Dennis' life was dull and grey before, but all of that is about to change when he gets an unexpected surprise in a dying city.

Dennis had a hard, boring, and grey life. His parents died when he was 17 and he wouldn't understand the fact that they were gone. He just wanted something to escape all of that, he wanted something to escape his past, he wanted to feel the feeling of love again. But you know what they say. "Be careful what you wish for."

Hope

Dennis is a sweet young man with brown hair and grey eyes with a tint of ice blue around the irises. He was sort of skinny, but he was strong and fit. He was a closet brony with not many friends. What made him lonelier is that his parents died when he was 17 and 5 years later he still hasn't gotten over them. His life was a dying life, one time he actually thought of committing suicide, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it, because of hope. Hope was what guided him through his life. He hoped that everything would change and his life would get infinitely better. He was trying to at least keep his hopes up, but, it was a losing battle. Ever since he lost his parents he wanted someone or something to love.

Dennis was walking back to his house from work. Work was the worst fucking thing in his entire life. Just watching customers walk in, buy shit, and walk out with their grocery bags in tow. He clocked out and went home, it took him at least 10 minutes to get from his house to work. Making money was hard enough with his kind of job, but her didn't care. He lived with his parents until they passed away, then he took over in the house. But he didn't change a thing about but just a new TV or a new game system or decoration. But everything stayed pretty much the same. He kept everything clean, he kept everything in place, everything was fine. He walked towards the front door and pulled out his keys.

He unlocked the door and pushed it open and walked into his house and closed the door behind him, locking it again. He walked past his family portrait. He walked into the living room and sat down on his couch to cool off his heels from so much walking. He sighed and turned on his TV and Xbox and played some Dead Space 3. Once he was done he walked into his bedroom and closed the door. He took off his shoes and kicked them into the corner and laid down on the bed and fell asleep.

He woke up the next morning and went to work. He clocked in, did his shift, clocked out and went home. On his way home he was walking down his normal path when he noticed a cardboard box sitting there next to the big green trash can in the alleyway. He didn't know why this particular box caught his eye. But he felt something strange about it. He shook it off and continued on his walk home. He tried to push the box out of his mind, but somehow in managed to beat its way back in. He walked into his house and tried to get it off his mind by playing some Dead Space 3.

This failed for he quickly got bored. He decided to sleep it off, so he walked into his room and closed the door behind him and lied down on the bed. He closed his eyes to sleep, but instead he just thought. What was in that damn box that made me so interested in it? He thought. The box was stuck in his mind and he couldn't sleep. I can't take it anymore. I gotta go see whats up with that box... He thought. He got out of the bed, put his shoes on and walked out of his house and down the usual route that he took to work.

He arrived at the alleyway again and sure enough, the box was still there. He sighed and gingerly walked towards the box and then knelt down beside it. He looked inside through the slit in the box. He saw something inside, It was white, and it looked like it was covering something like a blanket, But it looked like it was breathing... His mind was full of questions. What the hell is in here? Whats underneath it? Is it alive? His thoughts, his breathing, his heart was out of control. He gingerly reached for the box and slowly opened it. What was inside, almost gave him a heart attack. Inside was were three fillies, but they were familiar. It was Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadence.

"What the fu-" He stopped himself when he saw that they were sleeping. He closed his mouth instantly but his mind was still out of control. How did they get here? Why are they here? What should I do? He got up to think. When he turned around he accidentally kicked the cardboard box. He instantly froze. He heard the three fillies waking up and he slowly turned and looked at them. He looked back at the cardboard box and knelt down. Celestia with her pink mane looked up at him strangely. She looked around the brown walls around her and then back at Dennis. Dennis cracked a slight smile and Celestia smiled back. Luna and Cadence woke up and looked up at him the same way Celestia did when she first saw him.

Celestia slightly shivered from the chilling cold wind. She looked back at him and reached her fore hooves out to him wanting to be picked up. He put his hands under her shoulders and picked her up and then cradled her in his arms. She enjoyed the warmth of his arms and chest, so she snuggled up with him, causing his heart to melt with joy and happiness. He looked back at Luna and Cadence. They were snuggled up with each other trying to keep each other warm. Dennis shook his head. I can't take this anymore. I have to act. He thought. He put Celestia down onto the cold cement sidewalk and took off his jacket. He held it out to Celestia and she jumped into it. He then held the jacket out to Luna and Cadence and they both looked at him.

Dennis looked at them worriedly and they both looked back at the jacket and hesitantly hopped into it and snuggled up each other and Celestia to keep warm. He held them close and he felt them squirming around tickling him, but he held back his laughter and walked home.

He walked up to his front door and opened it and then walked in closing the door behind him with his foot. He flipped the switch and the lights came on. He walked into the living room and he felt rustling in his arms. He might've woken one of them up by turning on the light. Quickly he set the jacket down on the couch and then opened it.

They were snuggled up with each other. The sheer cuteness of it caused him to smile brightly at the sisters snuggled up with each other all soundly. They began to shiver when he opened up the jacket. He sat on the couch next to them and he held them close trying to keep them warm. Dennis' body temperature warmed them quickly and they stopped shivering. He wrapped the jacket around them and went to his closet and got a blanket. He came back and he saw that the fillies were awake and exploring the couch. He walked over to them with the blanket and sat down on the couch watching them explore the couch and then the coffee table. They weren't really interested in anything, but they all yawned. Dennis laughed and hey yawned.

He saw them snuggle up in the jacket again and he walked over to the kitchen and got some carrots and broke them into equal pieces. he walked back over to them and fed them the carrots. They ate them happily and the smiled at him. He smiled back. "What are you doing in my world?" He accidentally said. Celestia looked at him with the same amount of confusion on her face that Dennis had on his. "Well... are you lost?" He asked. As soon as the words left his mouth they looked sad.

"Well. Don't worry. I'm sure whatever brought you here is gonna fix itself soon. But for now, you can stay with me." He said. That seemed to do the trick because all of their ears perked up and they looked at him. He smiled and they smiled back and they all hugged him. His heart was so full of joy and happiness that he couldn't even take it. He returned the hug and held them tightly.

"Alright, it's time to go to sleep." He said and walked over to his bedroom door and closed it, afraid that they might get swallowed by the clothes. He walked back over to them and saw them trying to get comfortable on the couch. He turned the lights off to where the only light source in the room was the moonlight, shining brightly through the window. He lied down on the couch and wrapped himself in the blanket and closed his eyes to sleep. He felt a warm pressure on his chest and stomach.

He opened his eyes and saw that Luna and Cadence were sleeping happily on his stomach while Celestia was resting on his chest. She was looking at him sleepy eyes. He stared back into her beautiful purple eyes and he put his hand on her back and held her close like a teddy bear. But not too tight trying not to hurt her. She then smiled and snuggled his chest and fell asleep.

Dennis closed his eyes to sleep. He was filled with happiness and joy. His life had been changed forever... Celestia, Luna and Cadence were real, and they were in his home. In his life. They're real, they're here. With me. Dennis thought happily and fell asleep with the little fillies sleeping on him.

Good Morning Indeed

View Online

Dennis woke up and sure enough, the fillies were still sleeping on top of him. He chuckled and tried to get up, but they wouldn't let him. He sighed and just lied there smiling at the three princesses lying on top of him. Celestia was the first one to awake. She let out a cute little yawn and looked at Dennis and smiled. Dennis smiled back and Celestia hopped to his side and walked up to his head. She lovingly nudged his head and Dennis' heart melted. He picked her up and held her in a tight hug. Celestia wrapped her fore hooves around his neck and returned the hug with a bright smile on her face. She pulled away and looked at Luna and Cadence who were still sleeping. She walked up to them and nudged them awake. They woke up and looked at him and smiled.

He smiled back at them and said, "Good morning little ones." He sat up and they sat down in front of him on the couch.

"Good morning!" They said in unison and giggled. Dennis' eyebrows raised in surprise. They're voices sounded young, well, they were just fillies, but Dennis thought that the would have their normal adult voices.

"Wow. You actually talk. I thought you were to young." He said stretching causing his back to crackle loudly.

"We're old enough to talk. We just don't look it." Celestia said. "Then why didn't you talk last night?" Dennis asked.

"We were just nervous." Luna replied. Dennis chuckled. "Well, if I were on your world and extremely young I think I'd feel the same way." Dennis said smiling. The fillies giggled. "Why did you save us last night?" Cadence asked.

"Well, it was cold, and you were fillies, so I couldn't have just left you there to freeze to death." Dennis replied. "Thank you sir." Cadence said walking up to Dennis and giving him a tight hug. "The name's Dennis. And your welcome." He said returning the hug. "So. Who wants breakfast?" He asked getting up from the couch.

The fillies hopped down from the couch and followed Dennis into the kitchen. Dennis pulled out a pan and some pancake mix and a couple of measuring cups. He poured some water in the small measuring cup and some pancake mix into the bigger one. He pulled out a spool and mixed the pancake mix and turned the stove on. Once he was done mixing he put some mix onto the pan and waited with a spatula in his hand.

"So. How did you fillies get here?" Dennis asked looking at them. "We don't remember." Celestia answered. "Hmmmm..." Dennis hummed trying to piece together how they got here, on Earth... Maybe one of Twilight's spells malfunctioned and she accidentally sent them to Equestria. Nah that can't be, because why is it just the Princesses? He thought. "Oh well." He said flipping the pancake. After a few minutes he finished making the pancakes and put it in front of the fillies. The giggled because he had cut them out in the shape of their Cutie Marks.

"Syrup?" He asked holding a syrup bottle in his hand. They nodded and Dennis poured a bit of syrup on their pancakes. They all took a bite out of their pancakes followed by a, "Mmmm."

He smiled and got his own plain, circular pancake. "Good?" He asked. Cadence looked at him with a smile on her face. "This is DELICIOUS!" She said continuing to eat. "Thank you Dennis." Celestia said smiling at him. Dennis smiled and proceeded to eat his pancake.

"So where are your parents?" Dennis asked them. They told him about their parents and where they were and what happened. "Where are your parents?" Cadence asked. Dennis' face instantly became somber and he got up from the table and walked into his room and shut the door. After a few hours he heard them knock.

"Dennis? Are you okay? We can talk about it if you want." Luna said through the door.

"Please, just leave me alone for a bit..." He replied choking up.

"What happened with your parents?" Celestia asked.

"They're DEAD!" Dennis shouted at the door. There was nothing but silence and Dennis became worried. "G-girls?" He asked. He walked over to the door and opened it and saw that they were no longer there. "Girls?" He asked walking into the living room. He saw them sitting on the couch, they looked sad.

Dennis walked up to them. "Hey, hey girls if it's because I yelled at you I'm sorry. I just needed some time." He said kneeling down next to them.

Celestia looked at him and said, "That's not whats wrong." Dennis put hand on her shoulder.

"Hey. Whats wrong?" He said in a fatherly way. "We're sorry, we shouldn't have asked you about your parents. She replied.

Dennis sighed. "Don't be, I'm the one who brought it up. Now come here." He said pulled them all in for a hug. They all hugged him and smiled. "By the way, did you finish your pancakes?" Dennis asked. "No." They replied in unison. "Well go on and eat." He said standing up.

They ran to the table but Celestia turned around and flew up to his face and wrapped her fore hooves around his neck and hugged him. "I love you." She said hugging him tighter. "I love you too..." He said slowly returning the hug. He set her back down on the ground and she ran to the table to finish her pancakes.

Dennis felt a weird feeling in his chest. A feeling of love, kindness and it soared throughout his body in a matter of seconds. He smiled, chuckled and then walked back to the dining room to finish his pancakes. What did she mean when she said it? We'll find out soon I guess. Dennis thought walking back to the dining room.

Afraid To Lose You

Dennis was sitting at the dining room table with Celestia, Luna and Cadence. They had just finished eating their pancakes. Dennis looked at his watch. 12:00... He got up from the table and grabbed they girls plates and washed them. After he was done washing the dishes he saw that they were asleep. Dennis chuckled and he walked into his bedroom and cleaned up, picking up his dirty clothes and all that. Once he was done he walked back over to the sleeping fillies and picked them up and brought them into his room. He tucked them under the covers the covers and turned to walk away when he felt one of them grab his arm. He turned around and saw that Luna was looking at him with "the eyes." He couldn't take it when someone gave him "the eyes" especially when its a cartoon character named Luna...

He looked into her bright teal eyes and smiled a bit. "What Luna?" He whispered. Luna got up and reached her arms up. He put his hands under her shoulders and picked her up and cradled her in his arms. He saw a few of her tears glisten in the bright moonlight. "Luna whats wrong?" Dennis asked.

Luna slightly sniffled. "You're the only person other than my sister or niece who talks to me and you took care of me, and showed me love, I'm just so afraid to lose you. I love you." She said through her tears. She wrapped her fore hoofs around his neck and hugged him tightly, Dennis could her tears on his shoulder.

"Its okay Luna, its okay. I'm right here, you're never gonna lose me. I promise." Dennis replied. Luna calmed down and looked up at him. "Promise?" She asked. "Promise." Dennis replied. She smiled and buried her face in his chest and hugged him tightly. Dennis felt all warm inside.

"Why do you...love me?" Dennis asked.

"Well, you've always been such a father to me and my sister and Cadence." She replied.

"So... you love me as a father?" Dennis finally asked.

"Of course. Is it alright if I called you Dad?" She asked.

"I don't see why not..." Dennis replied.

He carried Luna back to the bedroom and tucked her in and said good night and turned to leave. Luna said something that made his heart melt.

"Good night dad, love you..." She said.

A huge smiled spread across Dennis' face. He turned and walked back over to Luna and kissed her on the head. "Good night Luna, love you too." He said walking out of the bedroom. He turned and looked at Luna who had her eyes closed and snuggled with her sister, he smiled and slowly closed the door. He turned around and let out a long sigh.

Wow, she thinks of me as... her father? And she loves me as one too... Dennis thought. He lied down on the couch and fell asleep. He dreamed of the Mane 6 coming to his house and taking his little girls from him. He woke up quickly and he looked at the digital clock. 3:47. Dennis sighed. But he knew that they had to go home sometime soon, he'll just regret the day they do. He was just so afraid of how it was going to happen. Were they just going to instantly gonna be taken from him, or was he going to have to suffer more just by WATCHING them being take from him, but he knew if he watched he knew he would've said his goodbyes.

He just lied back down and closed his eyes to sleep again. After an hour, he finally went to the bedroom to check on the girls. They were sleeping soundly. Dennis grinned a bit and crept over to the bed and joined them. He crawled in between them and pulled the covers over him as well as pulling the girls closer to him. They wrapped their arms around him and snuggled him. This helped Dennis sleep because their coats were so soft. He held them tightly against him and he fell asleep in their arms.

Growing

Dennis has been taking care of his new daughters for 4 years now, and while they were under his care, they've had twists an turns, but all and all they still loved him. Dennis loved them like they were his own and they loved him like a father, and he knew that. He found out when Luna said it, and they'd also call him "Dad" and whenever he would tuck them in, they would say, "Goodnight Dad, we love you." This always warmed his heart. He was never going to get tired of it. He didn't want to lose them, he didn't know what he'd do if he did. He knew that they were going to leave him, and it was going to come down hard on him. Because he'd have to suffer from more sadness, more sadness than when he lost his parents, cause these were his daughters.

If Dennis knew that he'd be taking care of three Princess ponies from his favorite TV show he'd probably be more prepared, but when it took him by surprise, he still knew what to do. He didn't take them in because they were ponies, not because they were from his favorite TV show, not because he wanted to take them in, its because he knew that he could learn to love again, and that this was his escape from loneliness. Who knows? He might've went home that day and committed suicide? But his mind got the best of him, and now he has three new daughters, who see him as their father.

They were now nine years old and growing fast, this wasn't a challenge for Dennis, the challenge was to hide from them that they were from a cartoon TV show, and that they weren't real. No, can't think like that, they ARE real, to me. Dennis thought. He was afraid of how they would react if they found out. They'd probably hate him forever. Dennis shook his head and opened the door to his bedroom to see the girls sleeping soundly. He smiled and close the door quietly. He walked into the living room and sat down on the couch and began to think.

How much longer can I keep this from them? What will they do? Will they run? I'll probably never see them again. Dennis started hitting his head. Dammit! Stop thinking like that! You are their father, they love you too much to do that. He thought. He calmed himself down and walked into the bedroom silently and crawled into bed with the girls. He felt something wrap around his arm tightly like an anaconda. He looked at his arm to see Luna wrapped around it smiling as she nuzzled it.

Dennis smiled and picked her up, being careful not to wake her up, and put her on his chest. She curled up in a ball on his chest and her smile widened as she snuggled up against him. He then felt something digging into he right him. He looked down at it to see Cadence cuddling with him. Dennis wrapped his arm around her and held her close. He looked to his right to see Celestia on his right on the far side of the bed, this saddened Dennis because she looked sad, he shook her lightly and she woke up and yawned. She turned to look at him and Dennis patted the spot by his side. She smiled and walked over to him. Celestia snuggled up with his shoudler wrapping her fore hooves around it.

Celestia looked up at Dennis smiling and he smiled back, and Celestia whispered, "I love you Dad." Dennis' smile brightened and whispered, "I love you too Celestia, I love you too..." He kissed her on the head and closed his eyes to sleep.

Dennis woke up the next morning and smelled something cooking. Pancakes... He walked into the kitchen to see Cadence standing in front of the stove on a stool cooking pancakes, he looked at the table to see Celestia and Luna wearing a smile on their faces looking at him. He lightly smiled back and looked back at Cadence as she put a pancake on one of the plates that were lined up. She used her magic to levitate it over to the table in front of Celestia.

Dennis walked over to her and rubbed his face, he let out a sleepy groan. "Need help *yawn* Cadence?" He asked. "Nope. Thanks though." She said. "Alright... don't burn yourself please." Dennis said walking past her and patting her on the head. He sat down in his seat and rested his head on the table.

"Morning Dad!" Luna said smiling. Dennis looked up at her and smiled back, then walked over to her and sat next to Celestia and Luna. "Good morning my little Luna." He replied hugging her and Celestia. Cadence levitated two more plates over to him and Luna and then sat next to Celestia with her own plate.

Dennis wanted to make them laugh, he loved it when they laughed at him, so he said, "Hey, wanna see how cows eat their food?" They all looked at him raising an eyebrow. "MOO!" He shouted and the slammed his face down into his pancakes.

All of them burst into laughter and Dennis raised his head laughing with them. They all walked over to him and hugged him and he returned the hug. "You're so funny Dad." Cadence said. "Do you wanna see how and Alligator eats his food?" He asked smiling. They all nodded and sat back down.

Dennis clapped his hands together and slammed them on the table next to the plate. He put one of his hands under the table and started slamming his hand underneath the table while the hand over the table slammed the top of the table on top of the pancake. The girls continued to laugh. "What about a Flamingo?" Celestia asked. Dennis stopped slamming his hands on the table and stood up.

He stood on one foot and then started banging his head of the table. They laughed harder and Luna caught her breath. "What about a T-Rex?" She asked.

Dennis sat back down and tucked his arms into his sleeves to where his hands were hanging out. He looked his food. "MYEAAHH!" He shouted and shoved his face in his food and grabbing it with his hands. "And a Whale?" Cadence asked.

Dennis pushed the chair back and squatted. "Mehhhhh..." He said as he launched him self into the air and landed on the table causing it to flip and sending plates and silverware flying off the table.

The girls laughed even harder and walked around the table and saw Dennis still lying there laughing his ass off. The girls walked next to him and brought him into a group hug. "We love you!" They shouted. Dennis wrapped his arms around them and brought them closer while returning the hug. "I love you too girls." He said laughing.

Piano Man

Dennis had cleaned up all the broken glass and pancakes off the floor and put the in the garbage, he flipped the table back over. He was still kind of laughing from what he did, the girls helping him clean up and then went into the living room. Dennis had washed all the cooking dishes and wiped off the counters and the table. He walked into the living room to see the girls examining his Rock Band set. He had all the instruments, he was best with the guitar and bass, and he had a pretty good voice.

"Whats all this?" Luna asked.

Dennis walked up to them and knelt down next to them. "Those are called Controllers, well they look like instruments, but... here lemme show you." He said walking over to the Xbox.

The girls are used to all of the electronics in the house, but this was strange to them. He put Rock Band 3 in and grabbed the keyboard. He set it up and pulled up a stool. The girls watched on the floor as he scrolled through the songs. I don't want to play anything too heavy. It might hurt their ears... Dennis thought. Dennis found the perfect song. Piano Man, by Billy Joel. He set it to Expert Pro Keys and played the song perfectly and the girls congratulated him and they wanted to try. He decided to place Cadence on the keyboards, Luna on the bass, and Celestia on the guitar. Dennis decided to be on the Microphone.

They played a few songs and Dennis was was surprised at how well Cadence was playing the keyboard. "Cadence where did you learn to play like that?" He asked. "I kinda watched how you did it." She said blushing. "Learnin' from your old man huh? That's alright, I learned from my Dad too heh heh." His chuckles stopped and he frowned looking back at the screen. Dad... He thought.

Dennis walked up to the TV and turned it off. "Alright, that's enough for today." He said turning off the Xbox. "Awwwww." They said frowning. Dennis took all of the instruments and placed them where they were before. The girls began to pout and Dennis walked up to them and brought them all into a hug.

"Hey, at least it was fun, I can promise that we'll have more fun. You are ALL very good at this game." Dennis found out that those few songs was every song in the game because when he looked at the clock he saw that it was 7:03. "Alright, dinner time." He said.

He made the girls some fajitas, he was surprised that they liked them, he wasn't very good at cooking. The girls yawned and became sleepy. Dennis picked them up from their chairs and brought them into the bedroom and tucked them in. By the time he did, they were already asleep. Crawled in bed next to them and wrapped his arms around them and pulled them close.

"Goodnight my little girls. I love you." Dennis said before drifting off to sleep.

Nightmares

Dennis was woken up in the middle of the night by a loud THUD! He looked around him to see that Luna was no longer in the bed. He heard sniffling noises and Luna mumbling something. Dennis looked over the edge of the bed to see Luna on the floor rolling and kicking. He quickly hopped down next to her and held her in his arms. She struggled to get away, kicking and pushing away from him. Dennis held her tighter and tried to calm her down. He began to lightly shake her and rock her.

"N-no! Get away from me! Get away!" She shouted, waking up Celestia and Cadence. They looked at Dennis and Luna and quickly walked over to him to try and help.

Dennis set Luna on the bed and continued to shake her. "Luna! Luna wake up! Luna!" Celestia walked over to Dennis nudged him.

"Yelling isn't going to wake her up." She said calmly. Dennis was hyperventilating and Cadence tried to calm him down. "Dad please, you need to calm down, she gonna be alright." Dennis stared at Luna in horror. She was rolling and kicking and shaking her head.

"GET AWAY!!!" She shouted. Dennis quickly backed away backing into the wall and he slowly slid down and buried his face in his hands. Cadence walked over to him and comforted him while Celestia continued to try and wake Luna up. "Dad, please calm down. She going to be okay, you just need to calm down and help us." She said wrapping her fore hooves around him. "O-o-okay." He said walking back over to the bed.

"P-please! Just STAY AWAY!!!" She shouted. Dennis continued to watch in horror as he stuttered. "W-w-w-water?" Celestia quickly looked at him. "No. That will only make her feel like she's drowning." She calmly said. "Well what are we gonna do?" Dennis asked.

"We first need to calm her down. Do you have something soft?" She asked. Dennis looked at her stupidly. "Celestia, we're on a bed..." He said blankly. "Right..." She said looking down. Dennis grabbed a blanket and the wrapped Luna in it. He then picked her up in his arms. "Its okay Luna, I'm right here." He said cradling her in his arms.

She slowly stopped kicked and calmed down. Dennis sighed in relief and sat down on the bed. He rocked her back and forth and then laid her down on the bed. He brushed her hair back and held her close. "I'm right here, I'm right here, I'm right here." He repeated over and over again.

She wrapped her fore hooves around him and rested her head on his chest. "Please... keep me away from her." She said. She was still asleep, so she was probably talking to someone in her dream. "Okay girls, go back to sleep..." He said lying down with Luna still in his arms.

Dennis woke up the next morning to hear Luna sobbing. He looked at her and she was at the edge of the bed sobbing. Celestia and Cadence weren't in the room. Dennis sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her. "What's wrong Luna?" He asked.

She continued to sob. "I'm so sorry..." She replied. Dennis opened his mouth to speak but Luna continued. "... for this..." She continued.

Dennis' eyes widened as he watched his Luna slowly turned into Nightmare Moon. Dennis watched in horror as her horn glowed and she fired a beam. "AAAAHHHH!!!!" He screamed. He woke up still screaming waking up the girls. "Whats wrong Dad?" Luna asked.

Dennis was a little slightly startled by her voice, but she wasn't Nightmare Moon. Dennis quickly grabbed her and held her in a tight hug. She returned the hug and Dennis stroked her mane. "I had nightmare of losing you, I don't want to lose any of you. I love you all." Celestia and Cadence walked over to him and hugged him. "We love you too." Luna replied hugging him tightly.

"Pancakes?" Dennis asked smiling. They giggled and walked out to the kitchen. Dennis made them some pancakes and then went to the bathroom to take a shower. He dried off and put on a fresh pair of clothes. He walked out of the bathroom and saw them still sitting at the table.

"Something wrong?" He asked.

He walked over to the table and sat next to Luna. "Was this about your dream Luna?" He asked. A tear rolled down her eye and nodded. Dennis pulled her into a hug. "Its okay, we can talk about it if you want to." He said.

She sniffled and looked up at him. "I saw this scary mare, and she said that she wanted you dead and tried to take over my body." She said sobbing, Dennis' eyes widened and he pulled her back into the hug and Luna buried her face into his chest.

"Its okay Luna, I'm right here. You don't need to worry about anything. I'm right here." He said trying to calm her down.

She wrapped her fore hooves around him and sobbed harder. "I love you, please don't leave us!" She shouted.

"It's okay Luna, I'm not going anywhere. I promise." He said hugging her tighter.

Celestia and Cadence walke dover to them and hugged Luna and Dennis. "I promise..." Dennis repeated.

If It Means A Lot To You

Dennis went to work and tried to piece together what happened last night. Was it nightmare moon? Or was it somepony else? He just decided to try and get Luna over it. He was experienced with the Acoustic because he had also learned that from his father. He clocked out and walked home trying to think of who could possibly be trying to be possess Luna. He didn't want anything to happen to her because he loved her, just like Celestia and Cadence. But he didn't have favorites, he loved them all the same.

He came home and the girls greeted him. "Hey Dad!" They shouted jumping onto him.

"Ah, hello my little girls, its good to see you again. Hey, do you mind if I play a song for you? Not on Rock Band, but on a REAL instrument?" He asked.

"Sure!" They shouted in unison once again.

Dennis walked into his room and grabbed the Acoustic Guitar from his closet. He walked back into the living room and sat on the couch. He played one of his favorite song.

And hey Darling,
I hope you're good tonight.
Cause I know you don't fell right when I'm leaving.
Yeah, I want it but no I don't need it.
Tell me something sweet to get me, by.
Cause I can't come back home till' they're singing;

La, la la la, la la la.
Till everyone is singin'
If you can wait till' I get home, then I swear to you,
that we can make this last.
La , la, la.
If you can wait till' I get home, the swear;
I'll come tomorrow, this'll all be in our past.

And it might be for the best.
And hey, sweetie, I need you here tonight.
And I know you don't wanna be leaving,
and yeah, you don't want it but I cant help it.
I just feel complete when you're by my, side.

And I know you can't come home till' they're singing
La, la la la, la la la.
Till' everyone is singing
La, la la la, la la la.

If you can wait till' I get home,
then I swear to you; that we can make this last.
La, la , la.
If you can't wait till' I get home, then I swear;
I'll come tomorrow, this'll all be in our past.
And it might be for the best.

I know you can't give me what I need,
and even though you mean so much to me,
I can't wait through everything.
Is this really happening?

I swear I'll never be happy again,
and don't you dare say that we can just be friends,
I'm not some boy that you can sway.
We knew it'd happen eventually.
La, la la la, la la la.

Now everyone is singing,
La, la la la, la la la.
Now everyone is singing.
If you can wait till' I get home,
then I swear we can make this last.

If you can wait till' I get home,
then I swear we can make this last,
make this last...

He looked at the girls and they were all smiling at him. They had tears welling up in their eyes. Dennis got off the couch and hugged them.

"Thank you Dad. That was beautiful." Celestia said hugging him tightly.

"Where'd you learn to play guitar?" Luna asked.

"Dad." Dennis replied with a slight chuckle in his voice.

"Thank you Dad." Cadence said.

"Uh dad?" Luna asked.

"Hm?"

"We're kinda hungry." She said.

Dennis chuckled and let them go. He walked into the kitchen and pulled out a pot and put water in it. He set it on the stove and turned it on. He pulled out a couple of Mac n' Cheese boxes and set them on the counter. He sat down at the table with the girls.

"So did you learn everything from your dad?" Celestia asked.

"No not technically. Some things I learned from my mom, some things I learned from my dad, and some things I learned on my own." Dennis replied.

"What did you learn on your own?" Luna asked.

"Ah, many things, but too much to list." Dennis replied grinning a bit.

The water began to boil.

"Excuse me." He said getting up.

He walked over to the pot and poured the Mac n' Cheese into the pot and began to stir. After a few minutes he pulled out a strainer and put it in the sink. He strained the noodles and put them back in the pot. He squeezed the cheese packs into the pot and stirred again. Once it was nice and cheesy he got four bowls out and put Mac n' Cheese in them.

"Here you go, mac 'n Cheese, very delicious." He said smiling.

They all took a bite and let out an "Mmmm."

"I can tell you like it." Dennis said chuckling.

They all nodded their heads.

Dennis sat down and took a bite out of his food. They finished their food and Dennis looked at his watch.

11:29, getting pretty late...

"Alright girls, time for bed." He said getting up.

"Awwww." They said in unison.

"Oh don't gimme that, this is the latest I've let you stay up." He said smiling.

He picked them up and lied them down on the bed.

He put Luna on the bed and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Hang on, I'll be right back." He whispered.

He went to the kitchen and got a glass of water. He walked back into the bedroom and handed it to Luna.

"Here ya go." He said handing it to her.

She took a sip and smiled at Dennis.

"Thanks Dad. I love you." She said hugging him.

"I love you too Luna, I love you too." Dennis replied hugging her tightly.

Dennis looked forward and saw that Celestia and Cadence were sound asleep. He chuckled lightly and lied down in bed with Luna.

She took another sip and looked at him. "Hey Dad?" She whispered.

"Hm?" Dennis replied.

"Can you sing me that song again?" She asked.

"Sure Luna."

He sang the song and lulled Luna to sleep. Once he was finished and Luna was fast asleep. He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead.

"Goodnight Luna, sweet dreams." I hope...

Dennis woke up, but he wasn't in his bed anymore. He looked around him and all he saw was darkness. And then the darkness around him slowly turned white, and then it was cold, and then it started snowing. Dennis looked around and heard sniffling. He followed the sniffling noise until he came across Luna. She was crying and shaking, next to the frozen pond. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. He began to stroke her mane and rock her back and forth.

"Its okay Luna. I'm right here. I'm right here, you don't need to worry, I'll always be here for you, no matter what. I promise you that, I will always be there for you. Luna?" Dennis asked.

Luna nodded and wrapped her fore hooves around him and hugged him tightly.

Dennis heard slight laughter. He looked up to see Nightmare Moon smiling deviously at him.

"What do you want Nightmare Moon?" He asked. "What do you want with Luna?"

She laughed a bit louder and grabbed Dennis and flew off with him.

"Dad!" Luna shouted.

Nightmare took him to another place and slammed on the ground causing him to yelp in pain. He rubbed his back and slowly stood up. He glared at Nightmare and she smiled at him.

"You didn't answer my question." He said in a demanding tone.

"Oh, calm down Dennis I'm going to tell you. You see, Luna is young, Her mind is vulnerable, so I can easily slip in and out. Its kind of like-"

"Stay the hell away from my daughter." Dennis snapped.

"Oh. Don't expect that to be a walk in the park, Dennis." She said smiling deviously. "And it'd also be a shame to let your own daughter find out that she's a cartoon character from a TV show."

Nightmare Moon instantly disappeared with the wind and Dennis heard Luna calling out for him.

"Dad? Dad?! Dad where are you?!" She called.

Dennis followed the sound of her voice.

"I'm right here Luna, I'm right here." Dennis said picking her up and holding her tightly. "I'm right here." He said stroking her mane.

They walked back over to the pond and sat down. Luna looked down at the frozen pond and saw her reflection. She sniffled lightly and a tear welled up in her eye. She continued to stare until she finally spoke up.

"What *sniffle* what am I to you Dad?" She asked.

Dennis' heart fell into the pits of his stomach.

He instantly grabbed her and hugged her tightly.

"You're my daughter Luna, and I never wanna lose you, ever." He said with tears streaming from his eyes.

"I'm going to have to leave someday..." She said before Dennis cut her off.

"Don't think like that Luna, I'm here for you."

"Yes you are, but you're not going to be forever."

"Stop it Luna!"

"Please Dad you have to understand that."

Dennis pulled away and put his hands on Luna's shoulders and looked her dead in the eye.

"Luna stop! I will be there for you, I love you, you need to understand that!" He shouted.

"I do understand Dad! Why don't you?!" She shouted back.

Dennis was taken back by her shouting. This was the first time she or Celstia or Cadence had ever raised their voice at him. He hands fell from her shoulders and his head fell. Tears began falling from his eyes. Luna sighed and comforted her father. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. She rocked him back and forth the way he did with her to try and calm him down. Dennis put a hand on her hoof and began to cry.

"I don't wanna lose you Luna, I don't-"

"Shh, it's okay, I don't want to leave, you just have to understand that I have to leave someday. Please. I love you." She said hugging him tighter.

"I love you too Luna..." Dennis said wrapping his arms around her hugging her tightly.

They both pulled away and they looked out to the snowy wasteland. Dennis picked up a bit of snow and shoved it in his mouth. Tasted like vanilla ice cream.

"Hmm. Hey Luna, try this." He said hand some to her.

She took some in her hoof and tossed it in his mouth.

"Wow, tastes like vanilla."

"I know right!'

They both laughed and Dennis rolled his ice-cream-snow into a ball and smirked at Luna.

"Hey Luna?"

"Hmm?"

"Heads up."

Dennis threw his ball of snow at her and it hit her in the face. She laughed and rolled her own little ball of snow and threw it at Dennis hitting him in the right shoulder. They both ran in opposite directions throwing snowballs at each other. They hid behind the snowy hills and waited. Dennis looked over the hill and got a snowball to the face. He laughed and ran over the hill. He did a battle cry and Luna turned around to run. She screamed and ran away laughing but Dennis pounced onto her and they rolled down the hill laughing.

They finally reached the bottom of the hill and Dennis landed on top of Luna. Dennis looked at her and laughed. Luna laughed slapped in the face with snow. Dennis rolled off her laughing. They both got up and laughed. They smiled at each other and hugged. They held each other tightly, smiling with tears streaming from their eyes and snow all over their bodies.

"Hey Dad?"

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

"I love you too Luna... I love you too."

Dennis and Luna woke up and Dennis looked at his digital clock. 6:30. He looked at Luna and they both shrugged. They smiled at each other again and Dennis grabbed her quickly and pulled her in for another tight embrace.

"Hey Dad?" Luna asked lightly. "Did we have the same dream?"

"Were we having a snow fight?" Dennis asked.

Luna nodded.

"Was Nightmare Moon there?"

She nodded.

"Were we hugging constantly?"

Luna smiled and nodded again.

"Then yes, we had the same dream." Dennis said hugging her tighter. "I love you so much Luna."

"I love you too Dad."

Dennis looked at Celestia and Cadence. He reached over a shook them lightly.

"Psst, hey, girls, wake up." He whispered.

They woke up and looked at Dennis.

"What?" Celestia asked.

Dennis pulled all of them in for a tight embrace. "I love you, ALL of you, so much. And I never want to leave you. I want you to know that."

They all hugged him tightly. "We love you too!" They shouted.

Dennis smiled.

I know...

The Truth

3 Years Later

Dennis got a new job that payed a lot more than his last one. This was better for both him and the girls. Celestia was now 17 and she has her pink flowing mane and came up to Dennis' chest now. Luna is now 14, and Cadence is 10. Celestia's attitude was slightly changing. She sort of acting like the Celestia on the show, and Dennis isn't really liking her new attitude. Dennis still remembered what Nightmare Moon said three years ago.

"And it'd also be a shame to let your own daughter find out that she's a cartoon character from a TV show."

Dennis had to hide the remotes from them so they wouldn't find out, but he knows that they will someday find out, whether its in a good way, or a bad way. But today was the day things take a turn for the worst.

Dennis came home from work with bags of food for the girls. He heard them watching TV, but he didn't hear them laughing at their TV shows. He put the bags on the table and walked into the living room. His heart skipped a beat... they were watching... My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but it was that one damn episode that made him want to kill himself. Luna Eclipsed. He walked over to Luna and reached a hand out to put it on her shoulder.

She quickly whirled around and her horn lit up. Dennis' eyes widened and Luna shot a bolt at him. It hit him square in the chest and sent him flying. He slammed into the wall and fell to the floor, screaming in pain.

"I THOUGHT YOU SAID THAT YOU WOULD BE THERE FOR ME! WHERE WERE WHEN YOU WERE GOING TO TELL ME ABOUTTHIS HUH?!?! WHERE WERE YOU?!?!"

Dennis looked up at Luna with tears streaming down her face. Her face was flaring with rage, but then it slowly turned into sadness. Tears quickly began to flood from her eyes.

"I'm so sorry..." She cried.

She ran into the bedroom and locked the door behind her. Dennis quickly got up and limped over to the door and started knocking on it.

"Luna? Come on sweetheart we can talk about this. Please come on, Luna please, I'm here for you." He said leaning against the wall.

He got no response.

He looked at Celestia and Cadence who weren't very happy with him either, but they still wanted know if he and Luna were okay. Dennis knocked on the door once more and still didn't get a response. He looked at the girls and motioned them into the living room. He wrapped an arm around Celestia and held her close while they were walking into the living room. They sat down on the couch and Dennis took a deep breath, then sighed.

"How long?" Celestia asked.

"Ever since I found you." Dennis replied. "I kept it from you because i thought that you wouldn't want to see me anymore, or, you'd hate me forever."

Celestia glared at him for a couple seconds and then sighed.

"Oh Dad," She cooed, "you're our father, we could never hate for ever, even if we did show it, somewhere inside we'd still love you." She said hugging him.

Dennis wrapped an arm around her and hugged her and then wrapped his other arm around Cadence and pulled her in for a tight hug.

"I love you girls."

"We love you too Dad." They both said in unison.

Dennis got up and walked back over to the bedroom door and knocked on it again. Still no response. He slowly turned the knob. It was unlocked now. He continued to turn it and then pushed it open.

"Luna?" He called.

He opened the door fully and his heart split. The window was open and Luna was nowhere to be found.

"Luna?!" He shouted.

He looked under the bed, in the closet, in all of the corners under his clothes. She was nowhere in the room. Dennis looked out the window for a few minutes and then pulled back in. He sat on the bed and began to cry. Celestia and Cadence hopped onto the bed with him and wrapped their arms around him and hugged him tightly.

"It's all my fault..." He said.

Celestia lightly punched his shoulder.

"Don't say that! This is not your fault." She said.

"Then who's fault is it?" Dennis retorted.

"No-ones." She simply responded.

Dennis sighed. "Stay here... I'm going out to look for her." He said walking out of the bedroom.

He grabbed his coat and walked out the front door. He turned to the left and continued down the sidewalk. He looked around for hours and found nothing. He checked every alley, every abandoned building, everywhere. He didn't find her. He didn't want to give up, but it probably would've been hopeless. She probably flew off somewhere far away. He walked back home and walked through the door with tears falling from his eyes. Celestia and Cadence were waiting for him and they looked at them when he walked into the living room, but then looked away when hey saw that Luna was not with him. He sat down next to them and sighed. They didn't talk.

Just silence.

It's been four days since Luna ran away. They've been getting worried about her, wondering if she's coming back. Dennis was slowly losing himself, every night he would go out and try to look for Luna. He hoped that he'd get to her before Nightmare Moon did. It was raining heavily tonight and Dennis was sick, but he didn't care. He grabbed his coat and walked towards the front door. He reached for the doorknob but Celestia and Cadence stopped him.

"No Dad. You're sick, you can't go out tonight." Celestia said.

"I don't care..." He said trying to press on but Celestia shoved him back.

"No! Stay here! I'm not letting you leave!" She shouted.

They all heard a knock at the door and looked at it.

"Girls go hide." Dennis said.

They both nodded and ran into the bedroom closing the door. Dennis looked at the door and reached for it. He opened it up and his eyes widened. Standing there at his door... was his Luna. She was dirty, she was soaking wet from both rain and tears. She looked up at Dennis with tears streaming from her eyes. They both stood there looking at each other. Dennis' mouth was hanging open and tears began to well up in his eyes. Luna opened her mouth to speak but Dennis quickly grabbed her and hugged her tightly while sobbing. Luna wrapped her fore hooves around him and returned the hug, holding him close and tight. They both fell to the floor hugging each other tightly, sobbing, getting tears on each other.

"I'm so sorry." Luna whimpered.

"No! I'm so sorry. I should've told you. Just please, don't leave me again Luna." Dennis replied hugging Luna down hugging her tighter.

Luna was underneath Dennis hugging him tightly while Dennis was on his knees hugging Luna with sobbing.

"I love you so, so, so much Luna. And I promise I WILL be there for you. I promise." Dennis said through his tears.

"Hey Dad?"

"Yes Luna, what is it?"

"I'm hungry."

Dennis laughed. "Okay, c-come on. I'll go make some sandwiches."

They both got up and walked into the kitchen and made some sandwiches. Dennis made sure not to put meat on her sandwich and none on his. They sat down at the table and began eating. Celestia and Cadence came out of the bedroom and saw Luna and Luna looked at them and smiled.

"Luna!" Celestia shouted sprinting towards her.

Celestia picked her up hugging her tightly. Luna returned the hug and Cadence came over and joined the hug. Dennis sat there smiling at them and then walked over to them wrapping all of them in his arms.

"I love you girls. So much."

"We love you too!"

Fun In The Dreamland

Dennis was lying down on the couch with Luna on top of him. They were hugging each other tightly, never wanting to let go, afraid that if they did they would lose each other again. Dennis told her about hiding the show from her and how he thought she would react. They just lay there on the couch, hugging. They've been that way for hours. It was still raining heavily, but Dennis loved it. He loved the sound of the rain beating against the house and the windows. It always lulled him to sleep like it was doing now. He was petting Luna's mane lightly and her eyes closed to sleep. She hugged him tighter and rested her head on his shoulder and let out a heavy sigh, then fell asleep. Dennis hugged her tighter and his head fell back onto the couch arm and closed his eyes and fell asleep.

He woke up in the same snowy place that he was in before when Nightmare Moon assaulted him. He looked to his left and saw Luna sitting there looking out at the snowy hills. He walked over to her and sat down. He threw some snow in his mouth and then wrapped his arm around Luna and hugged her. Luna returned the hug and rested her head on his shoulder then leaned into him and sighed.

"I love you Dad." She said.

"I love you too Luna."

"My that is so sweet." Another voice said.

Both Dennis and Luna looked to their right and saw Nightmare Moon standing there. She walked up to Luna and smiled. She put her hoof under Luna's chin.

"My, so beautiful, it'd be such a shame if something bad happened to you. He hid a terrible secret from you, you're not real little Luna, how could you still love him?" She asked.

"I don't give a shit." Luna said.

Both Dennis' and Nightmare's eyes widened.

"I'll make you eat those words." Nightmare growled.

Dennis quickly got up and hit her.

"Stay the fuck away from my daughter like I told you to." He said.

"I'll be back." She muttered, and then disappeared with the wind.

Dennis sighed and looked at Luna.

"Watch your mouth, I don't want to hear you say that again, you hear me?"

"Yeah... sorry."

Dennis walked up to her and hugged her tightly. They stood there hugging until Luna used her magic to make a little snowball without Dennis noticing. She hugged Dennis tighter.

"Hey Dad?"

"Yes?"

Luna pushed Dennis away from her.

"Heads up!" She shouted and threw the snowball at him.

Dennis laughed and then rolled up his own little snowball and threw it at her. She ducked it and used her magic to create a huge snowball. Dennis' eyes widened and he turned around to run. Luna threw it at him and it hit him. Dennis fell over and started rolling down the hill creating an even bigger snowball as he rolled down. Luna gasped and galloped over to the rolling giant snowball. She galloped in front of it and stopped and tried to stop it. It only rolled over her and caught her inside of it. Now both Dennis and Luna were inside the snowball rolling down the hill.

They continued to roll down the hill until the snowball smashed into the bottom. Dennis and Luna lied the laughing. Dennis tried to get up but Luna jumped on top of him laughing. They wrestled around in the snow laughing until finally Dennis pinned Luna to the ground. She used her magic and pushed him off her and jumped on top of him and pinned him to the ground. She let him go then hugged him again. Dennis returned the hug and lied there with her. Luna sighed and closed her eyes.

"I think I just wanna do this you know? Like hug, I mean you're so warm." Luna said.

"Yeah... you're so soft, it's crazy. I mean, you were like the softest teddy bear when you were young." Dennis said.

"I need to ask you one more time Dad," Luna said, "what am I to you?" She asked.

Dennis sighed. "You're my daughter, and you're real. You are the reason that I still try." Dennis answered.

Luna smiled and hugged him tighter.

"I love you Dad."

"I love you too Luna. I love you too."

They both hugged each other in a sleeping manner and they closed their eyes to sleep. Dennis opened his eyes and thought, Wait, can you sleep when you're already sleeping? He looked at Luna. She had a smile on her face and she was sleeping. Guess so. He closed his eyes again and after a few minutes, he fell asleep. It was all dark. Probably because you can't dream inside a dream. After a few hours Dennis woke up again and he was still in the dreamworld. He looked to his right and Luna was still lying next to him. He nudged her away and she woke up.

"Hm? What? What is it Dad?" She asked.

"Why are we still in the dreamworld Luna?" He asked.

"I don't know. But I kinda like here. It's a good way to get away from the world ya know? It's like the funnest break you could ever have, especially when I'm with you." Luna replied.

Dennis stared at Luna and she looked at him.

"Whats wrong?" She asked.

Dennis didn't answer. He just grabbed her and hugged her. She smiled and returned the hug. They sat there hugging for what have been hours. But every now and again...

...You gotta wake up.

Dennis and Luna woke up. They looked at each other and smiled, then hugged each other again.

"I love you Luna."

"I love you too Dad."

New Arrival

Dennis sat at the table with a bowl of soup in front of him. He glanced up at the girls who were begging him to eat it, because of course, they made it for him. They wanted him to get better AND judge them on their cooking skills. Dennis sighed and looked back at his soup. He reached his hand of from under his blanket and grasped the spoon. He took then tiniest sip... then instantly spat it back out. He began to cough and the girls walked over to him.

"Whats wrong? Didn't like it?" Luna asked.

"No, no. *cough* It really hot..." He said.

"Well you should've blown on it, duh." Luna replied hugging him.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Possibly just another wander or something. Dennis looked at the girls and they nodded. They walked into the bedroom and closed the door behind them. Dennis stood up and walked over to the door. He opened it and almost dropped dead. Standing there with blue and teal striped hair and a white coat was...

...Shining Armor...

"Uh, hello?" He asked.

Dennis slammed the door in his face.

"HOLY SHIT!!!" He shouted running back over to the table and sliding under it.

This cannot be happening. This cannot be happening. This cannot be happening! THIS CANNOT BE HAP- His thoughts were interrupted by the girls walking out of the bedroom and looking at him strangely.

"Whats wrong?" Celestia asked.

"What? Nothing! Heh, heh. What- why would there be something wrong- what do ya mean?" He asked nervously slowly getting up from under the table.

"Well A. You're hiding under the table with the blanket wrapped around you. B. You screamed that swear word while almost going through the wall. And C. You sound very nervous." She Celestia replied.

Dennis opened his mouth to speak but then closed it. He walked over to the bedroom door and gestured for them to go back in. The hesitantly walked in and closed the door behind him. Dennis took a deep breath and sighed. He shuffled back over to the front door before shakily reaching for the door knob. He opened up the door and Shining was still standing there. He looked up at him and Dennis looked at him strangely.

"Y-yes???" He asked.

"Uh, I'm here to see Cadence." He replied.

Fuck! Wait, why does he look youn-... Ahhhh! SHIT!

"Uh, sure... two seconds." He said closing the door.

Fuck-fuck-fuck-fuck-fuck!

He opened the bedroom door and peaked in.

"Uh, Cadence?" He called shakily.

"Yes?"

"Cou-could you come here for a minute?" He asked.

Cadence hopped down to the bed and walked to Dennis' side and smiled at him. Dennis slightly smiled back and walked towards the door with Cadence following close by. He opened the door once more and Cadence gasped.

"Shiny!" She shouted.

"Cadence!"

They ran towards each other and hugged each other tightly. Celestia and Luna peaked their heads through the doorway and saw Shining and Cadence hugging so they walked next to Dennis. Dennis smiled at Shining and Cadence. Celestia wrapped her fore hooves around Dennis and Luna and brought them in for a hug. She smiled.

"Well Dad, looks like you're gonna have to make more room." She said laughing.

Luna laughed and Dennis frowned and turned around.

"Shit." He said walking off.

Dennis invited Shining in and showed him around the house and fed him also, trying his best not to be an asshole. This all just came so fast. Finds Celestia, Luna and Cadence as fillies in a cardboard box, takes care of them for a few years, have some problems, finds out that he and Luna can go to a dream world and see each other, they find out that their from a TV show, Luna runs away, she comes home, and now Shining, of all ponies, the husband of Cadence, is here now, probably to take her home. That's what Dennis is gonna ask him anyways.

Dennis sat down at the table and looked at Shining. Shining looked back and put the spoon back in the bowl.

"Something wrong sir?" He asked.

"What are you doing her Shining?" Dennis asked coldly.

"I was sent here to find Cadence... she is my wife anyways." The last part he whispered.

"Why are you so young?" Dennis asked.

"I dunno. Probably a time flux or something." He replied.

"Hmph, well. As long as you're not hear to take them away, that's fine." Dennis said putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Why?" Shining asked.

"Because their my daughters... and unless you wanna join the royal family, go ahead and ask me. I could use a son." Dennis said.

Shining instantly choked on his soup.

"They're your daughters?!"

Dennis lunged at him and put a hand over his mouth. He looked at the bedroom door and heard nothing but sleepy noises.

"Will you be quiet!" Dennis whispered.

"Sorry."

Dennis sighed and stood up.

"You're sleepin' on the couch tonight." He said walking into the bedroom and closing the door behind him.

That was him being an asshole.

The New Wonderland

6 Years Later.

Dennis was becoming paranoid. He hadn't seen Nightmare Moon in 6 years, and he was beginning to think that she was up to no good. Whether it was from her coming to earth and either killing Dennis or taking his daughters from him to doing something in the dreamworld. He was watching them play Rock Band 3 with Shining on the drums. He wasn't really watching, just thinking. They had finished up their playlist they put everything away and sat down next to Dennis on the couch. Celestia noticed his expression and patted him on the back.

"Something wrong?" She asked.

"No, nothings wrong. *yawn* It's 12:30, time for bed." He replied walking over to the bedroom.

Dennis remembered that he had a guest room in the house and allowed Shining to sleep in it; just as long as he keeps it in good shape, which he was doing a good job at. He lied down in the bed with the girls, almost falling off the bed from how big they were getting. Half of his body was hanging off the bed, but as long as his girls got some sleep, he was happy. He didn't really need any sleep, but he needed to be there in the dreamworld with Luna. He was so tired that he just slumped out of the bed making a loud thud as he hit the floor. He groaned in pain, but then proceeded to crawl out of the bedroom, closing the door behind him with his foot. He crawled into the living room and onto the couch. He grabbed one of the pillows on it and place it under his head. He closed his eyes and fell asleep fast.

Dennis awoke in the dreamland once more, but... something was wrong. There were no longer piles of snowy hills everywhere, it was all burnt grass, and it was no longer snowing, it was just ashes falling from the pitch black sky. And then Dennis saw it. The moon shining brightly above everything else. Dennis looked around for Luna. She might've been having another nightmare like that one night. He walked around trying to look for Luna to help her, trying to save her from Nightmare Moon. Dennis was sweating from how hot it was, he felt like he himself was going to set aflame. After a few minutes he finally found Luna, but she wasn't alone. Sitting next to her was a stallion, with a white coat and a blue and teal mane and tail. He walked over to them and put a hand on Shining's shoulder. He looked up at him and then stared off. Dennis looked to where he was looking and was horrified at the sight. There was a really, REALLY, big crater, along with a giant mushroom cloud. He knew only one person could have done all of this. Nightmare Moon. Dennis sat in between Luna and Shining and wrapped an arm around them then brought them into a hug. He took a deep breath, then sighed.

"Luna," Dennis continued, "this is your dreamworld, you can do whatever you want with it. You can't let this get to you. You can make this place like it was before. It's called dream training. My mother taught it to me when I was having nightmares. Make this the dreamworld that was ours to share." He said hugging her close.

"I... I don't know if I can." Luna replied choking up.

Dennis looked at her. "You have to try."

Luna sighed. Then her horn lit up and she began to concentrate. She grunted and then Dennis felt like the ground was shifting underneath them. The crusty old grass beneath them felt soft now. Dennis looked down and saw the grass taking up it's usual lime greenish color. He looked up and saw the skies turning blue again. He also saw that the moon was going down. The moon was replaced by the sun, and it shined brightly over them.

"Dad, look!" Luna said happily.

Dennis turned around and sighed at the beauty. The abyss that was in front of them was replace by a quarry, and water falls were flowing out of the walls and into the quarry filling it slowly. Dennis marveled at the sight, what made it shine was the rainbow that flowed over the deep quarry. Luna and Shining stood up and Dennis smiled at Luna and she smiled back. Dennis wrapped an arm around Luna and held her tightly.

"It's beautiful Luna! Good job!" Dennis said.

"Thanks for teaching me Dad." Luna replied hugging him tightly.

"D'aw, c'mere you!" Dennis shouted picking her up and hugging her tightly.

He spun around and Luna squealed. She laughed and hugged Dennis closely. He set her down and then looked at Shining. He was smiling and Dennis chuckled. He tilted his head to the side gesturing for them to follow him. He walked over to a clear spot and concentrated. A nice little log cabin began to materialize from the ground up. It slowly formed and then they all looked at it. They went inside and it was like a little crib. Dennis had used his imagination well. There was a long white couch in the living room with a rather large coffee table in front of it. The other thing in front of the couch was an 80 in. HD flat screen TV. The kitchen was fancy and sparkling. They walked into the bedroom where Dennis and Luna were going to sleep in. There were two separate queen sized beds next to each other with an HD flat screen TV in front of them. They walked into the guest room where shining was going to sleep. There was a queen sized bed in the middle of the room against the wall. On the right was a relaxing chair next to a fireplace which had already been lit. There was yet another flat screen TV above the fireplace.

Dennis clapped his hands together and looked at Shining and Luna.

"So, let's have some fun shall we?" Dennis asked.

They both nodded their heads smiling brightly.

"Well come on!" Dennis shouted.

They went out back and looked around. There was nothing but grass and open flatland.

"It's kinda like Minecraft." Dennis said.

Luna raised an eyebrow at him.

"It's a game," he sighed, "all of this, is ours. So what should we do with it?" He asked.

Luna began to think. Then her horn lit up and she began to concentrate again. A large castle began to rise from the ground, but the castle looked familiar. It was sitting atop a large mountain and it had a city attached to it. It was Canterlot. Dennis chuckled.

"Now how are we gonna get up there?" He asked.

"Easy." Luna replied.

Dennis smiled brightly. His wings flared and he flew up to Canterlot.

"I love this place!" He shouted.

They reached Canterlot and began to mess around. There wasn't really anybody/pony around so it was all theirs. They went into the throne room and walked over to the balcony. They all sighed at the beautiful sight. Their log cabin, the large quarry that had already been filled with shallow water, the rainbow that glowed over it. And lastly, the sun, shining brightly over the dreamworld.

"Ya know what? I think we should call this place wonderland." Dennis said. "And ya know what Luna? I think your moon would look perfect in the sky." He said hugging Luna tightly.

She smiled at him and concentrated again. The sun began to go down and Wonderland was placed in the beautiful Moonlight of Luna's Moon. Dennis smiled and kissed Luna on the head hugging her tightly. He sighed at the beauty. He flared out his wings and flew down to the cabin with Luna and Shining behind him. He walked in and went into the bedroom and Shining went into his guest room. Dennis laid down on the bed and closed his eyes to sleep. Then he felt a tight warm sensation wrap around his body like an anaconda. Dennis turned his head to see Luna snuggling him nuzzling his back. He squirmed and Luna gasped and let go.

"O-oh, sorry dad. I didn't-"

"Nah it's fine, c'mere." Dennis said hugging Luna close.

She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped herself around him like she did last time.

"Sorry. I just feel safe when I'm with you. You helped me change my dreamworld, you help through tough times... and you've always been there for me," Luna began to choke up and she hugged Dennis closer, "you HAVE, always been there for me... *sniffle* ... like you promised. I love you Dad. Thank you." She said through her tears.

Dennis had tears in his eyes also and they began to flow. He hugged Luna closer.

"I love you too Luna. Your welcome." He replied.

Dennis and Luna lie there hugging each other tightly. They decided to go to Canterlot and talk. They went into the throne room in each others arms and hooves. They walked over to the balcony and sat down. They hugged each other tightly, never wanting to let go. They were both sobbing getting tears on each other. Dennis began to stroke Luna's hair. Luna nuzzled his chest and continued to sob. Dennis rocked her back and forth while stroking her hair and hugging her tightly. Their love was the strongest thing that they had. It couldn't be broken by anything, not even death. Luna hugged Dennis closer and he kissed her on the head. Luna rested her head on Dennis' shoulder and sobbed harder. Dennis patted her back trying to calm her down, but his attempt failed. Luna squeezed him tighter and Dennis sobbed harder. It was their love that also made them cry harder. Whenever they would open their mouths to speak, the found themselves unable to speak. They would soon cry themselves to sleep, but their love kept them awake.

"I...I...I love you." Luna finally managed to say.

"I love y-you too Luna." Dennis replied.

"I love you so much." Luna said.

"I love you so much, I just, can't stop saying it." Dennis replied.

"I don't think I'd want to stop saying that I love you!" Luna said.

"I don't either! I love you!"

They sat there going back and forth, eventually shouting at each other about how much they loved each other. Their eyes were beet red from how much they were crying. Just because of love. A love that couldn't be broken. Eventually they stopped and fell asleep with each other. They lie there sleeping in each others arms.

Dennis and Luna both woke up in tears. Dennis glanced over to his clock. 7:00. Dennis walked over to the bedroom door and opened it to see Luna standing there. She was going to it to open it up so she could see him. She lunged onto him and hugged him. Dennis returned the hug and walked over to the kitchen. He put her down on the chair and walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a glass cup. He filled it with water and gave it to Luna. She took a sip and wrapped her fore hooves around Dennis' neck and hugged him. Dennis returned the hug.

Shining came out of his room. He probably just woke up from something. He looked at Dennis and Luna and then walked into the kitchen. He rubbed his eyes and shook his head. He yawn and used his magic to get himself a glass of water. He took a sip and then finally spoke.

"Something wrong?" He asked.

Dennis looked at him and smiled.

"Nope."

Luna's Song

It was later that night when they were all going to bed when Dennis' ears got what they needed. He awoke in the dreamworld and he was in his bed, but Luna wasn't with him. He walked outside of the cabin and looked up at Canterlot. There he saw his Luna standing at the balcony. He flew up to her and stood next to her. She looked at him and smiled softly. Dennis loved her smile. It always calmed him when her saw her smiling, with her bright teal eyes glistening in the moonlight. He walked closer to her and brought her into a hug. She returned the hug then began to hum a little tune. She released him and continued to hum, but it sounded it was coming through headphones. Luna took off into the sky continuing to hum. He watched and listened to her until she began to sing.

Come little children,
I'll take thee away,
into a land of enchantment.

Come little children,
the time's come to play.
Here in my garden of shadows.

Follow sweet children,
I'll she Thee the Way.
through the pain and the sorrows.

Weep not poor children.
for life is this way.
Murdering beauty and passions.

Hush now dear children,
It must be this way.
Too weary of life and deceptions.

Rest now my children,
for soon we'll away.
Into the calm and quiet.

Come little children,
I'll take Thee away.
Into a land of enchantment.

Come little children,
the time's come to play.
Here in my garden of shadows.

Dennis was smiling at how beautifully his Luna could sing, but also felt himself feeling drowsy due to her lullaby. He stumbled around and Luna took notice. She swiftly flew down to him and caught him before he could fall. Dennis put n arm around her and looked at her then smiled. She returned his smile. Dennis shook his head to stay awake, but fell down onto the floor. Luna giggled and then heard a light clop. She turned to see a pair of teal eyes looking at her.

"My, my. That was beautiful. But...too bad," Nightmare said walking out of the shadows, "Daddy's not here to protect you now." She growled.

Luna gasped and turned to her father, but was quickly struck down, and taken into the night. A few hours later Dennis woke up startled. He looked around to see that Luna was gone. He quickly got up and searched Canterlot, top to bottom. He didn't find her anywhere. He quickly flew down to the cabin and burst through the door. He everywhere in the bedroom and didn't find her. He burst into Shining's room startling him.

"Have you seen Luna?!" He asked.

Shining shook his head.

"Ahhhh SHIT!" Dennis shouted running out of the cabin.

He ran out to the front and looked around.

"LUNA!!!" He called. "LUNA!!!!!!!" She was nowhere to be found.

Dennis cursed under his breath. He then realized the only place that she could be. He looked up towards the moon. That bitch... He thought. He flew off towards the moon. It took him a couple minutes to reach the moon. He landed and looked around. Wasn't hard to find Luna. He walked over to her and reached an arm out and then stopped. He brought his arm back a bit. Luna turned and looked at him, but something was wrong with her eyes, they weren't Luna's, they didn't show any love, not even a bit. Luna got up and walked towards him.

"Dad? What's wrong?" She asked.

"Don't call me that. You're not Luna. Wheres MY Luna?!" Dennis shouted.

"What are you talking about Dad? Why are you saying this to me?" She asked with tears rolling down her face.

"Where? Is? Luna?" Dennis demanded.

Nightmare knew that her plan wasn't working, so she went for Plan B. She slowly morphed back into her own body and glared at Dennis.

"You want her? Fine! You can have her!" She shouted.

Dennis was blinded by a light and he saw Luna. She had her eyes closed and she opened them and saw Dennis. Dennis sighed and ran towards her and she began to gallop towards him. Nightmare knocked them both back and they both were scattered. They both got up and looked at each other and then to Nightmare.

"Don't expect this to be a walk in the park for you two!" She boomed.

Dennis looked at Luna and she looked at him. Dennis winked.

"That's exactly what it's gonna be, Nightmare. This is OUR Wonderland! You can't take it from us!" He teleported next to Luna. "And you know what else you can't take from us?! Our love!" Dennis shouted and then hugged Luna close.

Luna returned the hug smiling brightly. Nightmare growled and then shot a bolt at them. It was nearing them and then it was deflected back at Nightmare. She dodged it and looked back at them. Dennis smiled but kept his eyes shut. Nightmare continued to fire at them only to watch them ricochet off of them.

"No! This isn't fair! How is this possible?!" Nightmare asked.

"It's called love Nightmare. You must understand. Love is what keeps most of us going, and you can never take love away from family. Even though they may show hatred, somewhere inside, they still love you." Dennis answered smiling at Nightmare.

A tear fell from Nightmare's eyes. Everything was silent for a few minutes, then Nightmare screamed and a blinding light was formed. He cover Luna while looking away from the light. The light disappeared and both Dennis and Luna looked at each other. They smiled and wrapped each other in another hug.

Dennis woke up and saw Luna lying on top of him. She looked at him and smiled. Dennis smiled and kissed her on the head and held her close. Luna returned the hug and nuzzled his chest. Dennis opened his eyes a bit and saw his alarm clock. 6:00. Dennis shrugged and then hugged Luna tighter.

"I love you so much." Luna said.

A tear rolled from Dennis' eye.

"I love you too, my little Luna."

Happy Birthday!!!

4 Months Later

Today, was Dennis' birthday. But he didn't know that because of work, taking care of his new kids and the dreamworld. He completely forgot about it... but Celestia, Luna, and Cadence haven't... They were planning a surprise party for him and it was hard trying to keep from Dennis because... it was Dennis. But they managed. They were able to make the cake without him know somehow, they told Shining about it, and he kept his mouth closed also. Today was the day that Dennis got the best birthday of his life. He put on his work clothes and walked out of the bedroom. They were all smiling at him. He raised a brow at them and they all hugged him. He returned the hug and smiled brightly. He walked out of the front door and they looked at each other. They smiled and then got to work. The set up the cake and decorations and presents. It was hard finding presents knowing that they wouldn't be able to figure out how to sneak out and buy Dennis something for him. So they just created their own.

It was five hours later before Dennis got home from work. They had set up everything and turned off all the lights and locked the door. Dennis reached for the doorknob and turned it. He tried to push the door open and realized that it was locked. What the? He thought. He sighed and pulled out his keys then unlocked the door. He turned the doorknob once more and then pushed the door open.

The lights flashed on and they all hopped out of their hiding spots.

"SURPRISE!!!" They shouted.

"GAH!!!" Dennis exclaimed clutching his chest trying not to have a heart attack.

"Happy Birthday Dad!" Luna said running over to him and hugging him tightly.

Dennis' heart melted. "Y-... You remembered my birthday?" He asked.

"Of course!" Luna said nuzzling his chest.

Tears began to roll down Dennis' cheeks. He hugged Luna tightly and stroked her flowing mane.

"Thank you. I love you all." He said.

"You're welcome, we love you too!" Luna shouted hugging him tighter.

He walked over to the table and sat down. They brought out the cake and sang him Happy Birthday. He blew out his candles and then they all ate cake. Once they were done, the cake was now a lie.

"Presents!" Luna shouted.

She used her magic and levitated 4 presents over to the table. One was white, one was a dark blue, one was pink and the last one was light blue. They were all color coded and Dennis knew which one each belonged to. He grabbed Shining's first (light blue). He opened it and inside was a Royal Guard Medal. He smiled at Shining and he did the same. He put the Medal on and grabbed Celestia's next. He opened it up and saw a Photo Album inside. He flipped through it and saw all of the pictures that they took together when they were young. He looked at Celestia then hugged her. She returned the hug and smiled. He opened Cadence's next. Inside was a picture of Cadence and Shining smiling together. Dennis looked at both of them and hugged them. They returned the hug holding him tightly. He grabbed Luna's lastly. He found an orb that Luna created. He picked it up and held it in his hand. It felt smooth and light. It was a silver orb and it glowed slightly. He looked at Luna and she was smiling at him with tears in her eyes.

He walked over to her and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you all for the wonderful gifts. Now c'mere." He said.

They all walked over to Dennis and Luna and joined the hug. It was pretty late out and Dennis was getting tired. He stood up and yawned.

"Alright then, lets *yawn* get some shut-eye." He said walking over to the couch.

Cadence slept with Shining in the guest room now and Celestia and Luna slept together while Dennis slept on the couch. Dennis walked into the living room when Luna stopped him.

"Um, co-could you sleep next to me tonight?" She asked.

Dennis looked at her. He sighed. "Sure Luna, of course." He replied.

He followed Luna into the bedroom and lied down in between Celestia and Luna. Luna wrapped her legs around him like an Anaconda and squeezed him tightly. Dennis kissed her on the head and held her close. "Goodnight Dad, love you." Luna said. "I love you too Luna. Sweet dreams." Dennis replied.

Dennis woke up with both Celestia and Luna with their arms wrapped around him trapping him in a tight hug. He squirmed to get out, but they had the tightest grip on him. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around them and held them close. It was the warmest thing he's ever felt...well, other than when he first found them and the all laid on top of him. But this was just as warm. They both snuggled closer with Dennis letting out sighs. Celestia rested her head on Dennis' chest while Luna rested her's on his bicep. Dennis, as much as he loved this moment, managed to squeeze his way out of their imprisoning hug. He tip-toed over to the door and reached for the doorknob but then looked back at the bed. He smiled at his daughters sleeping cutely and walked over to them. He leaned down and kissed both of them on the head. He walked back over to the door and quietly opened it. He quietly closed the door behind him then walked into the living room and sat on the couch.

These past years, Dennis has felt very, lonely. He's never been in a relationship before. And the girls could use a mom. If that mom wouldn't freak out when she saw four ponies before her eyes. He heard the door open and Luna peaked her head past the wall. Dennis looked at her and she walked over to him and sat down next to him.

"What's wrong?" She whispered.

"Loneliness..." Dennis whispered back. Luna sighed and wrapped her father in a tight embrace.

"It's okay. You'll find someone." She replied trying to get Dennis' hopes up.

"Luna, this city is dead, I doubt I'll find the right woman. Or any woman to be exact." He replied.

"Oh come on Dad. You just have to look." Luna retorted. That seemed to do the trick because a small grin spread across Dennis' face. He wrapped his arms around Luna and returned the embrace.

"Thanks Luna, really helps." Dennis whispered.

"Anything for you Dad." Luna replied with a giggle.

"I'll start tomorrow." Dennis said.

Dennis was getting ready for his search. He took a shower, put a fresh pair of clothes on then grabbed his coat and walked out the door. They all looked at the door.

"Wheres he going?" Cadence asked.

"He's looking for that special someone." Luna said.

They all smiled and walked into the kitchen. Dennis looked around for a girl. He went to his favorite store, fast food place, even his favorite spot to just, sit down and relax. It was a lost cause. There weren't any people around. The only girls he tried to talk to either looked at him weird, or didn't look at all. They just kept walking. Dennis sat down on the bench and sulked.

Well, at least you tried. Heh, not like that would mean any-oh my god... He thought.

There she was. The most beautiful woman he's ever seen.

I've never seen her before. Did she just move here? Nah, can't be. Why would she move to this shit hole of a city? She probably lived here before, I've just never came across her until now. (How many people do I come across everyday?) He thought.

He stood up and casually walked over to her with a confident smile on his face. She saw him approaching and returned the smile. Dennis almost melted at her smile. It was gorgeous. He sat down on the bench next to her.

"Uh, hey. Whats up?" He asked.

"Ah nothing, just reading." She replied.

"Hmm. What're you reading?" He asked.

"Infinity." She answered.

"Ah. The name's Dennis by the way." Dennis said rubbing the back of his neck.

She giggled. "My name's Denise. Nice to meet you, Dennis." She replied looking back down at her book.

Dennis chuckled and inspected her more. She had straight black hair with red highlights on the left side. She had deep red eyes, in front of them were black glasses. He couldn't see the brand because it hid behind her hair.

"So, what do you like to do?" He asked.

"Read, and write. I like to sing a bit also." Denise replied, "What do you like to do?"

"Uh, games, reading, writing, playing guitar and bass. I can sing a bit too." Dennis replied.

"Really? Can you play for me?" She asked.

"I would, but I don't have my Acoustic with me right now. Sorry." He replied.

"It's alright. How about you bring it here tomorrow, so I can hear you play." She said.

"Tomorrow. When?" Dennis asked.

"8:00" She replied.

"It's a date then." Dennis said. She looked down at her book and the closed it. "I uh, sorry... Denise."

"No, no it's okay really just uh..." She couldn't finish. They both stood up and looked around awkwardly. Dennis rubbed the back of his neck and Denise held her book close to her chest.

"Yeeeaaahhh..." Dennis said, "Tomorrow then?"

Denise nodded then walked off. Dennis did the same and walked home with his spirits lifted. He unlocked the door and walked in closing the door behind him. He spotted them sitting on the couch waiting for him. Luna was the first to walk over to him.

"Well? How did it go?" She asked.

"Perfect. Thank you Luna." Dennis answered hugging Luna tightly.

"Anything for you Dad." She replied returning the hug.

"So. Who'd you meet?" Celestia asked.

"Her name, is Denise," Dennis replied with a smile, "and we're meeting at the same spot that we met tomorrow."

"That's great!" Cadence said jumping up and down then hugging Dennis.

"I'm happy for you Dad. We all are." Celestia said joining the hug.

"Great job Dad." Shining said joining the group hug.

"Thank you. All of you. For helping me get off my lazy bum and looking for a girl." Dennis said. They all giggled and hugged each other.

"Hey Dad?" Luna asked.

"Hmm?"

"Whats for dinner?"

They laughed and then walked into the kitchen.

Friend Or Foe?

View Online

Dennis, Luna and Shining were walking around Canterlot having fun a usual. Dennis had placed a little park with some snow around it for that "old" touch to Wonderland. It was Luna an Dennis' favorite place to go when they felt bored, but how could they get bored of Wonderland? Good question... Dennis, Luna and Shining headed for the castle to marvel at the sight of the night. They walked over to the balcony and looked out to the open world around them then sighed in unison. Dennis wrapped an arm around Luna and Shining and brought them in for a hug.

"I love you two." He said.

"We love you too." They said in unison. Dennis chuckled and then his chuckle led to a cough.

"Dad, are you alright?" Luna asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, just a bit of a cold." He replied.

"Well come on, lets get back to the cabin." Shining said.

"I don't feel like I can fly right now..." Dennis coughed.

"Here I'll carry you down." Shining replied.

Shining walked over to Dennis and he laid down on his back. Shining easily carried him down to the cabin and to his bed. Dennis crawled onto the bed and lied on his back. A bowl of soup materialized in front of Dennis and he took a sip out of it. He sighed and placed it on the nightstand next to him. Luna crawled in bed next to him and laid her head on his lap.

"Dad? Are you going to be okay?" She asked. Dennis began stroking Luna's flowing mane.

"Of course Luna, it's gonna take more than a cold to bring my stubborn self down." Dennis snorted. Luna giggled and closed her eyes to sleep. Dennis made a fireplace and lit the wood to create a nice warming fire. Luna rose and looked at Dennis. Dennis stared into her teal eyes and smiled. Luna returned the smile and hugged him tightly.

"I love you Dad." She sighed.

"I love you too Luna." Dennis replied. Just then, something flew overhead, but only Dennis saw it. "I'm uh, gonna go outside for a little bit, stay here please." Dennis said getting out of bed.

"W-wait, where are you going?" She asked.

"Don't worry Luna, I'll be fine, now go on, go to sleep." Dennis answered walking over to Luna and kissing her on the head. Luna sighed with worry. Dennis placed his hand on her cheek. "I promise." He said lightly. Luna wrapped her fore hooves around his wrists.

"Okay..." She sighed. Dennis smiled softly and laid her down to sleep. She closed her eyes to sleep and Dennis pulled the blankets over her and tucked her in. He kissed her on the head and smiled.

"Good night Luna, love you." He said.

"Love you too Dad." She said sleepily. Dennis chuckled then walked out of the cabin and to wherever the thing that flew overhead went. He around to the back and was startled to see Nightmare standing there.

"GAH! Nightmare what the hell are you doing here?" He asked.

"I'm here to warn you, Dennis." Nightmare replied.

"About what?" He asked.

"Denise." Nightmare answered quickly.

"Don't you touch her." Dennis growled.

"I have no plans to harm her, just a warning to you." Dennis stayed quiet to allow Nightmare to continue, "Denise is not who you think she is. Stay alert when bringing her around your children, for she plans something I know not what. Be careful around her." She finished. Dennis looked questionably at her. Nightmare spread her wings and flew away. Dennis heard the cabin door creak open.

"Dad, what are you doing?" Luna asked.

"Nothing Luna, I'm- I'm coming." Dennis replied walking over to the door.

"Dad whats-"

"I thought you were asleep, what are you doing?!" Dennis asked.

"I- I was just worried, why are you so angry?" Luna asked choking up. Dennis sighed, he knew that Luna didn't like being yelled at, especially if its Dennis.

"Come here, come here, Look-look-look, I love you." He whispered hugging her tightly.

"I-... I love you too Dad." She replied sniffling.

"Come on, let's go to bed." Dennis said picking her up and bringing her to the bed.

They woke up later than ever. Dennis looked at his alarm clock and it was 8:00. Wait... 8:00! He fumbled out of the bed and thudded onto the floor. He grabbed his clothes and ran into the bathroom where he quickly took a shower. He stepped out of the shower and slipped on the tile floor.

"HOLY-" He shouted before falling on his back.

"Dad? Are you alright?" Celestia called through the door.

"Y-yeah I'm fine. Just slipped." He mumbled. He stood up and grabbed his towel and dried himself off. He put on his clothes ran out of the bedroom, grabbed his coat and sprinted out the door, slamming it behind him. He sprinted to the spot he met her in and stopped dead in his tracks. "Shit! My guitar!" He shouted running back to the house. He burst through the door and ran into the bedroom grabbing his guitar and sprinting out of the house.

"Whats up with him?" Shining asked.

"I dunno." Luna replied.

Dennis put his guitar on his back and sprinted down the sidewalk to the spot. After a few minutes of running around corners, hopping fences, taking shortcuts and being chased by random stray dogs; Dennis finally made it. Denise looked up from her book and saw him slowing down. He bent over and panted heavily trying to catch his breath.

"Hey... Denise." He said through his panting.

"Hey Dennis, I see that you're, almost late." She said with a giggle. Dennis chuckled and sat down next to her while pulling his guitar out of it's case.

"Here it is." He panted. He opened it and it wasn't in there. SON OF A... UGH!!! He thought. He remembered he left it on the couch last night when he was playing some songs. "Sorry..." He sighed rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's okay, we can just talk." Denise replied. Dennis nodded and then noticed that her red highlights were now green, and so were her eyes. He shook it off, because he didn't wanna sound weird. "So... whats your life like? Anything to do around here?" She asked, "I just moved here so, I really don't know much about this place." She finished.

"Well, you picked a bad spot to move. This place is kind crappy. Nothing much to do but sit around or do something to occupy yourself with until the day's over. But yeah, onto the other question; My life is pretty boring, dull, grey. But..." Dennis stopped. He didn't know whether or not he wanted to mention any of his children to her. He came up with an excuse fast, "Sometimes it could be fun, meet an old friend, get chased by a stray dog, or just, possibly go out and try to have fun." He snorted.

"What do you mean by that?" Denise asked.

"There's nothing fun to do around here." He replied in a deadpan tone.

"Oh..." She sighed. She then stood up and Dennis stood with her.

"Something wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing, just... tired..." She replied with a yawn.

"We've only been here for ten minutes Denise." He stated blankly. Denise's eyes darted everywhere and Dennis sighed. "Look Denise if you don't like me just say it..." He said in a heartbroken tone. Denise looked at him and opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Dennis looked away shamefully then walked off.

"D-... Dennis..." She called lightly, but Dennis kept on walking. Denise then ran after him and grabbed his arm. "Look, I'm so sorry, I just, really feel weird, this is my first time being out with a friend... if I even had friends..." She mumbled the last part.

"Wait, so, you've never had any friends?" He asked. Denise shook her head. "Well then you could have just told me." Dennis scoffed. Denise smiled lightly then hugged him. "I guess this is goodbye?" He asked.

"For now." Denise said with a growing smile.

They walked parted ways going their ways back home. Dennis walked into the house and saw Luna on the couch. She was lying on her back with a bucket of chocolate chip ice cream next to her, with a spoon in it. Dennis lightly chuckled and put the Ice Cream back in the freezer. He walked over to Luna and lightly picked her head up then rested it on his lap. Luna smiled lightly and rolled over crawling onto Dennis' lap. He began to stroke her flowing blue mane and she cooed lightly. Dennis was startled by a sudden crash in the kitchen. He looked back at Luna who was still sleeping happily. Dennis laid her head on the couch and walked into the kitchen. He saw Celestia on the floor with a plastic cup next to her. He rushed over to her and woke her up.

"Huh? What? Oh hey Dad, wha-" Dennis covered her mouth.

"Shh, your sister is sleeping," he whispered, " and what happened?"

"I was just so tired, you kinda woke us up at 8:00 today." She replied.

"Sorry, just didn't wanna be late." Dennis whispered.

"I can understand that... I guess..." She replied. Dennis smiled and helped her up.

"Alright, come on, come get some sleep." He said bringing Celestia into the bedroom. He laid her down then kissed her on the head and she fell asleep almost instantly. Dennis heard a thud come from the living room and he walked out of the bedroom to see Luna on the floor with her head raised looking around trying to figure out what happened.

"Oh hi Dad." She said lightly.

"Hel-lo, Luna." He replied walking over to her and hugging her tightly. "I love you." He said kissing her on the head.

"I love you too." She said sleepily returning the hug. Dennis laid her on the couch and then laid down next her. He pulled the covers over them and hugged Luna in a sleeping manner. Luna rested her chin on Dennis' shoulder. "Night Dad." She whispered.

"Night Luna. Love you." He replied.

"I love you too Dad." Luna replied hugging him.

Uncovering The Truth

Dennis had been seeing Denise a lot more often and has a good feeling about her, she's been feeling better and has grown quite attached to him. Denise sat on the park on the bench with her long sleeve black shirt and black jeans. Her hair flowed and her green highlights on the left side made her look even prettier, her black glasses hiding her dark green eyes; which Dennis can't stop staring into. She closed her book and sighed. She looked up to see Dennis walking up to her with a smile on his face. Denise smiled back and stood up.

"Hello Dennis." She greeted.

"Hi there Denise." Dennis replied. They hugged then sat on the bench. "So, anything going on?" He asked.

"Nope." Denise answered.

"Well, that sucks... but hey, what doesn't here?" He joked.

"You don't." Denise replied. Dennis looked at her and Denise smiled. Dennis smiled lightly.

"Yeah, I am pretty awesome." He said with a chuckle.

"Dennis, do you, uh... do you wanna go over to my place?" She asked. Dennis raised an eyebrow at her. "I mean, its been pretty cold..." Dennis nodded lightly.

"Yeah, it really has. Okay," he said standing up, "let's go shall we?" Denise stood up with him and walked with him to her house.

A few minutes later they finally arrived at Denise's house. They walked in and, everything seemed like Dennis' house. Pictures of old family members, so nice furniture, few windows, and a couple of game systems. The only different thing about it was the case of old swords. He examined the cases and looked at Denise. She smiled at him and walked into her room. Dennis continued to examine the swords, dating from the old ages to modern day swords. A sudden chill ran up Dennis' spine and he clutched his arms around himself to keep warm. It was taking Denise forever to leave the room,, so Dennis decided to check on her. He shuffled over to the room and walked in to see Denise changing. She was shirtless, but she was still wearing her bra.

"Dude, I'm changing!" She exclaimed.

"Ah! Sorry! Just cold..." He muttered, covering his eyes.

"Here, does that help?" She asked.

"Yeah... that's really warm. What is that?" He asked. Denise grabbed his wrists and removed his hands from his eyes to show her standing dead in front of Dennis. "O-Kay?" He asked. Denise giggled and looked into his grey eyes. Her dark green eyes felt like they were sinking into him, he felt like he was slowly losing control. He shook his head and slowly backed away.

"N-no, I can't do this, really. I mean we've only known each other for a few weeks and-"

"Oh no, its okay. Just go off to all of your friends and brag that got to get that close to me." She scolded him.

"Denise, that's not what I meant." He replied walking over to her.

"Hold on. Let me get my shirt on first." She growled walking into the room.

"Denise wait!" He shouted following her, but Denise slammed the door in his face. He sighed then sat there. A few minutes later the door opened up and Denise was wearing another shirt.

"So, what was that you wanted to tell me?" She asked. Dennis grabbed her and hugged her.

"I'm sorry, I just, felt all weird. I've never been in a relationship before, it's kind of weird to me." He replied.

"Aw, why didn't you just tell me silly?" She asked.

"Probably because I thought you would've figured it out on your own." Dennis answered. Denise hugged him tighter. She pulled away and looked Dennis dead in the eye again. Denise wrapped her arms around his neck.

Time seemed to slow down for Dennis, but Denise was still moving in reality. She quickly leaned forward and pressed her lips against his, her lips were cold, but soft. Dennis slowly wrapped his arms around her and brought her closer, pressing their warm bodies together. He closed his eyes and his muscles relaxed. Then, a devious smile spread across Denise's face. She pulled away and her smile was now casual.

"How was that for your first kiss?" She asked bringing her face closer to his.

"That was awesome." Dennis replied with a light blush. Denise giggle and turned around.

"I'm gonna go get something, why don't you go wait for me somewhere?" She asked.

Dennis nodded with a light grin on his face. He walked into the bedroom and sat at the desk. Denise walked into the kitchen and then stood there, motionless. She grunted a bit then slowly began to transform, she fell on all fours and a horn slowly grew out of her head, wings began to form on her back and her hands and legs turned into hooves with holes in them. She stood up to reveal her true form. Queen Chrysalis, of the Changelings.

"Dennis, could you come here please?!" She called.

"Coming." He replied. He stood up from the desk and walked into the kitchen. "Hey Denise, whats up- OOF!"

Chrysalis shot him with her magic, knocking him unconscious. She levitated his body and brought him into the basement. She walked down the old wooden steps and looked at the true Denise. She looked up and saw Dennis.

"Dennis! What did you do to him?!" She asked, Chrysalis smiled deviously, "TELL ME!" She demanded.

"Oh nothing, just a couple quick kisses, and then I knocked him out." She answered. She walked over to the spot next to Denise and tied Dennis with rope then set him down next to her. "Have fun you two." She said in a sing-song tone. She walked up the basement stairs and closed the door shut, sending the basement into complete darkness. A few hours later, Dennis finally gasped awake.

"Huh?! What?!" He shouted. He looked over at Denise. "What the hell just-"

"It's Chrysalis! The Queen of the Changelings, she came to Earth knowing that the three princesses were here and that you were raising them, so when she saw you and me meet she knocked me out and took my form to lead in and catch you off guard." She explained.

"Wait, Changelings feed off love, that's how they take other thing's forms, then do you-"

"Yes! But that doesn't matter right now, you have to get out of here and back to the princesses and save them before she does something awful to them!" She shouted. Dennis nodded and struggled to escape. It was a loss cause, but Dennis noticed something on the table, a saw. He scooted over to the table and tried to stand up, but his feet were tied.

He started to bump into the table shaking it until the saw fell off. He picked it up and sawed his way through the rope. The pressure from the ropes loosened and he went on to his feet. He cut the ropes and rushed over to Denise and quickly cut her free.

"Come on!" He shouted. They both ran out of the house and towards Dennis' house.

They both sprinted down the street and towards the house. Dennis tried to open the door, but it was locked. He started to ram his shoulder into it and try to break the door open. He grunted then backed away, then kicked the door. The door went flying open and he ran in.

"Girls!" He shouted, stopped to see Chrysalis on the floor, obviously knocked out. "What in the hell?" He asked. He looked up from the floor and saw Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Shining all standing there with a bit of smoke coming out of their horns. "... Damn..." he said, "good job."

"Thanks!" They all shouted.

"So, Dad, is that Denise?" Luna asked.

"Dad?!" Denise shouted.

"Yup, that's Denise, and yes, these are my children." Dennis answered both questions. He walked over to them and smiled at Denise. "Denise, these are my children, Celstia, Luna, Cadence and Shining Armor."

"Hi!" They all shouted. Denise shyly waved. Dennis walked over to her and smiled lightly.

"So, do you still have those feelings for me?" He asked. Denise giggled then leaned forward and kissed him.

"Yeah..." She replied.

"YAY!" Luna shouted jumping onto Dennis. "See? I told you, you'd find someone!" She shouted. Everyone laughed and Dennis set Luna down onto the floor.

"Yeah, yeah I know." He chuckled looking at Denise. He took her hand in his and smiled. "Yeah..." He looked down at Chrysalis' body. "Now what the hell are we going to do about her?" He asked.

Dennis, Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Shining armor rid Chrysalis from this world about 3 years ago, and all was well from that point on. They had fun birthday parties, late nights staying up playing Mortal Kombat, watching movies, and just, having fun. Dennis was no longer feeling as lonely as he did before. He'd found three daughters, a son and a girlfriend, all to love, and to love him. He never gave up on them, not once. Wonderland was in good shape, Dennis and Luna added new things to it that made it seem funner. His life had changed completely, but something at the back of his mind- something that made him itch- something that always pained for him to know; All good things must come to an end. He tried to drown that thought out of his head, he tried so, so hard, but it always brought it's way back to the surface of his mind. Dennis woke up and found himself sitting outside with Luna, it was late at night, and the moon was shining brightly over Wonderland. He rubbed his eyes and sighed.

"Dad? Whats wrong?" Luna asked.

"Nothing sweetheart, it's just that, something's making me paranoid." Dennis replied.

"Well, what is it?" Luna balked.

"You leaving..." Dennis said blankly.

They both sat there in dead silence. Not a single word was said from that point on. They just sat there in the moonlight, looking at each other depressingly. Tears began to well up in Luna eyes and Dennis felt the life being drained from him the moment he said those words. He felt vomit rising from his throat, and it was about to spurt from his mouth, but he managed to hold it back. Luna began crying, Dennis stood up and walked over to her to comfort her. He wrapped his arms around her and squeezed her tightly.

"Its okay, its okay. You even said it yourself, 'I understand that I have to leave sometime." And I've grown to understand that. And I thought that you did also." He sighed.

"I do, it's just that I don't want to leave you. I've spent so much time with you, and I love you so much, I just don't want to leave you." She sobbed into his chest.

Dennis patted her back and stroked her mane. "It's okay Luna, I love you too, but it was going to happen someday."

"No! Please Dad, I don't want to leave you! I just-"

"Luna please! Celestia said that Twilight sent her a message and is coming today to take you home!" He shouted.

Luna's mouth was gaping, she slowly back away from Dennis while shaking her head, tears flowing from her eyes. Tears began to well up in Dennis' eyes. Just another dirty secret, hidden from Luna. He reached his hand out to her while approaching her.

"L-Luna, please." He pleaded.

"How long have you kept THAT hidden from me huh?! Yet again you're breaking your promise! YOU SAID YOU'D ALWAYS BE THERE FOR ME AND YOU ABANDONED ME, AGAIN!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME DAD?!?! HOW COULD YOU?!?!?!" Luna boomed.

Dennis was now sobbing. "I was going to tell you but I knew this is how you'd react! Please you have to understand Luna!"

"OH I UNDERSTAND, THAT YOU'VE STABBED ME IN THE BACK FOR A SECOND TIME! I UNDERSTAND, THAT YOU'VE KEPT ANOTHER SECRET FROM ME! WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I LOVE YOU AND THAT I'D NEVER HATE YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU KEPT A SECRET FROM ME!" Her voice was now making Dennis' ears hurt. He covered them to prevent further damage. "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU?!?! I CHERISHED EVERY! SINGLE!! MOMENT WITH YOU!!! AND YOU JUST TOSSED THEM ASIDE!!!!"

Dennis didn't mean to say it.... but it just erupted from his mouth, and was projected in his voice.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!"

...

...

...

Dead silence, not a single sound. Dennis had his hands still clutched over his ears and his eyes closed shut. Luna was looking at him with bloodshot eyes, tears still flowing from them. Her mouth was hanging open and her face was pure shock, sadness and horror. Dennis' arms fell and he opened his eyes and looked at Luna. She was lying there crying into her fore hooves. Dennis felt like he'd just made the worst mistake of his life, and that it'd haunt him forever, so he went to go fix it.

"Luna I- AGH!!!!"

Luna looked up at him in pure shock. Dennis was about 2 feet off the ground, impaled by spikes that had risen from the earth. Blood began pouring from Dennis' mouth as the spike retracted into the ground and he collapsed to the floor.

Lifeless...

Motionless...

Soundless...

Luna watched in horror as her father lie there on the ground with a big hole in his chest.

It's just a dream right? He... He's still alive... he has to be... its just a dream. She thought.

She slowly rose to her hooves and approached her father. She laid next to his body and scanned his motionless body. He was laying there, blood gushing from his wound, and blood dripping from his mouth. Luna shook her head and began backing away.

"No... no no no no NO NO NO NO NO!!! This can't be! Its... Its not real! I can't!"

Dennis began to laugh, but with an evil twist.

"Of course its real. It may seem like a dream, but its aaaaall real. The old Dennis is gone, and the new one is here. And now, its his turn." He growled.

The wound that was once in his chest began to fill in. Every muscle in his heart began to reattach to each other while his flesh grew back. He took a deep breath then sighed. He looked at Luna slowly. His eyes were now black with red dots, and there was blood smeared over his mouth. His jaw had a bit of flesh missing revealing his gums and teeth.

"There's a new nightmare in town. And he's coming to haunt you forever." He said. His voice had a demonic twist to it and he lifted himself a few inches off the ground.

He opened his mouth and let out an ear splitting demonic scream while flying towards Luna. She tried to run but found herself stuck to the ground. She looked down to see herself sinking in a pool of blood. The new Dennis wrapped his body around her's like an anaconda and pulled her down faster. Luna struggled to get away, but found herself slowly slipping away into the blood. She opened her mouth wide and screamed.

"DAD!!! DAD PLEASE HELP ME!!!"

"LUNA! LUNA! LUNA!!!" Dennis was shaking Luna trying to get her to wake up while shouted her name. Luna was having a night terror, and Dennis had to stop it. "I have to go and help her." He said.

He laid down on the bed next to Luna and closed his eyes.

"Hang on Luna, I'm coming." He muttered.

Luna had broke free of the Nightmarish Dennis and began fleeing instantly. She flew around trying to evade the slashes that Nightmare Dennis had to offer. The Nightmare grabbed her by her back leg and pulled her down.

"You're mine now." He growled.

Luna screamed as she was pulled down. The pressure around Luna's leg loosened up, she looked down to see the regular Dennis, looking up at her.

"Dad?" She asked.

"Yes Luna, it's me. The-" Dennis was shoved away and he began swapping back and forth between Nightmare Dennis and Regular Dennis.

Dennis was now fighting for his own body in his own mind. He redballed into the ground and was rolling around in the grass trying to get the Other Dennis out of him. Dennis grabbed the back of his head and gripped it tightly.

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" He shouted. He pulled and the Other Dennis was flung from his body. He landed swiftly on his feet and laughed.

"I didn't like being in your body anyways." He chuckled. Luna landed by Dennis' side and helped him up.

"Dad are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah." He replied.

"Not for long."

"Who the hell are you?" Dennis asked.

"I'm everything you've done wrong in the past. But you can call me Shadow if you like." He replied with a grim smile on his face.

"Suits you." Dennis said spitting a bit of blood to the side.

"Thanks. But now its time to get rid of you." Shadow growled.

He bolted towards Dennis tackling him out of sight. Shadow drove Dennis into the ground and stomped on him. Dennis kicked him off and crawled on top and began to punch him in the face. Shadow disappeared making Dennis punch the ground. Dennis stood up, but was brought to his knees. Shadow kneed him in the face causing him to fly backwards. Shadow flew over to him, but Dennis surprised him by giving him the biggest uppercut to the jaw anyone has ever seen. Shadow pulled him up into the air and brought him higher and higher. He then dove with Dennis under him. He kicked Dennis down causing him to be lodged into the ground. Shadow swiftly landed next to the smoking crater and wiped the blood from his mouth.

"This... *pant* is the last... shittiest, *pant* day... I'm going, to HAVE!!!!!" As soon as he said "have" he flew out of the smoke rapidly punching Shadow in the face. They flew across the plains with blood flying everywhere. Dennis grabbed Shadow and slammed him back and forth into the ground, then whirled around a few times then threw him into the air.

He jumped into the air and punched him higher and higher. He gave him another uppercut doing a backwards loop in the air then kicking him. Dennis imagined a mountain behind Shadow, and it instantly popped up. Shadow went flying into the mountain causing a loud BOOM to erupt from it. Dennis took a redball to the ground and screamed in pain. Luna flew down to his side and helped him up.

"Dad! Are you alright?" She asked.

"Never felt better..." He wheezed.

They began walking away when Dennis was tackled to the ground. Shadow was on top of him with a sword, he raised it up and pointed it towards Dennis' chest.

"You, are the last problem I'm going to have." He growled.

Dennis sighed.

"Just do it already..." He muttered.

Shadow stopped, his face was curious. He dropped the sword and Dennis opened his eyes to see Shadow smirking a bit.

"Hmph..."

Dennis gasped as a bright light blinded him, and Shadow returned inside his body with a SKSHHHH! Dennis felt all around his chest and inhaled.

"Well.... Uh... that was weird..." He mumbled.

"You have no idea." Luna giggled.

"I just wanna get out of here..." He sighed.

Dennis woke up and yelped in pain.

"AGH! GOOD LORD! THAT FRICKIN HURTS!" He shouted.

"What happened?" Celestia asked.

"You do not wanna know." Dennis and Luna said in unison.

They all giggled and there was a knock at the front door. Luna looked at Dennis worriedly.

"Is... is that Twilight?" She asked.

Dennis sighed and nodded lightly. Luna began to cry and Dennis quickly hugged her. Luna returned the hug and sobbed into his chest. Dennis patted her back and kissed her head. He picked her up in his arms and carried her out of the room. He placed her on the recliner and went for the door. He twisted the doorknob and opened the door just a crack, but the door suddenly flung open and Dennis was tackled by a cyan blur. He yelped in pain and looked forward to see Rainbow Dash, standing on top of him.

"Wheres the princesses?!" She shouted pressing her nose to Dennis'.

"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight shouted.

Rainbow Dash looked back at Twilight then groaned. She walked behind her and glared at Dennis as he sat up.

"Aow! Jeez! What the-" He looked up to see the Mane Six standing there before him. "Oh..." He muttered.

"Hello sir, I'm-"

"Ye-yeah, I know who you are. Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and last but not least, Rainbow Dash." He announced.

"How did you-"

"It's a very, very, VERY long story that none of you would like to hear..." Dennis snapped.

"Well, where are the princesses?" Twilight asked.

Dennis stepped aside to reveal Celestia and Cadence.

"Cadence!" She shouted. They both giggled and ran up to each other and did their little dance.

"Sunshine! Sunshine! Ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" They both laughed and hugged each other.

Good god. I love my daughter but that's REALLY fucking annoying. Dennis thought.

For the love of Celestia Twilight, please that's getting old... Shining thought.

Sigh... Celestia thought.

"Wheres Luna, darling?" Rarity asked.

Dennis sighed and walked over to the recliner.

"Come on sweetheart. It's gonna be okay." He whispered.

Luna looked up from her hooves with bloodshot eyes. She nodded and hopped down from the recliner. Dennis and Luna walked around to be greeted with smiles. This didn't help her, she looked up at Dennis and sighed. She quickly hugged him and the Mane Six gasped.

"I think we'll hear that story now sugar." Applejack said.

Dennis had explained his whole life with the three princesses and Shining. How he found them as fillies, and how they loved him and all of that.

"Wow. That explains it..." Applejack said surprised.

"Yep..." Dennis replied.

"Well, now its time to go... Come on princesses." Twilight said standing up, her horn glowing.

"Wait!" Luna shouted. Everyone- pony looked at her. She ran into the bedroom and came back out with a cardboard box. She placed it on the coffee table then handed the photo album to Dennis. He took it in his hands and looked at Luna who was sobbing. He couldn't hold back his tears any longer, he threw the photo album on the couch and hugged Luna tightly. He could feel her tears on his shoulder, which made him hug her tighter.

"I love you Luna, never forget that, never forget me either. Never forget the love that we shared and the time we've spent together." He sniffled and looked at Celestia and Cadence. "That goes for you too." He pointed at them. He looked back at Luna and sighed. "Luna, I don't want you to think that our time together was wasted, and nothing. I want you to cherish it for the rest of your life." Tears began to flood from his eyes.

Luna nodded and hugged him tightly. "I love you Dad. So much." She sobbed. Celestia and Cadence Shining walked over to them and joined the hug.

"I love you girls. I want you all never to forget our time together, don't ever lose faith." He said. Dennis could hear sniffling all around him. He released them from his arms and backed away. He looked at Twilight and nodded, and she nodded back. She walked over to them and her horn lit up again.

A bright light blinded Dennis and he shielded his eyes. He peered at the light and he felt a cold breeze throughout the house. He saw them float into the air and the light grew brighter.

Dennis could hear Luna's voice echoing, "Thank you Dad, for helping me and my sister, niece, and Shining find our ways through life. I love you."

And then the light exploded causing Dennis to slam his eyes shut and cover them. He opened his eyes a few minuted later, and they were gone. He looked around and saw nothing, but his living room. The pictures of him with his kids were gone, but the cardboard box remained still on the table. He looked inside of it to see all of his birthday presents except one... He looked back at the couch to see the photo album that Celestia had given him. He looked through it to see all of the pictures of them still inside of it. He reached the last page, which had three feathers, a white one, a dark blue one, and a pink one. A teardrop fell onto the paper and the Dennis began to sob. He sat on the couch and buried his face in his hands. His life was gushing with happiness, but what happiness he had before was gone, crushed, but the weight of his children leaving. He closed the album and threw it aside.

Although he never lost hope, Dennis continued with life, knowing that every moment with his children were real. And that they loved him as much as he loved them. Life was back to normal from that day on, but then again...

When was Dennis' life, ever normal?
