Fluttershy needs to make Angel Bunny's breakfast, but is missing one ingredient, she goes out to get it, and meets a stallion, how does she feel about him?
When Fluttershy is making Angel Bunny's breakfast, she has all the ingredients except for one. When she go's out to buy the last ingredient, she comes across a certain red stallion. Fluttershy begins to have feelings for him, but doesn't know if she's ready yet. Will Fluttershy tell the stallion her feelings? Or will she keep them to herself and never let them be heard.
One warm, sunny day, Fluttershy was feeding all of her little animal friends. She was rushing around from here to there feeding them one by one. She fed the birds their seeds and the squirrels and mice their nuts. Once she was done feeding her animals, she wiped some sweat from her face in relief. Fluttershy trotted over to the kitchen and stopped in her tracks only to find a angry and impatient bunny tapping his foot on the ground hard. She looked down and sighed. "Oh, hi Angel Bunny, I um, was just about to come find you," said Fluttershy. Angel still angry and tapping his foot impatiently waited for Fluttershy to make his breakfast.
Fluttershy noticed Angel waiting for her and said,"Oh, im sorry, what would you like?".
Angel stopped his tapping and rushed over to the counter and grabbed a cook book and ran back to Fluttershy. Angel flipped to a page that had his favorite meal in it: Carrot Salad.
Fluttershy saw what Angel wanted and said, "Okay Angel Bunny, i'll be done before you know it." And with that, Fluttershy was off to the kitchen and getting the ingredients ready.
"Okay, let's see what I have, lettuce, check, oranges, check, cucumbers, check, seeds, check, cream cheese, check, cherry, check, and finally, apples, che-," Fluttershy froze.
"Oh, I know I have some apples around here somewhere."
Fluttershy checked the refrigerator first, no apples their. Next, she checked the cabinets, still no apples. After that, she started checking drawers, cuboards, and other things she thought there might be some apples in.
Fluttershy had no luck. She checked everywhere she could and still found no apples. Fluttershy only had one thing to do if she were to have Angel's breakfast complete. So, she grabbed her saddlebag and some bits, and flew over to Angel. Angel looked up at her and saw that there was no breakfast in her hooves prepared for him. Angel looked up her and got angry.
Fluttershy noticed and said, "Im sorry Angel, I have to go to the market and get the last ingredient for your yummy breakfast." Angel, still angry, jumped up ont he couch symboling that he was waiting for her. Of course, Fluttershy noticed that and she told him, " I'll be back before you know it, you be good for mommy okay?
And with that Fluttershy was off to the market.
When Fluttershy arrived at the market, she saw that the sky was getting grey with the rain clouds, so she decided that she should probaly hurry. Fluttershy saw that there was not that many shops still open. Some were packing up, and some were already closed. Fluttershy thought that the shop she wanted to go to was probaly closed, so she would probaly have to go to Sweet Apple Acres to get the apples. But after wandering for a few minutes she found her target. Fluttershy flew over to the market and stopped right in front of it, expecting to see Applejack, but only to find a rather large red stallion packing up.
Fluttershy notcied the packing up and lifted up her right hoof and tapped it on the stallion's shoulder. The stallion noticed and turned around only to be met with a yellow pegasus mare with a pink mane partly hiding one of her eyes. There was a awkward silence between them and than Fluttershy finally spoke up.
" Um, hi, not to be rude or anything, but, where's Applejack?" she asked.
The stallion stared at her than said," Applejack is at the barn helping ma little sister with her chores," the stallion answered.
"Oh, ok," Fluttershy said. Another silence fell between them.
Than the stallion spoke up and said," So would you like anything before ah finish packing up?".
"Oh um, y-yes please." Fluttershy said.
"What kind?" he said." Oh! Um, gala apples please, if you don't mind." Fluttershy said.
" Ah dont mind." he answered.
The stallion turned around and got some gala apples out of a box and handed them to Fluttershy." Your one of Applejack's friends, right?" the stallion suddenly said.
"Oh, um yes." Fluttershy said.
" Then in that case, free of charge." he said.
Fluttershy looked up at him in shock." Oh I can't let you do that," Fluttershy said.
"No friend of ma family is paying in my world," the stallion said.
" Oh, but I insist," Fluttershy said.
" Nnope," he answered.
"Please?" Fluttershy asked.
"Nnope," he answered again.
"Oh, ok, I dont want to argue," Fluttershy said defeated." Fluttershy took the bad of apples and put them in her saddlebag and said," Thank you very much, I am very grateful."
"Mah Pleasure." He said
. Fluttershy started to fly into the air then stopped and turned around and asked,"I almost forgot to ask you, what's your name?"
" Mah name is Big Macintosh, and yours?" He answered.
"Oh my name is Fluttershy," She said. And with that, Fluttershy was off to her cottage to finish Angel's breakfast.
Once Fluttershy got to her cottage, she flew inside and placed the gala apples on the counter and got out all of the ingredients once again. She got out a bowl and started preparing Angel's breakfast. First, she put in the lettuce, then the oranges, than the cucumbers, and then topped that with more lettuce, then a thin, full circle orange slice, than the cream cheese, then she sprinkled on some of the seeds, and then she put some cut up apples around the bottom of the lettuce, and then the finishing touch, the cherry.Once Fluttershy was done making his breakfast, she flew over to where Angel was sitting, and placed the finished breakfast right in front of Angel.
" There you go Angel, your tasty, yummy breakfast is finally ready!" Fluttershy said. She sighed in relief as she was finally done with Angel's breakfast, but, while Angel was eating his yummy breakfast, Fluttershy was thinking of something, or somepony, and that pony was Big Macintosh.
'Oh my goodness! What am I doing? I go and buy some apples, and here i am, thinking about the guy who sold them! Oh why couldn't have been Applejack who was there instead of Big Macintosh?!' Fluttershy thought to herself.
'Oh, but, he was such a gentlecolt and he was just so nice for giving me those apples for free,' Fluttershy thought to herself again.
' I need to repay him for that,' Fluttershy once again thought to herself. Then an idea popped into Fluttershy's head.
"I know! I could maybe take him out for lunch sometime and then that should get him off of my mind." Fluttershy said to herself.
Then Fluttershy froze. She then said to herself, "Oh! But what if he says no?" "What if he doesn't even like me???" Fluttershy asked herself.
"I mean, we met for only a few minutes and all he did was give me a few apples for free, i mean, how could that be such a big deal?" Fluttershy said to herself.
"Oh, of course it's a big deal! He probaly did'n't do that too anypony else who bought apples from him!" Fluttershy argued to herself.
Then Fluttershy noticed that she was just talking to herself and was arguing over whether or not to ask a stallion out to lunch for a way to say 'thank you'. Fluttershy sighed.
"It's just a simple lunch together, why not just take him to that new place that just opened and eat then say goodbye and then leave and go on with our day." Fluttershy asked herself.
Then Fluttershy heard her stomach grumble. She then noticed that she hasn't eaten all day because of all the work she had to do by going to the market to get some apples and make Angel's breakfast.
" I think that i'll get something to eat, then I can decide whether or not I should take him." So then Fluttershy floated over to the kitchen and made herself a sandwich with lettuce and tomato on it, then flew over to the table and started eating. While she ate, Big Macintosh came to her mind again. She thought and thought hard on whether or not she should take him. So she just decided to finish eating before she decides. After she was done, she flew over to her couch and rested. She sighed when she got comfortable. There she was again, thinking about Big Macintosh.
"OH WHY CAN'T I STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM!" Fluttershy said in her loudest voice. All her animals including Angel, stopped what they were doing and looked at her. Fluttershy blushed and said "sorry." Her animals stopped staring at her and proceeded to what they were doing before. Fluttershy sighed and decided it would be best if she asked her friends for advice. So she decided to go to Twilight first. And that she did. Once she got to Twilight's library house, she knocked on the door and waited for somepony to answer. After a few seconds, Spike opened the door and smiled at Fluttershy.
"Oh, hi Fluttershy! Haven't seen you in a while!" Spike greeted her.
"Oh yes, it has been a while since we've seen each other," Fluttershy said. There was a silence that asted about five seconds because Spike said, " So do you wanna come inside?"
"Yes please, that is if you don't mind," Fluttershy said.
"Of course I don't mind! Come on in!" Spike said stepping aside gesturing for Fluttershy to come in.
"Thank you," Fluttershy said.
"No problem," Spike said in response.
As Fluttershy walked in, she saw Twilight sitting on her stomach reading a book. Twilight looked up from her book when she heard Fluttershy's voice. "Oh, hi Fluttershy! I haven't seen you in a while!" Twilight said closing her book.
"Oh, yes hi Twilight, how are you?" Fluttershy asked.
"I'm doing great! And you?" Twilight said.
"I'm fine, i've been going thinking alot today and I wanted to come and talk to you about it, if you don't mind that is," Fluttershy said.
"Oh, is that so?" Twilight said.
"Okay then, tell me, what's on your mind that's so important?" Twilight asked.
Fluttershy sighed.
"Well, it all started when I was feeding my animal friends and then once I was done feeding them it was time for me to feed Angel Bunny, so once Angel showed me what he wanted, I started to prepare his breakfast and I had all the ingredients except for one so I had to go to the market and get some apples and then when I got there, I saw Applejack's brother, Big Macintosh, and then he got me some apples and said that I didn't have to pay for them and then i said that i wanted to but then he declined my offer and told me to take the apples free of charge and than i thanked him and then I asked his name and he told me Big Macintosh and then he asked for mine and i said Futtershy and then i went home and made Angel's breakfast and then i decided that i need to repay Big Macintosh but then i had an arguement with myself and now i cant get him out of my mind so i would appreciate it if you give me some advice on how to thank him."Fluttershy said.
Twilight stared at Fluttershy in shock at how much she had sad in one sentence but quickly shook that thought out of her head and answered Fluttershy.
"Okay, i'll give you some advice, but i have to warn you, i don't know much about romance."
"R-romance?" Fluttershy said.
"Yes, romance. Atleast that's what it sounds like to me. Your acting alot like you like him." Twilight said.
Fluttershy blushed.
"I-i-it's not like I like him or anything it's just that I want to repay him with something for giving me something for free of charge that i should not have deserved." Fluttershy said.
"Okay then. Here's what i've got for you. Well, first you probaly want to,,you know, have a chat with him, and then while your talking, you can say that you want to repay him for giving you those apples for free and that maybe you want to go to lunch or something, that's what I got for you." Twilight said.
"Oh, thank you Twilight, i think i'll try that. Bye and thank you for the advice!" Futtershy said. " It was my pleasure Futtershy, come back anytime!" Twilight said opening her book again and going to the page she left off of.
Fluttershy trotted out the door and headed to Sweet Apple Acres to ask Big Macintosh if he could go to lunch with her... for a 'thank you' of course.
While Fluttershy was walking to Sweet Apple Acres, she noticed the sky getting darker and darker from the rain that was about to come in. So she picked up the pace. But while she was speed walking, she heard a tiny crackle of thunder. Fluttershy heard that and started running a little faster. While she was jogging, she heard the thunder getting louder like rice crispies popping in a bowl, but louder. So she ran even faster. While she was running, the thunder got to the loudest point yet, to the point where it sounded like fireworks popping LOUD in the sky. That made Fluttershy scared and she screamed. She needed to get there before it started raining. She needed to.
But it was to late. It started pouring down rain. She saw lighning strikes hitting the ground and she heard the thunder louder than she had ever heard. Fluttershy had a phobia of loud noises. Fluttershy screamed and she ran. She ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. She had tears streaming down her eyes, but barely noticable in the rain. She screamed, but couldn't be heard over the loud thunder. She was terrified.
When she saw her cottage in view, she ran and ran fast. When she finally got there, she slammed the door open and slammed the door shut and locked it. When she was done locking the door, she turned around a leaned back against it and slid down. She exhaled and was breathing in and out.
Fluttershy was shivering from the coldness of her house, and the coldness from the rain. Her animals noticed that, and quickly went to get her some towels and blankets. When they got back, they quickly went over to Fluttershy and wrapped the towels and blankets around her tiny body. When they were finished, they went back to their homes and proceeded to what they were doing previous. When Fluttershy was comepletly calmed, she wrapped the blankets around her a little bit harder, and got comfortable. Fluttershy sighed. Her heartbeat got slower and she felt a little better.
Fluttershy closed her eyes slowly, and fell into a deep sleep.
Fluttershy woke up from the sound of thunder rumbling. She had forgotten that she had fallen asleep. She sighed and and sat up. Still having the blankets wrapped around her, she slowly got up and went to the kitchen and made herself a little snack. She sat down at her table, still having the blankets around her, and started eating. Like always, Big Macintosh came into her mind. Fluttershy gasped when she realized that she had forgotten that she hadn't asked Big Macintosh about going to lunch with her yet, for a 'thank you'.
She finished her snack and unwrapped the blankets that were around her and placed them back where they were safe inside the closet. Safe. Wish she was safe from all the voices in her head asking her to go and ask Big Mac to lunch with her. She sighed. She noticed it getting dark outside and decided to go to bed and just fall asleep and let all her troubles fade away until morning came. She wished morning would never come. How did she feel about Big Mac? Did she really like him?
Nah.
So Fluttershy when upstairs to her bedroom and tucked herself in and just fell asleep. But she had a hard time falling asleep. The voices were back in her head telling her to get up out of bed and go to Big Mac and ask to lunch. But Fluttershy refused and shut her eyes tightly and tried to fall asleep. After about ten minutes of rolling around in her bed trying to go to sleep, she finally fell into another deep sleep.
Fluttershy awoke from her sleep. She had a rough night. She squinted from the brightness of the sun coming from her window. Once she adjusted to the light, she sat up. She stretched and yawned. Slowly getting out of her bed, she headed to the mirror and grabbed her brush and started brushing her hair. She brushed out all the tangles and set her brush down. She made her way downstairs and saw all her animals awake. They were cleaning up the house a little bit. Fluttershy smiled seeing all her animal friends helping each other clean her cottage. All her animals stopped when they saw their shy onwer standing at the bottom of the staircase.
"Hello my litle friends, thank you for cleaning up my cottage! That was very generous of you guys. You guys must be hungry, let me get you something to eat," Fluttershy said to her animals.
All her animals cheered.
Fluttershy made her way to the kitchen. She got out nuts and salads and placed them by her animals. Once they saw the food, they dug in. She smiled seeing all her animal friends satisfied with what they were eating. Well, almost all her animal friends : Angel. She looked down and saw Angel Bunny waiting impatiently for his breakfast.
She sighed and asked him, "Angel! I didn't see you there, what would you like for breakfast?"
Angel ran over to the kitchen and grabbed a cookbook and ran back over to his owner. Fluttershy widened her eyes when she saw what Angel wanted: Carrot salad.
"Oh no, Angel! I'm sorry but I really don't go over that whole breakfast thing again.Why don't you pick something else to eat? She politley asked her bunny.
Angel shook his head and pointed directly what he wanted and that was carrot salad. She shook her head again and said, "There must be something else you want other than carrot salad!! Wouldn't you want something else like some yummy, cucumbers!"
Angel thought about it for moment, then shrugged. In a rush, he threw the cookbook to the side and waited for his owner to give him his cucumber breakfast.
Fluttershy smiled and walked to the kitchen. She got out some fresh cucumbers and put them in a bowl before adding a little bit of water on them. Once they were all moist, she took the pieces out of the bowl, and cut them up into circles. Finished, she replaced them into the bowl and served it to her waiting bunny.
Angel looked down at his breakfast and nodded, then immediately chowed down. Fluttershy grinned, knowing he enjoyed it and that she didn't have to go through the whole apple thing again.
She quielty watched all her animals munch on their breakfast. Then she though about Big Mac. She wondered if she should ask him to lunch. She nodded to herself and decided she would go and ask him when her animals were finished eating. She patiently waited for her animal friends to finish. Once they were finished eating, Fluttershy cleaned up their bowls and started heading out and told Angel to behave and started for Sweet Apple Acres.
While Fluttershy headed to Sweet Apple Acres to ask Big Mac to lunch to say thank you, she came across the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
"Howdy Fluttershy!" Applebloom said to the yellow pegasus.
"Hey Fluttershy!" Scootaloo said.
Hello Fluttershy!" Sweetiebelle said.
"Oh! Hello Cutie Mark Crusaders! How are you girls?" The shy pegasus said to the three fillies.
"Were great! We were about to go our clubhouse to try an' plan out what to do next to try an' get our cutie marks!" Applebloom said cheerfully.
"Where were you heading?" Sweetiebelle asked.
"Oh! I was um, about to go to Sweet Apple Acres to ask Applejack something," Fluttershy said to the fillies.
"Ok! Well, we better get goin', come on cutie mark crusaders!" Applebloom said to the pegasus and the other two fillies and took off.
"Bye!" Fluttershy waved goodbye to the three cheerfull ponies and started walking again.
Once she made it to her destination, she started walking towards the barn when all of a sudden she heard a really loud noise and turned to where she heard it and heard somepony yell, "Look out!" and she looked up and saw huge red apples falling down on her and the last thing she saw was a large red stallion running to her before everything went black.
Fluttershy woke up. She was unaware of her surroundings. Then she realized, she was in a hospital. Slowly, she sat up and fell back down with a sharp pain in her head. She heard voices drawing closer to her.
"Who-who's there?" She said hiding her head in the hospital blanket.
She heard a soft voice say,"It's ok, it's just me, your doctor." Fluttershy peeked her head out of the blanket and sighed.
"Oh thank goodness! I thought you were a- how long have I been here?" Fluttershy questioned.
"One whole week, you've been asleep the whole time," The doctor said. "What happened to me?"
"Well, it appears you got knocked out by...apples and have been asleep up until now," He said to her.
"Oh......," Fluttershy mumbled.
"Well, I must go now, but you do have visitors," The doctor said. Fluttershy's eyes widened.
"Oh ok, may I please have my first visitor Doctor......?" She questioned.
"Scott, and yes you may," Dr.Scott said.
"Thank you," Fluttershy said. He nodded and walked out and not that many seconds later a pink pony came barging in.
"FLUTTERSHY!!! OMIGOSH YOUR AWAKE!! I THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER WAKE UP!! ITS BEEN A WHOLE SEVEN DAYS!! A WEEK!! THAT'S SUCH A LONG TIME TO NOT GET TO TALK OR SEE YOU!!" Pinkie Pie said in one breath. Fluttershy smiled.
"Hello Pinkie Pie, yes, I know, it has been a while, hasn't it?" Fluttershy said to the pink party pony.
"Yes! A VEERRRYYY long while!! Everypony has waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for you to wake up!! But it's only me, Applejack, and Big Mac here today since Twilight is in Canterlot fulfilling her princess duties and Rarity is also in Canterlot at another one of Fancypant's parties and Rainbow is at another Wonderbolt Academy so therefore it's only me, Applejack and Big Mac!!" Pinkie explained.
"Oh, well, I hope their having fun there and- wait Big Mac is here?!?" The shy pony said. Pinkie nodded.
Then Dr. Scott came in.
"Your time is up, Miss Pinkie Pie, another visistor is waiting to talk to Miss Fluttershy here, so i'm afraid you must go."
"Oh ok, bye Fluttershy!" Pinkie said, giving Fluttershy a big hug."Goodbye Pinkie Pie."
Pinkie smiled and left the room. An orange pony then came in.
"Howdy, Fluttershy, it's been a while," Applejack said grinning."Hello Applejack, nice to see you again."Applejck nodded.
"Are y'all feeling ok? You've been out for quite some time now," Applejack said.
"Yes, i'm ok now, atleast, all I remember is something hard falling on me and a pony running towards me," Fluttershy said.
"Oh, right, my brother actually brought y'all here."
"Really? Well, tell him I said thank you." Then Fluttershy remembered. The lunch. The thank you. She never asked him.
"How about y'all tell him yourself," Applejack said.
"Well, I was but then I ended up here instead," Fluttershy said, frowning."I was going to take him out to lunch to tell him thank you but I guess it never worked out."
"Well, now's your chance," Applejack said.
"Alright, times up, it's time for the last visitor," Dr. S said. Applejack embraced Fluttershy with a warm hug.
"Good luck, Fluttershy," AJ whispered.
"Thank you," Fluttershy whispered back, smiling.
Applejack nodded then walked out. A large red stallion appeared in AJ's place. Fluttershy's heart started to race.
"Uh, howdy Miss Fluttershy," Big Macintosh said."Hello......"
An awkward silence went between them. Then Big Mac spoke up,"Um, i'm sorry, for uh, what ah did, ah wasn't lookin', will y'all forgive me, please?
Fluttershy smiled.
"Of course, and it wasn't your fault, you didn't know that I was there," She said.
Big Mac smiled.
"Thank you," He said.
"No, thank you, for bringing me here I mean, you saved me, thank you," She said, smiling at Big Mac making him blush a little. He nodded.
"But I do have one question," Fluttershy said.
"Oh? Tell me," He said.
"Go out to lunch with me? I mean for a thank you, but I understand completley if you don-" Fluttershy got cut off.
