Thought this would be original but turned into another Twilight is an immortal god just because she's an Alicorn. Sorry but that idea has just not rubbed off on me and has been done WAY too much already.

2387225 While I agree that jumping to the conclusion that Twilight will live forever, or is even a princess, just because she grew wings is a little...presumptuous. This is still a very moving poem.

What I had intended was to question whether or not she is immortal which I did not convey well enough it appears. She's scared and depressed about what being an Alicorn implies which most assume is immortality and that she would have to give up her friends. That's what I meant at least.

2387478 And you did a very good job of that. But unfortunately there's a lot of "Alicorns are immortals and princesses" stories out there. Kind of annoying and it does skew peoples opinions, as you noticed. Still, your short story and poem were very good.

Another poet in this wasteland of prose?! HUG ME, BROTHER!

Very well done. Hoever, I have to ask: I have recently finished up a story of mine called 'Pony Poetry Vol. 1' that featured both verse and prose. I cannot help but wonder. Have you by chance read this and found inspiration? Or did the idea simply come to you at random as it did for me?

You may have a hug! I have not read your poetry but I shall add it to my list of things to read. The idea was a thought of personal inspiration I guess you could say. I use poetry and verse to help cope with my overwhelming insecurities and I thought 'hey, maybe a pony would do this too'. I figured Twilight would fit in well enough considering her life has just entered a state of flux where insecurities and depression can affect a being the most.
