> A Toddler a Day Keeps the Mane Six Away > by Jenstone > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Spell Mess > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Princess Celestia finished her papers within 30 minutes. A new record, if she could say so herself. With all her extra time she decided to work on some spells, for her next class with Twilight Sparkle and some other Unicorns-in-training. She placed her signed, and filled out, papers underneath her stack, and headed out towards the throne room. Luna was also in the throne room, already practicing. "Luna, my sister," Princess Celestia said, "there is no need to train so hard. This training is just for the Unicorns-in-training. It's not the finals." Luna nodded. "I know Tia, but Twilight will be here. She always prepares herself for the most challenging, so we should give at least her some good training." Twilight Sparkle had been Celestia's student for many seasons. She had proved herself to be quite powerful when it came to magic, so Celestia took her under her wing for lessons. "I do understand, Luna," Celestia said. "We should at least give her the best we've got." Celestia prepared herself to do an age spell on a flower on the windowsill. Luna came up behind her to watch. Celestia aimed her horn at the flower, and shot the spell. The spell deflected off the flower. "What?" Celestia said. Luna ducked as a beam flew over her head. "You must of did it wrong, my sister!" Celestia gasped as the beam came back at them and turned them both... ...into fillies. ----------------------------- Luna smiled as she ran around the room, and bumped into Celestia. "Waaahhh!" Luna cried. Celestia followed. A guard slipped into the room, to see two fillies. He took out a radio with his hoof and pressed "call." "Uh, Twily?" he asked. "We may have a problem down here!" Twilight burtsed into the room where her brother was. "What is it, Shining Armour?" she asked. Her friends stood behind her. Shining pointed at the two crying Princesses, and Twilight rushed over to them. "Oh my goodness!" Twilight said as she lifted the fillies up. "They've turned themselves inton fillies!" "Ah wonder how in tarnation they got 'emselves like that!" Applejack said. Twilight faced Applejack and said, "They fizzed up an age spell!" "Well do one of you egghead spells to turn them back!" Rainbow Dash said. "It doesn't work like that, Rainbow," Twilight told her. "Because I don't know how to do an age spell! I'm not that high a level yet!" The five groaned. "Oh, well I guess we could take care of them until you figure out a way to turn them back?" Fluttershy offered. "I guess we could," Twilight agreed. "Who wants to watch Princess Luna? I'll take the first run with Princess Celestia." Pinkie Pie grabbed Luna from Twilight. "Ooh! I will! I will!" Pinkie said, happily. Twilight nodded. "Okay, then meet me back herre tomorrow, we'll switch off then!" They all rushed off. > Maybe They Won't Be So Hard After All... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Taking care of three fillies was hard work! Pinkie Piee already had Pumpkin Cake and Pound cake to deal with, so why why WHY did she choose to watch Luna too? The three fillies loved to run around and play with each other, play with Pinkie's mane, and eat! Eating everything! Pinkie could barely take it. "Alright, you three! No eating anymore!!" Pinkie cried. The three fillies tilted their heads. Pinkie raised her head, but the fillies had just began to eat some MORE! Frosting was smeared across walls, crumbs were scattered across the floor, and tablecloths and rags were torn and filled with teeth marks! Pinkie groaned loudly and collapsed onto the floor. Whoever knew dealing with these fillies was so much work? "Please! Make it stop!" Pinkie cried some more. The fillies realized they had no choice, so they sat in front of her, not eating anymore. Pinkie finally stopped crying. "Thank you! Now who wants to play peek-a-boo?" she raced behind the kitchen door. "Peek-a-boo!" Pinkie laughed as she flung her head out. The fillies laughed along with her, it was so cute. "Peek-a-boo!" Pinkie repeated. The fillies were smiling and laughing until they were racing up to Pinkie and bouncing around her with joy. Pinkie smiled. "Aww! Maybe you guys aren't such a handful after all! I wonder how Twilight's doing with Princess Celestia..." -------------------------- Twilight had Spike out away all fragile items that Celestia could break. There were a lot, so Fluttershy cam over to help as well. "Thanks for helping, Fluttershy," Twilight said. Fluttershy nodded, "I always stop to help a friend in need. Now, should I put her to bed? She seems quite tired..." She was right. The Princess was now yawning and falling asleep in Twilight's arms. "That'd be very helpful, thanks," Twilight said as she gave Celestia to Fluttershy. Fluttershy placed the Princess in Twilight's bed as she sang her "Hush Now Quiet Now" to make her fall asleep. Celeestia soon curled up in a ball and drifted off to sleep. It was too cute to be true, but it was. Twilight watched along with Fluttershy as Celestia fell asleep. "Aww! She's a very easy filly to get asleep," Twilight said. Fluttershy smiled in agreement. "Yes she is! I love her. Maybe she won't be so hard in the future." And they prayed with all their hearts that was a true statement. > Filly Swap > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day soon came, and it was time to swap fillies. They met in the throne room when it was time to swap. "Okay, so Pinkie had Luna. Who wants Luna?" Twilight asked. Applejack, who seemed quite unsure, raised her hoof. "Ah'll gladly take 'er today." Pinkie gave Luna to Applejack. "Fluttershy and I took care of Celestia. Who wants Celestia?" Twilight asked. This time, Rarity raised her hoof. "I will be a dear and take her!" Fluttershy gave Celestia to Rarity. Rainbow Dash wasn't there. "Where's Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy asked once she noticed. Twilight looked around the room. "Well, let's forget about her for a minute. It's time to go home." ----------------------- Rainbow Dash was in her Cloudsdale home. "I'm totally not taking a filly. It'd ruin my awesomeness for a year!" she said. Of course, it wouldn't, but to Rainbow, it would. ------------------------ Rarity had made a little throne for Celestia in her shop. She had Celestia model many different outfits for fillies. Celestia didn't seem very happy she was being used for such nonsense, though. Rarity ignored Celestia's scowls as she had her model a rose pink bow that goes in a mare filly's mane. Celestia snuck off the couch when Rarity was gathering some gems. She explored the shop, knocking over bottles of glue and stacks of paper. Soon enough, she heard Rarity calling for her from the room. Celestia rushed around to hide. Rarity came into the room Celestia was hiding in. When she saw the knocked over glue and paper, she almost screamed. "Don't worry yourself, Rarity. She is only a baby," Rarity reminded herself. She looked under a table, and when she saw Ceestia she smiled. "There you are! Who are you hiding from sweetie?" Rarity lifted Celestia up. "I have more clothes for you to model! Isn't that nice?" Rarity said. Celestia ducked her head, but soon enough she found herself inside a princess outfit with a mini tiara. "Aww, you look adorable, sweetie!" Rarity smiled at her design. Celestia started to cry.
