A rift opens into a dimension whose inhabitants are the exact opposite of the ponies of Equestria
Due to a failure of the ponies who lived before Equestria, a spacial alignment that would normally be nothing, instead opens up a portal to an alternate dimension which is home to a world that's inhabitants are the exact opposites of the ponies living in Equestria. As an attempt to stop the evil ponies within this alternate universe from destroying the wonderful world of Equestria, Celestia sends in an A team to hold down the world for the three years the portal will remain open.
"No... NO GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Twilight screamed at the monster staring her down. She was in the middle of a destroyed Ponyville. She had thought the town was a wreck after that parasprite attack a while back, but this was on an entire new level. Most residents were already dead, with there carcasses now scattered all over the streets. All of the buildings were either burned to the ground and nearly nonexistent or still burning towards the former condition. The few ponies that were still alive were running out of the town as fast as possible. Unfortunately this was more difficult than it would usually be, because of fallen debris littering the streets.
"Oh, come on Miss Sparkle. You know I won't do that. We've been over this before." The monster said in an evil tone that echoed on itself off of every word. Just hearing it incited fear into anypony, and Twilight was no exception.
The monster reminded Twilight of Owlicious. It seemed to be part owl and part bird, except neither at the same time. It was giant, probably about the size of 3 or 4 ponies stacked on top of each other. It had the head of an owl, and could turn its head like one. This only made the monster even more scary looking. Its body and wings were that of a bird's. Everything about the monster scared the living daylights out of everypony in town. The most terrifying thing about it was not it itself. The monster was a machine that somepony constructed. It was an AI (artificial intelligence) and the scariest thing was that somepony with a mind this powerful and demented was out there, hiding away waiting for the perfect moment to take over the world or something.
Twilight had tried using her magic on it, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't even cast a spell. She figured the AI was emitting some sort of anti-magic spell barrier that was stopping her abilities from activating.
She knew she had no chance, nopony did. They were all going to fall this monstrosity and its creator and there was nothing anypony could do about it. It was the worst feeling in the world for a genius like Twilight.
She saw her life flash before her eyes as the AI moved in for the kill. The monsters abilities were endless. It opened its beak and let out an ear-piercing screech quickly followed by a deadly blast of fire scorching Twilight who was paralyzed in fear and had given up on trying to escape a while ago. No matter what she did to avoid the AIs deadly attacks, it would stare her down with those creepy glaring yellow eyes whenever she turned the corner.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Twilight screamed as she shot up in bed. She was sweating profusely and breathing rapidly. She looked like she was on the verge of crying as well. The nightmare seemed so real, and in it she had witnessed everything and everypony she loved and cared for die a horrible, horrifying death.
"That nightmare again?" Spike asked, woken up by Twilight's screaming.
"Hmhm." She mumbled in response. It was the fifth night in row she had had that same nightmare.
The first night she had it and woke up screaming and in a terrible condition, she scared the crap out of Spike. After five nights, he had gotten used to it, unfortunately Twilight hasn't.
"You still gonna refuse to see a Psychiatrist?" Spike asked as he got out of bed.
"Maybe... maybe, it would be a good idea." She replied. After the second night in a row of her having it, Spike asked if she had wanted to go to one. She promptly refused saying it would be a waste of time and money and it would go away on its own. Obviously it wasn't and something was wrong, very wrong. "I'll call Doctor Whooves in the morning and see if he can take me or make a recommendation for somewhere else." She added, still shook up from the nightmare. It had seemed so real, she thought to herself.
"OK, are you gonna be fine this time? Cuz I'm exhausted and could use a few more hours." Spike asked sleepily.
"Ya, sure I'll be fine. It was only a dream. Although I doubt I'm gonna sleep again, I'll be downstairs." She replied a bit more alert.
"OK goodnight.... again." Spike said before quickly dozing off again.
Twilight trotted into the bathroom and splashed some cold water on her face and then got a glass of water to drink.
"It was only a dream," She quietly said to herself, "not reality, and it never will be." She knew it was all a dream, but the fact was that it felt so real. She had dreamed before, and didn't remember everything being as it was in this one, and she didn't mean the plot. Every time she thought about it and remembered it, it seemed even more like reality than the last time. After five whole days and nights of this, she eventually had the small back of her mind convinced that it was real, but she knew better.
After the second night and Spike suggesting to go see somepony about this, she had read some books she found on neuroscience and psychology. Nothing had seemed to make sense about this recurring dream. Usually it had something to do with real life, but she couldn't think of anything at all in her life that was related and translated too a giant mechanical AI destroying the town and killing everypony. She didn't want to talk to her friends about it either. It was just too horrifying, and none of them knew as much about this type of thing as she did anyways.
The back of her mind kept nagging her saying it was pointless to keep looking through all her books and that she wouldn't find anything. She ignored this part of her and relentlessly told it to shut up, as she continued to read everything she could find on the matter.
As she was ripping books off of the shelves, she saw one story book. She screamed as loud as she had when she woke up upon seeing the cover. The creature on it reminded or of the AI in her nightmare. It looked just as she had pictured it. She knew that it was just a book and that it could in no way hurt her. She also knew that every image in a dream comes from something seen in real life, or translated from something in real life. It made sense that the monster would be from one of her books, seeing as they were her life, aside from her friends.
"Twilight! Are you OK?" Spike said running downstairs.
"Y.. ya." She choked out still a bit shocked from the vision of it. "I just found this book, and see this monster on it?" She said as she levitated the book in front of Spike's face. "It looks exactly like the one in my nightmare." She finished.
"One Last Try to Save Them All: A book of Philosophy by Al-Sean Eye." Spike read.
Spike grabbed the book to see what was in it, at the same time Twilight began levitating it over to her desk. This resulted in her pulling Spike off of the halfway mark of the stairwell and causing him to slip and fall all the way down the remainder of them.
"What? Spike did you trip?" She turned around and asked as she saw the purple dragon lying on the ground in front of the stairs.
"You could say that..." Spike said while he got up. "Don't worry, I'm fine."
Twilight finished her trip to her desk and opened the the book to see what she had apparently written. On the inside cover page a message was written in pen:
If you've found this book and are reading this message, then chances are, it has already begun. Read this entire book, cover to cover and memorize everything. Peace cannot last forever, and a great empire cannot survive in prosperity forever.
"It has a message to me on the cover, something is coming. I don't think my dream is just a dream anymore." Twilight said terrified at all of this. "You can go back to sleep, I'm gonna read this book and see what its about."
"OK, goodnight." Spike said as he began ascending the stairs. "I hope." He added inaudibly.
Twilight flipped through the pages and a look of great confusion grew on her face with every page she turned. She was staring at blank pages. Every single page after that message was blank, they had no words. Hoping there was something in there she didn't stop till she hit the end. On the last page of the book her confusion grew even more. There was something written there, but it only made matters worse. It simply said:
GG; Game Over.
She didn't want to bother Spike again, but she had to send this to Princess Celestia. She knew the teleportation spell that was needed, but it took a lot of energy. She thought that this would be worth the cost, and there was always the chance of Spike accidentally burning the book instead of sending it.
She flipped through the pages a second time, this time backwards, to see if she happened to miss something. She knew nothing would be there, but she had to look anyways. she got back to the first blank page and nearly screamed. Where it was once blank, it was not anymore. Even worse, the writing hadn't stopped and it was in a different language. Throughout all of Equestria and the books, to Twilight's knowledge, there was only one language invented: Ponish. Twilight had no idea what this book was, but she knew it was nothing normal.
She quickly took out a quill and a piece of paper and began using her magic to write a letter to Celestia to send along with the mysterious book.
"Dear Princess Celestia," She said to herself as she wrote it down.
"I have recently been having a recurring nightmare for five nights of a half bird and half owl mechanic AI creature destroying the world. I just recently found the attached book and on the cover, it shows the monster in my dreams. At first I saw this book had absolutely no words in it. I looked through it a second time a minute later only to notice, it was writing itself in a different language! I was wondering if you could maybe make sense of any of this insanity.
Your Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle"
She reread her letter to see if there was anything to change or add, when there wasn't she quickly sent the letter with the book before she drove herself insane from all of this.
"I need some fresh air to clear my head..." She said as she got up to take a walk. It was the middle of the night and pitch black out, but she didn't care. She knew the town map like the back of her hand anyways.
She nearly collapsed and just began crying her eyes out when she stepped outside. Everything bad was happening to her. It was endless torture. One week, she was having a wonderful time and as happy as always, then the next, endless torture. Especially this night. First she has the worlds worst nightmare again, next she finds a creepy ass book, and now this.
She stared up at the brand new structure. It was the middle of the night and pitch black out, yet she could see it as clear as day. It seemed to radiate light and was purposely built to be seen from all over. It looked as if it were miles and miles away from Ponyville, but it was taller than anything she had ever seen. It was a spire. It stretched all the way up and probably touched the sky. It definitely went through the clouds. It seemed to have its own clouds surrounding it anyways. It was like the epitome of haunted houses, except much larger. It just had a creepy vibe to it.
Something told her that this spire had a connection to the strange book and her dream. She just dearly hoped that it wasn't going to be the house of that horrible monster and its creator.
She decided to go back inside and go back to bed. She hoped that this was all a continuation of her nightmare and she would wake up to another normal day. She still would have to go see a doctor, because dream or not, she couldn't handle any more of this.
Twilight was able to quickly fall back asleep, as she was so exhausted and wanted nothing more to escape this hell.
She woke up the next morning feeling better and believing none of what she saw was real.
"Twilight! Your finally up. Princess Celestia sent you a letter, with another copy of that book you found last night for some reason." Spike said as he saw Twilight getting up.
Her good mood immediately dropped down after realizing that she hadn't dreamed it and it was reality. Something terrible was about to happen, she knew it.
"Thanks Spike." She said in a partly depressed tone as she took the letter and opened it and read it to herself.
Dear Twilight,
I don't know whats going on, or anything about this book. However, the language I do know. It was used a very long time ago and no one from this or the past few generations would know it. It is called Excrilik. I was able to translate what it said, and it does not sound good. It talks about the beginning of some prophecy and it doesn't sound good. I have never heard of this before and unfortunately I cannot tell what happens next. When it arrived to me, I saw it continue writing and then stop after only a minute more. The only thing I can think this means is it might be writing a story as it happens in real life. If this is the case, then this is bad, very bad. I want you to write back immediately.
The translation of the text is as follows:
'Intro:
It will all begin once the spire has shown. The spire is a magical artifact. It will only show itself when the alignment occurs. What is this alignment? A few million years ago lived a society that was very advanced, in fact more advanced than Equestria currently is. Back then this land was called Arcadia. Every society must end and every empire must fall, peace cannot last forever, even when everything seems perfect.
A group of scientists were experimenting with technology that would allow them to use teleportation for Earth ponies and Pegasi, and even Unicorns. Unicorns could already teleport, but the energy and strain to use it is very high, and even so they cannot go very far and are restricted to known locations. This machine would allow everypony to teleport anywhere in the world at any time. Unfortunately, the machine backfired on a test. It teleported the ponies who used it yes, but the destination was horribly incorrect. Instead of staying in the same dimension, they were ported to the Dark-Matter-Verse in the location they chose previously.
The Dark-Matter-Verse is nicknamed the DMV and it is the opposite of this world. The ponies that inhabit the DMV act as the exact opposite of the ponies in this world. For example, if a pony here is very generous, kind, and helpful, in the DMV they will be cruel, destructive, heartless, ruthless, and they will show no mercy to anypony.
Ponies going to the DMV from the original world and vice versa, is even worse than the DMV itself. The power to warp between the two will open up a rift. This rift will eventually combine the two worlds. If they combine, then all hope is lost as both dimensions will erupt and be completely, 100%, destroyed. The scientists knew this and they had to figure out a way to stop it.
The spire was created in order to do this. It was built to hold the two dimensions together, but once every million years its power begins to overload. Once this overload happens it will take 3 years for it to cool down. For this 3 year time span, the creatures that inhabit either dimension will have the ability to walk between the two using the spire. The dimensions will not be able to combine though.
This is especially a problem for the original world. The ponies that inhabit the DMV are mostly dark and evil creatures bent on destruction. If they discover that they can walk between the two dimensions, they will come into the original world and take over. They will have the power as well. Evil will always be stronger than good. Dark is more powerful than light. It is the unfortunate truth. In the storybooks the good will always beat the odds and defeat the villains. This is real life though, and this isn't always the case, but the inhabitants of the original world must try. They must hold back these ponies for the 3 years. The easiest way to do this is to have a team of ponies enter the DMV and stop them from ever finding out. Another solution is to have an entire army guard the spire and kill anything that exits it. Although, if one pony does manage to sneak through, it isn't that hard to say their counterpart in Equestria is the one from the DMV.
If the ponies who enter the DMV are spotted by there counterparts, they will know something is up. They aren't stupid, they will research and figure it out. If the squad is found by their counterparts, they will have no choice but to kill them and hide the bodies where no one will ever find them, or at least until the spire disappears.'
If this is the case, and this is reality, then I will be assembling a team to go into the DMV and guard the spire and stop them from discovering its properties.
Currently my idea for the ponies to be my A team in the DMV, I am thinking you and your friends if it is OK with all of you. You all stopped Discord and Nightmare Moon before when the rest of the Equestria was clueless, I believe you girls are the best for the job. Please write back once the six of you have either declined or accepted. I will be sending in Luna with you as well. I would go, but I must watch over this kingdom. I will also be creating a B team for if the ponies within the DMV manage to cross into our world, and they will be guarding the spire on our side constantly.

"Oh my gosh..." Twilight muttered to herself scared to death. What she had just read was horrifying, it sent chills down her spine with every sentence. She knew she had to go in, whether she wanted to or not. Her dreams must be true, and if that is the case, she knew the power and weakness of the AI beast. Chances are dealing with the counterparts of Equestria's ponies would be much more difficult though.
She imagined what Fluttershy's counterpart would be like. Fluttershy was the kindest, shyest, and most helpful pony in the world. That would mean that her counterpart would be cruel, ruthless, and more insane than Discord. Thinking of this sent more shivers down her spine. She didn't want to think about how the rest of the ponies would be. She didn't know a single evil soul in Equestria, meaning there wouldn't be a single kind soul in the DMV.
"Twilight? Are you OK? What does the letter say." Spike asked concerned. Twilight looked scared half to death, in fact she didn't even look as scared as she felt.
"It says... we're fucked." She muttered monotonously in reply.
"What?" Spike asked even more concerned.
"Go... go look outside and tell me what is different." She told him.
"Um OK..." Spike said as he began to walk outside confused.
As soon as he exited the house he re-entered, except now with a half confused and half scared look on his face.
"What the hay is that thing?!" He finally choked out.
In reply, Twilight explained everything in the letter. He already knew about her dreams so that made life a bit easier on the explanation. She didn't want to trouble the little dragon and scare him this bad, but she had no choice. This was very important. She left out the part about her going in for the time now, she would tell him after she rallied the other five of her friends.
The little dragon was stunned at all of this. He couldn't seem to comprehend it, because of how terrible it truly was. "Well... what are we gonna do?! How are we gonna survive if there are monsters like that that will be entering into our world!" He eventually choked out after a moment of shocked silence.
"Well, Celestia wants to create an A and a B team. The A team goes in and stop them from entering, and the B team guards the spire on our side of it in case they do manage to get through." She said. She decided it would be easier to just tell him now, instead of later, even though she didn't want to. "Celestia wants Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Luna, and me to go in as the A team. I'm going to rally the others now." She then added. "I wonder how everypony else is handling seeing a giant structure as foreign as that in the sky."
"You can't go! You'll die in there! At least take me with you!" Spike cried out.
"I'm sorry, but its to dangerous for you. Its probably too dangerous for anypony, especially a baby dragon." She said sadly. She then got a terrifying image in her mind. What if the Spike in the DMV is a full grown deadly fire breathing dragon! She quickly pushed it out as she made the excuse that if that was the case, then everypony else there would be extremely old and unable to do anything at all.
"So Twilight, are you afraid yet?" A voice suddenly said to her. The voice didn't even have to say words to incite fear. Its voice echoed off of every word and its tone was evil, dark, insane, and malicious already. Just from the tone she could understand that it wanted to torture her.
Her heart stopped beating and she nearly fainted. Not only did the voice sound horrifying, she had heard it before. She couldn't feel the emotion of its voice in her nightmares, but she knew for a fact that the voice came from the AI bird.
"Sp...Sp...Sp...Spike, did y...you hear that?" She stuttered out.
"Hear what? I didn't hear anything except us." Spike said confused again. "Are you OK?"
"Of course he can't hear me. How could he hear what does not exist?" The AI said. "Because I like to play with my prey before I destroy it all. I will give you and your pathetic friends one little hint. Nopony within the DMV knows the portal exists. They're just as confused as you are, or were. But I know it is there, well if I didn't I wouldn't be talking to you. I am the keeper of the spire. Another failure of those Arcadians, I was supposed to guard the spire in case a rift would open. I decided to instead burn them to the ground. It was much more fun, except now I'm trapped in this stupid spire, well for the next three years I'm free to have some fun though." The voice laughed. Its laugh wasn't nearly as terrifying as its voice was though. It was much worse. It made her feel like she was about to die within the seconds, even if the AI hadn't said anything. "OH! Yes, one more thing. Your precious elements of harmony won't work this time. Just thought you should know. Goodbye for now, until we meet again, but this time not in a dream, not in your mind, but in real life." It said before leaving her mind. Twilight could feel a weight being lifted off her head as it left. With it she felt the nightmares go away as well from her thoughts.
"Oh never mind, its nothing." Twilight said feeling a bit better from the monster leaving her. "And yes, I'm sure." She then added predicting Spikes next words would be 'Are you sure?'. "I better get going though. I'm going to tell the mayor to give an announcement saying the spire is nothing, don't want the entire town freaking out, and then I'm gonna rally the others so that we can report back to Celestia, then go into hell."
Twilight quickly left the house to deliver her messages. She decided to go see the Mayor first, it would help the masses. Ponies were already outside talking and wondering about what that new structure was. Twilight would have loved to stop and tell them all about what it was, or more specifically tell them it was nothing just to stop the worrying, but she didn't have the time. She quickly sped up and trotted over to the Mayors office.
"Oh hello Twilight, do you happen to know what the hay that monstrosity is?" The Mayor asked. She was already outside her office staring curiously at the spire.
"Actually, that's what I came to talk to you about. Its nothing, I'm sure everypony in town is wondering about that thing, but its nothing of importance. Would you mind delivering the message to the town?" Twilight said lying through her teeth.
"Ya sure, but are you sure its nothing? Buildings that touch the sky don't pop up over night Miss Sparkle." The Mayor asked suspiciously.
"Yes I'm sure, just an experiment. In fact, me, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash will be gone for a while, specifically to the spire. I'd tell more, but its classified information Celestia says." Twilight replied. She felt bad about keeping everypony in the dark about this, but she was certain they wouldn't be affected by it. She would have to remind Celestia not to tell them as well.
"OK, if you say so." The Mayor said still a bit suspicious. "I'll go and deliver the message now." She continued as she began to walk away to rally everypony in town for the message.
Twilight quickly trotted off to find the rest. She started at Pinkie's for the sole reason of she's the closest. As an afterthought she figured Pinkie could fetch Rainbow in the clouds with her hot air balloon.
"Twilight! Hiya!" Twilight heard the familiar ecstatic voice come from behind her. She quickly stopped mid-trot and looked behind to see Pinkie Pie bouncing happily towards her. "I was just coming to see you! I thought if anypony would know what that thingy is" she said as she pointed towards the spire "it would be you!"
"Hey Pinkie, I was actually just on my way to talk about that, but first I want to get the others. Would you mind taking your hot air balloon up to fetch Rainbow Dash then bring her to the library?" Twilight asked.
"Sure thing! See ya later Twilight!" She said as she began bouncing back to Sugarcube Corner.
"Well that was easy, two down, three to go." Twilight silently muttered to herself as she quickly began trotting towards Rarity's.
When Twilight arrived at Rarity's she didn't see her outside, so chances are she was inside working instead of wondering about the spire. She walked up and began knocking at the door.
"Be right there." She then heard Rarity call from inside as she walked over to the door. "Oh hello Twilight, what brings......" She trailed off when she finally noticed the spire scaling the sky behind Twilight. "Um what is that? Its hideous!" She asked pointing to it.
"Its what I came to talk to you about." Twilight said. "Although first I'm getting everyone together, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash should already be on there way to the library, I'ma go get Fluttershy and Applejack then I'll meet you back there."
"Oh well I can make your life easier dear. Applejack is already over here, she stayed over night helping me with some work. I'll go get her and meet you back at the library in a few." Rarity said.
"OK, I'll see ya in a bit." Twilight said as she waved goodbye and began trotting over to Fluttershy's cottage. She did wonder why Rarity asked Applejack to help her, when out of anypony she could care the least about fashion.
She quickly arrived at Fluttershy's cottage to find her outside tending to a group of bunnies. Either she hadn't noticed the giant skyscraper behind her, or she was just ignoring it and saying her animals were more important than her curiosity.
"Fluttershy!" Twilight called out to her as she approached Fluttershy.
"Well for starters, that." She said as she pointed a hoof towards the tower.
"Oh ya, I noticed that a while ago. I figured it didn't concern me and was probably nothing important, so I just ignored it." She said calmly. She was the first pony to think nothing of it Twilight had seen. As she ran throughout the town she had seen ponies everywhere wondering about it and they would continue to till the Mayor delivered the message.
"I actually came to talk to you about that thing, because unfortunately it is far from nothing. The others are back at my library, Celestia has a mission for us, come on lets go." Twilight asked.
"But what about the animals? They need my help right now, are you sure we can't do this later?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well I'd say yes, but if we do, there may not be any animals left to help." Twilight said trying to persuade her to come with her.
"OK fine, if that's what you want." She said being her normal door-mat self. The one time being that way would help her, was now.
The two quickly flew and trotted back to the library. They didn't have much to say, mostly because Fluttershy was always so quiet and Twilight had a million things on her mind and was too busy in there to talk. By the time they both arrived back at Twilight's, they were both exhausted. Moreover Twilight was as she had ran there and back, and she wasn't the most active pony to begin with. She always spent so much time studying that she didn't exercise regularly.
"Hey Twilight, so why'd you call us all over here?" Pinkie said as she greeted her.
"Ya, whats goin on here?" Applejack asked.
"Well, Celestia has a mission for us. It all has to do with that spire." Twilight began. She then proceeded to explain about her recurring nightmares then read them the letter she got from Celestia. The only thing she left out was the weird AI talking to her telepathically, she just thought they would find her crazy with that.
"Well that's insanity!" Rarity was the first to speak. They all had reacted to it with increasing horror, much like Twilight did except they weren't brinking on insanity from the rest of it. "I'm guessing you already agreed to go though Twilight?" She then asked with a small sigh.
"Of course, its either that or we all die; that's how I see it." Twilight said.
"Well I'm in, I'd hate to leave you hanging, and I guess it sounds like an adventure too." Rainbow Dash said trying to act confident over all of them. Even so, it was easy to see through her and see she was scared as well.
"Ah reckon ah'll come too." Applejack said. "Ah guess you're right, do or die as they say."
"Well, I guess I'm in too." Rarity agreed.
"Oh me too! It would be boring staying here without you four anyways!" Pinkie said. She was the only one who actually didn't seem scared at all.
"Maybe I can just stay back and help the ponies here? I'd probably just slow you all down anyways." Fluttershy said quietly, obviously nervous and scared.
"Come on, we need you. I promise you'll be fine." Twilight said trying to persuade her.
"It doesn't sound like it from what you said." She replied.
"Don't worry Fluttershy, I won't let anypony harm you. You'll be safe." Rainbow Dash said. The rest followed trying to pressure her into coming. They knew they needed everypony, it was like the time they had to kick a dragon out of Equestria. Fluttershy had tried to refuse to come.
"OK... fine. I'll come, I guess." Fluttershy said not enthusiastic about her decision at all.
"Well, then I guess its unanimous. We've saved the world twice, I'm sure we can do it again. We have the most practice out of anypony as well." Twilight joked. "I'll send Celestia a letter and see what we have to do next." She said as she quickly levitated out a quill and paper to start her letter telling their decisions.
It only took a quick moment for Celestia's reply to arrive. Twilight ripped it open and read it out loud as fast as it had arrived.
"Dear Twilight and friends,
I am glad to hear you all have made your decisions so quickly, and I'm also even happier to hear a unanimous 'for' vote. For now, you'll all have to just wait around for a bit. Luna will be coming to Twilight's library ASAP with a totem. The totem will be able to teleport all of you to the spire. Be careful, I'm sure you'll all be fine at the end of all of this.

Well, I guess we don't have anything left to do except wait." Twilight said anxiously.
They ended up waiting for about thirty minutes until Luna finally arrived. They ended up filling up the time by nervously talking about how the other world will be while playing the board game 'Candy Land'. Pinkie had chosen it because it had the word candy in it and the box was covered in pictures of candy. She tried to eat the box hoping it would taste as good as it looked, but unfortunately it didn't. It only managed to get Twilight a bit annoyed.
The thing that worried them the most was the fact that the ponies in the DMV would be opposites of the ones here. They figured that this must mean they have something like the elements of dis-harmony. Which then would mean that the mane six there would be the most evil and deadly ponies ever, since they were the kindest.
Using the information they knew they drew mental pictures of how each of their counterparts would act.

Twilightx would be the least of their problems they thought. Since Twilight was such a genius, then that meant that Twilightx would be the stupidest pony ever. It was a complement to Twilight in an odd way.
Applejackx would probably be lazy and weak as heck. After discussing her and Twilight's counterparts, it made them feel a bit better. Knowing that at least some of the ponies on the DMV would be weak and pathetic and not cause any trouble to them while they were over there. It brought a small smile to there faces for a while, until they remembered how evil some of them would also be. Fluttershyx and Pinkie Piex would be the worst they thought. The worlds kindest pony and the worlds happiest and friendliest pony couldn't have a very passive counterpart.
Fluttershyx would be the epitome of evil. They figured that she would be cruel and ruthless. If they had a person in charge of torture and punishment and prison, she would be the leader of it all. It scared Fluttershy the most, since she of all ponies knew what Fluttershyx would be like. Since she was so kind and helpful to all ponies and animals, they figured that Fluttershyx would take joy in killing. Fluttershy was already near crying from all the darkness being told about her counterpart. They didn't want to say it for Fluttershy's sake, but they were all thinking it, that if Fluttershy took care of animals, then Fluttershyx would be skinning them and using them for her own evil pleasure or making fur coats or anything of the sort.
Pinkie Piex wouldn't be as terrible as Fluttershyx. They figured she would be much like Pinkie was during the time they through her a surprise party, except maybe a bit more insane and reckless. They thought she would definitely be more violent and not taking anything lightly. If Pinkie Piex was there instead of Pinkie during the surprise party, she may have decided to harm them instead of just running her mouth at them.
Rainbow Dashx would probably be trouble as well. Since Rainbow was the element of loyalty, chances were that Rainbowx would be a spy and a master of espionage. It made them worry that she might try extra hard to replace herself with Rainbow if they discovered that counterparts of them were in the DMV. They had a fear that any of them might try to do it, or that even somepony may fake being nice just to get them in there grasp. They agreed that they would have to make some sort of password or code along with not trusting anypony who didn't enter the DMV with them.
They couldn't quite picture what the opposite of Rarity would be and if she would be trouble or not. Since Rarity is obsessed with fashion to no end and she is the element of generosity, then that would mean Rarityx would be stubborn and filthy. That didn't make much sense to them as a personality, but they couldn't think of anything different. They eventually just sighed and said they'd probably see eventually. Chances are, they thought, that their predictions weren't all going to be correct anyways.
"Hello girls." Luna said as she walked in. The girls were still discussing and imagining the horrors that lay ahead of them, they were so into it along with there intense game of Candy Land, they didn't notice Luna. Even though she was using her traditional royal Canterlot voice. "Hello? Is anypony there?" She asked moving closer to them.
"What? Oh hey Princess Luna, welcome. Do you have the totem thing?" Twilight said finally realizing she had another guest in her house. The other five also greeted their royal guest afterwards.
"Yes, it's right here." She said as she levitated it out of her saddle bag over to Twilight. "All you have to do is smash it on the ground and everypony in a 20yard radius will be ported to the designated location, in our case the great spire." She added telling Twilight the instructions, as she had been looking at it confusedly wondering how to use the device. It had had no buttons or switches or anything. It was just an hourglass with sand magically bouncing around inside of it. The sand was going up and down bouncing off the edges, as if they were rubber.
"OK then no point in waiting, everypony ready?" Twilight promptly asked. Her question was then followed with five very ready voices who were ready for adventure and one not so ready 'yes', and one dragon who didn't want to see them leave. Twilight had told Spike before that she had made arrangements for him to stay with Celestia and be her assistant until they all got back. Spike still complained saying he wanted to come, but Twilight wouldn't budge.
Spike then said his goodbyes, and so did the seven ponies, as he went outside to take the carriage back to Canterlot Castle.
"OK so everypony clump up now, and lets go." Twilight said as everypony got into position. She then promptly smashed the totem on the ground in the center of them. In the next second all they could see was sand. If it wasn't magical sand, then it would have certainly covered them inside and out. They didn't feel anything, nor could they see anything. The sand seemed to encase them all in a shell that stopped any movement as well.
Only after about a minute did the sand finally clear up. Once it did, they no longer saw Twilight's library but instead stood on the ground outside. It was mid-morning back in Ponyville, but if it was here, nopony could be able to tell. The spire seemed to radiate a special glowing twilight. It darkened the area all around it, but it was still able to be seen as a light center from far away, just like Twilight had noticed it first. The ground was damp as well, as if it had just rained. They looked around and noticed that they were on a small island. There were few trees, structures, or plants besides grass and the spire on the island. They could see the sea, which Twilight guessed spanned a mile or two.
"Wow, this place sure is different from Ponyville." Applejack said amazed.
"Ya. For one, that spire is nothing like any building I've ever seen, ever." Twilight mused. She then walked over to it and rubbed the building. "Its cold and made of some hard material that I've never heard of before. The Arcadians must have been much more advanced than we currently are."
"Of course they were, they built a machine that started this rupture of the dimensions." Luna said. "Come on, lets find this rift to the DMV."
"Ya! I'm ready to beat down some evil pony butt!" Rainbow Dash cheered still trying to sound more confident than she really was.
The seven of them promptly walked around the spire until they found an entrance. It happened to be on the exact opposite side of where they had ported to. The spire had such a huge radius that it took them what seemed nearly 5 minutes to walk around it.
The door to the spire was huge. It was like none they had ever seen before. It stood about five ponies high and three ponies wide. It was made of wood and in a gate like structure with twin doors buckled to each side of the spire. It had a metal ring on each door, but they were too high up to reach, and even if they weren't, they all figured they must be for decoration, because who would answer if they knocked on them?
Twilight and Luna used their combined magic to pull open the large doors. It was much harder than it looked, the doors seemed to weigh a ton each, and it took there combined force on each door just to get it open. Once they managed to open one of the doors they went inside. From the outside of the door it looked pitch dark inside.
Once they all entered, light filled one side of the room. The inside of the spire only had one room. On the left side of the room, there was a staircase that seemed to lead to the top-if there was a top to this beast. They had not been able to find one while they were outside. On the right side of the room they found what they were looking for. A giant rift bigger than the gate they had entered through sat. It looked just as it did in Twilight's books, which was something she wasn't exactly expecting. It was in a circular shape and radiated green light, and was colored green itself. It had two different shades of green which spun around forming a swirly spiral.
"Well, its now or never." Twilight said nervously. Once they entered the rift, they were in the enemies territory. Who knew the horrors they would meet there. Then she remembered something she had managed to push out of her memory. "WAIT!" She suddenly shouted making the ponies nearing the rift stop in there tracks.
"Something wrong dear?" Rarity asked.
"Maybe. I just remembered, there's a monster on the other side of the rift. Remember when I was explaining what was going on and I showed you the book? The weird owl like creature on the cover of it, is supposedly living in the spire on the other side of that rift. It had spoke to me in my mind telling me that. It also told me the elements of harmony wouldn't work, but I wouldn't have expected them too either." Twilight explained.
"Well, if what you said about that beast is right, then we're in for a heap of trouble on the other side of this here portal." Applejack said.
"I'll go through first and hold it off while you girls sneak by." Luna offered.
"No! You can't sacrifice yourself right off the bat! What if we need you. You have the strongest magic and you can fly!" Twilight said in sudden opposal to Luna's suggestion.
"Exactly, if I am the strongest here and this monster is as bad as you say, then wouldn't I be the best to hold it back?" Luna said countering Twilight.
"Fine..." Twilight muttered. She didn't want to see Luna probably die from the first second they enter, but they had no choice at this moment. She was right though, nopony else could hold it off for as long as she would be able too.
"OK then wait a few seconds before going in after me. I'll divert it if its there, and if it isn't, then I'll just pull you all in anyways." Luna said. "Wish me luck!" She yelled before quickly flying right into the center of the portal and disappearing in a weird foreign noise.
They waited about 30 seconds before going in after her. She never came back out, so they figured she was inside fighting off the monster. They all quickly charged in.
Once they got in they didn't spend time looking for Luna, they quickly spotted the door and trotted at full speed towards it.
"Did you happen to see the monster or Luna?" Twilight asked once they were safely outside.
"Nope." The other five unanimously said. As much as they would have loved to go on a hunt for Luna, they knew they didn't have the time.
"So... then this is it. The dimension that holds endless evil. So, how are we supposed to guard this world from knowledge?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well, at least the time and date is the same." Pinkie Pie said glancing at her cake themed watch. "It's still 2:34 March 3rd, 1956."
"I'm not sure what we should do now either, but first we should probably find a way to get on land. Hmm? Whats this?" Twilight said the latter part as after being hit in the face by a piece of paper. She quickly pulled it off. It showed a picture of a pony who looked shockingly like Fluttershy, but with a few differences. For one thing the eyes in the picture looked full of evil. The picture only showed her face and was probably highlighting the eyes, especially since the caption said 'Flutterscare is watching.'
"Woah, look at this." Twilight said showing everypony else the picture. "Something tells me that Celestia may not be in charge in this world."
"Hey Fluttershy, at least you get to be a dictator in some world. Looks like you rule with an iron hoof as well darling." Rarity joked.
"I can't believe I could ever look so evil." Fluttershy said nervously. "And why is my name Flutterscare? I wish I was a nice ruler."
"Who knows, might just be a nickname to help incite fear in her subjects." Rainbow Dash said.
"Well ah don't like it. Maybe we should do something about that." Applejack suggested.
"It may not be the best idea to go and flaunt about with our counterparts around. I'm sure they'd know somethings up and wonder whats going on when they see kind versions of them wandering around and doing a hostile takeover." Twilight said.
"Stop arguing dears, lets just figure out our next move." Rarity said.
"OK, well we should find a way off this forsakened island." Twilight said.
"Yes, but hoow?" Rarity whined nervously.
"There doesn't seem to be any way other than having me and Fluttershy fly us over. It'll take a while but I don't see an alternative." Rainbow Dash suggested. The distance was insane and she could tell it wouldn't be fun, but she wanted to get off the island more.
"Um, I'm not sure if I could carry a pony that far. I'm sorry." She squeaked in her own scared way.
"Look! Over there!" Pinkie Pie cried. "A boat thingy! We can get back that way!" She said as she bounced over to it quickly followed by the others.
"Damn... if there's a boat here, that must mean there already inspecting this place. At least stealing this boat will stop there return." Twilight said. "Now, does anypony know how to work these things?" She asked.
"No, but I think I can figure it out." Rainbow said. For the next few moments she flew around and inspected it before shouting, "Got it! All we gotta do is have pegasi ponies hold this rope and pull, while the rest sit in it. Me and Fluttershy can pull it."
"OK, now lets hurry!" Applejack said impatiently.
They all quickly got into position and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash began to pull the boat. Fluttershy ended up flying backwards into the boat only a minute after they pushed off, from how fast Rainbow was going. She was going at an extreme speed, if she wasn't pulling the weight of 5 other ponies and a boat, she probably would have made another sonic rainboom. She didn't seem to be slowing down at all, until they reached land. It had looked like land was miles away, but it only took Rainbow about seven minutes to arrive there. The five passenger ponies were all smashed up next to each other on the back side of the boat from the force of how fast they were going. Fluttershy was lucky she landed in the boat and not behind it, otherwise it would have been one hell of a bumpy ride for the meek mare.
"That... was... invigorating? Exciting? Insane?" Rarity said shocked as they came to a complete stop and had docked. All five of them were still shocked from the force of it. Pinkie Pie had fallen over and could barely walk. The others had trouble walking again, but it wasn't as hard of a challenge for them.
"Sorry..." Rainbow said a bit embarrassed, "I just really wanted to start our adventure." She lied. In all truth, she wanted to get off that forsakened island.
"Its.. OK, were here know and still safe. But where are we?" Twilight replied shaking herself back to reality.
They all looked around to see if they could see where they were. It seemed they got lucky at least, the area looked familiar. Eventually they came to the conclusion that they were in the back outskirts of Ponyville. They had never known that a body of water this large was behind there tranquil city. They hadn't recognized any of the buildings completely, but they knew the style and they just felt as if they were home again.
It wasn't as they had pictured in there minds. From all the horror stories they brought up, they figured it would be dark and stormy with lightning everywhere and the only sound to be heard was that of evil laughter. Instead, it looked just like there world, only a little quieter. There were ponies out and about, and none of them seemed to be trying to kill each other. This place couldn't be as bad as they thought.
"Hmm, I wonder if there's something new in that book..." Twilight began as she began to pull out the book from her saddlebag. She didn't remember that it was written in a language foreign to her until she opened it to see odd strings of letters pulled together. "Aw hay stacks. I forgot I can't read it." She said angrily, almost throwing the book into the water. Something inside her told her not to do such a thing though and she put it back instead.
"Come on, lets be careful. If this is Ponyville, then our counterparts must be around somewhere. Fluttershyx or Flutterscare as we saw before, seems to be a bit deadly already." Twilight said.
They decided to send in a scout first. They had Rainbow Dash fly up high and look around in town to see if any of them were out and about. Luckily, she returned with the good news that none of them were and that everything looked just like it did in their world.
The six of them walked up into town, they knew since their counterparts were probably considered evil and tough, they all put on a strong face and didn't show kindness in their eyes. Even Fluttershy was able to pull it off after a few minutes of trying. She eventually remembered her training she had vowed to repress from the Minotaur only a few weeks ago, and let it release.
The second they all walked up into town, everypony around them stopped walking. Some of them praised Fluttershy in a very nervous tone, and others just ran away trying to pretend they were never there.
They wanted to ask why everypony was acting so weird around her, but they knew if they did ask, it would blow their cover. Instead they decided to keep on walking unphased, which was extremely hard for them to do, especially Pinkie Pie.
She almost had an aneurysm from not being able to be her normal cheery self, and instead had to give everypony the cold shoulder.
"So... where exactly are we headed?" Applejack whispered quietly.
"I actually have no idea. Where do we go? There's no place here for us, unless we could take one of our counterparts houses. I would hate to have to kill somepony, I'm not sure if I could even do it." Twilight whispered.
"I could. It isn't that difficult. Only takes practice." The six ponies froze in there tracks. The voice came from behind them, and it was cold and menacing. They slowly made a dramatic turn to see who it was who was talking to them. "Aw. Did I scare you? I'm soooo sorry." She said sarcastically before making a menacing laugh towards them.
They were standing in front of Fluttershyx. She wasn't as evil as they thought she would look, no, in fact, she was worse. She seemed to have fangs as teeth, although they knew that wasn't possible, unless she did it herself. She also had an evil grin on her face and her eyes were dark and soulless. She was laughing maniacally at them. They hadn't been in the DMV for more than an hour, yet it was already turning to hell.
"So, I have a question for you. WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU IMPERSONATING THE IMPERIAL DICTATORS OF MY REALM!" She screamed at them in an extremely loud and menacing voice. Fluttershy began to cry a bit, and the rest were stunned, scared half to death. "WELL?! I DON'T LIKE TO WAIT. WAITING MAKES ME ANGRY. YOU WON'T LIKE ME WHEN I'M ANGRY. SOMETIMES I LIKE TO KILL, JUST TO MAKE THE ANGER DISSIPATE!" She screamed when nopony spoke in a response. Fluttershyx seemed just to be having fun torturing her. From the evil grin on her face she looked as if she just wanted to fall down laughing at their terror.
"Um." Twilight began trying to think of a lie. They were all scared to death, one wrong move and they're dead, and if they told somepony who called herself the imperial dictator, that they were counterparts from another dimension, who knows what she'd do. Chances are she wouldn't be all to nice about this to their dimension. "This is all an illusion!" She shreaked before mustering up all her strength and casting a teleportation spell that teleported all six of them back to where they docked the boat.
They all wanted to just let loose screams of terror from what they had just witnessed, but they knew they couldn't. If they did, then they would be found again.
"All an illusion my ass. They think I'm too stupid to be able to follow magic?" Fluttershyx whispered to herself. "Looks like this will be fun though. Its been a while since that place has had any visitors. I guess I'll call in my dear friend Rainbow Dashx to find my little impersonators." She grinned an evil grin eagerly awaiting the future for when she could visit that building again. It had been a few months since she has had any new 'friends' to play with in there and every time she brought a group there, it always days of fun games. Although all her guests always seemed to enjoy hide-and-seek the most. It bored her a bit, since she always won as the seeker in hide-and seek. Always.
The streets were nearly empty except for a few ponies now, when only minutes ago, it was full of life. It surprised the six mares to find that this town was not full of ponies trying to kill each other at every turn. In fact, it had looked just like there town did, well until everypony ran scared of Fluttershy.
"What the hay was that..." Twilight said still shocked.
"Well, it seems Fluttershyx is an evil oppressor or something." Rarity said.
"I can't believe we've been here for only an hour, and already screwed this all up." Rainbow said kicking herself.
Suddenly the wind picked up, quickly followed by a rainbow blur coming right at them. It was going at an insane speed, and was followed by a long trail of rainbow. She made a sudden stop from going at 10,000 miles per hour, to 0 in less than a second. The wind blast from it knocked the six ponies a few feet and to the ground.
"Hmph." Rainbow Dashx gloated. "Thirty-eight cases on instinct, and not one failed yet! Now, I was told that we had impersonators of some of our glorious ponies, including me of course." She said glaring at Rainbow Dash. "News spreads fast, in case you didn't know. No one is happy. Fluttershyx and me are very upset about this. We don't accept this type of disrespect and deceit. And also, who are these three pathetic wimps." She laughed. "In fact, your all pathetic. You look like you could just fall over bawling your pathetic eyes out." She continued laughing louder.
"So, wha... wha are you gonna do with us for our crimes?" Twilight asked nervously. She knew this wouldn't end well, but it was still better than the alternative of them discovering the rift.
"Hmm, it would be fun to have you scrawl up that mysterious spire and see what the fuck that thing is for us since our other scout isn't back yet, but Fluttershyx requested something different. Don't worry, its very fun." Rainbow Dashx said sarcastically. "It will last a bit longer than the amount of time you were on the lamb luckily. So don't worry it will not be all over soon." She said with an evil grin.
"She can't catch all of us at once, RUN!" Pinkie yelled on an impulse before quickly charging off. The others followed the precedent and charged off in all different directions.
"Oh, so were playing hardball I see. Looks like Fluttershyx isn't the only one who's going to have some fun." Rainbow Dashx muttered to herself before quickly charging off after her counterpart. How dare somepony copy the military leader, she wanted this pony down the most.
Fluttershy flew off in the opposite direction she had seen Rainbow Dash fly. She had tears balling up in her eyes and was trying her hardest to make them stop as it blurred her vision. She decided she just wanted to hide somewhere, somewhere where she would never be found. She flew at a speed she had never gone before. She could already feel her wings straining and she wanted desperately to take a break. She looked around and noticed an abandoned building, or at least it looked that way through her blurry vision.
It seemed decrepit and falling apart and that was enough evidence for her. She charged downwards and crashed through the first window she saw. She tumbled inside breaking down the window. Immediately her fall was broken, hard, by crashing right through a wooden ledge which she could only guess was the second story floor. She crash landed right into the ground and had the wind knocked out of her.
She was making odd moaning noises which were a combination of her pain and sobs. She slowly got up and looked around. The first thing she noticed was the blood covering areas on her. Glass and wood pieces were stuck in her fur. Luckily nothing looked fatal, and being the vet she was, she could tell.
The room was dark. If there wasn't a new hole in the ceiling and a few windows, then it would have been pitch dark. The house was empty, like she guessed. No furniture or structures were around, not even a staircase up to the second floor.
Through her sobs she heard a foreign noise. She suddenly stopped her crying and let loose a small squeak as she heard it. It sounded like boards creaking, as if somepony was walking around somewhere. She was too confused to notice what direction it had came from so she just quickly fluttered up and began searching every inch of the room. She couldn't see anypony on the first floor, so they were either upstairs or in her head.
She dreadfully didn't want to go upstairs through the single hole, out of fear that somepony was waiting for her to do just that. She then heard it again, somepony was definitely walking around upstairs. This time she knew what direction it was coming from.
She knew what she had to do. She remembered all of the times she had to be brave and stand up for herself and others. Fluttershy got angry, real angry. She thought of what her counterpart was acting like and tried to mimic it as well.
She gathered up all her inner strength and charged up at the spot where she heard the creak come from. Once again, she broke through the floor, this time hitting her head on something harder. The pony who had been responsible for the noise flew to the ground on the side of the hole. She quickly readied herself for another attack, although she knew she wouldn't be able to bring herself to willingly make the first strike and harm the pony.
She looked over the pony who was now slowly getting up off the floor, and it was like she was looking in a mirror. Partly because she was, the upstairs room was filled with mirrors along the walls. There was no wood on the walls, only mirror. Everything combined with this new confusion welled up inside her. The intruder was standing right in front of her, but she couldn't see her. She looked frantically in all directions expecting to see somepony else, but she didn't.
Fluttershyx stood up and looked at the hyperventilating mare in front of her freaking out. She decided to have a little fun, something she hadn't experienced in a while.
"Don't worry. It'll all be over soon." Fluttershyx said in a more calm voice. It sounded just like Fluttershy's. "Hush now, quiet now." She said before pausing. Fluttershy shot her glance over to where the voice had come from, with an even more terrified look on her face. "Its time to lay your sleepy head." Fluttershyx continued from a different position, and just like before Fluttershy turned to face her, yet she couldn't see her still. "Hush now, quiet now." Fluttershyx continued the lullaby from a different location again, and once more Fluttershy turned to face her. Every time she saw Fluttershy turn, she had a more and more terrified look on her face. "Its time to go to bed." Fluttershy made one last spin to point at the voice. Quiet ensued afterwards.
Nopony made a noise until Fluttershy let loose a terrified squeak. Just as soon as she did, Fluttershyx shouted a new line to it, except much louder and more menacing: "FOREVER!!" She jumped out and tackled Fluttershy to the ground and quickly put her in a hold where Fluttershy had no ability to retaliate.
"Aww, its too bad you couldn't go to the Manor like your friends will. But its just too tempting to let you go now." Fluttershyx whispered menacingly glaring straight at Fluttershy.
Fluttershyx licked Fluttershy's coat, right before biting into it with her fangs. Fluttershy let out an ear piercing cry of pain. "Mmmm, its been awhile since I've tasted flesh." Fluttershyx said with blood dripping from her teeth along with it pouring from the new wound on Fluttershy. Fluttershyx had bitten right into an artery causing an excess spew of blood to continuously pour out from it.
Fluttershyx geared herself up for another bite into her meal, but was interrupted by a bright flash of light. Fluttershyx cried out in a spur of pain as she was momentarily blinded. Fluttershy didn't seem to notice as she was already bawling on the ground as blood dripped down her body.
The light began to come closer until it finally rammed right into Fluttershyx sending her flying across the room smashing into the mirror. Cracks were sent all along that side of the wall radiating from the impact point, where a hole was now in place showing the outside and letting more light in.
"Here." A soothing voice said. "Let me help heal you up you poor little thing." Her horn began to glow, and the glow quickly transferred over to Fluttershy quickly stopping the bleeding and healing her wounds, even the piece of missing flesh was covered back up. She looked as good as new. The pain from it all left her body immediately as well.
"Thank you, thank you so much... Princess!!" Fluttershy said exasperated as she stood up and looked up at Princess Celestia.
"Princess? I wish, its been a while since I've been called that." Celestiax said. "It was my pleasure to help. I heard a commotion coming from in here, along with seeing a broken window on the roof. I'm guessing you already know, but my name is Celestiax and yours is? I know your not that demented Fluttershyx considering I just blasted her off of you."
"Your... your nice?" Fluttershy asked a bit confused.
"Yes, I guess that was the reason I was taken over by her. And no time hasn't changed me." Celestiax replied.
Fluttershy had a bit of a confused look on her face, and was even more confused on the inside. She was wondering how that was even possible. If Celestiax was caring and kind in her world, then wouldn't that make the DMV version cruel like Fluttershyx?
"Are you OK?" Celestiax asked seeing the strange look on Fluttershy's face.
"Uh, ya. OH NO! I just remembered my friends are in trouble!" She didn't want to reveal the truth to her not knowing if it was all a trap or not, but she knew her friend's lives were probably in danger. She hadn't seen who Rainbow Dashx had gone after, but she knew whoever it was, was in deep trouble. "Rainbow Dashx is chasing after them!"
"What? Well we should go help them then, the military isn't nice, I can say that first hand." Celestiax shuddered. "Are you another group of rebels or something?" She asked. Come on, tell me on the way. Lets go search for them."
The pegasus and the alicorn flew back out through the holes in the ceiling off to search for the others. Fluttershy was still conflicted, she saw no reason for this to be a trap, she attacked Fluttershyx in cold blood. And if Celestiax was the nice one, then that meant that Celestia was faking her kindness. Either way, something was being hidden.
"You know, if your scared of admitting to whatever it is you were doing to me," Celestiax said after listening to silence out of Fluttershy "you shouldn't be. I am the leader of the rebel forces. Fluttershyx had tried to keep me down, but I was too powerful. I wonder how my sister is doing on the moon... Oh yes, I still haven't gotten your name yet either."
"Oh um..." Fluttershy began quietly. She decided it was worth the risk to tell her. She didn't seem to be faking, something else must be going on. "My name is actually Fluttershy too. And technically were not part of the rebellion. Me and my friends are actually from another dimension where everypony is the opposite of the ones here. We call this place the dark-matter-verse I think it was. That mysterious spire is a rift between the two dimensions, we came here to stop anypony from going into it and destroying our world." Fluttershy said bravely.
"Oh... well that does seem to make sense of all these loose ends." Celestiax said tying everything together in her mind. "In that case, how is life there? If its the opposite than Celestia must still be in power. How bad is it?" She asked.
"Actually, shes just as kind and nice as y..." Fluttershy was cut off by a ringing.
"Oh sorry, excuse me. My radar is picking up more activity, it must be one of your friends." Celestiax said levitating a small mechanical device over in front of her and it radiated a green field on top of it pointing a holographic arrow towards the east. Fluttershy had never seen anything like it.
"What is that?" Fluttershy asked amazed by the device.
"Its a radar, you don't have them back in your world?" Celestiax asked.
"No, we don't have anything like that. We don't have any technology, I think that's what Twilight called stuff that worked magic in itself like that thing." Fluttershy replied.
"Oh. Maybe that's the fault in your leader, since I'm guessing you were about to say she was just like me. You guys aren't as advanced as us by her doing." Celestiax said.
"Maybe..." Fluttershy began to think about everything. Nothing really went together in her mind, but she never was too smart at psychology or politics or anything of the sort. She was a genius when it came to being a doctor, and nothing else.
"Well, we don't have time to dwell on that for now." Celestiax said as the radar began beeping even more. "It seems were getting close to our destination..." She was cut off by a loud yelp coming from nearby. "Over there!" She cried as the two of them dove down towards the ground where they heard the yelp.
As they neared the ground, they saw Rainbow Dash had just been tackled to the ground out of the sky by Rainbow Dashx.
"Did you guys send in all of the opposites of the Imperial government from this world in?" Celestiax asked as they hit the ground. "I have no idea which is which though."
"Rainbow Dash! Are you OK?" Fluttershy cried.
"Yes, I'm fine." Both Rainbows said in sync, now stopping the fighting and sitting up.
"I'm Rainbow Dash, not you." They both said. "No, I am! Shut up! Come on Fluttershy, who you gonna believe, me or this impostor." Both Rainbows said at the exact same time. It was impossible for Fluttershy to see who was who. They were right, Rainbow Dashx was a master of espionage and spying.
"Ummm... I can't tell!" Fluttershy cried.
"I have an idea," Celestiax began as she pulled out her radar. "OK, now who can tell me what this is?" She asked.
"Its a..." They both began before switching paths. "radar." The one on the left completed while the one on the right said "a metal thingy."
Before Rainbow Dashx could do something else, Celestiax shot a blast of magic at her knocking her back into the building behind her.
"Soooo.... whats a radar?" Rainbow Dash asked. "And thanks for knowing I'm the real me. And also, why are you here Princess?"
"Its a device that locates direction on a specific marker and I'm the Celestia of this world." Celestiax answered. "Apparently your Princess has a different vision on how to rule or something, at least she isn't cruel like our leader is: Fluttershyx if you haven't figured it out by now."
"Oh..." Rainbow Dash said thinking things of Celestia over. "What about the Luna here?"
"Locked away where she can't harm anypony and where Fluttershyx will never find her." Celestiax said with disgust thinking about her sister. "We don't have time for that story though."
Rainbow Dashx had been left unchecked while they were talking. In less than a second she got up from the ground and charged forward. She grabbed Rainbow Dash from behind and shot off into the sky at an alarming rate. The wind nearly knocked the other two ponies onto the ground.
The two of them just stood there stunned at what just happened. Both Rainbow Dashes were already so far away they didn't even hear her screaming as she was carried away.
"Damnit!" Fluttershy eventually yelled, angry at losing Rainbow twice already. "Can your radar track them again?"
"No, when she was hit with my magical blast, it must have deactivated the chip in her." Celestiax said playing with the radar.
"Well, what do we do know?" Fluttershy said at a loss.
"I can help you with that, no problem." A familiar voice came from behind them.
With lightning fast reflexes Celestiax spun around and blasted another bolt from her horn at Fluttershyx. This time, she seemed ready for it as she was quick to dodge it.
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Fluttershyx said. "Don't worry. We'll take good care of you." As she said this a bunch of pegasi and unicorns appeared out of nowhere. The pegasi landed from the sky while the unicorns removed their invisibility spells.
"Come on. Lets go to the castle. I'll give you the full tour, all complementary." Fluttershyx said menacingly with an evil grin at her face. "Don't worry, we'll find your friends for you. You can just sit back and relax in your own special rooms while we do all the work. I insist."
The ponies were herded into a carriage with an anti magic field around it. The field also prevented escape. The carriage could be pulled but no pony inside could get out. Of course Celestiax tried relentlessly to break it, but to no avail. Eventually Celestiax fell back giving up on attempting to escape. She was also exhausted from all the casting.
"Well, are you finally done attempting to break from my impenetrable prison?" Fluttershyx asked.
"Shut up." Celestiax said.
"Well, even though you are my guests, I must apologize and say that I won't. I'm sure you, Fluttershy, are wondering about this world and would love a tour through the new Canterlot." Fluttershyx began before quickly being cut off.
Another carriage with the same anti magic field on it flew by theirs nearly hitting it. This carriage was filled with the screams of what sounded like maybe up to ten ponies. The carriage seemed to be flying over to the Cloudsdale weather factory. It only shocked Fluttershy even more, since her first impression was child slavery. Her eyes began to water thinking about it along with all the other hell that must go on here.
"Oh you must ignore them. It is of no importance." Fluttershyx said waving away the carriage. "Quit your crying. I would think that rebels of this day would be more stable." Fluttershyx laughed seeing Fluttershy cry over the scene. "Anyways, we'll be to the castle soon where you can get the full tour. The highlight of it though will be the crime and punishment sector. But I guess you already guessed that." Fluttershyx continued laughing even more. Her laugh sounded nothing like Fluttershy's did. It was disturbing and sounded just like the mad scientist laugh Twilight had once shown them.
"Uhhhhhh, Spikex? Are you sure you left the boat here?" Twilightx said standing on the shore of the island near the spire. She was running around the coast looking for the boat they had used to get to the island. They had gone on a recon mission from Fluttershyx to discover what this spire was about.
They had discovered that it was a rift to another dimension that houses ponies that are of the direct opposite of their personalities. Unfortunately when the two were done with their research, they came back to see they were missing their boat.
The remainder of their ride to the castle was quiet and uneventful. Fluttershy whined scared for most of the trip. Celestiax just lied down defeated.
"We're heeeeerreeeeee" Fluttershyx shouted as the carriage docked on the balcony of the castle.
The guards carefully unloaded their prisoners into the castle. A new set of guards came out of the balcony entrance and fixed up the prisoners. Two tied down their wings and a third put a cover on Celestiax's horn which prevents magic from being used.
"Come on, lets begin our tour. We'll start in the Crime and Punishment sector... and end their too!" Fluttershyx said obviously having fun toying with her prey.
Most of the guards dispersed after the two were tied up. Only four guards and Fluttershyx remained. They surrounded and escorted their prisoners into the dark castle.
Fluttershy had seen parts of the castle back in her realm, but this one looked much different. In fact, she wasn't even sure if this sector existed for this purpose in the other castle. Inside the walls and doors were all painted black. Only a few bulbs hanging from the ceiling illuminated the hallway. The doors were made of some type of metal and bolted. It was obvious that they were intended to hold back anypony from escaping.
The guards pushed them and forced them to begin their journey through the castle. Behind some doors they could hear the terrified or pained shrieks of ponies from behind them. It made Fluttershy cringe every time. If she weren't being forced to move then she would have collapsed and just began bawling. Her eyes were tearing already.
As they continued down they heard a particularly loud shriek coming from behind a door that was different from the rest. Not only was it metal like the rest, but it seemed was bolted up and covered in a way that made it look like opening it was impossible. The shrieks coming from behind it didn't sound terrified or scared either, just insane.
Suddenly the shrieking became quiet for a moment before a scratchy voice came from the other side. "I CAN HEAR YOUR HEARTBEAT FLUTTERSHYX! YOU CAN'T HOLD ME IN HERE FOREVER!" the voice shouted and then continued with a maniac laugh that sent shivers down Fluttershy and Celestiax's spines.
"Oh don't mind her. She can't escape, that room and door is designed so that entering it and leaving it is impossible. We built it around the prisoner inside. She was too dangerous to be kept in society, and killing her was out of the question. We tried, but lost 30 trained ponies lives. She single-handedly killed her entire execution squad." Fluttershyx said ignoring the scream coming from the other side of the door.
"Who... who is it?" Fluttershy asked horrified.
"Oh names are of no importance." Fluttershyx said waving away the question. "We're almost to our destination anyways."
They only walked for a few more minutes down the winding hallways until they stopped in front of a door. One guard stepped forward and unlocked the metal door and the other three pushed Celestiax inside.
"See ya later Celestiax. I hope you missed your old cell, because I went through all this trouble to keep it vacant for you specifically." Fluttershyx said before the door was slammed shut and locked back up. "I'm sure your wondering were your going, my copy." Fluttershyx said turning to look at Fluttershy.
"Copy?" Fluttershy said trying to still keep the secret from her evil counterpart.
"Yes. Do you think I'm stupid? I knew it from the moment I found you. Why else would I be in Ponyville when I could be here? I'm offended. I simply didn't want Celestiax to know in case you hadn't told her. Shes already enough of a nuisance to me. Although, the rest of my empire doesn't know. Just me, I can sense magical properties and things of the such. In fact, I sent the Twilight Sparklex of our world to the island just to act like I didn't know. In fact, she should have returned by now... I wonder where she went." Fluttershyx wondered. "Do you happen to know?"
"Umm... we stole her boat to leave the island I think." Fluttershy said quietly. Being alone against this monster scared her even more than when she was with Celestiax and she couldn't help but comply.
Fluttershyx laughed at this. "Oh that's rich! I'll I have to pick her up later." She said while laughing still. "Now come on. I have a special room just for you! I have some questions that I want immediate answers to." Fluttershyx said before motioning the guards to continue towards another room.
They walked down the hallway a while before stopping at a door that was labeled: "Interrogation Room: 78". The guards opened this room and then Fluttershy was forced in, followed by Fluttershyx. The guards locked the door and stayed outside. It was just the two of them alone in the room.
The room was simple. It was lit well and near the back of the room, there was a table that seemed to have a few drawers in it, and it had seats on either side of it.
"Come on, sit down." Fluttershyx said as she walked over to the far side of the desk and took a seat. Fluttershy obeyed and took her own seat.
The moment she sat down latches shot out holding down her hoofs. Fluttershy let out a small yelp in surprise.
"Oh quit your whining. It won't hurt at all. Now, lets begin. So basically, I want to know why the hell you six have decided to invade my realm." She said angrily.
Fluttershy just sat there in silence. She was too scared of being face to face with the evil version of herself. Not only was she scared, but she pulled on all of her bravery to stay quiet. The reason they were in was trivial at this point, but still. She had her pride and maybe their was a chance Fluttershyx hadn't realized she could take over her world yet.
"Being quiet, eh? You know, it would be easier for everyone if you just spoke. Now again, why are you here?" Fluttershyx asked again a bit calmer.
Again, she was met by silence. Fluttershy had her eyes squeezed shut in an attempt to help herself stay quiet and to prevent the tears from falling down from her eyes.
"Ugh. You know, you are pathetic." Fluttershyx began insulting her impatiently. "You are meek and you are weak. Your a pushover to everypony and again, pathetic. It must be fact since I'm the opposite. I didn't take over Equestria from being a pathetic waste of flesh!" She shouted angrily.
Fluttershy couldn't take it anymore. She was about to just burst out crying her eyes out when she remembered something. She remembered all those times she was assertive, she was mean and didn't take shit from anypony. She remembered Iron Will's training. She had forced that Fluttershy away because it hurt everypony's feelings, but she wanted to hurt this one's. She was sick of her counterpart. There was nothing nice about her, nothing at all.
"Me? Pathetic?" Fluttershy replied angrily, eyes now opened, but with a look of anger and contempt in them. "At least I don't have to push everypony around and make everypony fear me because I'm a big meanie jerkface and can't feel successful without everypony bowing down to me. That sounds pathetic to me. I bet you'd be scared half to death if a revolt happened. You'd give in, why? Because your a fake!" Fluttershy's voice raised in volume and anger with every word until she was shouting. "Its all an act to you! You have to feel all high and mighty just to feel like you can do anything! I doubt that it was you who took over! You probably hid away like the coward you are and let your minions capture everything for you! Then you came in and said 'Hey! WORSHIP ME OR DIE! I AM A GOD!'".
"OK... no more Mrs. Nice Pony and no more games. Oh yes, I am married, and it wasn't by force." Fluttershyx said sternly while opening her drawer. She pulled out something that Fluttershy couldn't see then she slammed the drawer shut. "Now you have one more chance. Tell me, WHY. THE. FUCK. ARE. YOU. HERE!!!!!???" She screamed in Fluttershy's face.
"Why? Will you hide away like a coward if you think we're here to threaten your rule? Your scared, I can see it on your face." Fluttershy said in reply. She could feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins. Even when she was assertive, she was never this good at it. She wasn't even thinking straight.
"OK. Lets do this the hard way. I'm done with this bullshit talking with you." Fluttershyx said before getting up hiding whatever she pulled out of the drawer behind her. She strolled over to behind Fluttershy and said. "One last chance before shit gets serious. And trust me, you don't want that."
"Buck you." Fluttershy said in reply.
In reply to Fluttershy's disobedience Fluttershyx brought whatever she was holding down on Fluttershy's head, hard. Fluttershy tried to let out a yelp of pain, but before she could, she was already out cold.
After the mane six split up, Twilight ran behind the nearest building she found. Immediately after she blew all her energy and teleported back to the island with the spire. She thought it would probably the safest place since nopony would think of searching there.
When she returned to the island, all was quiet. It was twilight out and except for all the crazy stuff that has been going on, it looked kind of beautiful. Since she was in no rush currently she could actually look around the island for once.
It was mostly all grass with little trees and flowers, but even so it looked like it had a team of grade A gardeners tending to it constantly. The wind was blowing as well, and it along with the temperature felt nice.
She decided to look around the island to see what was around. It would give her mind something to do while the back of it could think of what to do next. She had got the idea from one of her ancient idols: Neighstein. He had developed the strategy, except he worked as a patent pony at the post office and thought about the solutions to his problems during work. It was supposed to distract the mind so that the most powerful part of it could focus on the current issue at hand.
Another thought then occurred to Twilight; to climb the spire. It looked as if it stretched on forever, but it must have an end. It was impossible for it not to. Maybe there was some magical answer to everything at the top of it. She had been wandering around enough to see that everything was pretty much the same around the entire island.
She trotted over to the entrance to the spire and walked back inside. The inside looked just as it had before. She looked up to see if she could see the top, or at least some ceiling. She fired a small illumination bullet up from her horn. The light it emitted was powerful enough to fill the entire room with light. It flew up for a few minutes before the darkness returned. She never saw it hit a ceiling.
She decided to try her luck and climb up the stairs herself. If worse came to worse she could always jump down and cast a slow-fall spell on herself when she was nearing the ground.
She began climbing the seemingly endless staircase.
"Twilight, why'd we do this again? Its been like half an hour and I still can't see the top. My feet hurt!!" Spikex whined.
"Shut it, I'm tired to. Listening to you whine for the past ten minutes hasn't been a dream either." Twilight Sparklex replied agitated from the continuous whining coming from her assistant. She then shot another light bullet up into the darkness to see if they were close. It went up and up until it was eventually out of sight. "I told you. Since were trapped on this island, we might as well see whats up here. Lord Fluttershyx wanted us to look around."
Just then another light bullet shot up from below them.
"Hmm, maybe they sent out a rescue party for us already. They must be signaling us." Twilight Sparklex said with new found enthusiasm. She immediately shot another light blast from her horn down to the ground saying 'WERE UP HERE!' with her actions.
"Awesome! Can we go down now then?" Spikex asked thankful he wouldn't have to scale this thing anymore.
"Nope, they can wait. Lord Fluttershyx wanted us to look around and look around we will. You don't want to displease her do you? What if something important is up there." Twilight Sparklex replied.
"Ugh, fine." Spikex sighed.
There has to be something up here, Twilight thought to herself. There just has to be a top somewhere! Suddenly a light blast whipped past her face back to the ground. It startled her a little and she jumped back and let out an 'eep!'.
What the hay was that?! Is somepony else up there? Twilight wondered to herself as she glanced up in vain. She then picked up the pace and began charging up the spire. She even cast a spell she had learned from helping Rainbow Dash with her flying. It allowed her move at an extreme speed for a limited amount of time.
In only a few seconds she managed to blaze up the stairwell at a rate not even Rainbow could achieve. She was going so fast it looked as if time was slowing down around her. It looked as if she was moving at a pace slower than walking. Anypony watching her would only see a purple blur whirring up the stairwell though.
When the spell wore off it shot her forward. She crashed right into the wall and fell back on the stairs in pain.
"Did you hear that Spikex?" Twilightx asked startled.
"Ya, what do you think that was?" Spikex gulped. "I hope that really is a rescue party here to find us, and not something else. Maybe its a monster from the other dimension!" Spikex shouted.
"Quiet! If it is, you don't want them to find you do you? I hear monsters like dragons. They like their crunchy scales." Twilightx teased cruelly.
"Shut up!" Spikex replied.
Twilight got up from her fall. In only about thirty seconds she had managed to climb what would have previously took her twenty minutes at her rate. She felt incredibly weak and exhausted now though. She decided to just lie back down and rest for a minute or two to catch her breath. No wonder I don't use that spell more often, Twilight thought to herself.
"MOTHER OF GOD!" A mysterious pony shouted at the top of the spire. "FIRST SOME FUCKING DELINQUENT INVADES MY HOME AND STARTS SHOOTING FUCKING LIGHT BULLETS EVERYWHERE, NOW THEIR BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS! LITERALLY!" He shouted enraged. He had just heard the crash Twilight had made, along with seeing all the light blasts hitting his floor and quickly illuminating the entire room and making the floor a lava pit.
"I've had it. I'm waking you up. This is complete bullshit." He said as he walked over to a table next to a giant machine filled with buttons, screens, levers, and graphs.
He quickly whirred around the machine hitting buttons and pulling levers and hitting the screen rapidly in a pattern. Loud noises and lights began flashing and banging. On a table directly next to the machine lay a monster currently offline. It looked just like the AI from Twilight's dreams. After the pony finished playing with the machine, the AI's eyes lit up and glowed a very bright yellow, before simmering down again.
"Jason-Dialucz-Marcus-Damon-Blake-Birdbrain-Ramses-Deeson-Glork is now online." It said monotonously.
"Mother of god I will never understand why you think that is your name, or even where the hell you got it from. I WILL CALL YOU RAMSES AND RAMSES ONLY!" The pony shouted at the beast.
"Of course. I am Ramses. What can Ramses do for his master?" It replied.
"There are intruders in my spire. Go, find and rid me of them." The pony commanded.
"Yes my master." It replied. The pony then went over and pulled a lever separated from the machine. A hole then opened up in the ground. Ramses quickly charged through it and flew down the spire at an insane rate.
Its eyes had built in radar finders to lock onto pulses and it immediately found three intruders. It locked onto the nearest target and began flying in its direction: Twilight Sparklex.
"Woah... Twilightx do you hear that?" Spikex asked suddenly hearing a tiny whirring noise that sounded like wind.
"Ya, sounds like the wind. Nothing to worry about." Twilightx replied.
"But, we're inside, there isn't any wind in here." Spikex replied a bit scared.
"Target acquired. Initiating phase 1." They both heard the voice echo from above.
"OK, maybe it isn't the wind..." Twilightx said nervously while staring up and readying herself for a retaliation if necessary.
Ramses charged down and stopped immediately in front of Twilight Sparklex and Spikex. "What brings you to my den? I am the protector of this sacred place." The beast said menacingly. Its voice had changed from when they heard it only a few seconds ago. It sounded cold now. Its words seemed to echo off of each other as well.
"Ummm, we were sent here to see what this place was since we never saw it before today." Twilight Sparklex stuttered out scared to death of this monster. "Isn't that right Spikex?"
"Y..yes. We mean no harm, we would have left already but our boat was stolen." Spikex said diplomatically.
"Well, I can help you get off of my master's island. That is easy." Ramses said in is previous monotonous tone. "Leaving the island is much easier than arriving on it don't you know?"
It then opened its mouth and let out a giant flare targeted at the both of them. With lightning fast reflexes, Twilightx threw up an anti-magic field at the last second protecting both of them from the sudden burst of fire. They could both still feel the heat from inside it though, and it didn't seem like it would be a pleasant way to leave.
Woah. What the hay is that up there! Twilight said to herself looking up from the ground to see a sudden burst of light high up. The first thing it reminded her of was the AI from her dreams. Her heart stopped and fear coursed over her.
"Well nothing left to do here." She said quietly before jumping off from the ledge and began plummeting to the ground. The repelling air hitting her front hurt more and more the farther she fell. She could feel herself speeding up and the air hitting her harder. She immediately regretted jumping and wished she just ran back down, even if she was scared half to death of that beast.
With seconds left before she hit the floor she mustered up all her strength to focus cast a spell to slow her fall to a near halt. The sudden change in air pressure hitting her was the weirdest feeling she had ever felt. It felt like she weighed nothing for a mere second and that she wasn't alive. At least she was almost off this forsakened island though, she thought.
"PLEASE DON'T ROAST US! WE CAN DO THIS PEACEFULLY!" Twilightx screamed once the torrent of flames was over.
"The secrets of my master's domain must not be revealed. All that enter the spire must die." Ramses said in his evil tone again.
"We... we won't tell anypony, please just let us live!" Twilightx pleaded.
In reply Ramses simply said, "No."
"OK then, lets do this the hard way." Twilightx said with newfound confidence. Her horn began to glow and the glow en capsuled the entire area.
When the light faded away, they were in a strange place. The three of them were in a giant sphere. Along the edges of it pipes could be seen sending electrical shocks throughout them. This illuminated the room creating a blue lightning colored glow around the room. White sparks flew through the tubes as well. There were also floating platforms everywhere. Twilightx and Spikex were standing together on one while Ramses was still flying in front of them.
"Come on Spikex we don't have much time!" Twilightx cried. Spikex jumped on Twilightx's back and she then jumped off of her platform towards the surface of the sphere.
"What is this! Ramses does not understand this!" Ramses said in confusion. He was not programmed for this place, he wasn't even sure if he should still pursue the invaders. Before he could decide it was too late anyways.
When Twilightx and Spikex had jumped off they landed on the surface. They then somehow teleported into the tubes and were now flying around the room. Ramses could see purple sparks joining the blue and white ones flying around.
Suddenly Twilightx materialized behind the beast and she brought was looked like a giant electrical pike down on the beast. The moment it penetrated the metallic skin of Ramses the beast short circuited. Blue sparks began shooting all out and around Ramses and the monster began letting out an ear piercing squawk.
After only a few seconds of this Ramses's eyes turned dark and it began to fall to the ground. Mid fall the room turned back into the regular spire. Twilightx and Spikex were standing in the same exact position, while Ramses fell down, dead.
"Every time you do something like that, Twilightx, it amazes me. Even though I've seen it a million times, each time, it still amazes me." Spikex said.
"Ya, its pretty fun isn't it." Twilightx agreed.
Twilight decided not to wait here any longer to see if it was that beast from her dreams that made that fire. Once she hit the ground she cast a teleportation spell to return back to Ponyville. She didn't know where to go from there, but it didn't matter right now.
She cast the spell, but it was a dud. She was still too weak from the slow-fall and speed boost spells she had just cast.
"Shit! Now what! Wait, duh.." She said as she looked over to the vortex. She decided for now, she might as well go back to her realm to protect herself.
She ran through the portal and popped back out in the spire in her world. It felt nice to be home, even if it looked the same as in the DMV and she wasn't in Ponyville.
Twilight looked up and what she saw made her blood run cold. Her heart stopped and her breathing stopped as well.
"Well, look who's back. I told you we would meet again." The giant monster said that stood in front of her, its voice echoing off itself.
Twilight let out a scream before charging back through the rift and into the DMV.
After she got back through she just collapsed on the ground. "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE!" She cried as she saw the monster she had just faced moments ago lying dead on the floor.
"Oh, that thing? I killed it." Came a familiar voice from above. "Hm, you must be me. Wheres your assistant?"
"What?" Twilight said quietly as she looked up to see herself and Spikex slowly fall down.
"You must be confused, well this isn't your realm." Twilightx continued.
"Ya, I know whats going on. I've already had the pleasure to have a direct meeting with your ruler: Fluttershyx." Twilight said sarcastically. She wasn't expecting her counterpart to come out and try to kill her. Although, she did wonder how she was able to kill this beast. It seemed invincible in her dreams and it scared Twilight half to death. "Our ruler sent us in to check out what was going in. Me and my friends: Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack."
"Pinkie Pie!!" Twilightx shouted in fear. "Your friends with that beast!" She continued shouting in fear.
"Twilightx! Its OK, remember there opposites, her Pinkie Pie isn't like ours." Spikex said reassuringly.
"Ya.... Why, whats yours like?" Twilight asked.
"Pinkie Piex is a monster. It took our entire army to take her down. I have never seen such a destructive and terrifying pony. She single handedly took the life of many of our own. It took all the power in the world for Fluttershyx to bring her down. Right now she's locked up in the Canterlot Castle in the Criminal Justice ward." Twilightx said more calm now.
"OK then, well how did you kill that thing, and how do we get back to Ponyville?" Twilight asked. She had a million questions, but these two seemed like a nice start.
"Well, first off I killed that thing by getting inside its mind and making it kill itself. When Celestiax was the ruler of this land, I was her personal student. I'm the best psychological magic user to have ever lived she said. Although I doubt she wanted me to use my powers for evil, now I'm the lead investigator and homeland security official for Fluttershyx!" Twilightx laughed. "And on the subject of returning home, I have no idea."
Oh great, if she wanted to, she could make me her mind slave, Twilight thought. Seeing how I'm her, she could make me do anything.
"Oh, well I'm a master of science and magic as a whole. Although the mind and sociology have never been my best subjects in the sciences." Twilight replied trying not to sound nervous and trying to show that she could be dangerous too. "I could teleport us back to town, but I need to rest for a bit since I've blasted a ton of energy in the past like five minutes."
"OK then we can just wait a bit. Doesn't look like there will be any more issues since that thing" Twilightx pointed towards Ramses's corpse, "is dead."
The three of them talked for a bit on the differences between their two worlds and their inhabitants. As they went on, it made Twilight less nervous of her counterpart. She began to think that they may be evil, but maybe just because someone is evil it doesn't make them mean or cruel. The two seemed nice.
"OK, well let me see if I can teleport us all now." Twilight finally said when she was feeling recharged. She strained her horn to glow in a circle around the three and in a flash of light they were gone. They all reappeared on the shoreline where Twilight and her friends had originally docked their stolen boat.
"Hey! There's my boat! I wonder how it managed to get here." Twilightx said seeing it.
"Oh ya, sorry, me and my friends took it when we arrived. Speaking of that, did you happen to see a dark blue alicorn with a dark aurora mane? We had a seventh with us, but we lost her when we entered the island." Twilight asked remember about the missing Princess.
"Oh no problem about the boat and no we haven't seen anypony else. If shes an alicorn chances are she flew off the island already, but I thought alicorns were extinct besides Celestiax?" Twilightx asked.
"Her sister is still alive, Luna. She came with us, although I hear here she is still trapped on the moon." Twilight replied.
"Who's Luna? I haven't heard of anypony by that name, especially not an alicorn." Twilightx replied confused. Apparently on this world too Nightmare Moon's existence has been censored too, except more heavily.
"Oh, its not important now. Just, what do we do now? I have to find my friends so we can get out of this world." Twilight said changing the subject. She wasn't in the mood for a lecture.
"I can help. Lord Fluttershyx can rally them all up and we can get you girls home." Twilightx suggested.
"Ya, that sounds like a great idea!" Twilight said. All the evil memories and thoughts of Fluttershyx had seemed to leave her mind. She trusted every word her counterpart said, she saw no reason not too.
The three of them walked through town to Canterlot Castle while chatting as if they were best friends since forever.
Twilight couldn't realize it at the time, but Twilightx was better at mind tricks than she would have ever believed.
