> Fusion Pony > by TheExhaustedBrony > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > What just happened? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The blinding light vanished from Twilight's eyes and left her in a daze. "Ugh, did it work? Girls?" Twilight groaned. "Twilight, what the hay didja do ta me, err, us?!" Applejack barked. "Applejack? Where are you? What happened?" Twilight began searching the room for her friend. "What happened? Why don't you tell me? Jus' what did ya do?!" Applejack yelled. Twilight felt a nudge on her back. When she turned to face her friend, she saw nopony behind her. She could also hear the sobs of her friend Rainbow Dash, "What's going on? Where are you? Is Rainbow Dash okay?" "Twilight! I hate you so much right now!" Rainbow Dash said, fighting her tears to no avail. The alicorn turned her head to see that all of her friends were now attached to her body, at least their heads were. It was a sight that could only be described as unnatural. Twilight was at a loss for words. When she said that the machine would bring them all together, she had no idea that it would literally fuse their bodies into one. All she could do is wonder, why did this happen? How did this happen? Is this reversible? Do my friends hate me? How can I look at everypony if they hate me? "T-Twilight, I hope you have some way to fix this." Rarity scoffed, "Being stuck to you is one thing, but not having control over my hooves is another. How am I supposed to do my job at Carousel Boutique without them?!" Rainbow Dash was bawling her eyes out. Her hopes to become a Wonderbolt have been destroyed. Having been fused to Twilight Sparkle at the neck, the pegasus had no wings, or at least, her own wings. She started crying even harder when she realized she didn't have hooves to wipe her face with. Fluttershy's head was limply dangling from Twilight's left side. The moment Twilight's experiment was finished, the sudden changes to her body must have been too much for her to handle causing her to pass out, probably for the best. The last thing Twilight wanted was another pony to yell at her. She looked so peaceful. "I'm sorry girls. I don't know what to say. I-I had no idea that this would happen. If I had known, I would never have asked you to be part of the experiment..." Twilight hung her head low in shame. "So because you didn't see any danger, you didn't have any reason to not put us in its way? I'm sorry, Twilight, but as your friend, I have to say that what you've done was absolutely careless. I expected you, of all ponies, to take extra precautions with your little science experiments." Tears began to well in the lavender alicorn's eyes. She felt extremely guilty about what she had done and to have her friends reinforce her guilt only made things worse. "I-I'm so sorry... I just-" "Rarity, I know you're angry, we all are, but scoldin' Twilight isn't going to fix this. We should accept her apology for what it's worth for now and put our, er... heads together and think of a way to get out of this mess." "That's easy for you to say!" Rainbow Dash shook her head, trying to shake the tears off her face, "All I can think about now is how my life is now ruined because Twilight had to experiment on us!" "Applejack is right." Rarity turned her head as far as she could, trying to face Rainbow Dash, "Bickering won't separate us. Twilight is the one who got us into this and we need to help her get us out of it." Rarity turned to Twilight, "I'm sorry, dear, but I just let my emotions get the better of me. While this is truly unfortunate and completely undesirable, we need to learn how to help you fix us." "Seeing how we're stuck to you for now, we can help you with building the machine. Granny Pie always said, two heads are better than one! Or in this case, six! Haha!" "Pinkie Pie?" Twilight raised an eyebrow, "Where are you?" "Ah dunno. I don't see her anywhere on ya." "I'm in here!" The voice brought Twilight's attention to Fluttershy, still passed out, "In where?" suddenly, Fluttershy's mouth started moving and out popped Pinkie Pie, who was fused to her tongue. "W-w-w-w-whaaaat?!" Twilight's heart almost skipped a beat as she reared back, shocked by the discovery. "Hay now, careful! We're now attached ta ya now, Twilight. Please be careful." Applejack sighed. "Oh, yea, sorry about that." Twilight smiled awkwardly. "So, purple smart, got any ideas on how to get us unstuck?" Rainbow Dash sneered. It was obvious and understandable that her attitude will take some time to change. "Hey! You know what you should do? Send a letter to the princess!" Pinkie Pie suggested in her usually cheery attitude. Twilight found it slightly unsettling that Pinkie was so unphased about the situation that they were in, but then again, it is Pinkie Pie after all. "That's a good start. Spike, where are you?" "I'm here Twilight!" Spike hopped down the steps to the lab. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped to the floor when he saw the result of Twilight's experiment, "W-what happened?! Why are you? How?" "I'm not sure either, Spike. We need you to help us send a letter to the princess. We have no idea where to begin and we figured that informing Princess Celestia would be a great way to start." "O-okay then," Spike brought out his pen and paper, "Ready." Twilight cleared her throat, "Ahem." "Dear Princess Celestia, My friends and I seem to have gotten ourselves into a sticky situation as a result of my reckless behavior. Their heads have fused to my body and none of us know of anything that could remedy this. Please help! Your faithful student (and princess), Twilight Sparkle."
