During a heavy snow storm, Bush Pilot Damian R. Walker is sent out on a flight to deliver supplies in the far Canadian North. In the storm his plane is attacked by Windigos and sent into the world of Equestira, or more precisely during the events depicted in Hearths Warming Eve. There he meets a young Celestia and Luna before they become Princesses. In the snow barren land hunger, strife, and hatred run rampant due to the malevolent Windigos plans. Will Damian find a way to save the day, or will he decide to find a way to return back home and abandon the ponies instead?

Rated Mature for the usual graphic things, I'll try and avoid anything gory as much as possible.

In case any one is wondering, I removed the prologue and Twilight's side story since it had little in common with the main plot.

what a dick.....this is geting less apealing the more i read i mean who would leave two children alone in the harsh winter

2794886 Well Damian is a dick, but he isn't going to be that big of a jerk. He's going to look after them, the only thing is that he doesn't really want to. He knows that having two weak and defenseless kids along for the ride will mean extra work and responsibility for him; but he also knows that he can't just abandon them. So he reluctantly looks after them. I'll get to that in the next chapter. Oh, and thanks for the input! I'll make sure his character is more clear next time.

2794931 cool did not want to see the two ponys be left alone is all

This was an... interesting read. I haven't seen many fics here that start so early on. Then again, probably not looking hard enough. ANYWAYS, I think I'll track this

After some consideration I've decided to put the rating back down to teen; mainly because I'm still not sure what to rate this story, (The lines between what's Teen and Mature are kinda vague after all.) I'm going to keep the Gore tag, mainly because there will be a smidgen of it here and there, but since I've decided that it won't be too Graphic or commonly used it shouldn't effect the rating too much. Sorry for the confusion.

I like it so far, buts it's good not great. For me personally anyway. To take it to the next level in my eyes, well. Either Darmian has to learn Equish the hard way or English and Equish are the same. At least in spoken language.

I just don't like "oh a new creature that is intelligent and from another world/universe/etc. And it speaks a language totally unknown to our kind. Oh I just happen to know a spell to fix that." Just seems to...... Coincidental. Like batman's belt. And that you couldn't decide between the two options so went in the middle, to sit on the fence.

The next point would be to slow it down a little more, he got over it too quickly. Unless he's gunna have a overdue panic attack once all chaos stops.

But good points; I like the idea of the sisters not being popular before they become royalty. And no I don't actually like the idea of a kid regardless of race going through that. It's just a story, so put the phone down, no need to call the police or who ever.

I like that it's set before the main 6 but at same time don't. Not that many stories do that, at least ones I come across. And before the two sisters are royalty.

A mixed point is the windigo's, why did they do that? Just seems to me they're jerky mc jerk pants to me.

Anyone else notice Lina is kinda like pinkie as a child, in this story anyway? Makes it all the more depressing that she will be become or be turned into nightmare later. Which me personally don't think she's evil. She just a wants affection, sure going about it the wrong way, but still.

And I'm going off topic, just swell. Anyway looking forward to more :)
