I love you so much right now (in a non gay way). I was just wondering about this story earlier today.

hmmm, well lets see. Not surprised Luna is having so much trouble finding the pony older than she is. I wonder what exactly her search methods were anyway. Nice to get information regarding the public opinion of Luna, though strange that she would be so impatient for acceptance after only... about half a year? The time shift between the last story and this one isn't all that clear. Also kinda wondering if most people see the Lunestia negatively still, which would be logical if most see Luna as a monster.
Most certainly my favorite line.
Interesting to see the distrust and martial problems of Cadence and SA that the last story created with the Twidence. I'm sure that in no way will the picture of Cadence with slit eyes be related to this apparent B-plot. Probably gonna pull a Galadriel and demand that all will love her and despair. Should be fun. Actually, wait Travels did that kinda.
SA does raise a good question though. What exactly DOES Cadence do? Help couples with their relationship problems, by ignoring/avoiding her own, and rule? but Celestia says she's not really doing any ruling stuff, which just opens the question further. Maybe she paces a lot? In addition, avoiding your relationship issues by making the other party only think about sex is probably not the best way to deal with them. unless the only issue is lack of sex.
Also, I swear to God your Cadence is like a sex version of Pinkie Pie.
Its great. Got some good laughs out of it. Second favorite line.
With Cadences "am I supposed to share love with everyone" self doubt question, you'd think she'd phrase that a little better after her last attempt to share some love with everyone.
I'm not entirely sure why the Rarity scene was in here though beyond summing up some current events stuff. Maybe Trixie's gonna be a bitch and tell people about the Twidence?
And now on to Twilight. Poor poor alcoholic Twilight. Haven't seen a self-destructive drinking Twilight and I don't think I like shrewish drunk Twilight. Then again, I'm sure I'm not meant to. Also, I wonder if she's gonna have any ramifications from withdrawal. Would be an interesting angle to see crop up sometimes. Probably not though.
She also seems to think that she's so old that she's lost her chance to be with anyone, though in this case its all the princesses. Its a weird funk she's in regarding her relationship with Luna and Celestia (probably self-created by the Cadence thing) when she was fairly fine with the relationship at the start of the last story. So yeah, that was slightly strange, but its nice to see Luna addressing it.
And I can only wonder what the pool does/leads too. But I guess it can't be OBVIOUSLY (subtlety on the other hand...) dangerous if Luna's letting Twilight go in there. I do however have to wonder if there is a way back. Or if they told anyone exactly where they were going. If they didn't, they could end up with the same fate as Endymion.
Edit: Didn't notice that alternate universe tag. hmmmm, that throws things into a unpredictable angle. Will have to hold off speculation on that until more information crops up. Also, nice to see this story tagged correctly as Romance. You should probably throw that onto the other stories in the series too.
Who else knew Rarity was gonna splash the water on Twilight's face when she asked Spike for it?

mmm. I figured as much about the Rarity thing after some thought. Mainly my current guess is that it probably involves Spike, given his crush and the name of the story. And no problem on the long comment. I find it to be quite enjoyable to analyze stories that I enjoy a bunch. heh, its also partly just me ordering my thoughts onto paper so if I reread a story I'll know what I was thinking at the time.

what is 'power play'?....
2255152 Power Play is the concept of a relationship where one person is dominant in a sexual relationship, and uses that dominance throughout their lives. It's more than just Sub/Dom or BDSM, but rather a situation where one uses sex to increase their standing or position in a relationship. Sometimes--as with Luna and Celestia--both parties are willing. Sometimes, they are not.

They can overlap, most certainly, but what Cadance does in this story--by using sex to distract Shining Armor and make sure that she is in a good light in his eyes--could be viewed as Power Play. I suppose that it is mostly in attitude, not in action. BDSM often involves aspects that Power Play in general may not. I suppose you could call it a matter of semantics.

2255472 Thinking on it, consider Power Play to be the umbrella under which BDSM and Dom/Sub would fall. Both of those things encompass what is involved in Power Play, but aren't the only things there. So, it's more of a broad-reaching way to state that it involves that kind of thing.

2255526 Okay, in a Dom/Sub relationship you have a "Top" and a "Bottom." The Top is the one that is the Dom, controlling the scene that the Bottom--or Sub--adheres to. Me saying "active" Top is just referring to the classic image of a leather-clad individual that is standing there with a riding crop in hand forcing the Sub to crawl around on hands and knees. So, the "active" was just a word that I added. Not a typical term.
(And this may be the oddest conversation I've had in one of these threads...)

2255656 About whether or not it's sexy? Well, that's just personal taste. There are FAR more fetishes in the world than can be described in a short time. From my perspective, Power Play is sexy. It is something that I enjoy. To the point where I have been in a committed Power Play relationship for over 15 years now, so I am actually writing from personal experience in a lot of ways.
Then again, if it is something that doesn't interest you...then it doesn't. Not everyone likes chocolate ice cream. That's why they make vanilla. Just a matter of taste. I just put the warning there just as much for people who know they don't like it as I do those that do.

Interesting chapter, it was a good lead in and it helped re-hash what happened last story and establish the changes that have been happening as a result of all that happened.
Feel awful for Twilight, still a chance to do something is definitely helping her, the discussion on how Celestia and Luna "saw/felt" about her was extremely interesting, though in regards to the mirror pool couldn't Luna just make and send down a clone/avatar thing, she did show the ability to split herself as NMM.
I am very intrigued by these pool concept and the description of Endymions past was fascinating and the way it was described was somehow, very fitting for an ancient legend I guess. Luna's next line upon realizing he inattentive audience was great!
The Cadence stuff is extremely interesting, I could really feel the tension and awkwardness between her and Shinging (I can't help but still hope for Twidence., even knowing i'm wrong... unless it goes that other 3 way route
) Still your story your choice. sorry.
Anyway i liked Celestia's little visit, her scanning the room for details, the signs that there is obviously something wrong by how the house looks and is running all of it. Her talk with Celestia regarding love was also fascinating, I don't know if she's going to accidentally go NMM, but i am extremely interested to see mroe of her developed and thought on her nature.
(Figuring out what Cadence did within Equestria is a tricky thing, maybe she could be a sort of adviser or own an area of land and be responsible for managing it, or perhaps diplomacy? Course she could also be unemployed royalty!

well lets see. Luna's already having that true immortality thing work out pretty well for her, Twilight is REALLY dumb, Coldheart is just that, and I wonder who the dragoons are gonna be. Elements of Harmony is my best guess.
So I suppose the top questions I'd have are: If Coldheart leaves that world, who raises the sun? and follow up, If she leaves the world, wouldn't the "essence of the night and day" be gone from it, prompting a new one to be made? probably not cause Luna has left hers too but whatever.
I'm loving this new villain! Raze want's a crack at her!

Oh my this ride is going to be excellent isn't it? A parallel word with a corrupted Cadence, how delicious. Such a pity as well that Endymion lived a full life with the wrong Selene, condemning his world's love to the pits.
One thing I do need to point out, the unicorn that rescued Twilight is referenced by two different names in adjoining paragraphs. You start with the name Trueblood and then it becomes Trueheart then Trueblood again. Consistency is screaming in pain.

2288121 The Avatars of the Sun and Moon would still have a living body that they were in, so they would not be reborn if Coldheart leaves. As to the sun and moon...well, I guess we'll find out if that happens.

What made her dumb was failing to ask the question "why" at multiple junctures, and not thinking about where she was. Which anyone with half a brain could see is someplace different.
And she forgot one of the rules for when you get lost (and you know someone is looking for you, and could reasonably have a good chance to find you) Stay still.

wow interesting chapter evil alternateverse! Very creepy Coldheart, interesting stuff with Trueblood, especially that Coldheart let her go, I loved how excited she was that Luna could resist her, and the abandoned Canterlot/head wall were very creepy and atmospheric, I noticed a few spelling errors & Endymion saving the worlds seems a bit much (wait why were Celestia and Selene fighting?) but overall a very good chapter, i'm very intruiged by this alternate day/night cycle she may have made and her enslavement of Chrysalis. I can't wait to see what comes next!

Oh Luna you cant help but travel to different realms.
If you believe in m theory then it is possible to perceive the possibility of multiple different dimensions in which we all exist but with slight alterations. Say to our hair color, personality, even gender. Or through decisions and actions made or not made by others, we never existed at all. And if you believe that inter-dimensional travel is possible with the help of spacetime shortcut called a wormhole, also called the Einstein-Rosen Bridge; then with the help of the Einstein-Rosen Bridge, in this case the wall pond, it is easy to perceive the existence of a dimension in which: Luna never existed, Cadence became evil, Chrysalis had green hair, and Prince Blueblood is Princess Trueblood.

Dear god this story is like crack in word form, I must keep coming back for more. Your writing remains superb, the more information given the more questions I end up asking. Brilliant! I want to hate you for cliffhangers, I really do but I can't bring myself to. Guess all I've got left is the edge of my seat until the next chapter is posted.

Wow very interesting chapter! Hmm Spike seems very hostile I wonder if he's going to try something he'll regret later? Cool little crew Trueblood has going there (I figured she'd be related to royalty, but Fantasia's daughter, that did surprise me, well it was a secondary guess on my part) i'm guessing they are to play the new Elements (Gilda honesty)? It'll be interesting to see these two worlds go to war, especially with multiple Cadence's, I wonder if Celestia has figured out a means of helping her Cadence deal with the problem she is having. The dragoons were brilliantly described, and their creation completely nightmarish, though why were only stallons picked, excluding Big Mac and SH most stallions seem to be more or less the same size of mares? I liked the scene with Chrysalis and Fantasia and the added background it gives to them and their relationships and it's an interesting idea to have an allied changeling, I liked the use of Husk and Ditsy. I'm guessing Fantasia is collecting her soldiers either to specifically capture the princess's or to test the waters of the other world. Anyway looking forward to the next one!
