He looked around dazed. As he looked around the room, he focused his eyes on the doctor who was already talking with Twilight. He got up and approached the two. Once the doctor had seen Spike, he flinched, quickly putting up the clipboard as a shield. Spike, still groggy, stared in confusion. Twilight let out an awkward laugh. After a few seconds, the doctor looked at Spike, realized nothing happened and went back to his normal standing. "Terribly sorry, I thought you were... Nevermind. So Spike, your wife is inside the delivery room still. Everything went well. She gave birth to a..." The doctor began flipping through clipboard pages. He looked a bit surprised. Spike gave him a powerful nudge which made him stumble back a little. Twilight gave Spike a scolding look. "Sorry. C'mon doctor, out with it," he said. "Alright, alright, sorry. She gave birth to a dragon-pony hybrid." Everyone in the room was stunned, even Spike. The doctor looked at all of them, confused. "What? Come now, don't tell me you guys didn't expect this! I mean come on, it was really obvious!" Spike narrowed his eyes at the tone of the doctor's voice. He cleared his throat. " I, uh, apologize for my tone. Anyways, she has given birth to a dragon-pony hybrid. She's just inside in the recovery room. You foals, and dragon, can go inside, but only in groups of 3. I'd recommend that Spike go in alone because of his... size." Spike looked at the others. Twilight smiled. "Go on ahead Spike, we'll go after." Spike gave a large grin and jogged inside the delivery room. He quickly brushed passed several nurses and doctors. He finally reached the room Rarity was inside. He slowly opened the door, hoping not to startle her. Once he opened the door, he found her cradling their child. It wasn't a foal, nor a dragon. It was both put into one, beautiful, purple baby hybrid. Spike couldn't hold back his tears when he saw their child. Rarity heard Spike's little sobs. "Spike," she called out. "Look at our new child. She's... She's beautiful!" The purple hybrid stared back up at them, grabbing the air around her. "What should we name her?" Spike began throwing out random names, hoping for one of them to get picked. "How about Scales?" He asked. "Bloom? Violet? How about Rose- wait, she's not red." Rarity rolled her eyes. "How about Clarity?" Spike quickly nodded. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Clarity works. Whatever you say babe!" Rarity rolled her eyes again and giggled.
