heart beating much faster,
Here, won't you have a look?”
Discord literally took out his heart, 
Twilight shielded her eyes with a book.

“Furthermore, my body feels all warm and fuzzy,”
Said Discord, putting his heart back. 
“It's like nothing I've ever felt before,
Like my very being is being attacked.”

“Yet it feels quite nice and really good,
Even delicious like chocolate rain.
Twilight, do you know what's wrong with me?"
He kneeled, “If so, could you explain.”

Twilight looked at the draconequus,
Her smile as bight as the sunny sky.
She said to him, “The answer's simple, Discord,
You're in love with Fluttershy.”

Discord had a surprise look on his face,
Him in love with her? How could it be?
Could this really be the reason why, 
He felt like this around the timid beauty?

“I'm in love with Fluttershy?” Discord asked.
“Yes, Discord. It's very easy to see.
That's the reason why you feel like this,”
Said Twilight, as she smiled with glee.

Discord put his paw on his heart,
It was beating so fast it might explode.
He never felt this in over thousands of years,
Not even when turning pony into a toad.

He blushed a little of thinking of Fluttershy,
Of how she open her home to him.
It was the only time in a millennia,
Somepony wanted to be his friend.

He flew around Twilight with joy in him.
“Oh, joy,” Discord spoke with rejoice.
“I simply must tell how I feel,
That in love she is my only choice.”

Twilight then spoke, as he watch him flying around.
"Well, I don't mean to ruin your happy thought.
But I wouldn't be so quick to tell her that,”
Discord stopped and turned to her “What, why not?”

“Well, what if she doesn't feel the same way,” 
She explained. “Then what will you do?
If she says that only wants to be friends,
Would that really be okay with you?”

He thought about what Twilight had just said,
And now thoughts of worry began to set in
Why would go with something like me?
A monster who best trait is a toothy grin.


He snapped out of his daze, grabs Twilight,
And held her up high and wore noticeable frown.
“What am I suppose to do?” he asked.
“I'll tell you, but you first put me down.”

Discord then dropped Twilight onto the floor,
She lets out an audible “Ow!”
“So tell me what to do?”  said Discord.
“Please tell me! Tell me now!”

Twilight merely rolled her eyes, 
As she got up off the floor, a most embarrassing scene
“The best thing to do is give her hints,”
He scratched his head “Huh, what do you mean?”

“Well it's quite simple, Discord,” Twilight explained,
“Give her flowers, complement how she looks,
Take her on a picnic to gaze at the stars,
Trust me on this, Discord. I read it in many books.”

As she explained he began imagine,
All the outcomes that could happen.
From her saying she loves him back,
To saying she only likes him as a friend.

He knew he had a plan figured out,
Smiling widely. Happy as can be,
“Thank you for helping me out, Twilight,
But you'll excuse me. There's a pony I need to see.”

As he was leaving, Twilight couldn't help but giggle,
It's hard to believe that he could really change.
But with one snap his fingers, her books circled the room,
She let out a sigh, Nope, he's still the same.

He soon stood Fluttershy's cottage,
And gentle knocked on the door. 
Before she arrived, he summoned some flowers,
The timid pegasus opened up, “Oh, hi Discord.”

He looked at her and not speaking of his thoughts,
Love so sudden she caught the scent of her sweet smell,
Like fresh picked daises, she stole his heart away completely.
He blushed deeply just thinking of her, and didn't hide it well.

“Are you okay, Discord? You're face is red?”
“Yes, I'm fine Fluttershy. Oh, and these are for you.”
He handed her the flowers, which she smelled,
“They're lovely, Discord.  How'd you turn roses blue?”

“It was nothing really, Fluttershy,” he said blushing.
“You look very stunning by the way,” said Discord
“Um thank you Discord,” she said with a blush,
Though to you look more beautiful than before.

“I don't want to be rude or anything
But is there a reason you stopped by?”
“Why yes there is. Would you like to go 
“On a picnic with me, by the oak tree on the hillside?”

“I'd love to go you with you, Discord,” she smiled,
“I'm sure that it will be a lot of fun.”
“Excellent, let's go,” Discord scooped her up.
“While the day is still young.”

With a snap there they were, by the oak tree on a hillside.
“Oh my, the view is beautiful, Discord,” she said happily.
He simply gazed at the timid mare,
He was sure that with her he wanted to be.

He summoned a blanket and a picnic basket,
It was filled with delicious treats, for the two to share.
They then talked, they laugh, and together they played,
The time they had was such fun, they didn't have a worry or care.

When they were done eating, with a snap,
The mess was gone and the two gazed up at the stars.
“The sky looks so lovely tonight,”said Fluttershy,
Discord sat next to his love, trying to calm his heart.

“Oh, look Discord! A shooting star!” she pointed out,
“Make a wish! Quick before its out of range.”
As they both closed their eyes, Discord whispered,
I wish she'll feel the same.
He opened his eyes and looked at her,

“So, Fluttershy. Do you enjoy spending time with me?”
Fluttershy looked up at him with her slightly tilted,
“Of course I do. Why wouldn't I be, silly?”

Discord took a deep breath, “Um Fluttershy,
There's something I need to tell you.”
“What is it, Discord?” she asked. 
"Well, I...I think I love  you.”

“When I'm with you my thoughts are jumbled,
And you're always so kind to me,
So, just thought I'd take a chance,
And ask you to be my special somepony.”

She looked at the ground and said not a word,
He saw her shifting nervously.
He fell to the ground, feeling defeated,
I guess she doesn't like me.

He then soon felt a tap on his shoulder,
It was Fluttershy, her eyes spoke with loving care,
Without hesitation, she deeply kissed him on his lips,
Time had slowed down for the moment that they shared.

He looked at her, with his cheeks all red,
“I love you too,” Fluttershy said.
They then embraced each other with their wings,
While Discord danced with joy in his head.

So from that night upon their love did grow,
And to each other, they gave their hearts.
Their love seemed almost impossible,
But that's how the best ones start.

So there they were, the two lovers lay,
Underneath the starry sky.
“I love you too, Discord,” she whispered
“And I love you too, Fluttershy.”

He then gave her a peck on her head,
They then snuggled under the moonlight.
So that's how the two fell in love,
