> The Misadventures of Blazing "Inferno" Justice > by Blazing Justice > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Introducing: The OCs! [Edited] > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let me clear this up real quick. This chapter was suggested by my friends and peers. I put no history into Rhino, Atom, and Myself. So this chapter introduces the OC's! Hoorah! I wanted to do this differently, but decided it was a bad idea. I deleted the last chapter because it would have clashed with this one. So, ENJOY! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prologue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fire... Fire everywhere... My home was burning down before me like a flaming meteor hit it, but in reality, a small log fell out of the hearth, and I ran out of the house. It sounds crazy, a five year old pegasus colt, running out of his parents house while a fire tears the place apart. The flames, growing ever so quickly, were dark orange. All I can do is stand here and watch, as my house, my memories, my parents burn right in front of my eyes. At this time, the fire department came to put the fire out. They started searching the house for my parents. One hour later, after a thorough search of the house, my parents burnt bodies were found in their room. Living in Canterlot, I had no family near me to take me in. So, I went to my best friend, Rhino, for some help. His family, being as amazingly generous as they were, took me in and raised me in their family. But I still have a problem. My parents where earth ponies, and Rhino's parents where unicorns. So, me being a pegasus, wanted to learn to fly. Well, that didn't happen. I am learning earth pony traits, and I can't fly. I'm Blazing Justice, and this is my story. 1 Year Later.... "Come on Rhino, we have to go! We can't be late for the first day of school!" I yelled at the top of my lungs to my roommate and stepbrother. "I'm coming!" He yelled back, obviously annoyed that I was so impatient. He came down wearing his trademark black watch. Snazzy, I must say. "It took you forty minutes to put on a watch?!" I yell at him, annoyed. "What can I say? This watch makes me. I also took a shower." He replies plainly. "Ugh... We're gonna be right on time if we leave..." I check my watch, "Now. Let's go!" And with that, we set off at a run towards the school for gifted fillies and colts. What can I say? We're smart. While our other friend, Atom, isn't as smart as we are, he makes up for it in combat skill. He can slice a tree clean in half with Whispering Breeze, his family sword hilt. We got to the school one minute before the teacher started class. I looked at Rhino as he took his seat, grinning like an idiot, ready to learn. I facehoofed, thinking we were gonna get bullies and stuff hunting us down like a pack of timberwolves. Fortunately, he noticed before anypony else and stopped, now grinning sheepishly for his stupidity. "Let's just get through today, then you can smile like a vampony at a blood drive." I said, adding that little joke at the end. "Yeah, I guess." Right then, I had a vision. Not like an artistic vision, but a "predict the future" kinda vision. My mind became all hazy, and I fell onto my side. I could vaguely hear a collective gasp, but my mind was too shorted out to process it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Mom?! Mom, come on, stay with me! You can't die now! We need you!" I heard Rhino in the distance crying, and a mare comforting him. "Please... mom... you've taken... harder hits... than that! You can... pull through!" I said between sobs. It was then that I felt a cold hoof on my shoulder. My mother's hoof. "Be brave... Blaze..." She said with a wheeze. "I need... you to promise... me something...." She said as her breath came in convulsions of air. "Anything! Just... tell me what it is..." I said softly. "Promise me..." a wheeze, "You will..." another wheeze. No.... "Protect the family..." she finished weakly. "Protect Rhino, your father, and yourself... I will... watch over you... Be brave, Blazing Justice..." "Don't worry... mom..." I said, sobbing again. "Nopony will EVER hurt our family again!" I said bravely, yet weakly at the same time. "I promise..." and with her final strength, she managed to make a warm smile up at me, and her hoof slowly slid off my shoulder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I gasped as I came to. The horrible realization sunk in as I deciphered what I saw. "You okay, Blaze?" came the familiar, concerned voice of Rhino. "You randomly passed out." "Yeah I'm fine, but we need to talk. Hey, teacher? I need to talk to my brother for a sec. Is that okay?" I asked the teacher. He just grunted in response. "Thanks." As we went into the hall, Rhino went full doctor on me. "Are you okay? You fell and hit your head. Then you passed out and woke up fifteen minutes later. That's not normal for you, Blaze." "I had a vision." Rhino stopped checking, looked and gave me his undivided attention. "I saw you, mom, and some other mare that seemed vaguely familiar. But I'm telling you now, I think there's a problem." "Okay, is it bad?" He asked. "Uh... Yeah." I said, worried how he might take this news. "Okay, how about we deal with it later. Obviously it's not happening now, so let's talk after school." He said. "Alright. Later." I say with a determined tone. We walked back into class, and the teacher began.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "And so begins the life of: Blazing Justice." I read to my adorable children, Flame Spectrum and Prism Glow. The pegasus filly, Prism, asked excitedly, "Can you read more daddy?" The pegasus colt, Flame, added, "Yeah, read more daddy!" "No kids, it's time for bed." And from the kitchen of our home, stepped out the most beautiful mare I have ever laid eyes on. My wife, Rainbow Dash. "Come on, now." "Awwwww.... But we want to hear more of daddy's stories!" Flame whined. "Come on, Flame. Tomorrow night, okay? Your Mother and I are gonna go to bed now." after that last part, I wiggled my brows to Dash. The look on her face. "Okay, goodnight mommy and daddy." The kids spoke at the same time. "Goodnight, kids." As I tuck them in, Dash adds, "And actually sleep this time!" I chuckle when I climb into bed with Dash, as she cuddles closer to me. "Goodnight, Dash. I love you." I said to my wife with a loving voice. "Goodnight, Blaze. Love you too." She said closing her eyes, smiling beautifully as always. > Complications [Edited] > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick Note: There are perspective changes here and most likely later too, so be aware of who's perspective it is. Now, on with the story! 13 Years Later... Thirteen Years. Thirteen years ago, I had that horrible, horrible vision. But yet, nothing has come to pass. I sometimes wonder if it isn't real... Then I think of the visions I had that were real. The bullies at school beat up my brother. My father had to move away for his job. But then there were the good ones. Mom got a job serving food in Canterlot Castle. Me and Rhino graduated middle school 12 years ago and are now fully on our own. I mean, our lives are great. Well, great until we have to obey our parents house rules. That's currently what Rhino and I are talking about now. "Of course I'm sure. We're making one of the biggest decisions of our lives right now, and I couldn't be more sure about this." Rhino says. "But... Ponyville? Really? It sounds so boring. I mean, 'a small town near the Everfree Forest.' Snoozville." I say, I'm unsure of what to do. I want to follow Rhino's decision, but I don't want to live a boring life either. "Yes, really. It's not too far from here, and it has nicely paying jobs. I think it's a great choice." Rhino says confidently. Currently, we are sitting on a park bench in one of Canterlot's public parks. I was about to respond, but a blue mare walkedpast us. "Hm, she looks familiar." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Perspective Switch: Sapphire Justice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hm, he looks familiar, but I can't put my hoof on it. Ugh, whatever. He'll turn up eventually. Ooh! Atom! I walk away waving at him. "Hey, babe. I just got off duty for today." He says, walking next to me. "Well, what a big, strong coltfriend I have. Being in the Royal Guard and all." I say to Atom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ End of Perspective Switch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hm, whatever. She's leaving. She looks so familiar, but I can't put my hoof on it. Ugh, whatever. Let's go home, Rhy." Unbeknowst to me, Rhino fell asleep in the twenty minutes it took me to think. I lean close to whisper in his ear, and then... "WAKE UP, RHINO!" My sudden shout causes him to jump up and reflexively Res to the tree above us. I laughed. Hard. "Oh, ha ha that was so funny." (I'm sorry, I don't know how to write that very well.) He climbs down and gives me the most blood-chilling stare, ever. "Ya know, I could stick you to this bench and leave," He deadpans. I stop laughing and gulp, "Point taken." We get up, our minds set. I stretch and ask, "We're buying the house then?" "Of course," He replies, plain as ever. "It's gonna be a nice house, too. Fully furnished, everything." "Cool." Right then, the blue mare pops up in my head again. "Ugh, who was that mare?" I notice a poster on the pole next to us featuring: the blue mare. I pull it off the pole and read it aloud, "Sapphire Justice plays a concert in Ponyville town square. Buy tickets at town hall." The name hits me like a ton of bricks, "Sapphire JUSTICE?! MY SISTER?!" I yell ecstatically. "She's alive!" "You have a sister? I thought you said your whole family died in the fire?" He questions, unsure of this situation. "Apparently, she's alive and still plays..." I look at the picture on the poster. "...The guitar. Just like me! Oh this is awesome!" I say, oblivious to the ponies staring at me. "You play guitar? Since when?" He questions again. "Since always. We used to play together. We wrote... one song..." I finish with a sheepish smile. "One? Are you good?" He asks, apparently really interested. "Well, I don't play guitar, but I sing with her. I'm a good singer." I say to a very confused Rhino. We start walking home to tell mom and dad about the house, and long lost sibling. "Anyway, what are you gonna do when you see her?" he asks. "Sing with her. I want her to know I'm okay after all these years." I say. "Okay then." He says, dropping the subject. 3 Hours Later... Rhino is crying a bit as he hugs mom and dad goodbye. "We're leaving now. Bye Mom, Bye Dad." I say, hooked onto a cart with Rhino, ready to leave for Ponyville. I hug them and say, "We'll write to you guys! Come visit sometime!" I shout as we walk away, pulling the cart together. "We're on our way, bro. We're on our way." Rhino says, still emotional after his goodbye hugs. "This is gonna be great." Right then, a mare crashes on the ground a few hooves ahead of us. "AH!" The mare in question happens to be a bat pony. She tries to slowly get up, just to collapse on the ground again, unconscious. "Ugh, Rhy, can you lift her onto my back with your magic? I'll carry her to Ponyville. That looks to be her destination anyway." Nodding, Rhino puts the mare onto my back and says, "There. You're sure you can carry her and pull the cart at the same time?" "Yeah, she's not that heavy. Onward!" We set off again, unsure of what other surprises are gonna come our way today. But whatever they are, we're gonna face them head-on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "And that's when I accidentally met your aunts." I say, closing my journal/book. "Awesome! So she fell out of the sky in front of you and uncle Rhino? And you didn't recognize your own sister?" Prism asked. "Well, I thought she was dead. I thought she died with my parents." I say sadly. "Okay, bedtime now, kids!" Dash shouts from the other room. "Okay, mom." Flame answered for the both of them. "Goodnight, Flame and Prism." I say to my kids as they scurry to bed. "Night Dash, I love you." I say to my wife. "Night Blaze. Love you, too." She says to me, as we engage in a short, passionate kiss. As I lay to sleep, Dash scoots into bed and sighs contentedly. I do the same, and fall asleep a few minutes later. > Midnight Shroud & A House? Oh My! [Edited] > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to Rhino, we are about two hours away from Ponyville, so we decide to take a quick rest. I set the bat mare on the ground under a tree. Rhino and I sit and talk for a while about various topics, my past, predictions about the rest of our lives, things like that. As we talk, the mare starts to come to. "Ugh... What happened?" She asks groggily. "You crashed in front of us, passed out, and we carried you with us." I explain. "It looked as if Ponyville was your destination also, so we figured that you wouldn't mind if we brought you closer than you were. What happened to you anyway?" I ask. "Well..." She pauses, and seems to think about it. "I can't remember..." She says sadly. "Hey, it's alright. We have plenty of time for you to remember. We're probably gonna rest here for a while, anyway." Rhino reassures her. "Do you at least remember your name?" "Yes, I do. Midnight. Midnight Shroud. Nice to meet you..." She trails off, silently questioning for Rhino's name. "Rhino. and this is my half-brother Blaze." He sticks his hoof out to shake, but she bumps it instead. "Heh..." "Nice to meet ya'." I stick my hoof out preparing for the bump, but she actually shakes it. "Um... Okay then..." "I like to mix it up sometimes. Keeps ya' on your guard." Midnight clarifies after her random little display. I don't know what it is about her, but she seems to have a type of mental defense up. "Hm... Interesting..." I say under my breath. "What was that?" She asks, a little too quickly for my taste. "Did you say something?" "Hm... Yes, I did. You're very perceptive. I said that you're interesting." "Interesting in good or bad way?" She asks, confused. I think of how to word my response for a moment and say, "A good way. I meant that you're able to maintain a calm, serious demeanor when being relaxed at the same time. It gives you a good image." I compliment her. "Well, what do you expect from a royal guard of the night? I have to be act serious all the time and it's just natural now." She says, surprising both me and Rhino. "You're a Royal Guard? Under Luna, no less? Blaze, why do we know so many ponies in the Guard?" He asks me and looks at the ground, shaking his head. I chuckle and respond, "Because the Princesses are trying to get us to join." I joke. "But seriously, I have no idea." "Who else do you know that's in the Guard?" Midnight asks us. "Atomic Vortex. He's one of our closest friends." Rhino responds. I don't know why, but I have a feeling Rhino is gonna be a lot closer to this mare than me. "Atom?! The one who's dating the famous singer?!" She asks incredulously. "The one and only. Why? Do you know him? And he's dating who?!" I ask. "Of course I know him! He's Shining Armor's right hoof stallion! And he's dating Sapphire... Justice. Wait, are you two related?" Midnight finishes with a question. "She's my sister... that I thought was dead. Atom has a lot of explaining to do when we come back to Canterlot." I say, a little bit angry. "Well, let's head off to Ponyville now." Rhino says, getting up and stretching. "We still need a place to stay tonight. You're welcome to stay with us tonight, Midnight." "Woah, woah, woah! Rhino. We just met her. How do you know we can trust her in our house while we're asleep?" I question him. "If I wanted to do something, I would have by now." Midnight speaks up. "I guess... Fine, you can stay with us. But, Rhino, next time ask me before you make decisions that involve both of us. Okay?" I make ask to make sure we don't get random strangers in our house. "Alright, fine." He replies, back to his plain old self. "Good." And with that, we set off again for Ponyville, making conversation as we walk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Perspective Switch: Sapphire Justice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I realize that we need to leave, just give me a moment. For Celestia sake, Atom, you are so impatient." I say. "Well, I'm excited to go. My two best friends are moving to Ponyville, and I want to beat them there!" Atom says, very excitedly. I sigh, "Fine. I'm ready, let's go." Outside the door, I ask Atom: "They wouldn't happen to be my brother and Rhino, is it?" "Yep! Does he even know about you, though?" He asks. "I think... He saw the poster I put in the park, so he should know." I say to him, a hint of doubt in my voice. "Mhmm..." He mumbles. "Whatever. Let's just go." I say, leading him out of the hotel. It takes 1 hour to walk from the hotel to the train station. We get on, and make it to Ponyville in thirty minutes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ End of Perspective Switch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We're here!" I say happily as we walk through Ponyville's outskirts. The town has a small, quaint feel to it. Probably one of those towns where all the ponies know each other. "This is nice. An amazing change of scenery, if you ask me." "I think you're right, Blaze. I'm excited to meet whoever owns that gingerbread house over there." Rhino says, drooling over the oversized pastry. "Let's go to town hall, first. We still need to buy our house." I say, eager to unpack. "Right. But we don't know where it is..." Rhino brings this little snippet of information to my attention. "I do. Follow me." Midnight responds placidly. "I've been here before. It's such a nice little town." "Okay." As we walk, I ask Midnight: "Hey, do you remember what happened to you yet? When you fell, I mean." "Oh! Yeah, I do! I was flying with three other ponies from my Guard unit. We go into an argument, and they pushed me down and kept flying. They all wanted me gone, anyway, because I'm the captain of the unit. A lot of ponies want that job. So they tried to get rid of me. Despicable. I was gonna quit, anyway." "Why quit if you're good at it?" Rhino asks, confused as I am. "Just because I'm good at it, doesn't mean I like it. I barely have any friends outside of you two and Atom, so I want to quit. I want to live my life the way I want to, not the way they want me too." She says with a bit of resentment. "I guess that's a good enough reason." I gasp loudly and say, "Oh dear Celestia! I can speak with my real accent here! Yes!" I say, already using my Fillydelphia accent. "But I won't change the words that I speak. I can't even remember Fillydephian slang." "You're Fillydelphian? Oh, yeah, you're mom. Well, before she... ya know..." I kinda become a little sad when he says this. "It's fine. I've come to terms with it. No amount of sadness will bring them back, anyway. But It still hurts." I say sadly. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened to you're mom?" Midnight asks reluctantly, but curiously. I sigh, "My parents died in a house fire years ago. I started living with Rhino a week after. His family officially adopted me back then. But now, I found my sister and I'm going to meet her." "Oh... I'm so sorry for you're losses..." She says sadly. "We're here..." I sigh, "Let's do this." "Right." Rhino responds. We walk into town hall, and see a sophisticated-looking mare sitting at a desk. She must be the mayor. "Can I help you?" She asks politely. "We would like a house. One close to town square, please." I say to her, describing the desired location. "Of course! We have one next to Sugarcube Corner, if you're interested." She says happily. "The gigantic gingerbread house?! We'll take it!" Rhino says, his mouth watering. "Actually, I agree. That sounds convenient..." I say, thinking of the rumors I heard about Sugarcube Corner. "Good choice, boys, I would agree too. That place serves a variety of foods, so that makes it a desirable location. Also, you have to meet the mare who works there. She's awesome." Midnight explains with a grin. "Hm... So it's not just a bakery... Cool! We'll take it!" I say. The mayor digs into her desk for the key, and hoofs it to me. "That'll be eighty bits." I hoof her the bits and say, "Thanks! I hope to see you around!" As we turn to leave, the mayor says: "But of course! Also, there is a town meeting tomorrow concerning the concert in a few days. That's all! Have a nice evening!" We walk out the door... to see our best friend, Atom, standing with... My sister?! "Atom?! And Sapphire?!" I yell. "Uh... Hi bro..." Sapphire says. And right then, I pass out from the surprise of Atom and Sapphire standing in front of me. > Meet the Parent [Edited] > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Note: I'm so sorry for the long periods in between chapters. I'm writing a 5 page paper right now, and I need to do that stuff first. On with the story! :P As I wake, I find that I am in a soft, comfortable bed. "Ooh... Cushy..." I say softly. "You're finally awake, then." I turn my head to see Midnight staring out the window. I crane my neck to see that it is, in fact, the middle of the night. "How long was I out? And where are we?" I ask Midnight. "About... six hours? Seven? I don't really know. And we're at your place." She answers, still looking out the window. "Okay... What are you staring at?" I ask her, trying to see for myself. She turns and smiles a bit before she answers. "Look for yourself." I get up and walk to the window. When Midnight moved, the curtain shifted into place. Where a normal pegasus would have used a their wing, I used a hoof to move the curtain. "Wow, the sky is beautiful tonight." "Indeed, it is. By the way, why didn't you just use your wings to open the curtain?" She asks quizzically. I sigh, "Because I can't..." I whisper, barely audible. "What?" "Because I can't! Okay!" I shout at her. "Woah... Sorry... I just wanted to know..." She says apologetically. "No, no. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shouted." I say, just as Rhino enters the room. "What's going on in here?" Rhino asks out of breath, as if he ran in here. "Midnight, did you ask him about his wings?" Rhino asks. "Yeah... I didn't know it was such a touchy subject..." She replies, looking at the floor. Rhino sighs and says, "Come with me, Midnight. Blaze, Atom is downstairs with Sapphire. I believe you want to talk to them?" Rhino says, leading Midnight out of the room. "Oh, yeah." I reply. "Sorry again, Blaze." Midnight says before exiting the room. I nod to signify that it's fine. I walk downstairs to see Atom and Sapphire sitting on the couch side by side. Situations like this require coffee. "Before we begin, is there any coffee?" I ask. "Yeah. In the kitchen." Atom replies. "Thanks." It takes me a few minutes to find the kitchen, seeing as I was unconscious when I got here. Fresh coffee is brewed. It must be dawn, or somepony made me coffee. Yeah, option A is better. Now that I got my coffee, I walk back to the living room. "So, Atom, nice to see you buddy." I say, to get started. "Definitely. And I believe you already know Sapphire." Atom replies. "Uh... Yeah. Long time, no see sis." I say awkwardly. "Mhmm." She hums, staring at the floor. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "Hm? Oh, nothing. I had a question, is all." She says. "Well? What is it?" I ask he, puzzled. "I know we just met for the first time in ages, but I'm down a singer and need a replacement for the concert tomorrow. Would you like to help out?" She asks. "Gladly." I say with a smile. "I knew I could count on you!" She says as she rushes up off of the couch and hugs me. I hug her back and whisper in her ear, "I still can't fly, by the way. Can you teach me later?" "Sure. I thought you wouldn't learn, living with Rhino." She whispers back. "How do you know about that?" I ask, pushing myself out of the hug. "Did you know where I was this whole time?! And you didn't come to see me, or give me advice, or even tell me that you were alive?!" I shout, feeling frustration and anger beginning to boil. "No. I only heard bits and pieces of a student prodigy in Princess Celestia's personal school thirteen years ago. Then, when I met Atom, he told me about you. But I never believed him until I saw you for myself." She says earnestly. "Then why didn't you talk to me in the park?! I recognized you, but couldn't figure it out." I say. "I was... scared. I didn't want to make a mistake thinking it was you, but being wrong." She says, pawing at the carpet. "Okay. I guess it's fine..." I say, taking a breath. "...but let's talk outside for a moment. I need to say something private." I glance at Atom, who in turn nods. "Fine." Sapphire says. We walk outside, into the backyard. "What's up?" She asks. "It's about mom. She didn't die, did she?" I ask. She takes her time answering, and sighs. "No. She didn't. Spark Flare is fine too." Spark Flare is alive? I need to see her. "Have you seen her?" "Not lately. But I do know that she wants to see you, ASAP." As she says this, a bright flash interrupts the conversation. "Ah!" "Son, Daugher. We have much to discuss." Princess Celestia says to us, as we bow to our mother. "Rise, children. I do not expect you to treat me like the others do." We stop bowing, and I smirk at my mother. "Long time, no see, Mom." I say. She just smiles softly at me. "Come inside, we have refreshments." I lead her inside, where we see Atom sipping lemonade. "Did you make that?" "Yeah." He finally looks at us, and his shades fall right off his face. "Princess Celestia! You're majesty!" He bows hastily. "Haha! Atom, meet our mother, Princess Celestia." Sapphire says, smiling softly at our mother. "Mother?! Are you serious?! Why didn't you ever tell me, Sapphire?" He says while he stands from bowing. "Dunno. But pick up your shades, they could get scratched." She says, as Atom picks up his shades. During their exchange, I snuck behind Atom and am now creeping up behind him. The back door is still open, so I have my escape route. Perfect. Let's do this. I got a wild look in my eyes, and tapped him on the shoulder. As he turns around, I move my hoof to the right so it's in front of his eyes. I poke his shades, "Boop." I sprint out the door, Atom chasing me with his sword drawn. "I WILL CUT YOUR WINGS OFF, BLAZING JUSTICE!!" He screams behind me. "Seventh time this week! I'd like to see you try!" I sprint at full speed through Ponyville, Atom close behind me. Uh oh... I feel myself being tackled to the ground with a something like cold steel on my back. "Atom, come on... Let's not get hasty now..." I whimper. "Too late, Mr. Royalty. You had your chance." He says, a wild look in his eyes and his mane frazzled. I gulp, praying silently for a miracle. Suddenly, I see a Rainbow colored blur shoot Atom across the town. "AHHHHhhhhh..." He yells, his voice fading. That was weird. Then I feel myself on the ground again, my vision fading to black. And all I can see now is magenta. "Hey." And into comatose I go...
