> Memories > by The reader 0_0 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Memories > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a broken magic min submarine, far beneath the waves, stood two ponies; one a magic less unicorn, the other, a wound Pegasus. Rainbow Dash was being held tightly by her friend, Twilight Sparkle, blood seeping from the wound on her side. They were signed on a mission to recover a important item in the lower seas, but the mission was abandoned when they were attacked by a sea creature trying to prevent them from ever finding the item Rainbow had managed to wound it and drive it away, but had been wounded gravely in the process. At the rate she was bleeding, she would die of blood loss if not treated immediately. Twilight had used her magic to dull the pain, but it wasn’t enough. Reason why Twilight and Rainbow was only sighed on this mission because Celestia require the best unicorn at magic and the fastest Pegasus to power the sub. The others couldn't come because its a two pony min sub. “Warning! Warning! Submarine in danger! Hull pressure critical! Evacuate immediately!” A mechanized voice filled the vessel as the alarms rang. During the attack, the hull had been cracked and water began seeping into the interior, flooding most of the decks. During the chaos, Twilight tried to force open the bulkhead door leading to the escape pods, hoping that they could make it to the surface. However, the door was magically sealed, and Twilight no longer had the strength to open it. They had tried to see if they could steer the submarine back towards land, but the power had gone down long ago. Now, they were trapped like rats as the sub sank deeper into the cold, dark waters. The glass cracked, allowing more water to enter the submarine. The oxygen tanks would have surely burst by this moment. At this point, Rainbow and Twilight would probably die from either asphyxiation or drowning. “Rainbow?” muttered Twilight while brushing her lover’s mane. “Hmm?” Rainbow replied. She felt relaxed as her marefriend nursed her wound. “Do you regret being here with me?” asked Twilight. There was no doubt they were both going to die, but there was no reason Rainbow should have to suffer that fate. Twilight felt that all this was her fault. Rainbow Dash turned to see her marefriend and smirked She reached her head up to muzzle the worried unicorn. “Never,” she reassured. True, she did not want to die miles below the ocean. True, she wanted to die as a Wonderbolt, admired by millions of adoring fans, maybe have a statue of her erected in Ponyville so that everypony could see how awesome she was. But, she didn’t care as long as she was with the mare she loved. “Warning! Warning! Oxygen levels at critical levels!” the warning system called out. The red lights continued to blink repeatedly. “Do you regret being here with me?” Rainbow redirected the question to Twilight. Even though she already knew the answer, she wanted to hear her say it. “Yes,” Twilight replied. “What-ahh!” Rainbow tried to scold Twilight, only for the pain to come back in full force. She winced at how much in hurt, trying to fight back tears. When it finally died down, she began to regain her composure. “Whadda ya mean ‘yes’? I mean nothin’ to ya?” “What?! No! I love you Rainbow Dash. I would never regret being with you,” Twilight reassured Rainbow. “It's just… this is not where I wanted to die with you,” she explained. “I wanted to spend my last moments peacefully by your side, holding each other’s hooves.” Upon hearing her confession, Rainbow’s anger died down and she laid her head back on her lover’s chest. “Warning! Warning! Oxygen levels critical!” the system sounded once again. “I wish that thing would shut up!” shouted Rainbow Dash, shaking her hoof at the speakers, “I don't want to be reminded that I'm gonna die.” “Heh, I kinda like it,” Twilight joked. She nuzzled her marefriend on the nose and looked out the glass that separated them from the dark waters. She gasped at what she saw outside the submarine where light can no longer penetrate. It was pitch black outside, and the temperature was near freezing. The pressure outside the sub was extremely and it seemed as if nothing could survive here. But, as Twilight peered out glass, she noticed that the darkness was penetrated occasionally by brief flashes of light. This was bioluminescence, produced by the creatures that inhabit the shadowy realm of the deep sea. Giant squids, sharks, schools of fish swimming by the sub. Twilight looked in awe; she had never seen anything like it. “Wow Rainbow, come and look at this,” said Twilight. The Pegasus shuffled a little closer to the glass, making sure not to make her wound any worse. “Wow, kinda glad I'm dying here,” Rainbow joked. Twilight playfully jabbed Rainbow’s not wounded side. “Kinda reminds me of the place where you confessed to me,” said Twilight. “Pony's Peak?” asked Rainbow. Twilight replied with a nod. “It was the best thing that ever happened to me,” said Twilight. “Best thing?” Rainbow joked. Twilight jabbed Rainbow again, a little harder this time. “Ow!” Rainbow yelped. “I remember that day. It was the day my life changed,” said Twilight. Confession at Pony's Peak Pony’s Peak, located at the outskirts of Ponyville, stood silently in the sunlight. Like a loyal watchdog, it watched over a vast lake that stretched infinitely towards the horizon. At the base of the peak, near the edge of the water stood a nervous Pegasus. She was pacing back and forth, thinking about what she was going to say to a certain friend of hers. “Twilight, I really, really like you,” Rainbow said to herself, immediately shaking her head and frowning. “No, that won’t work. Twilight, I think I have feelings for you.” She frowned again, angry at her lack of creativity. “Sheesh, this is harder than I thought,” she conceded as she sat on her haunches, burying her face in her hooves, “what if she doesn’t like me back?” She sighed and looked over the peak. Rainbow was never the poetic type, but even she could not deny how beautiful the view was. The trees seemed to dance as the wind blew through them, while the local fauna nourished themselves with the plentiful water. The sun’s light danced upon the lake, causing to shine as if thousands of gems lay just below the surface. In Rainbow’s opinion, it was the perfect place to confess her feelings. She had asked Twilight to meet her at this spot around sunset. Rainbow told her it was to show off a new trick she had come up with and she asked if the unicorn had any spells that could make her go fast. Twilight refused at first, stating that she had to organize the library, but in the end, she could not resist Rainbow’s dreaded “puppy-eyed” look. Rainbow looked around, trying to see if Twilight had come, but there was still no sign of her. The Pegasus was beginning to lose hope and was about to leave when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. “Rainbow!” shouted Twilight. “Rats,” Rainbow muttered, cursing her habit of leaving at the wrong time. She would have to fix that one of these days. She turned to face her crush, who was standing in front of her with a pleased expression on her face. This was it; this would be the moment where their friendship would either turn into something even more special, or be completely destroyed. Rainbow’s heart was beating furiously in her chest, almost to the point of bursting. She took a deep breath and exhaled, trying to be rid of all her worries. “Well then, are you just going stand there, or are you going to show me your new trick? I have the perfect spell that is guaranteed to increase your airspeed velocity by fifty percent,” said Twilight Rainbow took another deep breath; it was now, or never. “Um, Twilight,” she began. She began to sweat, her heart almost about to explode. “I kinda sorta lied to you about the whole ‘new trick’ thing.” In an instant, Twilight’s smile disappeared from her face. “Wait, what?” she said, a slight hint of irritation in her voice, “so I came all the way here, thinking that I was about to help a good friend when I should be organizing the library, and all of the sudden, she tells me that it was all a lie? Well then, why am I here?” She scowled at the Pegasus. Rainbow rubbed the back of her head with her hoof. So far, things were not going as smoothly as she hoped. “Well uh, you see…” she said, trying to find the right words. “What?” asked Twilight. “I, uh, forget about it. I’m sorry I wasted your time,” Rainbow apologized. She turned away from her friend’s gaze, not wanting Twilight to see the tears that had begun forming in her eyes. She soon felt a hoof land upon her shoulder. The Pegasus turned to face Twilight, a concerned expression replacing her earlier irritation. “Tell me what's wrong,” implored Twilight. She had never seen her friend so upset before, aside from the time she had broken her wing and had to stay in the hospital. Rainbow sighed sadly. “You’ll probably hate if I tell you,” she admitted. Her biggest fear was that her confession would drive a wedge between them and ruin their friendship forever. “Why would I hate you?” asked twilight She sat on her haunches and looked at her distressed friend. “Believe me when I tell you that I would never hate you, Rainbow.” “Never?” asked Rainbow. She began to feel a bit relieved. “Never,” Twilight reassured. Rainbow sighed in defeat. “I think,” began Rainbow, slowly approaching Twilight until their faces were inches apart, “it’s better if I show you.” Rainbow leaned forward and capture Twilight’s lips in a kiss. The Pegasus felt as if the weight of an entire universe was lifted off her shoulders. Her insides were buzzing as if a horde of butterflies suddenly took flight inside of her. It was her first kiss, and it was amazing. When she broke it off, Twilight just stood there, a dumbfounded expression gracing her features. “I’m… I’m sorry,” Rainbow quickly apologized before taking flight. Tears began flowing out in droves as she flew far away from the peak. She had messed up, big time, and now their friendship would forever be ruined. Meanwhile, Twilight merely stood glued to her spot on the ground. She was silent for a long while, still trying to process everything that had occurred during the past minute or so. Eventually, she reached her hoof up to her mouth and uttered a single word: “Wow” > And for what!? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The event that conspire in Pony's peak. Rainbow been concealing her feelings for Twilight. She wanted to let Twilight know the way she felt about her. What out hesitation Rainbow touch lips with her leaving her speechless and alone with her thoughts. Not giving time to respond to let her know how she felt about the kiss or how she felt about Rainbow now. Twilight was still in the same spot where she sat when Rainbow kissed her. Questions swimming in her mind being unanswered. Why she kissed me? How did I not seen the signs before? Why she couldn't just tell me not show me? Will this effect her friendship or the ponies around us? The questions overwhelming her. Twilight broke out her shock and drop to the ground and started sobbing shielding her eyes from the world. From it's cruel irony. “Why didn't I stop her,” .Twilight wipe the tears that stain her face. But to no avail She couldn't hold the tears it came full force replacing the old ones. “Why didn't I listen,” she buried her faced into the grass staining it with her tears. “I'm so sorry Rainbow.” she sobbed. “I'm so sorry.” “I sense your troubled my student,”a voice rang through Twilight's ear. An instant a bright light blinded her eyes making her yelp in pain from the sudden light. After the light was gone Twilight regain her vision. She wasn't in Pony's peak anymore she was in Canterlot in Celestia chambers. She must of teleported her here. But how she knew Twilight was depress. “ Princess why am I here?”asked Twilight. “ is something wrong? is Equestria in danger!?” Celestia chuckle at her student's usually greeting. “Equestria just fine,” she reassured. She had a smirk on her face she put her hoof on Twilight's shoulder the smirk quickly disappearing of her face. “ Its you I'm worry about.” “Phhf I okay Princess.”Twilight put on a fake smile to reassured Celestia she was alright really when she wasn't. Celestia wasn't convince so Twilight reveal her true facial expression:sadness. She sighed and turned away from Celestia gaze. “It's Rainbow,” she muttered. “I see what's the trouble they y’all had a fight or she take some- “SHE KISSED ME!” Twilight cover eyes she didn't want Celestia to see her crying. “I don't know what will happen am I going to feel the same way? Are is our friendship coming to end? What if the Elements don't work putting lives in danger? And for what? “Twilight I- “FOR WHAT!” She buried her face again sobbing. Celestia pulled her into a hugged. Letting Twilight tears stain her coat she didn't care long as she can comfort her student. She started rocket Twilight back and forth. Singing her a comforting tone. “Give me a smile, Don’t be sad It’s going to be alright. Don’t shed a tear The song that I am singing now I hope that it can bring you a bit of comfort Give me a smile, Don’t get hurt It’s going to be alright, although you are going through a hard time now Time will pass Everything will look up again Give me a smile I am right here by your side I love you, can you hear my heart? Close your eyes No matter what, I believe you I am always here for you Give me a smile, look into my eyes I love you, I have always been looking at your heart It has never changed You can lean on my shoulders Take a rest, Give me a smile. Celestia lifted Twilight's head. She saw the tears had dry a smile upon her face. “ I am right here by your side,” Celestia. “Thank you,” Twilight broke the hugged. “ I so happy I have you” the smile drop from her face forming a frown. “But still I don't know what to do about Rainbow,”she sighed. “Talk to let her know how you feel,” said Celestia. If you don't feel the same way I’m sure she'll understand,”. “I don't even know where she went,” “I can help you with that.” Celestia horn started to glow. A bright light form in near Twilight. once again Blinding her an instant she was gone. “I hope you know what to do Twilight,” she said to herself. Earlier “ Stupid stupid,” Rainbow bang her head on the wall outside a bar in ponyville repeatedly. “Why did I just tell her she probably hate me,” Rainbow stopped banging her head. Hung her head low trotted inside the bar. After the event that happen at pony's peak. She wanted to let Twilight know the way she felt about her but she didn't the wrong way. What out hesitation Rainbow touch lips with Twilight leaving her speechless. Not giving time to respond to let her know how she felt about the kiss or how she felt about Rainbow now. Rainbow sat on the stool in the bar. A pony with a mug as a cutie came up to her rubbing a glass that been used by other ponies. “Rainbow Dash,” He putted the glass down to get a better look. “Oh my Celestia it is you,”. “I haven’t seen you in like....FOUR YEARS! He beam happily. “What's the problem now?” still adjusting the death of you father,”. Rainbow sighed then motion for him to get her a drink. So he got a glass and pulled ice cold cider into the glass. An instant Rainbow grabbed the glass and quickly drink it. “hit me,” Rainbow tapped the glass and another glass was poured. She quickly drink it again. “It's not that.” she sighed. “I kissed my best friend now probably ruined our friendship,” she drink another glass. “And for what to buried myself with boozes.” She had a couple more drinks telling him the all story. “And that's *hic* how it happen.” Rainbow was now fully intoxicated asking for more drinks. But a bartender knows when somepony had a enough. A bright light lighten the room blinding every pony in the bar. Twilight stood in the room looking to around to know where she is. Spotting Rainbow she quickly walked to where she was. But to be stop by a intoxicated blocking her path. “Please excuse me,” Twilight move the other way but he followed. “Hey dear little lady,” he moved closer to Twilight making her back up to a wall. “I kinda really horny here so how about we come to my place and do a little rough housing,” he started rubbing on Twilight's shoulder. “Umm no thank you,” she tried to moved only to be block again by the stallion. “Sir now I ask you to-,” she stop when she saw what he was holding, “I tried to play nice but you wanted to bring my buddy Mr.sharp out which wasn't necessary,” he held a knife at Twilight's chest. “Now slowing walk outside the bar and violence what be necessary.” He moved Twilight to the door. Him and Twilight was about be out the door only to be stopped by a shout from a cyan Pegasus. “HOLD UP! *Hic* TWILIGHT YOUR RAN AWAY FROM ME, *HIC* BUT YOU LEAVE WHAT THIS PIECE OF TRASH!,” Rainbow walking clumsy to Twilight and the stallion. “WHO YOU CALLING A PIECE OF TRASH!” shouted the stallion “YOU!” Rainbow pushed the stallion back. Getting the attention everypony in the bar. Bartender seeing this told them to knocked it off. But they was to intoxicated to listen. Twilight was asking and trying to get Rainbow to leave but again too intoxicated to listen. He pulled out his knife ready to stab Rainbow. “SAY IT AGAIN!” he shouted. Rainbow got dead in his face showing no fear of the weapon. “PIECE- “Rainbow stop it!” pleaded Twilight. “OF!” “Rainbow listen to me!” “TRASH!” she finished. Twilight saw no other option. “That's it you ask for it! He was about to launched himself at Rainbow. Time move slow. “What to do what to do” Twilight rubbed her head than a idea came up. An instant Twilight grabbed Rainbow and teleported them out the bar and into the her bedroom in the oak tree. Rainbow vomit a few times on the floor because the alcohol and teleporting. Twilight clean her up and put her to bed. “Twilight,” whisper Rainbow. 'Yeah Rainbow” replied Twilight. “I'm sorry for earlier I was stupid,” “It's okay just promise me you won't go near there again or any bar,” “ Okay I promise,” ”“And earlier at Pony's peak will that effect our friendship?” asked Rainbow. Twilight didn't answered. She was about to leave the room when Rainbow called her. She played with the blankets smiling sheepishly. “Can you sleep with me tonight.” “Sure Rainbow,”said Twilight. She got into bed with Rainbow and nopony said a word. When she was sure Rainbow was asleep she whispered. “I don't know what will happen and that's what I'm afraid of.” > A confession > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “I'll race you there Twilight. Bet you can't beat me,” Rainbow Dash happily announced. “This is not a race Rainbow! get back here! shouted Twilight. But it was too late;Rainbow Dash had already gone, leaving her in the dust. “ Why do i even bother with you, Rainbow?” shouted Twilight a second time. “You bother with me because I'm awesome! How could some pony not wanna be bother with me? I mean look at me. “I can think of some ponies that don't,” Twilight mumbled under her breath. “It's a race when I'm around and besides, the faster we move, the faster we get those flowers,” said Rainbow Dash. “Well when I'm around we slow down and not make everything a race Rainbow,” replied Twilight. “Maybe it's like that with you but not me,” said Rainbow Dash “How old are you Rainbow?” asked Twilight Sparkle. “I'm twenty two but I turn twenty three next Monday. Why?” the Pegasus replied. “Well you act like a filly and I always have to watch over you. You need to start acting your age.”, Twilight scolded. Rainbow Dash really needed to take things seriously and not make everything a game. “I do act my age! you don’t know what you’re talking about! you need to act your age!” shouted a very angry Rainbow. “I am acting my age rainbow!” Twilight shouted back. “Yeah, being boring and trying to parent me,” Rainbow muttered, her anger beginning to die down. I don’t want to parent you, but you need to start being responsible and not be so reckless,” said Twilight. After Twilight told her off, Rainbow sighed. “Maybe you’re right,” she conceded, “I’m sorry for yelling at you.” “It's OK, Dash,” Twilight reassured. “Friends?” Rainbow Dash asked, worried if Twilight was still angry at her. “Friends,” Twilight replied, hugging her friend in order to calm her worries. As their embrace ended, Twilight looked around her surroundings and took a deep breath. “Don’t you just love the sound of animals and the smell of fresh air,” she said, a peaceful look etched upon her face. “Nah,” snorted Rainbow, “not my style. “Come now, Rainbow,” said Twilight, a pleading tone present in her voice, “Sometimes, you just need to sit back and enjoy this beauty. “The day that happens is the day I turn in my daredevil card,” Rainbow shot back. In truth, she was not the type to just stay on the ground for extended periods of time. To enjoy any kind of view, she had to be in the air, not standing on the ground like some sort of earth pony. “Twilight, you sure she said this is the place? Because I don't want to come here for nothing; you know how much I hate that.” she said, slowly becoming more annoyed. If there was one thing she hated more than losing a race, it was doing something for nothing. (Rainbow, you forget who you’re talking to. Of course I’m sure this is the place, and besides, if by some chance I was wrong, I’ll just bring us back to Ponyville. A worried look appeared on Dash’s face. “Will it hurt? I don’t wanna damage my beautiful wings and fur,” she asked, spreading her wings and brushing her fur to prove her point. “No, it won't hurt. Not for five seconds, at least,” Twilight mumbled that last part so as to not worry the Pegasus when the time came. At that moment, they heard a loud “CRACK,” as if somepony stepped on a twig. “What was that?” shouted Twilight, “I think I heard something. Did you hear it?” She was panicking slightly, believing that something was stalking them. “Hear what?” replied Rainbow. “I didn’t hear anything. Chill out, Twi,” she said, remembering the last time Twilight freaked out over nothing. “First of all, don’t tell me to chill. Second of all, I’m not paranoid, I’m just cautious,” Twilight shot back, still looking for the source of the noise. “To me, that's being paranoid, Twilight,” said Rainbow Dash. “That’s not being paranoid, just cautious!” shouted Twilight, becoming annoyed. “No, I’m not!” Twilight shouted back, her eyes beginning to glow with fury. The wind began blowing furiously around them. “Whoa, whoa,” said Rainbow, trying to calm Twilight, “alright, you’re not paranoid. Just calm down before you hurt somepony.” The wind became calm and Twilight's eyes stop glowing. “Sorry Rainbow I just didn't really get any sleep today doing spells earlier, and now this,” she said, calming down. “I didn't get any sleep either but you don't see me trying to kill you,” said Rainbow Dash, anger still apparent in her voice. “Sorry Rainbow, you just made me angry, and I lost control,” Twilight said, apologizing to her friend. “Whatever, let’s just get those flowers,” Rainbow returned, attempting to end the conversation. “Are you mad at me?” the unicorn asked, a worried tone present in her soft voice. “No I'm fine. Let's just go get the flowers already, I'm getting tired,” Rainbow pleaded, her hooves become sore from walking. “No you’re not. I can definitely tell that you are upset with me. Tell me, are you?” asked Twilight. “ALRIGHT TWILIGHT, YOU WANNA KNOW IF I'M UPSET WIH YOU... YES I AM!” shouted Rainbow Dash. Twilight had no words to say so she just hung her head down in shame for almost killing her friend out of anger. Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and calmed down. She looked up to face Twilight and spoke. “I'm sorry Twilight. You just made me mad,” said Rainbow, consoling her distressed friend. “I'm sorry, Dash. How about this: after we drop off the flowers we'll get some to eat on me,” Twilight offered earning a smile from Rainbow. “Huh, maybe you’re cool after all,” the Pegasus said, earning a small chuckle from Twilight. “I thought eggheads can't be cool,” Twilight joked, giving Rainbow a what kind of look?. “Don't push your luck, Twilight,” said Rainbow, clearly not impressed. After what seemed like hours, or days, or years to her just searching for those stupid flowers, she finally spoke up. “Ugh!” she shouted, “Why did I even bother to come if I knew that we’d be walking so much!?” “It doesn’t have to be boring,” said Twilight, “you just have to pretend you’re on an adventure like Daring Doo. Besides, it’s only been 2 hours, so stop whining. We’re almost ther-” Unfortunately, Twilight had not noticed the large sinkhole in front of her. Before she could let out a scream, Twilight fell into the blackness. “ TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT, YOU ALRIGHT? ANSWER ME TWILGHT!” Rainbow Dash shouted, worried that Twilight was hurt, or worse dead. Five minutes passed; still no response from Twilight. So, Rainbow decided to do what she did best: save the day while looking awesome as she did so. Rainbow Dash plunged into the big, dark hole that had swallowed up her friend, using her wings to soften the landing. When she reached the bottom, she could not see anything mere inches away from her face. She decided to walk forwards, calling out to Twilight whilst holding out her hoof occasionally to avoid walking into a dead end. During her search, a bright light came up from nowhere and landed on one of the walls. A mysterious etching on the wall caught Rainbow’s eye, prompting her to move closer to investigate. It appeared to be a drawing of two ponies held captive inside what appeared to be a heart. Both looked as if they were kissing. “ Ewww gross, what sick kind of weirdo would draw this?” (Rainbow averted her eyes; she was not the type to fall for all that “mushy” stuff. All she cared about was action and adventure. “Twilight, please tell me you’re okay,” Rainbow pleaded. Five minutes had pass and there was still no sign of her studious friend. “Here twily twily.” (She paused, realizing what she just said and snapped back into her old self.) I gotta find Twilight before something bad happens to her, or worse…” she said to herself. Suddenly, Rainbow her a familiar voice speak up close by. “Uggggh, my head…Where am I? Rainbo-” “TWILIGHT”! shouted a happy Rainbow Dash, cutting Twilight off. “Rainbow Dash? Where ar-” Twilight tried to ask but was once again cut short, not by a fall or a shout but by a massive bone crushing hug. Pinkie Pie would have been proud of Rainbow, very proud. “I was so worried, Twi! Don’t you ever scare me like that again!” cried Rainbow, still holding Twilight in a tight embrace.” “C- an-'t br-ea-the,” Twilight gasped, trying desperately to regain her breath. “Oops. Heh, sorry ‘bout that,” Rainbow apologized, blushing furiously and trying to maintain her dignity. “Ow, be more careful next time!” shouted Twilight, making sure no bones had been crushed. “Heh, sorry again.” Rainbow rubbed the back of her head with her hoof. “Do you know where we are?” she asked while examining her surroundings, “I’m kinda lost here so use your egghead stuff and get us outta here.” “I don't know where we are...let me see.”Twilight’s horn lit up with a magical “Cool, not awesome, but cool,” said Dash, trying to hide the amazement in her voice.” “Well, we’re definitely in a cave. However, I can’t help but feel that this place looks familiar. Where have I seen this cave?” Twilight contemplated as her magical light chased the darkness away. The cave itself was small, with walls that were covered in various drawings. As they examined the cave, Rainbow felt a chill travel through her body. “Wow, it’s so cold in here. Twilight, can we go? I’m starting to freeze in here.” She rubbed her forelegs to prove her point. “Just a minute, Rainbow. I just need to remember where I saw this cave.” She rubbed her chin in contemplation, trying to figure out why this place was familiar to her. Finally, after a few minutes of thinking, she came to a conclusion. “THAT’S IT!” she shouted in realization, scaring the cold Pegasus next to her. “WHAT THE HAY, TWILIGHT? YOU SCA-” Rainbow quickly shut her mouth and cleared her throat, “I mean, I thought there was a monster attacking us.” “Sorry Rainbow. It's just that I know where I saw this cave,” Twilight said. “K’ay, so where are we?” Rainbow asked, confused at Twilight’s declaration. “I read about it in a book about on Equestrian History,” Twilight explained, “apparently, two ponies died in this very cave. As the story goes, they were trying to escape something. What it was and why it was chasing them was never explained, unfortunately.” She made her way to one of the walls and began feeling it with her hooves. “What are you doing?” asked Rainbow Dash, curious as to why Twilight was feeling the wall. “The book said there was supposed to be a drawing on this very wall, but where is it?” Twilight pondered, trying to find the words. “If I'm correct there should be a drawing right..... here,” Twilight said tapping on the wall with the drawing Rainbow Dash had seen earlier. “I saw that drawing. Too mushy for me,” Rainbow Dash said while making a puking face. “The book said there should be some words written on this very wall but I don't see it where it could be.” Twilight continued looking for the hidden message, but to no avail. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash began shouting in delight. “HERE, TWILIGHT, I FOUND IT!” she cried, tapping on a spot on the wall. Twilight immediately galloped towards where Dash was standing. She stopped at where Rainbow was standing to see the words and read them aloud. “‘Whoever should read shall release me from my heartless prison’,” Twilight read, confused about its meaning. “What’s that even mean? Twilight?” Rainbow asked, but was promptly ignored by Twilight. “‘Release, heartless prison’...what do those that mea- Twilight pondered, but was cut off by the appearance of a bright red light and a sound similar to an explosion. Rainbow Dash was thrown against the wall hard and was incapacitated, her limp body falling towards the ground. Twilight was thrown onto the ground, blood now streaming from a wound on her head. It hurt terribly, as if something was trying to tear its way out. Her breathing became more labored and her eyes were becoming heavier. Just before she passed out, she glanced towards where Dash had fallen. She did not seem to be badly injured, but she was definitely out cold. Suddenly, her view was blocked by a tall figure standing in front of her face. She looked up and came face to face with a sickening grin. Everything went black. *Gasped* Twilight woke up sweating trying to regain her breath. Twilight felt weigh on her chest she looked down. To see a cyan Pegasus with a Rainbow mane slumbering peacefully on her chest. She was smiling her hoofs wrap around Twilight snuggle her muzzle into Twilight's lavender scent. It truly was a cute scene. It made her think about the kiss, what princess told her, her fear. “Maybe I'm just being parnoid again.” she looked to the clock it was 8:00am. “Maybe I need to take that chance.” Twilight had feelings for Rainbow before the kiss. She just kept it on the down low because she didn't want to put so many lives at stake for her own selfish needs. But when Rainbow kiss her it made the feelings heighten at a level she can no longer hold on to. That made her afraid, afriad that might one day they break up. And the Elements loss it's magic because no loyal or magic element is present. “Twilight” Rainbow whisper. She woke up when Twilight was talking to herself but remain quiet. “I'll take that chance if you will.” It was now or never. Even if she say she still want to be friends. Rainbow wouldn't take it way and leave town making the elements vabule. Or Risk one of them breaking up making the elements loss it's power by one element not representing it's power. she brought Rainbow muzzle to muzzle making a tight space between their lips. “Yes” Then she kissed Rainbow breaking the space between. And that was Twilight's confession. > First date > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- May memories comfort you in your time of death, sorrow and anger. Share the memories with your loved one. Death was among them, touching their coats with is cold wet hands. Watching them as the water grew larger waiting to take their lives. Twilight and Rainbow dash was cuddle up together listening to each other soft breathing sniffing the scent of the water that brushed them. “Warning submarine is critical overflowing, Escape using pods in the backroom.” the alarm sounded through the sub. “Twilight.” said Rainbow. “I really was hoping this just be simple a mission.” She locked eyes with her mare friend. “I wanted to spend my whole life loving you.” She paused for a moment her eyes started to stream with tears her lips started to quiver. “But now I can't because I'm not going be here to do it.” She buried her face into Twilight's chest staining it with her tears. “Shhhsh.”Twilight brushed Rainbow's mane comforting her with her lavender scent and soft chest. “Rainbow we'll get out of this.” Rainbow looked up staring into Twilight's comforting eyes. “And the love you given me is like you been in my whole life.”she nuzzle her mare friend. Rainbow felt better, her mare friend was here to comfort her and loved her. After a long silence that filled the air, Rainbow broke it with a question Twilight knew was coming. “Do you think Celstia going come and saved us?” Twilight knew her teacher too well for her just to abandoned them like this. But she feared that it will be too late and they already be dead will rescue arrives. “Yes, I just hope help comes fast.” “Me too I hope- A growl from Rainbow stomach irrupted her. “She gets here cause I'm starved!” A growl from Twilight agree with Rainbow. Twilight blushed in embarrassment from the sudden reaction. “Me too” she muttered. “Hey Twilight, Remember our first date?” Twilight rubbed her chin trying to remembered what Rainbow was talking about. “Yeah, we was in canterlot right?” Rainbow nodded. “Don't lie, I am good at first dates.” Dash said with pride. Twilight rolled her eyes. First Date Days After Twilight confess to Rainbow, It's been a lot of spending time together between them. Rainbow After she finished cloud busting, she would go see Twilight and they'll read a daring doo book together. Twilight would set up a picnic at Pony's peak Like a date sort of. So Rainbow can up with the idea of them traveling to canter lot for a romantic dinner. Wait! I know what you're thinking the Rainbow dash , doing romantic dinners! Well even loved makes you do stuff you hate. Twilight suggest they wear dresses for the occasions, At first Rainbow argue to go without the dresses. But you know Twilight won't drop an agruement, So they went with the dresses made from Rarity and took off to canterlot. “So where you taking me?” asked Twilight. She was seated near Rainbow on the train to canterlot. “I'm taking you to your doom! Rainbow joked. But Twilight wasn't smiling nor laughing so she cleared her throat. Can't tell you, I'll have to show you.” Rainbow was about to nuzzle Twilight, but was stop with a hoof to the face. “Nope you don't tell me. she crossed her arms. You don't get to nuzzle me.” Hearing this Rainbow threw her hoofs in the air and yelled. “COME ON!” before bringing them down. Twilight hoofs remain crossed until Rainbow tell her where they was going when they get to canterlot. “Fine! Rainbow cursed wanting Twilight badly. We're going to a restaurant OK!” She crossed her arms and groan. Twilight lean in and kissed Rainbow on the muzzle and whisper. “Was that so hard” then sat back down. “Next stop the canterlot palace, I hope you enjoy taking the pony express. Please take trash or items with you when you board off the train, Thank you.” the train operator sounded through the train. Twilight thought, “I have bad feeling something bad is going to happen.” Rainbow thought, “Your the best at first dates nothing bad is going to happen.” > I have a planned! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The lingering light was obliterated by the rapidly falling night. The once salmon and purple sky transformed into a vast expanse of jet-black that engulfed canter lot. A canopy of luminous stars materialized amongst the ocean of blackness. Some were dull, merely flickering into existence every now and then, but there was an adequate amount of shimmering stars to illuminate the dark, moonless night. The lake glistened, mirroring the dazzling assemblage of glittering stars and the luminescence from the restaurants and designer boutiques that lined the marina. The faint wind brushed against the water’s surface, the ripples ruffled the stillness of the surface, and shattered the reflection of the harbor. The train took longer than Rainbow expect. Twilight had to wake her up, because of her loud snoring was making it pretty embarrassment to be around. If Rainbow wanted to make this night perfect for Twilight. everything had to be just right, and so far the night wasn't going very swell for either one of them. “Come on Twi, it just across the street,” said Rainbow, flying towards the restaurant across from the train station. “I'm coming!” exclaim Twilight, as she galloped beside Rainbow. “If you just slow down, and let me regain my breath!” “No, time!” Rainbow were already at the door holding it ”Come on Slow punk!” she shouted. Twilight finally reached the door. “Who...knew...you were...such a lady,” she said breathlessly, trying to regain her breath. “Ha, Ha very funny,” said Rainbow, rolling her eyes. True she wasn't a lady like Rarity, and intended for it to stay that way. Once inside the resurtant. Eyes were all on Rainbow&Twilight as if their were Princess celstia arriving here. “Rainbow, every pony staring at us,” whisper Twilight, putting on a fake smile, and her eyes darting around nervously. “Phhff,” Rainbow waved her hoof. “Twilight, don't worry about them, worry about me OK,” reassured Rainbow, staring into those lavender eyes. “o-OK,” Twilight sturred, she felt calm staring into those beautiful magma eyes. Making Rainbow chuckle. “Yeah, I have that effect on mares,” Rainbow joked, Received a jabbed on the side from the lavender unicorn. “Ouch Twi! What was that for?” Twilight shrugged, “Just felt like doing it,” Rainbow and Twilight walked up to the waiter, who were behind a stand. “How may I helped you?” he asked, with a smile. “I believed, I have a table here,” Rainbow said, with a smug grin ,and showing off in front of Twilight. “Name please?” he asked. “Rainbow Dash.” He started looking in the book for her name. “I'm sorry there's no Rainbow Dash here,” he said. “What!” she shouted, then took the book from him to see for herself. “But I made a reservation here,” He took the book, and shook his head. I'm sorry ma'am, but you have to wait until tomorrow,” “Pony feathers,” she scolded, she turned back to see Twilight grinning at her waiting patiently. She must been daydreaming, and not heard the bed news. Rainbow couldn't ruined this night for Twilight. No she had to fix this problem. She turned her attention back to the waiter who were still smiling. “I'm so sorry then I say Rainbow dash, I meant,” she tried to think of one of the names she saw in the book. Fire lazed Yeah Fire lazed” “You're Fire lazed,” he question, studying her looks to see if she were indeed Fire lazed. “My apologizes, this way,” he said, leading them to their table. “Maybe I'm not the best at first dates,” she said to herself. Lucky she haven't told Twilight what she has just done, and the other times she screw up at first dates.
