Meeting Screw Loose

View Online

It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. The birds were chirping, fillies were playing, the sun was shining, a perfect day for a walk. Which is why Pinkie Pie was bouncing happily in the park.

She had just stopped to sniff a flower when she noticed a blue pony in front of her. Her white mane was tangled, and her eyes were bloodshot, yet she was panting happily as a dog would. She was covered in bruises and scars, mostly on her sides and her back.

"Oh, hi there." Pinkie Pie smiled at her. "My names Pinkie Pie. What's yours?"

The pony merely barked happily at her, wagging her tail, ready to play.

"Umm..." Pinkie grabbed the pony's collar and looked at the tag. "Screw Loose." She read.

The pony barked at the sound of her name and licked Pinkie on the cheek.

Pinkie chuckled and wiped the drool off of her. Then she remembered seeing the pony before when Rainbow Dash stole a book from the Ponyville Hospital. "Hey, you're that pony that thinks....." Pinkie trailed off when she realized that pony thought she was a dog. Pinkie smiled at Screw Loose, then went over to a tree and retrieved a tennis ball.

"Hey Screw, do want to play fetching?" Pinkie asked excitedly. The strange mare nodded excitedly and her mouth drooled at the sight of the ball. "Okay! Fetch!" With that Pinkie through the ball, then waited for the pony to come back.

Screw Loose arrived a few seconds later, and dropped the ball before her new friend. She wagged her tail, waiting for the ball to be thrown again.

Pinkie threw the ball, and Screw chased after it. This continued for sometime, as it seemed Screw had eternal energy. Pinkie Pie was getting tired, she felt like ending the game. But everytime she saw Screw's happy face (with a mixture of crazy) she would throw the ball again with a tired smile.

Finally, while Screw Loose was supposed to be retrieving the ball, Pinkie heard a voice from a distance, in the direction that the pony/dog had gone.

"There you are mutt." She heard the voice say. "You got out again."

Pinkie ran over and saw that it had come from Nurse Redheart, who had Screw on a leash and dragging her away. Instead of her happy doggy grin, Screw Loose was growling and pulling fiercly at the leash, trying to get away. She had a muzzle on her.

"Hey Nurse Redheart," Pinkie said as she walked in front of the grumpy nurse. "Can Screw Loose and I finish our game of fetch?"

The nurse frowned angrily at her. "So you think she's a dog too eh? Stay away from her she's dangerous." She replied as walked around Pinkie. The pink zipped in front of her again.

"No she's not, I bet if you loosen that collar and don't pull so hard on that leash, oh and take the muzzle off, I'm sure she would be nicer to you." Pinkie said.

The nurse rolled her eyes and suddenly shoved a Pinkie out of the way.

"Trust me kid, it's a strange world out there. You should be glad you didn't get rabies from this monster." With that the nurse dragged away Screw Loose, who continued to pull at the leash. Pinkie met with her eyes, and saw that the blue ponies were full of. Fear. Screw whined as she was taken away, leaving a confused and sad party pony alone.

.......

Pinkie was now inside the Ponyville's hospital. She rang the bell at the reception desk and waited for somepony to greet her.

It had been a few days since she had seen Screw Loose, and something didn't feel right.

Except for Pinkie herself, the waiting room was empty. The entire hospital was silent, as it was holding its breathe, waiting for its visitor to leave.

There were signs engraved to the wall. They read the usual emergency rooms, and cancer pacients, with arrows pointing to where they were. But there was one sign that Pinkie didn't understand. It was a single arrow pointing right, then it went left. Somepony had tried to scrape it off, unsuccessfully, as if they wanted to hide it.

The hospital building was old, and the princesses had forbidden any pony to take down buildings or sections of one, for they wanted to keep the town just how it was.

"Can I help you miss?" A happy pony said.

Pinkie quickly turned her head away from the sign and looked at the happy worker. She was blonde with blue eyes and a bright, shiny, fake, smile.

"Oh yes. Umm...I'd like to see my friend Screw Loose. I was just wondering if she was doing okay." Pinkie answered.

She thought she saw the blonde pony's smile vanish, but then she was smiling once again.

"I'm afraid we have no Screw Loose here." She said in a fake silly voice.

"But I just saw her a few days ago. She has to be here, there are no other hospitals around here until Fillydelphia." Pinkie frowned at receptionist.

"Sorry, no Screw Loose here." The blonde replied again.

Pinkie narrowed her eyes for a split second, then suddenly smiled. "Heheh, silly me. I must have imagined her. You know me, silly old Pinkie Pie." Pinkie shrugged at her sheepishly. "Sorry about that. Have a nice day!" She called as she walked out of the door.

"You too!" The blonde waved.
......
"But it was so weird. I swear she was real." Pinkie told her friends.

They were all at a picnic in the park, listening to Pinkie as she told them what had happened. She had been walking back and forth anxiously, looking up every now and then to make sure they were listening.

"I don't know Pinkie, I don't remember any 'Screw Loose' or barking pony." Twilight told her.

"That's because you don't know everypony in Ponyville." Pinkie insisted.

"She has a point Twilight," said Rainbow Dash. "But I think I would remember a pony who think she's a dog."

"And why would they just say that she was on a walk or something?" Fluttershy asked.

"Wasn't she on one when ya met 'er?" Applejack added.

Pinkie shook her head. "She escaped from the hospital. She wouldn't let her out again." She explained.

"Maybe you're just imagining things." Twilight said.

"Maybe...." Pinkie said and took a bite of her sandwhich. While the others chattered away, she kept thinking about Screw Loose.

How Scary Can a Hospital Basement Can Be?

View Online

It was nearly midnight, and everypony had gone to bed. Except for a certain pink pony.

Pinkie was standing behind a tree in a ninja suit. She looked behind her back at the hospital, which had closed for the night.

"I have to make sure." She whispered. She placed the mask on her head, then tiptoed over to the building.

She found an open window. She crawled inside and found herself in a room with two ponies in full body casts. She tiptoed into the hallway. Using the moonlight, she saw the visit room right down the hall. She walked over to it and peeked at the signs. She spotted the strange arrow.

"Right and left." She whispered. She followed the directions and found herself in front of the hospital's basement door.

KEEP OUT! The sign on it said. But this was where Screw Loose was. Pinkie knew it.

She tried the door handle, and found that there were four more locks on the door. All were locked tight.

"I knew I'd need this some day." Pinkie said as she dug through her mane and pulled out a skeleton key. She quickly unlocked the doors and crept downstairs. She came to another door, quickly unlocked it too, and the door slowly opened. Immediately the hallway gave a whole new feeling. Fear.

Pinkie could hear screams behind the doors before her. She fearfully went down the hallway and looked through the different doors. Each one had a tiny window.

The first one was a normal door, which had needles, medicines and different types of pills. The second was a white door. When Pinkie peeked inside, she saw it was padded. A very miserable Derpy was chained up to a chair in the middle of the room. Then nailed down chair was surrounded by mirrors, angled so that the pegasus could see only her face.

"I just don't know went wrong Doctor. I don't know anymore..." She said as tears streamed down her face.

"Derpy?" Pinkie said. The mare had been missing for months. "Derpy! It's me Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie cried and tried to get her attention. But the mare did not hear her, for the door was sound proof so that one could only hear from the outside. "Oh...Derpy...." Pinkie said sadly.

Pinkie hung her head and continued to the next door, which was also padded. Inside was a pink earth pony with swirly white and purple hair. Her pupils were also purple, and seemed as if she was hypnotized. She had a propeller cap on, and was floating around the padded room. A nurse was constantly dragging the pony down by the leg, so that the strange mare would land violently on the floor. It looked like it hurt, even if the room was padded.

"Get down here stupid ass Screwball, I have to put in your jacket!" The nurse said angrily as she would pull down Screwball again and try to get her into the straight jacket. Screwball would only frown in worry and confusion as she would escape from the nurse's hooves. It was obvious that Screwball wanted to be free.

The next room had Screw Loose in it. She whimpered as a nurse whipped her.

"You stupid mutt!" The nurse shouted. "This is what you get!" She shouted with another whip. Screw Loose whimpered and tried to crawl away.

Pinkie couldn't bare to watch, so she moved to the next door. To her surprise, Princess Luna was in there. The door was a dark black, and inside was the Princess chained up. A metal cage was surrounding her horn, preventing her from doing any magic, and her wings were tied down. It was a dungeon. Her eyes were glazed with fear. The two ponies's eyes met, but the princess said nothing. She merely looked away as if she was pretending Pinkie wasn't there.

Pinkie herself felt like crying. "I'm sorry Luna." She whimpered, knowing the princess could not hear her.

Pinkie turned her head to look at the next door. She realized the screaming was coming from inside it. The door was made out of entirely metal, yet there were dents in it.

"SOMEPONY HELP ME! PLEASE! SOMEPONY! ANYPONY! PLEASE! I WANT TO GO HOME!! I'LL BE GOOD!!! I PROMISE!" The voice screamed as there was pounding from inside of the door. Whoever it was, was very strong, for there were more dents as it pounded the door.

As Pinkie neared the door, the screaming stopped. Pinkie hesitated for a moment, trying to imagine the monster behind the door. Then she swallowed and slowly peered inside the window, as if she was in a horror movie. There was nothing inside the room, besides more dents on the walls.

Then a pair of angry red eyes.

Pinkie screamed. The pair of eyes looked angrily at her, as if wanting to kill her, then Pinkie realized that they were behind the door. The monster pounded the door again, more violently this time, and Pinkie started shrieking again.

But her screaming was cut short as a hoof wrapped around her mouth.

Where Am I?

"Has anypony seen Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow Dash asked the others. Pinkie had been missing since the picnic they had in the park, which was a week ago.

Her friends shook their heads.

"This is so weird, Pinkie never goes anywhere without telling us. She would never disappear." Rainbow Dash said worriedly.
.......
Pinkie opened her eyes slowly.

"Ugh where am I?" The mare lifted her head sleepily and rubbed her eyes. She blinked at the clean, white, padded walls. "What?" She said in shock, realizing where she was. "Nononono!"

She quickly ran to the door, which was padded on the inside. "LETMEOUTLETMEOUTLETMEOUT!" She screamed and started banging on the door. "I'M NOT CRAZY! LET ME OUT!" She realized that she sounded like she was throwing a tantrum, but she didn't care. "LET ME OUT! TWILIGHT?" Pinkie called for her friends, her voice growing quieter with each name. "Fluttershy? Applejack? Rarity?" Pinkie sank down to the floor and started crying. "Dashie? Anypony? Are you there?"

The mare's hair had gone completely straight and her coat had gone a bit grey, turning herself into Pinkamena. She continued to cry until she fell asleep.

A Taste of Blood, Freedom, and Food

A ringing bell woke Pinkie Pie up. It sounded like a school bell.

Pinkie rubbed her eyes. She noticed that as the bell rang, her door automatically opened. She stuck her head outside, and found that the others were walking outside of their rooms. Their ears flattened and they looked around hurriedly.

"C'mon freak, hurry up!" Barked a guard next to Pinkie. He unexpectedly kicked her in the side of her stomach. Pinkie groaned and held her hoof to her stomach, and she slowly limped to the same room where the others were heading.

Luna still had her wings tied and the metal cage around her horn.

Screw Ball was tied with ropes around her as she tried to fly, guards and nurses trying to keep her down.

Whoever was in the metal door had not come out, for it had not been opened.

Screw Loose was tugging and growling at her leash. Pinkie felt a deep connection with the pony. She wanted to help her escape, so that they could be free to play together. Pinkie felt a strange desire to hug Screw Loose, to scratch her behind the ears.

Great, Pinkie thought to herself, now I’m starting think she’s a dog.

Pinkie shook her head, only Derpy and her seemed unguarded. The pink pony made her way beside the grey pegasus, who looked miserable.

"Psst, Derpy it's me Pinkie Pie." Pinkie whispered to her.

"Is there something with my eyes?" Derpy suddenly asked Pinkie.

"What? No there's nothing wrong with them. Er, where are we going?" Pinkie said nervously trying to change the subject. Too many times Derpy had been told she was different, she didn't need it anymore from Pinkie.

"To our meal. I'm not sure which one anymore. There's no clocks or windows besides the ones on our doors." Derpy answered. "As one of the Insane, that's what they call us, you uh, never....can see the outside.”

Pinkie frowned and nodded, then glanced back at the metal door. It was silent, the red eyes nowhere to be seen.

"Mind Twist is in there," Derpy said to Pinkie, following her gaze. "Don't ever talk to her or anything."

"Why?"

"I don't know the entire story, but Screwball told me that she wandered in here, like you, but trying to find her parents. Her parents were both in an accident when she was a little filly, and she had no one else to take care of her. So she kinda lived at the hospital for a while, waiting for them to get better. The hospital wouldn't let het go home for some reason. So when her parents died, she didn't know where they went, no pony had told her, so she went looking for them. Then she found this place and they took her...here. " Derpy shivered. "So they kept her in that room for her entire life. They gave her some weird shot that made her very strong, who knows why. She...wasn't right the day her parents were in the accident. Something snapped inside that mare...and she hasn't been right since. Always angry and trying to escape. Even Princess Luna stays out of her way. Mind Twist, Screwball, and Screw Loose are the few that were the first ones here. They are the only ones who know what happened to the others."

They entered a small cafeteria. They each grabbed a tray and stood in line to get food. They were given a pile of mish mashed food and sat down at a table. Derpy and Pinkie sat together, Screw Ball and Screw Loose at another table. Princess Luna sat alone at a corner table.

"Others?" Pinkie asked.

"I don't know much about them. Not many were cured, they all either were unfortunate to find this place or have something....off about them." Derpy said. "There was one pony. He was even worse than Mind Twist. He loved...blood." Derpy shivered again. "He was obsessed with it. He wouldn't eat any of the cafeteria food, so the hospital had to give him the donated blood at the blood drive they had once a month.” Derpy explained.

Screwball heard what they were talking about, and came over, Screw Loose following her.

“It wasn't enough for him. So he started killing nurses and guards, soaking his entire body in it. He ate it and sniffed it and would sometimes grab a knife and cut himself so that he could mix his blood with theirs. It was sick! No pony was allowed inside. Not even the guards. Yet somehow he always managed to trap one inside his room. I hated that room, dry blood was covered on the walls and corpses of his kills were in the corner. The staff could do nothing about it, for they were too afraid." Screwball continued the story.

Derpy stared at her food, then raised her head at Pinkie.

"All of us want a taste of freedom, but that was a pony who should never be free." She looked at her food again. "One day, he started cutting himself to shreds, licking his blood. After an hour, he was dead." Derpy finished.

The Mare Behind the Metal Door

Pinkie felt ready to throw up. She looked away, trying to hide her face from the others. She rushed outside the cafeteria with a garbage can in hoof. When she finished, she still felt a little qeezy. She looked at a mirror and found she looked a little green. But soon she felt fine, and slowly walked back to the cafeteria. Her stomach hurt from where the guard had kicked her earlier.

Pinkie looked up and saw that two guards had followed her. They were now walking up to her, and Pinkie's eye's went small. She quickly zipped to the cafeteria's open doors. She leaned againt the doorway frame, holding her stomach as it continued to ache. As she went back to her seat, she saw that Princess Luna was sitting alone, picking at her food quietly. The others, who noticed her coming towards her, followed her gaze.

"Poor Princess, her sister was worried that she needed help with controlling Nightmare Moon, so she was sent here. Little did they know what this place is like. Ever since she came here, she's always wanting to be alone. She's so quiet all the time." Screwball sighed sadly. “I don’t think she realizes that Celestia has no idea what they do to us here.”

Screw Loose barked in agreement.

Pinkie cleared her throat, trying to find a different subject to talk about. She was suddenly very frightened, and couldn’t seem to think straight.

"So...why are you here?" Pinkie she asked Derpy. Immediately she covered her mouth with her hooves as she just realized what she had said.

Good going, now you made Derpy feel bad about herself. It’s not her fault she’s here. Why can’t the rest of Ponyville realize that? PInkie asked herself angrily.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm stupid, and clumsy, and I have eye problems." Derpy explained sadly.

See? Now she going to feel like that for the rest of the day, maybe the entire week, or the whole month!!

Be quiet you!! Pinkie argued with herself. Wait, what’s that noise?

Pinkie pricked her ears. There was a booming sound from something metal, like something was pounding on it, but it was louder.

"I bet the Doctor doesn't even care about me." Derpy continued.

BOOM!

There it was again.

"Who?" Screwball raised her eyebrows in confusion.

BOOM!

It was louder this time.

"No, just the Doctor," Derpy answered sadly. "Not many know him."

"But-"

BANG!

Pinkie was interrupted by a large bang of metal smashing against something. Immediately an alarm went of with red flashing lights. A black blur suddenly flew over their heads, trying to find a way out.

"Oh no, it's her." Depry covered her head with her hooves. "Mind Twist." She told Pinkie worriedly.

Screwball gave them all worried frown, and flew away to another table. Screw Loose whimpered and froze in place for a moment. Pinkie was about to put a comforting hoof around her shoulder when Screw Loose scrambled away. She went to the farthest table and crouched underneath it.

The blur continued to buzz around the room. It was going so fast that one could not even tell it was a pony. Finally it stopped in midair when it saw Pinkie Pie.

Mind Twist was a jet black pegasus with blue and green uncombed hair and no cutie mark. She looked at everyone with her bright red glowing eyes.

She flew violently down to Pinkie Pie's table, nearly splitting it into two.

"YOU!" She yelled to Pinkie Pie. "New girl! You have to get me out! I have to find them! Are they out there?" She rambled.

"Who?" Pinkie asked nervously.

"My parents! I have to find them! I have to show them that I was a good girl. I'm a good girl!" Mind Twist's ears were flopping as she hit the table violently. "They locked me up here! They think I've been a bad girl but no I'm good! I'M A GOOD GIRL RIGHT?! I-I have to see them!" Her eyes darted back and forth, as if searching for her parents.

Just then a group of guards dragged her away. They struggled as the pegasus kicked and screamed.

"NO! I WANT TO SEE THEM! LETMEGOLETMEGOLETMEGO! NO STOP IT! Mind Twist echoed through the halls as she was being dragged away.

Pinkie shivered as the eerie voice shouted “I PROMISE I'LL BE GOOD!"

There was the slam of the door being closed, then muffled screaming as Mind Twist began pounding on the door again.

Everyone, who had watched the scene quietly, shifted uncomfortably then stared at their food.

"Oh, I see." Pinkie said quietly turning back to the grey pegasus.

"Yeah, it's that bad." Derpy replied.

Then there was a buzz and everyone started dumping their food.

"Alright weirdos, get back to your rooms. Lunch was cut early today because of our little.....tantrum." A harsh voice said through a speaker.

They went back to their rooms quietly. Derpy sat in her chair sadly as the guards tied her up. Screwball went back to her room right before she tossed a dog toy into Screw Loose's room. Luna paused to look sadly at Pinkie Pie, then went to her room.

Before entering her own room, Pinkie looked at Mind Twist's door. It was a new metal door, for she had broken the other one, yet still had small dents as she continued to scream and pound at the door.

Is that going to me one day if I don't get out of here? Pinkie thought to herself.

Where is That Party Pony?

View Online

The rest of the Mane Six were worried now. They had begun searching about a month ago. They had searched all of Ponyville, ran through the Everfree Forest a few times and had asked the train station staff. They had even put up posters about the missing pony.

They were now meeting at the park, chattering worriedly about where she could be, planning more search parties.

As they were talking, they hadn't noticed the stallion walking up to them. He was a tan earth pony with a spikey dark brown mane and a timer as his cutie mark. It was The Doctor himself.

As he walked up to the group, they turned and saw him.

"Doctor Whooves! Have you seen Pinkie Pie anywhere?" Rainbow Dash asked him.

"No, but I have an idea where she might be." He replied calmly.
.....
When the timelord was done explaining about the Mentally Unstable Wing of the hospital, the group gasped.

"You mean Pinkie could be locked away getting tortured right now in some padded room of the Ponyville Hospital?" Rarity exclaimed in fright. The others shared her same expression.

"And Derpy might be down there too. But before jump to any conclusions, was Pinkie acting strange or talk about the hospital at all." Doctor asked them.

"She did. She told us about she met Screw Loose, and then a nurse took her away. Then Pinkie went to the hospital and they said Screw Loose didn't even exist." Fluttershy said quietly.

"Well, they probably thought she knew too much, so they put her in there along with the others." Doctor said.

"We have to save her!" Rainbow Dash announced.

"And we will tonight." The timelord replied.

Giving Up You 1/2

It had been a month.

A month that felt like years.

Years of beating.

Years of slop to eat.

Years of mental torture.

Pinkie was now convinced that she would never leave the Mentally Unstable. She had tried escape a few times, once even coming to the black door in front of the basement stairs.

But every time she had been caught and punished. For escaping, for failing to escape, for being stupid, for having the idea, for even living in the first place. She now knew why Mind Twist had became so violent.

She was fighting.

Fighting back at the guards, fighting the demons in her mind. Pinkie Pie wasn't sure what kept the black pegasus going. Whether it was for the taste of freedom or the thought of her parents welcoming her home.

Too Pinkie it didn't matter anymore. She had given up on everything. She had given up on her friends rescuing her, or anyone for that matter. She gave up on Princess Celestia and who ever Doctor Whooves was. Derpy talked about him occasionally.

Now she was covered with scars and bruises, like the rest of the Insane of the Wing. They would punish the patients most of the time for no reason, saying that if they can't fight things mentally, they should be able to physically. But the only ponies who Pinkie had seen fought back were Mind Twist and Luna.

Mind Twist would somehow catch the end of the rope in her hoof, then would either whip the guard or tie him up. Then she would slam whoever it was into the metal walls violently as they helplessly screamed. The sounds could be heard throughout the Wing.

Princess Luna had stopped cowering when being tortured, and had now began wrestling the guard or nurse. When it was time for her medicine, the Princess would throw the needle at the padded wall, so that it would stick to it or make a rip. She would grab either the guard or the nurse and try to strangle them. Usually, before they are purple, more guards would rush in and try to separate them. Only once did they fail, and by then they were too late.

Even Derpy had once broken one or two of her mirrors a few times and she would reach out and kick them, often unsuccessful due to that she was tied to a chair with chains.

Everyday it was the same schedule. Sleep for a few hours, then eat food. Then go back into the room. Then you would get some exercise by running laps around the cafeteria. If you did not do a specific amount of laps, you were punished. Then another meal, back to your room for a few hours, then a small meal. Then it was back to sleep.

Occasionally, you would help someone to escape, often it was Mind Twist, who would always somehow break out of her room.

The amount of strength and determination she had received from a pill they had given her as a filly was frightening. But the unicorns of the staff would use their magic to replace the broken metal doors instantly. They complained about this, saying a stronger door was never in the budget. Pinkie rolled her eyes at this.

Often Pinkie would either sleep or just remember her life in Ponyville. There was nothing else to do, so you could only think or sleep.

By now Pinkie had bonded with the Insane in the Wing. At lunch everypony, (Luna and Mind Twist would occasionally join them) would sit at the same table, talking sadly about their old life and how much they missed everypony. Poor Screw Loose could only listen and bark, for the pony still thought she was a dog.

Pinkie still had the same desire about her friend. She still wanted to hug the dog like pony.

By now Pinkie realized that Screw Loose had some pony left in her. Occasionally Pinkie would find her friend arguing with someone. It took Pinkie to a while for her to realize Screw Loose was arguing with herself. It seemed that Screw Loose shared two minds, one of the Dog and the other the mare that must have been. And it seemed that it was the Mare that Pinkie had fell for.

She can’t be cured. Pinkie would tell herself. You only have the Dog. Maybe one day she’ll be mine, even if I had keep her as a pet. Atleast she would have a family. I would take care of her, and she would be best friends with Gummy.

Now as Pinkie slept, she was dreaming about her old life in Ponyville. How she was always random and funny, and how everypony laughed with her at her parties. Or was laughing at her? She often did some strange things at her parties to make her friends laugh. But what were they laughing at? Her? Or the fact that she was doing something silly?

It didn't matter now, for she woke up. She rubbed her eyes. She had no idea what time it was, but it had to be night since she saw that the nurses had gone home and only a few guards outside the hall.

But wait! What was that? Pinkie had seen something, or somepony out of place. It was a tan stallion with what looked like a magic wand or something in his mouth. Following him were...her friends! Pinkie normally would have jumping up and down, but now she wondered if this was some sort of prank. The guards often teased them, saying they really were normal ponies only to laugh at the gleeful looks.

No, it had to be them. Yes, it was, and they seemed to be looking through the doors of the other patients. They were looking for her. Pinkie began shouting, trying to get their attention.

Rainbow Dash heard her yells, and went over to Pinkie's room.

"Dashie is it really you?" Pinkie asked her pegasus friend.

Rainbow Dash said something Pinkie could not hear.

"Dash, I can't hear you. It’s the soundproof glass." Pinkie explained.

Rainbow nodded and then waved her hoof at the stallion, who came over immediately. He stuck his magic wand near the lock, making the tip of it a bright blue. The door opened and Pinkie jumped out giving Rainbow Dash a huge hug.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Pinkie said over and over. Rainbow Dash blushed, but let her friend let her hug for a bit longer, then gently pushed her off.

Rainbow Dash looked at the greyish pink mare. Her mane was still flat and she was covered in scars and bruises and her eyes looked tired, yet inside Rainbow knew that she had her friend back.

"Good ta see ya Pinks."she said with a huge grin.

Pinkie suddenly looked around and saw no guards. "Where are the guards?" She asked.

"Oh, I stuffed them in that room over there." The Doctor pointed to a spare room. They could see guards pounding on the door, trying to escape.

"Let's unlock the others." Twilight said. The Doctor walked over to Derpy's room. He unlocked it with the Sonic Screwdriver. As the door opened, Depry looked up at them fearfully. When she saw the Doctor, her face lit up. He immediately rushed over and began unlocking her chains.

"Let's get you out of here." He said to her as she pulled the chains off.

Soon Screwball and Screw Loose were free, and the group was now unlocking Princess Luna's room. When the door opened, Luna raised her head and gave them all a sad smile. She was hesitant to come out, peeking her head to check for any guards. When she saw none, she slowly stepped out. Her wings were untied and the metal cage was lifted off her horn.

"Thank you my little ponies. You have no idea how much freedom means to us right now." She told them. They could only stare at the princess, whose eyes were filled with tears of joy. They seemed to have a hard time processing the fact that Luna had scars on her sides and on her back and the bruises on her face, along with the rest of her body.

When they came to Mind Twist's door, they became hesitant when they saw the damage on the metal.

They turned to the Insane, who nodded. The Doctor went up to the door and unlocked. It swung open slowly, revealing a black pegasus. She was sitting in the middle of the room crying, her back towards the group. She turned her head to look at them, her eyes bright with fear. But once she realized they were any of the hospital staff, her eyes softened a bit and she gave them a small smile.

The Mayor's Report

View Online

The Mentally Unstable Wing of the Ponyville Hospital has been shut down due to the tortured patients, horrid food, and no therapy what so ever, which included the Princess of the Night herself.

The rest of the hospital continues in business, but had to have a complete replacement staff, due to the secrets of the Wing. The original staff is now waiting to be judged by Princess Celestia, Princess Cadence, Princess Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor of Equestria. We are still deciding if Princess Luna shall join the rest of the royals as a judge.

Although the Wing was in the hospital's basement, it was once an actual part of the Hostipal, using it to care for the Insane with kindness, giving them therapy and healthy food.

The knowledge of Derpy Whooves's whereabouts are unknown, only to have gone with a mysterious stallion in a police call box. The police call box is nowhere to be found.

Pinkamena Pie, otherwise known as Pinkie Pie, has willingly taken Screw Loose into her home, welcoming the new 'dog' to the Cake family.

"If she believes she is a dog, that's okey dokey with me. I will love her no matter who she is." Pinkie Pie's answer to our questioning of Screw Loose.

The pink mare has taken a fonding of Screw Loose, who is now taken on walks and fed properly.

Screwball has become dear friends with Discord, who is still reformed. Screwball has also agreed to stop by Sugarcube Corner to watch Screw Loose while Pinkie and the Cake family are at work. Screw Loose and Screwball get along very well, due to their time together in the Mentally Unstable Wing.

Our dear Princess Luna is seeking advice from her sister as we speak, wanting to get rid of the inner Nightmare Moon. She seems to be doing well and lively, no longer the sad quiet mare she was once in the Wing. She had once blamed her sister for the presence of her at the Wing, but seems to have forget about her troubles. I am sitting before the two sisters, who are chatting away happily, telling jokes and eating cake and cookies with their tea.

Mind Twist is now being treated in therapy. Surprisingly, she is doing very well and only has sudden, violent outbursts occasionally. She will continue the therapy until her outbursts are stopped. She has been asking of her parent's whereabouts lately. We are still deciding when and how to tell her of her parent's death. She seems to have no memory of their tragic accident, only to think that they are out there somewhere, waiting for her to come home.

End of report.

PREVIEW of Mind Twist: The First of the Insane

View Online

Suddenly, Mind Twist found herself inside the Ponyville Hospital. She had arrived at the waiting room, which was empty besides her.

Mind Twist looked around and realized she was alone. The bright sun was seeping through the windows, yet something did not feel right.

Where were her parents?

"Hello?" She called. "Helloooo?"

Suddenly a blonde unicorn with blue eyes and a pink coat came in. She looked around for the voice, then saw Mind Twist.

"Ah, Mind Twist, come with me right away." She said in slightly cheerful voice, and without another word, she suddenly turned down a hallway, expecting Mind to follow her.

Mind had to run to keep up, and it wasn't helpful that the unicorn was speed walking. Mind tripped a few times, due to her tiny legs, yet the blonde never looked back.

"Excuse me miss, how d'you know my name?" Mind Twist asked once she had caught up.

The unicorn, who continued to speed walk, answered "Oh I know everypony, sweetheart. It's part of my job."

Mind Twist was not sure of what to make of this strange pony calling her "sweetheart." Only her parents said that. But she had no time, for they had arrived at a hospital room.

"This is one of the emergency rooms." The blonde told her.

"Why did you take me here?" Mind Twist asked. "I'm not sick at all."

The blonde merely smiled a fake smile, then frowned. "I'm afraid I have some terrible news. This room contains your parents."
