I've always wondered about a Ranger's Apprentice crossover, but two major things stopped me: You can't use a bow with hooves, and how will the ponies react to the Ranger horses? The horses are definitely as intelligent as the ponies, but they can't talk (well, Tug somehow communicates with Will. Telepathy, maybe?)
Hoo boy. Talking horses are odd enough, but flying horses? Horses with some sort of glowing horn sticking out of their heads? The first time Twilight or Rarity use their telekinesis, you just KNOW Will is going to suspect a trick, like his first experience with Malcolm's illusions.

This part needs some reorganizing with your quotation marks. It looks like you were going into Shy's thought process with the ice, but then somewhere in there she's all of a sudden speaking again, a bit confusing. I'm guessing that she starts talking again at "Umm"?
A bit less confusing here, errors are a bit more straightforward:

First off, I won't be updating for sure in the next two weeks (Sorry, I'm off to Pennsic). On top of that, my computer broke in a way that it is still usable, but takes a while to type anything. So until I get a new one (which will happen really soon) I probably won't write too much.
As for Tug and Will, how much of the series have you read? If you got to the later books, you'd understand, especially in book 11, AKA The Lost Stories.
