As with the others i'd love to see a continuation of this story arc, you've made some very believable characters here. Dinky was precious, Sparkler's a great sister, I love the Big Mac and Ditzy relationship, it's just a well written fic. Hope you continue it in the future. 5/5 stars.

I loved Ditzy Doo's Dismally Derpy Day. I thought it was one of the best MLP fics of all time and certainly one of the best Ditzy/Derpy stories. This story certainly lives up to the adorableness, cleverness and all-around superbness of that story.
Dinky and Sparkler playing Go? That's just so mind-boggingly cool and cute that my head exploded! And Dinky telling off Diamond Tiara like that? PRICELESS!
Sparkler is really fleshed out an made an interesting character...with a nice caboose. XD I love her interactions with Ditzy and Dinky and the running gag with the b-word is handled amazingly. Words cannot contain my love for this story and its predecessor.

Absolutely charming! It's hard to write an intelligent child character without having them sound like a mini-adult or just come across as annoying, but you have certainly succeeded!

I can understand your point, although it did catch me by surprise; no one's ever raised that objection to me before.
I haven't explored Sparkler and Ditzy's relationship in any depth yet; I hope to touch on it the next story I write about them. But in brief, I don't see them as having a mother-daughter relationship, but rather more of an aunt-niece (the cool aunt you talk to about stuff you can't tell mom) or maybe even like sisters. The line in question was meant to mean that she needn't censor herself due to parental proximity, although she quickly remembered the presence of somepony who maybe shouldn't hear all the details.
That story made me go "EEEEEEEEEEE!"

I love how you handled Dinky out of everyone else. She was a good mixture of a bright kid that knows a little too much than she should but not mature enough to understand it all. Writing for a child character is one of the hardest things to do and you pulled it off without a hitch. I actually felt myself cringe a bit like when my son runs his mouth. Everyone else was represented well in both stories despite how much they were involved or not. I'm not a big fan of shippings, but teasing Derpy/Ditzy and Big Mac is comically refreshing as it is unlikely, which makes it even more interesting. Keep up the good work, and stay inspired.

Sorry I took so long to reply... I don't mind people doing readings of my stuff as long as proper credit is given; I'd appreciate being told about it, but my google alert will likely pick it up anyway. There's already two versions of Derpy Day on Youtube.
It's hard to find someone that gets kids (or foals) right, but you have Dinky just right here. I'd love to hear more about the history with Sparkler and Ditzy and everyone else in their family--you've made all of them very compelling characters.
