Fluttershy woke up with a yawn as she sat up. She moved her long hair away from her face as she looked at the time. She still had plenty of time before school. She never did like feeling rushed.

She stretched and got out of bed, straightening her yellow nightgown. She changed her clothes and went to her mirror to deal with her hair. The mess made her sigh. Sometimes the long hair was a bother, but she did prefer it longer. It was fun to play with at times.

Her eyes went to her hair ties and she got an idea. Today was a pigtail type day. She fixed herself up before tending to her animals and going downstairs.

As usual, her parents weren't home. They were always really busy, since they ran a store by themselves. She didn't blame them for it. Though, she did wish she could get to see them sometimes. She noticed a note from them. It was the usual gone to work note, but there was a small reminder this time. Today was report card day.

Fluttershy gulped. Her parents always wanted to see good grades on there, but she did have some troubles in classes. Sometimes it was difficult for her to get things done. And because of that, her parents were threatening to not let her work at the shelter anymore.

The pink hair girl shook her head. She didn't want to think about it. Too depressing for this early in the morning, though she didn't feel hungry anymore so she decided no breakfast and went ahead to school.

Over all, she wanted to like school, but she couldn't bring herself to. She didn't have any friends. She was the weird shy girl that always had animals with her. No one wanted to talk to her or anything because of it, but she couldn't just abandon the animals. Lately, the only one that would even bother with her in any way was Sunset Shimmer.

If she still had her friends, they would help her. They wouldn't let Sunset Shimmer treat her like this. They would let her push her down in anyway or take her homework or anything. Her mind went back to what happened. Everyone fought and wanted Fluttershy to take a side, but she just couldn't. And because of that, she hurt both sides.

Now she was alone. She looked at the clouds as she walked. She wanted to be okay. She didn't want to be a bother anyways. In her head, she counted the number of school days left. Maybe afterwards, she wouldn't be alone anymore....

A flinch came from the yellow skin girl as she was pushed against a locker. She looked up at the girl with the firey hair.

Sunset Shimmer glared at her. "What do you mean by you 'didn't finish it'? Those math problems are due today. Or are we going to have a problem?"

Fluttershy gulped. "N-no,I...Well,you had me working on English and I just didn't have time and....Can't you do it yourself?" She remembered that even without her help, Sunset Shimmer had good grades.

"Oh please. I am waaaaay too busy running things to bother with such trivial things. Now,it is due 2nd period. So finish it during 1st." Sunset Shimmer sighed. She hated having to deal with bothersome things.

"B-but, I have gym with Coach Ironwill. He would kill me if he saw me even try to work on homework."

Sunset rolled her eyes. Was this girl stupid or something? "Then skip or whatever, just get it done." She shoved her back again, making Fluttershy's lower back hit one of the locks. "Get it done or else."

The pink haired girl flinched from the pain and from the deadly tone in the other girl's voice. She sank down to the floor as the girl walked away. Her blue eyes went to the tile as she tried to hold back her tears. It just felt like she couldn't do anything right. She didn't even know what Sunset would do to her if she didn't get it done, but she didn't want to take the chance.

She picked up her belongings that had recently been thrown to the ground. She looked up in time to see some people looking at her. But they looked away when they saw her looking at them. One person she saw look away as she walked was bright pink.

Fluttershy bit her lip to hold back the tears as she stood up. Her back was killing her from earlier now, She looked down the hall towards the gym. Coach Ironwill really would get her if she didn't come. And her grades in that class weren't too good either. She wasn't too good at gym. She wasn't like Rainbow Dash.

She felt a lump in her throat at the thought of her athletic ex-friend. She didn't even want to remember what went on. Rainbow Dash had been her best friend. They did everything together, but now they didn't look at each other.

":What would she want to do with me anyways?...She has all her teammates, I'm just me...."

Her legs started to take her towards the library while her head looked at the floor. When she wasn't paying attention, she bumped into someone.

"Oh my, I am so sorry,I-" That was when she noticed the red shirt and ginger hair. It was Big Mac. "Oh, hello. S-sorry."

Bic Mac nodded. "No problem." He looked at Fluttershy's face. "You okay? You don't look too good."

Fluttershy jumped slightly. "N-no. I mean, I'm fine. Sorry, I have to go." As she tried to leave, Big Mac grabbed the top of her head and turned her around.

"Your class is that way, Shy." A smirk appeared on his face. "And you know, I am here if you need to talk." He petted her head slightly before walking in a different direction.

Fluttershy watched him walk away. He had always been sweet to her. She looked at the clock and jumped. She had to make a choice.

In the end, she headed to the library. She had some work to do.

Fluttershy looked down at the floor as she left the Principal's office. She didn't know what she was going to do. She only got half of the homework done before Coach found her and failed her for today's work.

Her eyes went down the hall to where she normally meets Sunset Shimmer. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest. She couldn't bring herself to meet up with her. She knew it wouldn't end well. Against what her head was telling her, she ran towards her next class.

She watched out for everyone she saw, hoping not to meet the angry girl or her subordinates. In fact, that was what she did all day. Till lunch time, when she was finally caught. She ran out of the cafeteria when she saw Sunset Shimmer, only to be caught by Snips and Snails in the hallway.

"Are you brain dead or something? You had one simple job and you couldn't even do that." Fluttershy turned and looked at the other girl before being pushed down. "I thought I made it clear enough, but I guess shy is the same as stupid." She gave her a glare that shot right through the smaller girl.

A smirk came on her face as she noticed how Fluttershy had down pigtails today. "Daw,look at the poor girl. She is actually trying to make herself look cute. Like that can ever happen."

Sunset Shimmer wrapped three of her fingers around Fluttershy's left hair tie as she leaned down to her. "Compared to me, you are nothing." To go along with the venom in her last word, she yanked the hair tie out. A few pink hairs were pulled out as well with a yelp from the yellow skinned girl. The other girl chuckled. The boys laughed too since their queen did.

"Hope you learned your lesson." Sunset walked away with her slave boys.

Fluttershy stayed where she was sitting. She noticed a few people looking at her and most didn't even bother and kept walking. None of them would do anything. They didn't want to end up like her.

That was when she noticed a pink hand offering to help her up. She looked up to see Big Mac. Fluttershy could feel her cheeks getting warm as he helped her up. She could also tell by the look on his face that he wasn't happy with her.

He didn't say anything, but went behind her and fixed her hair. Having two sisters taught him a thing or two about hair. "I told you that you could come to me. Why didn't you tell me?"

Fluttershy shook her head. "It is nothing,Big Mac. I'm fine. I-"

Big Mac covered her mouth with his hand. "If you ain't gonna tell me. At least tell someone. Prinicpa' Celestia or Luna, Nurse Redheart, Cherilee, somethin'." He looked her in the eyes. He always liked the bright blue in her eyes. It reminded him of water.

Fluttershy moved his hand away from her mouth and nodded. "I-I will, but I still want to try to handle things myself. I'm not a little girl anymore." She shyly smiled at him, trying to make him and herself feel better.

Big Mac sighed. "Just needing help doesn't mean doing things alone,Shy." But he knew that she was one that learned from experince, though he didn't want it to go too far before she realized. He decided to change the subject. "You should get your hair out of your face."

He looked at her other hair tie that he took out and noticed a small butterfly on it. He took out a hair clip from his pocket. Mac thanked the fact that his sisters had wild hair and it made him form the habit of carrying a clip just in case. He took the apple off the green hairclip and took the butterfly off the tie. Then he added them together to make a buterfly clip.

Gently, he moved her hair back and clipped it out of her face. "There. That is better." A small smirk came on his face before he walked away.

Fluttershy couldn't help but smile. She was happy to have Big Mac around. He always knew what to do to make her smile.
