As it chased me through the woods it forced me to go deeper and deeper into the forest and the darkness until I ran straight off the cliff and then...
--"Oh wait that's to far, heh heh. I should probably tell you how I got there first...
The following crazy events all started on a normal, foggy day, at my boring, crappy job, oh and I forgot to introduce myself, " I am forgetting everything today. "(Probably because it's your special day.) Well my name is Star Flower, I am a female bat pony, luckily one of the few who is fertile, I have one full sister (named Blood Flower) 41 half-sisters and 63 half-brothers, my mom is a wh@#e (and i mean that litteraly not just because shes a breeder.) , my dad is an awesome farmer and father, and I was a receptionist and by was I mean I got fired when some guy called (who had been bugging me for awhile) and started insulting me and said things like,--
"So are you going to join the family business you wh@#e, cause I am looking for some more fun."
He had been talking like this for a while and i finally snapped and yelled back at him,
"So are you going to get a life, and how do you know all these things about me you b@#$*&g stalker, how about you go back to the hole you crawled from you mother b@#$%!, and then I hung up on the b!^# face."
" STAR TO MY OFFICE NOW," shouted Boss (Oh and Boss is literally my bosses name.)
" Great, first I am verbally molested, then my jerk of a boss is pissed at me," I mumbled.
" What was that Star?"
" Nothing," I sigh.
Once I got into his office he simply said,
"Go pack your stuff and leave."
" Where will I go?"
" Do not know do not care."
" A## face."
" Watch what you say, oh and if you want you can stay, if you want to keep this job you can show me how much you're like this mother I've heard about," he raises his eyebrows. If you catch my drift.
" Hell no you sicko!"
" Well then leave," he plainly states.
While I leave the room I hear him say, " I will get her someday."
" You wish you old sick pervert," I yell over my shoulder.
When I get to my office I break down crying (even though I should probably be happy getting away from such a horrible place.)
" What's wrong Flower?"
I instantly know that it is Bolt talking to me, because only he is allowed to call me Flower. " Nothing, I just got fired today, Bolt," I respond.
He has been like a big brother to me although he used to have a crush on me when I first came in but his reaction when I friend zoned him was priceless. He was frozen until Boss came up to his face and yelled at him with his drunken breath. " I'm going to miss you," says Bolt.
" You know you can visit me anytime," I remind him.
" Yeah yeah I know but everyone else here is boring, and who will I talk to," he says in a childish voice.
" I don't know, maybe Lily she seems like she's pretty nice and I bet she has a crush on you."
He looks over at Lily while tapping his chin and contemplating it, she winks at him and then pushes her glasses back up. " Maybe."
I then pack my stuff while mildly talking to Bolt, my few possestions are, a picture of me and my dad, and a stress ball,(That I got from the "Anger Management In The Workplace".) that Bolt drew a smiley face on. Later I added a evil uni-brow to it and wrote Boss on there. Before I left the building I said goodbye to Lily and wished her luck on getting Bolt to ask her out on a date. When I said goodbye to Bolt he started crying, and when I mentioned it to him he said it was liquid pride because promotion or not I was finally leaving this hellhole.
I left and started heading home, walking through the city of Manehatten and into the small town of Flower Cove although there are few flowers there other than in my yard which has all kinds of flowers in it like tulips, red roses, white roses, and blue roses (which I made), I could go on forever naming the flowers in my yard. (it could even be my special talent)
I was almost to the town when all of a sudden some kind of monster at the edge of the forest came towards me waving its appendages. Starteld by its sudden appearance I fell and started to roll down the really steep hill that was next to the path. My wings tryed to extend to help me balance and failed to do so. A loud crack came from my body and I felt an extremely sharp pain run down my wing and straight into my side. I finally stopped rolling at the bottom of the hill and looked and saw that my wing was broken, and in a creepy position. I slowly pushed it into a tucked position and pain shot through me. I stood up but pain shot through me again, one of my ribs must have broke from the way it hurt every time I tried to breath in.
I looked around and saw nothing in the forest behind me but when I looked forward again it was standing right there in front of me. It started to raise a tentacle. I screamed and ran. Running through the woods which seemed to go on forever I could feel it not far behind. As I galloped past some trees I saw a note or two on them and when I passed right by one I grabbed it with my uninjured wing. The paper was old and it looked like it was written with blood and it said, " He is always watching but has no eyes." Creepy. I dropped it and continued running and then before I knew it I ran of the side of a cliff. I screamed but found that something had my back left hoof. I saw a beach about twenty feet below me and then looked up and saw that the monster was holding me with one of it's tentacles. I screamed and kicked and then tried to fly and pain shot through me. " D#%@it," I mentally cursed. It slowly pulled me up and I saw it had no face, no mouth, nothing. When it finished pulling me up it put a tentacle where it's mouth would have been as if in a shushing motion, and then it slipped and fell. It didn't get any grip and I found myself saying that last word that I thought I would ever say, "NOOOOoooooo." It hit the ground with no noise. Looking with baited breath I looked and I saw it was somehow still freaking breathing and after looking around I quickly found a ledge going down the side of the cliff and scattered down it like a mountain goat. I felt the impulse to take it with me and nurture it. It seemed light enough to carry so I picked it up and put on my back.
I then started heading back to the hill I rolled down and broke my wing on. On the way I was thinking about all that had happened in this short amount of time. “Why was I helping this thing that had tried to hurt me,” I asked myself. “But then I realized that it hadn’t been trying to hurt me but had been trying to warn me of something, but of what,” I had wondered to myself. I walked up the hill and back onto the path I had been on earlier and all of a sudden I heard a loud moan resound from my back, “ hang in there we’ll be there soon.” I then continued on the path until I got to the edge of the town and then slipped my way through the town like a bada$$ ninja pony. “Even though it was pi… (”hey stop that, it tickle’s.” Yeah so. “So I’m trying to tell our story.” “Yeah fine, but your mine tomorrow night.”) Yeah as I was saying, even though it was pitch black outside, it was probably so easy because I knew this town like the back of my front hoof. When I made it to my house I saw the legendary moon-lace flower glowing silver in my window sills. I walked up to a rock and flipped it and grabbed the key. I tripped on my way up the steps… (Bwahahahahhahahahahahaha, shut up and go get ready you big jerk you shouldn't see my dress yet anyways. Fine fine I'm going) as I was saying, I tripped on my way up the steps but got back up and unlocked the front door. As soon as I walked in the door I heard twelve loud dongs from my grandfather clock. That was a bit weird it was only seven twenty-three when I left my old work space. I then walked into the house and I was about to set the thing down on my red silk cushioned couch when it was covered from snout to hoof with mud. (Don't know what I was thinking)
So I took it to the bathroom and set it down on the floor while I went and grabbed a chair that I could put it in the shower and bathe the thing. I came back into the bathroom and set to work. I first took off its clothes and then set it down in the shower, and it was that moment that I realized that I did not know its gender. ( This is so weird ) I lifted its hind leg and found out that it was a male. Oh wow that makes this even more weird I’m now bathing a male who I don't even know. Fighting how weird this felt to be doing this, I turned on the water and started rubbing soap into his coat, and then used my mane wash and started rubbing it where shockingly there was now somewhat of a mane. After I finished washing and drying him off I took him to my couch and set him down and started analyzing his wounds and found three fractured ribs, his left back hind leg was broken, and all of his tentacle thingies but one were broken in multiple places. (Oh and if you were wondering the way I can tell this stuff is because for some time I worked as a nurse.)
So I went and grabbed my first aid kit from the bottom of the kitchen sink. I then started to patch up his cuts (that were still bleeding) and then put casts on all his breaks and fractures. I stared at my broken wing which was bent in such a funny angle. I grabbed it and snapped it back into place I screamed out in pain and agony, I started to rap it up in a cast and splinter through all the pain after finishing I looked for other things, and then found that there was a long slash mark across my back left flank. (Oh great now other ponies are going to start asking how that happened and stuff.) Well I bandaged that up and then walked into my bedroom and was about to fall flat on my bed and realized that I need to give him a blanket to keep it warm so I went and grabbed a blanket. When I walked into the room I found that he now had a mouth. (I mean how is this happening?) Well then I put a blanket on him and started to tuck him in, and started silently giggling to myself because he smelled like my shampoo and coat wash, like rose’s and mint, funny. The stuff seemed to work though cause I could now see him quite clearly now. He had a white coat like freshly fallen snow, black and dark grey mane like the night sky, and for a cutie mark he had a ragged red circle with a scrabbled x mark through it's center. (I wonder what that means?)
I went back to my bedroom and collapsed on the bed without even getting under the covers cause I was so tired from the recent ordeals, and as soon as I hit the bed, I was dead asleep, like a rock. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock at five thirty in the morning and started hitting it to turn it off and when that failed I just unplugged it and threw it to the corner of my room. Slowly I got up and started getting ready for work but then remembered that I was fired yesterday. So I just went back to sleep until about seven twenty-five or so and started cooking breakfast for myself and I sat and ate it by myself like my normal morning and then I made some more food for the creature. When I was done I put it on a tray and carried it into the living room and stumbled to keep from dropping it when I saw he had eye’s and everything (I mean how the b@#$ does that happen) I gathered myself up and straightened up the stuff on the tray and walked up to him and poked his face to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, after finding it true I sat down with him and got started feeding him. I fed him by chewing up the food and then feeding it to him. (because he didn't have teeth yet (awww sick. Get out Slendy, now!)
I fed him until it was all gone. It was 6:07 in the morning so i cleaned up the mess and went to find something to do after some debate I decided to read Daring Doo. I sat there for quite a while and suddenly he started to move and squirm kicking his legs all over the place, and was knocking stuff over. It seemed like he was having some some sort of nightmare. I don't know exactly what it was but I think it was a motherly like nature that made me cuddle up. So I closed my book, walked over to him, and cuddled up to him and tried to calm him by petting his hair softley. It seemed to work because he calmed down and wrapped himself around me. After a while I fell asleep from the warmth eminating from his body. (And I gotta admit I really liked cuddeling up next to him.) I woke with a start from the sound of knocking at the door. I fell off the couch trying to get to the door, and then remembered about him so I threw two pillows on his face and hind legs to hide them, and then walked to the door and opened it.
"Hello who's there?" I asked as I opened the door.
"Hey Flower, I thought you said that I could visit anytime," Bolt said with exageration. "Soooo, what's up?"
"The sky," I said with sarcasm. He was always acting like that being like my big brother and stuff.
"Smart alec."
"Well then why are you here because you still have work right now."
"There's no work today because someone found a some blood and stuff on the beach and they were short on detectives so they called in boss because he's apparently an ex detective."
"Really I never would have known if you didn't just tell me, I stated."
"So can I come in or will I stand here all day cause I am hungry."
"Oh yeah of course sorry about that." I walked past him and looked at the couch and didn't see the lump there anymore so I freaked a little getting worried but managed to hide it."So lets go to the kitchen and eat. So what did you come here for Bolt?"
"Well I came to ask how to uh... talk to girls."
"What did you ask, I said as I pretended to clean my ears and turn towards him"
"I came to get advice, he said shyly."
"Still can't hear you, I said with a taunting voice."
"I need some advice on women ok."
"Oh so you want to ask Lily out."
"Yeah I guess because you said something about her liking me witch is pretty good cause I have had a small crush on her for a while."
"Well first you need to have confidence and be straight forward no parading around the question."
"Um ok I guess I will try but where will I take her?"
"She likes that Hay and Salad place."
"Oh well awesome I guess I will-
"Ugh what happened my head feels like a hurricane and wait am I talking, huh that's weird." Bolt opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out and then he ran for the door I flew to get there before him and stopped him.
"Stop and at least hear me out please."
He shakily said,"sure but please don't let it hurt me."
"That "it" has a name, and also you are being extremely rude."
"Well your scary I mean your the size of a prince, and what is your name?"
"Well yes I am tall and my name is Slender Mane."
"Let's go into the living room," I said as I pushed them both into the living room. I sat down on the recliner, Bolt sat on the love couch, and Slender sat on the big couch.
"So why did you bring it I mean him here," said Bolt with exasperation.
"Well I first was scared, ran, and then fell, but he saved me but then fell and I guess I thought I should repay the favor and brought him back to my house to nurse to his wounds. Oh and I haven't asked yet but why did you save me when you were chasing me at first?"
"Well I was just trying to scare you to protect you from the other monsters that were on your trail," said Slender.
"But why are you different," I asked.
"I wasn't always a monster but I don't feel like going over something so personal right now," said Slender.
