"Celestia, can I have an ice cream bar?" Luna asked, directly in her older sister's ears. Celestia looked over at Luna with a My-gosh-why-can't-you-SHUT-UP? kind of look. "Fine. Don't ask me for ANYTHING else tonight Luna." Celestia said, obviously tired out from a long day of working, sun-raising, and trying to get her sister to do SOMETHING other than bothering her. "Yay!" Luna said and she trotted off. She got it and plopped down on the black leathery couch in her room. She turned on the TV, but all she got was static. "Celestia!" She said, distressed that she might miss the latest episode of her favorite show ever, My Little Human: Friendship is Normal. "Luna, figure it out." Celestia said. "I guess I'll just read." Muttered Luna as she plucked a book off the shelves lining her walls. She sat down again, and read until it was time to sleep. She had over the years gained the ability to raise the moon in her sleep, thus ensuring plenty of time to annoy Celestia. She hopped up into her bed, bouncing up once on the dark blue covers that were dotted with silver stars. "Into bed, Luna." Said Celestia, as she came and tucked her in. "Night." Luna said as Celestia shut off the lights. The next morning, Luna was up and ready, sitting at table in the dining room. A moment later, Celestia came in, seating herself on the chair across from herself. "Good Morning, Luna." Said Celestia. "Morning!" Said Luna happily. "Today, you must go out into the city." Said Celestia. "What? I have to go into the city? Which one?!" Asked Luna, surprised at her sister. "Ponyville, you should be able to find a hobby, and some friends there." Celestia said. "Oh, okay then... I guess I can. But why?" Asked Luna, a nervous look in her eyes. "Reasons, more than I can count," Celestia said. "You leave after breakfast time, and after checking out Ponyville, you are free to go wherever you choose. Just please don't return till sundown." Celestia said, finishing the conversation. Luna stood near the front door, waiting for her sister. Celestia appeared a moment later, ready to shoo Luna out. "Find some friends, find a hobby. Just. Do. SOMETHING." Said Celestia, eager to get her out. "O-okay I'm ready." Said Luna, peering out the door. "Go, Luna, have fun." Celestia said, nudging her out. Luna gulped, and then took off. She flew for a while, flying quickly towards Ponyville. It had become quite a big city since the Mane 6. She eventually crashed to the ground. "So much for a smooth landing." She said, standing up and brushing herself off. she trotted down the street, looking for something that would catch her eye. Eventually, she stumbled upon a smallish building, titled "GamePony". Luna decided to go check it out, since she heard that Video Games might be a place to look for something to entertain her. Luna walked up and pushed open the door. Three ponies in the regular purple shirt and black collar GamePony uniform were standing at various places around the store. One of them looked over at her. "Hey! Look what we got here!" Said a yellow Pegasus with a blue mane, who was setting up a poster for a game called "Call of Pony: Modern Warmare 3". "Oh my! It's Princess Luna!" Gasped a bright blue unicorn with a white and bright blue mane who was putting games away. "What brings you out here? And why to GamePony?" Asked a white unicorn with a blue mane and black and purple goggles who was sitting at the counter, chewing bubble gum and playing some sort of game on a hoofheld device. "O-oh, I sort of got kicked out of the castle for the day, y'know to find some friends and crap." Luna said, looking at the stacks of games around the room. "Oh," Laughed the white unicorn. "My name's Vinyl Scratch but, you can call me Vinyl if it floats your boat." Vinyl said. "Okay then, Vinyl." Luna laughed. "So, who are you?" Luna asked the bright blue unicorn. "Oh! I'm Lyra! Pleased to meet you!" Lyra said, vigorously shaking Luna's hoof. "I'm Raindrops. Good to see you here!" Said Raindrops, who then finished putting up the poster. "You looking for anything in particular?" Asked Vinyl, gesturing to rows of games on the shelves. "Oh, nothing really, I've never really played a video game before." Luna admitted. "This is going to be fun." Said Vinyl, who apparently liked to teach ponies how to play. "Come to my house, I'll get Lyra and Raindrops to come too." Vinyl said. "Our shifts are almost over, in like an hour, I have all kinds of consoles and games I can show you how to play on. You wanna hang around for a bit?" Vinyl asked. "Yeah, sure." Luna said, although she could barely contain her excitement, she was starting to get some friends already! The hour passed quickly, as they chatted and finished working. Vinyl slammed open the door, muttered something as it smacked the building's side, and lead everypony to her car. It was a white one, with a few music notes on it, her license plate said: "Msic4evr" All of them piled into the car, which smelled of coffee and new car. After a bit of driving, they reached a house, it was your average house. It was two-stories, white, and had a decent sized garage. "Everypony out!" Said Vinyl. Everypony piled out, tripping over eachother's hooves. Vinyl led them inside, her house so far wasn't too bad. There was a large flat screen TV, a couple of couches, and a cabinet, full of games, movies, and giant stacks of CD's. On another side, there was a bookshelf. "I shall give Luna the Grand Tour!" Said Vinyl. The dining room was pretty average, table, chairs, etc. Her kitchen was also normal, a sink, dishwasher, oven, microwave, as well as a radio. Next, they went upstairs. Her room was painted a sky blue, had her bed, a bean bag chair, and another TV, as well as a small stack of games. "You haven't seen anything yet." Vinyl said with a wink. She trotted over to a room, and pushed open a door. Inside, the room had two side to side mattresses which bordered the back wall of the room, another TV and another shelf, with all her consoles and a few games, and a white fan in one corner."This is the room of all awesome rooms, my gaming room!" Vinyl said, gesturing at the room. "Tonight's gonna be sweet!" Vinyl said, rubbing her hooves together. > It's always a good time! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luna rubbed her hooves together, excited to learn more. "Okay, Vinyl, can we learn yet?" Luna asked, eagerness showing in her voice. "Yes, yes, be patient." Vinyl said, her horn beginning to glow. She levitated a small cartridge, with a gold colored sticker on the front of it. "This is the game to get just about anypony adjusted to gaming, at least for the PonyDS." Vinyl explained, holding the cartridge out to her. It said on it: "Ponymon HeartGold" With a picture of a silver and gold alicorn on it. "You are a ''Human" in the game and you catch these "Ponymon" Which are like these pony/creature things. It's really neat and it's a favorite of Lyra's. Probably because of the humans." Vinyl said with a laugh. "Oh hush! It's not just because of that!" Said Lyra defensively. "Oh brother." Raindrops said, with a dramatic eye roll. "Okay, so let's start with the basics, the really basic basics." Vinyl said, opening the PonyDS. "This is the start menu of a PonyDS. You need to tap this Icon here, it'll start your game." Vinyl said, pointing at an icon with the picture of the alicorn on it. "Okay, isn't this hard to do with hooves though?" Luna said, as she tapped the little Icon. A black screen appeared, causing Luna to jump backwards in surprise. "Is this supposed to happen?!" Luna asked. "Yes, calm yourself." Vinyl said, this time it was her turn to roll her eyes. Eventually, a colorful sky with the alicorn that had been appearing everywhere appeared, after it flew through the sky, dodging cliffs and mountains, then landing atop the word "Ponymon" in the center of the screen. "So, what do I do now?" Asked Luna, a puzzled expression on her face. "Tap the screen," Said Vinyl, "It takes you to the main screen where you can create and make a save file. You should probably do that now." Advised Vinyl, peering over Luna's shoulder. Luna tapped the screen, now growing excited. The screen had a save file, Wi-Fi configuration, and a Mystery Gift option. Luna chose save file. It went over to a character, standing in a room. suddenly, some other creature walked up to her. "Sweetie, you should hurry up to Gary! He's going to give you your Ponymon today!" Said the person. "How do I move her?" Asked Luna, looking at all the buttons. "Press this arrow here." Vinyl said, pointing at a button on the side. Eventually, they had gotten down the basics of the game, and Luna was bored. "Guys, I'm bored, and hungry. Not a good combo. It means double-no-fun!" Luna whined, putting her hooves over her eyes. "Don't worry, we'll go get food." Assured Vinyl. "But the problem is, where?" She said, with a glance at the others. "Can we go to Pony's Pizzeria? I bet Luna would enjoy the food there." Said Raindrops, finally saying something. "A Pizzeria? Sure! I'd love to go!" Said Luna happily. "But first I should call Celestia." Luna said, so that her sister wouldn't worry. "Okay, here's the phone. Call away!" Said Vinyl, levitating the phone to her. "Hey! Celestia! How are you?" Asked Luna once she got on the phone. "Oh, hey Luna, what's up?" Asked Celestia. "I found some friends, and a hobby! I think at least, but, can we go to dinner at Pony's Pizzeria?" Luna asked. "Oh! That's great! You may, have fun!" Said Celestia, who was secretly pumping her hoof up and down. So all of them piled into Vinyl's car, and went merrily on their way. Eventually, turning on a few smaller streets, they reached a large busy one, it was Mane street. So Vinyl got into the traffic, because it was the only way to get there. Eventually, they turned into a parking lot. The building was white, and in red and black letters said, "Pony's Pizzeria!" All of the ponies piled out again, this time, it was more graceful. "Alright, guys, what kind of pizza we orderin'?" Asked Vinyl. "Hmm, Deep dish pepperoni?" Suggested Lyra. "Oooh! Yeah! That sounds delicious!" Said Luna happily. "Deep dish pepperoni it is, come on guys!" Said Vinyl as she led them inside. Inside they went, and got their pizza. They sat down at the table, digging in to their meal, when suddenly, Raindrops got a mischievous grin and yelled out... "FOOD FIGHT!" "Raindrops! What are you doing!?" Screamed Vinyl as Raindrops catapulted a slice of pizza at another table. "You're on!" Shouted another pony, a stallion, as he stood on the table, joined by a friend. Luna ducked as a small cup of sprite flew her way, narrowly missing her head. "Yikes!" She cried. "Alright, here we go!" She said standing on the table, and tossing a breadstick at the stallion. "Oh no you don't!" He cried, launching a thing of sauce for breadsticks. A moment later, an angry stallion with a lovely mustache walked out, his chef's hat crooked on his head. "Who dare start a food fight in my restaurant?!" He roared, stomping his hoof on the ground. All hooves pointed to the table with Luna, Vinyl, Raindrops, and Lyra. "The Princess and her friends started it?! I doubt it, the princesses friends wouldn't start such behavior!" He said, looking at the others. "Unfortunately, sir, we did, ban us, do what you must." Said Vinyl sadly. The Stallion laughed. "What? Ban you! Hilarious, I'm only going to sentence you to cleaning it up! Be glad only a bit was spilled!" He chuckled. All of them sighed, and cleaned up.
