The Diamond Dogs were thought to have left Equestria, as no one had seen them in years. but then they attacked. The had been massing an army in the tunnels under the mountains. their first attack left a small ton called Bridleburg destroyed. they slaughtered everyone and razed the buildings. Princess Celestia ordered an immediate draft. Equestria was going to war. The war was awful and bloody, raging for many years. due to the enemy being known as Diamond Dogs, this bloody chapter in history became known as The Diamond War

The beginning was a little... strange, I'll say. A silver foot is connected to a silver leg which is connected to a knight? You could've said that a knight was walking through and described her appearance more. I'm also unsure why you tried to withhold the gender, considering that you slipped and wrote "her" a couple of times. I can't say that added anything.
The battle scene was also way too fast. It was basically "Twilight ran into Diamond Dogs and slaughtered all of them." I would've liked to see a little more, perhaps Twilight's thoughts or, if she's not thinking much because of the circumstances, maybe give the Diamond Dogs a little more character? These are, I'm guessing, armed and ruthless opponents, not gelatin constructs held with marshmallow paste. Surely they could've been getting more hits and swings in on her than depicted. Also, big dog commander bro, you write that he had impressive armor. Okay? What's impressive? Details, man! We don't know anything about how these guys are depicted! Is it impressive because it's steel? Because it's rusty and heavy? Because of its novelty? Show us what could be impressive for a Diamond Dog.
I'll hold off my rating for now, and I hope you keep this going.

This was pretty interesting. It put in me mind of the Spoon River Anthology. Short, to the point, cool setting. The music was very helpful in setting the mood as well. You should write more.

and yea, Turisas is an epic band. I would write more, I hope to eventually make this a series, but I can't write without proper inspiration. That doesn't come easily for me.
