After much heart ache from their break up, Rainbow Dash refuses to give up hope for Soarin' and feels that she is being called to wait and be patient for him.

After much heartache from their break up, Rainbow Dash refuses to give up hope for Soarin' and feels that she is being called to wait and be patient for him. Is Rainbow Dash wasting her time by being stuck in the past, unable to move forward, or is she really being called to do what she is doing?

This story is a direct follow up to my other story called, "How Much Do You Really Love Me?" I recommend reading that story first before reading this.

Discussions With Twilight Sparkle

View Online

Twilight Sparkle woke up later than usual today and Spike had been running the library while she was still asleep. Twilight got out of bed and walked downstairs. She noticed that they already had one pony come in extra early to read books. She was even more surprised when she realized who it was. Twilight came up to Rainbow Dash who had her face burrowed in a book. "What do you have there, Rainbow?"

"It's just a book about basic Theology," Rainbow replied. "I have been trying to understand more about God because something super natural happened to me."

"Something super natural?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, I prayed for a hug last night while I was in bed and even though I didn't have the covers pulled over me, I felt this wonderful warmth cover my body, even though it was very cold in my house. My body began quivering with pleasure and I quickly fell asleep. I slept so well last night, that I got up extra early today! I'm feeling so rejuvenated! Have you ever prayed for hugs, Twi?"

Twilights face blushed a bit and she replied, "I do all the time, Rainbow. It feels good to be hugged by Jesus, but I never have felt anything to that magnitude. It seems like God really wanted to comfort you. I'm so happy that He did."

"That experience just made me want to learn more about Him," Rainbow said.

Twilight Sparkle's curiosity got the better of her and she used her magic to levitate the side of the book in the air without losing Rainbow's place on the page. "Oh, it's that book," she said with a giggle.

"Huh?" Rainbow said. "It's not a bad book, is it?" Rainbow asked.

"No," Twilight replied. "It's just that there's a few things in there that I disagree with."

"Do you have a better suggestion of what to read?" Rainbow asked. "I don't want to be mislead."

Twilight giggled again and said, "Rainbow, if it was THAT bad, I wouldn't have it in my library. Please read it, there are only very minor things that I disagree with. It's a very well written book and If you have any concerns, we can discuss the things I disagree with later."

"I was just going over the Trinity. So why do you think Jesus was an Earth pony?" Rainbow asked.

Twilight smiled and said, "Jesus was an Earth pony because what better way was there to show humility by not having wings or magic? Since earth pony's can't perform magic or fly, there was nothing extraordinary about Him that would make other ponies take a second glance at Him. There was nothing special about His appearance during His short stay on Equestira either. The Bible prophesied that as well. He gave up heavenly comfort in order to come down here to save us."

"But you mean He didn't sparkle or shine? I thought all of those drawings about Him depicted Him of being this amazing pony with a perfect body."

"Oh, His glorified body may sparkle and shine, but that happened after His resurrection by the Father. A picture or painting can't even begin to explain how amazing He looks in His glorified body," Twilight answered. "He is an Alicorn in His glorified body because He is ruler of the universe and He is the king of all kings."

"What about Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow asked. "She doesn't have wings nor magic yet she can do things that no pony can explain."

Twilight giggled and said, "I think God was just having a lot of fun when He created her! He has a great sense of humor and He loves laughter as well. I don't think we can figure out how Pinkie Pie works or is able to do what she does, but I can't wait to ask God about her when I get to Heaven."

"Wow, I feel kind of bad for Applejack," Rainbow said as she put her head down. "She doesn't have wings, magic, and she can't do crazy things like Pinkie Pie."

"Applejack doesn't need wings or magic to be a major blessing to us and to others. She has a heart of gold and she is proof that a pony without any wings or magic can work hard and still get things done without the kind of luxuries that we have. We really should be more grateful and give Applejack a lot more hugs. We should also thank God for the things that we can do and we should try to give Applejack much more appreciation. I can't imagine not having her in our little Sisters in Christ group."

"And why did you say that the Holy Spirit was a Pegasus pony?" Rainbow asked as she picked her head back up.

"In the book of Luke, the Bible says that the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus like a dove. The word descended implies flying. In the book of Genesis, the Bible says the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Once again, hovering is a type of flying."

"And the Father is a unicorn I assume?"

"That's correct! Unicorns have the power to make things appear out of nowhere like this." Twilight Sparkle used her magic and a rose was now on the table in front of her friend. "God made everything appear out of nowhere by simply speaking. Since Jesus is an Earth pony and the Holy Spirit is a Pegasus, by default, the Father is a unicorn. Do you know what that means when the three come together, Rainbow?"

Rainbow Dash shook her head no.

"We have three different characters that makes up one God. An Alicorn! Do you realize that the Trinity is God's community and that we were made for community as well? If we didn't have the Earth ponies, we would not have any food. If we didn't have the Pegasus ponies, we wouldn't have any weather control. If we didn't have Unicorns, we wouldn't have any magic or the changing of seasons, and without an Alicorn to help govern us, we would be in constant chaos. Do you see how this all works? Did you know that God was the one to help Princess Celestia create the Elements of Harmony so that we can keep peace in this land and keep the evil away?"

"And do you think that there is an alternative world or something where there are different creatures?" Rainbow asked.

"I sure do!" Twilight replied. "And I'm sure that He created them too!"

"That's amazing," Rainbow said.

"God is amazing!" Twilight added. Twilight looked around for a moment and then leaned in closer to her friend. "Hey Rainbow, do you want to come back and play Dungeons and Dragons again? We really miss you playing with us."

"No," Rainbow replied. "I told you that I'm not coming back until things work out again."

You're not referring to you and Soarin' getting back together are you?" Twilight asked.

"Yes. I told you already. I'm fasting and I've decided to not only include fasting when it comes to eating, but also the other things that I love including sports and games."

"Rainbow, but why? It's almost like you're punishing yourself for this. Why not just move on and forget about him?" Twilight asked in a slightly whiny voice.

"Because I feel like I'm being called to do this," Rainbow said.

"And you don't feel that this is the slightest bit weird? Don't you remember what happened to Pinkie Pie when she felt that she was supposed to be this big super star Evangelist? Do you remember what happened to her?"

"This is different, and if you're not going to stand with me on this, then please don't try to discourage me. I know you want me to play with you girls very much, but I need to do this. I'm going to give him some time to cool off. I think he'll at least write to me soon." Rainbow Dash got up and picked up the book she was reading.

"It's your decision, Rainbow. I hope you at least enjoy the book."

"Thanks, Twi. I'll see you around." Rainbow Dash walked out of the door with the book.

Twilight Sparkle sighed and looked at Spike. "I don't think she's doing what's right, Spike."

The Rejection

View Online

About a week later, Rainbow Dash still hadn't heard from Soarin'. She was getting a little nervous and even though she was a very brave pony who took risks, the idea of visiting him was a little upsetting to her. Still, she had been praying for him and she had hoped that perhaps he may have come to his senses by now. She gathered up her confidence to go see him.

Rainbow Dash paced outside his door for a few moments. She put her front hoof to the door and was about to knock, but she paused for a moment because she was so unsure of how this whole thing would play out. She closed her eyes tightly and knocked loudly on the door. She put her ear next to the door and waited for a moment. There was no sounds that she could hear. Was he even home? Rainbow Dash knocked again and waited. Soarin' must have not been home at this moment. Just as she turned her back to leave, she heard him open the door.

"Dash?" he asked.

She turned around and said, "Hey, Soarin'. Listen, I really hope things have calmed down and we can talk again. I just wanted to come back to tell you that I still love you and that I'll always be loyal to you."

"It's too late, Dash," Soarin' said. "I'm already with another mare and I really don't care about your crazy Christian values. Go find some other pony. I'm not even interested in being friends with you."

"What?! You won't even be friends with me after all we have been through? All of the precious memories that we had made together, you just want to throw it all away in the blink of an eye?"

"I told you, I don't even want to know who you are right now. I'm already with another mare and she actually doesn't have any restrictions when it comes to loving each other."

"I can't believe that you won't even be friends with me anymore," Rainbow Dash said. She couldn't even keep eye contact with him.

"Move on in life and forget about me. I don't even want to remember you. Now leave my house."

Rainbow Dash wanted to say something else, but her heart was crushed by the words of Soarin'. She almost couldn't believe what was heard. Somehow, she managed to say, "I don't know what else to say. I'll still be praying for you."

"Don't bother," he replied. "I don't need your prayers." Soarin' then slammed the door in her face.

Rainbow Dash felt the tears well up in her eyes. Even though she often put on the tough girl act in front of her friends, she was begging to be able to accept that crying was not a form of weakness but that it was actually healthy to cry sometimes. She thrust out her wings and took off to go home. During her flight home she decided to take a small detour and stop by Twilight's library.

Rainbow Dash walked into the library and found that her friends were gathered around a table playing Dungeons and Dragons once more. She had forgotten that today was a holiday and that everypony had off from work, Including Applejack.

Twilight's ears perked up when she heard the door open. She looked up and got excited because maybe Rainbow Dash had come to her senses that what she was doing was a bit nutty and that maybe she would finally join them in their game. "Hey Rainbow! Have you come back to join us again?"

Rainbow Dash shook her head no and wiped a few tears from her eyes. She walked over to the table and took a seat between Applejack and Fluttershy. "I talked to Soarin' today."

"How did it go?" Fluttershy asked.

Rainbow Dash put her head down low and closed her eyes. "He said that he already found another mare and that he doesn't care about my crazy Christian values."

Together, Fluttershy and Applejack gave Rainbow Dash a hug from each side.

"I'm so sorry that it didn't work out, Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy said. "If there's anything I can do, please let me know. I have been having some hard times too because my animal friends have been getting sick again."

"We ain't gonna let our sister in Christ stay hurt like this," Applejack said.

"So, have you finally come to your senses? Are you going to let him go now?" Twilight asked.

Rainbow Dash answered her without picking her head up, "No."

"Rainbow, you know there are some really nice stallions at the Church we attend," Twilight said. "Like I said before, Soarin' seems like he was putting on the whole Christian act as a form of something I like to call..." Twilight Sparkle put her two front hooves in the air and gestured as if she were using quotation marks with her two front hooves and finished her sentence, "Spiritual booty call."

Rainbow Dash looked annoyed now and said, "I really don't think he was trying to say that he was a Christian just to woo me. I really think he truly didn't understand and believed what most worldly Christians believe. It's a secular world that we live in and even Churches teach wrong things to try to fit in with what the world believes. Besides, there are plenty of Church whores, prostitutes, and wolves in sheep's clothing who attend Church because that's where predators like to stalk when it comes to finding some of the purist ponies."

"Rainbow, he has another mare friend and I'm sure that his relationship is only going to end in adultery. It's best that you move on. You're not Hosea and I don't think you're going to buy him as a slave just so you can rescue him and marry him. Most mares seem to get over breakups and move on quickly and most stallions tend to take a much longer time when it comes to moving on after a breakup. It's like the total opposite is happening here. You need to move on!"

"If I can't get support for what I feel that I'm being called to do, then I guess I'll just be alone," Rainbow said as she got up and headed over to the door. She stopped and looked back at her friends when she reached the door and opened it. "I'll just ask that you all may pray for me. That's all."

"Oh, I will be praying for you, alright," Twilight said. "I'll be praying that you move on in life."

Rainbow Dash lowered her ears with sadness and left without saying another word. Even though the words of Twilight were very discouraging, she didn't even feel the slightest bit tempted to change her mind. She had a mission and no matter how ridiculous it seemed to others, she was still going to follow through with it. Rainbow Dash spread her wings out and flew home.

"Do you think that maybe you were being a bit too harsh on Rainbow Dash, Twilight?" Fluttershy asked.

Twilight shook her head no and said, "If anything, we need to push her a little more. We could use Applejack to give her a good buck to the backside, literally. I'm not trying to be mean here, I just worry about her getting stuck in the past and then not being able to move forward in life. I have seen this happen countless times with other ponies." Twilight looked at Pinkie Pie. "Ok, Pinkie Pie, it's your turn to roll."

Loyalty Never Gives Up

A few months went by and Rainbow Dash was still waiting, praying, and fasting. She figured that she probably lost a lot of muscle and cardiovascular fitness because she hadn't been doing any exercise besides helping clear out the skies of Ponyville. Even though Twilight continued to discourage her about this, she did not lose hope in her heart and she continued to wait. She felt that somehow, someway, they were destined to be together and that Soarin' would come back to her.

Rainbow Dash was sitting by the lake where she got her first kiss. Even though it was frigid cold out, the sun was shining brightly and that kept her warm enough as she soaked in its rays. She was praying now and was so very focused on her prayer. She was praying like this for a long time. She would move her lips as if to say the words that were being thought in her mind, but no sound came out of her mouth. Rainbow Dash thought she felt something tap against her shoulder, but she figured that it was just her imagination and she was so deep in prayer that it barely phased her. She felt two more taps on her shoulder and heard a very familiar voice say her name. She realized that it wasn't her imagination. Her eyes opened up and she turned around. She was met face to face with Soarin'. She froze there in place unable to speak for a moment. Finally, she managed to say, "Soarin'? What are you doing here?"

Soarin' spoke up and said, "Hey Dash, I first went to your home and realized that you weren't there. I decided to come here to spend some time alone, then I noticed you and I have to tell you something. I need to apologize to you. I didn't realize that Christians seriously believed everything that the Bible teaches and I thought that whole waiting for marriage thing was just some kind of joke. I didn't respect you for your morals and beliefs and I have failed miserably. You don't even have to forgive me because I went beyond wrong with what I did."

Rainbow Dash's eyes lit up and she threw her front legs around his body and burrowed her head into his chest. "I forgive you whole heartedly, Soarin'!"

Soarin' did not hug her back. He felt like he couldn't even touch her right now.

Rainbow Dash picked her head back up and asked, "Are you okay, Soarin'? Is there anything that you would like to talk about?" Rainbow Dash let go of him and waited for a response from him.

Soarin' put his head down and said, "No, Dash. I'm not ok. I ended up breaking up with my girlfriend."

"Will you come back to me, Soarin'?" Rainbow asked.

"No," he replied.

Rainbow's ears lowered with sadness. "May I ask why?"

"Because you wouldn't want me if I told you what had happened with me and my ex."

"You don't have to tell me, but if you choose to, I promise not to judge you," she said.

Soarin' was still looking at the ground and he felt that he couldn't even make eye contact with her. "I'm not a virgin anymore. I don't think I have to explain any more than that."

The words crushed Rainbow Dash's heart. She looked down at the ground and watched a tear drop fall off of her nose and fell to the ground.

"So as I was saying. I'm not able to come back to you because of my sins and I don't deserve somepony who is as pure as you. What I had was once beautiful and I gave you up for my own selfish desire."

Rainbow Dash looked up and said, "Soarin', look at me."

Soarin' slowly picked his head up and looked into her eyes. His face spoke of pain, sorrow, and deep regret.

"That hurts me so very much to hear that, but I want to tell you something," Rainbow said.

Soarin' mentally prepared himself and expected a barrage of harsh and judgmental words to come out of her mouth.

"I still want you back," Rainbow said.

Soarin' was shocked at her confession. "But Rainbow Dash, doesn't your God not allow us to marry because of the sin that I have committed? Didn't you once tell me that without marriage in mind, dating is completely pointless?"

"I did say that, but that still doesn't take away the fact that I love you and couples can still marry even if one partner has physically lost their virginity on purpose. I already told you that I had committed adultery in my heart with you. Christ has accepted me and loves me regardless of my sins. He has lovingly accepted me despite what I have done, and I want to show you the kind of love and acceptance that He has shown me."

Soarin' had no words because he had never seen such beauty, grace, and forgiveness displayed in a pony before.

Rainbow Dash spread her front legs out for a hug and said, "I'll take you back, Soarin'. I'll take you back. Come here."

Tears welled up in Soarin's eyes as he embraced her with a hug. "I don't understand how this is even happening. I still have so many issues."

"You don't have to understand. The only reason I can do this is because of what Christ has done for me and I don't think I'll ever be able to figure out just how great His love and sacrifice was."

They both embraced each other and the heat from their bodies warmed them up from the cold air. Nothing was said between them for a moment. The warm hug that they both enjoyed was enough.

When they broke free, Soarin' looked at Rainbow and said, "Truly, if this God can create such a loving and forgiving pony like you, then I think I would like to follow this God with all of my heart. I've heard about Him and have said that I followed Him, but really, I don't know much about what the Christian life is supposed to be like. I am amazed by you, and your God. Tell me, what must I do to become a real Christian?"

"It's a very personal walk with God. I haven't really shared my personal prayers or my own walk with you because we aren't united as a married couple yet. You can start by surrendering your life to Christ and telling Him about how you feel. Would you like to do that now?"

"Yes," Soarin' said. "I want to know Him and this amazing grace."

Rainbow Dash got low to the ground and put her two front hooves together.

"Why are you almost prone to the ground when you pray? Do I need to do that every time I pray too?"

Rainbow smiled and said, "No. Sometimes I'll pray with my eyes open or I'll just start talking to God out loud as I'm going for a walk. This is just a traditional thing because ponies bow down to Kings and Princesses as an act of respect, and Christ is truly the King of all Kings. It's an act of humility. It's amazing that such a Holy and perfect God allows sinners to come before Him and communicate with Him in prayer. We shouldn't even have the right to do this."

Soarin' got down low next to her as she began to pray. "Dear, Heavenly Father, I have been praying and hoping that Soarin' would come back to me. I felt as if You were the one telling me to wait for him and I thank You so much that he's back. I pray that You may teach him and lead him into a life that is Godly and pleasing to You. We need to stay strong as a couple and not give into adultery."

Soarin' picked up on the silence when he realized that Rainbow Dash was done speaking.

Soarin' cleared his throat and said, "This is going to be awkward for me because I haven't really prayed before. I first need to thank You for the love and sacrifice that You have done for us and I thank You so much for giving Rainbow Dash such a loving and forgiving heart. None of this makes any sense to me, but Rainbow Dash said that I don't have to worry about it. I'd like to surrender my life to You and have what Rainbow Dash has. I struggle with lust and if anyone can help me get through this, it's You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen." Soarin' picked his head up and looked at Rainbow. "When I saw you at the beach, something inside me told me that you were not of this world. I really believe that now. You're like an Angel or something."

"I'm no Angel," Rainbow responded. "I'm just a simple Pegasus pony inspired by the love of Christ. I screw up badly at times too and I have quite a history of being arrogant and hot headed as well. Sometimes I still let my pride get the better of me. This is one reason why I pray while being prone on the ground because it helps to remind me that life isn't about me or how well I can play my sports or games, but I'm created to give glory to God and so are you."

"So is this it? Are we really back together?" Soarin' asked. "I'm still having trouble believing that this is all real."

Rainbow perked up with a smile and said, "Of course we're back together! I told you that I didn't represent the element of loyalty for nothing!" Rainbow noticed the tree behind Soarin'. "Hey Soarin', I have a surprise for you, but you have to close your eyes, ok?"

"Sure, Dash," Soarin' said as he closed his eyes.

Rainbow Dash stood on her hind legs and pushed him back against the tree. She pinned him there with her two front hooves and then kissed him passionately.

Soarin' didn't expect this, but when he realized what happened, he embraced her and put one of his front hooves behind her head and the other front hoof on her chest.

Rainbow Dash pulled away and said, "I have missed your kiss for so long."

"Thanks for the kiss, Dash. We kissed exactly in the same spot where we first kissed. I have missed your kiss and you for the longest time. Thanks again for taking me back."

Rainbow Dash grabbed him by his front hoof and pulled. "Come on! I need to tell the girls what happened!"

Soarin' didn't budge.

"What's the matter? Don't you want to celebrate that we're back together?" Rainbow asked.

"I think I need to take care of some matters first," he admitted. "You can come with me if you want."

Rainbow Dash had no idea what he was talking about, but followed him because she was curious.

Burn it All Behind

Rainbow Dash sat on the couch in his living room while he went upstairs. He had told her to wait there for a moment. Rainbow Dash looked at the boxes of video games and smiled. She really missed playing them and couldn't wait to play them again.

Moments later, Soarin' came down the stairs with boxes piled on top of each other.

"What do you have in those boxes? Old school video games?" Rainbow asked.

Soarin' put the boxes on the table and said, "No. What I have here is not pretty, Dash."

Rainbow Dash came over and peeked inside of one of the boxes. It was porn, and the first thing she saw was one of her best friends, Rarity doing a little act of foreplay with another mare. The picture was of them both licking whip cream off of each others bodies. "Soarin' we need to get rid of this filth. Porn corrupts character and the minds of those who read or view it. Porn will destroy your sex life and desensitize you to the point where you won't even be able to enjoy or perform as well sexually. One thing keeps leading to another and the cycle never stops unless you trash it all."

Soarin' sighed and said, "I know. That's why I have brought this down. I'm going to get rid of my collection."

"I don't mean to be rude, but I understand from what Twilight Sparkle told me about stallions and their desire to hoard porn that there's always that one copy that they like to keep hidden away when they trash their collection. Is this all that you have here, or is there anything more?"

Soarin' felt major conviction. "Your friend, Twilight Sparkle is a very wise mare. I did leave one last magazine."

"I know this is going to be hard for you, but you have to give it up or else it will just lead to rebuying this junk again. I don't even know how you got so much since Princess Celestia forbids it. I guess ponies will find ways when they are so desperate."

Soarin' ran upstairs and came back with his last magazine and put it on top of one of the boxes.

"That's everything, Soarin'?" Rainbow asked. "Please be truthful."

"That's everything," Soarin' replied. Soarin' went into the kitchen quickly and came back with a single match stick and placed it on top of one of the boxes. "I have had these collections for the longest time. Even when we were dating, Dash. I'm so sorry about that."

"Hey, don't beat yourself up over your sins. Remember that guilt is from the enemy and says that you are a screw up and that you aren't any good. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit and He tells you that you need to change, but also not to hold yourself back and move forward. I want to tell you how proud I am of you for moving forward in life and I'm going to be cheering you on in your journey with Christ every step of the way. I love you so much Soarin' and no sin is ever too great for God to take away. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west."

Soarin' nodded his head in understanding.

Together, both ponies took the stacks of boxes and flew down to the ground. They both piled up the boxes of magazines.

"Which box did I put that match in?" Soarin' asked.

Rainbow Dash saw the box with the match stick sticking out of the box. She grabbed it and said, "I found it. Are you ready to do this?"

"Do you want to burn it or should I?" Soarin' asked.

Rainbow Dash gave the match stick to him and said, "You should burn it. It will have more significance if you do it."

Soarin' took the match and then struck it against his hoof several times. The match lit up and he stared at his massive collection for a moment. Back then, there would be no way that he would ever consider doing this. He really believed that God was helping him through this difficult task and he was also doing this because it was the right thing to do and he wanted to please Rainbow Dash. Soarin' dropped the match and stepped back, standing next to Rainbow Dash. He did not feel one bit of remorse or feelings of loss for what was once his most obsessive collection of pornography. Soarin' turned to Rainbow and said, "This is going to seem awkward, but is it really wrong to..." Soarin' paused for a moment. "Never mind, I better not ask."

"No, tell me," Rainbow Dash said. "I promise I won't get upset or judge you."

Soarin' sighed. This was getting way too close to his comfort zone. He turned his head away from her and asked, "Is it a sin to masturbate? I never heard of any verse in the Bible that addresses this topic and I don't have anymore porn, so is it really that bad?"

"The Bible doesn't speak about this act and there's really not much to be said about this topic, but don't do it. It's a selfish sexual act and it is immoral. It's best to practice self control. Would you think Jesus would ever do something like that? What goes through your mind when you do that deed?"

"But the world says that it's normal and healthy to do it. Isn't that true?" he asked.

"Don't listen to the world. Listen to the Holy Spirit inside of you. He will convict you if you may fall into sexual sins. I know this all to well to be true myself. If you really want some more scientific answers about anatomy, my friend Twilight Sparkle knows just about everything out there. Do be assured, you're not going to die from a lack of masturbating. I understand that it can be painfully difficult for males when it comes to giving this up. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to us. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. "

"What do I do when the urge comes about?"

"I don't understand much about males and this issue, but Twilight has a prayer support group when it comes to issues like this and she said the best thing one can do is get outside and exercise. It's a distraction and you burn up all of that sexual energy with your exercise."

Soarin' already knew that was true being a top tier athlete himself. He put his head down and said, "This is going to be extremely arduous for me, but I want to give that up too, for you."

"Don't do it just for me. Do it for God. You're not going to get through this on your own if you think that you can do this all by yourself. You need God to help you through this or you will fail and fall again. Soarin' look at me."

Soarin' picked his head up and looked at Rainbow.

"I know this is going to sound crazy, but I would like you to humble yourself and join Twilight's prayer support group," Rainbow said.

"But that's going to be so awkward for me to admit my sins and struggles in front of an entire group of ponies," Soarin' said.

"I know that sounds weird, but you have to trust me on this. Prayer support groups are really great and the information shared is strictly confidential. The last thing I want to see is for you to fall back into sexual perversions. Will you do it for God? Will you do it for me?"

Soarin' sighed and said, "Yeah, I promise that I will go to the group. I love you, Dash."

Rainbow gave him a hug and said, "I love you too, Soarin'! I know this is very difficult, but I promise that you're doing the right thing. We can talk to Twilight about everything later. Let's go visit her and tell her the good news about me and you."

Soarin' agreed and they both took off together.

Twilight Sparkle's Sin

View Online

"No, Pinkie Pie, just because you're getting a crazy Pinkie sense right now doesn't mean that you need to perform a check for any secret trap doors or hidden treasures. This is getting really annoying every time you ask me," Spike said.

Pinkie Pie was shaking like crazy and almost knocked over a bowl of potato chips that was next to her. "I don't know what to say, something major has happened and I can't tell if it's related to the game or not!" Pinkie Pie got out of her seat and began chasing her tail in circles.

Twilight Sparkle used her magic and summoned a helmet onto her head and hid under the table. "You girls might want to take cover. Do you all remember what happened the last time Pinkie Pie was going crazy like this?"

A few moments later the door opened and Rainbow Dash stepped inside.

Twilight peeked her head out. Her two eyes could be seen peering above the table. She took the helmet off and said, "Oh. It's just Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie. No need to act like the earth is going to be destroyed."

"Not just Rainbow Dash," Rainbow said.

"Huh?" Twilight said.

Rainbow Dash grinned a great big smile and called out, "Come on in and meet my friends!"

Soarin' stepped in and everypony gasped.

Twilight Sparkle blinked several times in disbelief. "What's Soarin' doing here, Rainbow?"

"Didn't I tell you that I felt called to wait for him? That was not my crazy emotions, Twilight, but that was God speaking to me."

Twilight shook her head quickly several times and said, "Do you mean to tell me that you're both back together?"

Rainbow Dash wrapped her front leg around Soarin's body and drew him near to her. "Yes!" she exclaimed. "He's mine and he gave his life to Christ today!"

"Oh no!" Twilight Sparkle cried out.

"What's wrong, Twi?" Rainbow asked. "You're not happy for us?"

"No!" Twilight cried out. "That's not it!" Twilight felt tears well up in her eyes and she threw herself to the floor and burrowed her face into her front legs.

Rainbow Dash and Soarin' looked at each other with confusion then walked over to where Twilight was.

All of the other ponies stared at Twilight with confusion.

"Hey Twi, why are you acting like this? There should be celebration and cheering. The Heavens are rejoicing for Soarin'," Rainbow said.

Twilight picked her head up and the ponies saw tears streaming down her face. She was distraught. "I have sinned big time and I have been telling you to not bother with him and forget all about him. Now I have been shown that I was in the wrong and I underestimated God and discouraged you from His will for you. I can't lead this group anymore and I need to step down as our leader. Please, somepony else take charge. I have done so much wrong. Rainbow Dash, tell me to step down as the leader of this group and I will."

Rainbow Dash put her front hoof on Twilight's shoulder and said, "Hey Twi, it's ok. It's not a really big deal to me. I told you that I wasn't going to let your words discourage me because I already felt that God was behind all of this. Let's not forget that Christ is the leader of our group and you're just like a Pastor to us. You made a mistake, but none of us are going to want you to step down because of that, right girls?"

The rest of the ponies agreed.

"Really?" Twilight asked. "I have been given great responsibility with this group and I shouldn't be making stupid mistakes like this. I'm so sorry, Rainbow Dash."

Rainbow Dash spread her front legs open and said, "Come on, Twi, get up and lead again. Even the greatest leaders, Kings, and Princesses make mistakes and stumble sometimes. There's no way that I want you to step down from leading our Sisters in Christ group."

Twilight wiped the tears away from her eyes and smiled. She got up and embraced her fellow sister in Christ with a great big hug. "Thank you so much girls. I don't deserve this. I love you all so much and I'll try harder next time!"

Everypony came in for a group hug with Twilight with Rainbow in the middle of it. When they broke free they turned their attention to Soarin'.

Twilight spoke up and said, "So Soarin', how did you end up back with Miss Dash again? What made you realize that Christ is worth following?"

Soarin' looked at her and replied, "I didn't realize just how horrible life would be without her. I'm sure she told you about what had happened between us. After I broke up with Rainbow Dash, I ended up seeing another mare and physically committed adultery with her. After that, I realized how empty and meaningless this relationship was and we quickly broke up. My heart was full of regret and sorrow and I realized just how wrong I was to disrespect Rainbow Dash and I came seeking to find forgiveness from her. I didn't ask to be taken back, nor did I want to be taken back because I felt like I was a disgrace and that God would not allow a pony, who is as pure as her, to be with somepony like me. I told her what had happened and she forgave me and took me back without even thinking about it. I was utterly amazed by this act of forgiveness and love, and I didn't understand how this was even possible. She told me that the love of Christ enables her to forgive and love others unconditionally. Right then and there, I realized that what I thought was a Christian, was just a secular and worldly version of Christianity. I wanted to follow and give my life to this one true God so that I may follow and grow in Rainbow Dash's faith. I also heard that Twilight Sparkle has a group here for ponies struggling with temptations and sin? I need to join this group."

"That's right," Twilight said. "We're a very humble and friendly group of ponies who support each other with prayers and comforting words. We are about building each other up and helping ponies work with God when it comes to overcoming temptations, be it substance abuse, alcohol, sexual temptations, addictions, and many other things."

"I really appreciate that and I will be joining. I have an issue with lust and I don't want it to get in the way of my relationship with Rainbow Dash, or God. I'd lose my mind if I lost her again."

"We're all here for you and you can even stop by my library any time for prayer or to ask questions about the Bible," Twilight said. "Many times, I'm very busy with groups or helping others, but I try to do what I can when it comes to taking time out to help, pray or teach other ponies. Is it ok with you that a mare gives Biblical advice and leads groups? If you want, I know some Christian stallions who are supportive and can really help you here. While my door is always open to help you, I just think you will be more comfortable among your own sex and peers about this issue. It's not a terribly big deal to me and I can help you out either way. I understand that it can be nerve racking to tell a mare in a group about personal lusting problems."

"I want to be taught by you," Soarin' admitted. "Rainbow Dash talks so much about you and your knowledge of the Bible. I trust that she knows what she's talking about and so do you."

Twilight Sparkle blushed a bit at the compliment and said, "Thank you so much. We'll help you out in every way that we can. Thanks for trusting me as well. Hey Soarin', would you like to write a letter to the Princess?"

Soarin' had a rather unsure look on his face. "I don't know. I have never written a letter to the Princess before."

"I'll write it with you," Rainbow said. "I'll go first. Ready, Twilight?"

Twilight Sparkle brought out a quill and a scroll. She got ready to write, but she got distracted when she felt a tug at her tail. She turned around to see Spike looking up at her with sad eyes.

"Can I be useful and write a letter, Twilight?" Spike asked.

Twilight smiled and used her magic to levitate the quill and scroll into Spike's claws. "Sure you can, Spike."

Spike got ready to write and Rainbow Dash began her letter, "Dear Princess Celestia, Today I learned that it's best to never give up hope, and if you feel that God is truly calling you to do something, then you should listen and be patient, no matter what others may think. Something hurt my relationship with Soarin' very badly and we spent some time away, but I refused to move on without him. I waited, prayed, and even fasted for Soarin' no matter what, and he came back. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this stallion and I am so grateful to have him back in my life. There's one certain Bible verse that I learned and it helped me stay strong through this storm. The verse is from the book of Romans and it says, But we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." Rainbow Dash looked at Soarin' as if to say that she was finished speaking and that it was his turn to speak.

"Dear Princess Celestia, This is Soarin'. I'm still in shock and awed by what has happened today. I hurt Rainbow Dash very badly in the past and I did not respect her morals or her beliefs. I got lost in lust and anger and I was upset because I felt that I somehow deserved her body even though we were not married yet. I didn't understand the value or importance of marriage before and I came back seeking forgiveness because I felt that I needed to at least apologize to her for my wrong doings. I didn't expect her to forgive me and I most certainly didn't expect her to take me back after what I had done and what I had told her what happened between me and my other ex. She not only forgave me, but she took me back without a second thought. I can't figure this all out, but I truly don't deserve somepony as good and as pure as her. I realized that what I thought about Christianity was just a secular and worldly form of it and I didn't really understand much about real Christianity, until the love of Christ showed up to me through Rainbow Dash. I wanted to follow this one true God because I had never seen such love, grace, and forgiveness before and I had never really taken the time to consider how great the sacrifice of Christ was. Rainbow Dash accepted me even though she didn't have to and I gave my life to Christ today. I don't want to be a lukewarm Christian. I want to help show the love of Christ to others." Soarin' put his head down to signify that he was finished.

"And I'd like to add something too," Twilight said. "Dear Princess Celestia, This is Twilight Sparkle speaking. Today I learned that you have to respect others when they tell you that they feel that they are being called by God, even if it sounds ludicrous and unbelievable. I have seen a lot of hurt ponies struggling to move on in support groups when it comes to heartbreak. I felt that Rainbow Dash was in a danger zone by her waiting, fasting, and praying for Soarin'. I thought that all of this was just holding her back from moving on in life. I was blind and I did not see that God was having her do something far more amazing than I could have ever figured out. I felt terrible about what I had said to Rainbow Dash and wanted to step down from our group, but Rainbow Dash forgave me and she and the rest of the girls didn't want me to step down. I am humbled by what has happened and I am so grateful that I have such wonderful friends. All praise and glory belong to Him. The Heavens rejoice for Soarin' because his sins have been washed away by the precious blood of the Lamb. Yours truly, Twilight Sparkle, Soarin', and Rainbow Dash."

Spike finished writing and used his magical dragon fire breath to send the letter away to the Princess. He looked back at the ponies and said, "So it looks like it's time to celebrate." Spike paused for a moment. "Uh oh, have any of you seen Pinkie Pie?"

The door to the library had burst open and Pinkie Pie entered the library with her party cannon. "Surprise!" She yelled out and blasted Rainbow Dash and Soarin' with the canon.

A blast of confetti and party streamers almost knocked them off of their hooves. The couple stood there dazed.

Pinkie Pie ran up to them and wrapped her front legs around them. She drew them closer to herself and began talking as fast as she possibly could. "Oh my gosh, it's the perfect time for a party and we'll have games, food, music, dancing, fun and..."

"Pinkie..." Rainbow Dash interrupted.

"Oh yeah! Sorry," Pinkie said as she bent down and pulled out two party hats and put them on their heads. She also brought out two party horns and shoved them into Soarin's and Rainbow Dash's mouths. "And as I was saying, you're going to have lots and lots of foals and..."

Rainbow Dash spit her party horn out of her mouth and said, "Pinkie! You might want to give us time and let us get married first before that idea can even be considered."

"My bad," Pinkie said. "You can get married first, but we still need to party!" Pinkie Pie giggled madly and bounced around the couple.

Soarin' took out the party horn that was shoved into his mouth. He looked over at Rainbow Dash with a look of extreme worry and confusion on his face.

"Don't worry about Pinkie Pie," Rainbow whispered. "She can be a few apples short of a bushel sometimes, but she means well."

Soarin' smiled a nervous little grin. He had never seen such a crazy and manic pony before.

Twilight Sparkle used her magic to levitate her little Dungeons and Dragons figurine of her character near Rainbow Dash's face and said, "So does this also mean that you'll be playing Dungeons and Dragons with us again?"

Rainbow grinned a great big smile and said, "Awwww yeah! I've got to get my figurine and I'll be back in action!"

Soarin' stared at the little figurine for a moment and said, "Hey, do you think I can join in your game too?"

"Sure!" Twilight said. "I love to create and write stories, and I can write up a story about how you found us in the game. Rarity makes great sculptures of the figurines and she can create just about anything you can imagine."

"That's fine," Soarin' said. "But I want to model my character very specifically."

"How would you like me to go about that?" Rarity asked.

"I just want to model her after my hero." Soarin' wrapped his front leg around Rainbow and pulled her close to him. "This girl right here."

Rainbow's cheeks blushed. "Aw, come on! I'm not that great!" She paused for a moment and then added, "But I am kind of awesome."

All of Rainbow's friends looked at her with a bit of concern.

Rainbow Dash picked up on their concern and added, "But that's only because of God."

Twilight Sparkle giggled and said, "It sounds like Rainbow Dash has improved with her humility too."

"There's always room to improve when it comes to humility and Rainbow Dash," Applejack said.

Twilight Sparkle glared at Applejack with anger.

"What?!" Applejack said. "I'm just bein' honest!"

"Never mind," Twilight said with a sigh.

Pinkie Pie put on a party hat and positioned it in such a way that it was on top of her forehead. "Look, Twilight Sparkle! I'm a unicorn too!"

"That's really cute, Pinkie Pie," Twilight said as she turned her attention back to Soarin' and Rainbow Dash.

"No, look!" Pinkie Pie said.

Twilight looked back at Pinkie Pie.

The party hat on Pinkie Pie's forehead glowed with magic and she levitated a potato chip in mid air and then ate it. She then giggled madly.

One of Twilight's eyes began twitching at the sight. "Don't try to figure her out. Don't do it, Twilight. Don't," she whispered to herself.

There was an awkward moment of silence for a little while because of what Pinkie Pie had just done, until everyone turned to see that Fluttershy was throwing salt over her left shoulder and they heard her mumbling some words.

"Fluttershy, what exactly are ya doin?" Applejack asked.

"Fluttershy perked up and hid the salt behind her back. "I was, uh, just keeping Satan away because I heard he lurks over our left shoulder since God always talks about the right side."

"You know that's just superstition, right?" Twilight asked.

"Oh, I didn't know that, but it sounded reasonable to me," Fluttershy said.

"Why are you doing that anyway?" Rarity asked.

Fluttershy looked at them with a very serious expression on her face. "Because I thought that God was very angry and was punishing us by having Rainbow Dash go through a really hard time and my animal critter friends were getting sick. I started throwing salt over my left shoulder to counter act all the bad stuff going on and now Rainbow Dash is back with Soarin' and my animal critter friends have been healed recently."

"Why do you think God would be punishing us," Rarity asked.

"It's not obvious?" Fluttershy asked.

Everyone in the room had no idea what Fluttershy was thinking.

"I thought God was punishing us because we started playing Dungeons and Dragons," she admitted.

Everyone in the room started cracking up.

"Hey! What's so funny!?" Fluttershy demanded to know as she put her two front hooves on her hips.

Twilight Sparkle contained her giggling and said, "Fluttershy, we really have to work on your issues with this game." Twilight Sparkle took a party hat from Pinkie Pie and said, "But right now, it's party time!"

The end.
