Twilight now has the Jade Alicorn and can see all over the world. She has absolute control over Equestria but she thirsts for more. Will she conquer the whole world or lose everything?
Twilight now has the Jade Alicorn and can see all over the world through the great green eye at the top of her tower. Now she seeks more than just Equestria, she wants everything. Will she conquer the whole planet or will she lose everything and face a wrathful punishment from the royal family on Alicorn Island?
Twilight had finally recruited the ultimate pony into her alliance. She believed that with Starswirl restored and swearing allegiance to her, that things were looking better and better as far as conquering the whole world goes.
She thought to herself, "I have restored Starswirl, I have LaurFa on my side, I have Luna and Cosmos on my side, I have an armor spell that protects my armies very well, I am invincible. Very soon, the world will be mine, all mine!"
Shining Armor came into Twilight's room and asked, "Twilight, you do know it is time for breakfast don't you?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, sorry about that big brother, I was just reflecting on everything that has happened here recently and thinking of the things that are yet to come."
Shining Armor said, "Well let's get downstairs for breakfast, Starswirl, Thunder Rage, Dark Night and LaurFa are waiting on you."
Twilight and Shining Armor headed down to the dining hall so that they would not keep everypony else waiting. Twilight felt bad for being late but knew that self-reflection is important as well.
"Hi Twilight, how did you sleep last night?" asked Starswirl
"I slept very well knowing that you are not in that dark, gloomy forest anymore. A pony as distinguished as you deserves the best sleeping quarters out there." replied Twilight
"Well you certainly provided it Twilight. I slept better last night than I had in thousands and thousands of years." said Starswirl
"Starswirl, do you remember anything about your time of being Discord?" asked Twilight
Starswirl replied, "I do remember some. I remember being encased in stone quite a bit. It is a good thing that as Discord I was immortal, otherwise I would have died."
LaurFa said, "Wait a minute, you are Starswirl, the one who went mad and became Discord?"
Starswirl replied, "Yes, I am LaurFa. Other than Twilight I have a feeling that you are probably the only pony alive today that knows that."
LaurFa said, "I actually didn't know that. I don't know why you would think I did."
Twilight replied, "I will let you know about that later LaurFa. Here comes our breakfast, let's eat!"
After breakfast Shining Armor said, "Twilight, today is a very important day. I need to discuss this with you in the throne room."
Twilight asked, "Ok, but what is so important about today?"
Once they got to the throne room Shining Armor let Twilight know that it had been thirty days since the imprisonment of Rarity.
Twilight said, "Oh yeah, it is. With everything that has been going on, I completely forgot about it. Could you go get Colonel Ice Storm to go down and bring her up here since she doesn't sass him and treats him with respect."
"Yep, I can do that." said Shining Armor "I will be back in ten to fifteen minutes."
Fifteen minutes later Shining Armor and Ice Storm entered the throne room with Rarity. Rarity glared at Twilight as she was being led up to the throne in chains.
"Rarity, it has been thirty days. Colonel Ice Storm has told me about your behavior. I have decided to let you go." said Twilight
Rarity replied, "Well it is about time. You have no clue how awful it was being locked up in the darkness down there. You have to be one of the worst friends anypony could have."
Shining Armor said, "Rarity, don't do anything to cause her to lock you back up for longer."
Twilight interrupted, "Shining Armor, I am going to let her go regardless. I do not feel like having our chefs prepare her food that she does not like. Besides, I am in a very forgiving mood today."
Rarity growled, "What, the dark queen in a forgiving mood? Wow, that has to be a first."
Twilight rolled her eyes and said, "Just let her go now. Where she goes, I don't really care. If she decides to start a rebellion or anything else that is not in the best interests of Equestria we can always go crush the problem and I will banish her to the void."
Twilight walked out of the tower with Rarity and removed the chains from her. "You are a free pony now Rarity." said Twilight "You are free to go wherever you wish, just do us commoners a favor and get out of Ponyville."
Rarity shouted, "You are calling yourself a commoner? You are the last one that should be saying that. Yes you are unrefined just like everypony else here but a dark queen has no business calling herself a commoner."
Twilight shouted, "JUST GO. GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!"
Rarity decided that she was going to move to Canterlot where she felt that she would fit in. She headed over to Sweet Apple Acres to get Sweetie Belle.
Once Rarity got over to the farm she was greeted by Apple Bloom. "Howdy Rarity, how is your day going?"
Rarity said, "It is going much better than it was. Where is Sweetie Belle, I have come to get her."
Apple Bloom said, "Oh, she is over in the east field helping Applejack with apple bucking."
Rarity said, "Thank you Apple Bloom."
Rarity arrived in the east field to see Sweetie Belle having a lot of fun helping Applejack. Rarity shouted, "Sweetie Belle, it is me Rarity. I have come to take you to our new home."
Sweetie Belle replied, "New home? What are you talking about? I want to stay here with Applejack and help her out everyday for the rest of my life!"
Rarity said, "Oh come on Sweetie Belle, you don't want to stay here on a muddy old apple farm now do you. The place we are going will be much better. Fine food, sophisticated ponies, everything great in life, not among these unrefined ponies."
Applejack interrupted, "What are y'all saying about us? Unrefined ponies? Well that beats those high falootin ponies up in Canterlot anyday!"
Sweetie Belle added, "Yeah, I hate going up there. There is no way I'm moving there. Besides, I have adopted both Applejack and Apple Bloom as my sisters! You can't expect me to leave my new family!"
"Adopted them as sisters, new family?" shouted Rarity "You do know I am your real sister and you will do what I say."
Sweetie Belle said, "If you really care about me you will let me stay here. You take me up there I will just sneak out at night and come to my REAL HOME!"
Applejack said, "Y'all know Rarity. I have talked to Twilight about this and she said that this should be Sweetie Belle's decision and it is obvious that she wants to stay with us."
Rarity shouted, "FINE YOU LITTLE TRAITOR. I AM SURE OPAL WILL WANT TO COME WITH ME."
Applejack said, "Ah wouldn't count on it Rarity. She loves Fluttershy and you know she even growls and hisses at you. Fluttershy is the only pony she doesn't do that to. You can go see if Opal will want to come with you, but y'all probably just get scratched and maybe even bit."
Rarity snapped, "My Opal would never do such a thing! She loves me more than anything! Good riddance Sweetie Belle you little tyrant."
Rarity stormed off towards Fluttershy's cottage and banged on the door when she got there.
"Oh hi Rarity. I see you finally got out of the dungeon." said Fluttershy
"Yes, I did." replied Rarity "Your precious dark queen decided to let me go but she is running me out of Ponyville."
Fluttershy said, "Well I don't blame her. You do think you are better than anypony else here. So will Sweetie Belle be going with you?"
Rarity growled, "No, she wants to stay here and I decided I better let her stay here so Twilight doesn't come banish me to the void or throw me back in the dungeon."
"Twilight was telling me that she wouldn't put you back in the dungeon because she didn't feel like feeding you food you hate." replied Fluttershy
"Where is my Opal, she will be going with me." said Rarity
"She is in my cottage. You can go and get her, but I doubt if she will want to go with you." replied Fluttershy
Rarity headed into Fluttershy's cottage saying, "Opal, momma is back. Come out, we're going home!"
Rarity saw Opal under the kitchen table and started hissing and growling when she saw Rarity. Rarity put her face down to talk to her and Opal scratched and bit her.
"Opal, you do not do that to momma! Naughty Opal, Naughty!" shouted Rarity
Fluttershy came in and said, "I don't think she wants to go with you Rarity. I am thinking that so she will be happy you should just let her stay with me."
This sent Rarity into a rage and she shouted, "HOW DARE YOU! FIRST APPLEJACK STEALS MY LITTLE SISTER AND NOW YOU WANT TO STEAL MY CAT! THAT ISN'T HAPPENING!"
Fluttershy said, "Stop it Rarity, you're scaring my critter friends and making Opal mad."
Rarity levitated Opal onto her back and said, "I don't care about your stupid critter friends and Opal is coming with me. Let's get going Opal, we have a long journey to Canterlot."
Opal scratched her so hard that she drew blood and ran to Fluttershy's room and hid under her bed.
Rarity shouted, "FINE OPAL YOU LITTLE TRAITOR. I'LL JUST GO TO CANTERLOT ALONE!"
Fluttershy said, "You know what Rarity, I have had it with you and your thinking you are better than the rest of us. Just go to Canterlot and leave the rest of us alone."
"FINE" shouted Rarity
Rarity decided that she would just fly to Canterlot so she could get out of Ponyville as soon as possible. She did not feel like waiting thirty minutes for the next train. As she was leaving she shouted "GOOD RIDDANCE PONYVILLE!"
It was a calm day in Canterlot, everypony was out and about doing their business. Photo Finish was hosting a photo shoot for a few prospective models, Fancy Pants was hosting a fancy party in the Canterlot Gardens and Twilight's parents were walking through the city noticing that everypony seemed to be happier since the events of the day were bringing a sense of normalcy back to Canterlot.
They looked off to the east and saw an Alicron flying their way. Twilight Velvet said, "Oh, great. Here we are finally having a normal day here and Twilight has to come ruin it. I'm surprised she isn't bringing her precious army with her."
Crescent Sparkle said, "That isn't Twilight. I think it is her friend Rarity. I hope she isn't going to cause problems too."
Rarity saw Twilight's parents and flew over to them. "Hello dahlings, how are you doing today?"
Twilight Velvet asked, "You aren't here to enforce some law against elegant parties that Twilight created are you?"
Rarity replied "Why no. I'm here to flee from her. She locked me up in her dungeon for thirty days and once she released me she threw me out of Ponyville."
Crescent Sparkle said, "That doesn't surprise me. She used to be such a refined pony, now she has turned into an unrefined tyrant who feasts on oats and bacon."
Rarity looked shocked and asked, "How do you know about what she eats?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Well when we saw that green eye scanning the world atop her tower we decided to go and try to tell her to deactivate it. It gives us the creeps. She tried to feed us that mess hall swill. We left before we had to eat too much of it."
Rarity smiled and said, "Wow, now you two are the types of ponies I would love to be around!"
"Likewise," said Twilight Velvet "why don't you come up to the Canterlot Gardens with us. I am sure you are just starving for some real food!"
"Oh you bet! Thirty days in the dark and swill have been so awful!" said Rarity
They headed up to the gardens where they were greeted by Fancy Pants. "Twilight, Crescent, it is so good to see you two. LADY RARITY! It seems like it has been forever! How have you been doing?" said Fancy Pants
Rarity replied, "Oh things have been awful. Twilight has been stealing things that aren't hers, she threw me in a dungeon for thirty days and forced me to eat mess hall swill. My little sister and my cat hate me and want nothing to do with me! Seeing you makes things better!"
Fancy Pants replied, "Well come on in, you must be dying for something good to eat. Oh my, I didn't notice this at first, but you have been transformed into an Alicorn!"
Rarity replied, "That is the only good thing that Twilight has done recently. Just as soon as she did that to me, the rest of her friends, her brother and three other ponies down there she made us take part in these stupid military exercises."
"What did you do when she did that?" asked Fancy Pants
Rarity replied, "Well I refused to listen to her and I sassed Commander Colgate so she threw me in the dungeon."
"Who is Commander Colgate?" asked Fancy Pants
Rarity replied, "Oh she is a dentist who wrote a spell for a pain free root canal down there. She is fiercely loyal to Twilight and since she has powerful magic, she put her in charge of the levitating and accuracy/power exercises. Basically Colgate is Twilight's lap dog."
Twilight Velvet said, "Wow, Twilight has pretty much everypony in her service now."
Fancy Pants said, "I have heard that the dark queen is horrible. Enough of this talk about her evil highness, let's go mingle and enjoy some good food!"
Rarity had the finest meal she had had since Twilight became a princess. She started thinking that she needed to get away from Twilight's realm entirely.
Twilight Velvet asked, "Rarity, don't you worry about Twilight coming here with her thugs and doing something awful to you?"
Rarity replied, "She said she would not do anything unless I started a rebellion but I don't believe her. I really wish I could get to Alicorn Island, but I don't know the way and it is a horribly long flight."
Crescent Sparkle said, "I know how to get there and I know where a ship is that we could take there. I really fear Twilight coming and punishing us in many horrible ways. With us just being regular unicorns I don't know if the royal family would let us live there or not."
Rarity replied, "Oh I'm sure Celestia and Luna could talk their parents into letting you stay there. I know they aren't thrilled about what Twilight has done."
Twilight Velvet said, "It is a long walk from here to the coast and it could take us days."
Rarity replied, "Well I can levitate things. I could levitate you while I fly out there. I think the time has come to leave Equestria entirely. I think the safety of all of us depends on it."
Fancy Pants said, "You know, you are probably right. I don't know what Twilight has in store for Canterlot, but I don't think it would be bad since she grew up here."
Rarity replied, "I have a feeling she would save her worst wrath for Canterlot. Since becoming a dark queen she is always talking about how she hates the Canterlot elite and loves the working class ponies of Ponyville."
Fancy Pants asked, "Do you think Alicorn Island would be a safe place for you?"
Rarity replied, "For now, it will be. Twilight wants to rule the whole world and I think that Alicorn Island would be the one place she could never take."
Twilight Velvet said, "I hope so, but I'm not so sure. She is constantly learning new magic and since she took every last bit of information from Faustica she is capable of anything."
Fancy Pants looked stunned and said, "She took all the materials in their libraries?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Yes, she did. She also stole the jade Alicorn and the emerald plate it goes in. That is why she has that green eye that watches everything."
Rarity said, "I have even heard that she stole LaurFa's bed. Is that true?"
Crescent Sparkle replied, "Yes, it is. Since LaurFa is completely under her control now whatever Twilight wants, she can go and take it and face very little if any resistance. The resistance she does face she just crushes it."
Fancy Pants asked, "Do you think that the royal family in Faustica would allow my wife and I to relocate there as well?"
Rarity replied, "Your wife is Fleur de Lis, right?"
Fancy Pants said, "Yes, she is and I can't imagine allowing her to have to face more of Twilight's wrath."
Rarity said, "I am betting they would. Queen Galaxia is a very elegant and sophisticated pony from what I understand. I am certain that with her you two would be able to get exile there easily."
Fancy Pants replied, "Well we will have to join you. I am not so worried about myself, it is Fleur de Lis that I really worry about. Such a beautiful pony should not have to deal with stress like this.
Twilight Velvet said, "I do know that Twilight holds a great deal of contempt towards your wife. She is a supermodel and Twilight hates anypony who is elegant. Whether it is because she is jealous of her beauty or she just hates elegance I don't know."
Rarity said, "Given that Twilight discarded the elegant crown and chest plate for that ugly iron crown and body armor, I am guessing that she simply hates elegance and wants the whole world to be unrefined, like she is."
After finishing their meal in the garden Rarity and Twilight's parents headed down to the courtyard to discuss things further. Twilight Velvet and Crescent Sparkle are hoping that Rarity will want to leave soon but they do not want to ask her so that she will not think they are pestering her.
Rarity said, "I really think we should leave tomorrow morning. It is a long flight to the coast and considering I will have to levitate you it will take a bit longer."
Twilight Velvet asked , "Will it be too much trouble for you to take us?"
Rarity replied, "Not at all dahling, I know you two are genuinely scared of Twilight and I want you two to be safe."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Well we are scared of Shining Armor as well. If anything happened to Twilight, he would ascend to the throne and probably be worse than her just to punish everypony for something happening to Twilight."
Rarity replied, "Nopony could be worse than Twilight."
Twilight Velvet said, "Well she does treat her remaining friends good, she treats her army like they are gold and even the other ponies in Ponyville she treats very well. She loves Ponyville and trust me, she could be worse. She could treat Ponyville like dirt too and overwork her army."
Rarity said, "Fancy Pants, you and Fleur de Lis meet us here tomorrow morning at nine. From there I will levitate us all to the coast where we will set sail."
"You can count on it!" said Fancy Pants "I know Fleur de Lis will be terrified of what Twilight might do but she will be happy to be able to escape her wrath."
Rarity and Twilight's parents headed back towards Twilight's parents' house. They did not want to be out and about with the eye staring directly at them for too long.
Rarity asked, "Twilight, is it just me or does it seem like that eye is staring straight at us?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Oh I'm sure it is just pointed this way right now. Twilight isn't the type of pony to waste resources on one little thing."
Rarity said, "Well she knows that I came here, so it may be focusing on us. I don't trust Twilight one bit. I am thinking we should get inside before her and her thugs come here to punish us."
Rarity and Twilight's parents got into their house and pulled the blinds, hoping that the shades will keep them out of the green eye's view. They do their best to avoid even being near the windows with the shades pulled. While Twilight's parents are glad to have Rarity with them they know that Twilight will be keeping an even closer eye on them. They finally went to sleep that night and Rarity had the best night's sleep she had in over a month since she had a real bed to sleep in and warm blankets as opposed to a cot and a thin blanket.
Rarity was woke up the following morning by Twilight Velvet. "Rarity, we need to eat some breakfast and then get going!"
Rarity replied, "Ok mom....let me brush my mane...OOPS! Did I just call you mom?"
Twilight Velvet smiled and said, "Yes, you did call me mom but I don't mind. You are how I wish Twilight would have turned out."
Rarity said, "But weren't you happy when she became a princess?"
Twilight Velvet said, "You bet I was, but she hadn't changed at that point. Yeah she didn't like being called your highness, but at that point she was just a new princess who was nervous. If you ask me you should have been the one who was crowned as a princess."
Rarity blushed and said, "Oh, I wouldn't go that far!"
Crescent Sparkle said, "Come on, let's eat so we can get going. I think we should set sail before the evening arrives."
"Ok honey. Just give us a second." said Twilight Velvet
They ate a good breakfast and then headed down to the courtyard where Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis were waiting.
"Lady Rarity, Twilight, Crescent, I am so happy to see you. Let's get out to the coast so we can escape this place." said Fancy Pants
Fleur de Lis said, "Honey, we are unicorns. How are we supposed to get there. I don't think Rarity could carry us all on her back."
Rarity said, "Don't worry dahling, I've got it covered. I will just levitate all of you while we fly there!"
Fleur de Lis replied, "You won't drop us will you?"
Rarity replied, "Of course not! I can levitate heavy things when I want to, and this is an absolute must moment. Let's get going!"
Rarity levitated the four ponies and they flew west towards the coast. It was a longer flight than Rarity expected but they landed at the coast around two in the afternoon. Rarity was tired carrying four ponies that far but knew that the results were well worth it.
"Well, we should find something to eat before we set sail." said Twilight Velvet
Crescent Sparkle replied, "I think those small apples on those bushes would make for a good meal. I remember one time Celestia talking about apples along the coast and how good they are."
Fancy Pants said, "Well if Princess Celestia said they were good, then they must be!"
Fleur de Lis added, "Princess Celestia is a wise pony and if she says something is good, then it is very good. What all will we have to eat on the way to Faustica?"
Crescent Sparkle said, "It is going to be tough and not as refined as what we are used to but it will probably be those apples. This is one of Twilight's ships and I doubt if there is any food on board."
Twilight Velvet added, "We will just have to take some apples with us. It is ether that or we starve."
Rarity said, "We will have to take a lot of them with us. I don't know much about the Pegasus Ocean but I do remember geography in school and how far out Alicorn Island is from Equestria."
Twilight Velvet replied, "You must have paid good attention in school. I sure don't remember that!"
Crescent Sparkle said, "Let's load a lot of these up and set sail. We have an easterly wind right now which will push us along. I want us to get as good of a push as possible."
Fleur de Lis looked back as they set sail and said, "Farewell Equestria. I will miss you but the dark queen has left me no choice but to leave you."
Fancy Pants said, "It is ok honey. Maybe the dark queen will fall someday and we can return. We will have the royal family in Faustica on our side."
From Ponyville Twilight could see them setting sail. She slammed her hoof on the floor and yelled, "My parents have betrayed me! They will pay dearly for this!"
Shining Armor came running into the throne room and said, "What is wrong little sis? Why are you yelling so loud?"
Twilight replied, "Big brother, our parents have stabbed us in the back. Rarity took them along with Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis to the coast and they have just stole one of my ships to go to Alicorn Island. In a couple of days they will wish they hadn't done this to us."
Shining Armor asked, "What are you going to do? Do you know any spells to cause a nasty storm to hit them?"
Twilight said, "Not yet, but give me a couple of hours and I should be able to write one. I have went through plenty of material from our raid on Faustica and ran across books on weather spells. I don't care if it means sinking that ship, they will pay dearly for this!"
Twilight stormed down to the archives bound and determined to stop Rarity and her fellow traitors from reaching their destination, even if it meant killing them. Twilight thought to herself, "NOPONY STABS ME IN THE BACK, even if they are my parents!"
In Ponyville Twilight was in a rage over what her parents along with Rarity had done. The fact that they were taking two of Canterlot's most elite ponies with them made Twilight's thirst for their destruction all the more powerful. She was going through the archives thinking to herself, "I am thinking that a spell for a strong hurricane will do the trick! The waters out there are nice and warm so I won't have to feed it's power solely on my own!"
Twilight headed down for supper still not having found the right information for her hurricane spell. She was greeted by her typical company and Colgate.
"Colgate," said Twilight "it is great to see you here tonight! How is everything going?"
Colgate replied, "It is going good, very good. I have performed 5 pain free root canals since writing that spell. You look a bit upset Twilight, is anything wrong?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, there is something very wrong. My parents betrayed Shining Armor and myself. They ran off with Rarity and a couple of Canterlot snobs, stole one of my ships and are headed to Alicorn Island."
Colgate asked, "What do you plan on doing? Will you and your army go out after them?"
Twilight replied, "No. I am getting close to writing a hurricane spell that should prevent them from getting to Faustica, well alive anyway."
LaurFa asked, "Would you would kill them with this storm if you had to?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I would. They have been treating both Shining Armor and I like dirt here recently. Rarity is a backstabbing, disobedient little brat and Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis are Canterlot snobs always flaunting their wealth."
General Iron Sheath asked, "You always have hated the elite up there, haven't you?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I have. Growing up my family was not exactly well off financially. Yes once I got into Celestia's school and Shining Armor got into training for the Royal Guard, things were a lot better for them and they became part of the elite."
Shining Armor asked, "Didn't Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis hold up for all of you when Rarity went up there to make your dress when the other elite were putting all of you down?"
Twilight replied, "Yes they did but the fact that they joined Rarity and my parents in leaving shows that they don't trust me. They should have known that they are the elite pair that I would have mercy on. Since they did this though, they are just as bad as the rest of the elite."
Colgate said, "Well here comes our supper! I'm hungry! I'm so grateful to you Twilight for providing us with meals!"
Twilight replied, "Thank you Colgate. Enough of this talk since our meal is here!"
After supper Twilight headed back down to the archives bound and determined to find what she needed to write a spell for a hurricane. She also knew that she would need to figure out a way to make sure that it works. Finally around ten she had read through all the weather spell information and she realized that she might have something that works.
Twilight said to herself, "I think I have found what I am looking for! Tomorrow I will test this spell. The ponies down in Tampa Neigh are going to be in for a huge, windy, rainy surprise!"
The following morning Twilight headed down to breakfast with a smile on her face and was greeted by her usual company.
Dark Night said, "Twilight, you seem to be in a better mood this morning. How did the studying for the hurricane spell go?"
Twilight replied, "I think I have it ready, I just need to test it now."
Thunder Rage asked, "Where will you be testing it?"
Twilight replied, "I am thinking about Tampa Neigh since it is surrounded by warm water and they get hurricanes on a regular basis. I was thinking about Manehattan but they very rarely get them and when they do, they aren't that strong."
Shining Armor said, "Wow little sis. You don't want to leave anything to chance, do you?"
Twilight replied, "No I don't. I will test it today and if it works, I will cast it out their way tomorrow. At that point, they will be at the mid-point of their journey to Faustica, which is right where I want them."
After breakfast Twilight headed outside and pointed her horn off in the direction of the gulf waters just off to the west of Tampa Neigh. She began to glow a bright shade of purple, her eyes were shining a radioactive green and her horn began to glow black and purple as she recited, "The nice weather must come to an end, for without a storm the enemy will not bend, the wind shall be strong and my enemies won't last for long, a hurricane is a must so the tyrants will sink and go bust."
A powerful bolt of energy wound up striking the atmosphere just off to the west of Tampa Neigh. A huge storm of purple clouds formed with heavy rain and strong winds. Twilight chose Tampa Neigh because she knew the upper level winds would blow the storm east. Twilight watched from her balcony as the storm moved into Tampa Neigh, causing massive flooding and tons of property damage.
Twilight watched all this go on for the rest of the day and got an evil grin on her face. She thought to herself, "Excellent! It works perfectly! Only I will need a much more powerful storm to make sure that my parents get the message that you do not stab me in the back."
Twilight was a bit late for supper but she arrived in the dining hall with a grin on her face and a bit of a remnant green shine in her eyes.
"Twilight, you're late." Said Shining Armor "That is a first for you. What were you doing?"
Twilight replied, "Oh just watching my storm work it's magic. Tampa Neigh is a disaster area now which makes me happy because I know my spell worked."
Dark Night asked, "Do you think they will be asking anypony for any charitable donations?"
Twilight replied, "Probably, but it isn't our job to take care of them. Let the wealthy elite ponies across Equestria help them. It isn't my job to go in there and fix everything like new."
LaurFa said, "Could you fire a bolt of energy from here to restore everything to the way it was before? It would help your image among all you subjects immensely."
Twilight said, "Yeah I could. I came across a spell to fix things when I was doing research to write the storm spell."
Thunder Rage asked, "When are you going to do this?"
Twilight replied, "After supper. If I am going to do something like that, I need a full stomach. They may be suffering, but satisfying my hunger comes first."
After supper Twilight headed outside and pointed her horn towards Tampa Neigh, she began to glow a gentle shade of purple, her horn began to glow purple as she recited, "The city was devastated by a storm, which is not the norm, their suffering is great yet we can not allow normalcy to be late, the city must be restored to the way it was before so they can pay taxes like they did before."
Twilight fired her energy towards the city and as soon as it arrived, the city was instantly transformed back to normal. The storm was completely gone, the effects of the flooding and powerful winds were gone and everything quickly returned to normal. Twilight saw this from afar and was pleased. She knew she could scare ponies with storms but then return things to normal once she figured they had suffered enough.
Twilight headed to the throne room where she was greeted by LaurFa and Starswirl. LaurFa asked, "How did the fixing spell work?"
Twilight replied, "It worked perfectly. I am sure the citizens down there were scared but I am certain that when they saw my energy beam hit the city and restore it to normal, they were most likely very thankful that I saw what happened and helped them."
Starswirl asked, "What color were the clouds associated with that hurricane that hit them?"
Twilight replied, "They were the same shade of purple as the darkest part of my mane and tail is. Why do you ask?"
Starswirl said, "Well with them being that color they will probably think it was you that caused the storm. They may not be all that forgiving with you scaring them like that."
Twilight said, "I will just tell them that the way the light was shining on the clouds it made them look like that. I will make them think Rarity did it. They don't need to know she doesn't have those kinds of abilities."
LaurFa asked, "Do they even know who Rarity is?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, they do. Before I rose to power the mayor of Tampa Neigh took part in a meeting in Canterlot and met us after the meeting. He had a hard time telling her mane apart from my darkest purple. All I have to do is tell him that it was Rarity's color of purple and he will tell his city that she did it and they will believe him."
Starswirl said, "How do you know that Twilight?"
Twilight replied, "That pony has been elected to ten consecutive terms. The ponies down there love him! He could tell them that they mistook it for green clouds and blame it on Chrysalis and they would believe him."
Shining Armor came into the throne room and asked Twilight, "So when are you going to cast the hurricane spell to hit our parents' ship?"
Twilight replied, "Tomorrow after breakfast. They should be in the exact spot I want them to be in. They are going to be in for the surprise of their lives when they run into that hurricane!"
Shining Armor replied, "Yep, they will be. I think we should get plenty of rest tonight so you will have as much energy as possible for that spell."
"Agreed," said Twilight "I'm off to bed now. Good night everypony."
Morning had arrived out at sea as Rarity and her fellow dissidents were headed to Alicorn Island. While Crescent Sparkle had never actually been there he has a sixth sense, a lot like Shining Armor does. He said, "I am going to turn the ship to the left just a bit."
Twilight Velvet asked, "Why are you going to turn the ship a bit. I thought you said it was a voyage straight west."
Crescent Sparkle said, "To this point it is, but if we keep going straight west we will sail around 350 miles to the north of it and wind up getting caught in northeasterly rip currents which would cause us to crash into the coast near where Sombra used to live."
Crescent Sparkle turned the wheel about 25 degrees to the left so that they would be sailing west-southwest, directly towards Alicorn Island.
It is mid-morning in Ponyville and Twilight is watching this from afar. She thinks to herself, "Alright Twilight, the time has come to sink them." She decides that given the power this spell will require, she better not do it in or around Ponyville.
Shining Armor approaches the balcony and says, "Twilight, when are you going to cast the hurricane spell? You seem to have waited a while."
Twilight replied, "I wanted to wait until they turned their ship just a little bit. I want the eye of this storm to have a direct hit on them."
Shining Armor said, "Isn't the eye the area of a hurricane that is calm with sunny skies? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, it is but the areas immediately outside the eye are the absolute most powerful areas of the storm with the strongest wind and heaviest rainfall. Assuming the eye does make a direct hit, it will be like they will get hit by two storms. Trust me big brother, I know what I'm doing."
Shining Armor said, "Alright little sis. Is there anything I can do to help?"
Twilight replied, "Not really. I am going to get away from Ponyville to cast this spell. It will require so much power that it will have a negative impact in the areas around where I cast it."
Shining Armor asked, "Where do you plan on doing it then?"
Twilight replied, "On Galaxia ridge, right above Canterlot. I don't care if there is a bit of property damage there. Besides, it's not like they couldn't use their magic to fix it anyway. I am going to get going. I want to get this done as soon as possible."
Shining Armor said, "Alright little sis, you know what you're doing. See you later."
Twilight flew from her balcony towards the west and over Canterlot to Galaxia Ridge. Twilight knew that the spell she was about to cast would be by far the absolute most powerful spell she has ever cast. She thought to herself, "I just hope I have enough energy to do this, good thing I had a bigger breakfast than normal this morning."
Twilight floated a bit above the ridge. She began to glow a deep shade of purple yet it was as though a second sun was in the sky over Canterlot. Her eyes began to glow a radioactive green so powerful that they became like laser beams, her horn began to glow black and purple. Dark purple clouds began to build and block everything within five miles of her as she recited, "The nice weather must come to an end, for without a storm the enemy will not bend, the wind shall be strong and my enemies won't last for long, a hurricane is a must so the tyrants will sink and go bust."
A powerful beam of black and purple energy shot out of her horn and green laser beams shot out of her eyes towards the direction she wanted them to, lightning struck the palace in Canterlot causing the roof in the old throne room to cave in and the rocks beneath her crumbled. Twilight was exhausted after casting this spell but still had the energy to fly back to Ponyville.
When she returned to Ponyville she flew to her tower and said to herself, "I never imagined casting a spell would drain me so much. Being able to do things like this though, I am beginning to think I should adopt the title of Dark Goddess. Only a goddess could create storms the way I do!"
Rarity and her party were above deck on their third day at sea enjoying the sunshine and the gentle easterly breeze that was pushing them along nicely. Fancy Pants said, "This an absolutely delightful day to be outside. Despite our food not being what we are used to, I am perfectly happy right now!"
Fleur de Lis said, "I agree honey. This weather today couldn't be any better."
Rarity added, "Yes, it is absolutely divine! I don't think anything could spoil this day as there is not even a cloud in the sky!"
They then saw a powerful beam of black and purple energy accompanied by two narrow beams of radioactive green energy soar across the sky from behind them. They were surprised that such a thing would happen but at first thought nothing of it.
After about an hour they saw what appeared to be some fog off in the distance. Rarity said, "What is that in front of us? I guess our beautiful day is going to be spoiled by that fog."
Fancy Pants said, "Oh a little bit of fog can't spoil our day. Besides, I love to be out in the fog, it is so delightful and calming."
The waves began to pick up which is not normal for this kind of day and they felt a stiff breeze blowing in from the west-southwest. They began to realize that this might not be fog in front of them, but instead it might be a line of thunderstorms.
Twilight Velvet said, "What is happening. Those thunderclouds seem larger than normal and they look purple."
Rarity said, "Purple rain clouds? That reminds me of something Discord would create but he was reformed a long time ago."
Crescent Sparkle replied, "I don't think these are simple thunderclouds, I think it is something much worse."
The clouds were racing towards them and the wind grew stronger, rain began to fall and bolts of purple lightning started flashing in the sky.
Crescent Sparkle shouted, "IT'S A HURRICANE! TWILIGHT HAS CAST A HURRICANE SPELL. EVERYPONY UNDER DECK!"
Twilight Velvet shouted, "She did what? How did she become this powerful? Nopony has ever cast a hurricane spell, especially one this powerful!"
Before they could get under deck they tripped over their own hooves as the waves were rocking the ship so hard nopony could stand up. The rain turned purple making it impossible to see anything. Lightning was flashing all around them and they began to panic running into one another.
Fancy Pants shouted, "Twilight must be worse than anypony ever thought. I bet even Chrysalis and Sombra wouldn't do something like this."
Fleur de Lis shouted, "We have to get under deck. If we don't we will probably get thrown overboard."
They finally were able to get under deck but as they were doing so a decent amount of water had washed in with them. The water was two inches deep leaving no dry place to stand.
Twilight Velvet said, "I think I'm getting seasick the way this ship is rocking back and forth. I feel like I am going to throw up."
Crescent Sparkle said, "When we saw that energy we should have known it was her. Those green laser beams made me wonder though. She must be so incredibly powerful now that she could cause any natural disaster to hit anywhere."
Fleur de Lis began to cry and asked, "What are we going to do? What if lightning hits the ship or the waves tear it apart?"
Rarity replied, "I don't know. I know I can't even fly in these winds, much less levitate anything. Nothing could fly in these winds."
Crescent Sparkle said, "These winds must be setting some sort of record. I didn't even know the wind could blow this hard."
Within a couple hours the wind stopped entirely, the rain stopped and they could see the sun shining out the captain's windshield. Despite the seas still being rough, they went above deck to see what was going on.
Fancy Pants looked around and said, "Well, I guess Twilight's hurricane couldn't sink us after all."
Twilight Velvet said, "No, it couldn't. I have a feeling though that we have been knocked far off course."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Yes, we have been. I just hope we have enough food left to get to Faustica. That sea water can't be good for those apples. Chances are that by tomorrow they will not be any good and we won't have anything to eat."
Fleur de Lis began to cry and said, "The storm couldn't take us down but hunger will. Why is Twilight so mean?"
Twilight Velvet said, "It will be ok. Once we know the winds are gone for good Rarity will be able to levitate us there."
Rarity said, "I hope so. I don't know how far it is to Faustica and which direction it even is now."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Well I have a feeling that we have been blown a bit to the north and it would be to our southwest. How far, I don't know. I do know it is still a great distance but nothing that Rarity can't conquer."
Rarity saw more storm clouds approaching from the southwest and shouted "ANOTHER ONE! HOW CRUEL CAN SHE BE?"
Crescent Sparkle said, "That was the eye of the storm! The absolute worst part of the storm is headed straight for us! Get under deck, now!"
They were able to get under deck before the rain and wind returned yet they were in an area where the ocean was a bit shallow and they could hear the sides of the ship hitting rocks.
They heard a sudden boom and the roof caved in on them. Crescent Sparkle shouted, "We have been hit by lightning. We just have to do our best now!"
Twilight Velvet began to cry and panic and said, "She's truly trying to kill us! How could a child want to kill their own parents?"
Suddenly a huge wave washed in to the cabin and as the water was flowing out, it carried Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis, both of who did not know how to swim, out with it.
Rarity shouted, "Fancy Pants, Fleur de Lis, I will save you!"
Rarity headed out into the storm but couldn't see anything. The purple rain was falling so heavily she couldn't see anything and tried to navigate towards their screaming but a sudden sinister laugh was much louder.
Twilight Velvet shouted, "It's Twilight! How could she be out there in this?"
Crescent Sparkle said, "She isn't out there. She is having her laughter accompany this storm. She is watching this and doesn't want Rarity saving Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis."
Lightning struck the ship again causing further damage to the vessel and causing over half of the deck to collapse in on the cabin. Rarity was being thrown around by the wind. She tried to fly against it towards where she thought Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis were but the sharks would get to them first.
"Sharks, we're going to die!" screamed Fleur de Lis as one of them bit her
"Owww, help us Rarity, please help us! Aaah!" shouted Fleur de Lis and Fancy Pants one last time
Rarity got back under what was left of the cabin and began to cry realizing that her friends were dead.
"CURSE YOU TWILIGHT SPARKLE, CURSE YOU!" shouted Rarity as she cried harder and harder.
The ship then crashed on a small island. They managed to crawl into a small forest on the island despite the powerful rain, dangerous lightning and record winds. All they could do was huddle together as they waited for the storm to pass.
Back in Ponyville Twilight was watching everything unfold and was smiling as she felt like she had done her job. Even though Rarity and her parents still drew breath, she thought to herself, "Two less Canterlot elites! It serve those rich jerks right for flaunting their wealth!"
Shining Armor walked out to the balcony and asked, "Twilight, are your eyes supposed to be radioactive green for the duration of the storm?"
Twilight replied, "No, why do you ask?"
Shining Armor said, "Well your eyes are still a radioactive green. How much power did you put into that spell?"
Twilight replied, "Enough that my eyes shot green laser beams along with my bolt of energy."
Shining Armor said, "This is bad, very bad."
Twilight replied, "Why, I can still see perfectly fine."
Shining Armor said, "Since you did that, your eyes are going to be that color of green forever. You will look scarier than Sombra ever did."
Twilight replied, "Actually, I think it is a good thing. I wanted to look even more intimidating and this makes me look more intimidating than ever!"
Shining Armor said, "Do you want me to go warn everypony about this so they won't be scared of you when they see you."
Twilight replied, "Yes, I do. Could you go and do that while I watch the rest of this storm and how it plays out?"
Shining Armor said, "Sure, I know how you love to watch death and destruction now little sis."
That statement irritated Twilight some but figured that if he gets out of line she would just use the loyalty spell on him again. She realized that since she used an unprecedented amount of power for that hurricane, that she could use that much power for any spell. She thought to herself, "Now I can get Celestia, Galaxia and Rarity to obey me no matter what! The whole world shall soon be loyal to the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle!"
The morning after the storm Rarity and Twilight's parents finally woke up. They were sore, covered in branches and mud but the skies were clear, the winds were calm and the seas had settled down a bit. They woke up wondering what they were going to eat and feeling a lot of guilt over what happened to Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis.
Crescent Sparkle said, "Well I guess we better find something to eat and see if there is any fresh water here."
Twilight Velvet said, "I know, I think if we head further into the forest, we will be able to find what we need."
Rarity started to cry and said, "We should have never left Canterlot. If we had stayed Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis would still be alive. They were such good friends of mine and it is all my fault that they died."
Twilight Velvet said, "Rarity, you had no idea that Twilight had become this powerful. I don't think they would want you to be in despair like this. I think they would want you to be strong and do what you need to do to survive."
Rarity said, "Well I guess you are right, but how are we going to get to Faustica? The ship is ruined and it is a very long way to Faustica."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Don't worry Rarity, I do know a spell that will fix the ship some. It won't fix it entirely but it will fix it enough that we can sail to Faustica."
They finally found some food and fresh water further into the forest. This brightened the spirits of all three of them as they were very hungry and dehydrated after the events of yesterday.
Rarity asked, "Crescent, will we be able to take any of this food with us?"
Crescent Sparkle replied, "Yes Rarity, we will be able to. I am thinking it is a two day voyage to Faustica from here. We will set sail as soon as I cast the repair spell on the ship. Fill up on water while you can. While these fruits will hydrate us, we still need some water before we head out."
Twilight Velvet asked, "What direction will we be headed?"
Crescent Sparkle said, "The second half of that storm threw us a decent distance west because of the easterly winds on the backside of the storm. I am thinking we will be sailing south."
After gathering enough fruit for a couple of days they headed back to the shore where their ship lay in ruins. Crescent Sparkle was hoping that his spell would work.
"The destroyed vessel no longer sails, for the storm crushed it's nails, another voyage is a must so that it's passengers don't turn to dust, the ship shall be like new so that we can travel to a place that is new." recited Crescent Sparkle
Crescent's horn began to glow blue and he fired a bolt of energy at the ship. It was almost like new after the energy hit it. The three were thrilled when they saw this.
Rarity asked, "Crescent, did you write this spell on your own?"
Crescent Sparkle replied, "Well sort of. I found a spell in a book about ship repair but it didn't work all that well. I rewrote it and while it doesn't fix it entirely, it fixes it to where it is almost like new. Let's get our food on board and set sail. Let's hope Twilight doesn't cast any more storm spells."
Twilight Velvet said, "Let's hope not. Perhaps since she killed two ponies that she refers to as 'Canterlot snobs' she will leave us alone."
Rarity said, "I wouldn't count on it. She has a heart colder than stone and a mind set on destroying all who show dissent against her."
In Ponyville Twilight woke up after a good night's rest. She headed down to her dining hall and was greeted by her usual company.
Starswirl said, "Twilight, what happened to your eyes?"
Twilight replied, "Oh I cast a spell so powerful that my eyes acted like green laser beams and now Shining Armor is saying that they will be like this forever."
Starswirl said, "He may be right, but I'm not sure. It is a legend that if a pony does that their eyes will stay that color forever. Since nopony before you has ever put that much power into a spell, we don't really know."
General Dark Night said, "Don't let anypony bring you down over them Twilight. I think they look excellent. They match my eyes now!"
General Thunder Rage added, "I agree with Dark Night. Green is a very good eye color to have, especially for one in a position of power."
LaurFa said, "I've never seen anything like it. Can you still see ok Twilight?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, I can see fine. If my eyes are like this forever, it won't bother me any. It is just the white part that turned green, I still have the purple in my eyes too, and that is what is important."
The royal chef was feeling ill that morning so Shining Armor was the one who cooked breakfast. "Breakfast is served." said Shining Armor as he brought everypony's meal into them.
Shining Armor asked, "Twilight, what are you going to do now that you have killed two dissidents and done who knows what with them and their ship?"
Twilight replied, "Dad fixed the ship and they are sailing south to Faustica as we speak. Enough of this talk. I am hungry and you know my feelings about business talk during meals. We shall all meet in the throne room after breakfast to discuss this."
After breakfast they all headed to the throne room to discuss things further. They all knew that how things turned out with Twilight's hurricane would affect what they would be doing.
Shining Armor asked, "So what all happened? I am sure you watched the whole event."
Twilight replied, "Well they managed to survive the first part of the storm with only minimal damage to the ship. It was them coming out and assessing the situation while the eye was passing over them that made them feel more at ease."
LaurFa asked, "What happened once the eye passed over them and the storm hit again?"
Twilight replied, "Well dad knew what was coming. The worst part of the storm is what damaged the ship and caused Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis to get swept out of the cabin by one of the waves."
Dark Night asked, "What happened to those two once they were out in the ocean. Did anypony try to help them?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, Rarity tried to help them but she could not fly in 200 mile per hour winds and was unable to help them. As far as the two Canterlot elites go, they were eaten by sharks."
Starswirl said, "200 mile per hour winds in a hurricane? That has to be a record! I thought only tornadoes could produce those kind of winds."
Twilight replied, "Well I put a ton of power into that storm. I wanted to make sure it sent them a clear message that you don't cross my path. Besides, what would have been the fun in producing a weaker storm like the one I tested on Tampa Neigh?"
Starswirl said, "Wow, 200 miles per hour and two elites eaten by sharks. That was definitely a great storm!"
Thunder Rage said, "Eaten by sharks eh? That must have been a tasty meal for them!"
Twilight laughed and said, "Eeyep, they made tasty nom noms for those sharks!"
Shining Armor asked, "Twilight, what happened with this hurricane you created anyway?"
Twilight replied, "It moved over the cold waters where the Cosmos Current flows and it dissipated into just a couple light rain showers."
Shining Armor said, "Well that is good, I didn't want it to hit Equestria."
Twilight replied, "It didn't, I watched it weaken last night and saw it dissipate this morning. There is nothing to worry about."
Starswirl said, "Twilight, you know what this means don't you?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, two rich jerks were turned into shark food."
Starswirl said, "Not just that, but since you made such a powerful storm and made it the way you did, you are classified as more than a queen now. Technically, you are a Goddess."
"A goddess?" asked a stunned Twilight
Starswirl replied, "Yes, a goddess. Do you want us to call you by a formal title now Goddess Twilight?"
Twilight replied, "No. I don't want any of you or anypony else in Ponyville calling me Goddess, your Majesty or anything like that. Just speak to me the way you always have. As for my enemies, they will address me as Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle."
Dark Night said, "That sounds like a great title to make them use. Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle shows fearlessness, brutality, absolute rule and complete dominance."
Twilight replied, "That is exactly the image I want to put forth! I am thinking we need to call a meeting with all of my recruits as soon as possible. Sometime within the next week or two will be best, but I want to relax for the next couple or three days. Besides, Rarity and my tyrant parents are sailing to Faustica and I want to see what happens with that."
Shining Armor's eyes grew wide and he asked, "Are you going to send another storm their way?"
Twilight replied, "No, I am going to let them go there. Luna and Cosmos are loyal to me now but they will be acting as they always have so I am sure they will get asylum there. I am not worried about them. I will deal with them when the time is right."
LaurFa said, "You are amazing Twilight. Who would have thought that a unicorn with such humble beginnings would rise to be a goddess! You are a true inspiration!"
Twilight replied, "Thank you LaurFa, but I'm no better than anypony else. I still bleed the same color of blood as everypony else does."
Starswirl asked, "So what is our next order of business?"
Twilight replied, "None for now. This meeting is adjourned. Let's just relax for a couple or three days and leave business out of our minds entirely."
Twilight headed up to her balcony and continued to watch what was going on with her new enemies's voyage. She saw that they had a northerly wind pushing them south and she thought to herself, "I will be nice. I won't change the wind any. Besides, I've been watching all this action too much! I'm getting addicted!"
Out at sea Rarity and Twilight's parents were sailing south at a good pace which made them all feel better knowing that if it kept up, they would reach their destination sooner than they thought.
Rarity said, "Wow, we are really moving. If this keeps up we might get to Faustica sooner than we thought."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Yes, we will get there sooner. This northerly wind is strong and chances are if it stays this way, we could get there by tomorrow afternoon."
Twilight Velvet said, "That would be great. After the journey we have been on, some stability would be nice."
Crescent Sparkle replied, "Well before we go saying how great it would be we had better hope that the royal family will grand us asylum."
Rarity said, "I know both Celestia and Luna very well and I am sure that they will talk their parents into letting us stay. I don't know Galaxia or Cosmos, but I have heard they are very nice and generous princesses."
The wind picked up later that evening and pushed them along at a pace that would get them to Faustica a little after noon. Knowing this they were able to get a good night's sleep, their first one in several days.
After two days of sailing southward Rarity and Twilight's parents finally see Alicorn Island approaching on the horizon. It has been a long voyage but they all are happy to see that they have finally reached their destination. Rarity got out of the boat first as they arrived at the shore.
Twilight Velvet said, "Alright, we are here. Let's head to the royal palace and see if they will grant us asylum. If they don't then we will not be in a good situation."
Rarity replied, "I am sure they will grant us asylum! After all, Celestia and Luna do know us very well and I wouldn't think they would turn us away."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Well let's get up there. We can't just sit here and wait."
Rarity levitated Twilight's parents as she flew up to the palace to take a look around. They were amazed at everything they saw. The streets were made of marble, the sun was shining down on the city and a gentle breeze was blowing across the city. They knew that they had arrived in the perfect place.
They were walking around when they were confronted by Galaxia. Galaxia asked, "Who are you three ponies and what is your purpose here?"
Rarity replied, "We had to leave Equestria because Twilight Sparkle's tyranny had become horrible. Because we are friends with Celestia she started to treat us poorly. I am Rarity, a former friend of Twilight. These two are Crescent Sparkle and Twilight Velvet, Twilight's parents."
"Wait a minute?" asked Galaxia "Twilight started treating a friend of hers and her own parents poorly? What would possess her to do something like that?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Well Crescent and I questioned her plans on her desires for not only ruling Equestria with an iron hoof, but conquering the entire world."
Rarity added, "She threw me in the dungeon for refusing to take part in her military exercises and sassing one of her commanders. I don't know what is wrong with her but something changed and she went from being wise and caring to being mean and ruthless."
Galaxia asked, "I am guessing that you three are here to seek asylum. Am I correct?"
Twilight Velvet said, "Yeah, that is why we are here. Would you be willing to grant us asylum?"
Galaxia replied, "Well let's go up to the palace and see what Cosmos, Luna and Celestia think. I have no problems with it but all four of us have to agree with it."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Thank you Princess. We appreciate that you are considering this."
They walked up to the palace hoping that they would be granted asylum. This was their first trip to Faustica and hoped that they could make a good impression on the royal family. They entered the palace uneasy wondering if they would be welcomed or be shunned."
Princess Celestia said, "Twilight, Crescent, Rarity! What are you doing here? It is so nice to see you!"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Well as you know my daughter has seized full control of Equestria. We challenged her authority and she threw us out. We are wondering if you guys would be willing to allow us to live here?"
Luna entered the throne room and said, "Twilight Velvet, I over heard that you, your husband and Rarity were thrown out of Equestria and that you are seeking asylum here. Is that right?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Yes, your Majesty, we have. Her tyranny is great and we had to flee for our lives."
Rarity added, "I was even cast into the dungeon for thirty days for daring to challenge her authority."
Luna replied, "Ouch, she sounds like a pony that won't put up with any disobedience."
Rarity said, "After that, we decided to set sail and come here. Twilight hates the Canterlot elite and we took a couple of Canterlot aristocrats, Fleur de Lis and Fancy Pants, with us and that did not please Twilight one bit."
Galaxia replied, "Oh, Fleur de Lis and Fancy Pants, I am good friends with them! What happened and why aren't they here?"
Rarity replied, "Well, a couple of days after we set sail Twilight summoned a hurricane upon us and she used so much power that it wound up having wind speeds of 200 miles per hour."
Cosmos looked stunned and said, "200 miles per hour? I didn't know anypony was powerful enough to summon a hurricane of that strength."
Rarity continued, "Yeah, and the ship was hit by lightning twice, the waves tore the ship apart and Fleur de Lis and Fancy Pants were swept out of the ship and eaten by sharks."
Galaxia was shocked and shouted, "They were eaten by sharks? Oh, Twilight will pay for this. I am not going to risk an attack on Equestria right now as she is far too powerful. We shall deal with her if she decides to invade us."
Rarity replied, "That is probably the best plan of action. Chances are that if she does invade, she will be bringing a huge army of dark Alicorn soldiers and changeling warriors."
Galaxia said, "Changeling warriors and dark Alicorn soldiers? How did she acquire dark Alicorn soldiers? Did they all learn to write their own magic?"
Crescent said, "No, she is powerful enough that she can transform unicorns into Alicorns whether they have written their own magic or not. That on top of her knowing a duplication spell, any army she would bring would be massive and she could replenish any soldiers that are lost."
Rarity added, "She also knows a spell to make her forces very resistant to energy from their foes. Basically, it would take more power than anypony could ever dream of to defeat her."
Galaxia decided it was time to see if Rarity and Twilight's parents would be given asylum. Galaxia said to her fellow monarchs, "These three are seeking asylum here. I am willing to grant it to them but what about all of you?"
Cosmos, Luna and Celestia all gathered together and talked for a minute. They came out of their discussion and Cosmos said, "Yes, we will gladly give you asylum here. Considering everything that has happened, we would probably grant almost anypony asylum here."
In Ponyville Twilight is watching the events unfold from her black tower. She sees everything that is going on and is pleased. She realizes that everything is going exactly the way she planned it. She started to contemplate about how she was going to start her master plan and decided that starting in the areas east of the Alicorn Ocean and moving her way east would be the best plan as she wanted to save the grand prize for last.
Dark Night came running to Twilight and asked, "Twilight, so did the traitors get asylum in Faustica?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, they did but I'm not worried. Once we seize the grand prize they will be cast into the void."
Dark Night asked, "What about the monarchs there?"
Twilight replied, "Well, Galaxia and Celestia will be cast into the void. Since Luna and Cosmos are loyal to me, I will make them stewards for the island since I can't be everywhere all at once."
Dark Night said, "That sounds like a good plan Twilight. I know this will be down the road a ways but the world will be perfect once you claim it all for yourself."
Twilight replied, "Yep, it will be. Everything will be perfect and the world will be full of harmony and unity."
In Faustica Rarity looked off to the east and said, "What are we going to do right now? Twilight has a very close eye on everything that is going on and I am certain that she has no plans to lighten up on anything. She desires one thing and one thing only, and that is absolute power."
They headed into the royal family's dining hall hoping that they could get some rest. Once they arrived, there was plenty of food to have, which made Rarity and Twilight's parents very happy.
Rarity said, "Well at least there is plenty of food here. I am happy to see that we won't go hungry."
They were discussing things over lunch about what else Twilight had been discussing. Galaxia asked, "What else has Twilight done that we should know about?"
Rarity replied, "Well she turned the rest of her friends into Alicorns and cast a loyalty spell upon them. she also transformed three other unicorns in town into Alicorns and cast loyalty spells on them as well."
Celestia asked, "What about you Rarity? Didn't she cast a loyalty spell on you as well?"
Rarity replied, "Yes, she did but perhaps because of some quality about my personality, it did not work on me. Yes that makes me much more vulnerable to other punishments from her, but at least she can't control me."
Luna said, "That is very true Rarity. Enough of this talk for now. Let's eat. I'm starving."
Back in her tower Twilight was watching over all of this and thinking to herself, "This is perfect! They are granting them asylum and chances are they will ultimately let their guard down and when the time is right, they will wish they had never betrayed me."
Starswirl said, "You seem to be in a very good mood Twilight. I take it things are going well for you?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, my mom and my sister are fairly distraught over in Faustica and they know absolutely nothing about the alliance that Cosmos, Luna and I have. They are sure going to be in for a surprise when we attack and my sister and my dad turn on them!"
Starswirl said, "Well I am glad to see that things are going well for you. I never was overly fond of Celestia anyway. She always seemed to have this bad attitude thinking that she was better than everypony else. She especially thought she was better than Luna, and Luna and I were friends so that always irritated me."
Twilight replied, "Well I always noticed that as well. Luna always had a certain attitude to her but once Celestia turned mean I liked Luna much more."
Back in Faustica the ship they came in on was struck by lightning and was burned badly, making it unusable at the moment. Twilight Velvet was not thrilled when she saw everything going the way it was.
She thought to herself, "What else could possibly go wrong? Our ship gets hit by lightning and now it is getting torn to shreds by the ocean. Is it too much to ask for things to go right for one measly day?"
Cosmos decided to go to the one place where he knew he could find some solace, the palace courtyard. They weren't going anywhere so he wasn't worried about the damage to the ship. He was more worried about Galaxia and Celestia discovering the alliance that he and Luna have forged with Twilight.
"I can never let them discover the alliance Luna and I have with Twilight and her forces. If they do we would probably be banished somewhere." said Cosmos to himself
Luna walked over and replied, "Dad, they can't banish you anywhere. You are more powerful than them. Even if they banished us Twilight could easily bring us back. She probably knows a spell for absolutely everything and if she doesn't know it, she will learn it."
Cosmos said, "Yeah you're right Luna. I have no need to worry. We will just see how things play out as time progresses."
It was shortly after sunrise the next morning when Twilight was greeted by her usual company for breakfast. They could tell that she was in a good, confident mood. Her generals knew that it was most likely going to be an uneventful day in which very little or anything that was going to go on.
Dark Night asked, "Twilight, what has you in such a good mood?"
Twilight replied, "Well my parents and Rarity made it to Alicorn Island. Little do they know that not the entire royal family there is loyal to them."
LaurFa asked, "Who is loyal to you?"
Twilight smiled and replied, "Princess Luna and her father, King Cosmos. I managed to brainwash them when I brought it to their attention that because they are light in color, Galaxia and Celestia are treated better by their subjects."
Shining Armor asked, "Why are Galaxia and Celestia treated better over there?"
LaurFa said, "It is a sad, pathetic reason. It is because both Luna and Cosmos have coats which are midnight blue while Celestia and Galaxia both have light colored coats. Cosmos said something about them being scared of Luna as well."
Thunder Rage said, "Well that is more than enough reason to turn on Alicorn Island and Faustica. With their own subjects treating them poorly, I don't blame them for joining our alliance."
Starswirl asked, "So Twilight, what are you going to be doing today?"
Twilight replied, "I know I might sound paranoid, but I am going to tap into the eye today. I just have bad vibes about something bad going on somewhere in Equestria today."
Shining Armor asked, "Do you know what part of Equestria Twily?"
Twilight replied, "I'm not sure, but my sixth sense is telling me it will be in the northeastern realm but I will scan the whole country to be safe."
"Sounds like a plan to me," said Starswirl "When will you be starting your scan today?"
Twilight replied, "After breakfast. I need a full stomach before I start out on this. I don't want my mind to be distracted by my stomach growling."
After breakfast Twilight headed up to her bedroom to tap into the power of the jade Alicorn. She was scanning the entirety of Equestria and everything looked completely normal.
She was thinking to herself, "This is the way it should be. Everypony living their lives normally and not causing any problems."
The eye suddenly stopped moving and began to zoom into Marentreal and the activities going on there. Twilight looked at this vision and became enraged.
"HOW DARE THEY DO THIS! HOW DARE THEY SHOW DISSENT! THEY WILL LEARN YOU DON'T SHOW DISSENT AGAINST THE DARK GODDESS TWILIGHT SPARKLE!" shouted Twilight
Shining Armor came running up to her room and asked, "Twilight, what is wrong?"
Twilight replied, "There are protests going on up in Marentreal. They are burning images of me in effigy, their mayor and city council even had the audacity to write a declaration of independence from Equestria which they will sign later this week. They are finished!"
Shining Armor asked, "When do we need to be ready to go and teach them a lesson?"
Twilight replied, "The sooner the better. We need to go and prepare our soldiers for this. Not all of them will be going but they all need to be ready."
Twilight and Shining Armor headed down to the base and saw that they were engaging in normal, everyday exercises. Shining Armor shouted at them to get their attention.
Thunder Rage said, "What is going on general?"
Shining Armor said, "There is a rebellion going on in Equestria that Twilight wants taken care of. I will let her tell you the full details of it."
Twilight started, "Alright everypony, we have a rebellion going on in Marentreal. They are burning images of me in effigy, they are holding signs which read 'death to the dark queen', 'Bring back Celestia and Luna,' and 'death to Ponyville.'"
"What else have they done?" asked Thunder Rage
Twilight replied, "They have even written their own declaration of independence making them free from all of Equestria's influence which they will sign later this week, OR SO THEY THINK!"
Shining Armor asked, "Twilight, you know this better than me. What is the makeup of the population there. That will aid us greatly in our battle planning."
Twilight replied, "The population makeup of Marentreal is 60% unicorns, 35% earth ponies, 5% others, such as donkeys, mules, etc. and no Pegasus ponies. This means that the strengthening armor spell will be needed."
Dark Night asked, "What are the majority of their buildings made of?"
Twilight replied, "Over 70% of the buildings there are made of wood while under 30% are made of stone. I am thinking that perhaps 1,000 Alicorn soldiers and 1,000 changeling soldiers will be needed."
Shining Armor asked, "What is the population of the city?"
Twilight replied, "The city has a population of around 50,000."
Shining Armor said, "Wow, now I know why you want to take so many soldiers, especially given that over 30,000 of those are unicorns."
Twilight replied, "Yes, and also while they don't have the most advanced magic schools there, they do have a unicorn college that ranks in the top 5 of all Equestria. But with brute force, an armor shield and a large army, we will scare them to the point where they will obey me."
Shining Armor asked, "When do you want me to have them ready?"
Twilight replied, "Three days. Also, I think you should stay here since you are second in command. It is something Chrysalis told me about how to keep your next in live alive. Also, I will be engaging in these exercises to make sure I am on the same page as everypony else."
Shining Armor said, "Well ok. I know you are the pony with all the power and it would be best if they met their Dark Goddess for themselves. That should scare them into subservience."
Twilight replied, "My plans exactly. Any that don't die but show resistance will be sent into the void."
The three days passed quickly as Twilight woke up early to find her soldiers ready to be hoof picked and go. Twilight wound up picking her generals, majors and captains as the officers she would take and took the 1,000 strongest soldiers of each type.
Twilight addressed the soldiers she was taking, "Alright everypony, this journey will take us a good seven hours. There is a forest around 30 minutes outside of Marentreal that I want us to rest in when we get there. We will stay the night in there and then head out early the next morning and strike them as everypony is headed out to work and the market is getting set up."
Major Dark Cloud asked, "Twilight, won't that cause there to be many casualties."
This question hit Twilight wrong. She glared at the major and replied, "That is the whole purpose of this mission. If we don't cause a decent amount of casualties, they will not get the message and will continue with this declaration of independence garbage they have going on."
Dark Cloud replied, "I'm sorry Twilight. I know that Celestia never used deadly force with rebellions."
Twilight replied, "Well I am of a different bloodline and I want all my subjects to know that I am not like Celestia. If you complain about me, burn me in effigy, try to declare independence or anything else that is not in the best interests of Equestria, you will be punished. That is why nopony will misbehave with me. Unlike Celestia, I actually have the guts to crush rebellions and not worry about being viewed as this beautiful sun princess."
Captain Storm Force began to giggle a little bit and this was frowned upon by Twilight. Twilight asked, "What do you think is so funny Storm Force? Things to laugh over are to be discussed over meals, not while I am addressing you."
Storm Force replied, "I was just thinking about how they think of her as a beautiful sun flank!"
Twilight got a grin on her face and said, "That is pretty funny. Let's save that for later though, we need focus troops!"
Twilight added, "Wow, I know there is loyalty but with the exercises Shining Armor put all of us through, it requires true loyalty to stay put for those. This is perfect as it will aid me in my biggest mission."
Black Mist asked, "What is your biggest mission Twilight?"
Twilight replied, "I will discuss that when the time is right. For now we need to focus on the current mission, setting the ponies in Marentreal straight. For right now, be at ease and enjoy yourselves before we leave."
Twilight headed back up to her tower to continue to monitor the problems in Marentreal while her soldiers relaxed and talked among themselves down at the base. Shining Armor was a bit worried about his sister going on this mission.
Shining Armor went into her bedroom and asked, "I'm worried sis. I'm worried about you going on this mission with me."
Twilight replied, "Big brother, don't you remember that as my second in command you have to stay here? Also, why are you worried about me going on this mission. I have went on plenty of other missions. I conquered Canterlot with my forces and I fended off Luna and Celestia with them, on my own. Remember Canterlot was over 90% unicorns, unicorns that know more magic. Remember I did this all while you were in an green cocoon of ooze."
Shining Armor said, "Oh, I'm sorry sis. I totally forgot about that."
The next morning arrived all too quickly for Twilight's forces but not soon enough for her. She headed down to the base after breakfast and gathered her officers.
"Dark Night, Thunder Rage, have you chosen the regular soldiers you will be taking with us?" asked Twilight
Dark Night replied, "Yes, we have. Us along with our Majors and Captains have chosen which ones will be best for this mission."
Twilight replied, "Ok, let's get going. I want to get to the edge of that forest by mid-afternoon so we can have a decent meal and plenty of rest before our all out assault tomorrow morning. Let's go."
Twilight and her forces took off towards the northeast on a mission. Shining Armor said to himself, "I know she is tough as nails but I just hope she doesn't get taken down and taken prisoner."
Colonel Lightning Wasp flew up next to him and said, "Twilight get taken prisoner? Come on, she is the most powerful being in the entire universe. She could just teleport herself out of there and fire energy at the city and destroy it."
Shining Armor replied, "Yeah, that is true. I have worried about her since she was a filly and even though she has powers that I could never dream of, I still worry about her."
Twilight and her forces sped off to the northeast reaching the edge of the forest by two in the afternoon. They landed and Twilight addressed them.
"Alright guys, you see that faint skyline off to the east? That is our target. What they have done is treason and will suffer greatly. Grab yourselves some food and get some rest, we have a big mission tomorrow." said Twilight
Major Black Mist replied, "Will there be any spells you will be using for this mission?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, there will be. I will be using the armor spell, the invisibility spell and the reversal spell. If any other spells will be necessary, I will use them. They have over 30,000 unicorns in their population. We can use that to our advantage."
Thunder Rage said, "How can we do that?"
Twilight replied, "They will be firing energy at us. With the armor spell, their energy beams will bounce off of us and do damage to their own city or even hit each other. They will create as much panic among themselves as we will be creating for them. Let's relax and get some food."
Twilight and her forces ate good meals that day and got plenty of rest that night. Twilight wished she had her nice, comfy bed with her but knew that sometimes a pony has to make sacrifices. She woke her forces up before dawn so they could eat and arrive on schedule.
After breakfast, Twilight addressed her forces. "Alright guys," said Twilight "from here it is around a thirty minute flight to our target. I will cast the spells right before we leave and will cast the counter spell for the invisibility spell right as we are floating over the city. I need us all to gather around me."
All of Twilight's forces gathered around her knowing that would make the spells work the best.
Twilight recited, "Whether it be one or a bunch of ones, nopony needs to see so that we don't have to flee, invisibility is the treat of not having to retreat."
They stayed around Twilight for the armor spell as Twilight recited, "The one without armor does not stand a chance, so it is what we must enhance, the unarmed one will likely receive death, with armor he shall continue to draw breath, without armor he will be torn to shreds like a rag but with armor victory is in the bag."
Twilight and all her forces were invisible and had greatly enhanced armor. Twilight was thinking that now was the time to go. By the time they get there it will be the morning rush and the market would be set up and running.
Twilight shouted, "Let's go everypony. Let's crush this rebellion! Let's show them who's boss!"
It was anything but a normal morning in Marentreal. Everypony in town was gathered around city hall to watch the signing of their declaration of independence by the members of the city council and the mayor. Little did they know that what would have been a truly wonderful day would turn out to be the worst day in their city's history.
Right as Twilight's forces were floating above the center of the city where city hall was located the ceremony began. As Mayor Red Hooves walked out onto the steps the entire city cheered.
He addressed the crowd. "I am glad you could make it out today everypony. Ever since the new dark queen has taken power things just aren't the same as they used to be. The city council and myself decided that since our beloved Princess Celestia was no longer in power, that we would simply form our own nation. Once we finish signing this document, we will be known as Marentrealia!"
The crowd started cheering wildly as a booming voice was heard from above that said, "Dark Queen? Don't you mean Dark Goddess now!"
Mayor Red Hooves shouted, "You can't harm us from Ponyville your evil Majesty!"
The crowd continued to cheer loudly as their mayor was standing up to the voice.
Twilight signaled to her forces to gather around her and she recited, "The unseen shall now be seen, with their friends being present, hiding only shows resent, those who have disappeared shall now appear."
Twilight and her forces were now visible. Twilight shouted, "TO WAR, TO VICTORY, CRUSH THEM!"
The citizens of the city saw this and started to run around frantically as they were getting hit with energy and getting coated in green ooze. The mayor decided that he was going to stand up to Twilight instead of letting her win.
Mayor Red Hooves said, "Oh your so called Dark Goddess, you can't stop us from doing this! We are free from you and your tyranny forever!"
Twilight fired energy at him throwing him backwards into a brick wall. She flew towards him and said, "You little foal! You seriously think you can contend with me! Me! The Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle! The most powerful being in the entire universe!"
Mayor Red Hooves asked, "First off, why are your eyes Sombra green and second why are you doing this?
Twilight replied, "My eyes are Sombra green because I have become incredibly powerful in dark magic and second, I am doing this because I saw this garbage going on from afar."
Mayor Red Hooves said, "How? LaurFa is the only one who can do that!"
Twilight started to laugh and said, "Oh Mayor Red Hooves. Things change, times change, leaders change, the most powerful even changes. I already have full control of Equestria. Someday it will be the entire world!"
Mayor Red Hooves replied, "You will never get away with this!"
Twilight laughed, "That is what they all say!"
While they were engaged in their standoff Twilight's forces were knocking over buildings, killing the citizens of Marentreal left and right. They could be heard screaming and crying in the streets out of pure horror as they watched their friends and family killed.
Twilight decided the time had come to finish this. She started to float above the city. She grew a deep shade of purple, her green eyes had laser beams firing out of them and her horn began to fire energy at the city, destroying buildings and killing the residents as she did this. She was getting sick and tired of listening to their whining so she decided to banish them to the void.
She shouted at her forces to get out of the city. Once they were at a safe distance a huge black bulb formed at the end of her horn as she recited, "You have committed treason and that is not in season, you are a threat to me and I simply can not let that be, I can no longer be annoyed so you shall be cast into the void."
A giant black vortex opened up and began to suck them all into it. Within thirty seconds every single citizen that was not killed was banished. Twilight and her forces cheered loudly in their triumph.
Twilight said, "Good job guys. This took a lot less time than I thought. If we leave now we can get home in time to have a snack and go to bed. Let's go, my bed is calling out to me!"
Twilight and her forces sped off towards Ponyville knowing that they had crushed the rebellion. Twilight hoped that this would send a loud and clear message to not show any dissent or they would face the same fate as Marentreal did.
They finally arrived home around eight that evening and decided to have a post-mission meeting.
Shining Armor asked, "How did everything go? Did you guys teach them a lesson?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, you could say we did. We killed over 10,000 and the rest I banished into the void. So they are no longer around to cause me any more problems.
Shining Armor said, "Wow Twily, when you mean business you mean business. With this taken care of, does this mean you will start planning for that ultimate goals of yours?"
Twilight replied, "Of course! Why wouldn't I? I am thinking we should start our endeavors on the other side of the Alicorn Ocean and work our way east. I want Alicorn Island to be my final prize."
Shining Armor asked, "Why? Wouldn't you want to get the toughest one out of the way first?"
Twilight replied, "They have already proven they have nothing on us and second, they only have a population of 1,002 and 2 of those are loyal to us. Besides, watching Celestia wallow in her own despair as I become ruler of the entire world will be priceless. Watching her sob feeling it is her fault for me becoming so powerful is actually quite entertaining."
Shining Armor said, "I thought it made you so mad you wanted to banish her to the void."
Twilight replied, "Normally it does. When I take Alicorn Island and have possession of the entire planet, I want to celebrate around her sobbing sun flank."
Shining Armor asked, "Will you be banishing her to the void?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, her and Galaxia. I have already talked to Cosmos and Luna about this and they agree banishing them to the void will be the best option. Those two will then be stewards over there, good loyal stewards."
Shining Armor said, "Well ok. I am heading to bed now. I am sure you missed your bed last night so you will probably be doing the same thing I take it?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I will be. Tomorrow I will start making plans for my final goal. Good night big brother."
Shining Armor replied, "Good night little sister."
Twilight headed to her room to do one final scan over the world. She noticed across Equestria that all was calm but hoped that tomorrow it would be the same. She did not feel like having to go crush rebellions all the time. She needed to go and conquer the world.
Twilight woke up early the following morning to go and get her friends and other recruits as the time had come. The time had come to hold the meeting that would decide who would do what in her ultimate conquest. She needed to know what the plans were for who would lead what troops, who would hold stewardship over various parts of the world and most of all, it was vital that all her forces be present for this.
Twilight first headed over to Sweet Apple Acres where she was greeted by Applejack.
"Howdy Twilight," said Applejack "What brings y'all over to these parts?"
Twilight replied, "I need you to come over to my tower for an extremely important meeting. We will be holding it outside because it requires that everypony be there, whether it is me, Shining Armor, one of you guys, Commander Colgate, one of my officers all the way down to the last changeling drone and dark Alicorn soldier."
Applejack replied, "Consider it done Twilight. What time is y'all's meeting?"
Twilight replied, "It will be at ten this morning. I still have the rest of our friends along with my other recruits to round up. I will see you then."
Applejack asked, "Twilight, what happened to your eyes. Why do they look like Sombra's eyes?"
Twilight replied, "Oh it happened when I put a little too much power into a spell."
Applejack asked, "Was it when y'all cast that hurricane spell to strike that traitor Rarity and your parents?"
Twilight replied, "Yes it was. But enough about my eyes. Will we be seeing you at the meeting?"
Applejack said, "Yes ma'am. Ah'll be seeing y'all at ten."
Twilight replied, "Glad to hear it Applejack. Your participation in this is extremely important."
Twilight then headed over to Sugarcube Corner where she ran into Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.
Pinkie said, "Hi Twilight, did you decide to have something sweet for breakfast?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah sure, a cupcake sounds good but that isn't why I came over here."
Pinkie asked, "What happened to your eyes Twilight?"
Twilight replied, "Well this happened when I put too much power in a spell I cast."
Rainbow Dash asked, "Was it the hurricane spell to sink the drama queen?"
Twilight laughed, "Yes, it was that one!"
Fluttershy asked, "If you didn't come over here solely for something sweet, then why did you come over here?"
Twilight replied, "I have come over to tell you that I need you at a very important meeting at ten this morning."
Rainbow Dash asked, "What is so important about this meeting that you had to come over here yourself to tell us?"
Pinkie asked, "Twilight, is it time to plan for the big one?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, Pinkie, it is time to plan for the big one. Because the three of you are Alicorns, you will need to help me with this. If we complete this mission, it will not only make our lives here in Equestria better, but it will make all our lives better."
Rainbow Dash asked, "Have you talked to Applejack, Colgate, Lemon Hearts and Lyra yet?"
Twilight replied, "I have spoken with Applejack, she will be there. I am headed over to Colgate's office to speak to her now and then I will head over to the cafe to catch Lyra and Lemon Hearts."
Fluttershy said, "Well I will be there Twilight, you don't have to worry."
Pinkie said, "I will be there too Twilight. Do I need to bring snacks?"
Twilight replied, "No, you don't need to bring snacks. You would need a whole army of cooks to bring enough snacks for my army."
Rainbow Dash said, "You see Pinkie, she puts her military above all else. Don't worry Twilight, I'll be there."
Twilight replied, "That is good to hear everypony and Rainbow, I don't put my military above everypony else. I just figure that if not everypony can have a snack, then there shouldn't be any at all."
Pinkie asked, "Well what about every changeling?"
Twilight replied, "They count as part of everypony Pinkie. Alright girls, I will see you at ten."
Rainbow asked, "Pinkie, when you say are we going to discuss the big one, do you mean her plans for global conquest?"
Pinkie replied, "Well of course! You know that Goddess Twilight needs to do this so she will have control over the domain of a goddess don't you."
Rainbow asked, "But LaurFa never ruled the whole planet and she was a goddess."
Pinkie replied, "Well Twilight is different. She is special. I can't wait to hear about her plans!"
Rainbow said, "Whatever Pinkie. She is a friend of mine but I think this whole global conquest idea isn't going to work."
Twilight next headed to Colgate's office and arrived just as she was getting there. Colgate had a look of concern on her face but knew this was important.
"Hi Colgate," said Twilight "how is your day going?"
Colgate replied, "Well, it's going. What brings you over here?"
Twilight said, "I have an extremely important meeting at my tower that you have to be present for. It involves my further endeavors."
Colgate asked, "Is this the big mission that you have been thinking about for so long?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, it is. I really need you there Colgate."
Colgate decided to not open her office that day and walked with Twilight over to the cafe. Colgate said, "Sure, I will just go with you to get the rest of our recruits. Do your friends know about this?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, they know about this. I only need to tell Lyra and Lemon Hearts. I am sure that they will be excited about this."
Colgate said, "Well I don't know if they will be excited or not. Lyra wanted to practice playing her lyre for the concert in Marentreal next week."
Twilight replied, "There will be no concert there next week, so she won't have to worry about it."
Colgate asked, "Why won't there be a concert there next week?"
Twilight replied, "You will find out when I tell Lyra about it. This is something she needs to know about."
Twilight and Colgate arrive at the cafe and see Lyra and Lemon Drops having some breakfast outside. Her and Colgate walk up to them and start a conversation.
"Hi Lyra, Hi Lemon Hearts." said Colgate
"Hi Colgate, Hi Twilight." said Lyra and Lemon Hearts in unison
Twilight said, "Lyra, you look kind of down. What is wrong?"
Lrya replied, "The concert I was supposed to play in next week was cancelled. The message I got was that the city was attacked."
Twilight asked, "What city were you supposed to play in?"
Lyra replied, "I was supposed to play in Marentreal. I heard something about a bunch of dark Alicorns attacking the city. Were those your soldiers Twilight?"
Twilight said, "Yes, they were. They were not only holding protests there, but they had a declaration of independence they were about to sign when we attacked."
Lemon Hearts replied, "I heard that over 10,000 ponies were killed there and almost 40,000 were sucked into some sort of vortex. Is that true?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, it is. They rebelled against my rule and the proper steps had to be taken to make sure that there are no more of these rebellions in Equestria."
Colgate added, "Twilight is having a meeting at her tower at ten this morning and we need both of you there."
Lyra started to cry and shouted, "How could you Twilight? I know you don't want any dissent but to kill over ten thousand ponies and banish nearly forty thousand into the void. Isn't that a bit too harsh?"
Lemon Hearts nudged her and said, "Lyra, just move on, ok. We don't need Twilight mad at either one of us."
Lyra was crying a bit but said to Twilight, "We will be there at ten. Will it be inside or outside?"
Twilight replied, "It will be held outside. I will be addressing not just you three, but my friends, all my other recruits and my entire army."
Lemon Hearts said, "We will be there Twilight, you can count on us."
Twilight and Colgate headed back to her tower. Twilight was not one bit happy over Lyra's sadness but figured she would get over it.
Colgate asked, "Maybe she will be able to go to a concert somewhere else?"
Twilight replied, "Nopony is going to be doing much of anything except helping me for a while. That means you too. I want to start this within the month."
Colgate asked, "I won't be able to have my office open now until you finish this mission of yours?"
Twilight replied, "No, you won't be able to have it open until WE finish this mission of OURS."
Colgate followed Twilight to her tower but realized that Twilight was not going to be as sweet or understanding now that she has decided to go for everything. Colgate decided to just follow Twilight's lead and hope that this got finished as soon as possible.
Ten o'clock arrived and Twilight was standing up on her balcony while everypony else was down on the ground awaiting her address. Twilight began to speak right as the clock tower struck ten.
"Hello everypony. I am glad you could make it. I'm sure some of you are wondering why you are here."
General Dark Night replied, "Yes Twilight, we are."
Twilight said, "Well the time has come. As you all know, I know many spells and I am the most powerful being not just here in the world, but in the entire universe. I was told by Starswirl the Bearded that since I created such a powerful and massive storm, that I am no longer just a queen, but I am a goddess now."
Rainbow Dash shouted, "Do we have to call you Goddess Twilight now?"
Twilight replied, "No, just call me Twily or Twilight. It will be our enemies that must address me as Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle."
Fluttershy said, "D-Dark Goddess?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, Fluttershy. Dark Goddess. Don't worry though, all of you are like family to me. Even a dark goddess does not harm her family."
Pinkie shouted, "But you sent a hurricane after your parents."
Twilight said, "Well, ok. A dark goddess does not harm family of her's who is loyal to her."
LaurFa asked, "So Twilight, what are the exact details of your plan anyway?"
Twilight replied, "The exact details of my plan go like this. I plan on having us first head east to the Equine Empire. I believe the capitol city of Maredrid will be the city we need to take. That way we can take control of their whole army. I will need a steward or two to watch over each empire for me. After the Equine Empire, I am thinking we should head east to Saddle Arabia. That country will be hard to take. While an entirely different type of pony lives there, they are known as horses, they have no magical powers. They will not be easy to defeat. They all wear crowns that can fire energy at their enemies, but don't worry, I have us covered there. After we take Ridead, we will head east to Singapony and Marelaysia, which shouldn't be too difficult. Then we head south to Neigh Zealand, which will be easy. There are more sheep there than there are ponies and they have a unicorn population of zero. The toughest part of this conquest will be the final one, Alicorn Island. That is where the royal family lives and it is also where my backstabbing parents went."
Thunder Rage asked, "Twilight, are you wanting to save Alicorn Island for last because you want to rub Celestia's face in your final triumph?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I am. She whined when I took Canterlot from her, she whined when she couldn't take Canterlot back and she whined when I took the relic and the libraries from Faustica. This will be the ultimate conquest. I am thinking, once we take Faustica, should I bring Celestia home with me and throw her into the dungeon or shall I banish her and Galaxia into the void?"
Applejack said, "Don't y'all think you better conquer everything else before you start thinking about what you want to do with Celestia. After all, y'all don't want your mind distracted while we're fighting these other battles."
Twilight smiled and replied, "You're right Applejack, as usual. A leader can sometimes get ahead of herself but you're the one here to keep me thinking about one thing at a time."
Starswirl asked, "Twilight, what will I be doing?"
Twilight replied, "You will be going with us to fight. I am thinking of perhaps making you the steward of the Equine Empire. While they have very few unicorns there, the ones they do have will be easy for you to handle. Don't worry, I have loyalty spells to handle our conquered enemies so you won't have to worry about the army turning on you."
Shining Armor asked, "Will you be duplicating any of our army to leave with these stewards? I think it would be a very smart idea."
Twilight replied, "Of course I am! You really think I am going to leave a steward of one of my empires there with only earth pony armies? They will each receive plenty of dark Alicorns and changelings to crush any rebellions. Those will not be tolerated just like they are not tolerated here."
Rainbow Dash said, "Twilight, I know you are all powerful now, but why don't you just use an incredibly powerful loyalty spell on the entire world so we don't have to go out and do this?"
Twilight replied, "I wish it were that simple. I can cause a whole army to be loyal to me but to cast a spell so powerful it could affect every living thing in the world would be a tough one. You know, it just might work, well everywhere except for Alicorn Island. To get an Alicorn loyal to you, you have to be right there in front of them to cast the spell. They have to see the whites, or in my case, the greens of my eyes. It is worth a shot, but this will require so much energy that it will make that hurricane spell look like nothing."
Starswirl asked, "Twilight, is there any way you could use that eye to send the proper energy to get them to be loyal to you?"
Twilight replied, "I wish. It is only for seeing. I think that simply going places and conquering them will be the easiest. Given that I know armor spells, duplication spells, invisibility/visibility spells and all sorts of other spells, we don't have to worry about losing a single life on this mission. All we have to do is pound them into submission, have me cast the loyalty spell on them and we can move on to our next target."
Rainbow Dash asked, "Twilight, isn't that kind of cheating? You make us immune to everything but don't mind killing them?"
Twilight replied, "Hey, a pony has to do what a pony has to do. I know these spells, I may as well use them."
Shining Armor asked, "Twilight, when do you want us to start the training exercises for this?"
Twilight replied, "Tomorrow. Let's rest the rest of the day. It is getting close to lunch time anyway. Let's eat."
Twilight, her usual company along with her friends and new recruits headed to the dining hall for lunch. They all knew that once this started, that Twilight would probably kill anypony who tries to get out of fighting. Colgate was especially sad knowing that her office would be closed for the foreseeable future. She figured it would be worth it though because once Twilight is done, she wouldn't have to put up with this anymore.
Twilight and her forces had been preparing for one month. Twilight calls another meeting at the base of her tower to give them some big news regarding their plans. Twilight walked out onto her balcony with a huge smile on her face.
Twilight said to her forces, "Alright everypony, we have all been doing a great job preparing for this. I want us to have a couple of days rest before we head out to the east coast of Equestria. Once we reach there, we will rest for a night and then after we eat breakfast we will head east across the Alicorn Ocean towards the Equine Empire."
Colgate asked, "Twilight, won't it be an awful long, tiring flight out across that ocean? Don't you think maybe we should sail across the ocean instead?"
Twilight replied, "Colgate, the Alicorn Ocean is much smaller than the Pegasus Ocean. The distance from our coast to the west coast of the Equine Empire is the same distance as it is from Equestria to Alicorn Island, which makes it a perfectly flyable distance."
Fluttershy asked, "Twilight, are there any relics you will want to take with us once we conquer these territories?"
Twilight replied, "No. Once we conquer these territories they will be ours. If there is anything I want brought back to Ponyville I will do it after we conquer the world. I have read many books about past conquests and the armies that took things from places they already took as their own with them to the next battle always wind up losing somewhere along the way."
Fluttershy said, "Really Twilight?"
Twilight replied, "Yes. If anypony would bother to actually study things in all disciplines they would know this. You know what I am talking about, right Shining Armor?"
Shining Armor said, "Yes, I do. I think we should rest before we head out in a couple of days."
Twilight replied, "I agree. Meeting adjourned."
Twilight headed to the throne room very ready for this battle. She was so ready that if it were to take place that day she would have been ready for it.
Two days later after breakfast Twilight and her forces were ready to go when Shining Armor realized one thing.
"Twilight, don't you think you better cast the duplication spell so we will have forces here to protect Equestria?" asked Shining Armor
Twilight replied, "Yes, we better. Thanks for reminding me. I completely forgot that."
Twilight ordered all of her forces to gather together so she could not just double the size of her forces, but quadruple them. She wanted to leave a normal sized army in Ponyville and take forces three times the size of what she had with her.
Twilight's forces gathered together as she recited, -"From one to two, two to four and so much more, when one is simple mere, more and more shall appear."
Twilight ordered her troops to stay in place while she cast it again. Suddenly she had over 20,000 dark Alicorns and over 40,000 changelings.
Twilight said, "Ok, I need 5,000 dark unicorns and 10,000 changelings to stay here and watch over things. Shining Armor, because you are the second in command and first in line to the throne, you need to stay here in the event I am killed in battle."
Shining Armor said, "Ok, I can do that. Personally I think I should be going as well because of my immense military knowledge."
Twilight replied, "Ok, you're right. Colgate, I need you to stay here and keep an eye on things and watch over our forces. That way you can keep seeing patients as well."
Colgate said, "Really?! Thank you Twilight, Thank you! I will keep an eye on everything and I won't let you down!"
Twilight added, "Oh, and I think it would be best if you moved into the tower during my absence. You can sleep in my bedroom. That way you can go out on the balcony and look out over town and look off to the south to check on the base. Besides, I think you will like how comfy my bed is."
Colgate flew up to the balcony and hugged Twilight thanking her over and over. Never before had Colgate been so happy.
Twilight said, "Colgate, if something were to happen to my brother and myself, you would become Queen of Equestria. I don't think anything will happen but you know what you are doing and I know you would make for a great leader."
Lyra asked, "Why does Colgate get to watch over things while the rest of us are off conquering the world? What makes her so special?"
Twilight replied, "Not only has she written her own magic she has proven herself to be a good commander, which probably means she would be a good leader as well."
Lyra knew better than to question Twilight's decisions. She figured that if she just went along with what Twilight wants, that perhaps she would let her be part of the forces that return to Ponyville than making her take a position in a foreign land.
Twilight shouted, "Ok, the time has come. Everypony that is going, follow me. We need to fly to the east coast. I want to get there by the middle of the afternoon so we can rest before heading out tomorrow morning."
Twilight took off to the east. Her friends, other recruits, 15,000 dark Alicorns and 30,000 changelings followed her. It was a sunny day with light westerly winds that pushed them along the way, making the trip a bit shorter. Finally around 2:30 they arrived in the coastal city of Cape Stalleratus. There was plenty to eat there and there were good sleeping quarters.
Once they arrived there Twilight called a meeting. "Alright everypony, we have flown a great distance and tomorrow we will make a much longer flight. There is a small island about 10 miles to the west of the city we want to attack that we will be landing on. There we will be able to rest and regroup after a long day of flight."
Applejack asked, "So what will we all be doing besides resting once we get there?"
Twilight replied, "We will be eating, naturally. There are a lot of those small apples that grow along Equestria's west coast that grow there. There are also plentiful fresh water lakes a couple of miles inland. This will be the perfect place to launch our attack."
Rainbow Dash asked, "Twilight, where do they keep their military? Don't we need to know that?"
Twilight replied, "I already know where they keep their military. They keep them in the capitol city of Maredrid. Before you go asking how I know that I have used the eye to check out all our enemies and oddly enough, every empire on the planet keeps their military in their capitol cities. Therefore, that is where we will launch our attacks. We can pound them into submission, I will cast the loyalty spell on all of them and then we don't have to worry about anything."
Dark Night said, "Twilight, I thought you were going to use duplication spells and leave some of us with whoever you decide will be a steward for that country?"
Twilight replied, "I am going to. I just figure that if we have very few if any showing dissent, that will make our lives much easier and it will make the lives of the steward and their military much easier. After all, who wants to go around crushing rebellions all the time? I sure wouldn't and I wouldn't think anypony else would either."
Lemon Hearts asked, "Twilight, so those who you give stewardship to, will they have total power over that country or will they still answer to you?"
This question irritated Twilight greatly. She shouted, "WHY WOULD I BE DOING THIS IF I WEREN'T THE HEAD PONY IN CHARGE? TELL ME THAT LEMON HEARTS, WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT IF I WOULDN'T BE THE SUPREME RULER?"
Lemon Hearts shied back and said, "I'm sorry Twilight, I was just wondering."
Twilight replied, "I take it you want stewardship somewhere?"
Lemon Hearts said, "I think it would be really nice since I am helping you with this."
Lyra asked, "Why didn't you bring Colgate and give her stewardship somewhere since you think she is this super commander?"
Twilight replied, "I didn't because Ponyville needs a dentist and she is the only dentist most everypony trusts. Alright everypony, let's get some food and let's get some rest. We need to get up early tomorrow. I want us to have an early breakfast and head out to that island early."
Everypony got a decent amount of sleep that night and was ready to get going after breakfast the following morning. Twilight shouted at her forces "Let's get going. I want to get to that island before nightfall."
Twilight and her forces flew all day as there were no islands to land on for lunch. Finally they reach the island that Twilight discussed to her forces before leaving Ponyville. It was exactly as Twilight had described it. It had fresh water lakes a mile or two inland and it was covered by apple bushes. This brought a smile to everypony's face.
Applejack said, "Twilight, these are just like those bushes we relocated from the west coast to my apple farm! These things are mighty tasty!"
Twilight replied, "Yes, they are. Everypony, I need you to come over to the beach, I have to show you something."
Thunder Rage said, "Twilight, what do you have to show us?"
Twilight replied, "Ok, you see that faint dot there on the horizon? That is Maredrid. That is where the entire army of the Equine Empire is located, along with their king and queen."
Pinkie asked, "What are plans for their king and queen?"
Twilight replied, "Well, they are earth ponies so dealing with them will be very easy. All I will need to do is cast a high power loyalty spell on them and they will be in service not just to me, but to the steward here. Their earth pony army will return to civilian life while our forces will take over."
Fluttershy asked, "You have this really planned out, don't you?"
Twilight replied, "Yes Fluttershy, I do. I watched everything with my green eye and had everything planned out before we left Ponyville."
Darkness descended upon the island and everypony tried to get some sleep. Twilight was thinking to herself, "Tomorrow it begins. First the Equine Empire, then the world!"
The sun woke up Twilight early that morning and she screamed to get her troops up. She wanted to get the city taken early so she could start her plans for the next land, which would be much more difficult.
Dark Night asked, "Twilight, how long do you think it will take for us to take this land?"
Twilight replied, "Well given that their entire army is located there in Maredrid and that their whole army consists of earth ponies, we should be able to take this very quickly. This could very easily become the quickest conquest in the history of ponykind."
Thunder Rage flies over and says, "Wow, you think we can do it that quickly?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I do. Now let's get some breakfast. I'm hungry and I want to get this taken care of."
Twilight and her forces feasted on the apples on the island, knowing that a full stomach will aid them greatly in their mission. After breakfast Twilight addresses her forces.
"Alright everypony, the time has come for us to start taking what is rightfully ours. You are soldiers of mine, what is rightfully mine is also rightfully yours as well." said Twilight
Lemon Hearts asked, "Twilight, why do you think that the whole world is rightfully yours?"
Starswirl interrupted, "Lemon Hearts, she summoned a storm of epic proportions. You see those eyes of hers? She used only the type of power that a goddess has, and a goddess has the rights to the entire planet and that is what this is about."
Twilight added, "Thank you Starswirl. Lemon Hearts, I know you are hoping that I will give you a position of stewardship, but your constant questioning of my authority is not sitting well with me. Prove that you are loyal to me and do not question me and I will consider it. If you continue to question me, I would give one of my lieutenants stewardship over you."
Lemon Hearts replied, "Ok Twilight. I am sorry for questioning you. I hope you can forgive me."
Twilight replied, "Just help me in my endeavors and everything will be fine."
Applejack asked, "Twilight, what is the makeup of their army?"
Twilight replied, "Their army consists of earth ponies and earth ponies alone. Their monarchs are earth ponies as well. However, do not go into this battle overly confident. Go in there and use the same brute force you would use against other Alicorns."
Fluttershy said, "Well that is good to know it won't take long, when will we leave to do this?"
Twilight shouted, "We're going now! The time has come! TO WAR! TO VICTORY!"
It was a calm day in the city of Maredrid. Everything was going as it normally would. The markets were open, the king and queen were holding court in their throne room. One of their royal guards went running into tell them something important.
"Your Highnesses, there has been a change in power abroad." said the royal guard
"What happened? Did one of the royal ponies of the world die?" asked King Stalliono
"No, a pony overthrew her teacher." replied the guard
Queen Mareala looked shocked and said, "Are you talking about Equestria? I heard rumors about one of Celestia's former students becoming corrupted but did she actually take over Equestria?"
The guard replied, "Yes. Twilight Sparkle was corrupted by King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis. She ultimately became so powerful through unrestrained studying that not only did she depose of Celestia and Luna, but she banished Sombra, Chrysalis and Cadence to the void. She is now a self-proclaimed Dark Queen."
Queen Mareala looked at her husband and asked, "Will we have to worry about her coming over here and trying to take us over?"
King Stalliono replied, "I doubt it. She is probably too busy putting everypony in chains over there. I am beginning to wonder if we shouldn't launch a counter attack to try and take it back for Celestia and Luna."
The guard replied, "I don't think that would be a good idea. She knows loyalty spells and has brainwashed all of Sombra and Chrysalis's forces, she has turned those dark unicorn soldiers Sombra had into dark Alicorns and she has put up an impenetrable force field around all of Equestria."
King Stalliono said, "Well the best we can do is hope she doesn't plan an attack on us, because if all this is true, she would take us out in ten minutes."
Twilight and her forces were speeding towards Maredrid and it's citizens at a great amount of speed. About a mile outside of the city Twilight and her forces stop.
"Twilight, will we be using any spells during this attack, such as an armor spell or duplication spell?" asked Thunder Rage
Twilight replied, "This city is populated solely by earth ponies and the same goes with their army. We will not have any issues with them. Let's go and do this!"
The king and queen head out to the balcony feeling a bit uneasy knowing how powerful Twilight was but not knowing that she was ready to crush them with an iron hoof.
Queen Mareala looked off to the west and asked, "What is that off to the west. It looks like a huge flock of birds."
King Stalliono looked harder and he saw two evil green eyes staring at him from one of the birds in the flock. This struck terror into him and he suddenly realized that they were under attack.
"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!' shouted Stalliono
"From who?" shouted Mareala
"I don't know, but I do know there are a ton of Alicorns and changelings coming!" shouted Stalliono
Twilight and her forces began to swoop down at the citizens of the city and started firing beams of energy at the ponies causing great damage, severe injuries and some deaths. Before the king and queen could get back into their castle entirely Twilight landed on the balcony right in front of them. Her green eyes put a paralyzing fear into them as she stood there laughing.
"Is that you Twilight Sparkle?" asked Queen Mareala
Twilight replied, "You have a good memory. I remember meeting you as a filly when I was a student of Celestia's."
King Stalliono asked, "Could you please stop your attack? You are killing ponies that have no way of defending themselves and what is it that you want?"
Twilight laughed, "I want the Equine Empire, that is what I want. You go out on your balcony and hand the throne to me and I will call off my forces."
Stalliono slammed his hoof on the ground and asked, "You already have Equestria, why would you want our empire? We will not surrender."
Twilight got an evil grin on her face and her eyes began to glow a deeper shade of green as she said, "Oh well. It's your choice. Keep asking me questions while more of those who will soon be my subjects get killed or you can spare many lives by handing me the throne."
Grudgingly King Stalliono and Queen Mareala decided to abdicate the throne and hand power over to Twilight. They headed out onto the balcony where Twilight shouted at her forces to stop the attack.
"AT EASE SOLDIERS, AT EASE!" shouted Twilight
King Stalliono walked to the edge of the balcony and addressed his former subjects. "My friends, neighbors and fellow equines. I am addressing you to let you know that Mareala and I are abdicating the throne. We are handing all power over to Queen Twilight Sparkle. The Equine Empire will now be a province of Equestria. I am sorry that we have to do this but it is either that or she kills everypony in the empire."
One of their subjects yells, "What? We have to answer to HER now? I will not bow down before that dark queen."
Twilight shouted, "You will wish you had not spoken that way to the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle."
"DARK GODDESS?" shouted Mareala
"Yes, deposed one, dark goddess. I have done things that require so much power only a goddess can do them. Since I did that, I am a goddess now." replied Twilght
Mareala said, "LaurFa is the only goddess i recognize! You are no goddess, you are just a brutal tyrant."
Stalliono saw LaurFa standing on top of one of the towers. He asked, "Wait a minute, what is LaurFa doing with you?"
Twilight replied, "LaurFa is in my service now. She is loyal to me and loyal to me alone. I don't think either of you know how truly powerful I am."
Mareala said, "You tyrant, you'll never get away with this!"
Twilight replied, "That's what they all say!"
The dissident in town shouted, "You're no goddess, you're just an evil pony who thinks she's the greatest thing in the world."
This did not sit well with Twilight. Her eyes began to shine a deeper shade of green, a black bulb formed at the end of her horn as she pointed at that subject. She recited, "You have committed treason and that is not in season, you are a threat to me and I simply can not let that be, I can no longer be annoyed so you shall be cast into the void."
The pony was immediately sucked into a dark vortex and disappeared. Twilight looked down at the terrified crowd with a look of pure rage. She wanted to make sure that they knew she was in power now.
Twilight asked, "Alright deposed ones, where is your army. I need to speak with them."
Mareala replied, "They live in the base at the north end of town. They have probably scattered throughout town during the attack."
Twilight said, "Well those who did will wish they had never set foot outside the base. Nopony attacks me or my forces and gets away with it."
Stalliono asked, "Twilight, why are you so mean? I know you have done something to make your eyes like that but don't you have a little bit of kindness left in you?"
This sent Twilight into a rage. She screamed at them "GET IN THE CENTER OF THAT BALCONY, NOW!"
They were huddled together in the center of the balcony while Twilight began to glow and a black bulb formed at the end of her horn. She recited, "You have committed treason and that is not in season, you are a threat to me and I simply can not let that be, I can no longer be annoyed so you shall be cast into the void."
A black vortex opened up and swallowed the former monarchs in front of their former subjects in horror. One of the ponies in the street shouted, "You do not do that to our royalty. You are nothing!"
Twilight began to fly above the city, purple clouds with purple lightning began to flash everywhere. Her green eyes were clearly visible and she fired a powerful bolt of energy at the dissident, incinerating him. Everypony else realized that they should just accept the fact that Twilight is in power now.
After Twilight took care of that problem she along with her friends and officers headed to the base while the soldiers patrolled the streets. The Equine soldiers saw Twilight and her forces coming and lined up and saluted her.
General Muddy Hooves said, "Queen Twilight Ma'am, what do you desire of us Ma'am?"
This brought a huge smile to Twilight and she said, "I need all of you to get out there into that field, ALL OF YOU."
Thunder Rage asked, "General Muddy Hooves, what percentage of the empire's army is this?"
Muddy Hooves replied, "Like Equestria, we are a land of love and harmony. This is the empire's entire army."
Twilight glared at him and said, "How do I know you aren't lying? You know what happens to liars, dissidents and anypony else who gets on my bad side, don't you?"
Muddy Hooves said, "Uh, well you either die or get banished to the void."
"BRAVO! YOU GET A GOLD STAR!" laughed a sarcastic Twilight
Twilight then forced them over into the open field she wanted them to go to earlier. All ten thousand of them were crammed into the field. Twilight began to glow so brightly she appeared as though she were a purple sun on the ground. Her eyes began to shine like laser beams and her horn began to glow purple.
She then pointed her horn at them and recited, "From another to me, that is where your allegiance will now be, you thought your old commander loved you like pie when all they wanted was for you to die. With me all shall be great, there shall be no hate."
The energy struck them with a great amount of energy. It hit them with so much energy that it knocked them to the ground. They got up and wiped their eyes.
All of the soldiers stood tall and shouted in unison, "ALL HAIL QUEEN TWILIGHT! OUR ONE AND ONLY LEADER!"
This pleased Twilight greatly. She was thinking to herself, "Well this is a start, but we still have a lot more to do! Now I need to get things up and running here."
"AT EASE SOLDIERS!" shouted Twilight
"What do we do now?" asked Muddy Hooves
Twilight replied, "Well since I can't be here constantly, I will be setting up a steward who will answer to me. After all, my home is Ponyville and I have plenty of other places to go and take."
Muddy Hooves asked, "Twilight, I know that you have duplication spells. Why don't you just duplicate yourself so that it will appear as though you are here?"
Twilight replied, "Muddy Hooves, you are a genius! I am going to have to teach this to a pony I know won't misuse it. Shining Armor, what would you think about learning a duplication spell?"
Shining Armor replied, "You bet Twilight! I do have one question. Will the duplicate Twilight try to take everything as her own?"
Twilight replied, "I will need to work on that. Duplicates are exact duplicates. Using a loyalty spell on her will be extremely difficult and require a lot of energy."
Applejack asked, "Twilight, when will it be time for lunch? We're all starvin'."
Twilight replied, "Now is as good of a time as any. Let's eat lunch and then I can work on getting things set up to where everything here will be fine once we leave."
Twilight and her forces feasted on many different types of food that they had never had before. Twilight was thinking to herself, "If only our next target were this easy. Well I'm going to enjoy this meal before it is time to get to work."
After lunch Twilight and the higher ups in her forces along with General Muddy Hooves held a meeting in the throne room. Twilight liked the idea that Muddy Hooves suggested about her duplicating herself, but feared that a duplicate would try to overthrow her, and thought that another way has to be possible.
Twilight addressed her higher ups. "Alright, the Equine Empire has been taken but now we need to set up who will take care of things since I obviously can't be in multiple places at once. Here are the things I will look for in a steward. First and foremost, loyalty is mandatory. You know what happens to those who are disloyal to me."
Dark Night asked, "How will you know if the steward here will be loyal to you?"
Twilight replied, "Well after our conquest is complete and I am back in my tower, I will be able to tap into the eye. For when I am not home, I have started to develop a sixth sense like my brother has. So whoever I give stewardship to, just remember, you will always be monitored, whether it be by my green eye or my sixth sense, so don't try anything to operate separate from my absolute power."
Lyra replied, "Alright Twilight, if you give me stewardship anywhere, I won't."
Muddy Hooves asked, "Twilight, I thought you were going to create duplicates of yourself to watch over everything?"
Twilight replied, "While initially that sounded like a great idea I then remembered that the duplicates are exact duplicates. Any Twilight created from me would be exactly like me. She would have the same ambitions that I do, the same desires that I do, the same knowledge that I have and that would be extremely dangerous. The results of that could be a horrible war that would destroy the entire planet. The worst thing this world could face would be multiple Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkles facing off."
Starswirl asked, "Besides loyalty, what else do you look for in a steward?"
Twilight replied, "Well, I also am looking for a pony who knows advanced magic, in the event they need to increase the size of their forces to crush a rebellion. Speaking of rebellions, a steward has to have the spine to go out and crush any rebellions, even if it requires using deadly force. In other words, I need somepony who will do the same things that I would do yet remain fiercely loyal to me."
Starswirl asked, "Twilight, do you think I have what it takes?"
Twilight replied, "When it comes to magic and loyalty, you bet I do. I really need to know more about how you would handle dissidents, protests and rebellions. Would you be willing to punish those who protest against you, me or our army even if it meant using deadly force?"
Starswirl asked, "What about banishing the dissidents to the void? Wouldn't that work?"
Twilight rolled her eyes and replied, "Yes, it would. But some dissidents, like the one out in the town square, have to be wiped out entirely. A steward needs to think of themselves as an employee of mine. They need to exercise the judgement that I would use and if that means killing those who oppose me, then that is what has to be done."
Even Twilight's dark unicorns and changelings began to wonder if Twilight didn't have too much of a thirst for blood. They knew better than to say anything because she could just kill them and create duplicates from those who do not question her authority or her decisions.
LaurFa raised her hoof and said, "Twilight, I would be more than willing to crush any rebellions and kill anypony that has to be killed for you. If you were to give me stewardship, you could count on me to enforce the laws of Equestria."
Twilight walked over to LaurFa and stared deeply into her eyes. Twilight has developed the ability to sense the eyes of a liar and the eyes of one who is honest, and she could tell that LaurFa was being completely honest.
"LaurFa," said Twilight "I think I have just found the steward I will have living here in Maredrid. It is obvious that you have what it takes and I can tell that you are not lying to me to get into a position of authority. Effective immediately, you are the steward of the Equine province of Equestria."
LaurFa replied, "Thank you Twilight! You can count on me. I will not let you down!"
Twilight said, "I can tell you will LaurFa. You have grown a lot since I rescued you from the void. You have went from being an innocent filly to being a strong, loyal mare."
Starswirl asked, "So what do we do now?"
Twilight replied, "We shall rest for a few days. I will help LaurFa grow into her job and then we will head off to Ridead in Saddle Arabia."
Lyra asked, "What will we do when we get there?"
Twilight planted her hoof in her face and sighed, "What do you think we are going to do when we get there? I'll give you a hint, we aren't going there for a social gathering."
Lyra replied, "Are we going to attack it and take it for our own?"
Twilight replied, "Well duh! What else would we go there for? What is this whole global trip about?"
Lemon Hearts shouted, "Global conquest! I don't know about Lyra, but I'm excited to see you rule the world!"
Twilight smiled and said, "Wow Lemon Hearts, this is a whole new side of you!"
LaurFa asked, "Twilight, so what all do you need to teach me so I can be a good steward?"
Twilight replied, "Well you seem to have the mentality of a tough, strong leader. Don't worry about the economic stuff so much because I am going to place the whole world on the Equestrian bit. Basically I need to make sure you will be tough as nails like me. This has been a long afternoon. Let's go get some supper."
Applejack said, "Ah agree Twilight! It is time for supper."
Twilight and her higher ups headed to the throne room for supper. LaurFa was thrilled knowing that she was going to be steward there. She truly believed that Twilight's way of ruling was the only way as she had no recollection of her time as the Goddess of Faustica.
In Ponyville Colgate was flying up to the black tower when Colonel Lightning Wasp stopped her.
"Commander Colgate, we have a serious problem!" said Lightning Wasp
Colgate replied, "Yes Colonel, what seems to be the problem?"
"I was doing a routine patrol of the area and I saw that there was a huge protest up in Canterlot being led by Prince Blueblood. What are we going to do?" asked Lightning Wasp
Colgate replied, "Well let's round up 300 changelings and 300 dark Alicorns and go take care of this. Canterlot is a short distance away. We should be able to crush this rebellion and get back in time for a late supper."
Colgate and Lightning Wasp flew over to the base to round up the forces that they would need. Colgate decided to take the two colonels with her along with 300 of their own type to go crush this rebellion with her.
Colgate shouted, "LET'S GO. I WILL NOT TOLERATE GARBAGE LIKE THIS."
Colgate and her forces sped off towards the west at a great speed. In Canterlot, Prince Blueblood was rallying the citizens there to take a stand against Twilight.
"We can not allow such things to happen within our kingdom! It is making not just the royalty of Canterlot look bad, but all of Equestria look bad!" shouted Blueblood
"HERE, HERE!" shouted the crowd
Blueblood continued, "Even worse, this self proclaimed dark goddess isn't even of royal blood! She took power through brute force and took advantage of my aunt's generosity!"
A pony in the crowd shouted, "What is that flying from the east?"
Photo Finish shouted, "It's Twilight. We must stand our ground!"
Blueblood said, "It can't be Twilight. Don't you remember that she is off conquering the rest of the world?"
The skies darkened with dark blue clouds and white lightning started flashing around the city as Colgate and her forces invaded the city. This caused massive panic and confusion which wound up causing Blueblood to trip over his own hooves and fall right in front of Colgate.
Colgate said, "Well, well, well, what do we have here? It looks like the little crybaby Blueblood."
Blueblood replied, "Aaahhh! Get away from me! A commoner is getting too close to one of royal blood!"
This did not make Colgate happy. She spit in his face and shouted, "A COMMONER? THAT IS COMMANDER COLGATE TO YOU, PATHETIC ONE."
Colgate saw a huge crowd charging towards her out of the corner of her eye. She flew up above them and fired massive amounts of energy at them, injuring them severely. Blueblood took off the other direction with great haste but it was of no use. Colgate grabbed him using her energy and slammed him up against the palace wall, cracking it.
"Ooooww!" screamed Blueblood "Why did you do that?"
Colgate shouted, "Because you are a whiny, snobby little ass that starts rebellions against those in power. That is why!"
Blueblood could barely move as Colgate had broken one of his legs and she had plenty more in store for him.
Lightning Wasp asked, "Colgate, what do you want to do with him?"
Colgate replied, "Well I don't know what Twilight would think of this, but I plan on killing him. He is a waste of space and is wasting air that some other pony needs."
Lightning Wasp said, "I'm not sure if Twilight would approve of that or not. I know she picked you to watch over things while she was gone but using deadly force might be going a bit too far."
Colgate replied, "Well I do remember Twilight authorizing me to use deadly force if it is necessary. I will just tell her he fired some energy at me."
Lightning Wasp said, "I don't think he knows how to fire energy. Well I don't think he did before she moved the capitol."
Colgate replied, "Well she can think he learned. I hate him more than she does. He's dying today."
Blueblood was listening to all this and said, "You will never get away with this. You're worse than Twilight! At least she lived in Canterlot at one point in her life. You've always been Ponyville scum!"
Colgate had enough of his whining. She began to glow blue and white, her eyes started to glow white and she fired a huge bolt of blue energy from her horn, incinerating Blueblood.
"Wow Colgate!" said Lightning Wasp "How did you learn to do that?"
Colgate replied, "Oh, I have my ways. I wrote my own spell involving root canals so I figured I would just harness enough energy to incinerate a Canterlot snob. Let's get back to Ponyville. Crushing that rebellion has made me hungry."
Once they returned Lightning Wasp asked Colgate a question. "Colgate, do you feel like Twilight has abandoned Equestria to go conquering the whole world?"
"Yes, Lightning Wasp, I do. I seriously wonder how she will manage to rule the whole world, even with stewards that are going to be loyal to her." replied Colgate
Lightning Wasp asked, "Would you ever consider challenging Twilight for control of Equestria?"
Colgate replied, "No. Being a high level commander and being a dentist at the same time is quite the magic trick in itself. Besides, if I could only choose one, I would choose being a dentist."
"Alright Colgate." replied Lightning Wasp "You do what your heart tells you to do."
While Lightning Wasp would not admit it, while he is loyal to Twilight, he is feeling a much greater sense of loyalty towards Colgate. He believes that she actually cares about Equestria while all Twilight cares about is global conquest yet he knows at the same time that Colgate won't do anything that would jeopardize her being a dentist.
Twilight woke up the following morning exhausted. She was tossing and turning all night long while she was having strange dreams involving a power struggle in Equestria. She went over to Shining Armor to tell him about the dreams.
"Shining Armor, how do you interpret dreams?" asked Twilight
"Well little sis, I think they can either be a warning about the future or simply a fear that you have." replied Shining Armor
Twilight said, "Well I had dreams last night about Colgate crushing a rebellion in Canterlot that was led by Prince Blueblood."
Shining Armor replied, "I could actually see that happening. Why would a dream about that have you so distraught?"
Twilight replied, "Well after they took care of things Colonel Lightning Wasp began to question as to whether or not I cared about Equestria anymore. He even went as far to ask Colgate to challenge me for the crown."
Shining Armor asked, "Well in your dream, what did she say?"
Twilight replied, "Probably the same thing she would in real life. She said that she had no desire to become the leader and that she would rather be a dentist."
Shining Armor said, "You could probably offer a billion bits to give up her practice and never practice dentistry again and she would turn you down. Let's get some breakfast, I'm hungry."
Twilight and her brother headed down to the dining hall where they were met by their usual company and Steward LaurFa. LaurFa had a huge smile on her face and looked ready to face the day. Twilight knew she made the right decision.
"Good morning everypony!" said LaurFa "I hope you slept well!"
Twilight replied, "Not really. I had nightmares all night long but judging from what was in them, that is all they were, nightmares."
Starswirl asked, "Anything I can do to help? I am really good at interpreting dreams."
Twilight replied, "No, my brother has already calmed my nerves. After we eat there are some things I need to do before we head off."
LaurFa said, "I look forward to us having one more meeting before you go. I know you will give me all the information and resources I need to make you proud."
Twilight replied, "Yes, I will. We will discuss this in the throne room, after breakfast. No business talk during meals!"
After breakfast they headed to the throne room to discuss some final issues before Twilight and her forces took off for Saddle Arabia.
"LaurFa, before I go I am going to cast a duplication spell on all of my forces. The duplicates will be staying here with you while the originals will be going with me." said Twilight
"Thank you Twilight! I really appreciate that." replied LaurFa
Twilight said, "Well there isn't much you can do with an army of earth ponies. You need an army that can fly and has energy of their own."
Applejack asked, "So Twilight, y'all are sayin' these ponies in Saddle Arabia are different. How are they different?"
Twilight replied, "Do you remember those monarchs that came to Ponyville the second time Trixie was causing problems?"
Applejack said, "Yeah, I remember them. They were built very differently and they didn't have cutie marks."
Twilight said, "Yeah, but those things they wear on their faces have a bead that goes over their forehead. They use those things to fire energy at their foes. I have read books about them and the formal name for them is horses."
Lyra said, "Well I know that with you leading us, we will take them down as well."
Twilight replied, "Now that is the Lyra I knew back at the base, confident and strong. Maybe you are leadership material after all. We shall see what happens."
Twilight and her recruits headed outside so Twilight could take care of duplicating the soldiers. Twilight motioned for all the soldiers, officers included to gather into an open field off to the north of Maredrid. Once they gathered there Twilight was ready.
Dark Night asked, "Twilight, what are we doing?"
Twilight replied, "I need to duplicate all of you. LaurFa needs a lot more than a simple earth pony army."
"Alright Twilight." replied Dark Night
Twilight began to glow a deep shade of purple, her eyes became like laser beams and her horn started to glow purple and black as she recited, "From one to two, two to four and so much more, when one is simple mere, more and more shall appear."
Twilight fired a huge ball of energy at her army. Her army doubled at size much to the delight of LaurFa, who now knew that she could do what Twilight put her in charge of doing, which is keeping law and order.
"Thank you Twilight, thank you!" said LaurFa as she ran over and hugged Twilight
Twilight smiled and said, "You're welcome LaurFa. Anything I can do to help, let me know before we leave."
LaurFa replied, "I think this is good."
Twilight addressed her army and her recruits, "Ok everypony, it is a long flight to Saddle Arabia. We will be resting along the eastern shores of the Maredetteranian Ocean tonight before heading south to Ridead. Before we leave tomorrow morning, I will cast an armor spell upon us. That energy they use is powerful. Alright, let's get going. Time is a wastin'."
It seemed like a very long flight to the northeast coast of the Maredetteranian Ocean but finally around five in the afternoon they arrived at their destination. The place was just as Twilight had read about in books a long time ago. Abundant vegetation, plenty of fresh water and the temperature was just right.
"Alright troops," said Twilight "we will eat our supper and breakfast here and sleep here tonight. Get plenty of rest. Tomorrow will be much tougher than Maredrid was. We will be needing an armor spell to take on their forces."
"How large is their army?" asked Dark Night
Twilight replied, "Well given that all of them have the ability to harness the power in those gems they wear on those things on their faces, they are all potential soldiers. After we crush their monarchs. a massive loyalty spell must be cast, one so powerful it can affect the whole country."
Rainbow Dash asked, "Twilight, do you have that much power you could turn an entire nation into Twilight loyalists?"
Twilight replied, "I know a special spell that will require a ton of power, but it will affect all within their species everywhere in the world. I hope I have enough power for this. I have some advice though, when I cast it, look away. The light will literally be blinding."
"Alright Twilight, we hear ya!" said Applejack
The night went by much too quickly for Twilight's forces but way too slow for Twilight as she was just itching to take over Saddle Arabia. When the following morning arrived Twilight gobbled down her breakfast before the rest of her forces even woke up.
"WAKE UP!" shouted Twilight "Hurry up and eat! I want to have this done before nightfall!"
Her forces weren't happy about being rushed into their meal but hurried and ate their meal before Twilight got too angry.
Twilight addressed her forces. "Gather around me everypony. I need to cast the armor spell."
All of her forces gathered around her. She began to glow purple as she recited, "The one without armor does not stand a chance, so it is what we must enhance, the unarmed one will likely receive death, with armor he shall continue to draw breath, without armor he will be torn to shreds like a rag but with armor victory is in the bag."
Immediately the energy exploded outwards from Twilight and all her forces had very strong armor. With that they sped off towards the south ready to conquer another land for their beloved dark goddess.
In Ridead it was Queen Marad's birthday, an official national holiday. In the town square everypony gathered around the palace balcony to see the royal couple as they came out to address them.
As they came out to a cheering crowd King Stallad said, "Hello everypony! Thank you for coming here to day to celebrate my beautiful wife's birthday!"
The crowd cheered loudly as they both waved their hooves at the crowd.
Queen Marad said, "Wow, I am so happy to see you all here today. It wouldn't be the same without you. Without you, there would be no Saddle Arabia, this would be an empty desert with nothing but sand. I want you all to know that I love each and every one of you with all my heart!"
The crowd cheered loudly but went silent as a dark cloud shrouded the city. Beams of energy began to fly down from the sky, injuring ponies and covering them in ooze. The horses fired their energy back at their foes but it simply bounced off of them and caused damage to buildings and killed a few of their own. This enraged them further, causing them to fire more energy but it only did more and more damage to their own city.
King Stallad shouted, "We're under attack. It has to be Chrysalis and Sombra! Everypony duck for cover!"
Right as the royal couple was getting ready to head inside a much larger foe blocked their entrance back into their palace.
"Well what do we have here? A couple monarchs that are scared of a few changelings and dark Alicorns?" said Twilight arrogantly
"Who are you? You are unlike anypony we have ever seen. You look like a regular pony but you have Sombra's eyes." asked Marad
Twilight replied, "You have seen me before. Not in this form, but you have seen me before."
Queen Marad thought hard and realized that she had seen her in Ponyville and that she was Twilight Sparkle, a student of Princess Celestia's
The queen said, "You're Twilight Sparkle, aren't you? How did you become like this and why did Celestia let you do this?"
Twilight replied, "Well, it's funny really. Celestia transformed me into an Alicorn princess and gave me unrestricted access to the archives. I gained a couple of allies, deposed Celestia and Luna, then cast my evil friends into the void, took complete control of their armies, stole the jade Alicorn from Faustica, crowned myself as a dark goddess and now I'm taking what is rightfully mine, THE WHOLE WORLD!"
"THE WHOLE WORLD?" shouted an angry Marad "WHAT ABOUT LAURFA? SHE WILL DESTROY YOU!"
Twilight began to laugh and replied, "Yes, the whole world. About LaurFa, she is on my side now. She is my steward up in Maredrid now. It won't be long until the whole world bows down to the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle."
"DARK GODDESS?" shouted Stallad
"Yes, Dark Goddess. I will give you two choices, bow down before me or be banished." laughed Twilight
Stallad replied, "I will not bow down before you. You are nothing to me and you will always be nothing to me."
Twilight replied, "Fine, it is your choice. You can go join Sombra, Chrysalis, Cadence and the royal family from Maredrid."
Twilight then pointed her horn at them, she began to glow and a black bulb formed at the end of her horn as she recited, "You have committed treason and that is not in season, you are a threat to me and I simply can not let that be, I can no longer be annoyed so you shall be cast into the void."
They had looks of pure horror on their faces as Twilight fired her energy at them and they were sucked into the dark vortex. Twilight went out to the edge of the balcony and shouted, "AT EASE SOLDIERS!"
The attack stopped as they had covered all of the city's residents in ooze and leveled a huge portion of the city. The residents realized that their monarchs were gone and that they were now under the power of the dark goddess Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight flew up to the top of the castle and shouted, "Bow down before me! I am your Goddess now!"
Twilight decided to take care of the loyalty problem. Her forces saw her begin to glow and looked away. She appeared as though she were a bright purple sun with green eyes as she recited, -"From another to me, that is where the horses' allegiance will now be, you thought your old leaders loved you like pie when all they wanted was for you to die. With me all shall be great, there shall be no hate."
The spell Twilight cast rocked the very earth beneath all of Saddle Arabia. A blinding purple flash engulfed the entire nation before dissipating. All of their citizens, got up and wiped their eyes, and all over the nation shouted, "ALL HAIL GODDESS TWILIGHT SPARKLE, OUR ONE AND ONLY LEADER!"
This brought a huge grin to Twilight's face. She flew down to the balcony and fired a huge beam of energy at them, freeing them from the ooze. They began to cheer wildly at the sight of their new leader. She could only hope they would be just as loyal to the steward she would put in power there as they do her.
Twilight decided that because of Lemon Hearts's enthusiasm in Maredrid, that she would put her in power there. She told Lemon Hearts about this and she was ecstatic. Twilight led her out onto the balcony with her.
She said, "Fellow citizens of Saddle Arabia. I want to thank you for your allegiance. I do need to let you know something. I can not remain here as I have other realms I need to go and check on. This yellow Alicorn to my left is Lemon Hearts. She is the pony I will be placing here as a steward. She will reside here but I will be the top pony in charge and I will be coming here regularly to check on things, so don't worry, I won't be a stranger."
The crowd went wild and chanted Lemon Hearts's name. This brought joy to both ponies. Twilight was thinking to herself, "This is perfect. The realm that covers Singapony, Marelaysia and Neigh Zealand are all one empire, which I will give to Lyra. Then it is off to conquer the final target and then everything will be mine, all mine!"
After bowing before an adoring crowd Twilight, Lemon Hearts and the rest of Twilight's higher ups headed into the throne room to discuss the things to come.
Twilight said, "Alright, Lemon Hearts, before we leave in a couple of days I will cast the duplication spell on my forces so you will have a good sized army. Then next up is the southeastern empire. This will be very easy as it is primarily earth ponies. In Neigh Zealand, where the capitol is, there are more sheep than there are ponies as they are a leading producer of wool."
Lyra asked, "Do you know who you will give stewardship to there yet?"
"No, not yet Lyra." replied Twilight "I'm getting hungry anyway. Enough of this talk, let's go and eat."
Twilight saw everything unfolding exactly as she had planned. Two targets down, two to go. One will likely be a cake walk and the other would be very difficult, but with Luna and Cosmos on her side, the last one won't be as difficult as it would have been without her.
Three days had passed since Twilight took over Saddle Arabia and she decided that the time had come to conquer her next target, which would most likely be the easiest. She addressed her forces.
"Alright everypony, the time has come for us to head out to our next target, Neigh Zealand. Their empire includes Singapony and Marelaysia, which will make this a realtively easy target. The population there is over 99 percent earth ponies while the rest are Pegasus ponies. They have no weapons like the horses here did. We won't need any sort of armor spell for this one, all we need to do is pound them into submission and for me to cast the loyalty spell." said Twilight
Lemon Hearts asked, "Before you go, would you cast a duplication spell on your army so I will have the same forces as LaurFa?"
Twilight replied, "Of course! I'm not going to leave you at any sort of disadvantage."
Shining Armor said, "Twilight, I have heard some talk among the citizens here that there is a great amount of political unrest in Neigh Zealand. There are rumors that their monarchs are on the verge of being ousted and replaced with total, ungoverned chaos."
Twilight replied, "Well we can't let them fall into chaos. I have heard bad things about their king and queen but trust me, once I have taken over and put a good, competent steward in place there, everything will be fine."
Lyra asked, "Will this make Neigh Zealand harder or easier to take?"
Twilight replied, "Great question Lyra. I am thinking that if they are that dissatisfied with their current leaders, that would make any change to be welcomed. We might be able to go in there and simply tell them that we would improve the economy there and not have to cause any damage or take any lives."
Applejack said, "Ah'm hungry. Are we going to eat before we head out?"
Twilight replied, "Yes. We will eat, I will duplicate my forces so Lemon Hearts will have a proper army and then we will head out. I will tell you more after I take care of these things."
Twilight and her forces ate a tasty breakfast that morning that was completely new to many of those in her service. They were even new to her. After breakfast she ordered her whole army into an open field about a mile east of Ridead.
Twilight began to glow and a black bulb formed at the end of her horn as she recited "From one to two, two to four and so much more, when one is simple mere, more and more shall appear."
Twilight's forces doubled and Lemon Hearts was ecstatic. She ran up to Twilight and said, "Thank you Twilight! If there is anything I can do to help you, let me know!"
Twilight replied, "Just keep law and order here. Enforce the laws of Equestria and make sure that everypony is loyal to you and especially loyal to me. I would like it if you would make my birthday a national holiday as well."
Lemon Hearts said, "Consider it done Twilight! Your birthday is October 10 if I remember correctly."
Twilight replied, "You have a great memory! Oh great, I forgot to tell LaurFa to make my birthday a national holiday. Well I can take care of that later. We really need to get going, I want to reach Palomino Island before nightfall."
Fluttershy asked, "Where is Palomino Island?"
Twilight replied, "Palomino is an uninhabited island around 20 miles west of the main island of Neigh Zealand. That will be a great place for us to fill up and get plenty of rest. Let's go. You make me proud Lemon Hearts!"
Lemon Hearts replied, "I will Twilight! I know you will take everything very soon!"
Twilight nodded and motioned for all her forces to head off to the southeast. It was a long and tiring flight as there were no islands to land on and stop for lunch. Finally around six in the evening Twilight and her forces landed on Palomino Island. Everypony was exhausted. Even Twilight was winded from this journey as they were flying against the wind the whole time.
Twilight addressed her forces. "Wow everypony, I never imagined that the journey here would be so difficult nor did I expect that we would have chilly winds blowing up from the Antarctic. This island has plenty of dense forest which has fresh water lakes, plenty of food and adequate shelter from the strong winds. Let's head on in, fill up and relax."
Dark Night asked, "Twilight, I have never seen you exhausted like this before. Are you ok?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, I'm ok. Tomorrow's journey will be short and given all the dissatisfaction with the king and queen there, we should have everything taken care of by noon."
Captain Frigid Wind asked, "Twilight, once we take this, how long do you think we will rest before we head north for our final objective?"
Twilight replied, "Well I think once we get this taken care of, we should wait a week. Alicorn Island will be a tough target to take and we need plenty of rest."
Frigid Wind asked, "What about the armor spell? Wouldn't that make us immune to everything they throw at us and it would be just as easy to take as the library and the jade Alicorn was?"
Thunder Rage added, "Besides Twilight, we have Luna and Cosmos on our side. I am thinking instead of this being the toughest mission of our lives, that it will be icing on the cake."
Twilight replied, "Actually, you are right but I can't let all our forces know this. We need to go in there with a fierce, brutal mentality. Let's eat and get some rest, I want to be ready for this tomorrow."
The night passed slowly for Twilight, as every other night has since they have headed out on their conquest. Twilight was thinking to herself, "I will be so glad when all this is over and I can be back in my tower and comfy bed in Ponyville!"
Twilight woke up early the following morning as did the rest of her forces and had an early breakfast. After breakfast Twilight addressed her forces.
"Alright troops, today we will fly into Prancington and hopefully they will have all their anger directed at their monarchs and welcome us in there with open hooves." said Twilight
Dark Night asked, "So where are a majority of their troops stationed?"
Shining Armor replied, "Every single one of them is in the capitol. Once we take the city all Twilight will need to do is cast a loyalty spell like she did in Saddle Arabia and in the Equine Empire and it will be all ours."
"yay!" whispered Fluttershy loudly
Twilight shouted, "Alright troops, let's get going! Let's do this!"
Twilight and her forces sped off to the east towards Prancington with a great amount of speed. Twilight had no worries for the first time in a while but deep down she was wishing that she had just stuck to Equestria.
In Prancington there were massive protests outside of the royal palace demanding equal treatment of all ponies, regardless of what kind of job they hold. The king and queen had always treated the wool farmers as second class citizens even though they are the ones who keep the nation's economy afloat.
One protester shouted, "We demand equal rights for all ponies! The bankers should not get all the rights!"
King Red Mane and Queen Purple Curls headed out onto their balcony to try to calm the crowd down. As they headed out the crowd began to boo loudly and started yelling at them to step down.
King Red Mane shouted, "Oh and if we step down, what are you going to do? None of you know anything about governing anything!"
The mayor of Prancington, Time Keeper, shouted, "I know how to govern. Yes it is only a city but I do know that equal rights are the most important thing in any society. Even in the Equine Empire, the earth ponies are treated the same as Pegasi and unicorns!"
Purple Curls replied, "Well this isn't the Equine Empire now is it? Ugh I wish we were unicorns so we could easily punish you ungrateful brats!"
Time Keeper replied, "Well you aren't unicorns, so get over it!"
A dark cloud blocked out the sun in Prancington. The citizens looked up and saw what appeared to be a huge flock of birds. A large purple figure swooped down and landed on the balcony where the royal family was standing.
The mayor shouted, "It's Twilight Sparkle! We are so glad to see your your Highness!"
Twilight smiled and replied, "I have heard about your problems here. Also, I would prefer if you just call me Twilight or Twily, I like a more laid back atmosphere."
Red Mane shouted, "You wicked dark goddess, what brings you here? Are you trying to engage in a hostile takeover?"
A citizen in the crowd shouted, "She wouldn't need to do a hostile takeover. Twilight, will you be our queen?"
Twilight smiled and said, "Well it is up to all of you. I know you have been wanting these two gone but that is a decision that all of you must make. As she said this Lyra landed beside her."
Time Keeper asked, "Twilight, who is the Alicorn that landed next to you?"
Twilight replied, "This is Lyra. If you do decide to make me your leader instead, she will be the steward here. I have taken control of a great portion of the world, improving the economy and bringing equal rights everywhere I go."
Time Keeper asked the townsponies, "Who do we want as our leaders, the current monarchs or Twilight and Lyra?"
The whole crowd shouted, "Twilight and Lyra!"
Twilight looked at the monarchs and said, "The crowd has spoken. I do believe that for the safety of everypony here, that something must be done with you two."
Red Mane shouted, "You will never get away with this! LaurFa will make sure that your tyranny and global conquest tour is crushed and see that you are banished somewhere forever!"
Twilight started to laugh and said, "Oh how little you know. LaurFa is my steward up in the Equine province of Equestria in Maredrid. The time has come to free these ponies from your tyranny!"
Twilight stood in front of the royal couple and began to glow purple. She lowered her horn at them and recited, "You have committed treason and that is not in season, you are a threat to me and I simply can not let that be, I can no longer be annoyed so you shall be cast into the void."
A powerful beam of energy from Twilight's horn hit the royal couple and they disappeared down the dark vortex into the void. When the crowd saw this they cheered wildly. They began to chant the names of both Twilight and Lyra. Twilight stood up there blushing waving at the crowd.
Lyra shouted, "Do not look up, Twilight needs to do something very important to help everypony in the country."
Everypony looked down as Twilight flew up to the highest place on the palace. She began to glow so brightly that she appeared as though she were a second sun in the sky. Her eyes became like green laser beams as she recited, "From another to me, that is where your allegiance will now be, you thought your old commander loved you like pie when all they wanted was for you to die. With me all shall be great, there shall be no hate."
Like in Ridead, the ground beneath the city began to shake and a powerful shock wave spread across the entire empire. As it spread across the empire, it knocked everypony to the ground but as they came to they got up and shouted, "ALL HAIL QUEEN TWILIGHT, OUR ONE AND ONLY LEADER!"
Twilight flew down to the balcony thinking to herself, "Only one more to go and everything is mine! My ultimate dream is coming true!"
Twilight fired a bolt of energy over the crowd that caused roses and carnations to fall down upon them. She shouted, "Thank you everypony, I hope you will love Lyra as much as you love me!"
Lyra addressed the crowd, "Hello everypony, my name is Lyra Heartstrings. I am the pony that Twilight is setting up as the steward here, but I just want you to call me Lyra. Like Twilight, I prefer things more laid back. I want you to know if you have any problems, just come and see me. Even if you just want to come and visit, feel free to. I love to make new friends and I would love to be friends with all of you!"
After they finished addressing the crowd, Twilight, Lyra and her other higher ups headed into the throne room. Lyra hugged Twilight thanking her immensely for giving her the steward position.
Twilight said, "Well Lyra, I think that this was the position for you. The ponies here love you and I know you are the one who will enforce my laws that will bring about equal rights for all."
Shining Armor said, "Wow Twilight, you were right about this being an easy acquisition, but the ponies here must have been so dissatisfied that they would have welcomed any sort of change."
Twilight replied, "Well I don't think they would have welcome Chrysalis or Sombra and probably not Trixie, but anypony else probably so."
Applejack asked, "Speaking of Trixie, what has happened to her Twilight? Do you know where she is?"
Twilight replied, "No, I have no clue where she is but if she causes any problems, the void will never run out of room."
Fluttershy asked, "What if she was to get that Alicorn Amulet again?"
Twilight replied, "Even with that, I am so incredibly powerful now that it would be useless against me. Given you are an Alicorn as well, it wouldn't work on you either."
"Well that is good to hear," replied Fluttershy "I don't want to have to put up with her idiocy anymore if I don't have to."
Shining Armor asked, "Alright Twilight, now we have this. How long will it be before you decide it is time to go and conquer the final target, Alicorn Island?"
Twilight replied, "I want us to rest for one week. Yes this was the easiest conquest but it was the journey here from Ridead that was so tiring. I believe that in a week we will be ready to go."
Rainbow Dash asked, "So are there any islands close to Alicorn Island where we can rest before launching our assault?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, Pinto Island lies around 15 miles to the southeast of Faustica, just beyond eyesight from the former palace of LaurFa. It has fresh water, abundant food and a dense forest for us to rest in."
Shining Armor said, "Twilight, I don't mean to sound like an overly paranoid pony, but what do you think is going on in Ponyville and how do you think Colgate is handling things?"
Twilight replied, "I'm sure Colgate is handling things just fine. If I didn't think she could keep order in Equestria I wouldn't have put her in charge during our absence!"
Shining Armor said, "Well I just wonder about that dream of yours, if it might have some merit to it. I wonder if we might have something to worry about when we get home."
Twilight replied, "We don't have anything to worry about! Colgate doesn't know any of the spells to turn my forces against me and she doesn't know any duplication spells. I'm sure things are just fine!"
Shining Armor asked, "What about the archives? Does she have access to the archives?"
Twilight replied, "I am the only pony that knows the spells to get into the archives. I'm not worried about her one bit. Enough of this talk. I'm getting hungry. Let's have some lunch."
One week had passed since Twilight took control of Neigh Zealand and she figured that the time had come to head off for one final conquest. Like every other morning, she joined Steward Lyra and the rest of her normal company for breakfast.
"Good morning Twilight, how did you sleep?" asked Lyra
Twilight said, "Oh, I slept alright. I am just ready for today's journey."
Starswirl asked, "Oh yeah, today is the day that we are heading to Palomino Island isn't it?"
Twilight replied, "Yes. After we eat breakfast and I get Lyra her army, we are going to be leaving."
Applejack said, "Wow Twilight, It seems like it was just yesterday that I met you when you first came to Ponyville and now here you are about to become the ruler of the whole world!"
Pinkie added, "You know, we are going to have to throw Twilight the biggest party in the history of everything once she rules everything!"
Twilight blushed and said, "Oh Pinkie, Applejack, you two make this sound like it is the most important thing in the world. Life won't change much for anypony, well things will improve for many across the world."
Lyra said, "Here comes our breakfast everypony, let's eat!"
They had a larger than normal breakfast that morning, the most filling breakfast they had since leaving Ponyville. After they finished eating Twilight took her forces out into an empty field.
"Alright guys, I need you all to stay focused and alert while I do this. After all, Lyra needs good, alert soldiers." said Twilight
Dark Night replied, "Alright Twilight, you can count on us!"
Twilight began to glow purple, her eyes began to shine a darker shade of green and a black bulb of energy formed at the end of her horn as she recited, "From one to two, two to four and so much more, when one is simple mere, more and more shall appear."
The spell hit her forces and the size of her army doubled.
"Alright Lyra, now you have the forces you need to protect your empire and enforce Equestrian law!" said Twilight
Lyra ran up to Twilight, hugged her and said, "Thank you Twilight! Thank you so much!"
Twilight replied, "You're welcome Lyra. You know that as a steward you will get an army regardless but I am happy to see you showing gratitude."
Starswirl asked, "Twilight, if you are going to be ruling the entire world, why do the stewards need huge replicas of your army?"
This question irritated Twilight a bit but she said, "Look, there will probably be rebellions that need to be crushed. I am not worried about the stewards waging war on one another but there will always be internal problems that have to be dealt with."
Twilight motioned to her forces and said, "Well, the time has come for us to complete one final objective. You take care Lyra. Don't worry, I know that you will do fine. The ponies here love you."
"Bye Twilight!" shouted Lyra
Twilight spread her wings and took off, closely followed by her forces. It was a cool day with a stiff southerly breeze pushing them along, which Twilight was very grateful for. They had been flying for five hours when Palomino Island finally came into view. Twilight shouted, "That is Palomino Island to our right. Follow me."
Twilight and her forces headed down towards the island and landed along the coast. They were all very impressed with what they saw.
Applejack said, "Wow Twilight, this island is great. It will be perfect for us to launch our attack from tomorrow."
Fluttershy added, "It has plenty of food for us too so we will have plenty of energy."
Starswirl asked, "Twilight, whose empire does this island belong to?"
Twilight replied, "You know, I don't know if this island is under the rule of anypony, well for now. After tomorrow everything on the face of the planet will belong to the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle."
Applejack said, "Well there is plenty of food on this island and I noticed a good fresh water lake a little ways into the forest. I think we should relax some and get some food in our bellies."
Twilight replied, "I agree. This dense forest will have plenty of food as well and provide cover in the event one of the royals are doing some sort of patrol of the waters around their island."
While Twilight and her forces headed into the forest to take cover and rest it was a calm and peaceful day in Faustica. Celestia and Galaxia were taking an afternoon stroll when they ran into Rarity and Twilight's parents.
Celestia said, "Wow, you three seem inseparable anymore."
Crescent Sparkle replied, "Well Rarity is like a daughter to us. She is what we wish Twilight was like."
Celestia said, "No offense to you Rarity, but you certainly don't mean that do you?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "Yes, we do. Rarity is a refined, sophisticated pony who we feel we can relate with while Twilight has turned out to be an unrefined tyrant who has only one desire, and that is to conquer the whole world."
Celestia asked, "Speaking of her, have any of you heard anything about what she has been up to?"
Crescent replied, "I haven't heard anything. Of course since LaurFa no longer lives here and is basically like putty in Twilight's hooves now, nopony here really hears much of anything."
Galaxia said, "I have this feeling that Twilight has already conquered the Equine Empire and placed somepony as a steward there in Maredrid so she could move on to her next target."
Twilight Velvet asked, "Do you know who she might have put in as her lap dog over there?"
Galaxia replied, "Unfortunately no and I have no clue what her next target would be. Geographically it would make sense for her to attack Saddle Arabia. While they have powerful crystals they can use to defend themselves, I simply don't see them being able to even slow Twilight down, much less stop her."
Rarity interrupted, "Your Highness, do you know why Twilight turned out the way she did?"
Galaxia replied, "Well I think the corruption by Chrysalis had a lot to do with it, but I almost wonder if she didn't have a little bit of desire for this kind of power before then."
Celestia shouted, "Mom, how could you say such a thing about my Twily?"
Galaxia shouted back, "'Your Twily?' Don't you remember she has tried to kill you on multiple occasions and wound up deposing you? Why do you still think so highly of her?"
Celestia started to cry and said, "Because I want to believe that she can be brought back. She was like a daughter to me. I still believe that with the proper magic she can be returned to how she used to be."
Twilight Velvet said, "Don't count on it. Both Twilight and Shining Armor are obsessed with controlling the whole world. Maybe they will get into a fight and Shining Armor will attempt to depose her and then come to his senses and return things to the way they used to be."
Galaxia said, "Don't count on Shining Armor turning on Twilight. She used a lot of power on him when she cast that loyalty spell and besides, he has things way too good being her general of the army and being the heir to the throne."
Rarity asked, "Why would that matter? Alicorns don't die so he will never get to sit on the throne."
Twilight Velvet said, "Well she could die on the battle field. With as aggressive as she has become I know she will attack with full force, not caring if she gets injured or killed."
Celestia started to cry harder, "Twily die? No, no, no! I don't even want to think that!"
Celestia ran off sobbing towards the palace and ran past her sister and father.
Cosmos asked, "Luna, what do you think has her so upset? I haven't seen her like this in ages."
Luna replied, "I don't know dad. She is acting like she did when Twilight turned on her. I just hope she isn't catching on to the fact that we're on Twily's side!"
Cosmos replied, "Shhh...we can't have anypony hearing us talk like that."
Galaxia, Rarity and Twilight's parents went running after her and bumped into Luna. Luna asked, "Why are you four running so fast?"
Galaxia replied, "Oh it is Celestia. I think she is having a nervous breakdown."
Cosmos asked, "Why?"
Galaxia replied, "Oh we were talking about how Shining Armor is first in line to the throne in Equestria and that it would only take the death of Twilight for him to rise to be King."
Luna said, "Oh so no wonder we heard her shout, 'Die, no, not my Twily.'"
Rarity said, "I don't get why she is still so loyal and loving of Twilight. I mean come on, her Twily has tried to kill her twice, deposed her and ran her out of Equestria."
Luna replied, "I don't know either, but let's just hope that Twilight and her forces don't attack us again."
Rarity asked, "She already took the libraries, the jade Alicorn and LaurFa's bed, what more could she want?"
Twilight Velvet replied, "I could see her coming here if she had conquered the rest of the world just to take Alicorn Island as well so she could become the absolute ruler of the entire planet."
Rarity gasped, "You really think she is capable of conquering the entire planet?"
Galaxia replied, "Yes Rarity, I think she is more than capable. She knows the proper magic, she has the power necessary and she has many, many loyal ponies in her service."
Luna asked, "Rarity, how did you manage to not be able to fall victim to her loyalty spell for very long?"
Rarity replied, "Well I am the element of generosity and that is one thing that Twilight could not erase from me. She corrupted the others to use their elements to aid Twilight and her evil ways."
Luna said, "Well I am going to go in and see what is wrong with Celestia."
Luna went into the palace to find Celestia in her bedroom under her blankets entirely sobbing, "No, not my Twily. Her die, never, not my Twily."
Luna shouted, "SNAP OUT OF IT BIG SISTER!"
Celestia crawled out from under her covers sobbing "Luna, somepony was saying that the only reason Shining Armor is loyal to Twilight is because he is first in line to the throne. What if he tries to kill her? What if he tries to kill my Twily?"
Luna's eyes began to shine a bright white and she shouted, "BIG SISTER! DON'T YOU REMEMBER HER TRYING TO KILL YOU TWICE?"
Celestia was still crying when she replied, "Yes, I do but she was like a daughter to me. I loved her more than her own parents did. I want to believe she can be brought back to being good. I don't know why, but I just feel like she is somewhere not too far away."
Luna said, "Hmmm...she could be. I know you can pick up on things like that."
Celestia sobbed, "You don't think she's dead do you and her spirit is her with us? NOOO...MY TWILY!"
Luna shouted, "Trust me big sister, she isn't dead. I can just imagine what a laugh she would get out of seeing you like this."
After hearing this Celestia crawled back under her blanket and sobbed harder and harder while Luna stormed out of the palace.
"She's hopeless, completely hopeless." ranted Luna
Galaxia asked, "What is she hopeless about?"
Luna said, "Twilight. That pony betrayed her, deposed us, tried to kill her twice and mocked her mercilessly. How could she still care about her. If Twilight did that to me, I would have banished her to the sun a very long time ago, before she became ultra powerful."
Galaxia said, "Well Luna you have never grown close to ponies the way Celestia did. That is probably why you never started a school for gifted unicorns either."
Luna replied, "I didn't do that because I use a type of magic that very few have the ability to harness and I think it is best if we keep the number of ponies who can practice my type of magic limited to just dad and myself."
Rarity said, "Well I have a feeling Twilight is part of that crowd now too Luna. Don't be so hard on Celestia, Twilight's betrayal will probably take centuries for her to recover from. Very rarely does a student and teacher form the type of bond they had, which was more like a mother, daughter type relationship."
Twilight Velvet said, "Now I feel bad that I didn't love Twilight as much as I should have. I feel like I basically gave her to Celestia to raise. She did after all pretty much live in the palace with Celestia after she got accepted into her school."
Luna said, "Well we can't change the past. All we can do is move forward. It is getting close to supper time. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to get myself something to eat."
Back on Palomino Island Twilight and her forces were just finishing up supper and getting ready for an evening of rest and relaxation.
Twilight said, "Alright troops, we are on the verge of conquering the world. Let's rest, relax and enjoy one another's company. Tomorrow will be the most important day in our lives."
Thunder Rage added, "Yep, we need to be at our best tomorrow not just for Twilight, but for all of us."
Rainbow Dash said, "Twilight, what are you going to do when you run into Celestia tomorrow?"
Twilight replied, "Probably laugh my flank off. She will break down crying thinking that I can 'still be brought back.' I get a lot of enjoyment out of her actions."
Applejack said, "What about the others?"
Twilight said, "Well Luna and Cosmos are under my control. I put a loyalty spell on them when we took the jade Alicorn so we don't even have to worry about them. Regarding Galaxia, she will be easy to defeat. She operates pretty much the same way Celestia does except she has composure."
Fluttershy asked, "What about Rarity and your parents?"
Twilight replied, "Well my parents seem to think of Rarity as their own daughter now so I will give those three plenty of punishment. I will tear Rarity's wings off of her with my teeth if I have to. I gave her those wings so I can take them away, and I plan on it. My parents, well I have something very special planned for them. My mom basically sold me to Celestia as a young filly."
Dark Cloud asked, "How did she sell you to Celestia?"
Twilight replied, "The minute I passed my entrance exam into Celestia's school mom sent me to live in the palace with her. Celestia wanted me to be close to her and she rewarded my parents with wealth and a place among the Canterlot elite for doing this. Basically it was Celestia who raised me, not mom and dad. The more I think about it, the madder I get."
Thunder Rage said, "Is that why you hate the Canterlot elite so much?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, it is. Mom and dad sold me to Celestia and suddenly they have a huge house, go to all the fancy parties that Fancy Pants, Fleur de Lis and all the other elite snobs hosted."
Pinkie asked, "Why do you hate Celestia so much now? You two seemed to get along so well and be so close."
Twilight replied, "This is something so few really know Pinkie. Yes we looked like we were close, like mother and daughter but I secretly hated her for basically 'buying' me from my parents. All I ever wanted was a normal childhood where I could play out in the streets and courtyards of Canterlot, but with Celestia basically being my mom, it was non-stop studying."
Rainbow Dash asked, "What about your brother? Was he bought by Celestia too?"
Shining Armor replied, "Yes, I was. When I was born I was bigger than most of the colts. Once I reached an age old enough that I could start training, Celestia noticed my size and asked mom and dad if they could take me into training for the royal guard. I remember Celestia coming to our house herself and offered mom and dad financial stability for life if they could take me for training."
"Come to think of it," said Twilight "I remember mom was packing things for me when they came for you. It was the same day I passed my entrance exam. We were basically bought by Celestia as a pair."
Shining Armor remembered this and said, "It was, wasn't it?"
Twilight began to sob and shouted, "MOM AND DAD DIDN'T REALLY WANT US! THEY JUST WANTED THE MONEY THE ROYALS PAID HER AND THE ELITE STATUS! I HATE THEM BIG BROTHER, I TRULY HATE THEM!"
For the first time since he had to leave home Shining Armor started to cry too. "They never truly loved us! If they would have loved us they wouldn't have SOLD US to Celestia!"
While Twilight's friends have seen her cry once or twice before she came to power, they have not seen her cry in agony the way she was that night and nopony had ever seen Shining Armor cry, except for his mom and dad.
This caused General Dark Night to break down and cry, "Twilight, Shining Armor, you two are a true inspiration. I will gladly put my life on the line to defend your honor against the tyranny of your parents and Celestia."
Rainbow Dash was in shock as she had never seen Shining Armor cry. She was in even more shock when their story brought a dark Alicorn to cry. Rainbow Dash soon realized that even hardened soldiers have the ability to feel empathy for others.
Twilight said, "I think we better get some sleep. I know Shining Armor and I need to regain our composure by tomorrow morning. I am really sorry you had to see us like that."
Thunder Rage said, "Twilight, Shining Armor, there is no need to apologize. I don't know how many of you know this, but us changelings and dark Alicorns have feelings too. Given that you two have shown emotion around us I now feel comfortable showing emotions. Around Chrysalis it was a crime for a changeling to even show a bit of emotion."
Dark Night added, "It was the same way with Sombra. You had to be this rough and tough soldier with no emotion. I am sorry that all that happened to you but it is refreshing to have leaders who can show emotions."
Twilight replied, "I'm glad you feel that way but we really need to get some rest. I'm beat and I just need to get some sleep and regain my focus for tomorrow. Good night everypony."
Having all these memories flooding back on them was tough on Twilight and Shining Armor, but it gave them all the more determination to use full force in their final objective. Before falling asleep Twilight thought to herself, "Mom and dad will wish they had put us ahead of wealth and elite status. Before I banish them tomorrow I will bring this up and make sure they know that we feel like they never loved us or cared about us."
The sun woke Twilight and her forces up the following morning. Twilight was unable to get much sleep that night after having all those memories come crashing in on her. She would not let a bit of fatigue stop her though. She planned on going through with the invasion that day.
"Good morning Twilight," said Shining Armor "did you sleep well?"
Twilight replied, "No, I didn't and when I did sleep I just had horrible nightmares about the day that Celestia came and bought us from mom and dad."
Shining Armor said, "You too? I had the same dreams. I sometimes wonder if Luna had not been imprisoned on the moon at that time if she would have done this?"
Twilight replied, "I don't think Luna would have had any say. I do know that if she had a school for gifted unicorns and it was her school I got accepted into, that she would not have had me move into the palace. A lot of ponies are hard on her for not forging close bonds with other ponies, but she would not have tried to raise me as her own child."
Shining Armor said, "I don't know Luna too well but I do know she wouldn't have bought either one of us. She most likely would have waited until I was of age to go to the academy and let it be my choice as to whether I went or not."
Twilight replied, "It is because of the way Luna is that I think she would make a far better steward for Alicorn Island than Celestia. Besides, Luna has never wronged me in any way. I see how her and Cosmos weren't viewed the same way Galaxia and Celestia are and I want to help them. They deserve the same love every other leader deserves."
Shining Armor asked, "What are your plans for Galaxia?"
Twilight replied, "I will probably cast the loyalty spell on her. She has never done anything wrong to me. All my wrath will be saved for Celestia, Rarity and our parents."
Shining Armor asked, "Can I be there to ask mom and dad questions before you banish them to the void or do whatever you plan on doing?"
Twilight smiled and said, "Of course big brother! Of course you can! They sold the both of us like we were nothing more than fancy watches out in the streets of Canterlot! You bet you can be!"
By this time the rest of Twilight's forces were awake and had started to eat. They figured that it would be best to just let Shining Armor and Twilight talk as they knew they needed to vent.
In Faustica Luna and Cosmos were looking off to the southeast wondering when Twilight would finally come to finish her conquest. Luna had a feeling that it would be any day now, she was secretly hoping that it would be sooner rather than later.
Luna asked, "Dad, when do you think they will be coming?"
Cosmos replied, "I don't know. I hope soon. I just wonder what Twilight will do with Galaxia?"
Luna said, "Well given that mom never did anything bad to her, I hope she will just cast her loyalty spell on her. Now what she will do to Celestia, well I don't even want to think what kind of wrath she has planned for her."
Cosmos asked, "Why does Twilight hate Celestia so much now?"
Luna replied, "I was still on the moon when this happened but from what I understand, after Twilight passed her entrance exam into Celestia's school, Celestia wanted Twilight as her personal protege. She offered the Sparkle Family a great amount of money and elite status in exchange for her and Shining Armor. She basically bought them. That is why Twilight has so much hatred towards Celestia and her parents now."
Cosmos asked, "What about Rarity. Why does she want to destroy her?"
Luna replied, "She views Rarity as a traitor, not only for fleeing Equestria, but in aiding Twilight's parents along with a couple of Canterlot elite in escaping Equestria."
Cosmos asked, "What happened with the elites that Rarity took with her?"
Luna replied, "They died in a storm on the way here. Rarity seems to think Twilight cast a powerful hurricane spell, but I'm not going to blame Twilight unless I hear her admit it. Let's go get some breakfast, I'm hungry."
On Palomino Island Twilight was addressing her troops one last time before their invasion.
"Alright everypony, the time has come for us to finish this. What I want us to do is cover them in ooze, which will make them unable to use their magic. There are two ponies that you do not attack. Both of them have midnight blue coats. One has a crescent moon for a cutie mark and one has three bright starts for a cutie mark. Those two are our allies, Princess Luna and King Cosmos. Regarding the pinkish-white Alicorn with a galaxy cutie mark, don't attack her unless she fires on us first. As far as the rest of them, render their magic useless." said Twilight
Dark Night asked, "Twilight, what do we do with your parents and Rarity?"
Twilight replied, "Regarding my parents, let me handle them. I also want to handle Rarity. I gave her those wings and I plan on taking them away from her in a very humiliating way."
Dark Cloud asked, "How do you plan on doing that?"
Twilight replied, "I plan on biting her wings off in front of my parents, since they seem to view her as a daughter now."
Black Mist said, "Wow, she will in the end wish she had never crossed your path! I don't think even Sombra would have done something like that!"
Twilight replied, "I doubt it either. Alright everypony, before we go I need all of you to gather around me. I need to cast an armor spell. This one might throw you back a bit as I am going to use a lot more power this time. We are dealing with a whole island of Alicorns after all."
Twilight's forces gathered around her. She began to glow a bright purple, her eyes began to shine a dark green and a purple and black bulb formed at the end of her horn as she recited, "The one without armor does not stand a chance, so it is what we must enhance, the unarmed one will likely receive death, with armor he shall continue to draw breath, without armor he will be torn to shreds like a rag but with armor victory is in the bag."
Twilight's energy exploded throwing her forces backwards quite a ways but increased their armor significantly, much more than any other armor spell she had ever cast. Twilight was pleased with this as her forces began to cheer wildly and rally behind their leader.
Twilight motioned for them to get ready to take off. "TO WAR, TO VICTORY!" shouted Twilight
"TO WAR, TO VICTORY!" shouted her soldiers.
With that they all sped off to the northwest towards their final objective with great haste. All of Twilight's forces were just as excited as she was to complete this conquest.
Back in Faustica Twilight's parents were standing on the royal balcony with Rarity looking off to the southeast. Twilight Velvet saw what she thought was a huge flock of birds.
Twilight Velvet said, "Is that a giant flock of birds or is it something that I never wanted to see."
Crescent Sparkle looked closer and realized that Twilight had conquered the rest of the world and was coming to take the final prize.
"IT'S TWILIGHT!" shouted Crescent Sparkle.
Cosmos and Luna were on another balcony when they heard this. Luna said, "Get into the throne room. After she finishes this she will probably drag her captives in there."
Celestia was flying around when she heard this and her wings froze causing her to plummet to the ground. She started sobbing loudly when she realized that Twilight was coming for one final assault.
As Twilight and her forces got over the city Twilight shouted to her changelings, "FIRE! COVER THEM IN OOZE!"
The citizens of Faustica would not go down with a fight. They began to fire energy at the changelings but to their dismay their energy simply bounced off the changelings and struck the city's buildings. Celestia saw this and felt like all was lost.
While Twilight's changelings were immobilizing the rest of the city's citizens, a familiar figure landed in front of Celestia, her former student, Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight shook her head and said, "Here you are panicking and resorting to cowardice when your city is under attack. Every time I see you it just keeps getting funnier and funnier."
Celestia looked up and saw how Twilight's eyes had transformed into green orbs with purple irises. She said, "Twilight, what happened to your eyes? Can you see ok?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I can see just fine. I recently used a great amount of energy to create a superstorm that caused my eyes to remain this way."
Celestia said, "Does this mean that you are a goddess now?"
Twilight replied, "Well Dark Goddess to be exact."
Celestia sobbed, "Why did you do this? I treated you like you were my daughter. I basically raised you because your parents no longer wanted you."
Twilight said, "Get into the throne room of LaurFa's old palace. Other higher ups in my military will be waiting for us, along with other prisoners I am taking."
Twilight picked Celestia up with her energy and levitated her up through the storm of ooze beams. Celestia got covered in it, much to Twilight's delight. When she got up to the throne room she discovered that Shining Armor, her friends and General Thunder Rage had her parents and Rarity subdued.
Twilight said, "Keep an eye on them. I will be back."
Twilight flew back outside to find that every single citizen of Faustica was covered in ooze and that her soldiers were starting to destroy other buildings in town.
"AT EASE" shouted Twilight
Her soldiers stopped the attack. Dark Night asked, "Twilight, did we win?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, we won. The whole world is now under the control of the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle
Dark Night said, "Good. Where are your captives?"
Twilight replied, "In the throne room. Come with me, I want you there to watch them suffer as well."
Twilight and Dark Night flew into the throne room to the cheers of Twilight's other forces.
All of her friends, Shining Armor and her officers shouted, "ALL HAIL THE DARK GODDESS TWILIGHT SPARKLE, THE SUPREME AND ABSOLUTE RULER OF THE EARTH!"
Galaxia, Celestia, Twilight's parents and Rarity stood there, covered in ooze, unable to walk or use their magic.
Galaxia shouted, "Where are Luna and Cosmos? How did they get away from your wrath?"
At the dismay of Galaxia and Celestia, Luna and Cosmos walked into the throne room from the dining hall. Luna said, "We are fine mom, we are perfectly fine."
Galaxia saw Twilight get that evil grin and she said, "You traitors! You joined forces with HER! What did she do, offer you stewardship here?"
Twilight said, "They are loyal to me Galaxia. You know if you swear allegiance to me you can be free like them. The three of you would each get a share of stewardship here, along with your own army. What do you say? Are you with us or are you against us?"
Galaxia looked at her daughter and husband and realized that she had no choice. She said, "Your Supreme Highness, I am with you."
Twilight send a gentle beam of energy to Galaxia that melted away the ooze and said, "Glad to hear it Galaxia. I just need you to stand over in that corner for a minute."
Galaxia knew better than to disobey Twilight so she stood in the corner. Twilight began to glow brightly, her eyes began to shine a dark shade of green as she recited, "From another to me, that is where your allegiance will now be, you thought your old commander loved you like pie when all they wanted was for you to die. With me all shall be great, there shall be no hate."
The energy struck Galaxia with a huge amount of energy causing her to fall to her knees. When she got up she wiped her eyes and shouted, "ALL HAIL GODDESS TWILIGHT! I AM IN YOUR SERVICE YOUR MAJESTY!"
This pleased Twilight greatly and she said, "Welcome to the Dark Goddess Twilight's extended family Galaxia. I am pleased to have you in my service."
Twilight finally achieved her objective. She became the sole ruler of the entire world. She now had some loose ends to tie up before she gave the stewards an army and returned to her beloved Ponyville tower and comfy bed. What to do with her parents, Rarity and Celestia.
Twilight had just conquered Alicorn Island, making her the leader of the entire world. She smiled at Luna, Cosmos and the newly loyal Galaxia. She then looked over at her prisoners and shook her head.
"You four have betrayed me in various ways. Some of you in a moderate way and some of you have betrayed not just me, but Shining Armor in unimaginably horrible ways. I'm sure all of you know which group you fall into." said Twilight
Rarity snapped, "You will never get away with this Your Evil Highness. Never."
Twilight laughed, "Oh and who is going to stop me. I rule this entire planet now. I am the most powerful being in the entire universe."
Rarity asked, "What happened to the loving Twilight Sparkle I first met? What happened to the Twilight that would do anything for anypony? What caused you to change?"
Twilight replied, "Things change Rarity. You aren't the one to talk. Look at all the petty fashion crap you are into. I have seen how you treat some who don't meet your fashion standards. I remember when you decided to move my birthday party to Canterlot just so you could go hang out with your hoity toity friends."
Rarity replied, "Well, I did want to be around refined ponies some too, not just you unrefined barbarians!"
"Unrefined barbarians Rarity?" shouted Applejack "Now I know the real you. I hope Twilight punishes you and makes you suffer."
Rainbow Dash added, "So much for being the element of generosity, more like the element of snobbery."
Twilight said, "Do you know what you just said made ALL OF US feel bad. When Fluttershy took her assertiveness training too far and insulted you over your petty concerns over fashion you didn't like that now did you?"
Fluttershy glared at Rarity and said, "I seriously felt bad afterwards and apologized when you and Pinkie helped me see I went from being assertive to being mean. It is one thing to say something you don't really mean but it is another to relocate an entire birthday party just so you can hang around the Canterlot elite."
Pinkie added, "Yeah, and you know Twilight loves Ponyville! Even worse you lied about Opal being sick!"
Applejack concluded, "Y'all know Rarity, I don't know how you managed to be friends with the rest of us, but now we know that y'all ain't our friend, you are a backstabber."
Twilight said, "Thanks ladies, you all mean the world to me. As for you Rarity, I have plans for you."
Rarity shouted, "Oh and what is that you wretch, take my wings away? Fine, I don't want them. I don't want anything you gave me."
Twilight replied, "Fine Rarity. You said it, not me." Twilight then walked over and ripped Rarity's wings out with her teeth.
"OUCH! OUCH!" shouted Rarity as Twilight bit her wings off, leaving just stumps.
"Twilight, I did not mean for you to take them away like that! I thought you would use some sort of spell to remove them." said Rarity
Twilight replied, "If you weren't a mouthy spoiled little brat, I would have. But I figured you reap what you sew and you sewed yourself a painful wing removal."
Twilight Velvet shouted, "Twilight, you beast! How could you do something so barbaric and bloody?"
Twilight replied, "It's not your turn yet mom. So just keep your trap shut."
Rarity asked, "Will I not know the magic I did when I had my wings?"
Twilight replied, "Wow, we have a real prize pupil here! Well duh, you aren't going to have Alicorn magic anymore."
Rarity asked, "So are there any other punishments you have for me?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, I do but that will be announced at the end of this hearing when I punish everypony else."
Rarity shouted, "Why don't you just call it a kangaroo court since you will find us all guilty no matter what."
Twilight went over and smacked Rarity for that statement. "You do not sass me Rarity. Remember, I control your destiny now."
Twilight next approached her parents. They had a look of pure fear in their faces as Twilight stared at them with those green eyes.
Crescent Sparkle asked, "First off, what happened to your eyes and second, why are you doing this to us. We are your parents, we raised you, we love you."
Twilight slammed her hoof into the ground and said, "Regarding my eyes, that can wait for later. As for why I am doing this, you not only didn't raise us, you SOLD US to Celestia at a very young age."
Twilight Velvet shouted, "We did not sell you two."
Shining Armor walked over to them and said, "Both of us remember that day all too well. I remember it was the day that Twilight passed her entrance exam and Celestia wanted her to be her personal protege at the school. I remember she came over when mom was packing Twilight's things. Celestia herself promised you two economic prosperity if she could have Twilight living at the palace with her and have me get sent to the academy two years before I should have been."
Twilight added, "Do you know how that made us feel? I was basically raised by Celestia and Shining Armor was raised by the academy. We feel like you put money and a spot among the Canterlot elite ahead of us, YOUR OWN CHILDREN."
Crescent Sparkle said, "We did all that for you. We wanted a better life for you. We knew that if we didn't do what we did that you two would wind up in dead end jobs and probably wind up in horrible marriages and never have much money of your own."
Shining Armor replied, "Well, then why was it that immediately after they came and took us away at such an early age that you and mom went from being among Canterlot's poorer citizens to being among it's wealthiest. Oh, that's right, because your kids were part of the royal system, that's why!"
Twilight added, "Yeah, you go from living in a small, modest house in the 'slums' of Canterlot to the wealthiest area, right in the vicinity of the palace. You could have at least came by and visited us living so close."
Twilight Velvet said, "Now you shut your mouth you ungrateful little brat. We did all that for you and look how things have turned out, they have turned out even better than even we could have imagined."
Shining Armor said, "Twilight is not an ungrateful brat. Besides, you should be careful what you say from now on. She decides what your destiny is, not me, not Luna, not Dark Night or Thunder Rage, her."
Twilight started to cry as she said, "Mom, this has nothing to do with us being dissatisfied with where we wound up in life. All we ever wanted was to be loved. We wanted our parents to raise us, not the royal system. All we wanted was your true, unconditional love, nothing more. We just wanted you to be there for us."
This stunned Crescent and Twilight Velvet. They had not seen the wrathful Twilight cry before.
Twilight continued, "Remember in Ponyville when you told Shining Armor and I that you didn't want any hugs from us because of the way we had turned out, back when you came to me to ask me to deactivate the jade Alicorn?"
Twilight Velvet said, "Well yeah, and we would still do the same thing because we don't think you should have went and taken what was not rightfully yours. It wasn't too long after you became a princess that you became a power hungry pony who first declared herself as a dark queen and now a dark goddess. That is what has us so upset."
Crescent added, "Ok, maybe it wasn't the best thing for us to have accepted the financial benefits Celestia offered us for you two. I understand now why you think we sold you. What if we had not accepted the benefits and still been living on the poor side of town. Would you think any differently?"
Shining Armor replied, "Well I would look at it differently but I would still feel like you didn't love us or want to raise us on your own."
Twilight replied, "Same here. I was upset that you made me leave home so early. I wouldn't have been as upset if you would not have been rewarded financially for us but still, you made us leave at such an early age. Just put yourselves in our situation at that age. Wouldn't you have felt unloved?"
Twilight Velvet began to cry and realized that her children were right. She started to cry and said, "Twilight, Shining Armor, now I know that what we did was wrong. I just hope you have it in your hearts to forgive us."
Crescent added, "I feel horrible now. I know I was never there for either one of you. I admit, the financial compensation had everything to do with it."
This angered Twilight. She said, "Yep, we were right big brother. Remember when we were being led away from home towards the palace. I remember you saying that they sent us away for the money. For so long I didn't want to believe it, but now I have literally heard it straight from the horse's mouth. After decades, you two finally admit the horrible truth."
Twilight Velvet said, "Well at least you became ruler of the world!"
Twilight glared at her and said, "Yes, I did. But nothing can replace the feeling of a child feeling unloved by their parents, regardless of what their age is. It is those parents who always have to watch out, especially if their kids raise to a position of power, and in your case, they did, and one rose to hold the entire planet in her hooves, which means that I control your destiny."
Luna asked, "Twilight, what kind of punishment do you have planned for them?"
Twilight replied, "Let me think about it. I think they need to be present while I punish the buyer."
Twilight Velvet said, "The buyer?"
Twilight glared at Celestia and said, "Yes, the buyer."
Twilight walked over to Celestia and gave her a look that could kill. Twilight said, "Celestia, you are the ultimate villain here. You offered a not so well off family financial freedom for life and a spot among the Canterlot elite in exchange for their two children. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Celestia began to sob and said, "Twilight, I saw your family was hurting. I saw how much potential that both you and your brother had. I just wanted to make the lives of all of you better."
Twilight replied, "You could have let us live at home instead of taking us away from our family. It is bad enough that you took us but to offer financial gain to our parents to make sure you got your way is sickening. Don't you see anything wrong in what you did?"
Celestia cried harder and harder as she said, "I just wanted you close to me. I wanted you to become powerful like me and it was through the focused study I gave you that allowed you to become what you did. That could not have happened if you were not with me constantly."
Shining Armor asked, "Why was it so important for you to take me away from home as well?"
Celestia cried, "You had more magical talent than colts twice your age and I believed that through structured study and military exercises, that you could become a great captain of the royal guard."
Twilight said, "Big brother, could you come over with me to the other side of the room, I think we need to discuss their sentences."
Twilight and Shining Armor headed to the opposite side of the room to discuss things.
Shining Armor said, "I personally think that Celestia committed the worst crimes of them all. Yes what our parents did was horrible, but Celestia knew of the perfect way to entice them to agree, with money. I believe that she needs to be banished somewhere."
Twilight said, "I agree. I am thinking that I am going to let Luna have revenge for her banishment. I am going to approach her about banishing Celestia to the sun for a thousand years."
Shining Armor asked, "What about our parents and Rarity?"
Twilight replied, "I believe it would be best if we put them in the dungeon. Keeping a close eye on them is necessary. Besides, the fact that all three of them hate the fact that I have that tower and that dungeon makes it all the more fitting, especially with Rarity."
Twilight and Shining Armor headed back to where the prisoners were and decided it was time to read the punishments.
Twilight said, "The unicorn Rarity, for the crime of treason along with helping four dissidents leave Equestria, shall receive 30 years in the dungeon in my dark tower, where she will enjoy the same 'swill' that she enjoyed during her thirty day sentence."
Rarity shouted, "WHAT, YOU MONSTER!"
Twilight said, "Make that 35."
Shining Armor asked, "Who's next?"
Twilight said, "The unicorns, Twilight Velvet and Crescent Sparkle for selling their children to the monarchy for financial gain shall each receive 35 years in the dungeon of my dark tower, where they will not only get to enjoy my 'mess hall swill' but enjoy hearing Rarity's whining."
Shining Armor walked over to Luna and said, "Twilight has a very important question for you."
Luna said, "What is it?"
Celestia saw Twilight walking over to Luna and quickly realized what was running through her mind. She knew that Twilight had become close with Luna since the raid for the jade Alicorn.
Twilight asked, "Luna, what would you think about getting even with your sister?"
Luna asked, "What do you have in mind?"
Twilight asked, "What would you think of banishing Celestia to the sun for a thousand years."
Luna's ears perked up and she got a big smile on her face. She said, "Sure!"
Twilight nodded her head and then walked over to Celestia and said, "And the Alicorn Princess Celestia, for enticing a not so well off family with financial freedom in exchange for their children, shall receive a one thousand year banishment on the sun. Luna, let's go outside so you can do the honors."
Celestia shouted, "What? Luna, are you in with her on this sentence?"
Luna replied, "This was all Twilight's idea and she has come to sympathize with what you did to me and figured that paybacks are hell and revenge is sweet!"
Dark Night and Thunder Rage led Celestia outside into the courtyard, followed by Twilight and Luna.
Princess Luna began to glow, her eyes started to shine pure white, she lowered her horn towards her sister and recited, "The solar queen has been mean, the crimes she has committed must be paid for, which like those before her will lead her into lore, the time has come for her to go to the sun, which definitely will not be fun."
Luna fired a bolt of pure white energy at her sister, this caused Celestia to rocket skywards into the sun. Luna had a huge grin on her face as she looked over at Twilight and said, "Thank you, you have no clue how much this means to me."
Dark Night asked, "Did that kill her?"
Twilight replied, "No, it did not kill her. She will just be residing within the sun. We will only be able to tell at sunset and sunrise when her silhouette will be clearly visible within the solar disk."
Luna asked, "Does this mean that I am responsible for the sun and the moon here on Alicorn Island?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, it does. I am sure the next thousand years will be as enjoyable for you as ever."
They headed back into the throne room to see a grumpy Rarity and a scared set of parents.
Twilight Velvet asked, "So what now your Highness? What are we going to do?"
Twilight replied, "After I duplicate my forces so the stewards here will have a good sized military, we will be sailing home."
Applejack said, "Thank y'all Twilight. I don't know if I could do much of anymore flying today."
Twilight replied, "Well considering the fact that we have three unicorns with us it will make things easier. Levitating them would put a large strain on those who were charged with that task. Dark Night, Thunder Rage, I need you two to round up all of our forces so I can make sure Alicorn Island has a good, strong standing army."
Dark Night and Thunder Rage gathered all their forces together and Twilight stood down before them. "Well guys, hopefully this is the last time we have to go through this! I'm sure you're probably getting tired of getting struck by energy all the time."
Dark Night replied, "It doesn't bother us any. It is all for you and that is what truly matters!"
Twilight began to glow a deep shade of purple, her eyes were glowing a deeper shade of green and her horn began to glow purple as she recited, "From one to two, two to four and so much more, when one is simple mere, more and more shall appear."
Luna, Cosmos and Galaxia were pleased that they now had the same size of forces that all of Twilight's other stewards had. Luna flew over to Twilight and said, "Thank you so much Twilight. This means a lot to me and you having me banish Celestia to the sun made me feel vindicated. I am sure the sun is far more uncomfortable than the moon was!"
Twilight laughed, "Yeah, definitely. I'm sure it is extremely hot and bright too. I can't wait to see that sunset with her silhouette in it at sunset tonight. It is going to be a spectacular sight!"
Luna smiled and said, "It will be the most beautiful sunset I will have ever seen! Don't worry Twily, I'm not going to rush sunset here just to see it!"
Twilight replied, "I know you won't! Well we had better get going. Tell your mom and dad bye for me."
Luna said, "Will do Twilight. Have a safe trip home."
Twilight shouted to all her forces, "TO THE DOCK, WE'RE GOING HOME!"
All of Twilight's forces boarded the two ships that Twilight had waiting there. Twilight decided that all of her friends and the prisoners would ride with them. She also decided that the dark Alicorns and changelings would be evenly distributed evenly among the ships so there would be no form of segregation. They set off east and a few hours later, Twilight saw the most spectacular sunset she had ever seen. A bright orange disk with the silhouette of what she thought of as one of Equestria's worst criminals in it, that of Princess Celestia.
After four days at sea it was mid-morning when land finally appeared on the horizon. This lifted the spirits of everypony immensely, well almost everypony. Twilight's parents and Rarity knew it just meant they were all the closer to starting their long sentence in the dungeon.
When they finally reached land Twilight shouted, "Finally, Equestria! We're home!"
Applejack said, "Finally, we were running low on food and look, there's some of those apples that are so good. Let's grab a bite to eat."
Twilight said, "Yes, before we start the flight home, let's eat. Who wants to volunteer to levitate our prisoners home?"
Shining Armor said, "I will levitate dad home, he is fairly heavy."
Twilight replied, "Ok, I will levitate mom home then. After all, the kids should be the ones to levitate their parents home, even if they are tyrants."
Crescent Sparkle said, "Hey, just because you two are all powerful now doesn't give you the right to resort to petty name calling."
Twilight rolled her eyes and said, "Look dad, be careful of what you say. I can always extend that sentence you know."
Crescent grunted but realized that it would be best if he just remained quiet.
Applejack said, "Twilight, Ah can levitate Rarity back. She won't cause me any issues."
Twilight replied, "Great! Now we just need to eat and we can start our long flight home."
After they ate they started their long flight home. Initially they had a good tail wind that pushed them along but once they got past Dodge Junction they encountered a nasty cross wind that slowed them down significantly. Finally around seven that evening they landed in Ponyville to an adoring crowd.
Before Twilight could even get her mom set down she had Colgate fly down to her and hug her. "You're home Twilight! I'm so happy you're home!" said Colgate
Twilight replied, "I'm happy to be home too."
Colgate asked "How did it feel when you took over Alicorn Island and became the leader of the entire world?"
Twilight replied, "It felt good, very good. I have a feeling I know why you are so excited that I am home. Is it because now you can go back to being a full time dentist?"
Colgate said, "I hope you're not mad but yeah, that is a huge part of it but also we all missed you!"
Twilight said, "Could you and my friends go up to the dining hall and wait for us to show up for supper. Shining Armor, Dark Night, Thunder Rage and I have three problems we need to take care of."
"Sure thing Twilight." said Colgate
Twilight, her brother and her generals led their prisoners down to the dungeon. While Crescent Sparkle and Twilight Velvet went into their cells without any problems, Rarity proved to be a major pain in the flank.
"You monster," shouted Rarity "With friends like you who needs enemies?"
Twilight replied, "Who is to say we are friends Rarity? After everything you have pulled you should be glad I didn't have Luna banish you to the sun or me banish you to the void?"
Rarity replied, "Anything would be better than being locked up in this dungeon eating that mess hall swill."
Twilight said, "That is exactly why I chose this as your punishment. I chose what would be the worst on you. Oh well, if you three don't eat your food, Ice Storm will gladly finish what you don't."
Ice Storm said, "Thanks Twilight! You are the best leader anypony could ever have!"
Twilight replied, "Well I know your appetite is bigger than anypony else I know, even my brother and he has a huge appetite."
Shining Armor said, "Yeah, I always have had a big appetite."
Rarity shouted, "Do you know how awful these stumps look on me. They are a fashion disaster!"
Twilight replied, "What does it matter? Nopony is going to see them for at least 35 years anyway."
Rarity said, "What do you mean at least 35 years."
Twilight replied, "I say at least because like last time, your sentence will increase if you cause us a lot of problems. The same goes for you too mom and dad. Behave and you won't serve longer than I sentenced you for, you could even get out early. You misbehave, sass me or anypony else or cause other problems the sentence will be increased. Do you understand?"
Twilight Velvet said, "Yes Twilight, we understand."
Twilight replied, "You three are my prisoners, I would prefer it if you called me Dark Goddess Twilight."
Rarity said, "Fine, Dark Goddess Twilight."
Twilight said, "I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry. Let's go get some supper. Don't worry you three, Colonel Ice Storm, Colonel Lightning Wasp and Major Black Mist will be bringing you your meals. Oh and do me a favor, address them by their title."
Crescent Sparkle said, "So we have to address them as Colonel or Major?"
Twilight replied, "Yes dad, you do."
Twilight Velvet said, "I thought you liked things more laid back. Why are you so formal with us?"
Twilight replied, "Because you are my prisoners, that's why. Let's go guys, I'm hungry."
Twilight and her company headed upstairs to the dining hall just as the chefs were bringing in their meal.
Twilight said, "Wow, this looks so tasty! I had a lot of good meals abroad but there is nothing like coming home to a huge meal filled with the things I love!"
Colgate asked, "What kinds of things did you miss while you were abroad?"
Twilight replied, "Steak and pork chops! Apparently the equines around the world don't eat much of any meat. I have a feeling that only in Equestria do ponies eat meat and only in Ponyville do we eat as much of it as we do!"
Shining Armor said, "I know little sis, I thought that by the time we reached Alicorn Island, that we were going to shrivel up and not be able to finish everything."
Dark Night said, "I knew we would be able to finish anything but my hunger for meat was beyond huge by the time Twilight became ruler of the world."
Twilight said, "On another topic, how did you like my bed Colgate?"
Colgate replied, "Oh I loved it. Do you think you could have one like it made for me?"
Twilight replied, "Yeah, I can do that. We will have to make a trip out to Alicorn Island to get the materials for the mattress because that is the only place in the world you can get those materials so would it be ok if we waited a couple of weeks?"
Colgate said, "Of course Twilight! I could never ask you to go straight back out like that!"
Applejack asked, "So Twilight, are there any other things you plan on doing?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, there are. Before you go screaming over it, don't worry, it won't affect plant growth any and it won't affect the weather patterns. I plan on turning the entire planets skies from blue to purple tomorrow."
Pinkie asked, "What shade of purple?"
Twilight replied, "The same shade of purple as my coat. I have decided that since I rule the world now that it may as well match me a lot more!"
Fluttershy asked, "Where will you be going to do this?"
Twilight replied, "I will be flying around five miles south of town. This spell is going to require an immense amount of energy."
Starswirl said, "Yeah, I know it will. Chances are the ground will shake all over the planet."
Twilight replied, "Yeah, it will but I assure you all, it won't cause any property damage or result in any injuries or fatalities."
Rainbow Dash said, "Well that is good to hear. It would keep your image worldwide a lot better."
Twilight replied, "Oh, and the sunlight will have a tinge of purple to it as well."
Shining Armor said, "Hey, this is Twilight's world now. She may as well have it how she wants it."
Twilight said, "Yes, and that is what I will do. For now, I am horribly tired. I think I hear my bed calling my name. I'm off to bed."
On her way to bed Twilight ran into Spike, who was very happy to see her.
"Twilight!" shouted Spike "I'm so happy to see you!"
Twilight replied, "I'm happy to see you too Spike. Now that my quest is complete you will be seeing a lot more of me."
Spike said, "That is good! I really missed you. Where have you been all this time?"
Twilight replied, "Well what would you do if I was to tell you that I rule the entire world now?"
Spike's eyes got wide with excitement and he said, "I would think that is awesome! Is that where you have been, conquering the world?"
Twilight replied, "Yes, Spike, and I succeeded. I have stewards in various places across the world who report directly to me."
Spike asked, "Will I still be coughing up a lot of messages?"
Twilight replied, "Probably not, I can use that eye to see what is going on around the world and Luna, who is out on Alicorn Island, is the only one who can even send messages that way."
Spike asked, "What happened to Princess Celestia?"
Twilight replied, "It is a very long story, something that I along with my brother will discuss with you. I am headed off to bed, spending as much time abroad as I did, fighting battles, conquering lands and setting up stewardships is very tiring. I will see you in the morning."
Twilight went to her room and sank down into her bed and went to sleep. Twilight got more sleep that night than she had in a very long time. She woke up well rested and refreshed. She headed down to the dining hall and for the first time, Spike decided to join her for breakfast.
Shining Armor saw them coming and said, "Spike, you finally decide to show up for breakfast! I thought you would have been joining us the whole time we have been here!"
Spike replied, "Well with Twilight having all her military personnel here, I thought that she probably wouldn't want me here."
Twilight said, "Spike, you're always welcome for meals. Besides, we don't discuss government or military issues over meals anyway. Even if we did I wouldn't mind if you were here. I know you're loyal to me so what would it matter?"
Spike asked, "Who are all of the ponies here?"
Twilight replied, "Well the dark Alicorn is General Dark Night, the changeling is General Thunder Rage, of course you know Shining Armor, the blue pony with the white and blue mane is Commander Colgate and the bearded pony is Starswirl the Bearded."
Spike gasped, "Do you mean THE Starswirl that has his own wing in the archives?"
Twilight replied, "Yep, that is him!"
"Hello Spike," said Starswirl "I take it you are familiar with me."
"Yes sir! I thought Twilight said you passed away a long time ago." said Spike
Twilight said, "Spike, Starswirl and I will tell you more about this later as well. To be honest, we have a lot of catching up to do. After breakfast I have one more thing I need to do and then my schedule will be completely clear!"
They all had a very filling breakfast and since she had not spent much time with him, Twilight gave Spike a huge pile of gems that she had seized from The Carousel Boutique.
Spike asked, "What happened to Rarity? I know you two got into a fight and she moved away but will I ever see her again?"
Twilight replied, "I'm not sure Spike. I know you cared for her very deeply but as far as her ever returning, I doubt it. She even left Sweetie Belle and Opal behind when she left."
Spike said, "She did what? How could she just leave those two behind?"
Twilight replied, "I guess maybe that was her way of saying that she had no desire to return. Sweetie Belle is happier than she ever has been living and working over at Sweet Apple Acres and Opal absolutely adores Fluttershy, so maybe it was meant to be."
Spike asked, "Twilight, when were you going to go do that one last thing before your schedule is clear?"
"Now." said Twilight, "Go up to the balcony off of my bedroom and watch what happens. I think you will like it."
Twilight sped off to the south and Spike headed up to the balcony to watch. Once Twilight got to her desired location she thought to herself, "I just hope I don't do anything bad, like rip a hole in the atmosphere."
Twilight began to fly skywards, stretching herself vertically. She began to glow so bright that the light from her glow could be seen around the globe, her eyes were shining radioactive green, her horn was glowing a bright white and she recited, "Blue is the current color of the sky, but I can not lie, it is not the color I would try, a different color would be great, the color of my coat I certainly could never hate, for purple it shall be, forever and forever it shall be purple thanks to me!"
As soon as she finished reciting the spell her energy shot skywards, a massive explosion took place that shook the entire world, purple energy spread out in all directions, ultimately returning and closing back in on itself, causing another huge explosion. Finally Twilight's transformation was complete, the skies were purple, the sunlight was purple and the clouds were purple. When she returned to her tower she was beyond exhausted.
When she landed on her balcony she was greeted by Spike, who was thrilled by what Twilight had done.
"Wow Twilight, that was amazing! How did you do that?" asked Spike
Twilight replied, "Through a lot of hard studying. I feel like I'm going to die I'm so tired. I really need to get some rest. Could you go and tell everypony else I may be sleeping until tomorrow morning?"
Spike said, "I hope you'll be ok and I will get right on telling them that you need your rest."
Twilight laid there in her bed more exhausted than she had ever been in her entire life. She thought to herself, "I never thought transforming an entire planet would be so draining. But then again just until recently, I didn't even know it was possible."
The following morning Twilight was woke up by the purple sunrise and she felt as energized as ever. She looked off her balcony and said to herself, "Wow, how truly beautiful my world is! I can just imagine what the rest of the world thinks! I certainly hope they like it!"
Twilight was interrupted by Spike as he came to the balcony. "Twilight, I know you are admiring your beautiful world but everypony else is waiting on you for breakfast."
Twilight replied, "I'm sorry Spike. You know what I have planned for today?"
Spike thought it would be something leadership related so he sighed and said, "No, I don't!"
Twilight flashed a beaming smile at Spike and said, "LOTS AND LOTS OF SPIKE TIME!"
Spike jumped up on her back like he did in the old days and shouted, "That's great Twilight! I miss us having our together time!"
Twilight smiled and said, "I miss that too! Don't worry, there will be lots and lots of it from now on!"
