It was now Spike's B-day Party & it was in full swing! Spike had received a present from everypony except Twilight & Lyra so far!
"Happy Birthday Spike!" Said Lyra!
All of them knew how Lyra felt about Spike, they all knew how she looked at Spike, longing to pick stuff-up with her own appendages!
"So Lyra, what's your present for me?" spike asked "Please don't let it be gloves again, I got plenty!"
"No, I want to be your marefriend, that's my present for you!"
Spike was shocked, but he decided to except it since Rarity has somepony! So the birthday boy hugged Lyra & said...
"Okay, you can be my marefriend, but I must ask you why exactly you love me later!
"Okay!"
Now he turned to Twilight.
"So, what did you get me?" he asked
Twilight walked over to Shining Armor and said...
"I got you a brother. This guy right here!"
"EH!?" everypony shouted
"What!?" said Shining Armor in shock as well!
"YAY!" Spike shouted with glee!
Spike dashed to shining & gave him a big hug!
"Twilight, no wonder your my B.P.F.F.!"
"What?" asked Twilight
"Best Pony Friend Forever!"
"Aw, thank you Spike!"
"Twilight, you have some explaining to do." said Shining Armor
"I'll explain after the party's over!" She replied

"And that's why I did that!" Said Twilight. "Please do-it, please be his brother, your the only one in our family who he rarely interacted in when I was a filly & he really wants a brother!"
"Then why not marry Flash Sentry & have a foal with him?" Asked Shining
"How many times must I go through this, I don't have a crush on him!" Said Twilight, who was blushing fiercely!
"B-but!" Shining was trying to find a reason why he can't be Spike's brother
"I think it's a wonderful idea!" Said Cadence! "Spike is such a sweetheart & I should know, I foalsat for him a few times!"
"Yeah, Spike is a true to the heart friend!" Pinkie added
"The darling is very understanding, he endured when I told everypony about my Coltfriend!" Rarity added
"He's the only one I know who can chug more punch than me! He's awesome in his own way!" added Rainbow! "A true bro!"
"He's great with at watching my animal friends when we're away!" Fluttershy added
"Ah don't see anything wrong with him!" added Applejack
"...B-but he's..."
"He's what? a different species? Racist jerk!" snapped Lyra
"N-no, no, no, not because he's a different species, it's because I can't picture myself as his Big brother!" Said Shining " I just don't see it & besides I'm your Big brother Twily!"
Then the mane 6, Cadence & Lyra all gave him either a leer or the puppy eyes! it was...1,2, HEY, Celestia & Luna can't join in! So anyway, it was 8 vs. one & yeah, the winner were the 8!
"Okay-okay fine, I'll be his brother!"
"Good, now have lots of fun with him tomorrow!" Said Twilight
"Alright, I'll be in the guest room! Have fun with your slumber party girls, night."
"Goodnight." they all said!
The next day, Spike, Shining Armor and Lyra were In the park & Lyra watched as Spike Shining played tag.
"Hey, Spike wait-up! (Man, he's one fast purple ball of energy!)" Shining thought "(Wait a minute...)"
*Flashback!*
"Wheeeeee!" yelled a nine year old Twilight, running through Canterlot park
"Hey, Twily wait-up! (Man, she's one fast purple ball of energy!)" Shining thought.
*End of Flashback!*
"(WHA-what was that? Did Spike's playfulness just... make me remember a time when...no! It's just as Twily said in her textbooks, sometimes the brain just plays tricks on you! I can't see Spike as my brother!)" he thought
"Hey, Onii-chan, you stopped chasing me!" Spike called out!
"You've been reading Twilight's foreign language textbooks have you?" Shining asked
"Actually, I've been reading all of Twilight's textbooks, and wow, I actually understand it all, I actually graduated college at age 8!"
"Wow kid, your a genius! (wait, another flashback?)"
*Flashback!*
"Guess who just graduated college at age 8!" said Twilight's parents to a teenage Shining Armor!
"No way, really? kid, your a genius!"
*Flashback over!*
"(A-another...Flashback of Twily, because of...him! He's really making me relive great memories...no, no, no, he's just a family friend, he's not exactly family! Your just doing this because he needs a big bro figure, yeah that's it, a big brother figure!) Okay Spi..Spike, where'd you go?"
"Over here, you zoned out for so long, that my feet started to get tired of standing-up, so I decided to sit next to have a tickle fight with Lyra!"
Shining turned to see Spike sitting next to his marefriend Lyra!
"H-hey, you guys want Ice cream, there's a guy pushing a cart behind you? Don't worry I'll pay." Shining said, while walking over to them.
"Okay." Lyra said
"Okay big bro!" Spike said
So they all got ice cream & Spike got some ice cream all over his mouth.
"Oh dear, you got Ice cream all over your face, here, I'll clean it." Lyra then levitated a napkin & started wiping his face!
"(Again?)" Shining thought
*Flashbacks!*
So, an 8 year-old Shining Armor & his mom have ice cream after playing so much!
"Oh dearie, you got ice cream all over your face, don't worry, I'll wipe it off!"
"Thanks mom!"
*Flashback ends*
"(Now he's reminding me of me? What is this kid?)"
"Hey Shining, your zoning out again." said Lyra. "Does he always do this?"
"No, this is new, he's never zoned out this much!"
Shining looked at Spike, he wondered if he should be Spike's brother, but there's only 1 obstacle in his way! What's that 1 obstacle standing in his way you ask? Well I'll tell you! A long time ago in his senior year of high school, a dragon attacked Cadence! Thankfully, The royal guard took care of that monster, Shining saved Cadence, but it left a traumatic look on his face! Ever since that day, Shining started to hate dragons & swore to kill any he sees, but when Twilight returned home with Spike, he did what ever he could to kick him out, but did it secretly, so when they kicked Spike out, he'd be alone with him to kill him. But his family didn't mind him, that only want him more! But as the years went by, Shining started to have mixed feelings for Spike. He still can't trust him, but he has to try, for Twilight's sake!
Meanwhile...
"So that's why he can't except Spike as his brother." said Twilight
"Yes, I could just remember the traumatized face he had, I worry what he'll do sometimes if he's ever alone with Spike." Cadence replied back.
"At least Lyra is with them, making sure Shining doesn't hurt Spike." said Pinkie Pie
Meanwhile...
Spike, Shining Armor & Lyra were just finishing their day at the park with a walk, till...
"So this is were you've been, traitor!" said an angry voice, then Garble, & his 2 minions Violet Flash & Boiler appeared. "We're gonna kill you for turning your back on us Dragons!"
"Who are you guys?" Asked Shining! "(Turned his back on his own species?)" he thought.
"It's Garble & his stooges, who tried to teach me how to be like them, but I realized, that I'm not like them, I don't have the personality of a dragon, I have the personality of a pony!" Spike said, readying himself!
"(P-personality of a pony?)" What Spike just said, helped Shining gain the confidence he needed to trust Spike.
"Alright boys, let's kick Spike's ass!" Garble commanded
"Wait, If you want him, then you're going to need to get past me!" Said Lyra
"And me, I wont let you hurt my little brother!" Said Shining Armor in a great courage!
"Bring it!" Said Garble

Ch.3: Shining Armor vs. Garble! The Fight for Family!

So now the fight starts off with Shining Armor levitating Garble, then slamming him hard, onto the ground! Then Garble shoots fireballs, which were sent back with a deflection spell! Lyra used her hand magic to create 2 giant fists that punched Boiler & Violet Flash so hard, that they were knocked into next month! Garble came at Shining with his claws, but Shining countered with a good hard buck, which Garble blocked with his claws! Garble then jumped over Shining, but Garble was grabbed by the left leg, then slammed onto the ground once more! Shining felt he was winning, & Garble feared he was losing, so he decided, to cheat, by stealing some coal, from a grill that a family were using in the park and then he threw the coal & ignited it!
"Look out!" said shining.
Him & Lyra dodged all the coal, then they looked around & noticed Garble was out of sight!
"HEEEEELP!!!" Yelled Spike.
They turned to see Garble in the air, holding Spike by the spines!
"LET GO OF MY HANDY MAN!" Shouted Lyra , who very enraged
"LET GO OF MY BROTHER!" shouted Shining Armor!
"Hah, you think I'd listen to ponies? You are all soft & lame, also, I can't believe you turned your back on your own species!"
Garble was about to rip Spike to shreds until Shining Armor used his levitation, to rocket himself at Garble & stab his chest with his horn!
"Hurk!" Garble grunted, as his eyes started to close, showing, he has died!
Then Shining put Spike on his back & they levitated safely onto the ground!
"Are you hurt little brother?" Asked Shining.
"Nope, I'm A-OK big brother." Answered Spike
"Oh thank goodness your okay Spike!" Said Lyra
"Yeah, I'm fine!" Said Spike. till suddenly, he was levitated over to Lyra & they had their 1st kiss!
"Thanks for saving my man Shining Armor."
"No prob, anything for my brother!" Said Shining Armor. "(Turned his back on kinship, for his friends. Looks like I can now fully trust Spike & welcome him to the family!) Alright Spike, lets head home!"
"Okay, see you later Lyra!" Spike said, then blew a kiss afterwards.
"See you Spike!" Said Lyra, who returned the air kiss!
Later...
"Hey, welcome back guys how was your day?" Asked Twilight.
Meanwhile...
"Welcome home Lyra, I heard you spent the day with your new boyfriend & his older brother, wanna tell me about it?" Asked Bon-bon
"Gladly!" said all 3.
The End, now look out, because once you turn around, you'll either have to dodge the pirate cannon or the party cannon & your going to get blasted once you dodge the 1st one!
