After being dragged to a concert by her friends, Fluttershy starts to fall for a lead singer
After being dragged to a concert, The Nightmares. But after being scared by the intense music, she somehow meets the lead singer, Moon Light. After spending some time together, they start to hit it off and start to really fall in love. But Fluttershy can't get over her fear of his music, no matter how hard she tries. Will she be able to overcome her timidness in order to find true love?
Fluttershy said as she finished grooming her. Not many ponies could groom a cat like Opal with out getting scratched up but Fluttershy wasn't like most ponies. Even her owner, the majestic Rarity could get away with that. That was the sole reason she was trusted with her while she had to leave suddenly on a trip to Canterlot. Even though it was a little out of the blue, Fluttershy didn't mind. She loved taking care of animals, more than anything in the world. They didn't make her nervous like other ponies, she was always comfortable around them. As she finished putting Opal away with the other cats, much to their dismay ( she was as kind to them as she was as kind to anypony), she was about to head up to bed herself. But as she got halfway up the stairs the heard the sound of a hoof knocking on her door. As she walked to the door, wondering who could be visiting dropping by at that late hour, the door suddenly burst open with a loud "Surprise!!". The shock caused Fluttershy's whole body to tense up as she let out a soft shriek. Her fear then faded when she realized that it was only her friend, Pinkie Pie stopping by for a unexpected visit.
"Great, I think you might have finally killed her Pinkie." Said another voice. As she turned her head, she saw a upside down Rainbow dash looking over her.
"Oh, I'm sorry Fluttershy" Pinkie said in a genuine tone " I was just knocking on the door and thought it would be fun if I yelled surprise. And you know what, it was. I love saying surprise, almost as much as.."
Rainbow Dash quickly put her hoof in Pinkie's mouth, quickly shutting her up. Fluttershy thought that might have gone too far but was also a bit relived for she knew Pinkie could talk forever.
"Um,it's OK" Fluttershy said nervously. Even though Rainbow and Pinkie were her friends, she still felt nervous around them, like every other pony. "but I was just wondering, you know, what you guys are doing here?"
"Oh yeah" Dash suddenly remembered, with all of the chaos she almost forgot. "You know how Rarity had to go to Canterlot in such a hurry."
"Oh yes," Fluttershy said in a soft tone " She had to leave Opal here."
"Well we had all planned to go to a concert together but because of the emergency she can't make it "Rainbow answered "And we were wondering if you wanted to go with us."
Fluttershy didn't know how to respond. The fact was that she had never been to a concert before, the loud music didn't agree with her timid nature. But she also didn't want to disappoint her friends.
"Well, that's awfully kind of you to ask me," she said in the sweetest way possible " but don't know, why don't you ask Twilight or Applejack?" She asked hoping they would ask them instead.
" Well," Rainbow answered in a guilty tone " We already did, Applejack has to get up early and Twilight was busy organizing her library and said it would take all night"
Fluttershy felt a little bad that she was they're last choice to go, but was more upset that her way out was now gone. She was about to decline them as well when Pinkie came close to her face that they almost touched
" Please go with use Fluttershy," Begged Pinkie " we will have a ton of fun, and there will be food and music and it will be a like a giant party!!"
Fluttershy was at a lose for words. She didn't want to go, but when Pinkie looked at her with those giant eyes she just didn't have the heart to say no.
"Okay," Fluttershy finally gave in. Pinkie Pike lite up like a heart warming eve tree and gave her the biggest, tightest hug she ever got. Rainbow Dash was also happy, though she was more subtle about it then Pinkie. Then again, fireworks were more subtle then Pinkie Pie.
After she was released from the death grip of a hug, Fluttershy was finally able to ask
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what are we going to see?" asked her usual timid tone
Rainbow Dash was about to answer when Pinkie jumped on her back and shouted
"The Nightmare's!! They're this new band, and they are awesome! They tour around on a train all around Equestria! They are the most super spectacular amazing band in the world!!" Pinkie said under a single breath
"Yeah, I wouldn't go that far," Rainbow Dash said "but they are pretty good, and it will be a lot of fun, trust me."
Fluttershy was still unsure but she trusted her friends and after a few preparations they were all ready to head out. As they were walking, she was still a little nervous but also starting to get exited. She was exited to share a new experience with her good friends. Little did she know that this experience would change her life forever.
Fluttershy had never seen so many ponies in one place before. The Nightmares must have been a more popular band then she thought, because as far she could see was just a ocean of ponies. The concert was being held at the train station, which Fluttershy was a little confused about. But Rainbow Dash explained that the band goes around Equestria on a personal train and use it as a stage. Fluttershy was amazed at how much Ponyville had gotten ready for their arrival. she saw tons of food and souvenir stalls, all with long lines of eager ponies. The sheer amount of sensory over load, from the sounds of the excited ponies, the smells of the food stands, and the lights decorating the grounds, almost overwhelmed her but she took a deep breath and calmed herself down
"Oh my gosh," yelled Pinkie as she was suddenly wrapped around Fluttershy " have you ever seen so many ponies! I told you The Nightmares were awesome, look how many ponies think so! Oh my gosh, this is going to be the best night EVER!!"
Fluttershy and Rainbow just looked at her hoping she would get it out of her system, a long shot they both knew. They eventually were able to calm her down enough to finally get to their seats. Fluttershy was amazed at how close they were to the stage, they were in the third row.
"Wow," she said with timid amazement " how did you get seats this close?"
Rainbow was about to answer when Pinkie once again interrupted her. "Oh, that was easy," she answered in her usual exited tone " I just had to wait in line for a few days. It was so much fun, it was like a sleepover that lasted a week!" "Yeah," Rainbow said as she pushed Pinkie aside so she could actually get a word in " we were lucky she did that, or we couldn't get these amazing.."
She was interrupted by a train whistle and the sound of everypony there screaming in applause. but all the screaming was dwarfed by Pinkie's excited screams. Fluttershy was beyond shocked at the almost deafening tone of the crowd. As she was about to tense up, Rainbow put her arm around her to try and keep her calm. This helped but she was still nervous, she didn't know what to was happening. But that question was quickly answered as she saw the train pull into the station. It wasn't anything like the normal train, it wasn't colorful at all. Instead it was mostly black with a few parts colored in dark colors, like red or purple. The train itself looked threatening, which didn't bode well for Fluttershy. But she had little time to worry as the show began.
The show started with a piano playing, as the composer slowly emerged to the top of the middle car, playing a grand piano. The first thing that Fluttershy noticed about him was his coloring, he was as grey as a cloudy night, the only thing darker was his mane. His mane she thought was like a moonless night except for a single streak of red running through it. And his cutie mark was three musical notes, the same color of his streak in his hair. Fluttershy then forgot everything, the cheering crowds, the intimidating train, and the overwhelming smells from the food carts, and just heard his music. It was soft, almost kind but it had a overwhelming feeling of loneliness that engulfed everything that heard it. Fluttershy almost felt like crying, but then the music changed. It went from a feeling of loneliness to of anger and pain. The lone stallion was then joined by three more ponies, all of which gave Fluttershy a sense of dread. The music kept getting darker and darker, and had started to really scare her. Even with her friends next to her she felt completely alone. Her fear turned to panic as she had the urge to escape. But when she tried, Pinkie Pie grabbed her and held close, almost pushing her towards the stage. After the third song, Fluttershy had finally had too much and everything around her went black as she fell to the cold ground.
"Hey I think she's finally coming around" Fluttershy heard as she started to awaken.
She felt very weak as she slowly lifted her head. As she looked around she saw the familiar faces of her friends looking over her, as well a face of a pony she didn't recognize.She then slowly started to remember the events before her untimely fainting spell. And with that, a memory of panic. She was about to faint again when the unfamiliar pony put his hoof on her shoulder and told her to breath.
"You need to stay calm," he said " your in a medical tent. You had a mild panic attack and fainted but you're fine as long as you take deep breaths and stay calm."
Fluttershy listened to him and eventually calmed down. And when she did she finally got a good look at her surroundings. The tent was small with a few beds. There were a few other ponies but the worse one just looked green from drinking too much cider. She could still smell all of the good food and hear all of the of the excited ponies. But she couldn't hear any music, which in a way was a relief, if she had to hear any more of that angry noise she might have a heart attack.
"I'm sorry," she said in a guilty tone "because of me you missed most of the concert."
"Don't apologize Fluttershy," Rainbow Dash said " it was our fault, we should have known the music might have been too intense for you."
"Yeah, we're both super sorry," Pinkie said, even she looked sad and guilty about the whole incident.
"Oh it's okay," Fluttershy" said in a sincerest way possible. she wasn't even angry with them, she was mostly upset with herself for not being strong enough. She had always knew she was timid but this was the first time it effected her friends this much. Because of her weakness her friends had missed most of the concert they were nice enough to invite her too.
"Hey girls, I think I'm going to take a walk," she said in a soft almost sad tone.
"Are you sure?" Rainbow Dash asked in a very concerned way.
"Yes," She answered " I think I just need some air"
She left the tent and started to drift through the crowd. It was very late but with all of the lights up it could pass for the middle of the day. She started to be mesmerized by all the lights and sounds going on all around her. Before she even realized it she had gotten to the top of a hill over looking the entire concert grounds. As she looked over the grounds she was amazed at how beautiful it all looked from up there. As she was about to leave and head home she suddenly was startled by a rustling of a bush. Ordinarily that would have sent her running but after tonight she was fed up with being timid. She slowly moved towards the bush and gently moved away some of the limbs to get a better view. What she saw surprised her, sitting there shivering was a Chameleon cobra, a very rare snake that changes color and cutie mark , and right now it was pure white, it's color of fear along with picture of a scared rabbit on it's back.
"Oh, sweety, what are you doing out here all alone?" she asked as she picked her up. After some coaxing she finally changed it from a white to a purple and the cutie mark changed to a heart, it's color for infatuation. But Fluttershy was wondering what a rare animal was doing all the way out here. They weren't native to Equestria but they were popular pets in Canterlot, so she figured it must belong to someone.
"Oh thank Celestia, you found her"
Fluttershy was surprised to hear someone else out hear, but she was happy to find the owner of the snake. She turned around to give him the snake when she was shocked to see who it was. Standing behind her was the stallion who was playing piano and singing on stage. She suddenly felt very afraid, all of the emotions she felt during the concert suddenly came rushing back and she almost fainted again. The stallion must have sensed this and quickly rushed to her and put his hoof on her shoulder. And as soon as he did she suddenly felt very safe, which she found very strange. She didn't even know this pony's name and yet when she looks into his grass green eyes she couldn't help but feel like she could be safe. The silence lasted for a while until the stallion finally broke the silence by saying
"Um, are you okay?" he finally asked.
As soon as he said that, Fluttershy became very aware that he was holding on to her, and suddenly became very embarrassed. She quickly stepped away and suddenly became her old timid self.
"Um, yes, I think so, thank you" she said in almost a whisper
"Good, I was worried for a second there," he said in a playful tone "Thanks for finding Viper, i would have been here all night if it wasn't for you. I really appreciate it."
"Oh, so Viper's your name?" She asked looking at the snake. Viper gave a hiss in reply that Fluttershy took as a yes.
"Wow." he said in amazement
"What is it?" Fluttershy asked in a worried tone.
"Oh, it's nothing" he replied quickly so not to offend her "it's just that Viper doesn't usually like other ponies beside me. It's amazing how quickly she warmed up to you."
Fluttershy couldn't help but blush upon hearing a compliment.
"Oh, I should probably introduce myself," he said upon feeling her start to get uncomfortable " my names Moon Light, what's yours?"
"Oh, um, I'm Fluttershy," she said at a surprisingly loud voice, she was starting to feel uncomfortable " um, I really liked your concert."
"Oh, so you were there," Moon said, very excitedly " no offense but you don't exactly look like one of my fans, they usually look a lot meaner than you do."
Fluttershy couldn't help but let out a small giggle, and in turn so did Moon Light. Fluttershy was amazed that someone who wrote music that angry could be so nice. They talked for a little bit more until it really started getting late.
"Well," Fluttershy reluctantly said " It's gotten very late, and I don't want to make my friends worry."
"Oh, i guess it has gotten late," he said with a sad look on his face.
Yes, well it was nice meeting you," Fluttershy said as she went to leave. She wished she could talk to him more but knowing her friends they would start to get really worried. As she walked away though she started to get really sad.
"Wait, Fluttershy!" Moon shouted
"Yes?" Fluttershy asked wondering what he could want, but happy at the same time
"Well I'm going to be in Ponyville for a couple of days and was wondering if maybe, if you wanted that is, if you could show me around town."
Fluttershy face lite up when he said that and immediately answered, "Oh yes, I would love too."
"Great, great," he was so happy you could see it on his face. " um, where should we meet."
"Oh I know this great place," She enthusiastically answered him " can you meet me at Sugar Cube Corner around noon?"
"Sugar Cube Corner? Okay I'll be there."
They said their goodbyes and Fluttershy went back to meet back with her friends. Just like she expected they had been all over the grounds looking for her. When she met up with them Pinkie gave her the biggest hug of her life, almost crying. They all decided they had enough fun for on night and started to head home. Just before they dropped off Fluttershy, Rainbow and Pinkie both just had to ask her something.
"Hey Fluttershy," Rainbow asked " did something happen on your walk?"
"Yeah," Pinkie chimed in "I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much."
"Oh," Fluttershy answered in a defensive tone, she wasn't exactly ready to tell her friends about her night just yet "not really. Anyway thanks for the fun night, bye."
With that she quickly went inside and closed the door. Her friends were confused but were too tired to press the issue. Fluttershy spent the rest of the night with the feeling of flight while her feet never left the ground. It had turned out to be a good night after all, despite everything she tried she just couldn't stop smiling.
"Should I do this?"Fluttershy thought to herself waiting at her usual table at Sugar Cube Corner.
Last night seemed like a eternity ago as she waited for her date to arrive. Yes, she was very aware that she was going on a date by this point, and she was not taking it well. Upon realizing that, she had started to get very nervous. Luckily it was a slow day at Sugar Cube Corner, with most of the customers just doing pick ups. She was glad for that though, if there had been any busier she might feel even more uncomfortable. Fluttershy had never done anything like this before, this was her first date ever. She didn't know what to do, so she just sat there eagerly awaiting her date. That thought was too much for her to take, she had to get out of there. But as she was about to get up, Moon Light entered through the front door. As she saw him enter, all of her anxiety vanished as she gave him a graceful wave to lure him over to her table.
"Hey," he said on his way to the table, "have you been waiting long?"
"Um, no," she answered. It was a little bit of a lie, she had been there for about a half hour
"Great, thanks for taking me around town," He said in a energetic tone, "I would have just wandered around, and would probably have ended up lost for sure."
Fluttershy couldn't help but be both relived and and dissapionted with Moon Light's words. At least she could relax now if only a bit. But somehow she found that she could relax around him, fairly easily. She never really felt comfortable around stallions, but somehow with him she could.
"So, what's good to eat hear?" he asked playfully while grabbing a menu, "i am completely at your mercy."
"Oh, no I couldn't," Fluttershy said with surprise, she didn't want the responsibility of picking his lunch.
"Oh c'mon, You know this place a lot more than I do, I'm sure what ever you pick will be great." he said in a playful tone.
Fluttershy tried to hide her blushing face in her menu and with a barley audible whisper gave him her suggestion. He gave the waitress they're order, while she had to yank the menu out of Fluttershy's hands. The wait for the food was filled with awkward silence until their lunch finally arrived. When Moon Light finally took a bite, Fluttershy was close too falling out of her chair in anticipation.
"Mmm, this is really good," He said with a mouthful of food
The relief and happiness filled Fluttershy's face. The rest of the meal went incredibly well. They ended up talking for over a hour, mostly about Fluttershy. normally she would feel too embarrassed to talk about herself but Moon Light was insistent and wanted to know all about her. she told him stories that ranged from when she got her cutie mark, to when the cutie mark crusaders had a sleepover at her house.
"Wait, so you actually stared down a Cockatrice?" Moon Light asked in a excited voice, he was on the edge of his seat for every story she told.
"Well, I didn't really have a choice," she said in a bashful tone, "If I didn't the girls would have been turned to stone."
"It's official, you are the most amazing pony I've ever met." he said in amazement
Fluttershy couldn't keep her happiness inside and let out a little giggle. She had never talked for so long before, it was all so easy with him.
"Well, I've told you all about myself," Fluttershy was finally able to ask, "why don't you tell me about you."
Moon's face suddenly had a grim look on his face. Fluttershy sensed that his past might be a little more private and tried to change the subject.
" No, It's okay," He said in a apologetic tone, " you told me a lot from your past, it's only fair that you know a little about me. Well i was born i-"
He was suddenly interrupted by a loud gasp, as both of them looked to the source. Pinkie Pie was standing in the door way, trying to say Moon Light but was stuck on the M. She eventually was able to scream something that sounded like Moon Light and rushed to their table.
"Oh my gosh, you're Moon Light!" Pinkie screamed, "I am like your biggest fan ever. Well maybe not your biggest, I'm not really that tall, But I own every one of your records, all three of them!"
"Um Pinkie," Fluttershy tried to interrupt. Pinkie didn't even notice her until she spoke up.
"Oh, hi Fluttershy," she said suprisingly calm, well as calm as you can get with Pinkie Pie, "what are you doing hear?"
"Friend of yours?" Moon asked, sounding exhausted from his one sided conversation with Pinkie Pie
"Um , yes," Fluttershy answered, " Um, Moon Light, this is my good friend Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie, this is my uh...."
She looked at Moon Light and saw that him blush. Fluttershy didn't know what to call him. It was obvious to both of them that it had gone beyond just being a tour guide, considering they haven't moved from sugar Cube Corner in over two hours. But Fluttershy was too embarrassed to actually say it.
"Wait a minute," Pinkie said while taking a good look at both of them' "You two aren't on a date are you?"
Fluttershy whole face became bright red in less then a second. But before could even say one word, Moon Light grabbed her by the hoof and ran for the door. As they ran out into the street Fluttershy took a look back to see Pinkie casually waving them good bye with a grin on her face. That little show was all she needed for her answer. As they ran farther and farther away from Sugar Cube Corner, and even though she had no idea where they were going, she couldn't help but fell happy.
After running until they almost collapsed from exhaustion. Fluttershy was exhausted, she never run that fast before. But despite her exhaustion she had noticed how late it started to look. The sun had started to go down already, and the shades of twilight in the clouds were a light orange. She just stared at them a while, thinking of how beautiful they looked, having the sudden urge to fly up into them. She would have if she didn't remember why she was there.
"I'm on a date" she thought to herself, still barley believing it. As her eyes feel away from the clouds her eyes feel upon Moon Light. He was staring at something but it wasn't the sky, it was her. He looked at her with pure wonder, like looking at a work of art. The second Fluttershy noticed he had a look of playful embarrassment. Fluttershy felt a little embarrassed as well, but more than that she felt happy.
After a quick rest they decided to walk around for a little bit. While they walked Moon Light kept asking Fluttershy more questions about her. This disappointed her, she felt comfortable around him enough to talk about herself but she really wanted to know more about him. But she could also tell that it was hard for him and decided to respect that.
"Hey," Moon Light suddenly exclaimed, "Is that a piano?"
Fluttershy looked and sure enough, outside a small restaurant was a piano sitting by the door. Moon Light almost immediately ran over to it. As he sat down, he gestured Fluttershy to do the same. She was a little unsure but when she looked at his relaxed smile, she knew it would be alright.
"I know I've been kind of secretive tonight," he admitted as she sat down next to him.
"Oh, that's okay," Fluttershy said in a panic. She tried to hide her curiosity but she was never good at hiding her feelings.
"No it's not," Moon said in a very serious tone, "You've told me about you so I think it's only fair that I do the same. But I'd rather not say it with just words
At first Fluttershy was confused, but she understood when he started to play. The song reminded her of the beginning of the first song she heard him play, it filled her with a feeling of loneliness but it was much softer then the other song. And when he started to sing she realized he was singing about his past. How he lived on the streets of Canterlot, with only his music to drive him and give him purpose. And how he was lucky enough to be discovered while playing in a coffee shop to get away from the cold. The song was almost enough to drive her to tears. As the tears started to grow in her eyes, just before they could fall Moon Light wiped them away, smiling and happy he could share his song with her. She suddenly gave him a hug, which made him incredibly happy as he changed the music to something much sweeter. She hugged him tight as he kept playing, til the late hours of the night. They both never wanted it to end.
By the time Moon Light stopped playing his music was already dark. As they got up to leave, their eyes met. After just one day they both felt like they truly knew each other more than they knew any other pony. Since it was so late they decided to call it a night. Fluttershy said she could make it home on her own, but Moon Light insisted on walking her home. This made filled her with joy, she wanted to spend more time with him. And having him for company made her feel safe. With him around she always felt safe.
As they walked, they shared few words. There was little left to say between the two. For the first time in her life, Fluttershy felt truly connected to somepony. She couldn't tell for sure but she had a feeling that he felt the same. And when she looked into his dark green eyes, she knew he did.
"So, is that it?," Moon Light suddenly asked pointing to her house.
"Um, yes," Fluttershy said, a little disappointed. She had hoped she could have spent a little more time with him.
"So, I had a great time," Moon Light awkwardly said. Fluttershy saw that he was as nervous as she was and that made her feel a better. She couldn't help but let out a cute giggle.
"Me too," She said bashfully, turning to face him in front of her door. She was about to head inside when Moon Light spoke up.
"Um, you know, I'm in town for one more day," he said, still obviously nervous, " you maybe want to come by the train tomorrow, so we can hang out more?"
"I'd love to," She said almost as soon as he finished asking. Moon Light let out a sigh of relief as his face light up with happiness.
"Great, great! I'll see you tomorrow then." He said barley containing his excitement, " Well, goodnight."
"Goodnight," Fluttershy said very softly. The she did something very unexpected. Before she went inside she gave Moon Light a quick kiss on the cheek. As soon she did though her normal timid nature took over and she ran inside her house and slammed the door. Moon Light stood outside her door dumbstruck over what just happened. After a good thirty seconds he was finally able to process what just happened, as well as regain the feelings in his legs. As he left, with a giant smile on his face, he couldn't stop the flood of music going to his head. All of it was beautiful, a true masterpiece, but in his mind it was nothing compared to her. Her voice, her laugh, and her grace were better than anything he could ever play on his piano, but he was happy enough to try, to attempt to try and capture just a fraction of her into music. He started to run, all the way back to the train station, excited for the first time in months to write music again. He was sick of writing about pain, about his anger at the world. for the first time in he didn't know how long, he was happy. She made him happy.
Fluttershy could barley contain her excitment, as she flew towards the train station. That and the fact that if she stopped moving she would probably fall asleep. After she kissed Moon Light, she was to nervous to sleep. She didn't even think about it, her body just moved on her own but she didn't care. Kissing him, even just on the cheek gave her a feeling she had never expirienced before. She couldn't help it, she couldn't stand to be away from him another second. She wanted to return to the comfort, to the warmth of his presence. It didn't take long fot Fluttershy to reach the station. I looked much diffrent then during the concert. Instead of a untold number of ponies clustered together in a giant mass, there were only a few dozen ponies scattered over the grounds packing up everything. As she watched them pack everything into the train, reality set in for Fluttershy. Moon Light was leaveing that day. Her heart suddenly fell into her stomach almost causeing her to fall out of the sky. She knew that he was leaveing but she never expected it to effect her this much. Fluttershy thought it was crazy, she only knew him for a day. But that didn't matter, it felt much longer then that and she wanted him to stay with her more than anything. After trying to think of something she could do, anything she could do to make him stay longer, she suddenly realized she was running late. She suddenly flew down as fast as she could, trying to keep her feelings from surfaceing.
She landed on the outskirts of the grounds and made her way to the meeting place. As she walked through the grounds, still lost in her thoughts, she was suddenly greeted by a friendly face. Almost as instantly as she herd the soft whistle of something flying through the air, Moon Light's pet snake Viper was wrapped around her neck in a gentle hug. She was her usual shade of purple, with a heart cutie mark on her coil. This calmed Fluttershy down and for a moment she was able to relax if only for a seconed. But her feeling of relief was followed by a feeling of anxiouty and happiness as she saw Moon Light running towards her with a smile on his face.
“Hey,” He said almost completly out of breath. “ Good to see you.”
“You too,” Fluttershy said. Seeing Moon Light would normally feeling of happiness but this time was different. Instead she had a feeling of her own timid nature surfacing with her anxiety. She tried to hide it as best as she could but she could tell that Moon Light suspected something.
“Are you alright?” Moon Light finally asked
“Um, yes I think so.” She quickly answered. But even as the words left her mouth she knew he wouldn't believe her. Fluttershy could tell by the concerned look on his face that he wasn't buying her small lie. He was about to say something when another pony she didn't recognize walked up to them.
“Hey, are you harassing another girl,” said the mysterious mare in a mocking tone. Fluttershy instantly felt like she had seen her before. She was a unicorn, whose coat was a pale blue. But what really stood out was her mane, it was short and was a mix of purple and pink. The only other thing that stood out was her cutie mark, a amplifier set to max volume.
“ Ha ha, very funny.” Moon Light said just as play fully. Fluttershy was glad for the sudden distraction but couldn't help but have a feeling of jealousy.
“Oh uh Fluttershy,” Moon Light suddenly remembering who he was with, “ this is Evanescence, don't worry about learning a name that long, we just call her Eve. She's the guitarist for our band.” Fluttershy realized that's how she new her, from the concert. She probably would have remembered sooner if she wasn't trying to escape while trying desperately to stay conscious. “ Eve, this is the girl I told you about.”
“Oh, so your the girl he can't shut up about.” Eve said obviously poking fun at Moon Light. This made Fluttershy's heart skip a beat.
“Okay, that's enough,” Moon Light quickly said, obviously trying to change the subject. “What do you want anyway?”
“Oh yeah,” She suddenly remembered “ The guys want to do a practice session.”
“Well as you can obviously tell I have company,” he said very annoyed with her. Fluttershy couldn't help but think that they didn't get along very well. She was a bit uncomfortable but her feelings of jealousy faded.
“Well, we were supposed to practice yesterday but somepony decided to blow it off and spend the day slacking off!” Eve suddenly shouted. Moon Light was startled by this, but mostly he was embarrassed. He didn't want to fight in front of Fluttershy. He didn't want his last hours with her to be like this.
“I'm sorry,” Moon Light finally said after a long pause while looking at the ground. The two mares stood there not knowing which one he was talking to. But after he looked up and his gaze met Fluttershy she knew it was her.
“Oh, that's okay,” Fluttershy said trying to hide her pain. She lied, it wasn't okay, she wanted to spend every second of their last day together. She was about to leave when Eve spoke up.
“ You can come too, you know, if you want,” She said sympathetically. Fluttershy didn't know how to respond. She wanted to spend as much time with Moon Light as possible but she knew how much his music scared her.
“I don't think that's such a goo-” Moon Light tried to say but was interrupted with a unenthusiastic “Sounds like fun.” from Fluttershy. She was still unsure but she knew she didn't want to end it like that. They made their way through the grounds to the train. Fluttershy noticed that it was a lot less scary looking during the day. They then entered the main car. There were two stallions there waiting for them. One was very skinny, with a dark green coat and neon green mane, that was all spiked. His cutie mark was a bass guitar. The other was very tall and very buff Pegasus , and had a orange coat. But what really stood out was his mane, his long red hair covered most of his face. And His cutie mark were two drumsticks hitting a symbol.
“ Ahh, you found him,” said the green pony sounding annoyed, “ and here I was hoping to have another day off.”
The orange pony then gave him a firm slap on the back of the head, quickly shutting him up.
“Aren’t you going to introduce us?” the orange pony asked looking towards Fluttershy, at least she thought he was looking at her. It was hard to tell with all of his hair.
“Oh right,” Moon Light suddenly aware that he hadn't been introduced “ Fluttershy, These are the 2 others members of the band. The one who needs a haircut more than his next meal is Zildjian our drummer. And the puke colored slacker is Vicious our bassist. Guys this is Fluttershy.”
“Oh, so your Fluttershy,” Zildjian said suddenly realizing who she was “Nice to meet you Fluttershy, I've only heard good things about you.”
“ Oh, um thank you,” Fluttershy said embarrassed
“Yeah, thanks for getting the dictator off our backs yesterday, really needed a break.” Vicious chimed in followed by a another slap to the head from Zildjian.
“Anyway, know that I'm here we can get started,” Moon Light said, eager to keep his friends busy “ Fluttershy you can sit anywhere, okay.”
She nodded and took a seat on the couch in the room. She watched them set up, but her mind was elsewhere. She was still trying to think of a what to do about Moon Light leaving. She wanted him to stay but she knew she couldn't ask him to stay. And she couldn't go with him either, she had to take care of her animals. She was so distracted with her own thoughts that she didn't even notice that they had already started playing. The song they played was the same one that they started the concert with, and she had the same feeling of loneliness she did that night. That was followed by the feeling of pain and rage, and when she looked at Moon Light he looked different. He looked like he was in pain, just as much as the song felt. She hated seeing him like that, hated seeing him in pain. Eventually she couldn't take it anymore and let the familiar feeling of unconsciousness take her over.
