It's been several months since Lightning Twister was foalnapped by his father. Now he's back with his loving family is wanting to take his special somepony out on a date.
It has been several months since Lightning Twister was foalnapped and held captive by his father. Now he's back home with Fluttershy and the rest his loving family. Lightning's new life is going great and now he wants to take his very special somepony out for a date.
Princess Celestia's magnificent sun shines across Ponyville on a beautiful afternoon. At Fluttershy's cottage, Fluttershy and Lightning Twister are feeding all of their animals together while Fluttershy sings a happy song. It's been several months since Lightning was foalnapped at the Grand Galloping Gala and was held captive by his father Cold Wind. However things have now taken a better turn in Lightning's life. Cold Wind is now in jail for life and Lightning is now home with his his loving and caring family. Fluttershy continues to work and sing happily until she notices a sad look on her sons face.
"Lightning, is something wrong, sweetheart?" she asked with concern in her voice.
Lightning softly smiled at his mother and shook his head.
"No, Momma, I'm alright. I'm just thinking about something." he responded in his usual soft tone of voice.
Fluttershy was now curious about what it is her son could be thinking so hard about.
"Do you want to tell me whatever it is your thinking about?" she asked sweetly, hoping lightning would open up.
Lightning wasn't sure if he should tell anyone what he was thinking about. However Fluttershy was his mother and she cared for him deeply and she strives to see him happy.
"Well, Momma, I was thinking, about, Scootaloo. I-I want to take her out on a date." Lightning said shyly while scratching the ground with his hoof.
Lightning had been thinking about this for a few days now. He and Scootaloo never really had a special night together. They did go to the Grand Galloping Gala together, but their friends were with them most of the night. The two really never had a special night where it was just the two of them.
Fluttershy softly smiled at her son. She knew that Scootaloo was his special somepony and he cared about her deeply and she cared for him as well.
"That's wonderful, sweetie. Do you know where you want to take her?" she asked
Lightning shook his head in response, he didn't even know if he could work up the courage to ask her on a date.
Fluttershy gave him a gentle smile and tapped her chin with her hoof.
"I bet your, Auntie Pinkie, could let you two have a special dinner at Sugarcube corner tonight." Fluttershy said softly
Lightning smiled and said, "I think that would be nice, Momma, but I haven't asked Scootaloo on a date yet because I don't know if she'll say yes."
Fluttershy smiled and nuzzled her son before saying, "Well you'll never find out unless you ask. Now you go to you Auntie Rainbow's house and ask Scootaloo on a date, I'll talk with your Auntie Pinkie later."
"But what about the animals, Momma?" Lightning asked with concern of his mother overworking herself.
"Momma, will finish feeding them, sweetie, We're almost finished anyway, now run along." Fluttershy said softly.
Lightning nodded his head before smiling at his mother. He gave her a hug and then kissed her on the cheek before saying goodbye and heading for Rainbow's house.
Fluttershy smiled as she watched her son fly off. She was happy that Lightning had Scootaloo as a special somepony. Even thought they were young, she knew in her heart that they were meant to be together.

In the home of Rainbow Dash, Rainbow was flying up to Scootaloo's bedroom where she could hear moaning and complaining. She knocked on the door and heard a response for her to come in. She opened the door and saw Scootaloo lying on her bed and groaning in irritation.
"What's the matter scoots?"Rainbow asked
Scootaloo looked up to her sister figure and said, "I've been thinking about asking Lightning out on a date, but I don't know if I should."
Rainbow sat down on the bed beside her and helped her sit up before asking, "What do you mean you don't know if you should?"
"I mean, what if he says no? What if he doesn't want to be my special somepony anymore?" Scootaloo asked before tearing up a little bit at the thought.
Rainbow rolled her eyes a little bit before pulling the filly over to her and wrapping one of her wings around her.
"Look kiddo, he's your special somepony and you care about him deeply. You told me you two almost kissed at the Grand Galloping Gala. What I'm trying to tell you scoots' is that Lightning is happy to be with you and I promise he would love to go on a date with you."
Scootaloo nodded her head in understanding before wrapping her forelegs around Rainbows waist.
"Thanks Rainbow Dash." she said happily.
Rainbow gently rubbed Scootaloo's back with her wing as she looked out the window and saw Lightning coming to her house. She then heard a knock on the door and she smiled down at Scootaloo.
"Could you go and get that for me kiddo?" She asked the little filly
Scootaloo nodded her head and ran downstairs while rainbow stayed in the room while smiling.
When she reached the front door, Scootaloo opened and was face to face with Lightning.
"Hey, Lightning come on in." She said happily as she hugged the colt in front of her.
Lightning smiled at her and stepped inside. Scootaloo closed the door before going over to lightning. They nuzzled each other for a moment as Lightning's heart began to race out of nervousness. Scootaloo began to get a little nervous too as remembered what she wanted to ask Lightning.
"So whats up?" She asked trying to get a conversation going.
Lightning rubbed the back of his neck nervously and said, "Um...I just came hear to ask you something."
Scootaloo was curious as she responded, "What is it?"
Lightning rubbed his neck even more as he let out a nervous and shaky sigh.
"Um..I-I was just w-wondering, i-if you w-would l-like to go on a d-date with m-me."
Scootaloo was shocked, Lightning wanted to ask the same thing she wanted to ask. She began to smile before hugging Lightning.
"Yes Lightning I would love to go on a date with you." She said happily before kissing Lightning on the cheek.
Lightning blushed a little bit at the kiss and let out a sigh of relief.
"Great," he said happily "I'll come by your house tonight."
Scootaloo nodded her head and kissed Lightning on the cheek one more time. The two nuzzled each other for a moment before Lightning said goodbye and made his way back home to get ready for tonight.
Scootaloo smiled softly as she watched him fly away until he disappeared into the clouds.
She closed the door and turned around to see Rainbow Dash leaning against the wall with a smug look on her face.
"Heh, what did I tell you?" She said with a cocky smirk making Scootaloo roll her eyes and giggle.
As Princess Luna's Beautiful moon shines across Ponyville, Lightning is in his home being helped with his tuxedo by Fluttershy. He hated wearing the tuxedo but he kept reminding himself he was doing this for Scootaloo. Fluttershy finished tying the tie around his neck and stepped back and smiled at her son.
"Oh, Lightning you really do look handsome." Fluttershy said gently as Lightning softly smiled in response.
"Thanks, Momma, I think I'm ready to go." He said softly
Fluttershy nodded her head and went over to the counter in the kitchen. She then returned to Lightning and gave him some bits to help pay for his dinner.
"Alright, sweetie, your all set. I hope you have a good time tonight." Fluttershy said as she softly smiled. She couldn't help but be proud of her son, he was growing up fast.
"Thank You, Momma, I'll be home later tonight." He said before hugging his mother and nuzzling her cheek.
Fluttershy gently kissed Lightning in the forehead and he ran out the door while shouting goodbye to her. Before he went to Rainbows House he quickly flew into Ponyville to pick up something for her. He paid the pony his bits for his gift and made his way up into the clouds.
It took him a few minutes, but he finally arrived at Rainbow Dash's house. He knocked on the door and waited for Someone to answer while his gift was behind his back. When the door finally Lightning eyes went wide with amazement. Standing at the door was Scootaloo. She was wearing a light blue dress with the same design as she had for the Grand Galloping Gala. Her mane was also combed into the same style from the Gala and around her neck as usual was the necklace Lightning gave her.
Scootaloo closed the door behind her and softly smiled at Lightning.
"You look beautiful Scootaloo." He said gently. He then handed her his gift which was a bouquet of flowers.
"Thank You Lightning, you know I'm actually not starting to mind wearing a dress." She said gently and happily.
Lightning stepped back a bit at what she just said.
"Who are you and what have you done with Scootaloo!?" He joked making Scootaloo giggle while playfully punching him.
Lightning handed her his gift which was a bouquet of flowers. Scootaloo smiled as she took the flowers and smelled them.
"Aw..Thank You Lightning." She said sweetly before kissing him on the cheek. "So what are we going to do Tonight?"
"Well, Auntie Pinkie has made a nice dinner at Sugarcube Corner." Lightning responded while smiling softly at Scootaloo.
"Sounds like a plan, let's go." Scootaloo said before spreading her wings.
Lightning took her hoof in his and the two flew to Sugarcube Corner while wearing smiles on there faces.
When they arrived at their location, Lightning opened the door for Scootaloo and allowed her inside. Scootaloo giggled a little bit before rolling her eyes. She walked in the and grabbed Lightning by the arm on the way in. When they were inside they saw the place was abandoned and quiet until Pinkie Pie bounced into the room.
"Well there you two are right this way please." She said happily before trotting over to a nearby table.
Lightning and Scootaloo followed her over to the table and Lightning pulled out a chair for Scootaloo. She blushed a little bit before sitting down. Lightning gently pushed her chair in for her before sitting down himself. Pinkie handed them each a tall glass of ice cold water to drink before leaving to prepare their dinner. Lightning and Scootaloo smiled at each other for a moment before talking about whatever came to their minds. They talked about flying, the Wonderbolts, the prank they pulled on Prince Blueblood at the Grand Galloping Gala, and many other things.
Pinkie soon arrived with two large bows of salad. The two ate their dinner while talking and laughing. They were happily enjoying each others company like they always. They always enjoyed hanging out with Applebloom and Sweetie Belle but they also enjoyed the times when it was just the two of them. Pinkie eventually brought them desert which was two huge slices of chocolate cheesecake. Lightning and Scootaloo liked their lips before devouring their pieces of cake in a matter of seconds.
Once their meal was finished, Lightning pulled out the bits he had in his pocket and gave them to Pinkie.
The hyper pink pony shook her head gently pushed back Lightning's hoof.
"You don't need to pay me sweetie, It's on the house." She said gently before wishing the two a good night.
Lightning and Scootaloo left Sugarcube Corner and smiled at each other. They decided to take a walk in the park before going home. When they arrived they walked down the sidewalk to the tree where Lightning asked Scootaloo to be his special somepony for Hearts and Hooves day. The moon shined on the lake as Scootaloo took something out of a small pocket on her dress. She pulled out a small silver box and handed it to Lightning. He opened it and gasped at what he saw inside. It was the necklace that Fluttershy gave him for his birthday, the same necklace that his father had destroyed.
"I remember you telling me about how upset you were when your dad broke your necklace. So I asked Rarity to make you a new one so you could be happy again." Scootaloo said softly
Lightning said nothing as tears streamed down his face and he put the necklace around his neck. He then wrapped his forelegs around Scootaloo and gave her a loving hug.
"Thank you so much Scootaloo! You're the best fillyfriend a colt could ask for!" Lightning said happily.
Scootaloo felt small tears form in her eyes as wrapped her forelegs around Lightning and said, "Your welcome, Lightning, and I couldn't ask for a sweeter, more awesome coltfriend than you."
The two kept their forelegs wrapped around one another as they looked into each others eyes. The moon shined beautifully in Scootaloo's lavender eyes as well as Lightning's blue ones. Without saying anything, both Lightning and Scootaloo closed their eyes and slowly brought their heads towards each other. Their inched closer and close to on another until their lips finally met.
The kiss was much longer that the one at the Hearths Warming Eve party but unlike that one they didn't want to break this kiss. After about a minute the kiss was finally broken and Scootaloo softly smiled at Lightning before laying her head under his chin.
"Lightning, I've had the best night ever, do you know why?"
"Why?" Lightning responded curiously.
Scootaloo looked into his eyes and smiled at him lovingly and said, "because, I got to spend it with you."
She then kissed him on the lips again before she rested head back underneath his chin and let out a sigh of Happiness.
Lightning said nothing as he softly nuzzled her. The two stayed in each others embrace for a few more minutes before going over to the tree and carving their names into a tree and making a heart in the center. Lightning then sat down underneath the tree and Scootaloo sat beside him. She snuggled into him and rested her head against his chest and let out another sigh of happiness. Lightning softly smiled at her before wrapping a foreleg around her and laying his head on top of hers. He closed his and let his own sigh of happiness as Princess Luna's beautiful moon shined across the lake.
