> A Chaotic Night > by FlutterPal > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Princess Luna was walking down the dark, almost abandoned dungeon. She walked past all the ponies that had either lost their mind, or just had a really bad life. One pony was trotting around in his cage and acting like a dog. And another was crying and banging his head on the bed. Princess Luna HATED going in the dungeon. All the sad things going on, and SHE just HAS to check it every night! But Luna heard about a new prisoner in the dungeons. Yes, there are more. Six, in total. Luna checks three of the six at night. The princess came to the last cage in dungeon one, and thankfully, no pony had escaped. She flew to the back of the room and… crashed into a wall. “GRRR!” the princess said, frustrated. She totally forgot about the new secret passageways in the dungeons! Luna got up and put her hoof on one of the four symbols at the top of the wall. It was a moon. Her symbol. Only the princesses could open the passage ways, which meant the other symbols were the cutie marks of the others. The stone wall opened with a long, SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECH! And Luna stepped into the second dungeon in front of her. Behind her, she heard the wall close slowly behind her. The night princess turned on her light spell and started walking down the dark hallway. Blue light glowed around her as she heard groans and cries echoing around the dungeon. Luna walked, her hoof steps making loud clicking noises. She also heard water dripping from the ceiling, and the wind blowing slowly past her ears. But, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a flashing orange light, a candlelight maybe. And it was coming from one of the cells. Curious, Luna walked, then ran, then flew toward the flashing light. Suddenly, a menacing bark stopped her. BARK! Luna got back on her hooves, and saw her pet moon hound sitting in front of her, looking hungry. Luna teleported some star-shaped dog food then poured it on the floor. Then, she continued running. Once the princess of the night reached the cell, she took a breath and looked into the cell. And there, sitting on the cellar beds, was an old enemy she prayed to NEVER see again! And it was Discord, the lord of chaos. Luna got SO angry her eye started to twitch. “DISCORD?! What are YOU doing here?!” the night princess exclaimed. Discord sat up with a candle wrapped around his tail, it flicking on and off by the snap of his fingers. “ Oh, haven’t you heard? I’ve been ‘reformed’. But I STILL have to stay in this LONELY dungeon.” Discord said mockingly. Luna felt angry, scared, but maybe a little sorry. The princess shook the thought away. Then Discord started talking again. “Luna right? You’ve changed since I last saw you. You're maybe even... prettier." Luna flinched at the compliment. “But why are you in the dungeons anyway?” Princess Luna asked. “ Oh, well I’ve told you before. Why don’t you sit here with me and try to remember it?” Discord asked. Luna flinched again. “ No. I’m wasting my own personal time!” And with that the princess marched off her head held high. ******************************************** Luna sat on her bed, exhausted. “Uhhh,” Luna groaned. Checking the dungeons was truly tiring. The princess’s stomach growled. It also made her hungry. Purple/orange light shone across Luna’s bedroom as the sun began to rise. Luna used her magic to lower the moon to let the day begin. Squirming around on her bed, she started thinking about her encounter with Discord. She thought it was weird… those.. those compliments. Discord had NEVER been complimented her, or Celestia. Discord, the lord of chaos, had taken interest in herself. Why, in all of the immortal colts she could date, it just HAD to be the evil one. No, it would NOT happen. Besides, Luna just might be over thinking it? Suddenly, a bowl of cereal appeared on a gold plate in a regular decorated plastic bowl. Almost immediately, the princess levitated the spoon, and began to munch in. Celestia walked in and knocked on the door. Luna saw her sister and widened her eyes. “ Ohm. Hi sister.” Luna said. And with that she wiped her mouth. “ Hi Luna,” said the older sister. “ Enjoy your breakfast?” Luna swallowed a mouthful of cereal. “Definitely,” She said back. Celestia walked in, sat next to Luna on the bed, and teleported the bowl of cereal away. “So,” Luna said, not to willing to talk. “Going in the dungeons was good last night.” The older sister looked at her sister with happy eyes filled with joy and laughter. “ That’s good,” the white alicorn said. “ Any more news?” Luna shook her head. “Princess?” said a deep voice from the doorway. Luna looked over and saw a royal guard standing there. “Yes?” said Celestia. “Twilight wanted to protect Canterlot from the snow, and she wants you to watch over her.” "Ok, I'm coming." Luna’s heart melted when she heard what the spell would do. “ The snow, gone?” she croaked. But both of the ponies were already gone. The princess of the night swallowed back a cry. Winter was one of Luna’s seasons that she brought to the land and made it snow! And Twilight just had to RUIN it for Canterlot! The princess got up and ran after the porch. She knew that they would be there. But of course, as always, she was late. Late enough to that all the snow had melted off the ground. Late enough that they were already trotting down the hallway. And finally, late enough that a huge magenta force field was covering Canterlot, with snow bouncing off the sides. Luna had ENOUGH problems to worry about, and THIS had to be ONE OF THEM! First, Twilight needed a bed and it was Luna’s bed. Second, she has nightmares of the future a LOOOOONG time from now. Third, Discord. And now THIS!? Luna took a breath or two, then walked toward her bedroom. She plopped down on her bed, and fell into a deep, deep sleep. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luna woke to the sound of groaning. But as soon as Luna opened her eyes, Discord was standing on top on her – well, floating. And he was very close to Luna’s face. What was really strange was, that he was dressed in a tuxedo and eyebrows slightly not as furry. She meant to scream, but instead she did something SO intelligent like, “ Uhhhh,” and she looked at him in awe. Why was Discord flattering her? ‘Weird,” she thought. Discord blinked at her in satisfaction. “Oh, I’m so glad you liked it!” he said. This princess actually DID like it. But why would Discord like her? What did she do? Suddenly she got even MORE confused. How the heck did Discord even escape the dungeons? Nopony EVER escaped the dungeons. Discord smiled widely. “H- How did you even escape the dungeons?” Then Luna could see he was VERY annoyed. Discord frowned. “ Let’s just go, and we can TALK about it.” Then he snapped his fingers and a cloth with lots and LOTS of apple- made stuff appeared. Her mouth watered. Her hooves tingled. And her stomach growled. She trotted over immediately, and began to eat like a pig. After what seemed like not that long to Luna, she was filled up with apple pie. Discord went over to where Luna was sitting and wrapped his tail around her. And Luna smiled. She did not know why, but she did. The stress lifted off her shoulders and she felt free. It was a feeling she NEVER experienced before. “Discord,” Luna said quietly. “Yeees?” Discord was TRULY interested. “D- Did you ever like me?” Discord was surprised at the question. “Don’t you know the answer?” Discord asked. Yes. Luna DID know the answer, and it was yes. It was also Luna’s answer. She turned to face Discord. She remembered what he said about being reformed. Her cheeks hot she did a little ‘kiss’ on his cheek. Luna did a great, GREAT big smile and hugged Discord. Discord stared at the blue alicorn. He could not help but smile back. A little couple was what Luna was hoping what would happen. Discord was very different, and he was very happy. It was all happening so fast! And they knew that they would be very happy as long as they kept their secret. They also agreed that they would meet every night. For the rest of the afternoon the talked, laughed, played, then Discord went back to where he was being held. Both of them were very lonely after they left each other. But Luna started talking to Twilight to put the big force field down. And Discord talked to the other prisoners next to his cell. ********************************** Luna was arguing with Twilight to put the force field down. “I don’t know of ANY spell that would fix it!” Twilight would say. “Well, look for one NOW or my winter will be ruined this year!” “ And I would be VERY HAPPY to tell you that it will be done by the end of winter!” The argument went on for hours until Celestia finally stopped it in a sorta angry, calm kind of way. Oh well, Luna thought. There is always next year… Discord was VERY lonely though. He just TRIED to talk to the prisoners, but they just scowled at him. It was all boring and he knew that until tonight, he would be bored to death. ********************************** It was night time, and everypony had nothing to do tonight so they were all in bed. Luna and Discord sneaked around the castle to go outside into the Canterlot garden. It still was tricky, but Luna performed a spell that made them blend into the shadows. Then, they got there. “Wo, that’s tricky,” Discord had said. “That’s tiring,” Luna said back. Discord’s tail flicked and a GIGANTIC hammock appeared in front of them. Luna collapsed on one side right away. Discord teleported to the other side. Luna looked at him and sighed. “What? What’s wrong?” Discord said. “Well, It’s just that Twilight set up a force field that covered all of Canterlot from the snow. And winter is MY season!” Discord smiled and said, “That is all?” The princess nodded. “Well, why not ask ME to fix it?” Discord snapped his fingers and the magenta glow around the capital city popped away. Snow – NOT snow, but moon rocks were slowly drifting down the sky, then turning into snow when they touched something. “I- it’s BEAUTIFUL!” Luna exclaimed. Chocolate milk began to rain on her, getting her hair sticky and wet. But she still smiled. > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia walked down the castle in eerie silence. Shadows wisped past her, and she thought she heard them talk. It did make her curious, so of course she followed them. The shadows were moving, yet no one was around. Except, Celestia of course. Then they went out into the Canterlot gardens. That’s where she stopped. And she spied. Celestia quietly watched as the shadows formed into their true forms. And it was Luna. With Discord. Oh, Discord. Lord of chaos. Dating HER sister! Celestia didn’t move. She was still curious. And mad. Oh, so VERY mad. They sat on a hammock. Snow moons fell from the sky, and then chocolate milk poured on them. She saw Luna smile. And then kiss Discord. KISS Discord. After a few nights of spying on both of them, it got more serious. The second night the two rode in a chariot over Canterlot, and pink clouds were EVERYWHERE. Raining chocolate all over the ponies below. The third night pink hills were also everywhere, and they cuddled on a red and black throne. The forth night It was WAY too chaotic, dancing buffaloes circling around the two. Then, they kissed each other. And all it was doing was RUINING Celestia’s time. It was definitely time to call Twilight and her friends to turn Discord BACK to stone. Nevermind about him being reformed. That was LONG ago anyways. Long ago. ******************************************* Twilight ran around Ponyville to make sure she would complete Princess Celestia’s task. First she went to the closest home that belonged to one of her friends, then knocked on the door. Mrs. Cake opened the door. “Oh, hello Twilight! I mean, Princess Twilight!” she said kindly. “Oh! You don’t have to call me that! So, where’s Pinkie?” Twilight said. Mrs. Cake pointed upstairs. Twilight smiled and nodded a thanks, and trotted up stairs. She arrived in Pinkie’s room, and yep. There was the party pony! “Twilight!!!” Pinkie yelled, bouncing over. “Hi Pinkie!” Twilight said back. Pinkie gave her a giant hug, squeezing the breath out her. Then she set her down. “Where’ve you been?” Pinkie asked. Twilight gasped for breath. “Well, I actually need you and the rest of our friends to turn Discord back to stone.” Pinkie was confused. “Why? Didn’t Fluttershy reform him?” Twilight nodded. “But the princess said he had some, ‘things’ happen with Luna.” “Oh, now THAT makes more sense!” So, Twilight told all the others and made sure she saved the hardest for last: Fluttershy. They argued about the part in turning him to stone. Fluttershy said he did NOTHING wrong, and Twilight tried to tell her the flaws about it. FINALLY Rainbow Dash stepped in and said about chaotic little alicorns all over the place. With Rarity saying that it was a silly thing to argue about. And Applejack said if we don’t stop him soon, LUNA might become chaotic. Pinkie stayed out of it though. And then, Fluttershy agreed. So they went on the train to Canterlot with their elements ready. ********************************************* Fluttershy looked out the window of the train to Canterlot. And she was thinking of Discord. Discord REALLY didn’t do anything wrong! All he did was fall in love, nothing more. This HAD to be TOO harsh! If anything nothing goes wrong with relationships. The one just, probably got confused! Or, something else? Fluttershy sighed. Rainbow Dash, who was sitting next to her, looked at her in confusion. “What?” she said. Fluttershy started crying. “Woah, girl, there’s got to be NOTHING wrong with turning Discord back to stone, ‘kay? You can still visit him and talk to him, he can hear you.” Rainbow Dash explained. Fluttershy sniffled. “I know, I just, I can’t—“ then she started to cry. After that, they just continued their ride. And to Rainbow, it felt very, very long. At Canterlot they got off the train and ran to the castle. Arriving to Celestia’s room, they ran to where the princess was sitting and said that they were ready. “Good,” she said. “But they only meet at night, so get some rest.” The six ponies found some places to sleep and waited for the night. Every time when all of them went to sleep, they all just waked up. Long sleep they had. So, they slept for two hours, according to Twilight’s eye. When they woke up for the last time, the moon was up and Princess Celestia standing over them. “It’s time,” she said. All of them sneaked through the hallways in the castle, finding their way by the sounds of shadows and wind blowing past them. They had twists, turns, and a couple of times all of them got lost. But finally, they reached the gardens. It took like three hours, but they reached the gardens. All of them were very tired by then. Well, you might have guessed that. But anyways, they reached the garden and started to spy, elements ready to fight Discord. Everything that the ponies had experienced before in chaos world two years ago, was happening right now. Except the moon wasn’t moving up and down. With every pony out right now was staring in disbelief. Now THIS was a problem alright. The happy couple was seated on a throne, gently cuddling with each other. They were ready. All SO very, VERY ready. Twilight went out there and shouted, “HEY? What are you doing?!” Luna and Discord looked at them in shock. Discord snapped his fingers and a giant rock came flying towards them. Thankfully, Twilight was quick. She used her magic and the boulder crumbled to pieces. Luna got off the throne shakily. “W- What are you doing with the elements of harmony?” she asked. Celestia ran over and hugged her sister, bringing her down the hill. As the older sister talked quietly to the younger one, tears poured down Luna’s face. “ No,” Luna said. “NO!” Seeing this, Twilight started working the spell for the elements. Luna and Discord ran after each other. And in every bad luck book, of course the happiest one turns to the saddest. Which in this case, means, once Luna got there, Discord was lying on the ground as a big statue. She stared wide-eyed at her only love with tears flowing down her cheeks and dropping on to the ground. The princess ran away crying. The last that they saw from Luna was a bright glow of light blue, and then she was gone. > The End! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- `Celestia walked into Luna’s bedroom, only to see her sister in front of a pixel screen and a levitating PS3 remote. “Ummm, Luna? You okay sis?” Celestia asked quietly. After saying that comment she saw her sister levitate a soda bottle up to her mouth and drink it. But she didn’t say anything. “Look, sis I’m sorry! I really am! Come on, just TALK to me!” Celestia pleaded. Still no comment. And then, Luna dropped her soda, spilling it all over her lap. “Tia!” she shouted. Celestia chuckled. “Ok, ok, but are you alright? I’m SO sorry that this happened! Will you forgive me?” Luna turned around and locked eye contact with Celestia. “I’m not mad at you Tia, I’m mad at Discord. He probably messed with my mind or something!” Tia looked down at the controller that Luna was levitating. “Ah, your game?” Celestia said. Her sister looked down at the controller in shock, then turned back around. Tia heard a sad DUN DUN DUN sound come from the game her sister was playing. “TIA!” Luna shouted. Celestia laughed at the face her sister was making. “Ok! I’m sorry. But it’s dinner time so let’s go eat.” And the two sisters FINALLY got a happy ending. So, YEAH! The end!
