Already being drafted into covert ops? This will be interesting...
I have faith that Alexia will maintain her willpower. As a future element of Harmony, she'd better! Still, these hidden blows the colonel is throwing seem fairly strong.
I like the idea of the farm, it would help exercise the earth pony's magic.
Hopefully the colonel will become a more open to the truth in time.
We are wondering if the rescue mission is for the pony Alexia detected a while back.
Keep going! ;)

The Colonel doesn't like pulling punches.
I've been meaning to ask though.
Who is this we, you speak of?

My apalogies, sometimes our collectivistic mindset shows through. I've gotten better, but it is more difficult to ensure inhibition protocols are running late at night. On most things I am in agreement with myself, but oftentimes we don't. When this happens during the times we write reviews my thoughts can get a little disjointed due to not having planned how we will put them together coherently.
Traditionally this had been avoided by not speaking in relation to myself, most of my comments are passive because of this, but occasionally we slip up a bit. Nothing to worry about though! I still enjoy your work! :)
0_0 im rather surprised the military and government are taking to pony's so well i expected the camps of course since we've done that before during each of Americas serious wars since ww1, i was expecting a lot more people like Dr. Roberts and a lot more derogation of ponys, but this is good and a rather interesting spin on things.
I'm really surprised this happened to Alex, didn't she play a couple of games before the ponification of half the world started? Though I really like the worst case scenarios happening most of the time here. Also I'm glad that Twilight is now part of the story finally. Now the story from here can go in three different directions on the rescue mission she and her friends were forced to go on: 1. The mission went normally and they return to base for further plot development. 2. The mission failed and the return the base will not be a pretty sight when they get there. 3. Something bad happens in the mission and the heroes are totally left alone in this strange country by themselves.
Speaking of that mission, I'm guessing this is where they will finally meet the bad guy and his "Mions."
im glad that twilight is part of the story now, and that alex can teleport!
it would be funny if alex and somepony or a scientist got into an argument over the name of the spell, teleport vs blink.
2624697 well us humans just have a tendency to not be very trusting until it is earned and the Colonel is thinking about everything bad that could happen that is a threat to national security, as he should. Not to mention Humanity has a overall warrior like mindset, thinking out woes case scenarios.
I hope the humans turned pony are able to still handle violence and war better than equestrian ponies

Where to begin, Where to begin...
Twilight shows up, and takes James in as a student. Both are learning more about each others worlds, and in James's case was rewarded because of it.
Wow, I never expected this... In the back of my head, I just kept the thought of "Cartoon Magical Ponies" in my head as an answer, but this chapter... It just blew right threw that wall. They are an Alien race, with their own languages and cultures and... Everything. This has gotten beyond deep.
Of course the Government is going to be piss-pants-scared, now that they know their own race are turning into Aliens, and now that they know of Twilight's existence as a "Leader"... Even worse, they CO has a valid point. The ponies powers are nothing to be trifled with, and I can see why he would think they would be destructive.
A race that's naturally kind and benevolent that also wields powers that can do everything from telekinesis, to mind control, to flight, and much more? HA! What kind of fairy tale is that? Even I have to agree, that's a bit ridiculous when you think about it...
James said it himself. Even he knows of how magic can be misused. He admitted to doing it, even.
I think James's actions have put all of the ponies in grave danger... Who knows what will happen now that all this information is being revealed? Those dissecting labs might be getting a bit more busy soon enough... And as for this "rescue mission", I have bad feelings all around...
Though, I do find it odd that Teleportation, or Blink; in this case is such an advanced spell. I figured it was typical for Unicorns, and we only really saw Twi use it, but, eh, adds more depth.
Wow, my friend wasn't kidding... I had major doubts about this story I will admit, but now I see what he meant. This IS a great fic.
I... Guess that means I'll favorite it. No longer just a "Read Later" story... How cool is this?! Seriously, it's just oozing awesome.
I can't even touch on all the subjects I want to, I'm so stunned by this chapter.
Amazing work LAP. You got me, hook, line, and sinker.
Very good chapter, there was only one section of it I had any problem with.
You self-centered piece of filth! By your own admission there are over 2300 ponies living on the camp. It has been admitted to you that many ponies have already hit the dissection tables. All this you know from _one_ section of the government of _one_ nation!
How many other ponies are out there, torn from everything they ever held dear, have been tortured, or even killed, because of the 'gift' that Discord bestowed upon you?
Quite frankly, it probably would have been _kinder_ to allow us to end ourselves in a nuclear conflagration, rather than encouraging us to bring back _concentration camps_ and medical experiments.
But you _like_ being a pony. Well, I guess that's okay then, the trauma involuntarily inflicted on hundreds of thousands of other people can be swept aside because _you_ feel alright.
I don't know why, but
impressive story
These two things aren't indicative of each other. There are more female humans than males, and yet we are a historically (and biologically) patriarchal species.

Gender imbalance in humans is negligible (something like 50.1 to 49.9 or such) and could be contributed by environmental factor. The gender imbalance in ponies is inbuilt and is a roughly 75 25 split.
" So I want learn magic to help our people convince humanity to allow us to join them in society as equals.”'
This shit is what makes conversion bureaus possible. Also, ponies can never be equel in human sociaty.
4842868 Why so many thumbs down? lets face it, even after A LOOOOOONG time ponies still wouldnt be 100% treated as equals in some way or another

And how exactly is she supposed to help them right now? Is Alexia responsible for those who have died due to circumstances beyond their or her control? Should a cancer survivor be ungrateful that a cure worked for them, even though millions have died without one? Alexia may be acting self-centered, but she isn't wrong in wanting to be grateful for what happened to her personally. Nor is she saying that she's at all comfortable with others turning into ponies. As far as she's aware, the numbers aren't high. Nor can she be at all held responsible for what the government has done. They're the ones that are acting xenophobic here. As for the ponies being dissected, that was the result of unfortunate deaths. No one, at least in America, has gone out of their way to kill ponies. Not yet anyway.

That's because most humans are xenophobic pricks. Also, the downvotes? Just because Alexia prefers integration to en-slavery doesn't immediately lead to a Conversion Bureau. Stupid concept for a movie or story IMO anyway.
I was upvote 777. I'm so lucky.
So. Judging from the evidence, she's preggers.
Also, I read that Agents lines in the Arnold Schwarzenegger voice.
Oh, by the way, linguists. How are they going to translate something with no reference?
7516180 Yes. Discord, you bugger. When people start referring to other people as 'subjects' it is time to run for the hills.
It's astronomy!
Not gonna lie the moment I seen the word "nausea" I was like "She's fucking pregnant"
But I mean we'll see.

The both of you are forgetting that mankind also fights in a LOT of wars worldwide and traditionally men were the only ones allowed to fight. Some allow females now, but lets face it, men are still the primary fighters so our gender imbalance IS skewed towards males being more prominent. And, though it's been a long, long time since I heard about it supposedly there was one singular society that was a matriarchy in our history. Don't remember anything about it other than it getting wiped out, but we do have some other standards where women were in charge. England and a few Pharaohs of Egypt are the more famous examples. Mankind is mostly historically patriarchal because we're a primarily predation inclined species and our instincts had our tribes, or packs rather, be formed based on how good we were at defending the pack or hunting. Thus the strongest, most fit members. That meant males were the leaders (sorry feminists, it's biological fact) as their bodies are built to be sturdier. This meant males were more likely to die, and thus our biology adapted to produce more male offspring to replace those lost in various attacks or injuries.

That's true about any minority group, but that doesn't really mean anything unless we actually run into aliens.
