I think you mentioned what the asteroid had been called earlier, but for some reason I had in mind Jenny from 'my life as a teenage robot' (XJ-9). Well, at least until it started infecting people into a collective...
So Loki has some pros at being a pony, even if she shows disdain most of the time. I wonder what she's collecting, Conrad didn't didn't exactly explain what was in the extra boxes, and they're apparently not being opened up yet. Perhaps they're part of an airplane? ;p
I find the lack of pony news a little disheartening, either most people are good to go with a zombie contingency plan or there aren't as many as we'd hoped. Most people wouldn't have a spare farm to escape too after all...
Keep going! ;)
Your story is turning out awesome! Blackstar is having trouble keeping up with you, but I'll be able to help him with the editing after the eighteenth.
Well everyone has their plans even the bad guys. Speaking of which Discord has to pay for doing all of that, I just have to hope when the heroes from Equestria finally do come. Most of the major problems would be resolved.
Robot alien zombies with a god-complex?
That's a new one.
I like this fic but not really feelin the alien invasion thing, kinda meh to me. Will keep readin tho.
Evil Alien Robot Zombies VS. Technicolour Ponies.
Thats awesome.
...Woah. Woah, woah, woah. This chapter. Holy nuts of pea, this chapter was actually a PLEASANT read.
It looks like the real beginning of the story has come, and we get the aliens... Uh. The Koridost and the Mion. ...Eh, I know i couldn't come up with anything better even if I tried, so hey, cool beans. I suppose Koridost is the actual race and the Mions are... Minions. Eh heh...
But strangely enough, I felt comfortable with the characters this time. It's like a switch was just turned on that made them bearable. Maybe that's what the virus does to them, makes them more enjoyable. All the other chapters were... Honestly, hard to read due to the awkwardness. I think it was the drama, and since this was a more light hearted chapter it was better for me.
Well. Except for the beginning. Not gonna really mention that tsunami much, huh? Heck, it seems Humanity isn't even all that rustled. They even have new Console Wars going on. I guess it wasn't... THAT disastrous then. Dang it, all that build up, and it just didn't matter.
Thinking about building a town for ponies, eh James? While I still feel like they should keep as far away from Humans as possible, I can't say this is a bad idea. Strays are going to need SOMEplace to go to eventually. What better place than a town for ponies? That... Loki will name. Oh no, it's going to be so off putting... Ahem, anyway, yeah. Hyped up for Pony Town.
So, uh. Yeah. Actually pleasantly surprised this chapter. T'was good.
No regrets going into the next chapter!

She's gonna name it ponyville isn't she.
Okay, that wasn't actually too bad.
I still can't shake the feeling that there is something inherently wrong, and psychologically unhealthy about this.
With regards to her later statement that it is _her_ mind - yeah, and it is also your mind that is telling you this is wrong. Why don't you try understanding the problem before you go about breaking it - the Gordion Knot solution here likely is not the best one. As for hating using Conrad... No. If you had genuine problems with what you were doing, you wouldn't have started. Everything you know now, you knew then. Nothing has changed. You were quite willing to use him before, so don't start whinging about it now.
Forgive me if I fail to sympathise. The irony of that statement is just too delicious.
Okay, Alex, you're being stupid again. The Jews are a people of learned, wise men who have, since time immemorial, provided such invaluable services as banking, lending, aid both legal and medical, and probably a whole host of other services far less stereotypical. Consider how, throughout history, and in every society, they have been the most beloved of characters... Oh, wait.
Right there. That phrase there. That is the basis of every racist argument that has ever existed. And if humans can do that to other humans, how well are they going to react to another species entirely?
Admittedly, this may be tempered somewhat by the oncoming alien mind-control thing, as humans are notorious for standing side by side with their most hated enemies when an unknown/greater threat appears, but she can't possibly know that.

Plot twist:
She names it canterlot. The oldest pony settlement.
(Alex is Celestia)
awesome
“I hate to sound egotistical here. But we’re a gift to humanity"
Sorry, but no. You could have been useful to humanity, but you committed crimes, and you aren't capable of rational thought.
I'm sorry but I had to comment. This couldn't be more wrong. Hydrogen fuel cells work by reacting hydrogen with oxygen (in a simplistic view), leaving water as a byproduct. You gain no more energy than what it takes to split water up into its constituent atoms via electrolysis. If you could, you'd have a perpetual energy machine, and those don't exist. Long and short: water is not a fuel source.
If it's doing this, then there's no difference between the subatomic particles in the impurities and the subatomic particles in the water. There's no reason to use just impurities, protons are protons and neutrons are neutrons.
I am going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that the alien entity responsible for this metal sphere of virus doom is what spawned all of the alien abduction scandals as they studied our biology in order to fashion a supervirus. Otherwise how'd they know what'd kill us?
Woah mind control facilitated by (from the description of virus) entirely organic means! These Koridost really do have an intimate knowledge of human anatomy.

Um, no. Hydrogen fuel cells work by combining hydrogen with both air and electricity to produce power. The byproduct is water. So, if the machines work on that principle, then you CAN get power from hydrogen. And before you think that this is quack science, Google hydrogen fuel cells. You'll find out its not. They're already developing engines that run on them.
well.... not quite. it's more like a contradiction,
She does realise that forcing the plants to grow that fast will rapidly suck nutrients from the ground, leaving it barren, right?
7515990 she's a hacker, not a farmer... yet
These viruses sound oddly familiar...
Killgrave made me do it!

ALIENS!? REALLY? Oh c'mon! I expected some EquestriaxEarth action! And we get aliens.
I honestly starting to doubt this fic is worth it.

Do you even remember the prologue...?
the meteor kinda works on perpetual energy. and it could've just manufactured the viruses with anything with all that power. How viruses can give everyone telepathy, I'm gonna assume magic is the cause, and apparently the solution according to Discord's meddling.

yes, but how do you get hydrogen by itself? Hydrogen doesn't just sit around in pockets waiting to be picked up, most of the planet's hydrogen is locked away as h2o, aka water. And you need to spend energy to break them apart. Much more efficient to just store that energy in batteries of some sort than breaking up water.

Japan's tsunami came and went, a lot of people helped, even more didn't do anything.

I... actually missed that bit somehow. I just remembered something about the planet maybe dying and Discord being bored? I'mma go re-read that now :x Thank you!!
Edit: Ooohhhh I completely missed that-slash-didn't understand it!
How is this not fixed yet ?
