Voxal eased his hooves away from his own ears. “Now, Scratch, the time is very late, you know the rest,” Voxal said slightly scolding her. She rolled her eyes at Voxal. “C’mon Voxy,” she gave him the puppy dog eyes. He rolled his eyes away; he was unamused he’s seen this far too many times on other ponies. He glanced at Vinyl’s puppy dog eyes. He bit his lip slightly. He gave a loud groan. “I’m sorry, it’s that I don’t want to get arrested…again,” Voxal facehoofed himself. “Oh c’mon Voxy, how was I supposed to know that Smoke Weed was a drug dealer?” she huffed. Voxal sighed in frustration. “Well, sure, but then came the words ‘Do you want some weed?’ was said, how did you miss that?” Voxal scolded. She shrugged. “I donno Voxy,” Vinyl admitted. Voxal sighed as he realized Vinyl’s words. “What did I say about ‘Voxy’?” he asked. She tapped her muzzle. She saw the unamused look come upon her musical friend’s face. “You love it?” she sheepishly smiled. Voxal gave a silent chuckle. “No, I hate it,” Voxal said. He blew his hair out of his eyes. Why is Vinyl such a hard pony to work with?! He mentally screamed. Vinyl walked over to Voxal. “Look, if you are to call me anything, please call me Vox,” Voxal demanded. He saw a frown form on her face. “C’mon, that’s no fun,” she laughed. She yanked on his vest. He quickly reacted. “Whoa, what the buck do you think you’re doing?!” Voxal asked in a slight angry voice. “Just wanted to see you face to face,” she smirked. Voxal saw a blush grow on her face. Vox sighed as he shut his eyes. He saw what Vinyl wanted despite her not saying. A silence swept the air; the sound of wind blew around the room. Vinyl used her magic and closed the window. Voxal looked at Vinyl; a blush was clearly visible. “C-Can I ask you something Voxy?” Vinyl asked. He ignored the nickname. “What?” he asked. “Have you ever wondered what it is to be a Unicorn?” she asked slightly more timid then her usual active self. He looked at her as the question hit him; it felt like a bolder fell on him. “W-Why do you ask?” Voxal asked voice breaking. Vinyl looked at her hooves. “Do you?” she asked. He felt compelled to tell the truth. “Yes, always, I wonder how it feels to be able to hold a cup without burning a wing or a hoof. I always wondered what it must feel like to be like my mother-” he was cut off by a look on Vinyl’s face. “So your mom was a unicorn huh?” she asked on a lighter note. He nodded. “Yeah, my dad, he was an earth pony, same with my brother, and my mom was a unicorn, I guess this is just a coincidence,” Voxal poked at his feathered wings. “I…I had to learn on my own, I learned to fly by watching a young filly, by the name of Rainbow Dash in flight school,” Vox said with a sigh. Vinyl smirked at him. “You think you have it bad, my parents aren’t unicorns, my mom is a Pegasus and my father is an earth pony, you have it great,” she smiled. Voxal shook his head in disagreement. “Are you kidding? My dad was home often sure, so was my mom but anything Pegasus related such as a problem I had with my wings I had to head to the flight instructor,” Vox felt heat go to his cheeks, though he was sure he won this not yet though. “My parents…they were quiet, once I accidently hit my flank on the table, once I yelped I was stopped by my dad, he hit me in the back of the head, one day, one faithful day I was at school, I heard music, I loved it, when I told my parents they forbade it, I asked my friend she got me a DJ set to practice all I want, after school. I played my first record and then…I got my cutie mark…” she paused. “That’s not a sad story,” Vox added. “I never spoke with my parents since then,” she finished. “Oh, there’s the sad thing,” he looked at the DJ. She nodded. “Yeah,” she sighed. She pushed back her dark blue and light blue mane. “W-What were you talking about, with your wings?” she asked wanting to change the subject. He blushed fiercely. “Uh…well, my teacher said ‘It’s natural for a stallion of your age’…” he paused. “But what was it?” she asked rewording it. Why does she want to know! She wouldn't understand it; she's a unicorn not a Pegasus! Voxal’s eyes widened; he realized she wouldn’t understand. “Well, it was so embarrassing I guess, in the middle of the natural route back to home my wings went to its full extent and wouldn’t fold up,” Voxal said holding back blushing. Scratch chuckled loudly. “You got that I get it,” she smirked waiting for a reaction. “Huh? How’d you know?” Voxal asked blushing more than ever. She rolled her eyes. “I’ve ‘met’ lots of Pegasi who have that problem,” she chuckled. His blush deepened. “Oh, I should’ve known,” he sighed disappointed she knew. “Ah, I don’t care, I’m sure that was a freak thing,” she said. “Yeah,” he laughed in queue with Vinyl. Suddenly with no warning WOOSH Vox’s wings tensed up and was at its full extent. He blushed. Vinyl immediately tackled him. “Well, I can take care of that,” she giggled. She massaged his wings softly. He thought back. He was at the cloudsdale fight academy. When it happened. It was embarrassing.
