> The Final Solution > by Primary213 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > The Rainbow Factory > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "When you last stood before us in court, you testified as not guilty. You wish to change this statement?" A judge had declared to me and the rest of the ponies in the room. "Yes, my client now wishes to testify as guilty on all the charges." My lawyer had replied as the jury looked around in shock. There was slight mumbling between them. "On what grounds does your client prove to alter his testimony?" The judge questioned. My lawyer looked to me and I stood up in complete shame. The whole court was watching me for my next move. "Your honor, it is simply because I have ponies blood on my hooves. I have killed thousands, not directly, but indirectly. Still, I cannot be exempt from any charge because of this. I just want the jury to know I tried to stop this from happening. The Final Solution was not in my intentions. I tried to stop it from happening, but it was too late." I said solemnly to the courtroom. There were whispers all over the room of what accusations I had just said. The judge looked at the jury, then to me again. "The jury will take this into consideration, but for now. We will take a 45 minute recess." He said as he banged the gavel on the podium. When I left the room followed by other guards, I sat down next to my lawyer to hear him talk. He was ranting on about what I should do. I zoned him out and just focused on....there. ------------------------ "Doctor Baxter! We have amazing results! Come quick!" One pony had yelled to me. He was in a white lab coat and so was I. The sound of gears and mechanism was surrounding us and there was little light inside. "Yes, calm down, what is it you need to show me?" I asked as I looked over some of the other engineer ponies building another section of the factory. He showed me a paper with statistics that were absolutely staggering. "As you can see here, this new section of the factory will make production go up two times more than the original factory alone! We will be producing twice as much rainbows as we ever thought possible!" He said to me. I was shocked, yet proud that this factory was going to be more efficient. I looked over to him and smiled as I put on a construction hat. "Come with me. The boss wants to see us." I told him. We both went to her office and waited until she came back. Her office had a window overlooking the whole factory. There were pegasus always working around the clock. Then, the door behind us opened and she came in. We both took off our helmets as she walked in and sat at her chair. "So talk to me boys, how is the new part of the factory coming along?" She said as she looked over the paper my colleague had shown me. I took a step forward and started to explain the new section of the factory. "Well Ms. Dash, with the new part of the factory to be completed by the end of this week, we will have double the amounts of rainbows being produced and higher efficiency in both energy and we can even keep moderate climate control throughout Cloudsdale like you asked." I replied to her. I was proud of our findings and she was still reading through the paper of statistics. She put it down and smiled. "Well, it seems you ponies have things under control. With this new part of the factory, we can now keep constant climate control and alter the weather in all of Cloudsdale. This is perfect, now we can present this to the Pegasus High Command and I feel they will be more than pleased, don't you agree gentlecolts?" She replied. We both shook our heads and put our hats back on. "We must go now Rainbow. We will report to you with updates on the factory." The other Doctor had said to her. She turned her chair to overlook the factory and she raised her hoof to signal us to leave. We left and I went over to the ground level of the factory. There were other Doctors and Engineers running around to keep this beast of a factory under control. I was actually proud at the time to see such a well working factory. Two days from then, the new section of the factory was fully operational and we had just received our first shipment of "materials" needed to run the factory and produce the rainbows. Except this time we were to use the new part of the factory which was the climate control section. "Ok now it seems that our shipment has arrived, let us adjourn to the balcony on deck C to have a clear view of the machine." I had said to Rainbow Dash and some other ponies from the Pegasus High Command. We went to an elevator and I pressed deck C. We could see out of the elevator and the twin doors where "visitors" opened and ten ponies came in and were huddled close together by five guards. I watched them in absolute horror. They had no idea what was happening. I just watched as their hope was to be snuffed out like a flame without oxygen. As we arrived there was a ding and the doors behind us opened. I let Dash and the rest out. When we arrived at the balcony, the ten ponies were still down there yelling and pushing at the guards. "Now, witness the efficiency of the new section of the Rainbow Factory." I proudly said to the three ponies watching it happen with me. They were decorated with millions of medals from the Royal Guard. They had officer hats on and army uniforms. They were in a dark blue collared shirts. I looked down at one of the guards that was looking back at me. I nodded to him and he saluted to me and turned around. The guards rounded up the ten and pushed them into a chamber. The two iron doors leading to the outside of the chamber were closed and locked by the guards. They turned and looked up to me. I looked over at the three and stood proud of my invention in front of them. "Now you will witness the new and improved Rainbow Factory. Ms. Dash will you please pull the lever to your left?" I arrogantly said to them. Rainbow looked to her left and grabbed the lever with one hoof and pulled it. There was a hissing noise from the device and the sound of gears clunking. There was a loud boom from the machine. There was a red light from the chamber where the ponies were in. The screams coming from the chamber were replaced with popping from the hellish fire within. The machine started shooting out clouds and small rainbows at a steady pace. "As you can see, the machine scans the weather in the immediate area and distributes clouds and rainbows accordingly. Thus, keeping steady and ample weather condition for all of Cloudsdale. If you need the paper containing the statistics, it is right here." Rainbow had said to the three. She handed them a folder that contained graphs, calculations, etc. they were flipping through the pages. At that moment I looked into the windows where the ten ponies were. I could see a small red glow coming from the inside of the chamber. I started staring closely at it and I started actually thinking about those ten ponies. --------------------------- "Doctor! Come on! We have to enter the courtroom again!" My lawyer was yelling to me. I shook my head and looked up at him. I slowly got up and walked inside the courtroom. I could feel all the other ponies eyes beating down on me. I took a seat at the front of the courtroom. "Now, the jury has a verdict for you." The judge had said to me. I looked up over at him. My lawyer and I stood up to hear the verdict. "How do you find the defendant?" The judge asked the jury. One of them looked at a paper and cleared his throat. "We find the defendant guilty on account of acts against ponykind and ponyslaughter." The Colt replied to the courtroom. The judge looked back at me. "You are sentenced to 5 years in maximum security prison without the chance of parole. You must also report to 72 hours of rehabilitation for insanity every week." The judge declared as his gavel hit the podium and the bailiff put cuffs around my hooves and escorted me to the back of the court where the holding cell was. I just blankly looked to the floor and couldn't stop thinking of there. It was scared into all the ponies minds it effected. They sat me down at the cell and locked the door. I kept staring at the ground and slowly let out a sigh. "I could've stopped it all. If I had more power I could've stopped this. I single handedly allowed genocide to take place and did." I slowly said to myself as I kept my eyes locked on the floor. > Hell in the skies above > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I stood there. Facing the factory. It was so different from the outside. If one didn't know better, they would actually take it as a friendly place to visit. If only it were true. When I walked in, I had seen that we had another shipment of ponies in the waiting room. They were accompanied by guards that were wielding weapons all around them. One pony tried to run up to me, but was stopped by two guards. "How could you? I know what happens here! Please tell these guards to let me go!" The Mare was yelling to me. I had stopped and looked over at her with a lifeless face. "Now why would I do that? You were brought here for a reason. It's my job to make sure you are properly taken care of, and it's good you know what happens here, now you know what to expect." I replied with a smile. I then turned the other way and let the guard take care of her. I walked into the main engineer room where the energy to keep the factory alive was. There were unicorns there that kept the whole beast alive. Two Engineers met me there and described to me what we were going to do that day. We were expecting three more shipments today and I was to watch one of them to make sure all equipment was functioning properly. The older part of the factory was the setting for today's slaughter. One by one, the victims walked in and saw the chamber. Some were pushing and shoving, trying to get past the guards. "Stop resisting or I will kill you!" One of the guards yelled. The pony replied by spitting in his face. He wiped it off and grabbed his spear aimed toward the colt. With one swift jab to the chest, the colt fell to his knees and was moaning slowly. His blood started pooling around him and he looked up at the guard who was now laughing at him. I just watched his foolishness get him killed. His body fell to one side and just lay on the ground, motionless. Two guards picked up the lifeless body and threw it inside the chamber along with the other live ponies. The guards shut the doors and locked them. I walked up to the lever next to the doors and I was writing down some statistics that the machine should reach. When I looked up, I was met with that same mare that asked me those questions. She was behind the glass and was staring at me. I looked back to see her banging on the window and screaming something. Tears ran down her eyes as I extended one hoof out toward the lever. I looked over at her just before I pulled it. She was yelling what I thought to be as don't pull it. I then grabbed the lever and pulled it down. The flames on the roof of the chamber were getting hotter, then the loud boom noise and the mare was completely enveloped in flames. I watched as her body turned into a shadow and disappeared into the flames. The screaming of the ponies had stopped. Silence once more in the factory. "Guards, open the doors!" I said as I was writing some more statistics down. The flames had stopped and the guards opened the door. I peered in to see just a small amount of ashes here and there. Rainbows were starting to be formed on the other side. "Baxter! In my office now!" Rainbow yelled from her office window. I looked up and flew up to her office. I opened the door to see her with official documents from the Pegasus High Command. "Yes Ms. Dash? You called?" I asked her as she looked up from her papers to me. She flew over next to me and handed me one of the documents. "The P.H.C liked your little demonstration so much that they are asking you and I to join a council meeting that is very important and urgent." She replied as I read the document. I looked up to her and smiled. "I take it they are really liking the improvements to the Rainbow Factory? So when is this exactly?" I asked her. Rainbow looked out to the factory and smiled. "Next Tuesday. They said they have very important news to give to all important Pegasus like you and I." She said. I walked up to her and looked down at our creation. "Well, count me in. Ill go to that hearing with you and we shall represent everypony here at the factory." I responded. We both looked at the papers again and I left while reading it still. It seemed we didn't have to bring anything, just listen to what they had to say there. I headed to the oldest part of the factory. We had updated it but it still kept the same medieval ways of gaining energy for the rainbows. It would bring up one pony at a time and stab them once with a knife. The dead or dying pony would then have their blood removed and the body would be dumped into an inferno with the rest. When I had arrived at the observation level that overlooked the old part of the factory. One by one, each pony was brought up to the blade. The engineers would then pull the lever to end the ponies life on the other end. I had flown down to the bottom floor to take over the lever. The pegasus that was using it before me was tired. His eyes were bloodshot exactly like mine. His lab coat was tainted with the blood of other ponies. "This is the third shipment of ponies today. Finish off this round and shut her down okay Doctor?" One guard had said to me. Typically this part of the factory saw about two shipments a day if we were lucky. The first pony was brought up to the knife. I had it lowered to his chest and watched him gaze at the knife in horrer. He was trying his best to get out of the latches that the device had snatched him with. I looked down at the lever and raised my hoof up to it. I looked next to me and there Rainbow Dash stood. She was watching the desperate pony try to escape. She had a twisted smile on her face. She was waiting for me to pull the lever. Her smile was that of one I had never seen before. She found amusement out of the struggling pony who was about to be brutally murdured. But I couldn't judge, because at the time, I had not realized I had the same twisted smile as hers and was anxious to see the blood spill before us. I started to laugh as I pulled the lever down. The knife went in for the kill. Rainbow and I were laughing as blood spilt on us. I looked on me and saw it on my lab coat and fur. Dash stayed there for the full shipment. Time and time again, the knife claimed more and the more bloody we got. We were gaining some type of amusement from it. The factory had altered us, we weren't the same. We weren't ponies anymore. ------------------------- "Come on! You have a visitor!" A guard yelled to me as I sat in my cell. I walked out and followed him down the hall. We reached the visitor room and he used a key to open the door. I walked it and saw Rainbow Dash on the other side of the glass. I slowly walked in and sat down. He closed the door and let us be. "You look like shit Doctor. They nipped you hard this time didn't they?" Rainbow asked as she was staring at me with a serious face. I looked up to her and gazed into her blood ridden eyes. "Yeah, well unlike you, I admit that I deserve what I am getting right now. You dodged the bullet but I purposely wanted a pony like me locked up. You should be in here too." I replied. She looked shocked at what I had said. "You actually sound like a pony now, you've changed." She replied. This enfuriated me. I stood up from my chair and gave her an evil stare. "I'm sorry I'm not a blood lusting robot like you anymore! I don't wake up every morning thinking about blood and murdering millions like you Ms. Dash! You should be in here too! We were forever burned by that damned place!" I yelled to her. She took a step back and gazed into my weary eyes. She knew I was done with that. Done with the killings, done with the blood, done with the rainbows. "Hah! Doctor you've become soft! I should've killed you when I had the chance! I expect you to report back to that factory as soon as your out of here! You got that?" She declared as I stared at her like she was absolutely mad, because she was. "I will NEVER go back to that hell! Mark my words you bitch! I'm done hurting!" I yelled back to her. I got up and left the room. The guard followed me to my cell and pushed me in. I sat back down and just sat staring at the wall once more. My mind was blank. I had no memories of family, friends, or anything else, just...there. > The Meeting > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Now I call upon thee, Captain of the Pegasus Royal Guard to lay out today's topic of discussion for the Pegasus High Command." One general had declared as the others sat in complete silence. The captain flew to the podium and cleared his throat. "We are here today, my fellow Pegasui to discuss the Final Solution and usage of the Rainbow Factory." He said as the other ponies looked around. I was wondering what the Final Solution was. I looked over to Rainbow and she was talking with one of the P.H.C officers. I tapped her and she looked over at me. "What is the Final Solution?" I asked her. She shrugged her shoulders and watched the Captain speak about the voting for the Final Solution. I turned back and waited for the captain to stop speaking. I could hear constant chatter around me about the Final Solution. It didn't sound good. When he stopped talking, I saw my chance and stood up. "Captain! I am a Doctor from the Rainbow Factory and a question occurs; what exactly is the Final Solution?" I asked. The crowd, including Rainbow looked at me like I was a mad man. The captain put down his papers and looked at me. "Well Doctor, the Final Solution is the complete extermination of the other races. This includes but is not limited to; the Earth ponies and Unicorns. In fact, your facility will be used to assist in the extermination of the lower races." He replied. The other Pegasui started smiling when they heard him say this. I was blown back in total awe. "Why are we to do this? What reasons do we have to exterminate them?" I asked the captain. He laughed and looked back at me like I was kidding. "Because we are, undoubtably, the master race and should take what is rightfully ours that is why." He replied. I sat down and watched as they all stomped their hooves for him. My eyes were wide open and I just sat there with my mouth wide open as well. "It doesn't make sense. Why? I dot get it." I whispered to myself as I looked at my hooves. "Let us put it to a vote now, who agrees we out in motion the Final Solution? Say I." The captain announced as I looked back up. Everypony in the conference said I, even Rainbow Dash. I was the only one who didn't answer. I scanned the room to see nothing but everypony with devilish smiles on their faces. "Ok, so the motion is in favor. The complete extermination of the other races will be upon us! Pegasui are the future!" He yelled as they all started stomping in unison. I could hear the roar of the crowd and I just walked out of the conference. Dash followed me shortly after. "Why did you leave? Don't you think this is wonderful?" She asked me. I couldn't give her an answer. I wanted to say no but I couldn't. I just kept silent the whole time until we arrived at the factory. When I walked inside that factory, it was the last time I would see the sun in a long time. "Come on! One by one! All engineers in the factory! We need as much help as we can get!" One f the guards yelled as I was waking up to what was going to be day one in an eternal hell. I walked to the observation deck over the old part of the factory and as I was rubbing my eyes, I saw the waiting rooms filled with ponies! The Pegasus High Command had already laid siege on some villages and took prisoners to the factory. "Doctor! We need you on the older device! You know how to work that machine better than the other engineers here!" Rainbow Dash yelled out to me. I automatically flew down to the lever and waited for the machine to pick out its prey. It lifted up a filly. She was an earth pony. She was screaming before I let loose the knife. I looked over at her just before I put my goggles on. She was crying and was calling out for her mother. Something there just made me crack. I realized that if this was going to happen, might was well make it quick. Slowly an evil smile emerged on my face and I had the need to see her body run red with her blood. "Shut up you little brat! Your mom will be next to follow you!" I yelled as she looked over at me. She was in complete fear. As I was still looking at her, I pulled the lever and the knife pierced the filly's skin. Her fur started turning red where the knife struck. She started slowly coughing. As the knife pulled out of her, her body just held there. When the knife left the filly, the blood hit me as usual and I continued to the next pony. One by one the desperate ponies were met with death. There were screams all throughout the factory. All of which were stopped after death struck them. The engineers and other workers were running back and fourth throughout the factory. The piles of dead bodies under my device were taken and thrown into furnaces. The smell of flesh and death stalked the factory. One pony that I was to kill tried saying something to me. He turned his head toward me and started shouting something. "How dare you! You are causing genocide! How are you up to this? You aren't ponies, your devil minions!" He was yelling. I took my hoof off the lever and looked at him with a demented smile and smeared blood on my face. "Stop talking! Your wasting my time! You'll have all the time to talk when you are along with the other dead bodies you fool!" I yelled back to him. He looked directly at the blade as it inched closer to him. He was trying to back away from it but couldn't. "Resistance is futile! Give in to the power of the Rainbow Factory!" I yelled as the blade went through his chest. His face was emotionless as the blade exited his body. One by one, the ponies bodies fell to the factory floors and the screaming and trembling of the ponies on the machine were abruptly ended when the last thing they saw was the knife run through them. Blood was accumulating on me and some of my other colleagues who were watching and move the dead bodies to the furnace. The first days recorded death toll was just shy of 26,000. Day two of eternal hell was even worse for the victims there. They were more ponies then the last day. I walked up to the machine and saw the pegasus who took the night shift while I had the day. I flew up to him and tapped his shoulder. "Shifts over buddy, you can retire now." I said to him. He had blood all over him and his eyes were half closed. He only looked at the floor as he slowly left. I put my goggles on and let out a short yawn. I looked down at my victims of today. Something was different about them. They weren't screaming or trying to get through the guards, they all still looked very depressed, but weren't shedding a single tear. They were all just, blank. That's the only word I could use to describe it. Word must've caught on about what was to become of them. They were accepting their fate. I pressed a button to see the machine grab one and bring him up to the knife. When the knife got close to him, his eyes grew wider, but he didn't let out a single noise until the blade came in contact with him. He screamed for a short second and gripped the knife with his two hooves. When the knife left his bloody body, so did his soul and his body was lifeless. It was then dropped on the factory floor to start a new pile of corpses. I was smiling to see my beautiful creation at work. Every time I pulled the lever, I felt more pride and as the blood hit me, my main become tainted with the red liquid. "More! Let me see what this machine can really do! My creation can handle much more! Guards! Give me more to kill!" I yelled as a knife ran through another pony and I started to laugh. "Doctor! It's good to see you've made progress." Rainbow Dash said as she flew down to see me and my progress. She was covered in blood stains, much like me. "Yes! My machine is working at max capacity and I just love to hear her kill them so efficiently. Our weather team is working at its peak!" I said to her as I pulled the lever and watched the knife enter the Pony's body. I couldn't contain a smile as the blood fell upon Dash and I. She and I sarted laughing as the next pony was picked up and the knife was right in front of her. She looked at me and her eyes were colorless. "How? How could you watch us be snuffed out? You aren't ponies, your something else." She said to me slowly. She sounded hopeless. I just started laughing and gave her a stare of pure evil. "It's very simple actually. I just push this button to pick you up and pull the lever here to send your soul to eternal hell. I am indeed a pony, and a smart one. How you ask? I am standing here, and you are being held there. If you were smart, you wouldn't be here now would you? Now it's time for you die! You have been wasting far too much of my time!" I replied. She was still staring at me as I pulled the lever back. The knife advanced and she let out a loud scream. As she screamed I was smiling while gazing into the bloody steel of the knife. Her body was dumped into the pile with the rest and the slaughter continued. Pony after bloody pony were dropped into the pile and I watched as the sight of blood was pleasing me. When my shift was done, I was still killing the ponies while the doctor to replace me was waiting. "Come on! Defend yourselves! Try to attack me! Try to attack me as I watch your blood spill all over the floors! The Rainbow Factory is thirsty! I am thirsty for all of your blood! Now watch as I get a seat in watching all of you die!! Hahahahah!" I had said to all of the other living ponies waiting to be killed. I was laughing as I pulled the lever down to hear the knife pierce the victim's skin. When the knife ripped out of him, I laughed as his body hit the floor. I was pulled aside by that other doctor and he stopped the machine. "Go and get some damn sleep! You are too wired!" He yelled as he pushed me away from my machine. I looked at him and my rage started building. I turned him around and hit him with my hoof so hard that he fell off the walkway we were on and he hit the floor next to the other ponies waiting to die. I had the machine pick him up before he realized what happened. "Wired? How dare you call me wired! You will see the brilliance of my machine first hand! This is your redemption day! I'll forgive you when you are in hell!" I yelled as I watched him cower in total fear. The knife reached his chest and was looming just next to it. He was struggling to get out while he was yelling at me. "Dammit Baxter! Get me out of this thing! Don't pull that lever!" He yelled. I found his pleas to be hilarious and I laughed as he continued to yell. I pulled the lever down and watched the knife go through his body. His lab coat became soaked in his own blood and I dropped his body in with the rest of the other corpses. I never went to sleep that night.
