When the elements of harmony were created, there was another one with them. The element of Darkness which was hidden from Equestria for generations. Now the element grows strong and Equestria is in danger.
Iron Will and Rainbow Dash Set out on a journy to find out the truth about the element of Darkness.
This is my first fic from way before. It is trash.
Every pony knows the legend of the elements of harmony, which were used to banish Nightmare moon. It is a wide known ponytale but there is a part which stays hidden. Where did the elements of harmony come from? Who made them?
Princess Celestia is one of the few ponies who survived these times. She remembers the birth of elements as she was one of its creators, but the truth about their creation was to be hidden for the sake of Equestria.
Long ago before the eternal night was brought in Equestria by Nightmare Moon, before king Sombra clouded Crystal Empire in eternal darkness, before the chaos reign of Discord there were 7 mighty alicorns who used their magic for the greater good. These alicorns were the mightiest mages that Equestria has ever seen and among them were Celestia and Luna.
These mighty alicorns were troubled for the faith of Equestria. They knew that they were not immortal and could not bare the thought of Equestria without their protection.
One day Celestia came up with an idea. She saw a solution to this. One day the 7 alicorns gathered to create magical artifacts which would hold the combined power of the 7 and could only be used by those whose heart is pure. Now they could rest asure that Equestria shall always have a protection.
During this time one of the alicorns was corrupted by the great evil spirit. The spirit's name was Darel. This spirit was one of the darkest and most evil forces in Equestria, but ir didn't have the physical body. Being the great deciver the spirit has hidden itself inside one of the alicorns and came up with an evil plan.
In the moment of truth when the 7 combined their magical powers to create the elements of harmony the spirit took control over the alicorn and the whole spell of creation went horribly wrong. Instead of six elements there were seven and the seventh element was named the element of darkness.
The alicorns tried to use their magic to destroy the element but it was too strong. It had the combined magical power of the 7 alicorns and the spirit of darkness itself was sucked into the amulet. The elements of harmony were given to soon to be princesses Luna and Celestia and the element of darkness was hidden away and banished frome Equestria. Even Luna and Celestia were not told where it was banished. Only the five alicorns knew, but now none of them are alive.
The time went on, generations passed, empires have risen and fallen, and the element of darkness became forgotten. Only Celestia and Luna know this tale now.
With time the horrible thing has happened. The ancient banishing spell grew weak and the lord of darkness began to break free from the its control. Using his deceiving magic Darel lured ponies through all of Equestria in fruitless attempts to find the element and free him. Darel thought that ponies were weak and worthless and so he found a new puppet to ensure his plans come true, the minotaur Iron Will.
Iron Will woke up in his small room, which was filled with posters of himself and some motivational books. He got up, cracked open a fresh cold cider and sat down in a big armchair. Suddenly he found himself again remembering his favorite ponytale about the element of darkness which granny Will liked to tell him when he was little.
Iron Will had this weird feeling inside that something was going to happen. In fact he wanted something special to happen. The mighty minotaur was really bored with his job and always had a feeling that he was wasting his life.
Being a minotaur he possessed and immense strength and endurence and he himself was also very brave and assertive. Iron Will knew that he is destined for something more than just assertiveness lessons. He always wanted to be a great hero defeating huge monsters and saving Equestria.
Suddenly he noticed that there was a big and black two sided axe, lying in the center of the room. the axe was big enough to fit the minotaur, which is really rare for this places. it was black two sided and razor sharp. the handle was wrapped in some kind of dark cloth and there were special places for the fingers.
Iron Will stood up and slowly came up to the axe looking confused. he took the axe by the handle and realized that it perfectly fits him in every was. He also saw some strange symbols on the each side of the axe but he could not understand them.
As he sat on the couch holding the axe he suddenly heard a loud and dark voice in his head.
"Bathe the Axe in the Dragon's heart and claim your reward."
Iron Will confusingly thought to himself: "Whew i should really stop drinking so much cider......I should go and have some fresh air"
The minotaur exited the building and went to check his male. The weather was majestic and the ponies were all busy with their work. Iron Will took a deep breath and started thinking. He realized that even though he has been staying in ponyville for more than a month now, he doesn't have any friends, but that was not the thing that bothered him, no. He wanted adventures and not this boring life in ponyville.
In a moment instead of the sunny day it became dark. Iron Will looked up and he couldn't believe himself. it was a huge dragon flying above ponyville and blocking the sun with its enormous body. The minotaur was shocked and dazzled. But the dragon was not flying by, it was landing right at the centre of ponyville, easily crushing the city hall building with it's body.
Now that the dragon landed Iron Will could really see the dragon in all his grace. The Dragon was huge even by dragon standards. he had two huge golden horns on his head. His red skin was shining and reflecting the sun, his eyes were Yellow and it seemed like he could kill a pony just by looking at him, and his nails and fangs were golden yellow and razor sharp.
Every pony at ponyville were either hiding or running away. When the dragon saw a pack of ponies running away, he fierecly breathed Blue Fire at them and in an instant there was only a pile of ash. The dragon smiled with his shining white Teeth.
Iron Will could not hear the screaming and terrified cries for help, he could only hear the voice in his head saying the same phrase again and again: "Bathe the Axe in the Dragon's heart and claim your reward. The minotaur quickly got the axe out of his house and when he got out of the house again he saw that the dragon was standing at the same place and looked directly at him, like he was only waitin for him to get the axe.
As soon as the dragon saw this axe it flew as high as the sun and lunged itself on Iron Will. The minotaur remembered all his assertiveness lessons and all his dreams of becoming a hero and squeezed the axe in his hand.
As the Dragon was closing in Iron Will jumped on him and seized his horn. the dragon flew high again and it was unimaginably hard not to fall from him. The dragon began shaking his head and the minotaur flew off the horn and started falling, and the dragon quickly tried to swallow him as the minotaur grabbed the axe with his both hands and dodging the bite of the dragon landed on his nose and with a swift and quick attack cut one of his eyes. The dragon screamed in pain as Iron Will was falling to his death only to be caught by Rainbow Dash.
"Whew you are a life saver there pony,"- said Iron Will Riding the pegasus.
" The name is Rainbow Dash, but what the hay were you thinking going off to fight the dragon all by yourself?"
" I admit it was pretty stupid but hey, you were here to save me,"- Smiled Iron Will, " Listen Rainbow Dash this dragon is very strong but my axe seems to cut him like butter. By myself i will be defeated quickly but together we can save ponyville."
" Sounds like a plan,"- shouted Rainbow Dash.
"Fly me to his wing Rainbow."
As they closed in on dragon's wing Iron Will Jumped in dragons back. The Dragon was shaking and screaming as his eye bled, but the minotaur cut a hole in the dragons back to hold on. Iron WIll Crawled to the base of the dragon's wing he started cutting off this wing. The dragon shouted and started Spitting fire all over ponyville. In a few moments the wing was cut off and the dragon started falling. Iron Will jumped off the dragon screaming: " RAINBOOOOW,"- and in an instant he was caught by a fast blur. the huge dragon fell into the great mountain near ponyville.
Rainbow Dash safely landed in ponyville a part of which was only ashes now. Iron Will was covered in dragon blood and looked unconscious.
" ALRIGHT AWESOME!!!!Hey you alright there Willy?"- Said Rainbow Dash, but the Iron Will didn't answer.
Rainbow Dash shook Iron Will and tried to wake him but he remained silent. Soon the minotaur was taken to the hospital by ponies.
Slowly opening his eyes, Iron Will saw that he was in a hospital bed and also he saw something pleasant. Just yesterday he thought that he needed only adventures and not friends, but now when he saw Rainbow Dash sitting next to him he got that warm feeling inside that he doesn't usually experience often. He sure liked it.
"Hey, I sure am glad you are awake,"- Gladly said Dashie with a smile.
"Hello to you too, so how long was I out?"- Tiredly whispered Iron Will.
"About a couple of days,"- Rainbow continued looking at him smiling.
"Where is the dragon?"
"The dragon's body you mean,"- Said Dash with special joy on her face, "It's corpse lies in the mountains near Ponyville , Why?"
"Listen.....I am really thankful for your help, and i could not have done it without you."- As Iron Will said it Rainbow Dash seemed to be extra pleased with herself, " BUT, there is still something I have to do and I have to do it now. Sorry but I do not want to drag you into this."- Said Iron Will while trying to get off the bed but realizing that he is too weak now.
"Not in your condition, but if you have some laundry or other chores I can take care of them while you are in the hospital," - Iron Will looked very glad and happy to have such a friend for the first time.
"Remember I had an axe?"- Rainbow nodded, "Well where is it now?"
"It is back at your house. I have put it there myself,"- Said Rainbow Dash looking proud.
"Okay then I will tell you everything when i come out of the hospital, I am way too tired now."- Iron Will rolled to his side and Rainbow carefully exited the room.
A few days have passed as Iron Will got better and better each day. There were two things that he could not stop thinking about when he was at the hospital. The thought of this dark voice and the thought of Rainbow Dash being his friend. But while he got shivers from the first thought, the second thought made him smile and feel alot better in an instant.
After he got discharged from the hospital, Iron Will immediately went to his house. When he quickly opened the door he was in for a surprise.
"SURPRIIIIIISE" - Screamed everypony.
Iron Will looked confused. His house was full of smiling and laughing ponies. It was a surprise "thank you" party for saving ponyville. His room was full of cupcakes, candy and all other sorts of sweets. It was one of the greatest and most pleasant nights in Iron Will's life. Ponies were dancing and singing, eating sweets and telling jokes. There were lots of presents too, one pony as a prank even gave a poison joke to our hero, which made him a small and scrawny minotaur for a few hour. Luckily this prankster also brought an antidote. It was surely a night which Iron Will didn't want to end.
As our hero celebrated his victory the forces of evil grew stronger. It was a silent night at the Canterlot castle. The night which was guarded by princess Luna. The princess as usual was standing at the balcony and enjoyed the view of Canterlot resting peacefully at night. What she didn't expect that this night will not go in history as the silent and peaceful one. In a moment Luna could not believe her own eyes. The moon's color turned into bloody red and the mysterious pony figure flew from the centre of the shiny red moon directly to the princess. This figure did not have any wings it just flew. As Luna backed into her room, the figure landed on the balcony.
This pony was wearing a dark cloak which covered his all body and the hood which spreaded darkness on his face. On the top of the hood he wore a big and rusty crown with old and dusty jewels in it. Only his red glowing red eyes and a wide smile with shark teeth could be seen. Where ever he stepped the floor started to rot and decay.
"I envy you beautiful princess"- Said the cloaked pony smiling and looking at the moon, " You get to guard such a beautiful and peaceful night."
"Who are you? What have you done with the moon?!?"- Luna shouted.
"Oh nothing special. Only a message."- The cloaked pony started slowly closing in on Luna.
"What message?"- Said Luna while she continued retreating farther from him.
Suddenly every door was sealed shut and every light in the room was extinguished. The dark figure slowly cornered Luna.
"Back away or I will have to blast you!!!"- Luna's horn started shining as the sparks started flying off it.
"Go ahead make my day"- Mysterious pony said with an evil grin on his face.
When the big spark was going to fly off Luna's horn an unimaginable thing has happened. In an instant her horn was blown into a thousand small pieces. Luna was shaking and could not move, she was frozen with fear.
"You are my message"- Said the mysterious pony as his cloak became bigger and bigger. Soon Luna was all wrapped in his dark cloak and her scream could be heard all over the Canterlot castle.
