> Klockslag > by Time > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Why, Hello There! (1) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Princess Time floated, aimlessly in the now sickeningly sparkly Time Vortex. How did I end up here? How long have I been here? How is my kingdom doing? Were daily thoughts that constantly worried her to the point of tears. "WILL SOMEPONY PLEASE HELP ME!?!?" She screamed once again in vain. She tried to remember the details of my entrapment. Yet, she was not entirely sure of whether or not she was trapped there on purpose. "Hey Princess!" My most faithful student, Doc, called. "Yes?" I walked over to the blue coated colt and was shocked by what I saw, a gaping hole in the Fabric of Time. Something that was NEVER supposed to tear. "How did this happen?!" I cried in disbelief. "I don't know, Princess... I was over here, studying all of Time and Space and then all of a sudden, I hear a ripping sound, and then I looked up, and a white-ish maned, grey coated stallion jumped through and ran off, muttering something about drums...." Doc explained. "Hmmm.... This is most troubling.... Get out of here as fast as you can and then contact the other princesses... I'll investigate." I said. That was the farthest she could ever remember and the most sense that could be made out of the dreams that would torrent her subconscious when she managed to sleep. Which was rare. The princess was soon snapped out of her trance by the sound of something grinding, and a faint light, becoming ever more brighter each time it flashed. Soon, a box that was about the same color as her magic appeared and sped past. She spread my wings and sped after it, it was her only chance out of this everlasting hell. She was soon in front of it. She put my hind hooves up against it in an effort to slow it, or at least get the driver's attention. After many failed attempts Princess Time began screaming at the box, and kicking it until she grew tired and hoarse. She finally gave up and tried to leave it, but not before her cape got caught on the door handle. Soon, before anypony knew what was happening, she was being dragged through the Vortex at breakneck speed. It was so overwhelming, the fear of dying, the thrill of speed, the elation of freedom, all together had the cumulative ability to make her dizzy and faint. "And here is!- HOLY PONY FEATHERS!!! Are you okay?!" A familiar voice got nearer to the unconscious alicorn. "Eugh... My everything." Time groaned as she was helped to my feet by a tan coated stallion. He chuckled. "I've only known one other pony to survive flying through the Time Vortex on the outside of the TARDIS! Hi, I'm The Doctor." He said as he shook her hoof. "Doctor..." The name rang familiar. "I'm Princess Spazio di Tempo." She said shaking her head. "Princess?" He tilted his head. "Yes... Where are we?" The princess asked, looking around at the unfamiliar buildings that now surrounded her. "Wherever it is, it's a welcome change of scenery... I was getting sick of staring into the infiniteness that is Time." "We're in Canterlot." He said. "Canterlot." She repeated slowly. "Oooh!" A grey pony with derpy eyes exclaimed in awe. "And, who is that?" The princess asked, indicating the mare. "My companion, Derpy Hooves." He said as Derpy grabbed Time's hoof and shook it violently. "Interesting..." Time hummed in thought. "Do you, by any chance, have any idea how Klockslag is doing?" she asked, unaware of the time that passed since she disappeared into the Vortex. The Doctor gasped and looked at her with wide eyes. "What? Klockslag is still a place... Right?" Time was getting worried. "What did you say your name was again?" The Doctor asked as if he were onto something. "Princess Spazio di Tempo... Why?" The princess could feel sweat beading on her forehead as she prepared for news. "The Princess Spazio di Tempo?" He exclaimed. "Uh... Yeah." She was getting tired of his games. "As in the Princess of the lost kingdom of Klockslag?!" "Lost!?!?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN LOST?!?" She shouted, earning stares and questioning glances from random passersby, who then grew wide eyed as Princess Time's color began to fade into a light shade of grey. "Keep your voice down... You're causing a crowd to form." The Doctor said in a hushed tone. "I'll speak at whatever volume I choose." She huffed. "Now explain to me what you mean by 'lost'" "After Princess Time disappeared mysteriously, the kingdom began to fall apart... I called in the help of Princess Celestia and Luna, but they were too late... Klockslag fell into ruin in a matter of minutes and for a while, Time in Equestria didn't flow properly and ponies had to rely on the sun for the time of day." He explained. "Wait... What do you mean, 'I called in the help of Celestia and Luna'?!" Time cocked an eyebrow. "Do you not remember me? Princess Time?" He asked sheepishly. "Only one pony ever called me 'Princess Time'." The princess said. By then a crowd had gathered around Derpy, The Doctor, the TARDIS, and Time. "Doc?" She asked as tears welled up in my eyes. "TIME!!" He yelled with glee as we wrapped each other in a huge hug. "Tick tock! Tick tock! Gears begin to crank. Count the ticks, and do a little shake!" We sang in unison. "DOC!!" Time cried as the color came back to her more vibrant than ever. "TIME!!" "What is going on here?!" A girly voice asked. "We were on our way to visit Princess Celestia, but this giant crowd is blocking the road!" "And who are you?" Time looked up and noticed a lavender alicorn and her friends walking through the crowd and towards us. "I could ask you the same." She sounded genuinely intrigued. Time stood up and fixed my crown. "Princess Spazio di Tempo. Ruler of the now lost kingdom of Klockslag." She announced, extending my hoof. "New Princess Twilight Sparkle." She said, taking my hoof and shaking it. "I've never heard of the kingdom of Klockslag." A small purple dragon spoke up. "Do you mind introducing your group?" Time asked, indicating the five ponies and dragon behind Twilight. She introduced them, pointing to each one and saying their names. "Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and my number one assistant, Spike!" "Nice to meet you all. This is Doctor Whooves, my most faithful student, and his friend Derpy Hooves." Time said being careful to pronounce their last names differently. "Hello! I believe I've seen you two before." Twilight smiled. "I'm sure you have." Time said. An awkward silence followed, along with a few disturbed glances from the white mare I believe is named 'Rarity'. Finally Time wanted to know what was up... Mostly because everypony else was beginning to do the same. "Do I have something on my face?" She asked annoyed. "Um.. No.... How do I put this lightly?" Twilight began. "Your mane looks as though it hasn't been maintained in centuries..." Rarity finished for her. Time gave her a 'no dip Sherlock' look and said, "I was lost, floating in a place you couldn't even begin to understand.... OF COURSE- of course my mane looks unkempt." By then, all of Canterlot was standing in the square where the TARDIS had landed. The ponies stared at each other in another bout of awkward silence until Twilight spoke up, "We should get to the Princess." "Lead the way!" Time said. "You can't possibly think about seeing the princess looking like that!" Rarity sounded rude, in a strangely helpful way. "And why not?" Time asked, stepping forward into the crowd. Rarity gave a huff and the other ponies giggled, and they were on their way. > 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Welcome Princess Sparkle, her friends!" One of the pretty white unicorn guards greeted the group as they approached the castle. "We would like an audience with Princess Celestia." Twilight said importantly and the guards let them pass. The two guards stared at the strange white alicorn questioningly as they passed. She then looked at them and asked, "Have you never seen an alicorn before?" and they looked away awkwardly embarrassed. The group walked for a while. Passing through elegant foyers and halls lined with pretty tapestries and stained glass windows depicting amazing pony triumphs and such. And then they reached it, the throne room. "Princess?" Twilight broke the silence to a regal white alicorn with her back turned to them. "Celestia..." Time accidentally gasped. "Yes, my faithful student?" Celestia greeted as she turned. She stopped mid turn as her eyes fell upon Time. "Who..... Where..... Wha-?!" She was clearly confused. "Princess?" Twilight asked concerned. The other ponies accompanying us stood, dumbfounded, jaws ajar and to the floor at the sight of Celestia's reaction. "Are you- But you- LOST!" Was all Celestia could spit out. "Hi Princess.... I'm glad to see you took care of my kingdom." Time frowned. "Time Vortex!" She responded. "We found her in the Time Vortex, Princess." Doc said. "Derpy and I were traveling and when we stopped here in Canterlot, Princess Time was found unconscious with her cape caught on the TARDIS door handle." He explained. "We thought we had lost you forever..... Now the years can finally be caught up!" Celestia exclaimed. "Beg pardon?" Applejack spoke up for the other ponies who were all clearly confused. "With the disappearance of Princess Spazio di Tempo, time has not moved properly...." Celestia began. The other ponies were so lost. "What she means is," Doc began, "It's been the same year for a very long time...." "The year Princess Spazio disappeared." Celestia sighed. "Without the New Year's proper celebration, the year has never changed." Time said. "Ponies still celebrated New Year's on the day they remembered to be the Celebration Day... So theoretically, the year has progressed, but realistically, no time has passed at all." Celestia finished for us. There was a thud as somepony fainted.
