> Could be for understanding > by Fat1thatyoulove > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 1 – Could be for you The weather around Ponyville has now come under winters full hold, truthfully you would think a world where temperatures could be altered there would at least be a little bit of a warning. However, thanks to the cold snow filled world you and Twilight don't really have to spend a lot of time outside of the house, which is a good thing seeing as how telling Violet's predominantly stallion friends she was sick wasn't really the best decision. It's already nerve racking trying to keep the young mare in the house since she was able to clone all of the spell ingredients she needed, and having Sparky stop by just about every other day doesn't really make your ever vigilant watch any easier. Note to self, living in a library in a time when there's almost nothing else to do but read books is definitely not the kinda place you want to have a young mare in heat. "...Ok Aerolight say mommy." The encouraging baby voice slowly brings your mind from it's thoughts as you sigh one last comment to yourself, at least heat only last about two and a half weeks. Twilight's voice doesn't bring the desired response from the little colt sitting in his high chair as he just wiggles his front hooves towards the mare with a loud baby like squall, "Awhh.." His high pitched happy nonsense brings a smile to your face as you speak up, "Do you really think he will say something?" Your comment brings Twilight's head back from the colt as she taps her hoof to her mouth, but her quick mind brings her know it all tone out within the moment as she rolls her hoof to you, "A foal learns their first words at one month, and Aerolight is a month and two days old...So yes I do think he can say something, soon." You nod to the comment as you turn your gaze to the colt, "Alright Aerolight...Say Da-da." The dark cream coated colt turns his eyes to you with a baby like O face as he just stares to you. "Don't confuse him." Twilight scoots her chair a little closer towards the high chair as her horn sparks up, which brings the cyan blue rattle up into her hold. You blink to the comment and action as you speak up with a slight chuckle, "You're cheating." "Oh, don't be silly." Twilight cocks her head to you as she stealthily continues to slowly rattle the foal toy that has Aerolight’s attention locked in. You squint to her smile for a moment but you eventually turn your eyes to the colt as you speak up in your own baby like voice, "Come on Aerolight, you don't want to say mommy...You want to say da-da or da right?" The light rattling sound halts for a second as Twilight rolls her eyes and places her hoof to her chest as she tilts her head up, "Saying a proper name as a first word is very important because it can directly affect the way he learns growing up." Your eyes widen and your voice goes silent as you just stare to her confident posture, "Ok..." The serious face you have only holds for a moment as a new found smile comes to your face as you turn towards the colt, "Alright Aerolight, say daddy." Your comment flicks the lavender mare's ear but she doesn't say anything as you both hold your gaze to the colt's quivering lips. The exciting possibility of the little colt saying a word especially if it's to you takes your attention as you watch the colt. However no words come out as the little colt ends up opening his mouth wide with a loudish yawn that leaves the colt's foal button eyes half shut in a sleepy daze. Twilight stands from her seat as the rattle floats over towards the table, but from the quick motion the rattle ends up swaying towards the edge of the table. You stop it before it can fall as the mare's voice comes up, "Looks like somepony is ready for their late morning nap." You move the cyan colored rattle back to the table as you turn your gaze to the silently on looking light purple mare that has been sitting beside you. A faint chuckle comes up as you notice the mare's up right ears and intense stare, "What do you want to play with the rattle?" It's at this point you realize Violet's stare has been directed to the little colt and not the toy, but she still plays along with your dumb comment as she shakes her head with a smile. However her hooves don't stop as they roll out a question. You blink to the comment as you repeat it, "You want to try a spell on us?" Your words turn Twilight's head as she scoops the colt into her hold, "What spell is that sweetie?" Violet gets an excited smile as she shifts her gaze between you and Twilight with a quick two taps of her right hoof to her mouth. "A secret?" The light purple mare nods her head as she rolls her right hoof to her chest and then to you. Her motions bring a quick response from you as you notice the passion in the mare's light blue eyes, "Of course we'll love what you do...But what kind of spell is it?" Before Violet can answer the question Twilight's voice comes up as she starts her trot towards the stairs, "Well if it's something we should sit down for lets do it in our room...I would rather sit on the bed not a chair." Violet nods her head as she quickly stands up and trots after the mare, to her motions you bring your own hooves up as you trail behind the two mares up the stairs. The quick paced trot and Twilight's own head start has made short work of the stairs as you three start to turn into your room to lay Aerolight down for his nap. "Here you go...Lets get you your nap..." Twilight's trot starts to slow as she brings herself towards the crib as she begins to lower the colt in her hold too the foal's bed. No whimper or cry comes from the colt as another yawn comes from him, and to your surprise he doesn't fight being laid back down as Twilight brings the covers over the dark cream colored foal. You move yourself to the bed as you fold your front hooves over your lap and wait for Violet to explain her spell. Your own thoughts seem to be shared with Twilight as the lavender mare brings her voice to a slight whisper as she trots over next to where you sit, "So what's this spell sweetie? It's not too loud is it?" Violet wiggles her hoof to the comment as she shakes her head. The mare's confidence holds you and Twilight's confusion to what the young mare has in store for the both of you. However you don't really get a straight answer from the light purple mare as she starts her hooves up. "Close our eyes?" Twilight and you both blink to the request but you both straighten your posture as your eyes close. To you and Twilight's absent stare Violet takes on a more comfortable stance as she takes in a calm breath and starts her horn up while her own eyes closed she starts to focus on the sleep spell she has planned. The spell that she's practiced countless times before with Sparky runs through it's course as the light blueish magic begins to form a light aura around yours and Twilight's heads. Not knowing what's really going on brings a slight child like giddiness to you, but the warm feeling that you feel and the low soothing magical chime has brought your confusion to a new apex. However the clam light warmth over you and the low chime is cut short with a loudish pop of magic. The sound brings you and Twilight's eyes open as you swing your gazes towards the still sleeping colt and then to the mare in front of where you sit now rubbing her head. Twilight holds her hoof out as she speaks up, "What kind of a spell were you trying to do? I could help you through it." Violet quickly takes her hoof from her head as she shakes it no and brings her hooves up. I can do this...You blink to the comment as you think it over for a moment. Although your voice doesn't come up as Twilight's rings out in it's slight whisper, "I'm not saying you can't do it...But maybe you would just like a little help?" With a faint nod Violet starts her hooves up again as she explains the spell. "A dream spell?" Twilight's eyes widen for a moment as she cocks her head, "How did you learn a dream spell?" Violet hooves out her answer, which only takes a second for the now heavily intrigued mare, "Luna taught you it?" Twilight taps her hoof to her mouth as she starts to think to herself. The now paused mare brings your voice out as you hold your voice down to your approaching comment, "Violet...I don't think you'll be able to do that spell on me. Luna always said human minds were a little harder to get into ." The light purple mare blinks to your words for a moment but she shakes her head as she straightens her posture. "Well..." Twilight's hoof comes from her mouth as she continues to squint her eyes in thought, "Yes it's true the spell might be hard...But Violet might be able to use her own unique magic to break through.." A new found smile comes to the lavender mare's face as she continues with a slightly louder tone, "OH, I know, we could do a simple memory spell which would help Violet's dream get through your own body's magical field." You blink to the smiling mare beside you as you realize trying to understand with what Luna had said before has lead you to a conversation where you now are left unarmed...You keep your mouth shut as you just nod your head. To the simple nod Twilight turns back to light purple mare in front of her as she sits up a little more proper, "Alright Violet, go through your spell and i'll do a memory spell-..." She swings her hoof between you two as she continues, "Just remember something simple like yesterday or something..." You shrug to the comment as you nod, "Alright, cold and snowing." Twilight rolls her eyes to the comment as she sparks her horn up, "That's fine..." As her horn takes on a purple glow she closes her eyes. Violet copies the action as she sparks her own light blue magic up, to the two mare's closed eyes you slowly close your own as you think to yourself, alright...just remember tomorrow... A faint smile runs across your face as you hold the thought, well this should not be too hard, I've done the same thing pretty much for the last-.. End of chapter 1 > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2 (A Little under five years ago). Warm sheets make your body want to forget the new day's challenges. But you know this thought won’t last long as your alarm's constant and unrelenting chime continues to pound off of the walls and back to you. With nothing less than an annoying ear raping sound to your early morning mind. Eventually it's call, that beckons you to rise breaks you as you fling your arm to hit the snooze button, silently promising yourself that in a few minutes you will get up and start the day...And to maybe set the alarm a little early tomorrow. Lying in bed you start planning for what today has in store for you, and after about twenty minutes of frivolous mind planning you finally build enough energy to climb out of your bed, all the while making sure to give a loud moan as cold air hits your once cozy body. After a slight zombie shuffle to your clothes in the closet you throw a pair of jeans and a plain gray shirt over your shoulder. Not bothering to make your bed as you start to stumble down the hall towards the bathroom with a yawn. It only takes you a few minutes to rush through your mundane routine as you exit the bathroom fully dressed and fresh breathed to the kitchen, all the while saying to yourself, I don’t have to go to class...that’s the beauty of being in college. Searching your cabinet you find some maybe week old cereal which you combine with what's left of the day old bottle of milk you've horded away in your fridge. You stare at your concoction for a moment as you start to move towards a drawer to retrieve a spoon. With the fake silver spoon in hand you set the bowl on the simple kitchen counter of the kitchen as you start to eat it. After your breakfast you grab your backpack that's still sitting up against the wall where you flung it yesterday, one quick motion later your still sleepy eyed gaze sets towards the door as you leave the apartment for school. - - - (Meanwhile in Equestria) Twilight calls out from the bottom of the library as she starts to tap her hoof to the hard wood floor impatiently, “Spike!...Spike! I need Starswirl the Bearded’s book on teleporting not Starswirl the Bearded's book on telekinesis!” The mare's demand rings through the house as the purple and green scaled little dragon appears on the stairs. Spike struggles down the stairs of the library as he carries the book that seems to be about two times the size of him. As the last slightly more spaced out step comes under him, his claw misjudges it's aim as he ends up falling with the book and hits the ground with a large thump. “Spike...This is a priceless antique you need to be more careful with this.” Twilight's purple magic wraps itself around the book as it levitates from Spike's grasp and places it on the wooden podium that stands in front to Twilight's side. Spike rubs his head with a sigh as he stands and replies, “Sorry Twilight, but next time we take books from Canterlot's archives could we only take one?" The comment brings a quick and know it all response from the mare as her magic continues to flip the pages of the book, "Don't say take Spike..." Her hoof wiggles to her friend as she continues, "It makes it sound like we're not allowed in the Canterlot archives." Spike rolls his eyes to the comment as he speaks up, "Why do we need all these books anyways?" The lavender mare turns her head back to the books as her voice holds to the question, “The Princess has tasked me in helping to keep the peace in all of Equestria. I need to find a spell that can be used to teleport us anywhere in Equestria, in case the Elements of Harmony are ever needed.” “Ya I know that I was there when she told you, but don't you think Celestia and Luna can take care of it on their own?” Spike's voice starts to fade as he looks over the book still being manipulated by the purple glow. Twilight turns her head a little suprised to the comment as she speaks up, “It’s not just the Princesses job to keep the peace, it’s every ponies responsibility and I for one will not let them down; all I need to do is master a spell that can teleport us.” Spike rolls his eyes to the words as he crosses his arms, “Alright...Twilight but promise me that you won't rush these spells, no pony has tried these spells in like centuries.” “Oh Spike you don’t really think I would rush a spell do you?” A faint giggle comes from her as her voice comes to an end. “Um for the Princess… yes I think you would.” Twilight gives another casual laugh as she rubs Spikes head with her hoof , “Don’t worry I know my limits and I know how to use magic. Now lets find a spell!" Twilight studies the book for a few moments as she flips through it's pages. "Oh come on Twilight there probably isn't even a spell in this..." "Found one!" Twilight reads the spell a loud as the smile to her face starts to grow, "See this will be easy." Twilight's horn begins to glow and a purple aura begins to slowly creep down her coat as she straightens her pose, "See Spike...I think i'll just pop over to Rarity's as a test." Spike give an annoyed sigh as he moves to look over the book, “Umm Twilight did you even read the spell? I don’t think this is something to start on.” The comment goes unnoticed to the lavender mare as the magic forms around her with a bright almost uncontrolled glow. Before Spike can speak up again the mare's figure has vanished from sight in a purpley explosion of swirling magic.. “Twilight? Twilight?!” Spike's quick shouts fall on the empty library as he quickly turns himself around. End of chapter 2 > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 3 (Hours later) After a long and tedious day of tests, projects and pop quizzes that have almost no relevance to your major and that you were unable to study for, the small apartment that you called home looks like heaven. Today ended up being a shorter day than you expected, seeing as how your last class was canceled; and as you near your oasis from the world you begin to fiddle with your keys in your pocket anxiously wanting to open the door and forget today's most likely failed surprises. However as you near the door a strong and strange feeling freezes you, the feeling that bubbles up from the back of your mind and the bottoms of your stomach all scream to you that something is wrong. You shake your head for a second just trying to break the feeling, but you slowly move to the side of the door as you peer inside through the adjacent window. It's then that you notice your living room from what you can see, has been ransacked and you can faintly hear what sounds like a muffled voice from behind the door. You back away from the door as you start to feel your heart and mind race with adrenalin and questions as you try to feel for your phone in your pocket. You know it's pointless since you left your phone in your backpack, which now you only relize that you've mindlessly left in your biology class. In the split second the first thought of fear comes to mind as you remember the recent crime spike in your area; the next thought is how to arm yourself... You quickly look around unable to find anything but a doormat and some leaves that have fallen off a nearby tree, you're no Macgyver so the leaves and doormat won't be a grenade. After a few minutes of searching you convince yourself that the time spent playing Mortal Combat and watching Chuck Norris movies has made you prepared for a moment like this. With a foolish sense of inevitability, mixed with your own adrenalin and drive to always take action you build enough courage to turn the key charge into your house, ready to face any threat. However your Chuck Norris thoughts and your adrenaline filled body comes to a complete stop when your eyes meet a short lavender colored...pony? Better yet lavender colored unicorn standing in your living room?! Your mind swims with no way to grasp what you’re looking at as you mindlessly blink to it with your arms still raised. But the split second confusion doesn't last long as the pony lets out a high pitched yelp and a burst of what looks like a purple air is rushed to you. The rush of...air, sends you falling over to the ground, knocking your head into the hard unforgiving floor. Your eyes darken as the world around you becomes smeared in color. - - - (Back to the future) The shock of the realistic kock to your head sends your body jerking out of Violet's magical hold as you shiver a little with a sick to your stomach feel to the emotions and scene that are both real...and alien to you. Twilight's voice comes up as your panting voice races beside her, "Are you alright?" Her words turn Violet's glowing horn dormant as she cocks her head to you. You blink to the mare beside you for a moment with a blanked mind as to who she is, but the strange feeling only last a moment as he shake your head and speak up, "Y-ya...ya i'm fine." Slowly you regain your breathing. To the now quieter room Twilight shifts her eyes back to the colt still asleep in the crib, however despite what she looks at her voice comes up in an excited glee as she snaps back to the light purple mare in front of her, "Violet, your dream spell and my memory spell was able to break through further than my spell ever did!" You ignore her words for a moment as you turn your eyes to your hoof that you've brought up to your face. However your studying of your body runs short as Twilight's excited and happy smile turns to you, "We never got my spell to take you back that far...D-do you know when that was?" The realistic feelings you just stirred yourself from keep you from talking as you just shake your head. Your answer no does not shake the mare as she moves her hoof to your raised hoof, "That was when we first met..." You stare to the mare's soft purple eyes for a moment as you swallow hard and crack a slight smile that the warmth of her hoof has brought, "I-it was huh?" She nods her head as the smile holds, "...How could I forget it?" A faint giggle comes up from her as she continues, "It's not every day that somepony is teleported like that!" The new smile holds to you as you nod, "Ya..." Twilight turns back to the young mare in front of you two as she speaks up, "It's only been about five minutes...Lets see if we can go back to that memory-.." Her voice halts as she sets her back up a little more proper, "I-it would definitely help your spell." Violet gets a wide smile to the comment as she nods her head and sparks her horn back up. The sound of hers and Twilight's magic fades your smile but you don't speak up as you just look over Twilight's excited smile. Reluctantly you close your eyes as you just wait for the spell to come over you. - - - (A little under five years ago). The ringing in your ears has slowly brought you to open your eyes as you groan a little. It's been a few hours since you came home and the room has taken on a darker sun setting color, except for the kitchen lights that you didn't turn off this morning. The lavender pony now stands over, and to your slowly opening eyes a voice comes up, “Sorry sorry sorry” The purple pony's frantic voice holds your attention as she continues on, “I-I didn't mean to do that, it’s just seeing a tall figure run into the room startled me…A-are you ok?” The feminine voice coming from the pony's mouth leaves you baffled as you just look up dumbfounded at the fact of a talking horse! You continue to just stare as she trails on. “You hit your head pretty hard are you ok? Can you even speak?” The comment springs your arm into action as you move your hand to the back of your head, the moment you do you start to feel warm and your hearing starts to fade in and out, there's not a doubt that you can feel a bruise starting to already form where your head hit the floor. “My name is Twilight sparkle, i'm from Ponyville, and you are?” The pony slowly moves it's head from your staring gaze as it's feminine voice rings out. You find it funny how this talking...thing, is so interested in who you are, instead of the fact you just fell and hit the hard floor. But you manage to sit up straight and you kind of mumble your name. The pony moves to where you now face as the big eyed animal stares to you with a very puzzled look, “That’s a strange name…Tell me what part of Equestria is this? You stare at the pony not knowing what to make of the word Equestria. After a few silent moments you again mumble out, "W-what's E-questreah?" "What do you mean what's Equestria?" The feminine voice takes on a slightly rushed almost sarcastic tone as the pony tilts her head up. Again you repeat your sentence as you look over the thing in front of you, "I don't know...what your talking about.." “I …A-are you sure you don’t know what I’m talking about?” The pony's wide purple eyes comes back to yours as they study you. You nod your head to the stare, which sends waves of pain through your head, note to self FFFUUUCCCKKK! The nod sends the pony into a quick trotting pace in front of where you stand as she starts to pace back and forth in what you guess would be an attempt at thinking out loud, “H-how could a spell do that? No no, don't be silly Twilight...Why would a spell do that! A-a spell can only do what the user wants...Ya it can't do anything different...ya ya...” You start to sense the building of what seems like sadness in her voice as she continues to talk, however this time the pony stops in front of you as she pins her eyes towards the ground, “Um I-I know you don’t know who I am...But I promise you that Princess Celestia will repay you for helping me.. I am, too tired to try my spell again…could I stay here…j-just for the night?” The pony's head turns back to yours as her uneasy voice continues, "I promise you Princess Celestia will be greatly appreciative." The tone of her voice and your own pained unclear mind sends you to nod your head, not really knowing what you just agreed to. Truthfully you just want the pony to stop talking so you can have a quiet moment to think about how crazy you are for thinking you're seeing a talking horse in your house. "T-thank you...Where do I sleep?" The comment goes unanswered from you as you slowly stand up with your eyes focused on the hallway towards your room. No more words come up from behind you as you start to stumble towards the hall, but despite the silence you don't look back. You hold your head to the pulsing bump on your head as you think to yourself, It’s just a hallucination there is no purple pony in your house. You stagger to your bed and collapse into it, quickly falling into an unsafe and pain driven sleep. End of chapter 3 > Chapter 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4 You awake to the shining of the bright sun through your window, however the fact that you've not been woken up by the alarm brings a thought to your mind, wow the sun rose early today. With a slow turn you look to the silent clock, your alarm clock the time reads 10:00 Am. Your eyes widen a little as you sigh and push your head a little to the pillow a little more, oh great I overslept... With the thought in mind you start to roll out of your bed, which sends an unwanted and intense shot of pain from the back of your head. You clench your teeth hard as the memories, along with the subsiding twinge of pain flood in what happened last night. The thoughts now in your mind, have the same affect on you as if a bucket of cool water was just thrown over you, you jump to your feet still holding your head and begin to stagger towards the door of your bedroom. As you reach the door that you never closed from last night you peer into the part of the living room that you can see...It’s clean and nothing is broken, you breathe a sigh of relief knowing that last night the house was a wreck and there was some lavender colored pony in your house. As of right now, you're thought of last night being a hallucination are correct, no mess and no pony. You walk down the hall towards the kitchen still holding your new found reassurance. Although, in the back of your mind you still try to understand the crazy hallucination from last night. As you near the turn of the hall you hear a faint whimper or perhaps a light snoring, the noise freezes you as you turn your head towards the couch that sits in front of the turned off flat screen tv. Still holding your denial, you walk over towards the couch...Your heart sinks as you look over and see it…The lavender colored pony sleeping on your couch. You think to yourself as all of your ability to deny what you're seeing runs from your mind, well atleast I have a reason to stay home today, but I doubt my professors will take this as a real excuse and if they do take it as a real excuse, they would probably think i'm crazy. At the thought of being insane you quickly chase the thought off. You continue to just stare at the colored pony in silence, unsure if you should wake her or not. After a few minutes of feeling like a creeper you decide to do something that involves not waking her, but also makes you feel like you did something. With the new thought in mind you walk back to the kitchen and open the fridge, it only takes you a moment to pull out some apples and some carrots. Really not sure as to what a talking pony eats, but you're all out of pixie dust and guess this would work. A faint laugh comes to your self as you look to the things in your hold...I lost my mind didn't I? You grab a plate from the kitchen table as you walk back to the couch and quietly place the fruit on the table in front of her. (Later in the day) It’s about 2:30 now, and you have done nothing productive all day, no school work and no video games, your mind has halted anything other than trying to cope with fighting off the pain from your fall yesterday and trying to understand why there is a unicorn pony in the other room. The deep thought in your mind are abruptly broken by the sound of hooves getting closer to your door. Not knowing what to expect you tense your body up as a purple aura wraps around the doorknob as it opens revealing the lavender pony in the doorway. For a second there's nothing exchanged but a silent stare, but it only lasts for a second as the feminine voice comes up, "I wanted to thank you before I leave.” You nod your head. The simple nod brings her own head to nod as she shifts a little uneasy, “Well thank you, I feel well rested and I am going to go back to Equestria.” Your curiosity takes control of you as your voice comes out, "How are you going to go back?" As your voice ends a thought runs through your head, I've officially given into insanity. She looks you over as her well spoken and slightly know it all sounding voice chimes up, "Well I am a unicorn, so I will be using a spell to bring me home. From what I can tell I must be close to Equestria, Celestia's sun rose on time and the food seemed to tase at least close to the same." You nod your head "Ok". The simple response you keep giving slowly brings out a more shy persona as she clears her throat, "Yes well thank you for your help." As her comment ends the pony turns from the doorway as she walks away and back to the living room out of sight your sight. You stare at the door trying to just push the thought of talking to a horse out of your mind...But Your curiosity gets the better of you as you think the conversation over, it’s not every day that you meet a talking unicorn. With the thought in mind you stand from the bed and start to walk into the hall, however you stop at the opening to the living room and decide just to observe her from the corner. Twilight doesn't notice you though as she sparks her horn up in a light purple glow. The mare's eyes and a few deep breaths start to run from her as a purple aura starts to trickle down from the glowing horn. The magic begins to wrap around her and her figure begins to fade from your sight. Looking at this you can’t stop hearing the sound of the TARDIS from doctor who, which brings a slight smile to your face as you just watch the strange alien sight in your living room. The ringing of the 'magic' runs around the room for a moment, and as it reaches its apex there’s a slight poof sound as the light fades. You’re amazed at what you just saw, your jaw hangs in awe as you just stare to the now empty carpet. However, just a minute later you hear a strange noise, a sound that's almost similar to lightning hitting metal poles. The organic sound continues to ring around the room as a purple bubble forms in the center of the living room. Quickly you duck behind the corner of the hall to get out of the way of any rogue magic that might knock you down like last night. The bubble pops with a huge gust of wind that moves or knocks over most everything in your house. Lying on the ground is Twilight, her coat has a dark film to it and it looks as if she's shaking, almost like she's cold or something. As the purple wisp around the room starts to drop to the floor you rush over to where the mare lays to see if the pony is still alive. Her eyes are half closed a faint pant rolls from her open mouth as her low words ring out, “I…I don’t understand I did what I did before…” You clench your hands not knowing what to do for the moment as a battle in your mind starts to rage, you can't call a vet to come and see a unicorn...Especially seeing as how you're still not even sure if this is real or not...However the big eyed and helpless mare you stand over brings a strange feeling to you. Without another thought you bend yourself down as you work your arms slowly and gently around her frame, she continues to speak very softly but you ignore it as you carry the pony to your room and lay her down in your bed. As you take your hands from the mare's body her eyes lock to where you stand at the bed, "T-thank you...I just need to rest for a moment." You give little nod as you start to move out of the room, before you leave you give a little glance to the clock, 3:02. As you walk out of the room you close the door and turn your attention back to the room around you. With a sigh you start to pick up the things around the house, not really putting the stuff back where it was but more or less just kind of placing it off to the side. - - - (later on) It took you about most of the day to really get everything cleaned up, eat, take something for your head and do your normal things around the house. And seeing as how you decided to stay home today you figured it would be a good idea to study one of the oh so important text books you were told to get for college. However an hour of trying to study with what you've had happen to you turns up no results and it's left you just feeling light headed. You finally give into the fact that the medicine you took wasn't going to really do anything if you're trying to cram for a test. You run your hands over your head as you slowly rub your forehead. With a sigh you turn your head to the quiet hallway as you wait to see if the sound of hooves or something will start up. It doesn't. You stand from the couch as you quietly walk back to the hallway and then towards the closed door. Using the ninja like qualities you think you have you press your ear to the door. However you get no reward for this and you eventually just give up as you turn back towards the other room, truthfully you want to get your bed back tonight...But you have no idea what magic does to a...pony, so maybe a good night sleep in a bed would be a good idea. A faint sigh comes to you as you turn back to the couch that will act as your bed tonight. End of chapter 4 > Chapter 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 5 You awake from a restless night of sleeping on the couch, besides from the couch being too small for you to actually sleep on the position you had your head in did not help the bruising that is still painful on your head. You turn your eyes to the clock in the room as you notice you've actually gotten up before even your alarm clock would wake you up. At first you’re mad at actually waking up before you need to, but you get over it pretty quick as you bring your head up to your forehead and just rub. A faint sigh comes up from you as you stand from the couch and direct your walk to your room, mainly just to see if the pony is still there...and also to check to see if Twilight is still ok. To your surprise she's already up, and the door opening takes her attention as she speaks up, “I'm sorry I have to stay here again..." You kind of just nod not really knowing what to say as she continues to trail on, “I need to know where I am, that way I can better understand how I can draw my magic. Tell me are we on an island away from Equestria?” You study the word Equestria for a minute as you stutter out your response, "I-I've never heard that name before you said it..." A faint laugh comes up from the slightly straggly maned mare as she shakes her head, “Surely you've heard of it? Celestia...Luna the rulers of Equestria??” You hear a sense of urgency in her voice so you do what you always do when you don’t know an answer; you grab your laptop and move to sit on the edge of the bed, well away from where she's sitting as you start searching up the word Equestria. Your absent voice and the sound of your fingers clicking the keys flicks her ear as she slowly pokes her head towards the glowing screen. The search for you is over as the no results page comes up, you turn the screen to where she sits as you wait for a response. However she just studies the screen in a confused wide eyed stare as she speaks up, “What is this? A book of some kind?” You shrug "Sure lets go with that." You never really realized how hard it would be to explain the internet to someone so you sum it up the best you can as you tap the back of the flipped up screen, "It's everything you want to know, in one spot." The mare's tone changes as she takes on a slightly more upright posture, “Whoa, if I had one of these Internets in Ponyville I would never lose a book...Not that I ever have but this would make them a lot faster to find. How does it work?” You smile at how intrigued an alien is over a laptop...You lay the laptop in front of her and begin showing her how to search things. The change in her voice has held and the slight sad and shy tone has been shed...For the most part as Twilight speaks up, “So anything I write in this box will bring up that book?” You shrug in agreement, as you mindlessly look around the room. However your eyes catch the clock as you notice it's getting close to the time you would start getting ready for school. "I need to get going..." You turn back to the pony sitting on the bed as you speak up, "I uh...I need to go to school and-..." Your voice is halted as the mare's ears perk up and her voice comes out, “You’re a student too?" A simple smile comes to your face as you nod your head. However your comment has seemed to open up the floodgate of stories as the pony starts to speak up, "I'm Princess Celestia's-..." Her excited words come to a halt as she stops herself, "I...I mean i'm just a pony from Ponyville." You blink to the sudden change in her voice but you don't pay it much mind as you speak up with the name the pony has used before, "Twilight, I need you to do something while i'm gone." The mare's ears stay up to your voice as you trail on, "Don't leave the house, and you can't open the doors or windows ok?" Your words turn a questioning eye to the mare but you're able to finish your comment before she can speak up, "Unicorns are not really found around here." Twilight nods her head to the comment as she speaks up, "O-ok." To her words you turn towards the door, however you don't leave the room as her voice comes back up, "Wait..." You turn to the mare as she tries to push through her awkward sounding question, "Am I allowed to use your bath?" The comment brings a slight bit of confusion to you as you look over the pony...But you nod your head as you speak up, "Y-ya...and help yourself to something to eat." With another nod from the mare you turn back to the hallway now second guessing whether or not she'll actually know what a fridge is. The thought only holds to you until you reach the front, and as you open the door you take a deep breath as you try to just put on a normal non alien harboring persona. (After School) The things you've done today have allowed you to bury thoughts about the alien that's living in your house...But it's also got you thinking. Honestly, you have no idea what you’re paying for anymore, this thought runs through your head as you exit the bus and start your short trip to your house. You start thinking about the money you are wasting in college with stupid classes that you honestly don’t see helping you towards your major. As you near your house you again as always can’t wait to get to your safe haven and block out the stupidity of your daily school life. However just before you turn your key to your door you remember what waits for you. The sound of the door closing rings to the house for a moment as you just scan the room, the windows are still all shut and theres no men in black suits trying to take you away...So it's safe to say that the talking pony in your house didn't leave or get seen. The sound of the door also brings another thing to the house as you hear the sound of hooves clapping to the floor. You pause for the moment as you watch the now brighter lavender mare trotting over to you, her two tone purple mane still looks a little uncombed but you don't really pay attention to that as you notice her horn glowing and your laptop and a piece of paper floating above the ground beside her. "I hope this was ok..." Her voice comes to your ears as the piece of paper floats over to where you stand in the doorway. You look over the paper in your hand as you realize it looks to be an assignment for school, "Where did you get this?" "You got a letter on the magic book saying it was the work you missed...It's the least I could do after you let some strange pony that you don’t even know stay in your house, eat your food and use your magic book.” Twilight's ear flops down a little as she continues, "A-and it was rather interesting to see how this island learns." You nod and give a friendly smile and also make a mental note to buy more apples and other such things like that. “You have been a very gracious host, but I think its time to go I don’t want my friends worrying about me anymore. Thanks to your magic book I think I found a way to extract the magic from this land.” The laptop next to her floats to your hold as she starts to turn away, you glance over the screen for a moment but you're just kind of stunned how many pages there are. However you turn your eyes back to the pony as you speak up, "Um...That spell thing. Are you sure you can do it? I mean, how do you know it will work?" “I won’t know if it works untill I try it, and I can’t wait to long its imperative I get back home as soon as possible, if I’m not there the Elements of Harmony can’t be used. Without the element Equestria could fall into darkness.” You blink to the comment as you start to walk over towards the kitchen table to set the lap top down, "Helemnts of aramory?" Your mispronunciation brings a quick response from the pony as she shakes her head and turns more to face you, "No, the Element's of Harmony." Again you just stare to her not knowing what the word means. Twilight looks you over for a moment before she explains, "I guess I should tell you who I am..." She clears her throat as she straightens her posture, "I am Twilight Sparkle, the prized student of Princess Celestia." You give a simple nod as you lean to the table and listen. "...The Elements of Harmony are items of great power, their magic can even change the way a pony acts or thinks." A smile begins to cross over the mare's face as she continues, "In our land magic is thoughts and emotions and it affects everypony and everything especially feelings." She halts her voice for a moment as she looks around, "From what I was able to find out about this land the magic here doesn't seem to be generated like ours." Her hoof comes up to her mouth as she taps it for a moment and begins to think out loud, you still listen to her but the sight of an animal doing such a human like action leaves you a little uneasy, "I'm guessing I must have teleported somewhere off the coast of the Griffin empire." As her comment ends the room goes silent for a moment as she just lightly taps her hoof to her mouth, however her silence doesn't last long as she nods her head, "Yes, well I should get going." Before you can even nod your head the pony turns her trot back to the open space in the living room. “Ok here I go….” As her comment ends her eyes close and her horn sparks up in a bright purple glow. Like before a purple aura surrounds and wraps around Twilight as she begins to fade in and out with the building magic around her figure. With a poof chiming like sound as she disappears. You stare to the spot for a few minutes in silence, just hoping the spell works for Twilight's sake. You end up waiting about five minutes still standing in pretty much the same spot until you finally start thinking she made it back home safe…But just as the lighter toned thought rolls in, you remember how weak she was the last time she tried her spell, your mind is now swirling with thoughts of the talking pony being hurt somewhere by herself. A hard sigh comes from you as you realize tonight is going to be a sleepless night of worrying about some talking thing, that you barely even know. You don’t really even know why you care, most likely it’s the big purple eyes that look so innocent or maybe it’s her inquisitive spirit... Just as you start to push the thought out of your mind you hear the sound of the magic again. The sound like lightning, you know that her spell failed again you just hope she's not too hurt. The purple ball like object of magic that you saw yesterday appears in the middle of the room again like yesterday, the ball of magic eventually pops with the same effects. Twilight reappears as the burst of purple and white swirls of light begins to fade. You can see that she is standing and does not seem to be as weak as yesterday, but from how she hangs her head you know she's anything but ok. “I couldn't do it…The magic in this area is just so different...I-it's like i'm not even in the same world.” She studies the ground not wanting to look up. Despite the fact you already have assumed she was not of this world you keep your mouth shut not wanting to truly upset. Her tone holds almost a sad whisper as she trails on, “In my land o-or world whatever it’s called here, love and tolerance generates magic… but in this place, there is not enough love and tolerance to generate the magic I need to teleport. I can’t even send a letter home to tell anyone I’m ok…I already tried but the letter just burst into flames.” You can’t imagine how she must feel and you just stand there silent as she continues to just stare to the ground. “I-...I think i'm going to lay down for a minute." As her comment ends she starts her trot towards the hall, all the while never raising her head. Despite her obvious emotions she keeps her composure as she moves from your sight, you trail your eyes after her for the moment as you watch her enter into your room and close the door behind her. You hold your head to the door for a moment as you quietly walk over to it, however you don't even get halfway down the hall before you hear what sounds like a light sob being muffled from behind the door. The sound completely empties your mind about asking for your own bed back tonight as you turn your own head to the floor and walk back into the other room. However as your eyes move to the laptop still sitting on the kitchen table as you bring a thought into your mind. With a few quick motions you take the laptop into your hold and then turn back to the door of your room. You clear your throat for a moment as you speak knock to the closed door, "Um...Hello?" The light sobbing from behind the door stops to the sound of someone outside of it as Twilight's slightly shaky voice calls back, "Y-yes?" You adjust your hold as you speak up, "I was just thinking...Maybe that magic stuff could be gained from a little studying." No answer comes up from behind the door and you now start to think over whether or not your previous thought was dumb or not, but you hold strong to the idea as you bring your voice back up, "...You said magic was thought right? Well maybe if you learn something about where you are it would help?" You stand in the hall for another few good moments before you hear the sound of hooves coming closer towards the other side of the door. - - - (Present) The sight of the door opening fades from your spell induced mind as the light start up of Aerolight’s cry breaks through the spell. With a faint pop the room around you comes back into view, and as it does you like Twilight both turn your heads towards the crib. However before you can stand from the bed Twilight has already gotten to her hooves as she trots over towards the now stirring colt, "Does somepony need a diaper-..." Her baby like tone changes as she hangs her head over the crib, "Oh...I think so." You watch quietly as Twilight scoops the small colt into her hold, as she adjust her hold she turns back to you and Violet as she speaks up, "I'll be right back." Again you don't bring your voice up, but you give a simple nod as she turns out of the room. To the absent lavender mare you shift your eyes to where Violet stands, as you do this you notice her wondering eyes skeptically rolling over you. A faint smile starts to creep over your face as you push the realistic feelings that the spell brought up out of your mind, "What?" Violet tightens her stare of you as she takes her head back and brings her hooves up. The sight of the light purple mare's hooves holds your smile as you start to poke a little fun at the comment, "I looked different huh?" A light and forced laugh runs from you as you turn your gaze to your hoof. However you don't hold your stare to the fur covered hoof for long as you notice from the corner of your eye Violet's hooves starting back up with another question. "What? No no, i'm fine." You hold your smile as you roll your hoof to her, "At least we know your dad has always looked good huh?" Violet rolls her eyes to you as you give a simple much needed laugh. You hold the lighthearted moment for a moment as the tap tap sound of claws starts to chime in from the door. The noise turns your head as you and Violet stare to the light purple dragon lazily rubbing at his closed right eye, with a faint yawn his voice rings out still holding it's lazy and most likely sleepy tone, "What are you guys doing?" Before you can answer the sound of Twilight's voice comes up as she trots in behind Spike into the room, "Oh Spike you're awake, could you watch Aerolight for a few minutes?" The little dragon takes his claw from his face as he blinks to the question, "Um...Ya sure, what's up?" Twilight turns her trot towards the crib as she lowers the colt down to it, "We found a spell that was able to break through a magic barrier." Spike turns his head to you as Twilight's voice continues to ring out, "...And we're almost done." "Almost done?" You give a light laugh as you speak up, "Twilight you said that was when we first meet? How are we almost done?" Twilight turns from the crib with a simple smile as her know it all voice comes out, "Well yes, but it's a shared memory, so once we break the shared memory we'll be done. And..." Her ears flop down a little as she continues, "...It's bringing back a lot of nice feelings going back through it." You don't hold the same smile she has as you just watch her trot coming back to her spot on the bed. The only feelings you've gotten out of this endeavor so far have left you feeling a little uneasy, and the fact that you can't even remember what happens next in your own memories has set a strange bit of fear in the back of your mind. However in your silent thinking Twilight has taken her spot next to you on the bed as she turns her gaze back the light purple mare in front of her, "Violet...Do you want to continue the spell?" The light purple mare gets a wide and proud smile as she nods her head. Unlike you, the spell so far has brought an unexpected adventure for the young mare and her own curiosity to who her parents were before, it has held her attention and added in a certain kind of joy. "Alright..." Twilight straightens her posture as she sparks her horn up, "Start your spell when you're ready." To the sound of Twilight's horn and Violet's own smile you take a deep breath as you just close your eyes and wait. End chapter 5 > Chapter 6 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 6 It’s been about three weeks since Twilight first arrived into your life; and over the weeks you have grown to understand a little more of the life she has been forced to leave. She still tries her spell every week and each time her teleporting last longer and longer. The reason Twilight thinks is because of how you have grown to tolerate having a pony living with you. You have no idea what she talks about when she starts to tell you stories about her life and her friends, but you would never let her know that. The stories she tells brings a smile to her face, which for some reason always brings a strange joy to you. However the real reason you've started to sit yourself down and listen to her stories is because of what's been happening at night, the usually bright eyed and questioning pony has started to lightly cry in her sleep. You're still unsure if it's intentional or if it's just when she's sleeping, but the sad and heavily emotional tone of it has always stopped you from approaching her when you hear it. Being a good listener is not the only thing that's changed though, you now, no longer hate going to school and getting dumb projects or writing assignments. Every time you have a take home assignment Twilight always ends up doing it, not because you ask her but because she always ends up taking it from you. Truthfully you're not going to complain though. One thing you have learned about Twilight is that she enjoys trying and learning different things. You’re astonished as to how a pony with no prior knowledge of the world she currently resides in is able to learn so fast. And Since she started helping with your studies you have been making better grades too. You just wish she didn't make so many flash cards. Your daydreaming is cut short by the sound of Twilight’s hooves getting closer. “You’re up early?” She’s right you have been getting up earlier lately, in truth it’s kind of hard to sleep hearing hooves hitting the wood floor in the morning. You push the thought aside as you give a little chuckle. Twilight mindlessly turns her head around the house as she speaks back up, “What do you have planned today, anything important?” You shake your head as you answer, "Nope." “So nothing you need help with...no test or writing assignment? I've been studying this really interesting stallion called Da Vinci, he reminds me of Star Swirl the Bearded, tell me is there any way I could meet this Da Vinci?” A faint laugh comes up from the comment as you think over her words; however your laugh just cocks her head as she waits for a response. You look down to her as you nod your head, "I'll explain that when I get home." Twilight blinks to the comment as she brings her hoof up towards the clock on the wall, "But it's so early?" You still find it weird how she can use her hooves as arms, but like talking to a lavender colored talking pony you've gotten use to strange things. "I have a few early classes, also a few late night classes so i'll be home later tonight..." You pause as you shift a little, "You're going to be alright...Right?" She smiles at the question, “Ha i'll be fine, I have only gotten up to the Renaissance era of your human history, I still have a long ways to go.” You are starting to regret showing her how to use the computer, mainly because now she asks you questions about things you really don’t know the answer to. However you just smile to her comment as you grab your bag and head towards the door. You stop before you open the door as you turn back to the lavender mare now watching you, "Oh and Twilight, stop checking my emails." A simple nod comes from the mare as you slowly open the door and take a step out. Before you take your first steps out into the world you lock the door, you've explained to Twilight as to why she shouldn't go outside. Sure she may not understand it, but she trust you, however you still lock the door. Not for her, but just in case a friend stops by, at least this way they can't just walk in. You take deep breath for a moment as you turn towards the sidewalk adjacent to the mostly quiet street in front of you. (Later in the day) It’s about 8:30pm, the house is mostly dark except for the glow of the laptop that sits next to the lavender mare that has found a comfortable spot on the couch. A few sheets of paper lay around the near by table and on the floor, most of the stuff Twilight writes down is meaningless and serves almost no purpose, but a few things are of something she found interesting. The quiet house however, doesn't hold for long though as the light sound of the handle on the door jiggling. Twilight's ear flicks to the sound for a moment as she pokes her head above the couch's back. She expected you home late tonight, but the sound of the handle still comes as a surprise. She calls out playfully expecting a response from you, “Did you forget your keys!?” The jiggling at the door stops for a moment as a shadowy figure appears in the window adjacent to the door. The light from the outside lights though does not reveal the figure as Twilight just squints to it. The jiggle of the door becomes a little more fierce and the sound of wood breaking starts to run from the doorway as Twilight again calls out, “Hello?” Without another moment the door flings open and the shadowy figure walks in. It's still hard to tell who it is because the hall light is off but even Twilight can tell the taller figure isn't you. She freezes in fear as the light to the hall flicks on, in the doorway stands a taller slightly larger man wearing dark blue jeans and a heavy black hoodie and a large sack like bag in his right hand. The now more illuminated house brings Twilight into view as the man's dark brown eyes latch to her. For a moment there's no motion, no words and almost no breathing. But Twilight's voice starts up as she sparks her horn up and calls out, "Who are you?!" The sound of her voice is not too intimidating also her stance that she's taken up on the cushioned couch has left her wobbly, and the child like purple light that streams from the mare's horn has little effect on the burley mans hard face, the fact of a talking pony brings the man's voice up though as he just stares to the colorful animal, "Ello...What we got here?" The man’s strange and heavy Australian accent holds as he drops the sack and takes a few steps forward, "Are you a talk'n...A talk'n animal?" Twilight's horn holds, but her spell doesn't come out as the man shakes his head with a laugh, "I must have been drink'n the good stuff..." He continues to shake his head as he gets closer, "Come here beauty I think I just struck gold..." The man snatches his large hand for Twilight, but she jerks her head back and he's only able to grab at her mane. A high pitched squeal runs from her as the man's hand tightens and he tries to pull her over the couch by nothing but her mane, "Stop squirm‘n!" Twilight manages to break free after a few moments of struggling, but no spell comes from the confused and fear filled mare as she just darts away as fast as she can, the man follows close behind her though as she runs towards the dead end hall... (Meanwhile outside) As you continue your walk you have no idea of the events unfolding in your house. You casually spin your key ring around your finger as you just blow your breath out, however you turn your head from the dark sky as the small apartment comes into view. However it's at this point you notice the light pouring out from the ajar door. The sight of the door sends your legs into motion as you scream your voice towards the house, "Twilight?!" Your legs quickly bring you to almost sliding into the door as you abruptly halt your emotion driven run to the sight of a dark figure climbing out of an open window at the end of the room. Your first thought is to chase after the figure, but your quick gaze of the room yields no sight of the lavender mare anywhere in the room. You break into a panicked search calling her name as you run more into the center of the room. No answer comes in the form of words though as you hear a slight crying sound coming from your room. As you near the door you notice a faint purple like aura to it, but you place your hand to the handle and open it without a problem. Your eyes latch to the lavender mare sitting on the floor of the bed; her two toned purple mane is ruffled and you can see spots of red on her head from what looks like pulled out mane. Her eyes are big and reddened as they turn to look up at you. The sight of Twilight's usually light purple eyes now filled with tears and the visible blood brings a quick response from you as you rush to her and gently just caress her back. Your hand to her coat sends her muscles to tighten but you ignore it as you speak up, "Are you alright?" Obviously she’s not, it’s just a human response you can’t break free of. Her reply is stressed and heavy through her sobbing as she shakes her head, “T-that man just walked in… a-and I didn't know what to do…” "I'm sorry...I, I should have been home earlier." You hold your voice to a low as you continue to just rub her back. However your attempts at calming her down doesn't work as her voice comes up with a new building emotion to her voice, "H-How can somepony like that live in this world! H-how can anypony live in this world!” You don’t know how to answer her so you just mindlessly run your fingers through her coat as you shake your head. “W-with people like that here no wonder I can’t get the magic I need to go home…” Her body trembles as her cry gets a little louder, “I’m-*sob*I'm never going to go home… I’m never going to leave this world! I'm *sob* never going to see anypony again..." Her red puffy eyes plea to yours and bring a strange deep sorrow to your mind as you swallow hard and speak up, "I promise, I will never let anything like this ever happen again...Now please stop crying." “I…*sob* don’t think I can..” You bring her a little closer to you as you hold your eyes to hers without even blinking as you speak up, "I'm sorry, I should have been here. But I promise, I won't let anything bad happen again." Her watery eyes move to their own accord as she quivers her lips, “How…how can you promise that?” Without a response and with a strange impulse you can't explain you bring your lips close to hers as you plant a short kiss to her. You don't know why you did it, maybe you just want her to stop crying or maybe it’s because you've started to somehow grow fond of her over the last few weeks. You break the kiss as you just stare to each other, however her eyes start to glow white and her horn sparks up as it starts shooting little sparks of whitish purple magic from it. You turn your head from her as a bright white what looks like bubble of magic starts to form behind you in the hall. The bubble starts to grow bigger and settles at an what looks like an arch looking portal thing. Twilight's eyes come back to normal as her horn starts to lose it's glow, however she doesn't notice the glowing in the hall as she just stares to you. However your gaze doesn't return to her and she eventually turns her head towards the glowing light. “That’s my house…” You can see what looks to be a library in the thick purple film of the bubble. Her cry has turned into a light sniffle and her head perks up as she blinks to the light, “I-I think this is the way back home…” However she doesn't jump to her hooves like you thought she would as she turns her head to you. You sense her stare as you turn back to her and quickly speak up, "If this is the way back home you need to go..." You can’t believe what you just said after what you did, but you want for her to be happy overpowers your new found feelings. Her big purple and still puffy eyes hold to you for a moment as she speaks up, "J-just leave?” As her words ring through the room the portal begins to shift a little. She stammers with her words “Maybe I could…” You stop her words as you speak over her, "You have to go...What if this is your only chance?" You take your hand from her back as you move away from her with a smile. Twilight hesitates for a moment but she stands up and starts to trot towards the portal, however she stops as she just stares into it. You swallow hard as you speak up, "Don't waste it..." Your words turn her head as she quivers her lips for the moment wanting to say something, but she doesn't as her eyes flutter again. She turns back to the bright light as she takes her first step into the purple film, as her figure starts go further into the portal it begins to fade in and out. Her eyes come back to yours for the moment as she looks back to you from the other side until the portal completely closes. You sit there in silence for a few minutes unsure of what to do… - - - (Present) The warm feel of Violet and Twilight's magic slowly fades from your mind as you open your eyes to the room, and as you blink your eyes a slight teary eyed wetness comes to them along with a lump to your throat. Unlike before the feelings that have transferred over to you are of a deep sadness and the feeling of being lost. "T-that spell was so vivid..." Twilight's low and slow voice turns your head, however as you turn your head to hers your eyes meet. The soft and warm purple eyes washes your thoughts away and you can't help but lean over to her as you give her a little kiss. The kiss only last a moment but you catch her and the young on looking mare off guard as a faint giggle comes up from her. The giggle brings your own slight chuckle as you extend her hoof to her back and begin to rub. Your motions to her coat brings a response from her as she speaks up still in the light tone, "Did you enjoy it?" You think over her comment for a moment but decided not to answer it as you speak up, "What happened next?" Violet pokes her ears up a little more as Twilight takes on a loving smile, "You saved me for the second time." A faint chuckle comes up from you as you continue to just lightly rub your hoof to her back. But the time for talk comes to an end as the sound of Aerolight’s baby like squalls comes up to the room. You and Twilight both turn your eyes to the anxious colt now standing up in his crib, Twilight moves from her spot on the bed as she speaks up, "You're not sleepy anymore are you hmmm?" No response comes from the colt as the light purple dragon leaning to the doorway speaks up, "Naw, you guys were only in that spell for like three minutes, you probably just woke him." You blink to the comment as you turn back to the light purple mare in front of you, Violet gives a light yawn as you speak up, "You tired?" Violet cocks her eyes to you as she gives you a no duh glare. However your words bring Twilight's voice back to the conversation as she speaks up to the light purple mare, "Tired? Don't you want to show us your spell? I'm sure that much experience with human magic and thought would make it easy." Violet shakes her head as she just waves the comment off. "Alright...We can do it later if you want. Just get some rest for a little." Twilight turns her head back to the colt as she takes him into her hold and starts to trot towards the door. Violet follows after her as she holds her mind to just getting to her own room. The sound of their hooves runs to the room for a moment but you ignore it as you turn your head back to your hoof for a moment. You look over the fur for a moment as you think to yourself, hands are overrated... A faint smile comes to your face as you stand from the bed. "Hey, what spell did you guys even do?" Spike cocks his head to you as he takes a step into the room. You think it over for a moment as you shell out the best word for it, "Dream spell memory thingy about when Twilight and me first meet." "OH..." His eyes get a little wide as he points his claw to you, "I remember that, I was so worried about Twilight." You squint to the comment as you speak up, "How come you never told Celestia?" "Never told Celestia??" He shake his head to you as he crosses his arms, "I sent her a letter right after I went to see if Twilight actually teleported to Rarity's." Your ear flicks to the comment as you speak up, "What did she say?" "Hmm..." Spike taps his claw to his mouth for the moment as he speaks up in an unsure tone, "She told me that Twilight teleported to Canterlot." "What?" You cock your head to the comment as you quickly rush out your voice, "Why?" "Heck, I don't know...Why do you think I was so worried, I thought we were going to leave Ponyville or that Twilight was getting a different assistant!" You stare to the light purple dragon for a moment as you think over what he said, "What happened to the book Twilight used?" Spike shrugs as he turns out of the room, "I don't, haven't seen it since." "Spike, where did you put the bottles I had set out?" The sound of Twilight's voice through the house turns the little dragon as he starts out the door, "I didn't move them?" As the tap tap of Spike's claws moves down the hall you give a slight sigh as you push the thoughts about your past out of your mind, mainly just because of the feelings it brings up.
