On a normal day, Twilight is curious to try a charm from an old scroll. What unfolds is a story of confusion. Just what did that charm do? Will Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Rarity find out?
A short story and a silly mystery; can you catch what's off? Good luck!
wut.
There was no build up, no story. It hurt my eyes to read.

Don't think you figured out the puzzle then. Pinkie's last line has a big hint in it.
And that's how Equestria was made.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY.

I think what you meant is "And that is how this amazing land was born."
2282570 That's just what they want you to think. Can't believe the Man, maaaann.
Heh, I liked it. I thought the characters and description sounded funny, but I couldn't put my finger on it. That clue was all I needed, though. Nicely done.
... I don't get it.
Ohhhhhhhhhh........
Hilarious. Gadsby.
Ah yes, I recall reading the first part of this when it was a WiP. Nice to see it's completed.
A good story, most truly.
Actually, a fantastic production, if you hold in mind its unusual limitation!
I feel like an idiot for not understanding. What did I miss?

Glad you guys found it to your liking.

I PMed you the answer. Don't feel too bad, it is somewhat subtle. ;)
I saw what you did. How many of your hours did this occupy?
2283942
A hoofful, I would think, about four to six, but not in a row.
Weird little bug here:
Also, jeez. What a pain in the ass writing this must've been!
2284031
Whoops! Thanks.
Also: Oh, it was!
I got it from abundant "posits". I had a hunch a thing was going on, but it took until that to link it to similar past conundrums.

It's fun that you and many individuals post in this odd fashion to stay with this fic's fun.
no letter "e" i assume?
2287974
That is right.
It took til Pinkie's clue and then reading the comment to confirm what I had theorized and I admit I'm rather pleased with myself n_n
Truly excellent writing, I am now off to dive into your other works and be in awe of how i'm not
stalkingI mean following you.You may have already but just in case, have you considered submitting this to EQD? Even if it wasn't accepted I think the pre-readers would get a kick out of it.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't take it due to the length. I've thought about it, though.
I was a bit too tired to examine everything here, so I didn't get it. I noticed "posit", and had no idea what it could mean, or, even now, after learning the answer, where the "e's" would go.
*yawn*.
Must conserve remaining energy so as to be able to write my own fic later.
Fun little story, though!

Glad you liked it. ^^
2305516 It must have been insane, trying to write this without that little letter E. I salute you for your diligence.
I don't get it. Don't know if that's coz I'm stupid or because I'm just about to fall asleep (not the story's fault, I quite like it, but it is 11:36pm over here.)
2306489
Up until Twilight undoes her spell, the fic has no "E"s in it.
2306660 Ohhhh! And that's why fluttershy, applejack and pinkie pie were confused and also not mentioned by name! Woah, good job on not using any E's! That must have been hard!
2307909
Quite, yes. Had to use the thesaurus a lot.
Oh wow. Dude. I thought it was just some sort of "purple prose" spell or something meta like that. And, well, I was on the right track, but I had to read the comments to find out. :D I liked this.
2628703
Hehe, glad you liked it.
It was one heck of a pain to write.
2629067
Any structured writing will be. :)
This... I can't even imagine how long this took to plan. Making any lipogram is hard but one with the letter E... that's the big time. I noticed you had to tweak the tense indicators and make heavy use of the thesaurus. Good show, good fellow.
2629067
At first, I thought it to be a spell that caused sesquipedalian loquaciousness. Then, I thought it was a spell that made everything normal.
And now I know.
Also, I was going to try making this a lipogram lacking 'e', but I realized by the seventh word that I was stuck. I couldn't even change the lipogram letter to another vowel, because I had used them all by that point.
Bravo, good sir. Bravo.
HOLY FLAMING HYENAS.
How long did that take you?
BRAVO!
2752475
Took me several hours and a thesaurus.
2752526 Good job, sir. I applaud you.

I'll try it; how about this?
At first, I thought it an obvious incantation of cryptic vocabulary and loquacity run rampant. Or, upon additional musing, mayhap Twilight wrought a charm of sound and fury, signifying naught but normality.
And now I know.
Also, I was going to try making this a lipogram similarly lacking that symbol, but I had to abandon that shortly past word six; nor could I switch lipogram symbols, for I had no non-consonant outstanding to swap in.
Bravo, good sir. Bravo.
A pox on thy lack of conviction, for this adaptation took nothing flat! On top of that, a bonus goal: authoring this post about what was grammatically past (as yours did), not what is, though a past action word typically wants that symbol as half its standard suffix, along with 'd'. - ff_rror

...Woooooow.
I try to do lipograms, get about ten words in, find I managed to use all five vowels, and then summarily give up.
Of course, I also attempt to do them off the top of my head, without referencing a thesaurus.

My two biggest friends here were a thesaurus and the ctrl-f search function.
Brava, Autumn Wind. Such a constraint must bring much difficulty to writing this story, and you accomplish it grandly, in a way that I can only wish that I could truly mimic.
City of Doors turned this guy onto this. cool story!
Huh. And I thought my history was full of all story possibility. Your writing shall assay my mind.
Greatly enjoyed the effort expended
It was a major trial to grasp what you did with this story.
You can has review!
