Sequels1

T

This story is a sequel to Symbiosis

Adventuring to the 30th century, a quick side trip turns grave as the Doctor and Derpy find themselves in the middle of mysterious earthquakes that only affect single buildings, and touchy robots with deadly tendencies. With the help of Luna herself, they set out to uncover the reasons behind these strange phenomena only to discover a plot against Canterlot itself. The TARDIS crew and Princess Luna must find a way to stop this mysterious mare before innocent lives are lost at the steel hooves of her robot army.

Anyone else immediately know that Ironclad would be the right destination?

Also, I find the princesses' relationships with the Doctor both refreshing and exasperating. They're refreshing because the whole "Little Celestia" thing is a bit overdone, but they're exasperating because the only 9th Doctor pony stories I've yet seen can never be fanon (logically, I knew that because of other things, but it's still a crushing blow).

I'm a bit confused. What's a "Little Celestia" thing? Are you saying that the Doc meeting a young version of the Princess(es) is overdone? That's one of the unfortunate parts of writing Doctor Who-like stories in the FiM universe, there are certain things EVERY writer wants to try to take a stab at.

Not sure what you meant by the second part though. :rainbowhuh:

2458974 Shotoman and Paleo Prints have written the fanon version of the Pony Doctor's adventures. Derpy is 10's Companion (and wife, actually).

The "Little Celestia" story (which provides some serious background on the Ponyverse's Doctor) can be found right here, so click this link. Now. If nothing else, it's a really good story, so click this link. DO IT, ALREADY!

Well, as it would be with different people writing fanfiction(s), everyone has a totally different take on things from each other.

It's the curse of the time lords. :derpytongue2:

2459136 Still, your way is refreshing, but now I must petition Shotoman for a 9th Doctor story. Well, after he finishes the current one (which is thirteen different kinds of great, by the way).

Nice to see Luna know more than Celestia for a change.

This is good, but it's a little too quick. If you're trying to actually match a Doctor Who episode with Doctor Whooves, I think you'd ought to make it a bit slower. Doctor Who episodes, in my opinion, sort of have a little bit of the element of the Doctor having just a bit of fun wherever he is before the problem, right? You know. ouo But it's my opinion. This is great though, keep on writing!

I'm starting to notice the fact that "Bad Wolf" is coming along every now and then in a few of the chapters from this story and the previous one. So, just going to take a shot in the dark, but this Doctor is going to regenerate soon I'm guessing. Either that, or something worth while of the whole "Bad Wolf" definition from the show will be happening soon.

2472043 Good catch.

It will be significant, but not in the same way as it was used on the TV show.

2472084 cool dude. can't wait to see...well, read it. i like your stuff.

Well, that was nice, if a bit straightforward. The telltale chapter titles added to this impression. Still, it was an enjoyable read.
