The Affection of Princess Nightmare Moon
Part 15: Fury Unbound, Bandaid!
Hate. Bandaid could certainly tell you how much he’d come to hate changelings since the drone had pounced on him mere minutes ago. There were hundreds of feet of veins, arteries, and muscles pulsing with it throughout his body. Even his half-thrilled stallionhood, if the word hate was engraved all over it like a slimy, spidering tattoo, could not begin to express the hate in his heart. The love was gone, sucked out by that parasite. He’d paid for it with his life. For all of them, hate! Hatred and bloodlust and coiled Earth Pony muscle ready to destroy whatever he came across. He quivered at the thought, wound taught like gauze over a swelling limb, ready to burst and gush with violence.
He staggered along the half-lit hallways, salivating and snorting steam. He could smell them, smell their stink. Honey and oil and earth and stone, he could politely ignore it no more. Marked with earth and grime from sidling along the walls he peered about with slitted eyes, jowls lifted like a dog ready to attack.
Most of the changelings must’ve been outside building their stupid mud city. Let them, the bucking monsters. See what happened to them the first time it poured with rain. Stopping, he scratched at what felt like a door. There was a shuffling beyond. Smiling with an inner madness he waited to see who would answer.
“Hullo,” he husked. It blinked at him stupidly, for he was just a shape in the dark. Bandaid dove on him like a releasing spring. It shrieked in fear before he pounced on its head and struck it over the head. It limpened in only a few quick, brutal blows. Looking up, he found himself in an organized supply room. Nothing useful. He needed supplies. He needed weapons. He needed something to cover his head before he tried to cross the wasteland. Pulling the body along, he stuffed it in a crate and closed the lid. Pausing a moment, he clicked the padlock shut.
A pair of drones armed with spears appeared in the doorway. Turning with a furious shout, Bandaid leapt upon the first one, placing a hoof right where its knee should’ve been. The leg snapped and it went down with a scream. Rolling before he was speared in the back he connected with the second guard’s chin. Grabbing the loose spear, he raised it high and beat it like the sharp weapon was a club. It shrieked and thrashed about as the brown fury laid into him. The spear finally snapped over the poor creature’s hide, so he switched to kicking instead. It tried to crawl away. “Where are you going?!” Bandaid roared, following it among crates and into a corner. There he kicked and stomped on it. It whimpered aloud, pitiful and cracking under his fury. It curled into a ball like an infant, yelping with every blow. Finally until it stopped moving. “Useless bucking bug,” Bandaid said, watching the dribble of orange blood travel across the floor and touch his hooves.
He turned when he heard shuffling, for the first guard drone was trying to crawl away with one broken leg. He caught up, and crushed it beneath a heavy supply crate. Only its poor swollen hoof stuck out, which wriggled a little, then went still.
High on the fresh exchange of blood, Bandaid heaved a deep breath. He’d forgotten the feeling. Forgotten the thrill and the fury and the power. It felt good! He cursed himself for not signing up to be a soldier these past few months. Hurting things was more fun than healing! Gibbering nonsense to himself and making sure all three changelings were down for the moment, he exited to the tunnel again.
He needed water. Needed a covering. Needed to get back to Equestria where he belonged. Finally, he found the main chamber, the reverse beehive shape Chrysalis had shown him before. Grinning at the massive skylight, he peered about for stairs, ramps, anyth— there was the small group of larva, paused on one of the ramps, staring at him. Staring at the dripping blood and gore all over his body. Their eyes were fearful, and they’d frozen like deer in bright lights. Their painted mudball rolled forward, bouncing idly until it stopped in front of Bandaid’s hooves. He grinned at it, reeled back and LAUNCHED the ball as hard as he could!
The projectile dashed across the face of the front larva, making in squeal and launching it over the edge into the chasm below. The others skree’d in horror and scattered. Bandaid made to chase them, but a loud buzzing drew his eye. Holding the larva that had fallen, a caretaker changeling emerged from the black abyss. He stared at her, cocking his head to size her up. The gore dripping over one of his eyes made it hard.
She was a fat thing, with bulging egg sacs on either side of her. They quivered with new life, held in soft netting like water balloons in thin trash bags. She chirruped at him. Clenching his teeth Bandaid charged her with all his fury! She froze in place, horrified.
“SKREEE-OOOOOOOOOOO-HHHHHH!” The many-legged, sledge-puller changeling burst from a side tunnel, startling everyone present. It’s massive, centipede-like body motored down the stone walls, coiling about the caretaker and spiriting her out of Bandaid’s sight. The Earth Pony crashed into his armored side and the dozens and dozens of legs flexed at him. The nurse shouted at him in a wordless rage, bucking his back hooves against the beast. It reared up, cocking its head backward to make sure the egg caretaker and larva got away through the side tunnels. “SKREEE-OOOOOOO-HHHHHHHH!” It trumpeted, deafening and shaking the entire hive great-cave with its voice. Bandaid stubbornly stood his ground, and the great beast heaved itself upright like an angry cobra. Bobbing about for a moment, it bashed its head against the stone wall, avalanching a stream of rocks and debris over the earth pony until it buried him.
The impossible weight of earth and sand and stone pressed in all around him.

Nightmare Moon’s fork paused part-way to her mouth. A strange shiver worked its way down her throat. She stared at her plate for a time, trying to examine the prickly feeling going up her spine. Reaching, she regally wiped her mouth. “Something is happening,” she said softly.
Celestia looked up from her fruit-cabobs (it was ‘tropical night’ according to the kitchens). “Huhm?” she said. “What is it?”
“I’ve a sixth sense when it comes to dear Bandaid,” Nightmare said. “I think a changeling has fed on him.”
“We don’t share mother’s omniscience, sister,” Celestia said gently.
“When I grew attached, I could sense his distress when his gaggle of siblings were tormenting him,” Nightmare countered, looking out the window and towards the southern horizon.
“Oh? How?” Celestia asked.
“Luna tells me, sometimes shows me,” Nightmare gestured at the silvery moon. “It sometimes comes as just a feeling, though.”
Celestia looked up at the moon, wondering if Nightmare used it like a focus for her magic, or merely a reflective mirror to spy on others. Clouds covered half of it that evening, could she really sense her stallion half a world away? She took a small cube of hot pineapple into her mouth, chewing with a frown. She watched her sister fret a bit, then saw the expression morph into a rather wicked smile. “What?” Celestia asked.
“If they fed on him, then his fury is unbound,” Nightmare’s fangs glittered a bit. “And they’ll most certainly regret it!”

Chrysalis arrived on the scene, having heard the hive’s Colossus drone trumpeting wildly. “What’s the matter with you, huhm?” she said. He bowed deeply and she rubbed the top of his head. He nuzzled into her with his massive craggy face. “Yes, yes I am here now. What’s happened? A cave-in?” she glanced over at the damage. The spiraling path that lead to the surface was cut off because of the debris. “Hrm, we’ll have to have this cleaned up before tomorrow. The sledges of deep-stone come through here, and we have a city to build!” she patted his massive head, but he nudged her again, all the harder.
“Skree-ooo-hhhh!” he trumpeted, making a big circle around the avalanche of loose rock. He did his little happy dance with all his drum-drum-drumming legs, but his face was not a happy one. Chrysalis tilted her head, coming near.
Bandaid burst from the rock with a gasp for air, startling them both back. The Colossus quickly curled tight around him, its endless legs interlocking like the bars of a cage. “Let me out!” he shouted, bucking against the beasts hide. Its armor was too thick to break, even in his frenzied state. “Let me out let me out I’ll bucking kill you all!” he roared angrily, frothing at the mouth.
“I thought you were gone already,” Chrysalis said, instantly spotting the puncture marks on his neck. “Ohh, I see…” she trailed off, frowning angrily. “I told them not to feed on you… I’d wager whoever did is already dead…”
Analyzing his captor’s body with a critical, medical eye, Bandaid switched gears. With a roar of fury he seized one of the many legs in his teeth and tore it from its socket! The spray of blood and trumpet of agony blasted across the cavern. Turning as the creature uncoiled about him he launched the still twitching limb like a spear.
Chrysalis took it in the chest with a shriek. It went in through her neck and pierced all the way through to the back of her left shoulder. She coughed a little, spattering the ground with orange. Her legs went weak under the pain. Like a puppet with its strings cut, she fell limply over the edge and into the darkness below. It was several long seconds before the sound of impact. Bandaid stood there, panting loudly. “Hah!” he reared, flailing his hooves. “Got you! Finally, finally got you!” The injured Collosus was squirming away, gecko-ing up the wall and then motoring into a side-tunnel and out of sight. It left a thick, gooey trail of blood, squealing in agony as it went. Bandaid stood there, panting, looking around.
“That,” a voice said from the chasm, turning Bandaid’s head. “Was a mistake.” Chrysalis buzzed up, landing daintily before him. Pulling angrily on the severed limb, she tossed it aside. Her organs hung out, blood and gore gacking across the landscape as she did so. The Earth Pony, frenzied though he was, stared in disgust. The open hole began to slurp the organs back in. The blood ran backward like watching a film in reverse, and the splinters of her carapace closed around each other. “Have you forgotten that I’m immor-!”
Bandaid leapt upon her, tackling her onto her back. Straddling her shoulders he rained blows upon her with all his fury! Bash bash bash bash BASH BASH BASH BASH BASH BASH-BASH-BASH-BASH-BASH! “Ahh-h-h-h-h-h-h!” he roared with all his boiling, unbound might! The ground under the Queen began to crack and be pounded away beneath them. An actual, rather comical crater began to form around them, several inches deep. Earth Pony might could shape the earth, but now he was simply pounding it away! He rained blows like so many hailstones: erratic, furious and punishing. Froth and saliva flew from the screaming stallion’s muzzle as he did his damnest to brain her on the spot.
When his front hooves finally started screaming with heat and exhaustion he leapt from her, out of the hole, to pant. A long line of spittle stretched from his mouth. Heaving for breath, thrilled and spent for the moment, he stared at the bloodied body.
One of Chrysalis’ wings flick-a-flicked, then buzzed, then stopped. With her long legs and massive wings, she looked a bit like a squashed mosquito. Her wing flick-a-flicked again. Slowly, she sat up. Her beautiful face destroyed, she let out a long groan as her muzzle righted itself. The crackling, popping sound of rapid regeneration was like milk over popping cereal. He stared as she made her way at last to her hooves. One of her primary fangs simply grew back, jutting from her gums like a sprouting dagger. It dribbled blood down her front, then healed as well. After a time, she was as good as new. She sighed at the fresh pain, touching her cheek and smiling a little. “So what now, Bandaid? Are we two titans to clash until kingdom come? One of us immortal, the other just a fury unbound?” she asked. “I’m topped off with Mother’s love, I could do this for days!” He clenched his teeth, cheeks vibrating. With a horsey scream, he charged at her once more. Chrysalis' horn lit and she rushed forth to meet him.
End of Part 15
._.
I feel really bad for those changelings who where just in the wrong place at the wrong time...
And Noble. Funny how Nightmafe didn't think of her being there.
Ah, the Hate Boner.
Yeesh, I don't know if I should cheer Bandaid on or hope he gets subdued before he gets himself killed...or kills the entire hive around Chrysallis.
Nice Pirates of the Caribbean reference there at the end.
Hmm, i wonder what the punishment of child Murder and attempted regicide is in this universe, or if it all manages to slide somehow cause fuck consequences, ponies and shit are da bomb dun kill cool psychopath pone
Horn lit up. Lift him into the air. Problem solved.
Pop goes the weasel.

I don't think even Bandaid would be safe from punishment for the homicides. I mean, Nightmare has to deal with the backlash of her love murdering children and attempting to kill the Queen after he was set free, especially since changelings are as smart as ponies, if not more, but speak a different language. No matter what happens, Bandaid is screwed. And I can't wait for him to realize what he's done.
This might require the Mature rating now...
Finally, the bugs will die.
I can't help but notice that Chrysalis keeps brining up the fact that she's 'immortal' and 'a goddess'. While this is true, I can't help but feel this is foreshadowing. Faust takes her godhood away, maybe? Then again, Chrysalis hasn't really done anything to have said power taken away...I don't know, it just seems to me that Chrysalis has gotten cocky? It seems like Chrysalis herself thinks her mother is a fool for making her immortal...
Yeeeeeeeesssssssss, now Bandaid have finally paid the wretched Queen back in SPADES for what she did to him.
Heh, i can actully see the discussion between Bandaid and Nightmare once he's calmed down and returned to Equestria.
Bandaid: It was.....a bit akward now that i Think about it, while i was slaughtering all those changelings and beat the stuffing out of your sister i had this raging boner that just would not go away.
Nightmare: So let me get this straight, not only were you beating the one being in Equestria i despise the most into a bloody mess, also while doing it you were sporting the mother of all boners? That's two of my deepest darkest fantasies wrapped up in one, and i missed it?
GAAAH!! THE INJUSTICE OF IT ALL!!!!!
I can see it infront of me, you standing triumphant over the wretched bugs mangeld corpse, you being drenched in her blood, guts and your own sweat, and your glorious member stands just as proud as you, twitching....throbbing...........Let me tell you something dear Bandaid, had i been there at that moment i would have claimed you right there on the spot, rutting you on the remains of my most hated enemy, and it would have been the greatest moment in my Life.
Bandaid:..........I don't know what scares me the most, the fact that you have fantasies like that, or the fact that in the mental state i was in at that moment i would most likley have enjoyd it just as much as you.
YOu know the name of this chapter is Fury Unbound....I think I know a better name that also seques into the name of a song that would fit the entire segment with Bandaid...
RAGE AWAKENED
The Violence...it sustains me.

Never said the larva died. He got knocked off the cliff's edge and the caretaker grabbed him. The other's scattered. No child fatalities. :)
HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.
6335902
Okay, that helps his case a little, but he still assaulted a child in the eyes of the law, and murdered at least three mostly innocent changelings. He is going to have to pay for his crimes.
Yeah, the 'lings who had it coming got it coming, but I too feel bad about those which had absolutely nothing to do with his state and their only "crime" was being born the race they were.
But reading about Bandaid wrecking Chrysalis was incredibly satisfying. And he can pound away as much as he wants, since she's immortal!
An aspect she probably forgot about - immortality does not immediately equal invincibility.
So... what about Noble? No one worried about her? Celestia?
Soooooooo, Nightmare's plan was to let Bandaid, the stallion she claims to love, be beaten, humiliated, and then pinned down and have all of the love and joy and happiness and kindness and goodness inside him ripped out through psychic rape and then just do nothing and have dinner while he is fighting an invariablly losing battle against an invincible immortal goddess.
She is also the villain right? Letting the person you claim to love being psychically raped until they have a violent psychotic break is unequivocally evil. Celestia is just a spineless coward that refuses to protect one of her subjects and just let souls sucking shapeshifters do whatever they want, but Nightmare knows he is in trouble and is just doing nothing.
The changelings aren't even good people to justify not going to war with. Bandaid's wardens were explicitly told by their goddess queen to not 'feed' (read as psychically rape) on him and they do it anyway. Not because they are starving or don't know any better, thinking he will being a whimpering broken husk instead of a hate filled murderer doesn't count as justification, the 'feed' on him because they just wanted to. They thought it would be fun. They thought draining a beaten, innocent, prisoner of everything good inside of them would be fun, and we are supposed to see their people as the misfortuned and downtrodden race instead of the fucking monster people they clearly act like. If they didn't want to be forced out of society and starve in the badlands maybe they should act like sociopathic monsters.
Celestia's only counter argument against fighting them is "Fighting monsters is dangerous"... that's it. She doesn't want to risk innocent lives fighting a war against overtly hostile monsters in order to save an innocent, who happens to be one of the ponies she swore to protect as ruler. How many others would she just let them kidnap, beat, rape, and ransom to avoid war?
I understand that they are all being given excuses to bend the story to allow "Hulk Bandaid beats down Goddess" but doing so has forced their characters to become contemptible at best. Bandaid breaking up with Nightmare for abandoning him to being beaten and raped is the only 'good end' option that I can see right now because he deserves someone way WAY better that the scum that Nightmare is being right now.
I get the feeling mother dearest made her immortal for just this moment.
Know who else was immortal? Zeus.
Know who else was fury unbound? Kratos.
Everyone remembers how that particular story ended, I'm sure.
Now after several chapters with blood of various creatures, maybe it's time the "gore" tag to be added in the description.
6335878 Nahh nah: there's only ONE song fitting for Fury Unbound kicking immortal ass:
So it seems Chrysalis has regeneration type immortality unlike Nightmare who's seem more along the lines of resurrection.
Also by Chrysalis's own words "I could do this for days" her power isn't limitless, I have a feeling Chrysalis is going to end up burning through the love that could have kept her hive going indefinitely, in about a couple of hours fighting Bandaid either from regenerating from damage of or reckless use of her powers because unlike Celestia and Nightmare she has no practice to having this much power to throw around.
Well...that...hmm...Bandaid could use someone to talk to about his universe worth of hate he is holding within him. Very violent too...well let the blood flow and all that Khorne-ish rhetoric.
6335997 Do not condemn the whole for the acts of an individual. There is no guarantee that a majority of changelings would do what that one did. It was kinda played off as that one dumb, disobedient guard that got its punk ass killed and turned on the fan that was sitting before the avalanche of feces. The way he acted was they way they all HAD to act up till this point just to survive, old habits have a tendency to die hard.
If you recall, Nightmare wanted to go straight to actions that would instigate war to get him back, consequences be damned; Celestia is the one that talked her down. Celestia is also the one trying to prevent two nations from wiping each other off the map; in the case of the budding Changeling Empire, wiping equestria off the map with sheer numbers.
Chrysalis gave her word that he would remain unharmed in her care until the three conditions were met and then be returned with the envoy safely. Having agreed to this and Celestia expediting the process it was all expected to work out fine; and then a single selfish guard fucked up. That "Immortal Goddess" is merely distracting him. Keeping him focused on her instead of killing the rest of her people. She would have just killed him otherwise at this point. She knows what happened and is not holding it against him; recognizing that his current state and actions are a failure on her part of the deal. She doesn't want war if you remember; she just wants her people to grow. She has been given a glimpse of the future and knows she doesn't need to lash out. Her people will have their time.
His life truly isn't worth going to war over. If it was an issue that could not come to a peaceful solution AND would continue to happen to more individuals then just maybe it might be necessary to go to war over. Necessary, not worth, nothing is worth going to war over. Celestia knows this and has impressed this to Nightmare who has begrudgingly accepted it. Which is why she seems happy about what has happened with him. She is still upset he is gone and has been taken, however helping him directly is beyond her scope of ability currently. Nightmare is taking solace in the fact that she "bugs" just broke their own rules and he is making them suffer for it. Especially since it is happening in a way that cannot be used to incite war against Equestria. Chrysalis doesn't want war, so she can't kill him; her words have been broken so now she is in a position of debt to Celestia and Nightmare. If anything reparation will be paid to him personally by Chrysalis to pay said debt. If he has been fed upon in a way that even Cadance cannot fix, then there may be a petitioning of Faustian intervention on his behalf. As we know, Faust likes him. Occasionally a parent is required to step in and fix a problem that their child has caused and a punishment emplaced. This would not likely be something as severe as what discord got obviously.
I could see her and her empire being put in time-out for the rest of Bandaid's natural life-span so that he and Nightmare cannot be harassed further. This would basically just be a time jump for the empire, nothing truly lost for them. Chrysalis gets a small punishment and Nightmare gets to enjoy her time with Bandaid. This is of course supposing that Bandaid can or will be helped. If he can't... well shit...
6336437
"Chrysalis gave her word that he would remain unharmed in her care until the three conditions were met and then be returned with the envoy safely. Having agreed to this and Celestia expediting the process it was all expected to work out fine; and then a single selfish guard fucked up. "
Is how you describe her violently stomping on and him beating him until he is whimpering and sobbing on the ground for daring to speak? She has been repeatedly beating him after explicitly promising not to hurt him. She kidnapped him and demanded ransom for his safety and release instead of, I don't know, NEGOTIATING for water to restore the badlands. She made literally no attempt at diplomacy before attacking an innocent of a sovereign state. Her kidnapping of Bandaid is an act of war but Celestia refuses to defend her people because she is afraid of losing the war CHRYSALIS IS TRYING TO START. Nightmare isn't instigating war by DEFENDING AN INNOCENT FROM TORTURE AND RAPE, because that is literally what has happened to Bandaid by Chrysalis and her changelings. If Chrysalis didn't want war she shouldn't have KIDNAPPED AND TORTURED AN INNOCENT!
The second that photo came in of Bandaid beaten bruised and on a leash with a dog collar it should have been clear that they weren't keeping their word. The second Nightmare was warned by the moon that Bandaid was in trouble they should have done LITERALLY ANYTHING, but they didn't.
She loves and cares so much about her changelings that she waved off the death of his guards without a care and when one of her subjects had their leg ripped of and thrown through her she didn't give a fuck about it, only the insult to her. Chrysalis caring about her changelings doesn't make her a good person when she is willing to kidnap torture and rape innocents of other creatures for literally no reason, like how she did Bandaid the first time she came to Canterlot after Nightmare returned from being banished for 1000 years due explicitly to the actions of Chrysalis.
Chrysalis has be fucking over everyone all the time for over a millenia with the excuse of "I'm not an immortal invincible goddess like all of you, boo hoo hoo." and "My changelings that feed primarily by psychically raping innocents are starving, you should let us feed on more innocents!" Her first actions in the story is kidnapping an innocent in order to sneak up on a previous rape victim of hers, her second actions are plotting the deaths of her sisters and the destruction of Equestria, her third major action is after being giving goddesshood that allows her children to never starve is to kidnap an innocent and DEMAND that they give her more, and her fourth is violently beating and humiliating that kidnap victim after explicitly promising to not hurt him. She is EVIL no matter whether she 'loves' her children and Celestia is letting an innocent suffer because it would be too costly to fight something evil.
6336504 Your world must be bland and colorless because that was black and white as sin.
The entire situation is a political quagmire with the lives of MILLIONS on the line if war does come down. Chrysalis does not want war but she is childish and is instigating it anyways because she is vindictive and thinks she will get away with it. Think of her as a four year old child. She knows not what she does or the consequences, only what she wants out of it. Whether that ignorance is deliberate or not stands to reason. She is a terrible person with some major personality flaws backed by lots of power. I do not believe she is inherently evil though. Not in the way you believe her to be. The changelings are products of circumstance. Do not fault the monster for being what it is if it does not know of another way than to be the monster.
6336569
Think of the immortal millenia old queen as a child... Just don't hold her accountable for any of her actions... Really? If someone stabs me then holds my spouse at knifepoint demanding my wallet they aren't 'misunderstood' they may have lived a hard life up to this point in time but they are still accountable for what they do. The fact that she is the immortal daughter of the goddess of all creation means she must have it so hard. Maybe the reason she is a starving outcast is because she is a selfish sociopath that psychically rapes her sister and causes her to be banished for 1000 years and then never ever apologizes and accuses them of being to blame for her hard life.
Just because she has a chance to build a better life for her subjects doesn't magically excuse everything she has already done or what she is doing right now. Discord got petrified for fucking up the lives of mortals and Celestia's lover so unless this story ends with Chrysalis being petrified for RAPING AND TORTURING innocents then fuck Celestia and Nightmare for just handwaving away the atrocious crimes of Chrysalis.
Finally, yes I understand many many lives are in danger and countless ponies will die if there is war, but that doesn't mean they just shouldn't defend themselves from hostile actions. Chrysalis has been nothing but hostile to Celestia, Nightmare, and Equestria as a whole for the entirety of this story. Now she is kidnapping and TORTURING an innocent to gain more power, and your argument is that she is just a spoiled brat and I shouldn't be so harsh against her. They have literally no reason to assume that the she would suddenly stop being a violent sociopath because she became incredibily powerful especially considering that the very first act she commits upon gaining goddesshood is to KIDNAP AND TORTURE an innocent. War with Chrysalis is happening right now and they are just leaving Bandaid to his fate, instead of rescuing him and then starting negotiations.
What would Chrysalis actually say if they just teleported in and demanded him back? "No, its my right as ruler of the badlands to go into your homeland and KIDNAP AND TORTURE your subjects but you don't have the right to protect them." She already attacked them and now the threat is if they defend themselves then they are to blame for 'starting a war'. That is absolutely absurd. If someone punches me in the face and then BEATS AND RAPES my wife then they are clearly evil, I wouldn't be a crazy asshole for wanting to save her or have the criminal punished.
I know I am harping one the whole KIDNAPPING AND TORTURE but its a fucking big deal and you can't just handwave it away and say she is a spoiled brat. If there is any justice in Equestria she should imprisoned for what she has done to Bandaid but nope. Just give her everything she wants and make no effort to rescue Bandaid because fighting the army of shapeshifts psychic rapists that already attacked Equestria is too dangerous.
6336655 Yes, she is a spoiled brat. All the treatment she receives vindicates her actions as just. To her at least. All going to war with her will do is throw away the lives of countless mortals. The only thing that can be done is play safe, take minimal risk and find the opportunity to apply a proper penalty that Chrysalis will actually learn from. This isn't a matter of save the suffering of one and go to negotiations after. The circumstances is that there IS suffering. It is either the suffering of Bandaid now or the suffering of millions later. There is no right or just choice. Simply one with less suffering.
6336697
Ok, so how do you figure they should treat the fact that she mind raped her sister and caused to be banished starving on the moon for 1000 years? Or how the moment Nightmare got back Chyrsalis kidnapped her lover and tried to sneak up on her to feed on her again? How is that 'spoiled brat'? How is that 'justified' even in her own head?
I understand that they want to avoid suffering and death, but the second Chyrsalis gained power she used it to kidnap and torture an innocent while ransoming him for demands to gain even more power. The moment she gains more power literally everything she has done in all of this story shows that she will try to gain even more power through violence, deception, and threats until she is strong enough to just take what she wants. By just letting her kidnap and torture Bandaid and giving her everything she wants so she and her army can get stronger they aren't prevent war, they are ensuring that the inevitable war will be against an even stronger force.
If they want peace in Equestria the logical thing to do would be to deal with Chrysalis by say I don't know petrifying like they did to Discord when he started fucking up the lives of innocents or banishing her like she caused to Nightmare. It is going to be difficult to handle this mess no matter what they do, but Chrysalis has only ever show herself to be a selfish and cruel sociopath that shows no signs of changing her way. Even monsters can love their children but that doesn't change the fact that they are monsters.
6336697
How about this, if Celestia, Cadance, and Nightmare just teleported to the badlands walked up to Bandaid and teleported him back to Canterlot without ever attacking anyone would they be to blame for when Chrysalis start attacking cities? She already attacked them multiple times. SHE is to blame for any war, yet you are saying they should refuse to save Bandaid when he was kidnapped and also when they were shown proof they were beating and mistreating him because then Chrysalis would get super angry and attack MORE.
My whole point is that CHRYSALIS IS A PROBLEM RIGHT NOW, not in the future, AT THIS EXACT MOMENT and they are just sitting on their hooves doing nothing to save Bandaid while giving her literally everything she demands. How does that lead to peace? When she demands the throne of Equestria or she attacks should they just give her that too? SHE IS AT WAR WITH THEM RIGHT NOW, and Celestia is saying 'just surrender' 'just abandon Bandaid' in the hopes that Chrysalis will suddenly realized that she should be good and nice and abandon the ways she has followed for millenia.
6336767 How will they get him out without taking any hostile action? They will be attacked if they go there. The other issue you are glossing over is how they would subdue Chrysalis. How would they do that? They can't kill her because she is immortal. They can't imprison her because she alone feeds a nation. To remove her is to condemn a species to death by starvation or violence because without her they would revert to their old ways of draining others.
The other thing is that they are trying to avoid her attacking anything. So avoiding her having a violent tantrum is pretty much the primary objective.

Celestia scorched miles of solid rock into glass with a single spell. Nightmare and Cadance are in the same league as her and Chrysalis. If Celestia, Nightmare, and Cadance just walked into the hive with a shield around them there is literally nothing a changeling or a million changeling could do. They would also be immortal so even if they go through the shield it would matter. If Chyrsalis attacked them it wouldn't matter. They don't have to cast a spell or throw a punch or do anything but walk in and teleport Bandaid away. Yet they won't because Chrysalis will get super angry if you take the INNOCENT THAT SHE KIDNAPPED AND BEAT away from her.
The entire situation is a huge problem but giving everything they demand while ALLOWING THEM TO KIDNAP AND TORTURE an innocent means that have literally no reason no to keep doing what they are doing. Celestia is explicitly stating to Chrysalis "I will not stop you from kidnapping and beating and raping an innocent pony and will give in to every demand without any counter demands or proof of god faith" so why should Chrysalis not just always do that? Celestia not only refuses to stop her but prevents Nightmare from stopping her as well.
How many innocents does Chrysalis have to kidnap before it counts as war? How many demands should Celestia give in to without a single word of complaint or single counteraction? How are the only options "Let Bandaid be tortured and raped" or "War that causes the death of millions"? Why can't the Three GODDESS just walk into the badlands and sit down with Chrysalis to talk? They are Immortal, Invincible, and each just as strong if not stronger than Chrysalis and Chrysalis literally cannot force them to leave, yet they instead do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and give Chrysalis everything she wants. WHY IS THE ONLY OPTION TO JUST SURRENDER?
And the changelings in all of this may not be to blame for being soul sucking monsters, Faust is explicitly to blame for that, but that doesn't mean they should just be given free reign. Just like they have a right to live the ponies of Equestria have the right to be safe in their own home. Celestia as a ruler swore to protect them and yet when Bandaid, one of her most faithful subjects, was stolen from her fucking CAPITAL she turns her back on him. If the first lady was kidnapped from the fucking white house America wouldn't say 'don't go to war to save her' they would be screaming for her rescue because we have these things called 'principles' and are willing to fight for them.
Chrysalis has fucking gun and is demanding a bigger gun so Celestia is just giving it to her because she is afraid she will shoot. Once Chrysalis sees that Celestia is spineless she will just keep demanding and demanding and demanding. Celestia HAS to stand up or it will never stop, but Celestia refuses to take a stand on something as simple as DON'T KIDNAP AND TORTURE MY SUBJECTS!
My problem with your argument is that it seems to be "preventing death is more important being moral" and I disagree. If you don't stand by your principles, and you don't keep you oaths, and you don't protect those depending on you then I wouldn't want you as a ruler.
does Immortality in this case prevents your mind/spirit from being uttely and completely Broken or feeling Pain (both emotional and physical)? if the answer is not.... lets hope Bandaid doesn't get to do that to the bug, he would feel bad afterwards.
6335902 ok, just regular old murder and attempted regicide then
6335902
Too bad, you missed a chance to say he "killed younglings"
OK THEN
I hope that Bandaid will be back to normal at the end of this to be re-united with Nightmare Moon.
I Was like say WHAT! seeing the wrath of Bandaid.
BUT this chapter was amazing so much ACTION
Just think, in a couple years, Bandaid will be a scary story that changelings tell the larva at night that happens to naughty childen, like a boogieman.
While very unlikely, there is a possibility that Chrysalis could now "force feed" love to Bandaid, as it were. After all, she was able to give enough out to feed the entire hive without really straining her too much. Granted it is a different idea, but it is at least worth trying. It would also be extremely dangerous, but less so than letting him run free, and less destructive than fighting him directly. She would need to have him subdued, bite him -- possibly in the same spot -- then try injecting love into him instead of siphoning it. Just imagine if it worked.
People calling Bandaid a violent sociopath and or wondering how he will get out of consequences, do realize that he is basically drugged right? If someone forces a drug on you that makes homicidal violent with no inhibitors towards it, would you be responsible for actions or whoever forced you to, knowing you would have that reaction. This kind of situation is why we have laws about coerced law breaking and cases where if can be proved was caused by another..
6336966 She hasn't kidnapped and tortured Celestia's subjects since becoming a full goddess. She has kidnapped a single subject. The target was chosen because of his closeness to Nightmare. By targeting him she can get away with more harsh tactics. Also keep in mind that the state he was in when the photo was taken was because of his disrespect towards his captor. Imagine how Nightmare would have treated him if he had behaved that way towards Nightmare before they became close. Is it that much different? Remember, Nightmare attempted to EAT her sister's super-great grandson as a punishment for setting lecherous eyes on Twilight. The state he was shown in is almost expected knowing he attitude. One could almost be surprised she hadn't just killed him anyway.
Chrysalis really is trying to stick to her word it just isn't in her nature to allow him free reign to insult her. The problem is that the limits to what are acceptable are different for the immortals. Celestia simply scolded Nightmare for trying to eat Blueblood and told her to do some research into modern law. Attempted murder on Celestia's descendant and she gets a verbal warning and some homework. In case you haven't noticed, Immortals are held to different standards and are handled differently in general. Rules, laws and morality as mortals understand them don't exactly apply to Immortals in this universe. Things have to be handled diplomatically regardless of what an immortal has done. The exception being Discord who killed everyone that was outside and couldn't fly. He's not dead, just petrified. To do something serious or semi-permanent to each other as punishment requires the intervention of their mother. Which seems to be rather difficult to achieve. That means that all other squabbles (such as torturing and mind raping your sister's boyfriend) have to be solved some other way. In the end it is just the personal squabbles of a bunch of siblings that have dire consequences for the mortal masses. Squabbles that happen while mom is at work. Celestia is trying to be the big sister and settle the issue peacefully. Luna is trying to be nice and Chrysalis is being petulant.

Closest I could find.
Eh, this is getting out of hand.
Partially because of pony xenophobia, lack of understanding, lack of finding a solution, and negligent mother.
Someone remind me again as to why Faust was so negligent to Chrysalis? I remember a snippet on a painting where the poor changeling was kept separated.
I think Faust should come back for another bestowing of godhood, Bandaid: God of war

And the fact that the lives and suffering of mortals are basically irrelevant compared to the whims of Faust's children is part of why they are all horrible people. "They are above the law and we should just allow them to kidnap innocents and violently beat them whenever they don't agree with everything you say" doesn't make them not evil. It just means Celestia and Nightmare are still terrible people and Bandaid doesn't deserve any of what he is being put through.
Mortals can't even speak their minds before them without being punished but they can beat and torture and rape and even murder in small amounts with only a slap on the wrist. The only real punishments being when they go truly mad. That just means the entire world is awful, not that we should be more forgiving of Chrysalis being a violent and cruel psycho.
I get that you advocate restraint and mercy in this horribly dangerous situation, but the fact that this situation is not an accident but instead th deliberate creating of Faust and that Celestial clearly has no plans to bring Chrysalis to justice for everything she has done over the years means I have no respect for any of them. Chrysalis's hive has existed by raping and replacing innocents for millennia, their very nature has been a threat to the safety of every mortal and requires the suffering of either themselves as they starve or the suffering of innocents that they feed on, and that is exactly how Faust wanted it. Hence fuck her, and fuck Chrysalis, and fuck Celestia for not truly protecting the mortals she swore to rule. "Yes, I will keep you safe if you follow my laws, unless if you suffer and die due to my sister because she is above the law."
I see this whole situation not as a family feud where I want everything to work out for them in the end, but as an actual situation from the perspective of a mortal and this just highlights how little any of them care about justice or principles in the face of their family. If I was a subject and I found out just how much Celestia just let her sisters get away with while we would be punished for speaking poorly of any of them I wouldn't be ok with that.
6337959 Faust isn't negligent, Chrysalis is resentful. She looks different, her siblings treated her different, and Chrysalis was left alone to care for an entire civilization by herself. At least Celestia had Nightmare and, for a time, Discord. If anything, it's her siblings fault. Crysalis felt out of place, and while Faust tried to keep her close, Tia, Nighty and Dissy's exclusion only exacerbated her emotional problems. The picture was of the whole family but Chrysalis shied away from the others due to her own insecurity.
6337959
Is it really xenophobia when changelings method of feeding in this verse is to bit into people and psychivally rip out everything good and happy and loving leaving them a hollow husk? If there was a way for them to peacefully coexist and not be in a state of perpetual starvation you would think that their ruler would have a moral obligation to find it. But nope Chrysalis hates Celestia even when Celestia goes as far as to let Chrysalis feed on her. If there is actually a way for peaceful coexistance it would just make Chrysalis more of a monster for forcing her people to starve out of refusal to work with her sisters.
Also Faust's negligence was explained as she believed Chrysalos was strong enough to stand on her own unlike the others. So she abandoned her as a non goddess that perpetually starves and is responsible for a perpetually starving race just like her in order to build character. What a great mom.
6338147
It seems to me that the most that can be done to Chrysalis is what is being done to her right now... She's being repeatedly pounded into a pile of goo. She gets better. That will always be the result, apparently. If you turn her to stone (assuming you can do that, as the Elementa of Harmony are the ones that actually accomplish that fete), you essentially press the pause button on her, but that's all. And doing so just leaves her entire people to starve, lash out and die, likely causing a great deal of suffering and misery as they do.
So really, any time you pull mortals into the conflict you're simply using them as a means to punish an immortal sibling by destroying "their" stuff, as you can't do anything to the immortal directly. As a result, war is the single most selfish thing any immortal could do. I'm not sure how you can fault Celestia for showing contempt for the value of mortals when this is her entire reason for avoiding escalating the situation.
The existence of hostages is an ugly reality... Right now, there are many people being held hostage all over the world. The taking of a hostage is horrible and designed to provoke, but governments still know that outright war is far worse. A responsible government can't make that kind of hard-line stance about a single one of its citizens: "Harm even one of them and we are at war." The cost in lives, money, stability, and progress is far too great.
Beyond that, you cannot say that Celestia is doing nothing to secure the safety of that one pony. She literally reshaped the face of the earth to help get him back, while doing it in a way that sent the message that, yes, if Chrysalis insists on this getting ugly, they can come in there and break all of her stuff. But again, that "stuff" is really a collection of mortals with their own hopes, dreams and feelings, and so she wants to hold that back until there is literally no other option.
I understand being frustrated that a villain seems to be getting away with things, and the desire to see her punished instead of seeing her negotiated with and being given the upper hand because she's currently in the position of strength... But that is sometimes the reality. Of course, the story isn't over yet, so maybe she will get a proper comeuppance before it all ends.
I really like pissed off Bandaid. I want to see more of him dealing some justice to the Changelings. Too bad the larva got away.
I like this story generally, but goddamn I hated reading this chapter.
6358955 children...he just kicked a child over a chasm to his death.
Are you for real?
