Pinkie Pie the Astronaut

After years of testing, Twilight Sparkle and her crew of scientists were finally able to build a rocket that could fly to the outer orbit. As they were entering the final stages of construction, Twilight began looking for a suitable candidate who would fly along with the rocket to space in order to do some test and to help further the scientific understanding of space.
After weeks of harsh tests on many candidates who offered to become the first astronaut, only one pony remained.
Pinkie Pie
Twilight’s pink and happy friend, who was able to withstand the force of the simulated launch as well as possessed the skill and knowledge to do all the test that Twilight’s team had planned. Of course, did the rest of Twilight’s friends volunteered for the job, but like the rest they didn’t achieve the needed requirements. Rarity and Fluttershy denied to participate the g-force test, after hearing that they would be propelled to high speed. Fluttershy because she was scared and Rarity because her hair would get messy. Applejack and Rainbow didn’t have any problem with the g-force, but they weren’t as good as they hoped in the knowledge exam. Pinkie was the only one, who passed both test with remarkable scores, much to Twilight’s frustration. The pink pony was impossible to work with, especially if it was something ordered and structured like science, but she was the only one, who passed, so Twilight didn’t have the choice of not sending her.
They started the advanced training, which Pinkie seemed to fly through without any problems. They soon finished Pinkie’s training to fly to outer space and shortly after that the rocket was finished too.
The day of the launch arrived and the staff was checking everything one last time to see if everything was going well.. Everypony was excited for this historical day. The launch of the first pony into space. Pinkie was getting ready in the the cockpit, as Twilight asked her via the communicator. “This is tower. Are you ready for launch?”
“Silly Twilight. That isn’t the tower, that’s you. I am super duper ready to launch.” Pinkie replied with a bright grin on her face.
Twilight sighed “Ok, then I will now start the countdown. T-10 seconds”
The ignition sequence began, leading the fuel rockets start to build up heat for the blast off.

The tower, holding the rocket, now disconnected.

“We have lift off.” one of Twilight’s co-workers informed them.
With a loud bang, the rocket shoot up from the ground station, pressing Pinkie into her seat. It quickly began to gain height through the propulsion of the fuel rockets and soon only the bright flame, moving the rocket forward, was all that was left to see from the ground. Twilight bit on her lip, because now there was nothing she could do for her friend, if anything goes wrong.
After the short while of silence, Twilight asked through the communicator. “Pinkie, is everything alright?”
“THAT WAS FUN! Can I do that again? Like right now because it was FUN! First it was BOOM and then everything was shaking and then I was pressed into my seat and then more BOOM and THEN I SAW THE CLOUDS GET CLOSER AND NOW I AM REALLY WAY UP HIGH! THISISSOAWESOTASTICAL! ” Pinkie gasps for air for a second. Twilight binks for a second, wondering why the pink pony was so ok with a huge amount of force and stress the launch should have caused her.
“Ok, just continue with doing what you learned in your training and you should reach the outer orbit soon.” Twilight told her friend.
“Okie Dokie Lokie” Pinkie agreed and returned her attention to the rocket controls.
After a few minutes, Pinkie enter the outer orbit, where gravity slowly started to fade away. As she lifted off from her seat, Pinkie instantly pushed the button to talk to Twilight. “OH MY GOSH, TWILIGHT! IAMFLOATING! THISISTHEBESTTHINGEVAR!”
“Yes, Pinkie, that is called zero gravitation. Since there is no gravity to pull you towards our planet, you begin to flood.” Twilight explained in a calm voice, given everypony in the room a very annoyed look.
“Silly Twilly. Uh that rhymed. I knew that already. Don’t you remember teaching me these things a few weeks ago?” Pinkie replied in a innocent voice.
“ARG Yes, I remember. Just wait til you completely enter outer space and we can start with the experiments. That should be in about an hour. I will have lunch now, so I am gone for a while.” Twilight said.
After an hour Twilight returned and told Pinkie “So we will now begin the test on liquids and their reactions in zero gravity.”
“I don’t feel like doing that test.” Pinkie replied quickly.
“Why don’t you feel like it, PINKIE?” Twilight groaned.
“Because I reach the appropriate height early and I was bored so I already started the experiments. Science is fun. Also I wrote the results on to a piece of paper.” Pinkie said happily.
“How did you write them down in zero gravity? HOW DID YOU EVEN GET PEN AND PAPER IN A SPACE ROCKET?” Twilight yelled into the communicator.
“Silly Twily, there’s no need to yell at the communicator. I have pen and paper stashed all over Equestria in case of the experimental data recording situation.” Pinkie answered.
Twilight was speechless. She had no clue, how her pink friend accomplished this. But as long as she had the test result, it didn’t really matter. She turned back to the communicator and said “Pinkie, should we know start the remaining tests?”
“Yes please.” Pinkie answered happily.
Pinkie stayed in orbit for an entire week. After that, together with directions from Twilight, Pinkie started to descent and safely landed in the Equestrian Ocean. After the ground team secured the vessel, Pinkie was in, she happily hopped out of it like nothing ever happened. She stop in front of Twilight, who’s jaws were dropping and pulled out the written test results out of her hair and gave them to her. She then walked over to the rest of her friends and gave them a hug.
Twilight just remained, filled with questions about her very random friend and just asked one thing “How do you do these things?”
Pinkie turned back to Twilight and said “Don’t try to think too much about something. Sometimes you just have to do.”
