Prologue

It was a beautiful day out in Equestria. The sun was out and there were puffy white clouds in the sky. One of the clouds you could clearly tell was Rainbow Dash's house. Inside the cloud house Rainbow Dash is seen sleeping in her giant bed. The sun light that was streaming through the windows slowly crept up onto her face, which woke the pegasus up. As Rainbow Dash got out of bed she strecthed her wings and yawned as she walked into her living room. A knock came on the door. As Dash walked over to the door she rubbed her eyes to wake herself up. She then opened the door to see the mail mare

Derpy hooves on the other side. "Hey there Rainbow Dash, I got your mail here."

"Don't you usually put it through the mail slot. Why are you knocking on my door to give me it?"

"Well when I gave Twilight her mail she wanted me to ask you if you had time to come over to her house."

"Oh thanks Derpy. But did she say why?"

"Nope she just asked me to ask you that. Well anyway I need to get going. I still have tons of mail to deliver."

As Derpy flew away she waved bye to Rainbow dash. Dash walked back into her house and laid the mail onto the kitchen table.

"I guess I should head over to Twilight's before she decides to find someone else to help her."

Rainbow took a few steps back and quickly ran out the door. After jumping off the cloud she went muzzle first down to the ground. As she built up speed she opened up her wings and pulled up. With all her speed she raced to Twlight's. Meanwhile crossing over the bridge leaving Ponyville, the Cutie Mark Crusaders were on there way to Sweet Apple Acres. They then stopped dead in their tracks when they heard someone screaming.......
"INCOMING!!!!!!!!!"

Rainbow Dash crashes into the trio. Dash looks back to see the three on her back. "Hey Crusaders what's up!?"

"Hiya Dash, we were on our way to Sweet Apple Acres to try to get a cutie mark there. You mind dropping us off there?"

"No time squirt, I have to get to Twilight's as fast as I can. I'll try to set you guys down somewhere safe."

As she flew past the town hall she dropped the kids on one of the balconies on the second floor. Rainbow Dash then slid to a stop in front of Twilight's house. She then walks up to the door and knocks on it. After she knocks Spike, Twlight's best friend and number one assistant, opened the door.

"Oh hey, Rainbow Dash you're earlier than Twilight thought." As he lets Dash in he called to Twilight who was currently upstairs.

"Twilight! Rainbow Dash is here!"

"Thanks Spike I'll be down in a minute."

"Well you heard her. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me."

"Thanks, Spike."

Twilight then walks down the stairs as Spike walks into the kitchen. "Hey Dash. You're earlier then expected."

"Yeah you're not the first to say that. So what did you need me for?"

As Twilight reached the bottom of the stairs, she uses her magic to levitate a book off the shelf and set it down on her desk. "Last night I found this really interesting spell that I haven't used yet and I needed someone to test it out on."

"So you called me down here to be your guinea pig?"

"Yeah I guess you can call it that. You mad?" As she said that last two words Twilight's ears dropped down showing Dash that she was worried that she was mad at her. Rainbow Dash then realized how her words sounded kinda mean.

"No Twi, I could never be mad at you. I didn't have anything better to do today. So let's do this!"

Twilight's ears then perked back up as she went over to the desk. She then opened the book to the spell she found.

"So whats this spell going to do?"

"I don't really know. I think it's supposed to make you faster."

"Twilight don't you remember the last time I took something that made me faster? I did a double rainboom and traveled to another universe."

"Yeah I remember Dash, but that was a potion this is a spell. But like I said I don't know what it does."

"Ok Twi I trust you. Just don't turn me into a stallion or into a filly and you can do your spell."

Twilight then started bouncing up and down around Rainbow Dash."Oh thank you Rainbow. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She then hugged Dash as hard as she could. Which made Rainbow Dash blush very heavily.

"Your welcome Twi, but it's kinda hard to breath."

Twilight quickly let go and went back to the spell book. "Um, anyway that spell. Could you stand over there please?"

"Yeah sure." Rainbow Dash walked over to where Twilight pointed and then sat down while Twilight read the rest of the spell. She then walk over to in front of Rainbow Dash.

"Ok Rainbow Dash, this shouldn't hurt.......much."

"What!?"

"Oh nothing." Twilight's horn then started to glow as she started the spell. Unknown to the both of them as her horn glowed so did the elements of harmony. A blast then came from her horn and it hit Dash. A blinding light came from the blast and as it cleared Twilight noticed Rainbow Dash was gone. All that was left was a scorch mark on the ground. Twilight looked around the library to see some books that had fallen to the ground.

"Spike get in here quick!"

Spike ran in from the kitchen. "Twilight whats wrong!?"

"Rainbow Dash is gone. That spell must have been a teleportation spell. I need to go find her. But while I'm gone I need you to clean up these books ."

"Ok, good luck finding Rainbow Dash."

"Thanks. I don't know when I'll be back."

"Take your time. I'll be fine."

"Ok, Spike, see you later."

As Twilight left the library, Spike went to pick up a book. The book that he picked up was opened to a picture of the
founders of Equestria. Spike then dropped the book and quickly ran out the door after Twilight.

"TWILIGHT WAIT COME BACK!!!!!!" Twilight then stopped and turned to Spike.

"I thought you said you would be fine."

"I did but that's not it. You have to see this book!"

"Spike I don't have time to look at a book, I need to find Rainbow Dash."

"Just come on it's important!"

"Ok fine I'll humor you, Spike."

The two walk back to the library. Spike picked the book back up and gave it to Twilight.

"The First Hearth Warming Eve? Why did you want to look at this?"

"Turn to the last page and look at the picture."

Twilight then used her magic to flip the pages to the last page. The picture showed the founders of Equestria and their respected flags.

"What am I looking at Spike?"

"Look at Commander Hurricane."

Twilight then got a closer look at the Pegasus Commander.

"What about her?"

"Look closely."

Twilight then used her magic to bring a magnifying glass and put it over the picture of Hurricane.

"It can't be. It just can't be. That's impossible she was just here."

"Maybe that's what your spell did it sent Rainbow Dash into the past."

Meanwhile over 1000 years ago in the past, Rainbow Dash wakes up on the ground in the middle of a forest.

"Uh, where am I?"

At that moment spears were jammed into the space around her.

"Uh oh."

End of prologue.

Chapter 1: Enlisting

Inside the libary Spike is seen sitting on the floor in the middle of the main room while Twilight is pacing back in and forth infront of him.

"It's just impossible Spike. It wasn't even a time traveling spell!"

"Maybe the princess knows something about the spell."

"Thats a great idea Spike. You write a letter to her about us coming to Canterlot for an emergency."

"Us?"

"Yeah you, me, and the rest of the girls. I'm going to go get them while you write that letter."

But not even getting a word in Twilight was already out the door. First Twlight headed to Suger Cube Corner to get Pinkie

Pie. When she walked into the bakery she found one of the owers Mrs. Cake behind the counter.

"Good moring Twilight what can I do you for?"

"Hey Mrs. Cake, i'm looking for Pinkie is she here?

"No sorry Twilight, shes over at the Carousel Boutique helping Rarity."

"Oh thanks. I guess I'll head over there then."

"Come back anytime Twilight!"

"Oh I will Mrs. Cake."

After leaving Sugercube cornor, Twilight walked down the street the Carousel Boutique. She then knocked on the door to hear her friend Rarity answer in her usual regal manner.

"Come in!"

Twilight walk through the door and walked into Rarity's main workroom to see Rarity using Pinkie Pie as a mannequin.

"Hello Twilight. Why are you here I thought you and Rainbow Dash were testing out a spell?"

"We were but we have a problem and I need you two to wait for me to come back with Apple Jack and Fluttershy."

"Why what happened?" asked the pink earth pony.

"I'll explain everything when I get back."

Just as she was walking out the door she turned back to the two.

"Also when you get there can you help Spike find anything about Commander Hurricane?"

"Wait Twlight why do we need to.......?"

But Twilight was already out the door heading towards Sweet Apple Acres.

"What do you think happened Rarity?"

"I have no idea dear. We should head over to Twilight's then."

"But what about the dress?"

"My friends are more important than a dress Pinkie."

The time then switches to 1000 years into the past where Rainbow Dash is met face to face with a group of spear wielding Pegasi. Just then a dark blue pegasus stallion wearing armor walks up behind the soldiers.
"Lieutenant whats going on here."

"Ah General BraveHeart. We found this pegasus outside the camp thought she was a spy."

"Now, now Lieutenant. She's probaby here to enlist. Aren't you miss?"

"Uh yeah, yeah i'm here to enlist..... I guess."

"Well then welcome to the grand Pegasus army. I'm General BraveHeart. And you are?"

"Ready and raring to go General."

"Glad to here it recruit, but what is your name?"

Rainbow Dash then panicked.

(thinking) Crap, what am I going to tell him?! I shouldn't tell him my name. I have to say a name, thats right just say the first name that comes off the tip of your tonuge.
"Uh...... Hurricane."

As soon as she finsihed Rainbow Dash mentally cursed herself for saying the name of one of her heroes.

"Welcome to the army Private Hurricane! Lieutenant take the Private to get her new armor."

"Sir yes sir. Come on Private."

Rainbow Dash and the Lieutenant walk towards the camp.

"So what's your name?"

"Lieutenant Thunder Chaser."

"Nice name. So where are we going, uh sir?"

"I'm taking you to get fitted for your armor."

"Aw right."

The two then walk into a large tent. Inside of the tent were armors in different sizes and many weapons. In the middle of it all was a pegasus mare.

"Privite Pansy, attention!"

The pegasus then jumped high into the air and as she landed salluted the Lieutenant. Rainbow Dash noticed as the mare stood there, she could see that she was trembling.

"At ease Pansy. Are you alright?"

"Uh yes sir, you just scared me thats all."

"Yeah anyway we have a new recruit that needs to be fitted for her armor. I shall leave her in your care Private."

"Thank you sir. Goodbye sir."

The Lieutenant then left the two mares alone in the armory tent. After a few minutes Rainbow Dash broke the ice.

"Uh i'm Hurricane."

"I'm Private Prancing Pansy."

They said as they shook hooves.

"So what do I need to do?"

"Just stand right there and i'll get you some armor to try on."

"So whats with you and the Lieutenant?"

"He's my older brother. He is just looking out for me."

"I know what you mean I have a little sister and sometimes i'm alittle over protective of her."

"She must be so proud of you. Anyway heres some armor try it on to see if it fits. If none of these do i'll go get more."

"Thanks Pansy."

Dash went over to the first set of armor and tired it on, it was way to big for her. The second set was rusted and dented. Dash then walked up to the last set. She could have sworn that this armor looked exactally like the armor she worn in the Hearth Warming Eve play. She put the armor on and it fit perfectally, like she was meant to wear it. As she finished putting the rest of the armor back on Pansy walked back into the tent.

"So, uh Hurricane did any of those work?"

"Yeah Pansy the last set did. The first one was two big and the second one was dented."

"Sorry about that second one, I didn't notice the dents in it."

"Don't worry about. This armor is awesome. It's like I was meant to wear it."

"Who knows maybe you were."

The two then shared a laugh as General BraveHeart walked into the tent.

"It seems you two are getting along just well."

The two then stood to attention and salluted as they heard the General speak up.

"At ease. I need you two to come with me."

"Very well then sir."
The two responded as they followed the General. The time then switches back to the peresnt as Twilight reaches Sweet Apple Acres. As she walk into the farm she saw AppleJack sitting back as the Cutie Mark Crusaders are trying to buck apples. AppleJack notices her Alicorn friend walk up to her.

"Heya sugercube, what can I do for you?"

"Well I have a problem and I need you to head to the library until I get back."

After hearing that Twilight has a problem the CMC became curious. So they started to eavesdrop onto their conversation.

"Whats the problem Twi?"

"It's about Raibow Dash."

"What happened to Rainbow Dash?!"

Twilight and AppleJack look back to see the CMC eavesdropping on them.

"Don't you three know better than to eavesdrop on someponies conversation?"

"No it's alright AppleJack. If you three want to help go with AppleJack back to the library and i'll explain everything after I come back with Fluttershy. Spike, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie are already there, I need you to help find anything that has to do with Commander Hurricane. And I mean everything, even if she is just mentioned in it."

"Ok Twlight. We'll see you when you get there AppleJack." ApppleBloom said before her and Sweetie Bell ran off towards Ponyville.

"Uh....Twilight?"

"Yeah Scootaloo?"

"Is Rainbow Dash going to alright?"

"I have no idea Scoot, I just have no idea."

Scootaloo hung her head as she followed her friends. Twilight then turned back to AppleJack.

"Ok Sugercube I want to know the whole story."

"Ok, I found this new spell and I wanted to try it out. So when Derpy came by with my mail, I asked her to ask Rainbow Dash if she could come over to test it out on her. But something went wrong and I think I accidently sent Dash 1000 years into the past."

"Now thats a problem Twi. I can see why you need the help. Did you send a letter to the princess?"

"I had Spike do it. I have no idea if she has wrote back yet."

"Well then I'll head over to the library. See you when you get Fluttershy."

"Thanks AppleJack. You don't mind keeping an eye on Scootaloo?"

"Yeah sure Twi. You don't know what that filly might do."

AppleJack then ran off after the three fillies, while Twilight went to Fluttershy's cottage. As AppleBloom and Sweetie Bell were running towards the library they noticed a sad scootaloo a mile behind them. They then walk back to their sad friend.
"Hey Scoot are you ok?"

"No i'm worried about Rainbow Dash. What isn't Twilght telling us? I mean what if shes hurt or something even worse. What if she can't fly anymore?!"

"You're over thinking this Scootaloo. I'm sure she's fine." Her unicorn friend responded.

"You sure?"

"I'm positive Scoots."

With a new positive additude, Scootaloo rushed towards her friends.

"Come on then guys lets go! Cutie Mark Crusaders Rainbow Dash rescuers!!!!"

"Uh Scootaloo? What would a cutie mark like that even look like?"

"This isn't about getting cutie mark! This is about rescuing my sister!"

Scootaloo then ran towards Ponyville leaving her friends confused.

"She sure can change additudes real quick, huh Sweetie Bell?"

"She sure can. Come on AppleBloom lets go!"

The two fillies follow after Scootaloo, with AppleJack close behind them. Near her cottage Fluttershy was seen helping ducks

cross the road. Twilight walks up to her friend.

"Um...........Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy quickly turned to Twilight.

"Oh Twilight you scared me."

"Sorry Fluttershy. Are you busy, I need your help with something?"

"Nope, I just finished my chores for the day. What do you need help with Twilight?"

"I'll explain everything when we get back to the library."

"Ok then Twilight. Lets go then....um I mean if you want to that is?"

"No, come on FlutterShy the others are waiting for us."

After a few minutes Twilight and Fluttershy walk into the library to see the others waiting for them there.

"Ok Twilight dear where all here you mind telling us what happened?"

"Alright. I'll tell you everything."
