> 'Who I've Become' - Rarity > by spetsnaz pinkie pie > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- •Chapter 1• As I look back at my life I have no regrets , I lived my life as best as I could and in the end it was worth it. You see I was a generous man and I gave to those who were less fortunate than I was. Would it be preparing food for the homeless help build playgrounds for children even spare some change to those who need it, *chuckle* i got in alot of trouble when i put quarters in those time meters *sigh* but the greatest thing i ever did was saving that little girls life even if it cost me my own. It was during the summer season when the incident happened, it was just like every other day during the summer in Dallas, hot, sticky and people were angry they were always angry it's just to damn hot. But it also had to be that day that my car had to be in the shop, three in the afternoon was when i finished my work at gearbox studios and started my trek back home which was a good 15 miles away. (Now before you ask gearbox studios located in Plano, Tx luckily there is a bus system that runs from Plano to Dallas thank you dart buses.) Anywho my bus stop was located a few blocks away from my apartment and it so happens that my path would lead to one of the new playgrounds I help build, huh? Crazy I know. When I got off the bus I had put my hand up over head it really was a scorcher that day a good 102, 103 degrees, the only thing I could think of at the time was. Things to do once I'm home 1. Turn on Xbox 2. Grab food and drink 3. Play Crysis 3 and that was it that is what I had set my mind to do once I got home. But of course fate had other plans for me that day. As I walked to my apartment I was now on the block that held the children's playground with everything a kid could ask for swings, monkey bars, slides you name we built it. But there was one thing we should have built one thing that could protect the children. ...a fence. As I kept on walking I noticed a little girl on the other side of the street chasing ball I didn't pay much attention to her and just kept on walking until I heard a woman start yelling. "LILY STOP DON'T GO INTO THE STREET!" The little girl must not have heard her mother she kept chasing her ball the little girl ran after her ball trying to grab it but it always slipped out of her grasp, as the ball went into the street so did she. Down the road I noticed there was struck driving wildly on the paved road not caring for any lights or stop signs, as it got closer to the area of the playground I looked back to the girl that finally caught her ball she just stared it like it was about to jump out of her hands, I kept looking back and forth from the little girl to the truck. At that point I knew that girl would not have a chance in getting out of the way in time. In a split second I made a mad dash to the girl I sprinted as fast as I could, my plan was to pick her up and get her to the other side as safely as possible but like I said before fate had a better idea. I was just a few feet away from getting to the girl but the truck was getting closer and closer, as I took one more step it happened my ankle decided to roll on itself causing me to lose my balance. I had to make up my mi d then and there my life or hers, my life is good but she is young and has so many opportunities to do many things her life. My decision was made at the first chance I had I jumped pushing her out of the way leaving me to accept my fate. I felt it, all of it the impact of the truck crushing my body throwing me away like i was a simple bouncing ball, at the end of it i felt numb i couldn't feel the impact i had with paved road i just lied there waiting for death to take me I could still see through my eyes the people crowding around me I couldn't hear there words but they showed looks of horror across there faces. I wonder what will happen when death takes me? Where will I go? Is there a heaven or hell? All these thoughts are going through my mind as I wait for the reaper, I can feel my eyes growing weary my sight fading the people in vision become morphed blobs of pudding. I guess this is it oh well take me death I Lived well while I was here. The growing darkness enveloped me and took me away from the world I was once apart of. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Knock-knock-knock* "Rarity are you up yet?" A small screechy feminine voice asked behind a locked white and purple door. "Hmmm." was all that could be heard inside the bedroom. "Rarity come on I have to go to school and you haven't made breakfast yet!" the filly behind the door yelled. "Ugh! I'm coming Sweetie Belle just wait a second darling!" the white mare sleeping in side her bed said as she pushed her self off of said bed and made her way to the bedroom room. As she unlocked the door it slowly opened, waiting there was a little filly with her pure white coat and her two-toned mane colored white and pink, she wore a white frilly dress with a pair of sandals. And she also wore a scowl across her muzzle. Sweetie Belle looked to her sister Rarity, she wore a pink nightie that was capable of showing the black lace bra and panties she wore to bed, her usually gorgeous purple mane was a disaster from the late night designing, her blue eyes had heavy bags under them from lack of sleep, but her coat was still white like a diamond. "It's about time Rarity i have to be at school soon and you haven't made breakfast yet!" She screeched at her sister. "I'm dreadfully sorry darling i was up all night making a dress for Fluttershy when I simply lost track of the time ,oh do please forgive me Sweetie Belle." Rarity said bending down on her knees getting eye level with her sister. *Sigh* "I'm sorry for acting harsh Rarity it's just me and the girls really want our cutie marks and we've tried everything and that bully Diamond Tiara won't leave us alone about it." she said lowering her head as if she was a disappointment to herself. Rarity embraced her sister into hug showing everything will be alright. "Darling please you must be patient about receiving you're cutie mark, I know you and the others have been trying to find them for a couple of years now but receiving one's cutie mark does take time." she explained hugging her sister with a tighter grip. Sweetie Belle placed her head on her sisters shoulder during the hug. "You're right Rarity I just wish I knew what my special talent was." the filly opened her eyes and peered inside Rarity's room, but as she looked she caught the sight of something? "Hay Rarity?" "Yes darling?" Rarity said breaking their hug. With a look confusion on the the fillies muzzle Sweetie asked. "Why is there somepony in you're bed?" With a look of confusion of her own Rarity looked to her little sister and said. "What do you mean darling there is nopony in my bed?" Sweetie furrowed her brow and pointed inside her sisters room. "Yes there is look!" Rarity began turning around away from Sweetie Belle. "I'm telling you darling there is no pony in m-my." Rarity couldn't finish for she looked to her bed and saw a figure lying beneath her covers inside her bed. "AAAAAHHHHHH!" she screamed, Rarity has never been so scared after all the quests her and her friends have been on nothing as ever scared her more than finding some random pony in her bed. After she screamed the pony inside the bed hadn't moved, taking this chance Rarity walked to her closet and picked up her baseball bat. Normally she would never have such a brutish piece of equipment but with the rise of criminals in canterlot and Manehattan she kept it for safety purposes. Rarity slowly tiptoed to her bed hoping to not wake the sleeping figure. "Rarity what are you doing?" the filly by the door asked. "Sshhh quite Sweetie Belle I don't need whom ever this is to wake up!" As Rarity tiptoed right next to her bed she slowly raised her bat with her arms to beat whom ever dared to brake into her home, a blue sapphire color engulfed her horn and the cover's of the bed. Slowly she moved the covers away and what she first saw was it's mane, her heart started to beat faster, she kept moving the cover to show it's horn coming from its forehead, faster and faster her heart beat, she kept moving until she removed the covers away from it's muzzle. She didn't know what she was looking at, her breath caught into her throat and she felt like she couldn't breath, her aura around the cover collapsed as Rarity started backing away. Sweetie Belle still stood by the door she didn't know what was happening she was scared of what rarity saw for the look on her older sisters face showed worry and fear. "R-rarity what's going on what did you see?" Sweetie asked worried for her sister. "Sweetie Belle?" Rarity said she didn't look to her sister but kept her eyes on the figure in the bed. "Sweetie Belle I need you to go to the library and tell Twilight to come over as fast as she can and tell her to bring the others as well." Sweetie Belle was really scared now she didn't know what to think what to say but she left her sister their and raced off down the stairs and out the door with out saying a word back to Rarity. As the white mare that stood near her own bed listened to the front door slam shut, she could finally do what she wanted when she saw the face of the pony in her bed. *THUD* She fainted. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- •Chapter 2• Sweetie Belle slammed the front door of carousal boutique and ran with all her might straight to where she could find Twilight. At the Golden Oak's library The businesses and homes she past was only but a blur to her, the fillies goal was to get to library. Sweetie Belle ran and ran until she saw the giant tree cascading over the next hill. As the door to the library was but a few feet away she slowed down to hurriedly knock on the door. *KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK* 'Hurry Hurry Hurry!' *KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK* 'What the heck is taking her so long!' *BANG-BANG-BAM!* Sweetie Belle banged on the door to the library with all her might but as she went for the final hit the door swung open her fist caught the face of a purple and green baby dragon. "OW!" The baby dragon yelled "Sweetie Belle what the heck why did you hit me!" the dragon looked to the filly curiosity and anger. "I'm really sorry spike but I need to speak to Twilight it's an EMERGENCY!" Sweetie yelled the last part to show how serious she was. Spike loomed at Sweetie Belle to the stress on her face as she waited for Twilight a second later Spike ran straight from the door to the top of the stairs where librarians bed room was. *BANG-BANG-BANG* "Twilight something's wrong with Sweetie Belle she needs you're help!" he yelled behind Twilight's door. In a flash of white light Twilight teleported down to the lower level of the library. Mane deshelved Twilight looked to the filly at the door her face distraught with worry. "Sweetie Belle what's wrong has something happened!?" the purple mare stood in front of her with blue pajamas still on. "Twilight something's happened at Rarity's she asked me to come find you and for you to get the girls!" Twilight looked to her wandering what could be the problem at Rarity's. "Sweetie calm down. Now please tell me what's wrong?" Tears we're starting to well up inside her eye's Sweetie Belle began to explain what happened at the boutique. As Sweetie Belle told Twilight about what happened this morning the lavender mares face grew with worry of what could have happened to her fashionista friend, as Sweetie belle finished her story Twilight was starting to come up with a plan to help her friend. "SPIKE!" she yelled Spike broke away from his stupor from hearing Sweetie's story and walked straight up to Twilight. "Spike I need you to head to Fluttershy's cottage and tell her to go get Rainbow Dash and meet the rest of us at Carousel Boutique got it. With a salute to Twilight Spike ran off to Fluttershy's cottage to get the yellow Pegasus. "Ok Sweetie Belle lets go get Applejack she should be at the market by now and Pinkie Pie well you know where she is." "Ok l-lets go." With that the duo left the library and went to get their friends Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Once each friend was notified all five mares one filly and baby dragon stood outside of Carousel Boutique waiting for what to do next. "Alright y'all does anypony have a plan of what the heck we should do?" The apple farmer asked with her usual southern drawl. "Yea I got one!" Rainbow Dash quipped with a furrowed brow. "We go in there and kick the flank of who ever broke into Rarity's place and send them to the canterlot dungeons simple as that!" "Rainbow Dash that's not nice maybe this is all just a misunderstanding." the butter yellow coated Pegasus spoke back to her friend in her timid voice. "Fluttershy who ever is up their could have hurt Rarity aren't you worried about her!?" Rainbow said back to Fluttershy. Fluttershy squeaked in response everypony present looked to the timid Pegasus she really was worried for her spa buddy but she couldn't help but feel that all that was happening was just some misunderstanding. "Look I'm the only pony that has made a plan and I don't hear any objections so if we are going to do this we're going to do it now." Their were no objections to Rainbows plan the others there couldn't think if anything better. But before they go to kick the intruders flank first the group had to make sure that Rarity was ok. "All right is everypony Ready?" Twilight asked her friends a collection of 'Yes' 'Eeyup' and 'Of course' was said back to the lavender mare. "Spike I want you and Sweetie Belle to stay outside ok?" Spike looked to Twilight with a look that said 'Hell no' "What!? Rarity needs my help I'm not staying out here!" "Spike this is not up for discussion! You are staying here with Sweetie Belle and that's that if you even step one foot inside I will not let you see Rarity for a month!" Twilight yelled back to her number one assistant making sure that he knew the consequences of disobeying her. Spike looked into the eyes of the lavender mare knowing that she meant every bit of what she said. With a sigh the little dragon accepted Twilights proposal and promised not to go inside the boutique. "Ok good that's settles that alright who is going in first?" Rainbow Dash walked right past Twilight saying "Like you really need to ask." and went straight for the door. First the cyan Pegasus took point In front everypony there after her was the cowpony Applejack followed by Twilight, Pinkie Pie, then last but not least Fluttershy. After all five mares walked inside Carousel Boutique the door shut closed in front of the baby dragon and small filly. "I hope Rarity's ok?" Sweetie Belle sniffled back a tear worrying about her sister. "I hope so too Sweetie Belle I hope so too." Spike replied back to the scared filly. Inside the boutique the mares stayed quite while searching the lower level of the dress shop as they searched they couldn't find anything missing either it be clothes jewels food nothing everything was the same. "I don't understand nothing is missing? Everything is they way Rarity left it." Twilight spoke in a soft tone to her friends. "Forget that Twilight we still haven't found Rarity yet she could be tied up and hurt right now why are we still down here anyway?" "Now calm down sugar cube where making sure that nopony is down here but you're right we need to find Rarity, her room is at the end of the hall upstairs we need to get up there lickity split to see if she's okay." "Now where talking let's go I want to beat the creep who dares to hurt my friend!" Rainbow finished as she started heading for the stairs. One by one the girls headed up the stairs to get to Rarity's room, as they drew closer to her room they noticed that the door was ajar and that their was no sound emitting from inside the fashionista's room. Since Rainbow Dash was the first to take lead she was the one to peak inside the dressmakers bedroom, as she looked she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, there was somepony sleeping inside the bed but she chalked that up as Rarity sleeping, but as she kept looking something caught her attention as she looked closer she noticed what looked like a pair feet beside the bed. That alone told her enough that something wasn't right, with a mighty kick she sent the bedroom door into the adjacent wall, she ran a short distance to the body lying beside the bed as she rounded the bed post she saw that Rarity was lying on the floor. She was unconscious with a bat laying next to her. "GIRLS!" Rainbow yelled "Its Rarity she's unconscious." all the girls came up next to rainbow to the sight of Rarity lying on her bedroom floor. "Twilight ya think you can wake her up?" Applejack asked while she stood by her unconscious friend. "I see what I can do AJ but I'm not really sure?" "Oh, oh I know what can wake Rarity up just wait one eensty weensty second I'll be right back." In a flash the pink party pony left to Celestia knows where leaving the others to tend to the fallen mare. "That freaking pony did this to her!" Rainbow said with venom, through gritted teeth she picked herself up and picked the bat that lied right by the sleeping white mare. "Woah there Rainbow what the hay do you think you're doing?" "What do you think AJ I'm going to beat this pony to tartarus!" "Rainbow wait!" Applejack yelled to the cyan Pegasus but it was to late rainbow was already to the side of the pony inside the bed, she raised the bat high above her head ready strike but as she looked to the sleeping pony in the bed she was shocked at what she saw. Rainbows anger was gone what replaced was sheer confusion, as she looked at the pony. The bat in her hands slowly slipped away as it made it's way to the bedroom floor. With a loud *CLANG* the bat hit the floor startling the ponies that stood by the unconscious seamstress. Applejack kept her gaze to the rainbow maned Pegasus the look on her face told her that something was off. Rainbows face showed no signs of hostility or anger it was just voided of all emotions which was rare for her, Applejack made her way to the other side of the bed where Rainbow was. She was curious of what Rainbow was looking at. Her jaw dropped when Applejack looked at the pony in the bed, just the same as Dash her but instead of anger in her eyes there was curiosity but it was replaced with confusion the second her eyes caught site of the pony. The farm pony simply stood next to her friend looking at the pony in the bed, her mouth kept opening and closing she tried to form words but none could escape her lips the both of them stood there for what seemed like an eternity but was only a minute or so. Applejack still couldn't speak but was able to brake her gaze away from the pony she left the side of the bed and walked straight to Twilight grabbing her arm and pulling straight to the bed. "Applejack what the hay are you doing I'm trying to wake up Rarity!?" Twilight was upset with the blonde mare from pulling her away from their friend but what Twilight needed to see was more a bit more important. Applejack brought Twilight straight to the side of the bed with the sleeping pony in it, with force Twilight removed her hand from the farm pony's grasp and started to badger her friend. "AJ what is so important you had to drag me away from Rarity she needs our help!?" Applejack didn't answer she couldn't she was still unable to speak from what she saw, all Applejack could do was lift up her hand and point at the pony in the bed. Twilights glare subsided from the farm pony to look at what she was pointing too, their she saw what her friends we're seeing. Their inside the bed laid a pony no not just any pony this pony was female she had a pure white coat as white as diamonds her violet mane was beautifully fashioned into curl, the blankets that once hid her body from view were cast aside showing her perfect hourglass figure she had a large bust very supple, well toned and perky, her nipples were small a soft violet same color has her mane, her flank that alone could make any stallion turn his head. If you would to ask one he would say it would remind him of those sweet juicy apples from Sweet Apple Acres. If a stallion was there he would have no problem in getting excited over the sleeping mare but their was no stallion there only the six mares two unconscious, one attending to one of the sleeping mares and three whom have been in a dumbfounded and shocked state over the mare sleeping inside the bed. Twilight was trying to speak but all she could do was open and close her mouth has if she was a fish out of water. She closed her eyes as she began to collect herself from what she saw, Twilight slowly walked away from the bed as she tried to think of what she just saw she racked her brain trying to find an answer but she couldn't she slowly turned around and spoke. "How? How is this possible? How can their be two Rarity's!?" > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 3 The discovery was unsettling to Twilight. To find one of your best friends lying unconscious in there own room was one small part. But the straw that broke the camels back was what she found inside the bed. Twilight paced around the room racking her brain trying to understand something of this caliber being possible. 'None of this makes any logical sense! The possibilities of there being two of the same pony is an equational impossibility. Everypony is born with their own unique talents and features. Even if a pony went into cosmetic surgery there is the fact that even with today's level of science and the equality of a plastic surgeons work one cannot remove, redesign or even remake a cutie mark.' 'And not to mention that even with the most powerful levels of magic, it itself cannot do such a thing. There's transformation magic but even then, when the caster becomes unconscious the spell would dissipate and the caster would turn back into their original form. And changelings! They are the only creatures to be able to keep a spell going even when they fall unconscious. But. If this mare is a changeling why would she sleep in Rarity's bed? Why didn't she hide Rarity like Chrysalis did with Cadence? I can't make heads or tails of this situation. I-I should contact the princess. If this mare is a changeling then we need to get her into the custody of the royal guards.' Twilight snapped her fingers as she thought of what to do next. " So that's what we'll do. Girls?" Twilight looked over to see that Fluttershy was still tending to the unconscious Rarity lying on the floor dabbing a wet cloth on the unicorns forehead. Next she saw that both Applejack and Rainbow Dash were still staring at the unconscious look-a-like of Rarity in the bed. Both mares still holding looks of shock and uneasiness'. Twilight walked over to her friends and quickly pulled them away from the bed, to snap them out of their daze. "Girls! Snap out of it!" Twilight bellowed to her two friends as their attention to the pony in the bed was replaced to pony standing before them. "Woah!" Applejack exclaimed. "Ugh! Mighty thanks ta ya sugarcube I ain't really sure what in the hay gotten in ta me, but thanks for doin' what ya did." "Y-yeah thanks Twilight. Ugh! This really weird!" "Ya got that right Rainbow. Just how in the hay can there be two Rarity's? I mean look at them they look exactly the same from head ta toe... Ya know if I didn't know better I'd a guess she was a changeling!" "A-a changeling?" Rainbow muttered back. "But I thought the spell from the wedding sent all of them back to the badlands?" "Apparently not, Rainbow." Twilight retorted. "The spell may have worked but that doesn't mean that a few of the changelings could have escaped the blast. Also girls. Don't you find it strange? Why would a changeling turn into Rarity only to fall asleep next to her? That doesn't make any sense!" Both mares standing beside Twilight mulled this over as they thought about what the unicorn said. "I got ta say that is mighty strange for a changeling ta do?" "You got that right!" Rainbow said back. "So... What ya reckon we should do? Ya think we should contact the princesses?" "Yes I do. But first we need to make sure if the changeling wakes up we need to take precautions so she doesn't try to escape. Applejack you have you're rope?" "Right here Twi." The apple farmer said as she hoisted the rope around her arm. "Ok good, Applejack I want you to tie up the Rarity inside the bed, so she doesn't escape. I'm going to head back to library so I can send a message to Celestia explaining what's happening here in Ponyville. Also if the real Rarity wakes up I want you both to try and keep her calm until I get back, if she starts asking questions just say that Twilights working on it. But if the other Rarity wakes up I want you to get information on why she's here. I don't care how ok, if there is a possibility of another changeling attack the princesses need to know." Both Applejack and and Rainbow Dash gave their friend a smile as they began heading to the unconscious Rarity inside the bed. "You can count on us Twi!" Rainbow assured her friend as she picked up a nearby chair placing it in front the bed. "Ya got that right sugar cube, no way no how we'll let ya down." "Thanks girls. Another thing, Pinkie left a while ago saying she had something that could hopefully wake Rarity up? I thought she would be back by no-" "I'm back~!" Pinkie sung as she stood next to the now frightened Twilight Sparkle. "Gahh!!! Pinkie! Don't do that, you nearly gave me a heart attack!" The lavender mare chided to the bouncing pink party pony. "Oopsy. Sorry Twilight." "It's ok Pinkie. Did you get what you needed to wake Rarity up?" She said with questioning brow. "Yep, sure did. I have right~ here." she said as she produced a small vile from her mane. Twilight took the vile from the pink earth mare and studied the contents that resided inside. "So... What is this Pinkie?" Twilight asked as she looked at the white crystallized powder inside the vile. "It's smelling salt silly filly." "Smelling salt? Pinkie why do you have this? Usually only paramedics have these." "W-well." Pinkie's attitude began to change as a a red blush began to adorn her muzzle. "S-sometimes the Cakes have to use it on me when I-I have a-a sugar crash." The pink mare's muzzle was painted deeply red from embarrassment from having to explain why she would have such a thing. "Well... That makes sense. Anyway I'm going to head back to the library to inform the princess of what's going on, I want you to wake up the real Rarity first." She said pointing to the white unconscious unicorn being treated by Fluttershy. "After that I want you to wake up the other one as well. She's a changeling and I want answers to why she tried to replace the real Rarity." "No proplemo Twilight." "Hey Pinkie!" Rainbow yelled as she stood next to the Rarity inside the bed. "Come here and give me hand Applejack is getting the rope ready." "okie, dokie, lokie." She said as she bounced her way to the bed. "Okay girls I shouldn't be gone long, remember Applejack. Rainbow. Find out everything you can when she wakes up, I should be back in 10, 15 minutes. Good luck girls." With that said Twilight quickly made her way out of the bedroom and down the boutiques staircase. As Twilight exited the boutique she was confronted by the two children she instructed two stay outside incase anything were to happen inside the fashionista's home. "Twilight! Is everything ok!?" "Did anything bad happen!?" "Is Rarity ok!?" The look upon Sweetie Belles muzzle was one of distraught, same going for Spike. Tears beginning to whelm in the filly unicorns eyes . It has been over an hour since the girls went inside the boutique, and during that time the little unicorn filly grew more frantic with each passing minute. Twilight could see the worry on the small unicorns muzzle. She was worried for her big sister, Rarity was all she had in terms of family there in Ponyville. She couldn't fathom the thought of losing her big sister. "Everything is fine Sweetie, the girls are taking good care of Rarity. I'm on my way back to the library why don't you come with us, I'll even let you and Spike have some ice cream while I write a letter to the princess. Does that sound ok?" Sweetie began to sniffle a little as she tried to compose herself in front of Twilight. "O-o-ok I-I guess." "Alright let's head to the library for that ice cream."Twilight proposed as she walked away from Carousel Boutique taking the path fastest to Golden Oak's Library. The remainder of the small trip was met in silence as the two pony's and single baby dragon made their way to the Library. Pushing the door open Twilight made her way inside the Library and into the main room, Spike and Sweetie Belle tailing behind her. "Ok you two go ahead and head into the kitchen, pick out whatever ice cream you want. I'll be here incase you need me." Sweetie and Spike gave Twilight a nod as they made their way into the kitchen, to begin their task in the eating of the ice creams. Twilight gave a sigh as she went over to the small table that stood in the center of the Library's lounge room. There she grabbed a piece of parchment and quill. Twilight began to compose the letter to best fit what has been happening recently in Ponyville. Detailing what she found at her friends boutique, her findings of a changeling inside said boutique. She asked for a small group of Royal Guards to come to Ponyville to apprehend the offending changeling. With the letter finished, Twilight stamped the scroll with an urgent seal and with the soft purple aura surrounding the scroll it vanished in a small white light as it left the lavender unicorns hand. Minutes passed as Twilight waited for a reply from her mentor. Three minutes became five, as five became ten. As she paced the floors of the library's lounge room a large white flash emitted from the far side of the room blinding the purple mare. As the blinding light died, there in the room stood her mentor Princess Celestia ruler of the sun dire-arch of Equestria and with her, her sister Princess Luna ruler of the moon also the dire-arch of Equestria. And with them a small squad of Royal Guards. "P-p-princess Celestia, Princess Luna!" Twilight loudly exclaimed as she took a knee and bowed to her mentor. "I only asked for a few Royal Guards. I didn't think you would personally come!?" The sun placed a soft smile over her muzzle as she spoke to her student. "Rise my faithful student you have no need to bow." Twilight stood back up on to her two legs as she smiled to her mentor. Celestia smile had changed into scowl as she spoke once again. "Twilight we have come to apprehend the changeling in question, and we do not wish to waist much time, if there is a possibility of another attack against my little ponies then we must act accordingly. Please my student take us to it." "Yes Twilight lead us to this foul beast so we may rid of it!" Princess Luna proclaimed as she as well held scowl over features like her sister. "O-o-of course princess! Right away. But there's a small problem Spike and Sweetie Belle are here and they are to young to be alone." Celestia raised her hand in stopping Twilight from going on. "Say no more my student, I will have one of my guards watch over them for the time being." This brought a smile to the lavender unicorn as she gave Celestia her thanks. "You're quite welcome Twilight. Corporal Whirlwind!" She announced. The guard walked up to the princess giving both the princesses a bow. "Yes my Princess?" "Corporal I ask they you stay here and watch the young ones until we return, do you understand?" The guard gave Celestia a salute as he acknowledge her request. "Yes my princess I will do as you command." "Thank you Corporal. Now. Let us be off I wish to question this changeling personally." One by one the princesses left the Golden Oak's Library followed by Twilight Sparkle and the Royal Guards. The group was silent as they passed the properties adorning the streets of Ponyville. There was nothing much to say, there was a changeling inside the small country town and as for now no pony knew what the changelings could be planning. The silence lasted not to much longer as Twilight was the one to begin asking questions as the boutique was coming into view. "Princess Celestia I have a question. What will you do with changeling once you apprehend her?" Celestia sighed as she began to answer her students question. "Twilight my student Changelings have been barred from entering Equestria for over One thousand years. Depending on the actions this changeling has taken, she will be either banished from the land or sent to the Gallows." Twilight visibly flinched when the Gallows were mention. "But Princess I-isn't using the Gallows a bit much!?" "Twilight does thou remember the many guards we lost that day of our nieces wedding?" Twilight gulped as she slowly gave the Lunar Princess a nod as she remembered the many guards that lied dead in the streets of Canterlot. "Then thou must realize the precautions we as the Princesses of Equestria must take to keep our fair country safe." Twilight hung her head as she stepped up to the door of Carousel Boutique. She could never forget that day for the rest of her life. The many guards that died protecting the innocent ponies that fled for their lives. Even the girls themselves fought for their lives as they tried to acquire the 'Elements of Harmony' before they were inevitable captured by the changelings. "I understand." The lavender mare said with a sorrow tone. "These creatures killed the many brothers and sisters that served to protect Canterlot. If the crimes this changeling as committed is worth being sent to the Gallows then so be it." Twilight slowly opened the door to Carousel Boutique and made her way inside, the princesses following right behind her. The lavender mare found herself by the stairs as she heard the faint sounds of shouting coming from one of the rooms above. "P-p-please S-stop!" That voice she couldn't shake it. That voice sounded like Rarity. With a small boost of energy Twilight climbed the staircase and raced down the hallway where the fashionista's room was located. There she found the door slightly ajar, were she could hear multiple voices coming from inside. Slowly she pushed the door open only to see her friends crowded around the mare tied down to a chair. "Girls?" She questioned as she walked up to her friends. There she stood right her friends. The others turned their heads to see Twilight standing behind them with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna standing beside the lavender mare. "P-p-princess!" They loudly exclaimed as the mares fully turned and bowed to their benevolent rulers. Celestia stepped forward to the group and raised her hand. "Rise my little ponies." The girls stood once again to face their benevolent rulers but the two princesses had stepped forward to face the suspected changeling. They were surprised to see that the changeling hasn't reverted back into her original form. The look-a-like Rarity sat tied to the chair her mane deshelved, face bruised, nose bloody and most likely broken, her left eye was swollen shut, as her right arm was dislocated from her injuries. "Girls. Were you able to find anything? Anything at all?" The Solar Princess questioned her subjects as she and the younger Princess circled around the Look-a-like. The mares looked to one another knowing they failed to attain any information for their princesses. One by one each mare hung their heads in disappointment in themselves for failing. "P-princess Celestia. Were, were mighty sorry Princess, we'd done all we could but..." The Lunar Princess stopped the orange earth pony from speaking. Knowing from the looks that came across the Elements they were not able to find anything from the intruder. "Tis fine fair Applejack. You all are safe and that is what truly is important to us. We as the Princesses of Equestria shall proceed in this interrogation hence forth." "Luna is right. It is our duty to protect our faithful subjects. We failed to do so when the changelings first attacked. We shall not make the same mistake again! Come little sister let us proceed." Both Princesses walked close the intruder, they could see the tears falling from the look-a-likes muzzle, she began muttering something incomprehensible to the ponies before her as she slowly rocked herself back and forth. "Listen to me changeling." Celestia began as she scowled to the look-a-like in front of her. "Revert back. I will not let you sully the form of one of my dear subjects." The mare in question sat in the chair still rocking herself back and forth as she cried. The words she spoke before were now becoming more clear the more spoke of them. "This is a dream. This is a dream. This is a dream. This is a dream." The fire in Celestia's eyes began to grow as she felt her words were ignored by the changeling. "I said revert back! Or I shall be the one to force you! Changeling!" The venom coming from the Solar Princess began to scare the 'Elements behind her along with her Royal Guards. But even still the mare didn't stir from her frantic state in the slightest bit, as she began rocking herself back and forth faster, her tears cascading down her muzzle with much greater speed. Celestia had enough in being ignored once again. She began to ball her hand up into a fist so she could strike the offending cretin that dared to ignore her order. Celestia began to pull her fist back to strike the changeling only to be held back by her younger sister. "Celestia what are thou doing!" Luna yelled at Celestia as she let go of her sisters arm. "This no way for thou to act! Look at your subjects. See at what your anger is doing!" Celestia turned away from the tied up changeling and looked to the elements standing far behind her. There she saw them. The fear in their eyes. They coward behind one another as they stared at the Solar Princess. The fire in Celestia's eyes extinguished with the sight before her. How can she do such a thing? Her subjects were suppose to love her, not cower before her. Celestia's face fell as tears began to well up in her eyes. "I'm-I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me." "Tis alright Tia." Luna began as she wrapped her sister in a hug. "Anger sometimes gets the better of us. We know that first hand." Luna released Celestia from her hug and backed away. A lone tear cascaded down Celestia's muzzle as she looked to the Elements. "I'm sorry you all had to see that. I let my anger get the best of me. I will not let that happen again." From the side of the room where the 'Elements of Harmony' stood a lone mare walked forward and looked to the Solar Princess. "Hay come on Princess." A scratchy came from the rainbow maned mare Standing in front of her friends. "I would be lying if I said this thing didn't make me angry when she didn't answer our questions." "Rainbow Dash is right darling. This cretin has been nothing but a nuisance since the beginning. And she has the gall to transform into me! Well I never." Celestia giggled at Rarity's antic. She wiped the tears from her face as she brought a smile to her face once again. "Thank you my little ponies for cheering me up." Celestia sighed to herself as she turned around to face the look-a-like. "But now we still need to understand why the changeling came here? Hmmm." "Something on your mind dear sister?" Luna asked stepping next to Celestia. The Solar Princess gave a nod as she began Channeling magic through her horn. "Yes Luna I am going to revert the changeling back to there original form." A golden aura shot out from Celestia's horn sending it straight the look-a-like Rarity creating a golden dome that incased the tied up mare. "AAAAHHHHHH!!!" Screams of excruciating pain broke the silence in the room. Luna and the Elements looked to Celestia wondering what was happening only to see that the Solar Princesses was only staring at the golden dome with a frightful look upon her face. This scared Luna a bit, she has never seen her elder sister with such look in the years they have been together. "Sister! What's wrong!? What's happening!?" "No! No! This can't be right we were sure she was a changeling! There is no possible way she couldn't be!" Luna grabbed her sister by the shoulder and turned her away from the golden dome. "Celestia! What in Faust's name is a happening!? Why is the Changeling screaming!?" "There's no time to explain! Luna help me dispel the dome!" Celestia began charging the magic in her horn once again but this time to dispel the dome the circled the mare inside. Blue aura began to emit from Luna's horn as she too began to do the same. Both the gold and blue auras began to dance around the dome causing a bright flash to emit from the golden dome as it slowly broke away piece by piece. The screaming began to die down as the last of pieces of the dome drifted away like dust in the wind. Wheezing could be heard from the center of where the dome once circled. There in the middle of the black scorch marked floor laid the tortured mare. Parts of her fur was singed, as her mane seemed as it was scorched by fire. The mare began to convulse heavily as blood began to pour out of her mouth. "No! What have I done!? Hurry we must get her to the hospital!" Celestia quickly took the convulsive mare into her arms and began to charge horn once again. Another bright flash filled the room, as quickly as it came it vanished along with it the Celestia and the mare she held in her arms. *Location - Canterlot Hospital* A large flash of golden light erupted inside the center the E.R. Of Canterlot Hospital. The ponies that were doing their daily rounds halted in there tracks as they caught site of the large dome of light. But as quickly as it came it vanished leaving two figures. One a tear stained princess and in her arms an injured mare convulsing from shock, bits of blood still pouring from her open maw. "Somepony please help us!!!" Celestia yelled. A doctor ran passed the few ponies that stood still and gaped at the princess standing at the center of the lounge area. "NURSE!!! He yelled. "Quickly grab a stretcher! Princess let me take her!" The brown colored unicorn stallion said as he took the broken mare away from the Celestia and into his arms. He placed the convulsing mare onto a nearby cart and quickly whisked her away from the lounge area and into one of the operating rooms in the E.R. Celestia fell to her knees as tears began to fall from her muzzle. Blood soaking into her white silk dress. The Solar Princess realized that the one they all suspected to be changeling in fact wasn't. If she was the spell wouldn't have caused the mare to reeve in pain. "Faust please forgive me." Celestia let her tears fall as she waited for any news from the doctors about the mare's condition. She felt so bad of what had happened to the poor mare she didn't realize that her sister along with the Elements were walking up behind her. Luna slowly crept her midnight blue hand forward before placing it on her sisters shoulder. "Sister." The Lunar Princess said with worry in her voice. "Celestia is thou alright? Is everything ok?" Celestia began shaking her head as more tears fell from her eyes. "No Luna nothing is okay. She wasn't a changeling Lulu. She was... Is a real pony." "But Tia how can that be? She resembles the unicorn Rarity element of generosity, but she is right here with us. Are you sure that the one the medical ponies are treating is not a changeling?" "Luna." Celestia began as she stood back up looking to the younger alicorn. "I have had to use that same spell many times over twelve hundred years ago before the changelings were barred from returning to Equestria. In that time there was only two outcomes to what would happen when I would use such a spell. The first being, if a changeling were to be in disguise when the spell took place it would dispel the changelings magic, reverting it back into it's original form. The second..." The Solar Princess paused as her voice began to quiver. "The second was that if the spell was used on a normal pony then they would be put into excruciating pain until the spell dissipated over time or was dispelled by the caster." "But this still begs the question. How? It is not possible for there to be two of the same pony's. Even if they were twins? The cutie mark alone defies one pony from being the same as a another. And yet you saw the same as I did that she had three diamonds on her flank." "I know Lulu. I'm trying to understand this myself. Maybe I can..." Celestia was interrupted by a pair of doors leading to the operation room swinging open and the brown stallion from before walking through heading straight to the princesses. "Princess Celestia, Princess Luna thank you for being here." "How is she Doctor?" Celestia questioned "It is hard to say my Princess. But... I don't know what happened to this mare but she was severely beaten. If you didn't come when you did I don't think she would still be alive." Celestia hung her head realizing she and the elements had placed the mare on the brink death because of their actions. "Her right arm is dislocated, we can fix that in a matter of seconds. Her broken nose will take two or three days to heal using magic. Her left eye is swollen shut but it will go down by the end of the week. But... I'm a afraid I have some bad news..." "What is it Doctor Heartbeat. Please tell me!" Celestia asked as tears began to well up in her eyes once again. Doctor Heartbeat gave somber sigh as he continued. "She's in a coma now. Whatever trauma she faced before arriving was one I wish she never goes through again. Whatever happened to her caused her to go into shock, which would explain the convulsions and we also believe that it to was the cause of her internal bleeding." "No!" Celestia said with a whisper as the tears fell again down her muzzle. "I'm sorry Princesses we've done all we can at the moment. She's stabilized but still in rough condition. We placed her in the intensive care unit down the hall. You may enter if you wish but please do be careful with her." Luna stepped forward from beside her sister to face Doctor Heartbeat. "You have out thanks Doctor Heartbeat. We shall proceed when we are ready." The brown stallion bowed before the Lunar Princess before he took his leave to begin checking on his remaining patients. Luna turned around to face her elder sister only to find that Celestia was gone. If the swinging doors were any indication of where she went, then the Solar Princess sped off to the intensive care unit to find the comatose mare. Luna along with the Elements began walking to the intensive care unit trying to find their Solar Princess. They passed many rooms where ponies laid in there beds connected to machines that without them they would surely die from their illness or injuries." "Oh my goodness these poor ponies!" A timid voice broke out as the group passed through the ward. "Tis such a sad sight to so my little ponies in such pain. Ever since the Changeling invasion, crime as risen in some parts of Equestria. The most crucial places are in the most populated cities, cities such as Las Pegasus, Manehatten, Van Hoover and also here in Canterlot." "But why Princess Luna?" Twilight spoke up to the Lunar Princess. "After all these years of peace, crime had never been this rampant before save for crimes such as petty theft. But... Why?" "Tis because ponies are scared now Twilight. They fear that another attack will come without warning such as the last. And because of that fear they will do anything they can to stay safe, even if it causes the lives of others. Twilight was beginning to follow up with another question but she was silenced when the group hears the sound of sobbing coming from the room down the hall. Quickly the seven mares made their way to the room, only to find the door closed. Twilight placed her hand on the knob and began to twist letting the door give an audible click before she pushed the door open. There were only two beings in the room. Celestia and the comatose Rarity look-a-like. Celestia was in a fit of sobbing as she ran one hand through the mares chard mane, placing the other on the mares hand. The group stepped forward audible click and clacks of there shoes didn't rouse the Solar Princess from where she was. Celestia began taking deep breaths as she began to steady herself for the what would come next. "I-I should have known." Celestia spoke not taking her eyes away from the mare in the bed. "I should have used a detection spell from the beginning, but I let my fear and anger cloud my mind." Celestia slowly turned away from the mare and looked to the group behind her. Luna and the others could see her tear stained muzzle and her red blood shot eyes that quivered on the brink of letting loose once again. "We almost killed her... I almost killed her." Luna stepped ahead of the others and brought her saddened sister in to hug as tears began to cascade down Celestia's muzzle. "It is okay dear sister, we all make mistakes I know that one for a fact myself. Listen Tia there is not much we can do for her now, except to be here when she awakens." Celestia broke the hug and began to sniffle a bit as she wiped the tears away from her eyes. "You are right little sister, but there is something I must do first." Celestia stepped away from her sister and went back to the bed side if the comatose mare. "What does thou plan to do Tia?" Luna asked. "There is still a question that is plaguing my mind. Who is this mare? And why does she look like you Rarity? ...I must know." The Solar Princess Brought her horn to the temple of the mare inside the bed and began to channel her magic to begin the spell. In Celestia's mind pieces of information began to connect to one another as she searched through the mares mind. Seconds passed and the Solar Princess found many strange things inside the mares mind. Technology that was decades ahead of what the ponies if Equestria had. There she saw beautifully crafted horseless carriages. Flying metal objects that flew in the open sky. Another thing she found where the ponies that had ever came in contact with the mare. But something was wrong these were vastly different? They had no fur upon there bodies except for the manes on top of their heads, these ponies were not as colorful as the ones from Equestria. There ears where not onto of their heads more on the side. There eyes were smaller like ones for predator. 'Wait!?' Celestia thought 'I've heard of these types of ponies before, but... Where?' Celestia continued her search. She found the memory of a large library, where in front of her were payload of books adorning a small table. She read titles of a few before she came upon a very large book. 'Hmmm. Human Rights - a gui- WHAT!!!' In a split second Celestia's memories began to fill on what those ponies actually where. 'No! This can't be! Humans have been extinct for millions years! There must be something here that can help me understand this.' Celestia searched again trying to find anything to reason why this mare had images of a lost civilization in her memories. It wasn't long until the Solar Princess found the memory she was searching for. The scene before her was beautiful to say the least. In her view was a city street with large buildings that towered over the alicorn princess, the horseless carriages that adorned the city street. The sounds laughter caught the alicorns attention. She looked around her surroundings and found a few small fillies laughing and smiling as they began playing in an open park. The sight before brought a smile upon the princesses face as she watched the little fillies play. Celestia began looking around once more searching for something that could give her a clue as to why she was here. There in the corner of her eye she caught the site of tall human walking down the city street. As the human walked closer to her, she could see details in the humans appearance. 'This human is definitely a stallion. From what I gathered mares here are as the same as mares in Equestria. This stallion has a short brown mane on top of his head, a broad chest. His muzzle has a rugged look to it with it's small beards growing around the jaw line. Oh my if I didn't know better I would say he was quite handsome.' As the human passed Celestia she couldn't help but stare at the stallion before the cries of a mare from across the street caught the alicorns attention along with the human beside her. Both the princess and the human turned to find a small girl running to the street chasing after a bouncing red ball. Again in the corner of Celestia's eye she could see the human looking to her direction but not directly to her. Celestia turned her head the same as the human and watched as a large horseless carriage began speeding through the streets. The yelling continued from across the street. Turning her head once again Celestia could see that the little filly still hasn't moved from where she stood in the street. The Solar Princess looked back and forth between the carriage and the little filly. She gasped and realized what was about to happen. Celestia began charging her horn to push the filly out of the way, only to have said spell pass through her. 'Of course this only but a memory.' Although Celestia was not able to protect the filly from harm. That didnt mean the human beside her couldn't. She watched as the stallion before her dashed forward in an attempt to protect the small filly from the large carriage. The carriage was closing in fast but with the speed stallion was running at Celestia had no doubt he would make in time. Until the unexpected happened. Celestia saw the stallion right foot give way causing him to falter forward. With one last push off of his good leg the stallion was able to push the little filly out of harms way just before the carriage collided with the young stallion. 'NO!!!' Celestia screamed as she watched the stallion body flying through the air. She stood there in a trance looking over the broken body of the stallion that sacrificed himself. She was so lost at the time she couldn't see the world around her begin to dull and slowly turn black, the buildings and carriages beginning to turn into dust. As the ponies that surrounded the body began to wither away from sight. The magical flow from Celestia's horn began to die as she slowly took her horn away from the mares temple. She couldn't help but let the tears gal from eyes once again. 'That was you wasn't it?' She said in thought 'You let yourself die to save that fillies life... Only once have I seen such a form of generosity before. But I'm still curious. Why did you come here? Why did you become a mare that already exists? It truly does not make any sense to me. Maybe in time we will understand why this happened to you... I'm, I'm so sorry of what we did to you as well. I promise I'll find a way to make things right between us, between al of us.' "Princess!?" Twilight spoke seeing her mentor looking iver the comatose mare. "Princess did you learn anything?" "Yes sister did thou find anything?" Celestia wiper her tears away as she turned to the others behind her. "Yes I most certainly did Lulu. Come let us head to castle I will explain everything on the way there. And let me say what I have to say will shock all of you." One by one each mare left the room. Celestia walked out of the room and was beginning to close the door. But before she did she took one last look to the mare inside and sighed. "May Faust watch over you little pony." > Chapter 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4 Two weeks had passed since the comatose mare was brought to the canterlot hospital. Nothing had changed since those days passed. Her snout was fixed from it's broken appearance along with her dislocated shoulder, the swelling from her left eye had gone down significantly, the only thing that remained from that first day was her black eye. Everyday for those two weeks, Celestia and Luna would take an hour of there time, day or night to check on the alabaster mare. There was no new progress as of late, this made Celestia feel so ashamed of herself, she hoped the comatose mare would wake soon. She just wanted to make everything right. During the night of the beginning of the third week, the alabaster mare that lied onto the hospital bed began to stir from her slumber her left hand began to shake softly as her gentle sapphire eyes slowly opened. 'W-were am I?' she said in thought. She began to look around the room only to see small blobs in her vision. She groaned in discomfort as she slowly moved her right arm to her face. 'Why does my body hurt so much?' The mare thought as she began to rub her eyes. The beeping of the heart monitor went unnoticed as she laid in the bed in thought. 'That was one scary dream. What were those things? I have never seen anything like them in my life. They were female I knew that. But what was strange was that they had ears and faces like horses, but they seemed... Different? There eyes were very large possibly cartoonish in a sense. And they didn't have skin but fur on there bodies... That truck must have really done some damage to me. How is it that I'm still alive?' The mare took her hand away from her eyes and began to move it upward to comb back her mane only to strike her horn with a small bit a force causing the alabaster mare to yelp in pain. "Ouch! That hurt! What in the world did I just hit!?" Quickly the mare shut her mouth from hearing the sound of her voice speak out. 'What the hell was that!? That wasn't my voice!' The mare began to hyperventilate a bit increasing her heart rate and causing the heart monitor to beep a bit faster. A minute passed when a a thought came to her. 'M-maybe it's just a sore throat? I just need a glass water, that should bring my voice back to normal.' She began to look around the room once more. It was dark but she could tell exactly where she was. The alabaster mare looked to her left to find the heart monitor beeping away as the IV dripped from the bag and into the small tube that was hooked to her left arm. 'Thank goodness I'm in a hospital... I-I wonder how long I've been here?' The mare in the bed began to look around again, searching for a light source she could use to help her. It was still to dark for her to see anything. She moved her right arm out hoping to find a lamp near bye. But as her arm stretched to it's full length she felt her delicate fingers hit something hard. It was to dark to tell, but if the sound of glass shattering on the tile floor was anything, she knew she had possibly hit a glass lamp or maybe a glass pitcher. 'Oh darn it! Now why in the world did I do that!?' Not a minute passed when the mare in the hospital bed heard the sound of woman's heels clacking on the tile floor outside her door. A light knocking was heard before the knob on the door began to twist and swivel open. There at the threshold of the open door stood a silhouette of a woman. Her features being obscured by the bright florescent light coming from the hospital corridor. "Oh goodness you're awake! We were hoping when you would come too." Before the alabaster mare could respond, a bright flash filled the room causing her to quickly shut her eyes from the stinging pain she felt. "Oh my! I'm so sorry miss, I shouldn't have done that!" The mare in the bed began to rub her eyes once again, ignoring the last part of what the person in front of her said. That clacking of her heels sounded once again as she moved closer to the left side of the bed. "Oh dear, there's seems to have been an accident. Not a problem it will only take a second to clean up." Hearing the person next to her bed, she slowly opened her eyes trying to adjust to the bright lighting in her room. She looked to her right seeing the figure in her vision. As she blinked her eyes a few times the figure before her became more detailed in it features. She didn't need her eyes to know that the person before her was female, but as she looked closely to the woman she found a most trouble sight before her. 'No!' Was her immediate thought. 'No! NO! NO! NO! S-she can't be real! She looks like one of those monsters f-from my dream!' The alabaster mare began to hyperventilate as her eyes grew wide from looking to the thing in front of her. This action did not go unnoticed from the mare in front of her. The nurse looked back to the now awakened patient to find hyperventaling for some reason. Quickly she placed her hands the unicorns shoulders asking her to stay calm. "Please ma'am stay calm everything is all right." The words the nurse spoke had no affect. The mare in the began to scream at the top of her lungs as she tried to swat away the creature? That held her down. The nurse did all she could but still the hysteric mare wouldn't listen. As the screaming continued more nurses and even a few doctors came rushing into hysteric mare's room wanting reason for the disturbance. "Nurse! What in Faust name is going on in here!?" A doctor known as Dr. HeartBeat yelled as he quickly made his way to screaming patients bed side. "I-I don't know! She was fine when I walked in, but she took one look at me and started screaming!" The doctor acknowledge the nurses answer as he walked to the counter and unlocked a drawer labeled 'Sedatives' he drew out a single syringe and began to extract a few milligrams of 'Pentobarbital' before walking back to the bed. "Nurse I need you to hold her down as I give this sedative. You." He then pointed to a single nurse in the crowd standing by the door. "Go inform the princesses the patient is now awake." With a quick nod the nurse from behind left to do as the doctor asked. "Doctor I have under control for now but I don't know how long I can hold her still!" Dr. HeartBeat turned too the the nurse holding down the screaming mares arms as another held her legs down to the bed. Calmly Dr. HeartBeat swabbed a small part of the mares wrist with alcohol before injecting the contents of the syringe into her system. The hysteric mare began to calm as the sedative took effect in her system. Her screaming seized as her struggling began to die down. The nurses had finally let go as the mare had given up in her struggling endeavor. "Shhh. Everything's okay miss you're okay now." The doctor said as he calmly stroked her mane. "Why?" The mare in the bed softly said as she looked to Dr. HeartBeat. "Why are you doing this to me?" Tears began streaming down her muzzle as she locked eyes with him. "What did I do to deserve this?" Dr. HeartBeat himself swelling with sadness has he looked into the mares tear filled Diamond colored eyes. "What do you mean ma'am? We are only trying to help you." "W-What am I? What did you do to my body?" The doctor was stumped. He didn't know what to say. The mare looked to him with nothing but sadness in her eyes. But before he could ask another question a bright flash filled the room causing both the doctor and the patient to shield there eyes from the intensity of the flash. Dr. HeartBeat began to rub his eyes to rid the disorienting effects of the flash. The mare beside him doing the same. With the effects of the flash gone Dr. HeartBeat looked to the area of the flash to find a peculiar sight before him. There both Princesses stood, Celestia in a lovely white night gown with gold enlaced accents, a pair of red reading glasses and her mane now... Pink? Standing next to the Solar Princess was her smaller sister Luna wearing an outfit that really made the doctor raise a brow at. Luna stood there shaking her dizziness' of from the sudden teleportation. She wore a pair of plaid coated male boxers, a simple t-shirt that seemed a size to big for the Lunar Princess with the words 'Princess Pwns Alot' written in the front. As he looked so did the mare beside him. Even in her sedative state she grew frightened. "No." She softly spoke. "No. No. Please no." Her breathing began to deepen as she grabbed onto the doctors jacket as she looked frightfully to the Solar Princess. "Please! Please don't let it hurt me!" Hearing those words hurt the Solar Princess in her heart. She wanted so badly to apologize for what she did to her to what the others did to her. As Celestia took a step forward, The crying mares grip began to tighten onto the doctors arm as if he was her shield against her tormentor. "Tia." Luna said looking to her saddened sister. "I think you should wait outside for a bit. Let me talk to her, I'll help as much as I can ok." Celestia didn't answer her sister, she kept her gaze onto the crying mare before her as tears began to fall from her muzzle. "I..." Celestia tried to speak but found it hard to do with lump she felt in her throat. The Solar Princess closed her eyes and tried to push it down so she could hopefully say her peace before she leaves the room. "I-I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for what we did to you." Celestia could feel a new batch of tears welling in her eyes as she made her way to the door. The Solar Princess placed her hand on the handle and turned, but before she opened the door, she looked back to the crying alabaster mare watching her leave. "Please if you can find it in your heart. Please forgive us." Nothing more was said as Celestia left the room, now leaving The Lunar Princess, Dr. HeartBeat and the hospitalized mare inside. Slowly, the grip that the mare used to hold onto the doctor began to weaken as the seconds passed after Celestia left the room. All was quiet for the time being but with a cough, Princess Luna fought the attention of the doctor and the mysterious mare still barely holding onto him. "Hello." Was the first word she spoke to the frightened mare, the princess a soft smile as she continued. "Tis alright. Thou are safe here, thou has no need to be frightened anymore. We promise." The mare finally let go of Dr. HeartBeats arm and looked to Lunar Princess before her mane covering half of her face as she looked to the Midnight blue alicorn. "Why?" Was what she said looking to Princess Luna. "Why did you do this to me? What did you do to me? To my body?" Luna new she would ask these questions. But had no clue on how to answer them. Nopony new why this happened or even why she came to Equestria. Both Luna and her sister looked into this matter and no matter how much they searched they could not find anything to answer there question to why this happened to the once human male that sacrificed himself for the young human female. Even stranger was why he came here in the body of a mare, but not just any mare. He took the form of the mare known as Rarity the 'Element of Generosity'. Was there a reason? Was there something that could help them understand?.. No. Nothing would show not from the many books they read to memories they found in her mind. The only thing they could do now is help this frightened mare has best they could and introduce her into a new world and a new life. "I'm sorry." The Princess first said as she looked away from the sad mare. "We do not understand why this happened to you. Why you have the body of a mare. We searched your memories and found that this." The princess motioned to the mares body. "Tis not your real form. Tis hard for us to say this but... Thou had died back in your world. After the carriage struck thou when thou saved that small filly, the damage it did to thou was immense. We do not understand why thou were brought to Equestria, nor do we understand why thou were given the body of a mare. Please believe us, we will find a way to help you. Anything within our power we will do our best to help you." The mare sat there in the bed just... Dumbfounded by the revelation she was told. She died in her world. She lost everything her home, and her family. Now she was in this unknown place. Scared, alone and different. She needed time now just time to understand everything. "I-I..." She mumbled with her words before looking down, away from the midnight blue alicorn and to the sight of her new white furred hands . "Can you leave please. I-I need to be alone right now." Luna could hear the pain in the way the mare spoke, she didn't want to leave her, not like this. But it wasn't her choice. The mare needed space right now, and the only thing Luna could do was oblige her request. "Of course." The Lunar Princess said just before walking closer to the mares hospital bed. Luna placed her hand on the mares shoulder, the alabaster unicorn didn't flinch she only sat there looking at her small slender hands. "If there is anything you need, anything at all. All you must do is call for us and we will come. Know that we will do all we can to make everything right, my sister included. The mare didn't respond to what she said. All her focus remained onto her hands as she studied there form. With a sigh Luna let go of the occupied mare, leaving her bedside with Dr. HeartBeat in tow. As the Luna neared the door she looked back to the confused mare sitting on her bed. The Lunar Princess let a small tear fall from her eye as she left the room leaving the mare to her ministrations about her new self. When Luna and the doctor walked out of the room, the Lunar Princess was immediately assaulted by questions by her elder sister Celestia whom seemed had been crying after she left the room. "Luna! How is she?! What did she say?!" Before Celestia could continue, Luna brought her hand up signaling her sister to stop her insistent questions. "Sister I know thou feels terrible for what thou and the others had done to the poor mare." Luna could see the pain in her sisters tired eyes. "I talked to her, only briefly though. She... She wants to be alone as of now. She is scared about everything that has happened to her. She realized that she lost her life back in her world, and now not only does she find herself alive in a new one but she finds that she is no longer what she used to be. We can sense she fills so alone at this moment, we know, we felt the very same back on the moon." Celestia gave a small whimper as she embraced her younger sister in a tight hug. "Please Luna don't remind me! For every second you were gone I regretted that day I sent you to the moon!" Luna even though being younger by 1100 years to her elder sister, let her break down and cry into her shoulder like a young foal. "Sshh sister tis ok, we are here now. Never again will we allow the nightmare take us again." Celestia didn't say a word as she continued to cry. Celestia for the past few weeks has been emotionally fragile. Ever since the Changeling attack all those months ago, Canterlot and the rest of Equestria have been under surveillance by her guard incase of any changelings were to be found. When Celestia read the letter that Twilight sent about a changeling in Ponyville, it infuriated her. But when Celestia read further, she found that not only did the changeling infiltrate the small town that housed the 'Elements Of Harmony' but it also broke into the home to the 'Element Of Generosity' that sent the solar princess over the edge in anger. When Celestia found that the changeling wasn't truly one of the wretched beings, but an innocent pony she hurt and almost killed, the fire that fueled her anger was quickly extinguished after she first heard the mare scream in pain from the spell that she cast upon her. And since she brought the broken mare to Canterlot Hospital, Celestia, once she reached her bed would cry over what she had done to the mare. And every night since then she would cry again and again till she fell into nights embrace and slept. Now she was here right outside the mares hospital room crying into her younger sister shoulder after being reminded what she did all those years ago banishing her one and only sibling to the moon. As the last of Celestia's tears fell she broke the embrace she had with her sister and wiped away the remnant of the last of her tears. "I-I'm sorry about that Lu-Lu, it's just... With everything that's happened with the changelings and her." She said looking to the mares hospital room. "I just feel horrible about everything I've done in the past." "Tis okay dear sister, we all have done things in the past we regret, but from my own experience we choose to look forward and see what Faust might take our lives and those of our little ponies." You're right sister. She's awake now and that means we can do what's right and help her in her new life here." "We said to her that if thou needs anything from us all she must do is ask." "That's good to hear Lu-Lu. Come, we should head back to the castle. I need to send my student a letter on the mares current condition. I'm certain she and the others would like forgiveness for what they had done to her." "You do that Tia. We are heading to our room to finish the campaign for Haylo 2." Celestia gave a sigh as she looked to her younger sister. "We'll take about your gaming addiction later Luna. But let's just go back I need to raise the sun in a few hours." Celestia's horn began to light in a golden hue as she readied her teleportation spell. Just before she finished charging Luna grumbled to herself saying she has no addiction as she crossed arms in a huff and in a flash of golden light they were gone leaving a still dumbfounded Dr. HeartBeat in there wake.
